Dance with Somebody Rewrite:

"How thrilled am I for this week's assignment?" Kurt asks rhetorically while walking to Blaine at his locker, "I'm to Between the Sheets to find music." He says leaning against the locker next to Blaine's, "I gotta figure out what song I want to do. I could do So Emotional, which was obviously written for me." Blaine nods, "Or One Moment in Time, which was also obviously written for me."

Kurt looks at Blaine, he just shrugs, "Well, you can't really go wrong."

"I figured I could kill two birds with one stone. I could do one for the assignment this week, and then one for my NYADA audition." Kurt says, Blaine just nods again, "You'll come with me, right?"

"Well, I can't today."

"Okay." Kurt says with a sigh, "Boo."

"Well, just text me when you're done." Blaine says shutting his locker and walking off.

"Will do." Kurt says even though Blaine can't hear him.

Kurt enters Between the Sheets and walks right over to the Whitney section.

"Excuse me? I'm so sorry to bother you, but that hippopotamus head brooch is awesome." A boy says, Kurt looks up and blushes.

"Thanks."

"That whole outfit is amazing." The boy says looking Kurt up and down, "You must get compliments all the time."

"I don't, actually." Kurt says, "Kurt Hummel."

"Chandler Kiehl." Chandler says taking Kurt's offered hand, and shaking it, "I go to North Lima High. I've got an audition next week, and I'm dying to do Rainbow High from Evita, but the guy just said they're sold out, which is a preposterous lie!" Chandler says loudly, glaring at the guy behind the counter.

"What are you auditioning for?"

"Uh, the musical theatre program at NYU."

"That's so funny. I'm auditioning for NYADA. My call-back's in a couple weeks."

"A NYADA call-back? Ooh-la-la. What song are you doing?"

"I'm not sure." Kurt says, "I have to find the perfect Whitney Houston song."

"Oh, my god!" Chandler yells excitedly, "You must do One Moment in Time." He runs around the corner to Kurt, "Whitney's performance at the 89 Grammys was legend, and no one has done that song justice since."

"But then again, there's also All the Man that I Need."

"Oh, my god! That song is amazing. You must do it." Chandler rambles excitedly, "Finally, a love song where it didn't have to hurt to turn out right." Kurt laughs, "Sorry. Am I being really loud? When I get excited, I tend to start yelling."

"No, no. You're just really enthusiastic." Kurt says, "It's refreshing. Infectious, actually."

"Then I should quit while I'm ahead. Nice to meet you, Kurt Hummel." The pair shake hands, "I'm sure you'll nail whatever song you pick."

"Thank you."

"And good luck with your NYADA call-back. Let me know if I can be of any help. We future New Yorkers got to stick together." Chandler says the last part in a mock New York accent, "Can I get your number?"

Kurt falls silent for a few seconds, "Sure."

The new directions cheer as Santana and Brittany finish their song, "Obviously, I like dancing Santana best, but you guys are still cool dancers."

Blaine watches Kurt, who is sitting next to him. Kurt is glued to his phone, smiling brightly.

"And Quinn, you're still dancing in my dreams."

Blaine notices Kurt typing as well as reading. He frowns trying to read what's on the screen, but Kurt has the device close to his chest.

"And you can fly and breathe fire."

Kurt's so interested in his phone that he doesn't notice the rest of the new directions get up and leaving the auditorium.

"Kurt." Blaine says tapping his shoulder.

"What?" Kurt asks, not even looking up at his boyfriend.

"We're going back to the choir room." Blaine says standing up.

"Okay." Kurt says getting up and walking off, his face still in his face. Blaine sighs, following the rest of the new directions.

"Oh, my god. I've been practicing Whitney Houston's version of The Star-Spangled Banner all night, and I still can't sing it." Rachel complains to Kurt, as he dusted his Whitney memorial.

"You're just realizing this now? I'm surprised anyone's attempted it after she nailed it to the wall."

Kurt phone buzzes, "Oh, I know what that is." Rachel teases, "Finn sends me cutesy text messages all the time. Usually they're puns about my boobs, but I still appreciate the effort."

"It's not from Blaine." Kurt says reading the message.

"Th-then who is it?" Rachel says standing and looking at Kurt.

"He's just a guy. I met him at Between the Sheets." Rachel nods, with a smirk, "His name is Chandler. He-he's nice."

"And what did Mr Between the Sheets say then?"

