A.N. — The lone Duelling Club meeting during Harry's second year happened here. Today's student was one of the more vocal in his belief that Harry was Slytherin's heir. He was just defending his friend, like a good Hufflepuff.
351. Ernie Macmillan
Ernie Macmillan vacillated on Harry Potter.
Ernie believed the Boy Who Lived mythos, but quickly turned on Harry when the snake went after Justin. Then Granger was petrified, and Ernie knew Harry would never condone that. So Ernie made sure to publicly apologize for his presumption.
During the Triwizard Tournament, it sure seemed like Harry was there to steal Cedric's glory. Ernie's faith was shaken, again. It took seeing a battered Harry come back cradling his housemate's corpse to solidify Ernie's support of Harry.
Voldemort was back; Ernie believed Harry. They all needed to be united, past misgivings be damned.
