Chapter 1

It had started as a normal day for a herd of Craneosaurs. They were huddled at the edge of the forest. Taking in Ore and enjoying some water from a large puddle. The leader of the herd kept watching while the others ate. She wouldn't eat anything until everyone else had taken in their fill.

Scraptors wouldn't hesitate to pick off one of them if she let her guard down. They had a youngling too. He happily was playing. Chasing a Dragonflopter and tried practicing using his hook to catch it.

The elder smiled. Her attention was suddenly disturbed when she saw a group of Scrapadactyl flying overheard. They weren't interested in them but, they seemed to want to get away fast from something.

She felt uneasy and looked around. She extended her long neck to the highest it could go and looked around. Nothing seemed wrong. The area was quiet again. She just lowered her neck again but couldn't escape the bad feeling she felt.

She wanted to tell the others it was time to leave, but a noise stopped her from getting a word in. She knew the sound. Scraptors! They must have scared those annoying flying ones. Five of them were racing towards them. She let out a call, and her herd gathered in a tight group. Keeping the youngling safe in the middle. The Scraptors were so close now. She lowered her hook just about to use it to grab one of them. However, she never got a chance.

Something was chasing them. Something big, black and silver. It roared. To her horror, it was a T-Trux! No way could they take him. She yelled at the others to turn and run.

They only just turned when another T-Trux came! This one is bigger and meaner looking. He had horns while the other one didn't. His roar was louder too, making a few of her fellow Craneo's run. They didn't get far. The big T-Trux lashed out with a burst of speed. His tail, a wrecking ball built more like a grinding flail with five spiky drills, smashed against them easily toppling them over.

The T-Trux with no horns dived to her. He smashed his tail on her. She spun, hardly able to focus. She wanted to fight but cried out suddenly as she got bitten. She was roughly pulled down to the ground. The T-Trux biting on her tail had forced her down.

The youngling cried, too scared to move as he hid against the leader of their herd. The two big T-Trux's easily beat them. They posed no challenge and might as well have been as dangerous as a leaf.

"Please don't hurt the youngling!" She begged her attackers.

The horned one came closer, grinning at her terrified face. "Oh, I wouldn't dream of doing such a thing. After all, it's your fault this happened. Coming into ours! Territory"

"But..but we didn't know!" A young male Craneosaurs protested. The other T-Trux lifted his tread and smashed it down on the one who spoke.

The horned T-Trux chuckled. "Haha, my little brother has no time for lairs, as you can see. This whole place is our territory, and you knew that!"

She did, but what choice did they have. They had to eat, but it was the same for everyone who lived here. They all lived in fear of those two. Some days they got lucky and wouldn't see them for days. Other days they attacked everyone in sight. Reminding everyone who was in charge of this land. D-Stroy and D-Structs.

"It's time for a lesson!" D-Stroy turned and lowered his tail to the leader. His spiky drills grinding together as they edged closer to her face.

The youngling begged them to stop. He cried, and sobbed but It did little to stop D-Stroy.

D-Structs watched as the young child rushed to him begging again not to hurt her. His tear-filled face looked up at him. It made him feel uneasy. He looked up, watching as his brother's tail was inches from the Craneosaurs leader, threatening to damage her face.

"Brother! They learned their lesson!" He blurted out.

D-Stroy stopped his drills but didn't move his tail back. He looked back, fixing his brother a glare. "What did you say?"

D-Structs looked away. Not sure what made him say that but it happened. He moved back, wanting to just leave the place. "We should go. Look a storm is approaching. We better head back to the cave before it hits"

His older brother looked up. Indeed the clouds above had formed an anonymous color. He noticed how cold it had become. He pulled back his tail and turned to face him. "Fine...then. Let's go home, little brother!"

He almost spat the words out, not caring for what he just did.

D-Structs growled at him. Little brother! Yes, always reminded him, he was weaker and always will be. He didn't care to stay anymore. They made their point and he just wanted to leave. That's the difference between him and his older brother. He wants to prolong the pain. Make Trux suffer endlessly for daring to fight back. While he just simply rushed in, beat them and they quickly got the message and ran off.

He didn't care to even wait for him and took off, racing back home. They lived in a cave near a lake. A small collection of dead trees surrounded the entrance.

He moved to the back of the cave. His only company was the Lightning Bitbugs that had made their home inside.

