Hello there people of the internet. Allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Susanna Patria Haltmann. But you can just call me Susie. I suspect a few fans of Kirby series video games might be familiar with me. But that's besides the point. The author of this story came to me and hired me to help him with another new project of his. Especially since real life complications tend to make things even harder for him to focus.
I even have the memo he sent me right here. It says, and I quote: "If you don't stop me from procrastinating, I'm going to go insane."
...Blunt. So, I'm here to help him by enacting a simple two step plan. Step 1 is to introduce this new AU series of his. Step two is collecting data from your feedback. Now, let's see what this AU is about exactly.
Episode 1: Power: On.
The year 217X had a lot to offer the world. From advancements in medical care and transportation, to sightings of life on planets in far off galaxies. But to the heads of the engineering company: ECHO, Lynn and Rita Loud, it was the year they would have their biggest dream become a reality. From the moment they had decided to pursue their new 'project', they kept working tirelessly. Pushing every ounce of knowledge and resources they had gathered over the years to their limits.
Now, both of them worked together in a cluttered, dark, gray lab. Surrounded by large amounts of equipment and machinery. Including eleven large, gray pods with fogged up glass lids. Various wires connected them to even more machinery. Each one of them lined up neatly against the wall and numbered as such. Rita, a middle aged woman with blonde hair and wearing a white lab coat with a pink undershirt, was at a computer typing in long amounts of code.
Her husband, Lynn, who had brown hair and wore a similar outfit but with a green undershirt, looked down at a tablet in his hands and inspected a 3D image of what seemed to be a humanoid shape. Various lines of data and information scrolling down the right side of the screen next to it. He nodded and smiled as he swiped across the screen to see a different humanoid shape. As he looked over the data, his wife was practically glued to the screen of her computer during their work.
"Today is the day, Lynn. After almost a year of hard work and a small fortune, they're all nearly finished!" Rita Loud celebrated as she continued typing more code. "Be honest, did you ever expect to be working on androids like this when you got your doctorate?" She asked. Lynn looked up from his tablet with a smile on his face and shook his head.
"Never in my ding-dang life, honey! I mean, we've made some pretty complex machines, inventions, and all sorts of robots. But this? This is on a whole other level." Lynn proclaimed while gesturing to the tablet. He then turned around to face the pods. His face slowly decayed from one of excitement to one of worry. "Hmm. Rita, do you ever think that making eleven might be over doing it?" He asked. Rita stopped typing and looked at her husband. Her gaze shifted to the pods and she let out a sigh.
"Maybe a little. I don't regret the decision though. Especially with what they're actually meant to be. Especially to us." She answered. Lynn looked down and knew exactly what card she was playing. The memory of that medical examination still hurt to look back on. He started to walk over to the pods while he reflected back on the words exchanged between him, his wife, and the doctor that broke the news.
"I've never seen you look any more miserable than when he said that you could never become pregnant. That we couldn't be parents." He lamented as he approached the pod in the very center of the arrangement: Pod number six. He peered into the glass and took a closer look at what was inside. At first glance it could easily be written off as a young, sleeping, pre-teen boy. However, his body from the neck down was made of orange metal, their hair was an ivory white in color. In place of normal ears were disc like surfaces that were perfectly circular in shape and the same color as his body. And his feet didn't even have toes. They looked more like boots that were just part of his body.
On top of the physical features, there were also a handful of wires and cables connecting to them through their back and neck. "You were sulking around the house for weeks, barely doing anything until you had the idea to have children in a different way. I don't remember you ever being so enthusiastic about anything when you started sketching that first blueprint." Lynn looked at the boy in the chamber and smiled as he felt a warm feeling swell up in his heart. "You're right, Rita. These aren't just some piles of metal and wires. They are our children." He then walked back over to his wife who smiled and continued to press the buttons on her keyboard. After a little more rapid typing, Rita hit the enter button one last time.
"Well, it's finally done. They've all been set up with knowledge of us, each other, and randomly generated personalities. They'll be able to grow mentally and emotionally like any human child can." She proclaimed. "Now, all that's left is to turn them on and bring them into the world." Rita grabbed the computer's mouse and clicked on a few different buttons and tabs until the screen gave a visual of all eleven chambers. Below the image was a one word question of 'ACTIVATE?' followed by a yes or no prompt. "Ready?" Rita asked. Lynn grabbed both his wife's hand and the mouse of the computer as both proceeded to click on the 'yes' button. An electric hum echoed through the lab and the screen highlighted the pod on the far left.
