an: Since this is the week of Thanksgiving, and I am very thankful for the ability to write I decided to upload not only my latest chapter for "Harry Potter Elemental Savior", and "Nuts and Bolts", but I also decided to start uploading a new story I've been working on for a few weeks. If others would like to use the gaming system that will be present in this story just let me know, and I will find a way to upload the manual I have been writing as I write this story.

The system is not holy original, and that is because I used consepts i've seen in other games.

Any way. Let's get started.

Jasmine potter stared in shock at her friends. She could not believe that they would turn their back on her at this point. They both knew that she could not stand the spotlight, and yet they were both accusing her of putting her name in the goblet of fire. She had no wish for this. She would rather be joking around with her friends, studying for exams, and observing the contestants as they made their way through the tournament. However it seemed that fate decided that she would not be allowed to do any of this. Instead she was going to be forced into yet another life-threatening situation.

She could freely admit that their first year was their own fault. They didn't have to go after the stone, but if they hadn't there was a danger that Voldemort would have been back in 91. However it was her second year that proved that she was going to be thrown into life-threatening dangers whether she wanted it or not.

She had just come from a deathday party with her friends. When they had found Mrs. Noris petrified and stuck on the wall. Despite the fact that she was friends with a known muggle born, everybody else in the school had immediately assumed that she was the culprit. This had culminated in her being forced to go and rescue the sister of her first male friend. She nearly died from that, and no one had apologized yet for accusing her of being the air of slytherin.

third year again could be thrown at the feet of the adults. This time she had tried to stay out of everybody's way, while they searched for the convict serious black. However no matter what she did, she had still been drawn into the life and death adventure to save an innocent man, and an innocent beast.

If it hadn't been for Hermione's time turner, they would never have been able to save her godfather.

And now it seemed that she was going to be forced into this tournament, this time however without the help of her friends.

"so that's it? After all we've been through, you choose to not believe that I would not have put my name in the goblet of fire?"

Ron and Hermione both looked shifty for a minute, but still maintained their stance on her putting her own name in the goblet.

"Look at it from our point of you" Hermione said gesturing around. "It's very unlikely that one of the staff would actually allow someone who did not put their name in the goblet of fire to remain in the tournament. However Professor Dumbledore has not pulled you out."

"It doesn't surprise me in the least" Jasmine said now glaring at her former friends. "He's never lifted a finger to save me, or even offered the slightest bit of help when I'm in the one put in danger. And don't you to start going on about how you have been and put in as much danger as I have. Yes U2 went with me when we went after the stone. However Ron was knocked out at the chessboard, and you went back after finishing the potion challenge. Neither one of you has actually faced Voldemort in your life, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. You Hermione were petrified during the time that Ron and I went down into the chamber of secrets, and yet I was the only one who had to actually face the basilisk. As for last year Ron was laid up in the infirmary, while you and I Hermione had to save buck beak and serious."

The three of them had apparently forgotten that they were holding this conversation in the common room, because a lot of the students around her we're actually looking at them in surprise.

However to Jasmine's surprise it was Pavartie who spoke up. "What do you mean you had to face a basilisk?"

Jasmine blinked, then turn to Pavartie. "That's what was actually petrifying the students in our second year" she said looking over at collin, who had been petrified that year. "Originally I wasn't going to be alone, however there was a cave in and Ron and I were separated."

Lavender frowned. "Why didn't you get a teacher" she asked looking at Jasmine in surprise."

Jasmine nodded to her. "We tried" she said. "We actually got Lockhart to go with us when we discovered that he was a fraud. However he ended up wiping his memory , and the spell that he used to do it is what caused the cave in that separated me from him and Ron."

To Jasmine surprise the mood in the room was shifting slightly in her favor. She noticed every one of the girls regardless of what year they were in was glaring at both Ron and Hermione now.

Hermione huffed. "We only have your word that all that stuff actually happened" she said. "Yes I was there for the stone event, however we do not know what actually happened after I went back from the potion challenge. For all we know nothing actually happened and you simply passed out trying something out that you shouldn't have."

Jasmine looked at Hermione askance. "Do I seem the type to actually do that" she asked looking around the room and taking heart from the shakes of head that she saw. "Anything else that you would like to say Grainger".