"Uh-nothing." Kurt says, Rachel nods, not looking convinced, "We just joke around. It's sweet."

"Mm-hmm." Rachel looks at Kurt for a few seconds.

"Okay. All right." Rachel excitedly leans closer to Kurt, "Um, 'are you an astronaut? Because your smile is out of this world'."

"Oh. Are you kidding me?" Rachel says snatching Kurt's phone. She reads through the texts and gasps, "Kurt, you have been going at this with him for two days now?"

"It's nothing. It's just fun." Kurt says, "He makes me feel good."

"Blaine is supposed to make you feel good." Rachel says looking Kurt in the eyes.

Kurt's silent for a few seconds, "You said that Finn sends you cute messages every day?"

"Yeah."

"Does he compliment you, constantly trying to get in your pants?"

"Yeah. He's an 18-year-old boy."

Kurt shuts his locker, and leans closer to Rachel, "Have you ever heard of lesbian bed death?"

"No."

"I read about it online. It's when two lesbians date for long enough, they become like sisters."

"Oh."

"And Blaine and I are an old married couple-a fabulous old married couple, like Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward. But I don't think we've had an unscheduled make-out session in, like, a month."

"You schedule make-out sessions?"

Kurt start walking down the hall, Rachel follows, "The point is, I love Blaine a-and Blaine loves me, but he doesn't exactly make me blush with his texts right now. What's the harm of someone making me feel special if it's all innocent?"

Rachel walks in front of Kurt, stopping him in his tracks, "Okay. Would you show Blaine those texts messages?"

Kurt laughs, "Of course not."

"Well, then I guess it's not that innocent." Rachel says before walking off.

"I don't know why I like it, ha, I just do…"

The new directions cheer as Santana starts off her and Rachel's duet, as Blaine watches Kurt on his phone, blushing and smiling brightly.

"I've been waiting for the phone to ring all night, why you make me feel so good…?"

Finn smiles widely while filming Rachel. Blaine smiles, secretly jealousy of Rachel. At least her boyfriend cares.

"I get so emotional, baby, every time I think of you…"

Blaine gets more jealousy when Santana and Rachel run up to their respective partner and sing to them.

"I remember the way that we touched, I wish I didn't like it so much…"

Blaine watches as Kurt shows Sam his phone. Sam frowns, looking at Blaine. When he makes eye contact with Blaine, he quickly looks away.

"Ain't it shocking what love can do? Oh, yeah!"

As the new directions cheer and clap as Rachel and Santana after they finish their song. But Blaine watching the two girls who claim to hate each other being friendly, he's watching Kurt laugh while texting on his phone, a blush spread across his face. Blaine sighs sadly.

Brittany and Santana sit in Lima Bean. Brittany rambling about her newest ideas for the upcoming prom, Santana watching her with love-heart eyes, "So, we should do a dinosaur theme."

"Genuis." Santana says happy to see Brittany so excited, even if the idea was a bit strange.

"We could have life-sized dinosaurs, and meat and berries as food because there wasn't any normal food when the dinosaurs where alive." Santana nods in agreement, "Oh, and the glee club could perform dinosaur songs."

"It's a great idea, Britt, but I don't think there many songs about dinosaurs." Santana says Brittany nods.

"I guess you're right." Brittany says, "Anyway-wait that isn't Blaine."

"Huh?"

"Look, that's not Blaine." Brittany says pointing to other side of the shop, where Kurt is sitting with another guy.

"No, it isn't." Santana says eyeing the back of Kurt's head, "Britt, don't stare, they might notice you." Britt nods facing Santana, who has pulled her phone out and taken a picture.

"What are you doing?" Britt whispers.

"Gather evidence." Santana says quickly standing up and taking a picture.

"I feel bad for Blainey." Britt says stirring her coffee, "He transferred here for Kurt, and Kurt doesn't care about him."

"What do you mean?"

"Blainey always tells me about what Kurt does."

"What does he do?"

"Nothing." Santana frowns, "He's never done anything for Blaine, and now he's at coffee with another guy."

"Huh." Santana says, "We have to show this to Blaine." Brittany nods, "Look." Santana and Brittany watch as Kurt and the guy leave the shop.

"Come on." Brittany says standing up and grabbing her bag. The two cheerios walk out the shop and get into Santana's car to them. Kurt and the guy walk around to the side of the shop, and start talking, "Anything happened yet?" Brittany asks looking up from her phone.

"Not yet." Santana says glaring at the pair.