In the lab itself, a small hiss was heard as pod one began to open up. Lynn and Rita walked over to it as the glass door opened up. Some gray mist flowed out of the chamber to reveal a female android similar to the boy from pod six. Though she had a number of differences. One such difference was her size, as she was almost as tall as Lynn and Rita. She also had a different color palate with a light blue body and short golden blonde hair. The android stood idle in the pod as her 'eyes' slowly opened. She suddenly spoke in a voice that showed no sign of any emotion.
"Lori Loud: Online." The android, now known as Lori, blinked a few times before shaking her head. They started to look around the room, getting a sense of their surroundings. Slowly, they reached their hands out to the edges of the pod and slowly started to climb out of it. However, Lori stopped halfway through as she felt the tug of the wires from behind her. She gave out a small yelp and spoke again, this time in a more human manner. "Oh come on!" She groaned as she tried to reach behind her and disconnect herself. She managed to unplug a cable on her neck, but another one on her back got stuck and refused to disconnect.
As Lori struggled to remove it, Lynn walked over to help her. "Don't worry, sweetie. I got you." He stated as he reached behind Lori and unplugged the large cord from her back and helped Lori step out of the pod. Now fully out of the container, Lori stretched her mechanical joints and got a good look at Lynn, as she gazed at them, her databanks instantly found a name that matched with the face in front of her.
"Thank you, Dad." She replied. Upon hearing that last word, Lynn froze up. The scientist just stared blankly at his creation for a moment. Slowly, his lips curved up into a smile and he began to shed a tear of joy. Eventually, his emotions were too much for him to take as he wrapped Lori in a big hug. Despite being surprised, Lori returned the gesture as if it were second nature. "Dad, what's wrong?" She questioned.
Lynn sniffled a little bit and rubbed some of the tears out of his eyes with the sleeve of his lab coat. "Nothing sweetie. I'm just so happy to hear you call me that." He cried. Rita smiled seeing her husband get emotional over with the first of their children. She approached the two of them, hoping to join in on the moment. Unaware that the next pod was already opening.
"Well Lori, how do you feel?" She asked. Lori ended the hug with Lynn and thought to herself for a moment.
"I'm alright, Mom. I literally don't detect anything wrong with my systems." The teenage android informed as she scanned herself both inside and out. Rita then hugged Lori just like Lynn did, happy she could officially call herself a mother. However, Lori felt there was something off and ended the embrace. "Wait, where is everyone else? Don't I have nine sisters and a brother too?" She questioned.
"Of course. The system was just set to wake you up one at a time." Rita explained. "In fact, I think the others are going to be up and about pretty soon."
"AHHH!" A shrill scream followed by a loud 'clang' sound caught everyone's attention. Everyone turned to see another android girl had stepped out of the second capsule and fell face first onto the floor. Her face was obscured by the platinum blonde hair that reached down to her shoulders. The metal coating of her body was a seafoam green in color. Concerned and confused, everyone rushed to her aid as Rita and Lynn helped pull them back to her feet.
"Leni, are you okay?" Lynn asked in concern for his second daughter. Leni rubbed her head and turned to look at him. As she opened her eyes, they seemed to flicker a few different colors before settling back to normal.
"I'm okay. But, like, my head feels, like, all buzzy." She explained. Both scientists looked at each other nervously upon hearing the weird speech pattern Leni used in her response. Before they could say anything though, Leni gasped upon seeing Lori in front of her. "O. M. Gosh! You must be my sister!" She squealed as she ran towards Lori and wrapped her in a hug. "I'm, like, so glad to meet you. I love the color they painted your body. It looks so great on you." She complimented. Lynn, leaned towards his wife and began whispering to her.
"I think there might be a slight bug in Leni's code." He theorized. Rita grumbled and nodded.
"Yeah, I wonder why I didn't catch that before." Rita stroked her chin as she saw their first two creations making small talk and quickly bonding. "We should probably look into this later. Otherwise she might get herself hurt." She suggested which her husband agreed to with a nod of his head. A few beeping sounds diverted the couple's attention as another one of the capsules began to open and revealed a third android. Inside, they had a purple body and dark brown hair in a pixie cut.
"Luna Loud: Online." She stated as she climbed out of the capsule. Lynn walked over to her, rubbing his arms nervously. "Uh, you alright there, Pops?" Luna asked in confusion.
"Of course, Luna. I'm just checking to make sure you're alright." Her father explained.
"Why wouldn't I be?"