There was some ore leftover from yesterday. He lowered his mouth and quickly began chewing on them. Once he finished his hearing picked up his brother before he even came inside.

D-Stroy rolled in, his angry gaze fixed on his young brother for a few moments before his gaze relaxed. "Well, they won't be causing problems again".

He threw something towards him. It hit him then landed on the ground. His engine felt sick when he looked down at it. It was the hook of Craneosaurs.

The wire would be attached to its mouth. It was a Craneo's defence weapon. Without it, they only have their body to use, but Craneo's are slow-moving. At least with the hook, they could swing their attackers away before they could reach them.

His widened eyes looked at his smug brother, who just chuckled at his new trophy. "They needed to learn a lesson"

"They did learn! There was no need for that!" He snapped. He hated how sick he was, doing this kind of deed. His mind thought back to the youngling, witnessing what his brother did.

D-Stroy moved towards him. "You remember what happened with the Shockarachnid. Your feelings got you into trouble then. You thought they learned their lesson too, but what happened instead"

D-Structs looked off, knowing full well what happened. He ended up getting caught. His wrecking ball was made useless when he got bit. Their webs tying around him. Unable to use his body or jaw to break free. One spider on him was about to tear him apart until his brother saved him. "They weren't Arachnids!"

D-Stroy shouted at him. "They could still have hurt you! I'm not standing for that to happen. When will you learn you can't feel sympathy for them. None of them!"

They fixed each other a glare but eventually, D-Stroy backed off. He let out a sigh as he moved near the entrance of their cave. "Look, I don't want to fight. We're gonna be locked in here until the storm passes. I have no desire to argue all the time. Let's just get rocks and boulders and block the entrance ok?"

D-Structs grumbled. "Fine, let's go"

They worked quietly, gathering the biggest ones they could find and dragging them back home. It took a while, and by the time they were done, it was dark. Now they lay inside, the entrance blocked. The rain battered the land outside. There was a small hole next to where D-Structs stood, so he could look outside.

The rain poured down heavily. The sound of the storm getting louder, trees thrashing back and forth as the fierce wind struck at them. It looked bad and he had a feeling it was gonna get worse.

Moving away he decided to get some rest. He took a glaze towards his brother for a moment seeing him admire his collection. He used webbing from the Shockarachnid to stick his pieces on the wall. Dozeratops blade, Scraptor claw, metal parts from Ankylodump. He even had a part belonging to a T-Trux that dared to challenge him once.

D-Structs hated him doing that. It didn't feel right. He watched him stick the Craneo's hook on the wall and smiled. Indeed happy with his collection.

D-Structs quickly faced the other way and tried to rest. He hoped the storm wouldn't be too long.

"Brother, you need to eat," D-Stroy said as he dropped a big lump of ore on the ground.

D-Structs turned to look at it. "I'm not hungry, besides don't you usually eat first. I need to know my place! Remember?!"

It wouldn't be the first time when he went to eat. D-Stroy would force him back, not letting him eat until he had his first bite.

His brother rolled his eyes and approached him. "Come on. You know I can't help being that way. Dad was forceful in making sure I was the one in charge"

"He only did that because you were born strong! Being first had nothing to do with it! I was 9 weeks early. Nearly didn't make it because of that. I was a weak T-Trux for years and a failure to our father!"

"Not to me!" His brother yelled, gripping him suddenly, making him look at him. "Remember when dad left you near the desert so you can make it back home yourself. I came back for you, breaking out of my father's grip. I was shocked that you made it into the forest. You fought off Scraptors. Just a kid, then we drove them back for good. Together. Like always"

D-Structs stared at his brother. Their childhood was, frustrating if he were to describe it. Their father would always force them to do tests to prove who was the strongest. He didn't want a weak T-Trux to carry on his name. Reputation, or take over the land he terrorized since he was a young T-Trux.

He had never been so scared in his life when his father dumped him. He took him near the desert and told him to make his way back alone. He warned him not to move until they were out of his sight or else. A Scraptor lair was nearby, so it wouldn't take them long to pick up the scent of child T-Trux.

He felt tired suddenly and a headache coming now. He didn't wish to relive their childhood but was grateful for what his brother said. "Let's just get some rest alright?"

D-Stroy let him go and moved back, seeing his brother's expression soften. He smiled at him. "Goodnight, brother"

D-Structs moved back to his corner and wished him goodnight before he fell asleep.