That shocked the room. Jasmine had never called Hermione by her last name, not since she had started hanging out with them. And why they wondered did Hermione look frightened.

"WA, WA, what?"

Jasmine snorted again. "Never mind" she said giving the rest of the room a smile. "I do not know if I'm actually wanted here right now" she said. "And so I'm going to go and see if I can find another room to sleep in."

With that Jasmine turned, walked to the portrait hole, and left the common room. At once the volume in the room rose as students started taking sides.

Jasmine had actually left the castle by the time the students in Gryffindor tower had come to any kind of decision. Unknown to them she had wandered down to the lake and started skipping Stones trying to think of where she could look.

As she was doing this she made a wish on her subconscious and trying her best to avoid her magic, finding a place where she could get some training, and actual friends. To her surprise as she skipped her seventh stone, a portal appeared in mid air over the lake. It wasn't that far away, but she wasn't sure if she could get to it.

Deciding that there was no sense in not trying, she walked out into the lake dressed as she was and waited towards the portal. It only took her a couple of minutes to actually reach the entrance to the portal, and pull herself up and fall through it.

Just as she did this, there was a shriek in the headmasters office as the instruments tied to her started to fail.

As Dumbledore looked around in panic, what could've possibly started this. He figured that this was a new attempt by Voldemort to kill Jasmine, but it was too early. He needed to find the rest of the Horcrux is before she could die.

Jasmine felt like she was being squeezed through a very large hose, that nevertheless did not want her to pass. As she reached the end, she was spat out and landed in a grassy field. Looking around she saw that there were buildings off to the west, but there was a castle straight ahead of her.

"This is new" she thought as she looked around trying to decide if she should go for what looks like the town, or start with the castle.

The decision however was taken out of her hands as she saw a woman walk out of the castle and with a surprise look on her face run toward her.

"I never thought I would see someone from the Harry Potter universe show up in our world" she said as she drew near.

Jasmine studied the woman in puzzlement. Dressed all in yellow the woman was only about 4 feet tall, but she held an ora of strength. She wore what Jasmine came to recognize as boxing gloves. However they were glowing, and Jasmine figured that there was some real power behind them.

Her dress as mentioned before was sunny yellow, it came down to her knees, however it did not seem to impede her movement. Around her neck set an elaborate choker made out of what looked like spun gold. It wasn't very thick or thin, it seem to be just right for not allowing it to go over somebody's head unless the clasp was pulled out. On her feet were a set of high-grade sandals, open toed that seem to give her feet even more freedom of movement. On each wrist was a bracer of the same type of material that was around her neck, with the exception that these were glowing just like the gloves. However the most surprising item that Jasmine could see was the enormous ring she wore on her right hand. Made of pure gold the ring held a topaz in the center that seem to be the source of the glowing that could be seen on her gloves and bracers.

"You know what universe I come from" she asked looking around and excitement.

The young woman nodded. "Our world is a nexus for a lot of other universes that come through trying to get a power boost for one reason or another. However we only take those who have a genuine interest in protecting others, and keeping the peace."

Jasmine felt the excitement within her rise exponentially. That was the sort of thing that she liked to do on her own, and was often forced to buy others. "Is there a way for you to determine if I'm allowed to get training here?"

The woman smiled at her. "Oh darling, I can already tell that you deserve the power boost that we often give to people" she said taking Jasmine's arm. "Come along, Lightning will want to meet you and then we can determine how best to power you up."

Back at Hogwarts albus had run from his office to the Gryffindor common room. After gaining entrance he found the gryffindors in what for them was a quiet yelling match.

On one side he could see stood Ron and Hermione backed up no doubt by Ginny Weasley. However to his surprise on the other side was every other Gryffindor from first year to seventh year.

Raising his wand he let off a cannon blast to get their attention.

"Now that I have your attention" he said his eyes twinkling away. "What seems to be the problem here?"

Before Hermione could open her mouth, Katie Bell spoke up.

"Headmaster" she said giving him a nodd. "We were just discussing whether or not Jasmine deserves banishment."

