So.
I was chilling peacefully with some buddies on Discord, when suddenly our fanfic "reporter" came around saying that someone decided to write a "Subaru get NTR'ed" fic.
Of course, wondering what this shitshow was about, I went ahead to check and stumble upon Herion's fic which was, aside from being very poorly written, absolute garbage fucking up the characters, the story, and everything that has been built up until now, by 7 arcs.
However, seeing that people were really sick of that fic (because the guy is actually trying to justify and build a plot around this.) I decided to deal with that in my own way.
So here it is. The revenge fiction of Natsuki Subaru getting NTR'ed.
This will take place after chapter 2 of whatever the fuck that guy wrote. Written in 1 hour.
Here we go.
"…"
"Natsuki-san?" Otto called, looking to the side as his friends seemed to be lost, staring in front of him to something no one could see.
"Hey, Otto." Subaru said as he touched his throat.
"Y-yes?" He answered with a bit of worry.
"Don't you feel like sometimes…Whatever you do, life is just screwing you over?" He said in a low voice…As he understood exactly where he returned by death.
Otto stood there, glancing to Garfiel equally confused, both extremely worried about hearing Subaru speaking like this, in a such a dread tone and down ridden gaze. They were his closest friends and those who knew him the best, so they knew how to recognize when he was hurt or in pain. Both understood their duty.
But as the green merchant was about to speak to try and console his friend, no, his brother…He has been cut by a horrible and frightening noise, something that paralyzed him as his eyes widened in sheer shock.
Something that was akin to Emilia's voice, to her moans…Calling for Roswaal.
Otto's heart beating in such a speed he could barely handle it, he glanced to Garfiel in alarm as he shared the same thoughts…Turning towards Subaru who had his eyes closed in grief…A single tear falling down his cheek.
"What…The…" Garfiel growled with a large scowl forming on his face.
Otto's face bore the same kind of expression as he clenched his fists in furry, turning back to the door in question with a threatening aura clear in his eyes.
Unable to hold his rage any longer, Otto turned around as he stomped the ground with his footsteps, ready to burst down the door and call out this bullshit.
As he approached more and more, he could hear another voice moaning the name of the lord in pleasure.
There wasn't only Emilia…Rem was there, too.
The merchant quickly understood that Subaru was not only betrayed…He was also stabbed multiple times in the back. All of this did nothing but anger Otto even more, more than ready to scream justice for the one he considered his brother.
"Captain!" Garfiel called out, as Subaru walked away from them with a hand on his eyes.
Angered and worried at the same time, as a storm of emotions ran within the two men, both looked at each other as Otto glanced back to the door.
Until they decided that Subaru was more important.
"WHAT?!" Frederica shouted as she held both her hands before her mouth, looking back and forth between her brother, the green merchant…And the Subaru seated down near them, holding his head in despair as his sobs filled the room.
Near him, a little spirit with a regal dress kept hugging him, caressing his hair with slow movements as her rage could be felt by everyone around, the spirit emanating such a killing intent it made the demi siblings extremely uneasy.
"How dare they, I suppose…" She uttered in a low, threatening voice.
"How dare they…Do something like this to Betty's Subaru…?"
"THIS IS FUCKED!" Garfiel ended up yelling, breathing loudly as he wanted nothing more than tear Roswaal apart with his claws.
And maybe a half elf and blue oni as well.
Speaking of Oni…
"Ram-san…" Otto ended up calling, directing towards the pink haired Oni who fell into a dead silence since she heard this story.
Ram was just there, seated and quiet, her gaze down and directed towards the floor as her eyes were hidden behind her hair.
"Hey…" Subaru ended up saying, slowly raising his head towards all the people around him.
All of them looked at him with pity clear in their eyes. They felt outraged, disgusted, shameful, horrified, for the young boy! The boy who did so, so much for all of them. Who fought harder than anyone in this mansion for the sole purpose to keep the people protected. For the sole sake…Of those who just made the biggest act of betrayal they could towards him.
