A.N. — Yesterday's character was the heart that kept Hogwarts together through its infancy. Today's woman was the brains that got the idea off the ground to begin with. Smarts often hamper interpersonal skills, however.

362. Rowena Ravenclaw

People came to Rowena for guidance daily. She could dispense facts readily; life skills, Rowena struggled with.

Her daughter was a rebel, a trait she'd inherited from her mother. The very idea of Hogwarts was revolutionary, and Helena had taken that to heart. Reigning her — or the other founders — in was a lost cause. Her fellows thought Rowena aloof and superior, and her students were wary. Rowena wore masks for each audience: the all-knowing creator and the infallible lecturer.

In her scarce downtime, Rowena kept contemplating theorems, her mind unable to truly let her relax under the weight of expectations.