This was actually what Albus wanted, but he couldn't let them see that. "So why are you all gaining up on her" he said is I still twinkling away.

However to his surprise Katty shook her head.

"You misunderstand headmaster" she said. "The rest of us do not want to banish Jasmine from Gryffindor. We believe that she has displayed the qualities that are required for the house, despite what some other people may say, or think."

This surprised Albus. He didn't know that Jasmine had friends that loyal in the Gryffindor tower.

"Well as headmaster I'm not allowed to interfere with any house politics. However I will ask if any of you has actually seen her in the past half hour" his eyes twinkling at record levels. However to his dismay every single one of them shook their heads.

"She left the common room 45 minutes ago" lavender Brown said nodding towards the portrait that Albus had entered through. "We were going to wait for her to come back to let her know that she didn't have to leave."

This was not what Albus wanted, but as he said he couldn't go against them. He was also not allowed to use any charms on them, or the banishment would not take.

"Very well" he said giving all of them a smile. "When she does come back, please let her know that I would like to see her as soon as possible."

All the Gryffindors nodded to him, and Elvis left the common room. "Where are you Jasmine Potter" he thought as he walked back to his office

Jasmine was at that very moment standing in front of Lightning, the elemental master of light. He was scrutinizing her from head to toe, and the smile that he was wearing had made the heat in her chest blossom into a raging inferno.

"She is most definitely qualified for the gamer power" he said giving Jasmine a warm bright smile.

Jasmine nearly fainted at the sight of that smile. She didn't know she wasn't the first or would probably not be the last affected by that smile.

"TH, thank you" she stutter trying to bring herself back under control. "May I ask, what is this gamer power?"

The woman in blue, who have been introduced as rain smoke up. "Gamer power allows us to turn your life into a video game following the rules of our elemental powers. You will have a character sheet, and all your decisions will actually be decided by dice."

This actually made Jasmine panic. She knew her luck was abhorrent. After all she kept being pushed into life threatening situation after situation. "Is there any way to affect the stats that I will be having" she asked her voice trembling at the very thought.

Heart, the woman dressed in red put a hand on her shoulder, and wrapped the other arm around her. "Don't worry Jasmine" she said patting her on the back with the hand of the arm that was wrapped around her. "We recognize that your luck has been abysmal the last few years, and we believe that once the gamer power takes hold you will still have bad luck, but it won't be anywhere near as bad as it has been. In addition to that we will be taking time to get you trained up in your powers so you know what you're doing when you go back."

At these words Jasmine calm down considerably. "Then how do I get started" she asked ringing her hands in anticipation.

The one in black called Shadow stepped up. "First we must generate your character sheet" she said waving her hand in an intricate pattern. As she finish the pattern a screen popped up in front of Jasmine.

Jasmine looked at the words in puzzlement for a minute then with anticipation reached out and tapped the words.

"What does it mean by choose name" she asked. "My name is Jasmine Potter"

As she said this next to the words her name appeared. `name: Jasmine Potter

Jasmine saw the amusement on the faces of all six elemental guardians.

"Why are you all laughing at me" she asked pouting for effect. That just made the Masters around her laugh harder.

"You're not the first to go through this process Jasmine" Pre-said the one dressed in yellow laughing even harder at jasmines look.

"Everyone goes through the same process, and every single one has had the same reaction."

Upon hearing that Jasmine joined them in laughter. "How do I accept the decision here" she asked.

Satellite, the one dressed in green who had yet to speak smiled at her. "You just need to give an indication either verbal, or physical of whether you except or deny the choice that's up there."

Jasmine turned back to face the screen, and nodded. With that the screen disappeared and a new one took its place.

`name excepted.

Elemental choice: light Y/N grave accent

Everybody, including Jasmine stared at what the box said.

"You mean her inate element is light" Rain said in surprise. "I would've guessed that her element was air. After all she flies like a bird when she's on her broom."

However to everybody elses surprise Lightning shook his head. "I could tell that her innate element was light as soon as I laid eyes on her" he said gesturing to Jasmine. "It is not however why I agreed to give her the gamers power. Her soul is even brighter than mine is, and she will do wonders things with it."