"Well, your sister…"
"AHH!" Leni let out a shriek of horror that echoed throughout the whole room. "Guys. I can't feel my toes." She cried out in terror. Her terrified exclamation was met with looks of concern from her parents and a face palm from Lori.
"Leni, we literally weren't designed with toes." She corrected. Luna blinked in astonishment.
"Oh, now I see why you were nervous." She explained as she watched Leni curiously examine her feet. "What about the rest of my sibs? They up yet?" Luna asked. Lynn tapped his chin and looked at the remaining pods.
"Not yet, Luna. The next one that should be coming out of those should be Luan." As if on cue, the next chamber began to open. Lynn quickly walked over to it to greet the fourth android as they awoke. They were shorter than the others with a bright yellow body. Her hair was a light brown that was tied up in a pony tail by a pink ring. "Rise and shine, sweetie!" The scientist greeted cheerfully. Luan didn't say anything as she took a look around her surroundings and hoisted herself out of the pod. Her eyes settled on Lynn and she calmly smiled before speaking in a monotone voice.
"Greetings. I am designated as Luan Loud. How may I help you today, sir?" The question combined with the lack of emotion in Luan's voice caught everyone off guard.
"You… You don't know who I am?" Luan stiffly shook her head, the blank smile never leaving her synthetic face.
"Negative." She confirmed. Rita overheard the conversation and walked over, clearly distressed over how Luan apparently had no knowledge of them.
"Negative? Lynn, you don't think her data got completely corrupted during the activation somehow, do you?" She pondered nervously. Everyone else in the room started to become worried as they turned their attention to Luan, who was showing no change in her behavior. Lynn started pacing around the room frantically.
"It shouldn't have. But how could this have happened? Did we accidentally delete something by mistake?" Lynn gasped in horror as a thought occurred to him. "Did I remove something that was important thinking it was a bug? Oh no, what have I done!" He cried out in terror.
"Heh heh heh." The room became silent save for the sound of chuckling coming from Luan. Her stoic demeanor faltering as she began to laugh. At first it was small giggling, but eventually it grew into a large fit of hysterics. "Man, you should have seen the look on your faces. They were priceless!" Luan proclaimed with genuine emotion now present in her voice. Seeing his daughter laughing like that slowly started to cheer Lynn up as he hugged her in relief.
"Oh, thank goodness. You were just playing a trick on us."
"Of course I was. I'd always recognize my own flesh and blood. Well, yours anyway. Get it?" Luan quipped, sparking even more laughter from her father and herself. However, this joy wasn't completely shared amongst the other women in the room. Luna walked over to Luan and flicked her in the side of the head. "Ow. What was that for?"
"Dude, that wasn't cool. You had us all freaking out!" Luna protested. Rita nodded and folded her arms, shooting Luan a disapproving glance.
"She's right, young lady. We're all going to have to have a talk about this later." The matriarch scolded. Luan looked down and let out a sigh.
"Alright, alright. I won't metal with your emotions anymore, Mom." She quipped. Everyone couldn't help but groan over the bad pun, where as Lynn laughed along with his daughter. "See? Dad has a sense of humor." She praised. Suddenly, very loud banging began to fill the lab. Everyone looked around to see where the noise was coming from. The thunderous clangs grew more intense and frequent as they continued. Then, in an unexpected turn of events, it was coupled by the sound of cracking glass.
"Someone get me out of here!" A young voice called out. Turning around, Lynn spotted source of the noise in the form of a violently shaking fifth capsule. His eyes widened as he put two and two together.
"Oh boy. The ding dang door got stuck on L.J.!" He panicked as he ran over to the capsule. "Okay, junior. Just relax. I'll get you out of there. I just need a few minutes to get my tools."
"Forget that, Dad! Stand clear, I'm breaking this thing!" The voice shouted. A red fist shot up and hit the glass of the pod again, causing it to crack even more. Lynn jumped back in fright as the fifth android kept punching the glass until it ultimately shattered. With the container broken, the next child was free to climb out. It was another android girl like the previous four, but with a red body and dark brown hair in a pony tail. She laughed as she jumped out of the pod with triumphant laughter. "Aw yeah, score one for Lynn Loud Jr.!" She cheered.
"Junior, you know I'm happy to see you awake and excited. But these things cost a lot of money." Lynn groaned. Despite his plea, Lynn Jr. simply blew a raspberry in response and shrugged her father off.
