A D-Stroy and D-Structs Story

Chapter 2

The storm indeed got worse during the night. Trees were ripped from the very ground. Devastating flooding struck the land.

Lives were lost. Many Reptool's lost their lives trying to get away from the flooding. Truxs weren't so lucky either, as many got stuck by falling trees, trapped and helpless to stop themselves from being scrapped. Many suffered in some way because of the storm. Food supplies were cut off and homes were destroyed.

The storm finally passed in the morning. The two T-Trux's emerged from their home, pushing the rocks out of their way. They stared at the destruction around them. Broken tree branches, rocks, and scrap parts lay all over the ground.

D-Stroy turned to his brother. "There will be trouble. Times like this make Trux will do anything to survive, even daring to attack us, little brother..."

"They'll fall as they all do. Come!" D-Structs moved forward with his brother checking out the area. They saw a few corpses as they went by. The Scraptors and Scrapadactys must have thought this was their birthday with so many preys to pick apart.

They decided to head into the main area where most Trux gather. D-Structs noticed a Craneosaur on the ground. His brother went on ahead but he had to stop, something about her looked familiar.

She lay unmoving. Her mouth opened slightly. She was missing wheels, and her neck was loosely hanging. Blots were missing. He shivered when he noticed It had no hook in its mouth. It was the group they met yesterday.

His gaze was drawn to something besides her. There was a tail, small like a child's. He felt uneasy already picturing in his mind what happened. The Scraptors must have got the child and she couldn't do anything to stop them, she tried but failed. His brother took her only defensive away.

It wasn't right. His thoughts were torn from him when he heard his brother roar. He raced towards him. It didn't take him long to reach him. He found him surrounded by a group of Ankylodumps. One of them hit him with his tail while another spun in the air smacking his body against him. It did little to stop the angry T-Trux.

D-Stroy lashed out with his tail grabbing one and spun using the Ankylodump as a wrecking ball as he sent the other ones flying. Each one cried out as they were hit hard. They had enough of this fight. The moment D-Stroy let go of their fellow Ankylo they just ran for it, putting all their speed into their engines to get away.

"That's right run! You pathetic excuse for a Trux!" He let out his loudest roar making sure they were too terrified to ever come back.

"What happened?!" D-Structs yelled out as he got close to him.

"Oh just reminding them, not to mess with us. I told them to spread it around"

"So they did nothing!" He snapped at him.

D-Stroy just chuckled. "Talking back is something. We can't show them sympathy remember that. I mean it this time! You got that, little... brother..." He seemed to draw out the words little brother.

D-Structs felt his engine burn, hating it. "Shut up!" He hurried away before his brother could say anything anymore. He will prove he is stronger and make him know he isn't little! He wished he would shut up about it!

The main area where most Trux gathered was a mess. The once wide-open spaces, with trees, rocks, and boulders were gone, replaced by a giant new lake. Most of the ore was gathered in this one location. Now gone.

Many other Trux stared at the lake, mouths gaped open. Everyone thinking about what they were gonna do. D-Structs fixed them a glare and most backed away except for a group of Dozeratops. They grumbled talking amongst themselves.

D-Structs fixed them a look. They looked at him, whispering then eventually moved away.

He now stared at the lake. This was indeed going to cause issues. Many will fight over trying to find ore. He had no desire to linger here and went off. He sniffed the air and picked up the scent of ore. His sense of smell was better than his brother's. He didn't see him following him and he was glad. He didn't want to face him, not now. He was too mad.

His trail took him to the entrance of a valley. He could smell the ore inside. This type of place was usually a haven for Scraptors but he guessed they would be too busy picking apart any Trux who didn't make it through the storm.

He moved in and out of the narrow tunnels and saw one opening that led to their lair. His guess was right, the place unguarded but still he was cautious. He rolled in, going slow and listening. He didn't hear their calls or the sound of metal as they fought over a piece. Scrap piles lay all around, but it was the centre of their home he was after.

The ore lay there. He quickly bashed his tail on the ground several times before finding it. He ate his full and smashed another hole. He planned to take some back home.