Breaking his heart.
Breaking his trust.
Breaking him.
There was no way they couldn't feel hatred, anger and wrath. There was no way they could contain the fire growing within all of them.
Not when the one they all cherished the most was having this expression on his face.
But…They had hope. He didn't speak since the beginning of this and he finally opened his mouth to talk to them. It was time for him to speak about this, to be able to ease his-
"Can you guys tell me…What did I do wrong…?"
"…"
"…"
"…"
"…"
"…What-"
"What did I do…To cause this?" He muttered with a broken smile and tear filled eyes. "I know I messed up but…If at least…I knew why…"
Everyone looked at him with down jaws, eyes wide and shock clear in their eyes…As they were all paralyzed by the previous words they heard from him. They all obviously needed some time to process what they just heard…Some mere seconds there was.
Beatrice slowly tightened her grip on Subaru's jacket.
Garfiel clenched his fists so hard, he could've nearly shred his own flesh, burying his fingernails inside of his palm.
Frederica held her dress so tightly, she could have nearly teared it apart.
Otto gritted his teeth so hard he could have nearly broke them.
And Ram…Just stood silent.
Those scums….
Roswaal, Rem and Emilia. Not only did they manage to cause the biggest betrayal they could have ever done towards the greatest member of this camp…And the sole reason they were alive.
But they also managed to put the blame on him.
"I'm…Really pathetic aren't I…" He continued his lament, holding his head up as tears rained on the ground…Making everyone flinch.
"Even…Keeping them happy. Even being a satisfactory husband…I couldn't do it." He cried. "after making them suffer so much...After being nothing but a burden…When they both told me they loved me, when they told me they would marry me…I felt…I finally felt like at least, for the least I had done, they accepted me…They saw what I did and gave me merit…That I had changed…!"
He started crying more and more loudly as he his voice became hoarse from the emotions he couldn't contain.
"But…This was nothing but pity!" He burst in tears. "I didn't change at all! I am still the useless, pathetic man I was, that I always been!"
Frederica and Beatrice started to cry as well, an unbearable amount of pain growing in their chests as they wanted nothing more than to bring that boy into a tight hug, reassuring him and tells him they loved him, they saw his potential, that he was far, far more than what he called himself to be!
They wanted to tell him how wrong he was!
So why…Why couldn't they move? Why were they so paralyzed? So…Useless?
All of them were…Except…One.
"I guess…It's because they had enough to pretend, right? It's because they got finally sick of me…Finally disgusted of what I am…" He laughed in a broken, despaired way.
"A useless…Pathet-"
*SLAP*
The echoes of the loud slap ran through the entire room, as everyone watched with tear filled and shock, the pink haired maid who just brought her hand to redden the poor boy's cheek.
"Yes." She growled between gritted teeth. "You are indeed pathetic, Barusu."
Eyes wide to the sudden slap he took, Subaru slowly turned his head back towards the demon towering in front of him.
"To indulge into self-loathing like you do, without facing the situation. To run away from it and cry in a corner. Yes, you are really nothing but pathetic." She growled again, wiping her hand with her dress.
Every single other soul in the room, Subaru aside, shot a hateful glare towards the maid. Even Garfiel wanted to strike her back.
However, as all knew really well Subaru was…They also understood who he was for Ram. How important he was, how dear he was to her.
Subaru Natsuki…Was her closest friend. The one she cherished so much, he had the honor to be the only one she would trust with her entire soul.
She never hid it from anyone. The fact that Subaru was as important to her than her own sister wasn't something foreign anymore…Except for Subaru himself.
But that's precisely why they knew, this was nothing but the beginning of her ways to make things right.
"But I would say that the most irritating thing about you, would be how your brain didn't grow clever within these years. Even though you passed them alongside someone such as myself…I would say I even feel insulted now, or incompetent. Truly, Ram is lacking a lot in her role as a model big sister isn't she?" She continued in a disinterested tone.