"Dad, if my databanks are anything to go off of, you and mom are billionaires. You have a skyscraper right here in Royal Woods for crying out loud. Why would you care about a little bit of broken glass?" She whined. The scientist looked both ways nervously as he struggled to think of a good answer.
"Well, it's a matter of principle. And, uh, a sign of respect for other's property." Lynn reasoned as he watched the fifth daughter walked over to the rest of the family. From the corner of his eye, he saw the tiny shards of glass glitter across the floor. He then sighed as he started walking towards a door at the other end of the room. "Don't worry, I'll clean this up. Just need to find a broom." Leni seemed confused over her father's statement.
"Wait, don't you have one of those cute little vacuum bots to do that for you?" She questioned.
"Well we did. But most of them are in for repairs because someone let it just eat a whole sandwich. Last time we let Flip take a free tour." Rita grumbled in response.
"I have to respect his tenacity though." Lynn chimed in as he came back with a broom and dustpan to sweep up the glass. "I told him those ding dang batteries were prototypes. Yet he shoved them all down his pants anyway."
"Thankfully, he signed that waiver before hand." As Rita mused on the incident, the sixth pod began to open and reveal the next android. Unlike the previous ones, this one had some very unique designs. Their design was more akin to that of a boy than a girl and their hair was a bright white in color. Their body from the neck down was various hues of orange. Slowly, their eyes opened and they took in their surroundings. Before he could say his first words, Luan interjected with a pun.
"Well, about time we meet our little Bro-bot!" She laughed as everyone gave her unamused looks. Her giggling slowed down after a bit as she rubbed the back of her head. "Heh heh. *ahem* Sorry, I know that was low hanging fruit but I couldn't help myself." She confessed shamefully. The robot boy in the pod slowly climbed out of the container. Though, he stumbled a bit and nearly lost his balance. Thankfully, his mother figure was able to catch him.
"Thank you."
"You're very welcome, Lincoln." Rita assured, calling the android by his name. Suddenly, Lincoln took another glance at all of his sisters that had activated so far. His hard drive combing all the data he had in hopes of finding an answer to a question that brought itself to his attention.
"Mom, Dad, why is it that I'm the only boy android you built?" He asked. The question sparked the same curiosity in his sisters as well. Lynn and Rita looked at each other for a moment and couldn't help but chuckle. Lincoln tilted his head with a slight mechanical whir, puzzled by his parents' reaction. His father slowed his laughter a bit and put a hand on his son's metallic shoulder.
"Well, it's funny story kiddo. See, after we decided on how many kids we wanted to have, we used a random number generator to decide whether you all would be boys or girls." He started to explain as Lincoln's eyes widened a bit. "Against all odds, you were the only one that got 'male'." Stopped laughing as her husband finished the story.
"That's also why we named you Lincoln. Like the idea of finding a lucky penny." She mused. Lincoln pondered it all and smiled.
"Wow, I didn't think the reason would be anything like that." He mused. Meanwhile, Lori leaned towards the other androids and raised a hand to cover her mouth.
"I literally would have asked about the white hair." She stated.
"Chill out, sis. I think it makes him look cool." Luna countered quietly. Then the tell tale sound of a seventh pod opening was heard throughout the lab. The door slid open to reveal an android girl that was a bit shorter than Lincoln. Her metal body was a deep oil black in color. Her hair, sharing the same color as her body, was styled to completely cover her eyes with her bangs. Yet, the most striking of her design was the plastic skin of her face. Being much paler than her siblings or the scientists in the room. She didn't move a cybernetic muscle as she monotonously spoke.
"Lucy Loud: Online." She calmly stepped out of the capsule and stood motionlessly. Slowly, she started to look at her hands in silence. The combination of her eyes being obscured by hair and her emotionless facial expression made it difficult to pin down what she was thinking. Eventually, she slowly looked back up and walked towards her family, who were exchanging glances amongst one another.
"Lucy? Sweetheart? Are you feeling alright?" Lucy looked at her father, who seemed very concerned about her mental wellbeing. Lucy didn't respond right away, still carrying that blank expression that made nearly everyone in the lab feel uneasy. The sole exception being Lynn Jr., who walked over to her newly activated sister.
"Lucy, right? Your systems running alright? Hellooo?" Lynn Jr. grabbed a lock of Lucy's hair and pulled it aside to reveal one of their eyes. "Whoa!" Lynn Jr. exclaimed in awe as she saw the blank gray, almost silver color of the iris. A few of the other Louds managed to see the unique physical feature as well and let out small gasps of wonder. Lucy lightly scowled and swatted her older sibling unit's hand away and returned her hair to its prior state.