"We knew we were right following you!"

D-Structs spun fast around. It was the group of Dozeratops he saw earlier. There were 4 of them and he noticed they had a young one too. Then another one joined the group. He was bigger than the others, his blades huge and his horns longer and sharper than the usual kind. He didn't say anything but fixed him a hard stay.

D-Structs guessed he was their muscle. (Pathetic) He thought. He noticed their gaze looking at the ore he had collected for himself. "This is mine! Go find your own!"

"Come on! Were starving, just give us some!" One of them yelled. D-Structs roared at them and they backed up.

This time he heard the voice of a female Dozeratops, she came close to him looking right up into him. "Please..at least give us something for our child" The little one hid near his mother. D-Structs stared at him. His face reminded him of the little Craneo who never got to grow up.

His glare softened and he looked at his ore. He felt guilty that the child never made it. He could give them a little. He lowered his head about to toss them ore when-

"YOU FOOL!" His brother's angry voice boomed. He smashed the group away like they were nothing and rushed at him. D-Structs tried to say something but never got a word in. His brother smashed his tail against his face, knocking him back and smashed him against a pile of scrap metal.

He could feel sharp pieces of scrap digging into him. He tried to get away from it but his brother slammed into him again. Holding him hard against the scrap pile.

"Get off me!" D-Structs yelled.

D-Stroy didn't listen. "I'm sick you! Sick of your weak pathetic attitude! I watched you! You were gonna give into them!"

His brother pushed him again and a sharp piece pierced into him. D-Structs cried out slightly. " Argh! It was just a small amount of ore!"

"Shut up!" D-Stroy bashed his head against his. "Our father would be sickened by what you did! You're a disgrace to his name!"

Childhood memories came back to D-Structs. He always grew up hearing those words. He hated it. Using the angry. He roared at him and pushed back hard. "Shut up!" Now he bashed his head against his, swung fast, and his wrecking ball smashed into his brother's face. The force of the hit made him slide back.

D-Stroy glared at him, his anger boiling over. "Your pathetic, so pathetic and WEAK! You've always been weak! Ever since you were born! Mother should've let you die!"

D-Structs froze. The words stabbed him. He felt pain, not in his body but his spark. He tried to hold back but was too late. He felt the tears dropping from his eyes, running down his cheeks. "I'll show you who WEAK!" He threw his wrecking ball hard as he could, smashing his brother against a large pile of scrap. He ended up getting buried by it.

D-Structs turned his attention to Dozeratops who tried to leave while the T-Trux fought. "I'll show you who's weak!" He faced after them, leaving his brother far behind.

"D-Structs!" He yelled, but his brother was gone. He struggled to break out of the scrap pile but ended up having more scrap dropped on him. His head got hit hard with something and he ended up blacking out.

...

Many Hours later

D-Stroy heard a noise, then a hiss and a growl. He opened his eyes. He realized he was still buried under the scrap. From a small gap, he was able to make out that the Scraptors had returned. He cursed not wishing to deal with them. He wanted to find his idiot brother fast.

He watched them and noticed from the gap he must have been out for some time. It was getting dark. His saving grace. They don't scrap at night.

He waited. It didn't take long for the sun to go down. As soon as the light went out he began struggling, pulling the scrap away bashing its head against the scrap until he felt it fall off him. He roared breaking free, startling the Scraptors who were asleep at the time.

"Damnit! I'll kill him!" He raced off the Scraptors too scared to even try anything. He cursed again, so angry at his brother.

(Well he wouldn't have run off if you didn't upset him) A voice in his head spoke. He shook his head getting those thoughts away from him. He had to make him learn. He can't be weak! A T-Trux is meant to make everyone else live in fear of them. They were the strongest for a reason.

He rushed out of the valley. He hoped there was a trail to follow and just prayed that no wind had been around. He was lucky. He lowered his head and saw on the ground tread markings, he quickly followed them. The hurrying at full speed.

"I swear I'll kill him!" He travelled fast for some time until he came to a hill. The trail moved straight ahead, up the hill. Then disappeared to the other side.

