Surprisingly (or not - they had been through this many times before with the house's other inhabitants), the ghosts of Woodstone Manor figured out what was going on with Samantha before she and Jay even caught on. But even then, it took them some time to realize. "Something's wrong with Sam," a worried Pete observed, narrowing his eyes at the pale Living.

"I'm too sick for this right now. Can you maybe not now?" Sam tried.

"Tell Jay to check for a fever." Pete refused to back down, wanting her to get checked out.

"It's probably just the flu," Trevor told him, although he too was worried.

"Just leave her alone," Hetty chided, even as she also glanced over at Sam to check on her.

Sam paled even further and bolted towards the bedroom, Jay and the ghosts following after her. "Tell Jay to check for a fever!" a frantic Pete repeated.

"I don't have a fever!" Sam snapped at him after she vomited twice.

Jay placed a hand on her forehead to double check and confirmed it for what he assumed to be very worried ghosts. "She's fine!" he called out to them.

The ghosts all sighed in relief. "But if she doesn't have a fever, why's she throwing up?" Alberta pondered.

"That's concerning." Sasappis wished there was some way they could help, and he hated that they couldn't do anything. He was thrilled Jay was around and could be there for Samantha, however. That eased his worries quite a bit.

"You want to go back to bed? Do you need medicine? I'll make a run to the pharmacy and grab anything you need. Maybe you should go to the doctor, Sam," fretted Jay as he helped her up off the floor and back to their bedroom.

"I'll be fine, Jay. Don't worry." Sam patted his shoulders and flashed him a smile that didn't quite reach her face. She wanted to try to fake it till she made it, even if it killed her. She laid down in bed with a groan.

"I'll grab you some ginger ale from the kitchen." Jay kissed her forehead and reluctantly made his way to the kitchen.

The ghosts continued to worry about Sam and crowded around her. "Thorfinn is worried!"

"We all are," Sasappis told him.

"Guys, not that I don't appreciate how worried you are but I'd like to take a nap and sleep this off. Go watch TV," Sam suggested, glaring at all of them.

"That does sound like a fun activity," Thorfinn agreed.

They all tromped out of the room, thankful the TV was still on and they didn't have to bother Sam (or Jay) to deal with it.

When Sam still hadn't recovered a few days later, the ghosts' - and Jay's - worry only increased. "We really should call a doctor," he told his wife.

Sam was beginning to agree with him, as much as she hated it. "Maybe hold off until tomorrow? Maybe this stomach bug will go away and everything will work itself out."

"She's stalling," Alberta deduced.

"Of course she is," Hetty responded before something occurred to her and she gasped.

"What is it?" Sasappis asked her.

"I know what is wrong with Samantha! She's with child!" Hetty gasped again, this time rather dramatically.

Alberta squealed, and started jumping up and down, Hetty joining her just seconds later. "A baby!" Sasappis yelled happily.

The blood drained from Sam's face. Jay looked at her and correctly guessed the ghosts had said something. "What'd they say?"

"Nothing, because they're wrong! There's no possible way they're right."

"I know when a woman is with child. Go to the doctor - that is what you do now, correct? - and confirm this wonderful news," Hetty urged.

"What are they wrong about?" A confused Jay could only stare at her, unsure what she was even arguing with the ghosts about (a normal occurrence in the house nowadays, but still).

"Nothing," Sam lied, the panic making her voice go a little high.

"Uh, okay." Jay decided to wait her out, knowing she'd tell him if he stared her down and refused to leave. It had worked plenty of times before.

Sam blew out a breath, refusing to break, until another wave of nausea hit her and sent her running to the bathroom once more. Once she was done, she cleaned herself up and sighed. "Could you maybe run to the pharmacy and grab some pregnancy tests?"

Jay's mouth dropped open. "Pregnancy tests?" he squeaked.

"Pregnancy tests!" Thorfinn echoed. He only knew what those were because of his favorite TV shows (and movies) but he was still excited.

She nodded. "Hetty thinks she figured it out and I just want to prove her wrong."

"Okay. Not going to touch that one." Jay kissed her forehead, walked her back to the bedroom, and then made a frantic run to the pharmacy.

When the pregnancy tests confirmed what Hetty already suspected, she and the other ghosts celebrated with cheers. "We're going to rock this baby thing!" Sasappis was sure of it.

"Hell yeah, we are," Alberta agreed, unsure how they'd be able to wait months for the baby to arrive.

"So we're having a baby." Sam chuckled nervously.

"Are the ghosts excited?" Jay asked.

She nodded. "Very. Hetty has some disturbing advice."

"How dare you! Honestly, I can't stay mad at you right now so I'll allow it." Hetty beamed at her.

Jay laughed joyously. "We're having a baby, Sam! God, I love you." He leaned over and kissed her. He was terrified but absolutely excited about becoming a father.

"I love you too, Jay. I can't wait to do this with you." She was completely terrified about her pregnancy but definitely looking forward to this new challenge.

"We're having a baby! Thank God I didn't knock anyone up." Trevor was just as excited as the rest of them about Sam's pregnancy.

"We're going to have so much fun helping Sam and Jay." Sasappis couldn't wait to meet the baby. And maybe they'd even see them thanks to Sam's ability.

"Just wish we could do more. Whatever, we got this." Alberta danced joyfully around the bathroom.

"I have so much to tell you but that can wait." Hetty had so much advice to give Sam, and hopefully she'd take it.

The ghosts were all in in regards to Sam's pregnancy, something which didn't surprise her. She and Jay couldn't wait to bring the baby home, throwing themselves into getting ready for the new arrival. In fact, Jay made a quick trip home shortly after she gave birth to inform the ghosts, knowing how impatient they were to meet the baby (something they were all appreciative and thankful about).
