A.N. — Harry dreamed of Nagini's attack on Arthur Weasley yesterday, leading to today's hospital trip to visit a character I mentioned was upcoming at the end of last month. Anyone get bingo yet on their guess the remaining characters card?

353. Hippocrates Smethwyck

As the head of the "Dangerous" Dai Llewellyn ward at St. Mungo's, Hippocrates Smethwyck had thought he'd seen it all. But magic and its associated catastrophes continued to surprise him. True, the serious bites ward didn't see the variety of afflictions that spell reversal handled, but Hippocrates tended to handle cases that were more immediately life-threatening.

Such was the situation with Arthur Weasley, envenomed by Voldemort's personal snake. Concocting an anti-venom would be neither quick or easy. Hippocrates was glad visitors had arrived to keep his patient distracted from his dire predicament; it let him get to work in peace.