He growled getting frustrated. He just wanted to find his brother. When he reached the hill. He saw signs of battle, tread makings all over the place. Bits of metal and screws and parts scattered around. He even saw part of a Dozeratops blade. He was impressed by his brother for doing this damage.

His brother was probably miles away still angry for him for what he said. He just hoped there was still a trail to follow. He raced up the hill, as soon as he reached the top a sight made him stop in his tracks.

It was D-Structs. He just stood there, pressed up against a group of trees. He raced down towards him feeling his anger boiling over. The moment he drew closer he had prepared to yell, to scream at him but the words never came. His breath left him and his engine went cold in seconds, something bad had happened. He noticed his little brother's whole frame trembling. Eyes closed. A pool of black and purple liquid dyed the sand around him.

"Brother!" No response. Panic started to set it. He leaned in close, pressing his face against his to hear if he was still breathing, to his relief he was but he didn't like the sound of it. It was as if he was struggling to breathe.

"D-Structs answer me! Yell at me for Part's sake! Just say something!" No answer came from his little brother. He had no choice he needed to see the damage. His own hands shaking he grabbed him. He pulled him back from the trees. He finally got a response from his brother, he groaned and whimpered from his movement. He moved around him to look at his left tread. The shock of what he saw made him let go.

Two big holes were on his left tread. Blood and oil were oozing from the wounds. "D-Structs!" Without his support, he lost balance and was falling sideways. D-Stroy rushed grabbing him and holding him to stop him from falling.

He saw he opened his eyes for a moment but they closed once more. D-Stroy panicked. It looked bad and he had no idea how long he was out here. An infection could spread or Predators could pick up his scent. He needed to get him somewhere safe but he needed his help to do it.

Looking at the damage he knew he couldn't use his left tread to move. There was only one option he have to keep the tread up as they moved. He can help him.

"D-Structs look at me" He shook him gentle just enough to make his eyes flutter open again.

"Listen I need you to lift your tread, I'll hold on to you and get us home but you need to lift your tread" He hoped he understood. His eyes threatened to close again so he shook him harder. "Damnit listen to me! You idiot! Stay awake and lift your bloody tread, weakly!" He didn't mean it this time to insult him but he hoped the words would prompt him to move.

It did. D-Structs groaned, an angry growl escaping him as he lifted it. He could tell it greatly hurt. D-Stroy stood alongside him, his arm around him. "We're gonna move now ok" He didn't hear his brother speak.

D-Stroy started his engine and moved forward. The movement didn't cause him more pain but going this slow will take them longer to get home. "Just focus on moving ok, focus!"

"W..why" His brother's weak voice spoke, D-Stroy looked at him, staring into his eye noticing the tear sliding down his face. It seems to sparkle in the moonlight but it just made him feel worse and sick. He kept moving but his brother spoke again.

"Y..you..wanted me.. !" He blurted out the last word but it caused him to have a coughing fit. D-Stroy suspected the wound was indeed infected. Now his brother was hurt and sick too. He had no response to give to him not trusting his voice to stay calm. He had to get him home.

" be quiet and keep moving! We'll be home" The back of his mind he thought of those Scraptors. He prayed to anyone who listen to make this the longest night of the crater.

He glanced at his brother, his head was low, breathing slowly again. The wound still bled and a trail was being left behind because of it.

(Look what you did. You got him like this!) His own thoughts talking. Guilt working double time on him. He grunted, shaking his head again, it was a futile attempt to get rid of them. (He is dying now because of you. You had to push him! Call him weak, said mom should have let him die. You made him like this!)

"SHUT UP!" He screamed. His thoughts leaving him and the only thing he could hear was his own shaking breathing. He quickly glanced at his brother but D-Structs didn't hear him. He passed out again. D-Stroy felt himself shaking. "Come on now D-Structs hold on! Hold on..."

He put more speed into getting home and he wonder how on earth he was gonna fix him. His tears came now as he turned his head to look at his unconscious brother. "Stay with me". He pleaded hoping he will listen and hoped they will be home soon.
