326. Silvanus Kettleburn
Silvanus Kettleburn wasn't big on the "Care" part of Care of Magical Creatures... at least when it came to himself. His safety was secondary compared to the animals, even those that weren't defenseless.
Sure, there were times Silvanus wanted his missing limbs back. He sometimes rued having a reserved bed in Hogwarts' hospital wing. But magical prosthetics were capable of so much more than mere flesh, so Kettleburn soldiered on well past when most would have quit.
His body's diminishment eventually eclipsed his love of magizoology. Silvanus retired to Hogsmeade, still near the Forbidden Forest and all its fascinating creatures.
