Good bye may seem the end but for me it's the beginning
Shadow was thinking about Sonic.
Izzy was now twenty one and Shadow had told everyone why he let Sonic do that and all understood.
The Big Foot reacted by firing eight missiles at Sonic. Sonic allowed to chase him up a building, then the Big Foot. He jumped off, causing the missiles to destroy the robot.
We met, it seems, such a short time ago
"That guy's gotta work on his aim a little bit." Sonic said and a glow came from the destroyed robot.
The glow subsided, revealing him.
"What the...?"
"Good evening. I must say, it's a pleasure for me to finally meet you face-to-face, Sonic. We do look alike. It's uncanny." he said.
"Wait a minute! So it's you who been getting me into all this hot water lately! Impostor!"
He leapt toward the robot to attack him, but he vanished before Sonic got there.
Sonic looked up to see him atop a building.
"I assure you, Sonic, I'm no impostor. I possess too much power to be anything but the real thing." he said.
"Well, if you're so powerful, let's see you prove it!" Sonic said and ran up the building, but the hedgehog faded before he could get there.
Sonic saw him atop a taller building and laughed.
"Hey, not bad. I'm almost impressed. How about a little race action?" Sonic said.
Soon Sonic was racing him through the city. Notably, while Sonic ran, he appeared to skate.
He cut in front of Sonic.
"He's tougher than I thought he was." Sonic said to himself.
"Ha! Think you can beat me?" he asked and Sonic gained speed. "Not quite." he said and caught up.
Tanaka was driving Chris and chuck into the city when they saw Sonic and him running toward them. Then he vanishes, and the car skid to a stop. He reappeared and kicked Sonic to the ground.
"What just happened?" Sonic asked.
A spy drone shows up.
He stood over a fallen Sonic, Chaos Emerald in hand and held it up.
"He's got a Chaos Emerald!" Chris said.
"Where'd you get that Chaos Emerald, you phony freak? Hand it over!" Sonic said and he teleported behind Sonic.
"You can do better than that, Sonic. If you don't light a fire under those feet, you'll never get this Emerald back." he said.
Sonic leapt into the air, and attempted to kick him, but he teleported again. Sonic was shocked.
"He really is faster than I am!" Sonic said.
"But that's not speed. He's disappearing!" Chuck said.
"Whoa!" Chris said.
"That's not all. I'm full of surprises." he said now on top of a street lamp
"Grandpa!"
"Chaos Control now." he said and activated Chaos Control while Sonic ran.
"He can cause Chaos Control with just one Chaos Emerald? Who is he? And there did he come from?" Sonic said to himself.
Then he reappeared next to Sonic and delivered blow after blow.
"Leave him alone!" Chris said.
"Like to fight dirty, don'cha?" Sonic asked.
"Consider yourself fortunate. If I'd used my full strength, you'd have been much worse off than this." he said and overshadowed Sonic. "Many years ago, Professor Gerald Robotnik endowed me with the power of Chaos Control. A normal creature like yourself doesn't stand a chance against me."
"Don't underestimate us "normal" types."
He glanced up for a moment, hearing the sound of the approaching authorities, then looked back at Sonic.
"I have a feeling I should make myself scarce. Goodbye, Sonic. It certainly was a nice pleasure. Chaos Control now." he said and used the Chaos Emerald to vanish as several police cars, helicopters, and GUN Beetles arrive.
Then he saw the day they started a family.
You looked at me, needing me so
He and Sonic had just had sex last month and he was throwing up lately.
Sonic was right by his side rubbing his back.
"You OK?" Sonic asked and he nodded.
Then he got up and looked at the pregnancy test he took a few minutes ago.
They smiled and looked at each other.
"Well there's one more good thing about being the Ultimate Lifeform!" he said and they laughed then hugged and kissed.
A week later they were going to tell the others on Friday and were in the living room watching TV.
Yet from your sadness
He was laying his head on Sonic when he felt pain in his stomach and winced then hissed.
"You alright?" Sonic asked and he nodded.
"Yeah."
Sonic nodded.
Ten minutes later he felt again and held onto his stomach.
"Are you sure you're OK?" Sonic asked and he was about to open his mouth when they saw blood and looked at each other.