"Please don't do that again." Lucy sighed. "I'm sorry I didn't say anything, I was just thinking and taking everything around me in I'm fine." She reassured. Lincoln rubbed the top of his head and ran his metal fingers through his white hair.
"Are your sure, Lucy? You seem kind of…"
"I said I'm fine." Lucy repeated insistently, with a bit of aggression buried underneath her flat tone. Lincoln immediately silenced himself and backed off. The other robots followed suit, frightened by her hostility. Lucy then looked down at the floor with an expression of regret. "I'm sorry. I-I didn't mean to upset you." She apologized once more. Rita looked at her creation and felt an odd sensation in her chest. Out of a mix of both instinct and intuition, she approached Lucy and got down on one knee in front of her.
"Lucy, look at me." Rita requested calmly. Lucy hesitantly complied and looked at her mother through the black locks of hair covering her eyes. All the while, two more capsules started to open behind them. "I can tell that you're concerned about something. I don't know what it is exactly. But I do know this: We all love and care about you very much." She stated simply. Lucy didn't know what to say as Rita pulled her daughter into a hug. "If you ever want someone to talk to, you can always come to us." Her mother's comforting words were able to get Lucy to return the hug with her own.
"Thank you."
"Hey, what are we? Scrap metal?" A young and shrill voice echoed slightly out of view. Everyone turned their heads to see two more androids looking at Rita and Lucy. They were even shorter than Lucy and their faces were nearly identical, but they had a few differences that set them. One of them had a dark blue body and blonde hair tied in a pair of pigtails. The body of the other was a bright pink in color. Her hair was the bright shade of blonde as the android beside her, but hers was longer and stretched past her shoulders.
"Yeah, what about us? Where are our hugs?" The blue bodied android questioned as she put her hands on her hips. Rita stopped hugging Lucy and approached them, along with Lynn, who already had his arms stretched out to his sides.
"Right here, Lana. Bring it in, for your old man." As the parents embraced the girls and Lucy walked over to her siblings, Leni scratched her head in confusion. Her eyes flickered different colors for a brief moment as she gazed at the affectionate display between her parents and her newly activated younger sisters.
"Guys, I think my eyes are glitching. I see, like, double." She stated as her siblings turned to her with expressions disbelief. Leni caught onto this, but only grew more confused as a result. "What?" Lincoln tilted his head to the side as he spoke.
"Leni, you know that two of our sisters were built as twins. Right?" he asked.
"Yeah, but I don't see Lola anywhere. Just two Lanas with different colors." She explained. Her words actually caught the attention of the pink android, who immediately ended the hug with the two scientists.
"Hold on a second. Is she saying she thinks I'm just some 'Pink Lana'?" She asked incredulously while walking towards Leni. "I am Lola Loud! Your sister, who is far more than just someone's carbon copy!" They shouted as they revealed their name and jabbed a finger into Leni's nose. Though Lola's anger was quickly suspended as they turned back to Lana and their parents. "No offense, Lana."
"None taken." Her twin responded calmly as she stepped away from her parents and joined up with their other siblings. All the while Leni was curiously scanning a scowling Lola. "So has Leni been doing this kind of stuff since she was first turned on?" Lana asked. Lori looked down at Lana and answered by silently nodding. "Yikes. I hope Mom and Dad can fix her." The blue twin stated. Suddenly, Leni's eyes flickered again and her face lit up in surprise.
"Oh! Sorry, Lola. You and Lana really do look alike." Leni apologized. Lola let out a sigh and walked past her in annoyance. As Lola joined her sisters and brother, Lynn and Rita turned back towards the remaining chambers. With another one beginning to open.
"Well, that's nine down. And two more to go." Lynn stated. The second to last chamber hissed with steam as the door opened to reveal another android. She was incredibly short, even shorter than the twins who came before her. Their body was a dark green in color and they had messy dark brown hair atop their head. She also had a unique addition to her design in the form of eyeglasses that were black in color and round in shape. Though they were more so an aesthetic piece. The android open their eyes and glanced around.
"Lisa Loud: Online." She stated with a bit of a lisp in her speech. She turned her attention to Lynn and Rita and kept a straight face as they stepped out of their pod and walked up to them. "Mother. Father. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance." She greeted in a calm and stoic manner. Her parents were surprised with her manner of introducing herself and could only stare as Lisa leaned to the side and looked behind her parents to see her equally surprised sisters and brother. "Ah, it appears nine of my ten sibling units have already been activated before me. My name is Lisa. But you probably were given prior knowledge of that before even powering on." Lisa retorted with a grin. Lynn and Rita looked at each other in confusion over Lisa's behavior.