Subaru just kept glaring at her, with face still harboring the shocked expression he had since he took her hit in the face.
"What…Do you mean…" He slowly uttered.
"Ah! You didn't even get it yet. Truly, you are nothing but a stupid fool, Barusu." She spat back.
"AND WHY?!" He yelled, startling everyone but the maid. "YOU DON'T NEED TO TELL ME THAT! I KNOW IT!"
Breathing loudly and heavily, Subaru brought a hand to his heart as he tightened his grip against his shirt.
"I know I'm a fool! I know I'm stupid! I know I'm useless!" He cried again. "But at least…At least I thought that you would…That you, out of everyone, would understand! That you would help me…" He continued, his voice taking a tone becoming more and more faint.
On her lap, Beatrice felt like she was breaking apart. Seeing Subaru like this was a sight she couldn't bear. She was his spirit and Subaru was the one she loved the most in this world…His happiness was her duty to protect, her duty to keep in check!
So why couldn't she do anything but watch this? Why couldn't she speak!?
"Don't say that, I suppose!", "Betty loves you, in fact!"
Those were so simple words. So simple to say.
So….Why?
On the side, Otto and Garfiel weren't really better. They never lived any situations like that and to be honest, this one was fairly more unique than anything they ever faced in their life.
This wasn't something they could actively help Subaru with, despite making an oath to always support him no matter what…
They were helpless. Useless.
They couldn't do anything for their friend that was drowning in self loathing for something he wasn't even responsible.
But that…Towards Emilia and Rem…
This was impossible for him to see it, was it?
So they could only stay silent.
As fire and wrath burned their entire soul.
"And that is exactly why you are so irritating to hear." Ram replied, her eyes still fixed on the black-haired boy. "You just confirmed your idiocy again, Barusu."
At this point, Subaru didn't know what he could answer anymore. He didn't get where Ram was going. He didn't get what he was supposed to do or say.
"If you truly believe you are the one to blame." She said as she closed her eyes and opened them slowly. "Then maybe I should slap you again, until your decide to open your eyes and see."
"What…Do you mean…" He whispered to her in a low voice.
"That you are a victim. And the ones that are to blame, are none other than that silver haired half elf, the one I call my sister…And the one I called my lord." She answered as she bent down to delicately put her hands on his shoulders.
"But I…"
"Why don't you see it, Barusu?" She whispered to him in a tone unfamiliar of her…Soft and caring.
"If you were really the one to blame…Why would we all be here, standing alongside you, and not with them?"
Her sentence echoed loudly in Subaru's mind, widening his eyes even more as she slowly came closer to hug his head in her embrace as his eyes were turned towards the rest of the people in the room.
Otto smiling to him with a reassured gaze.
Garfiel sobbing and wiping his tears frantically as he didn't want to appear weak before his captain getting back up.
Frederica smiling as she elegantly wiped her tears away with a finger, her gaze one of relief and support to the boy.
And of course…
The tear filled, butterfly shaped eyes of the little spirit on his lap, smiling to him with and sending him all the warmth she could through her embrace, reminding him that no matter what.
From her and from everyone.
Natsuki Subaru was loved and cherished.
No.
Matter.
What.
"…Ram." He whispered.
"Yes?" She answered.
"Thank you." He whispered as he hugged her back, putting a hand on her back. "But…I don't feel like this is enough."
"You want to get back at them?" She said with a tone mixing her upset and…Eagerness.
"I do." He answered with a determined gaze, Ram pulling back, so he could have a view on all of them.
"I want revenge." He stated, clenching his fists. "I'm sorry if you find it wrong. But…"
"Captain."
"Natsuki-san."
Subaru turned his eyes towards his two brothers.
"Just say the word."
Breathing out loudly one last time, as he changed his tear-filled expression with one of sheer determination…Subaru opened his eyes.
And stood up once more.
Herion.
This is a declaration of war.