"Tell me when something happens." Brittany says Santana nods. The guy leans closer to Kurt, "Britt!" Santana says gently snapping Brittany's knee.

"What?"

"I think they're gonna…" Santana trails off as Kurt kisses the guy. Santana quickly takes a bunch of pictures.

"You get a picture?" Brittany asks not taking her eyes off the secret make-out session.

"Yep." Santana says also staring at them. Kurt looks up at the car. Santana and Brittany quickly duck, after a seconds Brittany looks up.

"Drive."

"What?"

"He's not looking drive." Santana quickly pulls out the parking lot, and towards her house.

"We have to tell Blaine."

X-X-X-X-X

"I got the cheese plate." Kurt says entering his room with a plate of cheese, not looking at Blaine, "Our Being Bobby Brown marathon can officially begin."

"Who's Chandler?" Blaine asks looking up at Kurt.

"Why are you going through my phone?"

"I'm not going through your phone. It's just that it keeps buzzing because Chandler won't stop texting you." Blaine before looking back at the phone and reading aloud, "When we go to New York, let's go to the front of the Plaza and re-enact the end of The Way We Were."

"Give me that." Kurt says reaching for his phone Blaine pulls away clutching the phone.

"Can you sing into my voice mail? I want to make your voice my ringtone?"

"Give me my phone."

Blaine stands up and walks around Kurt, "There are literally dozens of texts between the two of you. Do you know many times you've texted me in the past two days? Four. And three of them were about finding peach-coloured shoe polish."

Kurt rolls his eyes, "Why are you getting so upset? This is so innocent-"

"This is cheating, Kurt."

"This is texting." Kurt says angrily, "He is just a guy that I met at the music store. Nothing happened. You used to text Sebastian all the time. You would call him, even."

"But I didn't like him, and all those texts were family-friendly." Blaine says holding the phone up, "You like this guy."

Kurt sighs, sitting on his bed, "I like the way he makes me feel. I mean, when was the last time that you complimented me or told me how special I was?"

"I transferred schools to be with you. I changed my whole life. That doesn't make you feel loved?" Blaine asks and Kurt seems angry at Blaine's point.

"You don't know what it's like being your boyfriend, okay?" Blaine frowns, "You are the alpha gay. Even Rachel wanted to make out with you. I used to get solos every week, but do you know how many times I've had to sit on a stool and watch you perform?"

"Then talk to me. Tell me that you're unhappy, but don't cheat on me."

"I feel like I have taken crazy pills!" Kurt yells standing up, "I didn't cheat on you." he walks over to Blaine and aggressively snatches his phone back, "I'm really sorry if this made you upset, but… it's okay." Kurt stutters over the last two words.

Blaine stands there in silence for a few seconds, tears in his eyes, "It's not right. You cheated, and you can't even admit it. I-I have to go." He leaves, and Kurt rolls his eyes before getting up and closing his bedroom door.

X-X-X-X-X

"Okay, does anyone have a Whitney song for us today?" Mr Schue asks the glee club.

Blaine raises his hand, "I do."

"Great, on you go Blaine." Mr Schue says sitting down.

Blaine stands up and walking to the centre of the room, "This song is for anyone that's ever been cheated on."

"This is insane." Kurt says, "I didn't cheat on you."

"Oh, Blaine you found out." Brittany says frowning.

"Friday night, you and your boys went out to eat, then they hung out, but you came home around 3…"

The new directions all sit in shock, some watching Blaine, others (Blaine's friends) glaring at Kurt.

"It's not right, but it's okay. I'm gonna make it anyway…"

Santana and Brittany start joining in on the chorus, both girls glaring at Kurt.

"It's not right! It's not right, but it's okay. It's okay…"

More of Blaine's friends join in with Santana and Brittany all glaring at Kurt. But Kurt's friends frown in disgust at Blaine. While Mr Schue sits in the middle of everything, with the most confused look plastered on his face.

"It's not right, but it's okay, baby, I can pay my own rent, pay my livelihood, take care of my business. Oh, oh, whoa…"

"Whoo!" Brittany cheers when the song finishes. Blaine glares at Kurt before leaving.

Once Blaine has left Santana stands up, "Well, if Blaine hasn't already broken up with you, what I'm about to show him will make him drop you like your hot."

"What do you mean?"

"Come on, Britt." Santana says and Brittany standing up, "You and that guy at Lima Bean."

"You-you-what are you talking about?"