Jasmine blushed at lightnings words. "Can I get an overview of what the elements actually would give me"

It was Rain that smiled at her. "Each one of the elements has a strength and a weakness" she said settling into what Jasmine recognized as a lecture mode from Hermione. "Light elementals are the massive spell casters of any group party" she said pulling Jasmine over a little closer to the screen. "They get massive mana reserves, and can learn not only light type spells, but also meteor type ones."

Jasmine looked surprised at this, but waited for rain to continue.

"Of course the drawback to light elementals is they get very low hit points, and their defense is almost negligent."

"Air elementals, which is what we thought you were going to be first, are basically the speedster of the group, they gain the ability to fly at level 10, and their spells are all based in wind. The downside to air elementals is their physical strength, they cannot carry very much, and they can't deal as much damage with their physical attacks. Because of this they rely heavily on their spells. Even though they don't get as much mana as a light elemental does."

Jasmine nodded.

Heart interrupted her sister.

"You're forgetting the weapons that each elemental is restricted to access" she said walking over to the two. "Since you've already told her about the light and air elementals you have to tell her that light elementals use sword-based weapons, where air elementals use a bow."

Rain gave her sister and exasperated look. "I was going to get around to that after finishing the strengths and weaknesses of each elemental type."

Jasmine nodded at both. "I'm glad to know that already" she said nodding to both heart and rain. "I already have small experience with a sword, and I don't know if it will translate into the game."

Lightning nodded to her. "It wouldn't actually" he said.

Rain reassumed her lecture pose. "My own element water is kind of the middle ground for most things. I focus again like air elementals on spells more than physical attacks, although my weapon of choice is an ax or a hammer. The real downside to my element is the fact that you don't get a lot of charm in your stats. This means that you can be very susceptible to dark type spells."

Jasmine not it at that. "I assume you're going to be explaining what the attributes are?"

Rain nodded affirmative. "The shadow element is more technological-based than any of the others. Their spells take the form of machine type weapons, however the real upside to the shadow element is the fact that you can actually become a physical tank. Your defense can go through the roof as can your HP. The downside is that your mana reserves are quite low. It's the opposite of light actually."

Jasmine looked thoughtful at that. "I might take that up" she said. "Assuming The rest of the elements don't have something that I would like to have."

Shadow smiled at that. Lightning who was standing on the other side of the room from her gave her a rude gesture which she returned in kind. Jasmine ignored them, and turned back to Rain.

"The earth element, which is what Pre-has is the physically strongest element around. Your strength goes through the roof, although your dexterity is lowered. You don't get the ability to fly, but you would get the ability to run at supersonic speed's. You would also be relying mostly on physical attacks, since your spells are wide range, High damaged area of affect spells."

Pre-interrupted. "I believe I only have two spells that can be targeted on a physical opponent."

Both Jasmine and Rain nodded to her and acknowledgment.

"The last element is fire. This is what Heart has, and it's the opposite of mine. You get charm that goes through the roof, but your intelligence is lowered. It doesn't mean you'll be stupid, but it certainly means that your spell power is not as high as it otherwise would be."

Jasmine look thoughtful. "I can't decide what would actually be better" she said. "Is it possible to have my element chosen at random?"

That made all the other elemental masters blink. It was lightning that spoke up. "Yes" he said strolling over to where she was standing. "All you have to do is say dice roll, and a random element will be chosen from 1 to 6. Light is one, and six is fire."

Shadow spoke up. "However you will be stuck with the element this chooses. You cannot decline or change it afterward it's automatically selected."

Jasmine nodded in acknowledgment, then took a stance looking at the screen. "Dice roll" she said.

Pre-grinned as everybody else groaned. "Looks like you're stuck with me for training Jasmine" she said clapping one hand on her shoulder.

Lightning straitened going into what looked like business mode. "jasmine " he said. "For the next five years our time you'll be training with Pre-here learning the ins and outs of the earth elemental powers.

Jasmine tilted her head in confusion. "What do you mean five years our time?"

Pre-steered her out of the room as she talked. "Time in our world is far different from time in yours" she said. "Five years here will only be five minutes and yours. Within that time you'll understand the ins and outs of being an earth elemental in the gamer system."

