Taking a crumbling stone fortress and turning it into a castle for the purpose of magical education was exhausting. Teaching students unused to learning in a formal setting wore on her patience. But nothing was as hard on Helga Hufflepuff as being the mediator of the founder's quarrels.
Godric always had to have the last word. Rowena always knew she was right, even when she wasn't. Salazar solved disputes with petty curses that proved challenging to reverse. Helga would rather hug it out than slug it out, but seeing her best friends bickering like their young charges tested her resolve.