"Side of Lima Bean last night." Santana says, Kurt goes to talk, but Santana cuts him off, "Blaine deserves someone better, and let's be honest, he could date Puck and being getting on better."

"You have no evidence."

Santana laughs, "Oh, but I do." She and Brittany leave walking down the hall, "Do you know where Blaine goes when he's upset?"

"The boys locker room." Brittany says, "I was looking for Lord Tubbington and found him in there."

"Okay, let's go."

Santana and Brittany enter the locker room, "Hey, what the hell are you doing in here?!" a guy yells when the couple enter.

"I'm gay." Santana says before dragging Brittany further in to find Blaine.

"Blainey!" Brittany yells when she sees Blaine, running over and hugging him. Santana glares at everyone in the room and they all quickly pack up and leave.

"Why are you here?" Blaine asks the pair, but mainly Santana.

"Look, Kurt's cheating on you."

"No shit."

"No, like we saw him kiss another guy." Santana says holding the phone up.

Blaine sighs, "That doesn't even surprise me."

"And… I know you don't have many friends in glee or at the school, and Kurt's gonna twist the story to make you look like the bad guy, because that's what he does, so we want to be your friend, well you and Brittany are already friends so really I saying I want to be your friend."

Blaine smiles, "I'd like to be your friend too."

"Now hug."

"Huh?" Blaine and Santana ask in unison.

"To officially become friends, you have hug. It's the law."

Blaine frowns, "Just go with it." Santana whispers hugging Blaine.

"Yay!" Brittany cheers excitedly.

"Now, let's go get some ice cream." Santana says, "I'm buying."

X-X-X-X-X

"Share my life, take me for what I am…"

Blaine watches uncomfortably as Kurt sings. Santana glares at Kurt, while Brittany whispers about not being able to hear what Kurt's singing because she used headphones for the first time the night before.

"If I don't have you, ooh, if I don't have you, oh, oh…"

The new directions clap all looking touched. Sam looks at Santana, she rolls her eyes, Sam nods, "Blaine, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been texting Chandler and I still love you."

"Still love him?" Santana mumbles frowning.

"What do you mean still love?" Blaine asks crossing his arms in front of his chest.

"I still love you." Kurt says, "Even though you were being dramatic."

Brittany's eyebrows shoot up in shock, "Dramatic?" Santana asks angrily, "No me gusta!" She goes to stand up, but Blaine stops her.

"I wasn't being dramatic." Blaine says calmly, "You cheated, and you won't admit it. I knew things weren't going to work out when you got your NYADA letter. You only care about yourself, and I'm just getting in the way of your dreams. So, we're over-"

"I-no."

"Yes. We're over." Blaine says, "It's for the better. You can go to New York and go to NYADA, and I can do what I really want to do."

"And what's that?" Kurt asks angrily.

"I don't want to go to New York, I don't want to be on Broadway. I want to go to LA, to go a good college, and become a singer."

Kurt laughs, "You get anywhere without me."

This time Blaine laughs, "No, I will. I'll get further without you."

The rest of the choir room sit in a shocked silence, "Well, I couldn't agree more." Santana says with a smile, "And on that note, myself, Britt and Blaine are leaving for some celebratory coffee, and certain members are welcome to join us." She gets up grabs her and Brittany's bags, and the three leave the choir room.

"What an asshole." Finn says angrily, "He can't say that!"

"He didn't say anything wrong." Sam says, "Blaine just stated the obvious."

"So, you're on his side?" Rachel asks in shock.

"Yes." Sam says picking up his things, "I'm going to join them."

Mike stands up abruptly, "Same. You all treat Blaine like Kurt's boyfriend and not… Blaine. I bet none of you can tell me what his middle name is." The room falls silent, "Kurt, do you know Blaine's middle name?" Kurt doesn't say anything, he just looks at the floor, "Come on, Sam. And if any of you care you can come too." No one moves, so the pair leave.

"Guys, wait up!" Sam yells as he and Mike run to catch up with the trio.

"Thank you, guys." Blaine says when the pair catch up, "It means a lot."

"It's nothing. We'd rather go with you guys than be stuck in there with them." Mike says.

The small group walk off to Lima Bean where it all began. The rest of the club may not care, but this group care. As they walk, they laugh and joke, just having a good time. Because really that what it's about. It's not about how many solos you get, or how many solos you didn't get. It's about the friends you make, and the ones that show their true colours.