"OK, the first thing we need to do is distribute the attribute points that every player is given at the start of their game."

Jasmine stared at the sheet that she could see hovering above her.

Jasmine Potter's character sheet

Name: jasmine Potter

Color: yellow

Race:?

Class:?

Hand: right

Strength: five

Intelligence: five

Dexterity: five

Constitution: five

Charm: five

Mana: five

Points remaining 60

"Can you tell me what these attributes are?"

Pre-smiled at her. "A lot of them should be explanatory. Strength for example is a measure of your physical prowess. The higher your strength the more damage you can do with a punch. It's a good thing too because as an earth elemental that's what you'll be relying on the most when it comes to physical fights. You'll still have access to the spells that you learn in Hogwarts, but you'll be doing most of your damage with your fists."

"Intelligence is a measure of how powerful your spells are. And I don't just mean the ones that you'll be learning here in the gaming system. The spells that you learn in Hogwarts will get a power boost the higher your intelligence stat is."

"Dexterity is a measure of how light you are on your feet. It helps in dodging not only physical attacks but also spells. Especially the ones that you can see coming. This is useful in Hogwarts, because you actually have a chance of seeing the spells coming. Don't expect that to help you in the game system against spells, because those spells are instantaneous and they often don't have any color to warn you of what they are."

"Constitution is a determination of your health. The higher your constitution is, the more hit points you get every time you level up."

"Charm is what helps determine your resistance against spells. I suspect that if we applied your actual life to your stats here before distributing any attribute points, we would find your charm is through the roof. That's probably why you're able to throw off the imperious curse so easily."

"Finally manna is a measure of your magic reserves. The higher your Monistat, the more magic points you'll be able to use to cast spells. Again I suspect that if we applied your real life to this, your mana will be through the roof. But that's simply because you're so powerful."

Jasmine looked at her ascants. "Is there any way to apply my real life stats to my gamer ones?"

Pre-beamed. "Only you can actually decide to do that, because it will take your real life luck into account if you do it."

Jasmine thought it over for a couple of minutes, then not a decisively. "How do I do this?"

Pre's smile lit up the room. "Simply say out loud apply life stats."

Jasmine nodded, straightened, and said "apply life stats".

There was a flash of light, and the stats on her screen changed.

Pre-was also staring in surprise. "Holy cow" she exclaimed. "That's almost as high as lightning was when he first transformed."

Jasmine shook her self a little bit, then turned to pre-. "What do I do with these attribute points. I assume they go into my attributes, but how do I place them?"

Pre-smiled at her student. "All you need to do is say the attribute you want to add to, then say either plus, or minus, and then the number of points you wish to add or subtract to the stat."

"You can also just say balance, and that will distribute 10 points to every stat."

Jasmine eyed the screen. "I don't think I need to add any more points to Mana. So I think I should be putting points into my 4 lowest stats."

Pre-put one hand on Jasmine shoulder. "Just so your aware" she said smiling. "Because of your elemental choice, you'll be getting five points to strength every time you level up. However when you first finish initializing your character sheet, you will lose five points of dexterity."

Jasmine nodded, then turned and face the screen. "Strength plus10".

Choose a race

Angel

Random

Grave accent

Jasmine turned to Pre in puzzlement. "Should I choose human here? After all that's what I am."

Pre-however shook her head. "This isn't to choose your current race. This is to choose what race that you draw traits from. Each race has its own strengths and weaknesses just like the elements do. The exception here is human, but they do get one advantage in more EXP.

The one race you're actually missing from that list is elf, but that's not available to those of us who are an earth elemental. It's unfortunate because elves love the forest, and we are often at home in one. However since that's not available to us let's look at the rest.

Dwarves are the race that actually give us earth elementals a real advantage. They give you an automatic plus 3 to your strength at outset, and a plus 2 to your strength every time you level up. That's in addition to any other attribute points you add to it. And don't forget as an earth elemental you're already getting +5 to your strength, so that will turn into a plus 7.

Dranne are what the people know in your world as Murph oak. They're at home and water, and they get a boost to their intelligence when they first get selected. There is however no other enhancements to it, although you automatically get the skill swim. Whether or not you had it to begin with or not. As an earth elemental you will have more power when water is added, but you will get no other enhancements.