"No!" he said and burst into tears.
Sonic held him close.
"It's alright, let me take your Chaos Emerald and I'll heal you." he said and he nodded.
Then he took out his Emerald and while he cried Sonic healed him.
"There. We can try again when you're ready if you want. Or we can just adopt one."
He nodded and Sonic held him close.
Then he saw the day they adopted Izzy.
Our happiness grew
They were at Emerald Orphanage.
"Is there anything imp articular you're looking for?" the caretaker asked.
"We were hoping for a girl." he said and she nodded.
"Any age?"
"No." Sonic said and she nodded again then showed them where the kids are.
And I found out I needed you too
While they looked around they had a little trouble figuring out who to adopt.
Then they saw young looking baby and looked at each other then walked over to her.
Then he gently picked her up and she stopped crying and looked at them.
"I can see you found Izzy." the caretaker said.
"What happened?" he asked.
"His mother gave birth to her here after the father dying from sickness." she said. "She's only three months old."
They looked at each other and nodded.
"We'll taker her in. She's to young to have a life like us." Sonic said and the caretaker smiled then nodded.
Then they went and signed the papers and headed home.
After that he saw all the time they had together.
I remember how we used to play
Vanilla had helped them raise Izzy and being an older brother and created to look after a granddaughter they were doing fine.
He thought about how they raised her and then the day he lost Sonic.
I recall those rainy days
When he got home he saw Izzy smiling and coloring.
"Hi daddy." she said smiling.
"Hey Iz. Where's dad?" he asked.
"Upstairs."
He nodded and went upstairs.
The fire's glow
He took a deep breath then walked into their room and say Sonic laying there on their bed with red eyes.
Then he took a deep breath fighting tears and held onto the pills.
That kept us warm
"Sonic?" Shadow said.
"Yeah?" Sonic said.
"I, have something for you." he said and handed him a pill.
Sonic took it and looked at then Shadow.
"What is it?" he asked
And now I find, we're both alone
Shadow fought the tears in his eyes from coming down even harder.
"It's Dextropropoxyphene hydrochloride." he said.
Sonic looked at him.
"I know what you've wanted to do for the past few years and what you've been through."
"Can I take one?" he asked and Shadow nodded.
Goodbye may seem forever
Sonic smiled, opened the bottle, took one out and looked at Shadow.
"Thank you." he said then took it.
Then he felt his heart to slow down and have trouble breathing.
He looked at Shadow smiling a little.
"Thank you." he said quietly and Shadow nodded. "I'm sorry, after my childhood I can't take it anymore. But know this, I-I'll al-always love you and be with you." he said and was gone.
Farewell is like the end
Then Shadow gave in and cried hard.
"I love you to." he whispered then held him while he cried.
But in my heart is a memory
He felt tears going down and started to cry.
"I can't do it. I miss him so much." he whisper while he cried.
Half an hour later he calmed down and was writing something.
And there you'll always be
Dear Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Cream, Rouge and Izzy,
I can't do it anymore. The day I lost Sonic is the day I lost everything. Since Izzy doesn't need us Sonic was the only thing I had until that day.
It hurt to let him kill himself but I understand that he lost so many people and I'm disgusted to call myself a Robotnik's creation.
Izzy, you've made me so proud over the years and hope you have a good future.
I'm sorry for leaving you all but like I said, I can't do it anymore.
I'll miss you. You guys were the best friends and family I've ever had.
I'll tell Sonic you said hello.
Shadow
Goodbye may seem forever
When he was done he looked at it, nodded then hung it up on the door.
"I'm so sorry guys." he muttered with his eyes watering a little then shut the door and went upstairs.
Farewell is like the end
When he got there he went into the closet and reached for his gun.
He looked at it
But in my heart is a memory
When he opened his eyes he saw a blue hedgehog smiling.
"Hey." Sonic said.
"Sonic?" Shadow said with tears going down.
Sonic smiled and slowly opened his arms.
And there you'll always be
Then Shadow ran to him and kissed him with tears going down.
"I missed you so much." Shadow whispered.
"I missed you too." Sonic said and held him close.
"Don't you even do this to me again!"
Sonic smiled and gave him a kiss.
"I'm not going anywhere." he said.