"Rita, do you think she's messing with us like Luan was?"
"I don't know. It doesn't seem like a prank." Rita reasoned.
"You're correct, mother. My behavior is the result of your personality generator." Lisa answered. "By chance, I was given a personality that could be described as that of an intellectual. Hence my extensive vocabulary use and an innate thirst for knowledge." She explained. Upon the conclusion of her lecture, Lynn slid his hands under Lisa's arms and lifted her off the ground.
"That's amazing, sweetie. Who knows, honey? She might even become as smart as us some day. Maybe even smarter." He celebrated as he looked over at Rita, who smiled happily as she realized Lisa's potential. Despite this, Lisa didn't really provide much of a reaction to her father's enthusiasm.
"Could you please lower me down to ground level once again? The height makes me feel a little uncomfortable." Upon Lisa's request, Lynn put her back down and let them join the rest of their family. As she did, Lana tilted her head to the side in bewilderment.
"So, you're basically some kind of super genius?" She asked.
"Not at this very moment. Though I do wish to reach those kinds of intellectual heights eventually." Lisa corrected. Lori couldn't help but roll her eyes upon hearing Lisa's ambition.
"Do us a favor and try not to literally rub your trivia in our faces and make us feel stupid."
"I make no such promises." Just then, the final of the eleven pods began to open. Lynn and Rita walked over to it to welcome their final child into the world. The couple huddled around it in as the door opened to reveal the last of the robots. For a moment, there was no sound following the chamber door opening. Then, there was a small amount of childish giggling. Rita bent down and picked up what was in the pod. Cradling it gently in her arms, she and her husband walked back over to the rest of their mechanical children.
"Kids… Say hello to your baby sister, Lily." Rita then showed them all the robotic infant in her hands. Lily was definitely the smallest and youngest looking of them all. They didn't have a lot of hair on their head, but the small tuft they did have was a light blonde. Their body was painted in multiple light shades of purple, mostly lavender. Lily looked up at her parents with a happy and innocent smile for a few seconds. But then she noticed the rest of her family. She gazed at them curiously, unsure of what to make of them. But then, her irises briefly flashed a bright green and she let out a giggle.
"Hee hee. Haaaa." Lily laughed in delight as she waved one of her arms. Her adorable little greeting instantly caused her family to let out a collection of 'Awww's as they fawned over her. With the only exceptions being Lucy and Lisa, who merely looked on quietly as everyone else gushed over Lily.
"She's literally adorable!"
"Yeah, I'm getting cuteness overload. Get it?"
"Mom, Dad, can I hold her?"
"Hey, I want to hold her first!"
"She's almost as cute as me… Almost." Suddenly, Lily reached out both arms and began opening and closing her palms repeatedly. She made a few small grunts as she reached out for something. Following the direction Lily's hands were pointing towards, everyone's eyes fell upon Lincoln. Curious, Lincoln approached the mechanical child slowly.
"Hi Lily. I'm your big brother…" He cooed softly. Then, Lily reached out one hand and gently pressed her palm against his nose. She giggled some more, causing everyone to laugh a little with her. "I guess she really likes me." Lincoln chuckled. Lynn and Rita couldn't help but get a little misty-eyed over everything. Lynn wiped away a tear before letting out one more chuckle.
"Heh, just a few minutes ago Rita, we were two geniuses sitting in a lab. But now…" He paused and looked at his wife and children one more time as his lips quivered. All of a sudden, he stretched out his arms and wrapped them all in one large hug. "I love you all so much!" He cheered before breaking down into a large hug. The androids all returned the gesture as well. After a good minute of simply embracing one another, Rita let out a laugh.
"Come on… Let's go home." She sighed happily as she carried Lily in her arms and the whole family walked out of the lab together. Ready to greet whatever life sent their way next.
Ah. So technological and advanced. No wonder he wanted my help specifically. Though the design of these androids seems familiar. Perhaps they had some inspiration from Mega Man and Mega Man X's reploids in terms of physical design.
Anyways, now that you are acquainted with this series' general premise thanks to this first chapter. Here is step two: Reviewing the story and providing feedback. You know, what you think of the AU so far, if you would prefer it updated sooner or later compared to the author's other works. That kind of information.
Well, I suppose that concludes my business here. Have a nice day. Buh-bye...