Angels are tied to the light elemental. They often go hand-in-hand, although I've seen some angels that have turned evil. Although I've seen one evil light elemental as well. However the advantage for an angel is that you get a boost to your mana at first outset. Again since you're not a light elemental it's a one time thing, but it's a pretty big one as they will add 10 to your mana.

Mechs are the opposite. Instead of giving a boost to Mana, they will give you a boost to your constitution. Mechs are actually machines that humans have built in our world, and they get stat boosts by equipping various equipment. However again you will only get a one time boost if you choose this race.

Finally there's the fairy race. This is attached to fire, and because of that they will give you a boost to charm. There is however unlike the rest one upside for earth elementals. They will give you the ability to add fire to your fists. This will essentially allow you to learn techniques that combined your punches with fire."

Jasmine frowned and thought. "Wouldn't that mean that as earth elemental I could actually add attacks from the other elements if I picked their particular race?"

Pre-looked thoughtful for a minute. "I don't think so" she said. "But I don't know that for a fact, since nobody has actually tried combining earth with any other race. You're certainly welcome to try if you like."

Jasmine read the list for a bit in contemplation. "Is random what I think it is?"

Pre-nodded. "It's selected the same way you selected random basically for your element."

Jasmine nodded, then turn and face the screen again. "Dice roll"

"Well I've never actually seen an earth elemental that has chosen the Dranne race. It'll be interesting to see what techniques you actually come up with."

Jasmine nodded then stared at the new words that appeared.

`select a class grave accent

"How do I choose a class if I don't know what to pick from?"

Pre-chuckled. "That's why you have one of us along with you to help make the selections. As your elemental master because I am the elemental master of earth, I get to help you select what class you want to have. Each class teaches it's own skills. These are should I say abilities that you use outside of combat.

Unfortunately as an earth elemental you don't have access to all of the classes available. We are the physically strongest, but we have the least diversity to choose from.

There are only four classes to pick from at the beginning. You can choose either boxer, martial artist, minor, or and this one surprises me a lot, dancer."

Jasmine stared at Pre in surprise. "Dancer?"

Pre-laughed. "Yeah it's a big surprise that we as the earth elemental get to choose the dancer class. I mean all the others have something to do with fighting, but dancing is geared more towards dodging. Because of this we would assume it would be an air elemental class, but apparently it's reserved for those who are the earth type."

"Am I stuck with only one class throughout the entirety of this journey?"

The smile that pre-bestowed on Jasmine could've blinded even lightning. "No you were not" she said clapping her hands enjoy. "That's just what you get to start with. When you master a class it'll either upgrade if you wish, or you may choose another class. If you master all the classes available to your element, then you can actually choose a class that is not actually elementally locked."

Jasmine smiled back at Pre as she pondered on which class to pick. "Well it may sound strange, but I think I'm going to choose the dancer class."

As Jasmine said this text appeared on the screen for them.

Pre-looked at Jasmine in surprise. "I thought you would've chosen one of the other more physical classes before you attempted that one."

Jasmine smiled slightly. "I actually had some talent in dancing before I went to Hogwarts, so I thought it wouldn't be a bad class to start with."

Pre-smiled at her. "That's all the decisions we need to make for now. So shall we finish this up and get you started on your true training?"

Jasmine nodded to her. "How do I do that?"

Pre smiled. "You simply need to state that your choices are set in one way or another."

Nodding to Pre, Jasmine turn toward the screen. "Final decision made."

The screen flashed twice, then new text appeared.

An: and that's the end of this first chapter. At the end of every chapter I will be placing Jasmine's full character sheet. And the character sheets of any who join her party. Although I will only be showing information as it is explained in the story. For example we have seen the race, class, and the attributes. So I will be shoing those stats. However we haven't had spells or techniques explained so we will not see those on anyone's sheet just yet.

We will not be seeing the elementals ever again in the story. That was Jasmine's only contact with them, and from here on out in fellow chapters we will be going back to Hogwarts. We will however see some flashbacks, where some things are explained to Jasmine, but we won't see the elementals themselves ever again. So without further ado that is chapter 1, and I will see you next time.
