( April 4, 2017 )

Feeling a pain in my shoulder, I began to cry out in pain. Holding a machete in my hand, I turned and beheaded a zombie, in one strike. However, it was already too late. Being shirtless, my shoulder had nothing to protect it, and as I put my hand on my wound, I felt blood flow. The zombie had just bite me. In five minutes, I would collapse to the ground, before I die. Then, a few minutes later, my body would stand up again, but by then I would have become a zombie.

Yet it hardly had any effect. I wasn't even afraid to die. Looking ahead, I saw an entire horde of undead walking in my direction, while behind me was a huge wall, preventing me from escaping.

Three years ago, an apocalypse hit the planet, and zombies appeared, threatening the survival of mankind. When that day arrived, I saw a large chunk of my friends die and turn into human-eating monsters. Yet I tried to survive. I met other survivors, I was part of several groups, I survived for three years, without getting bitten. However, it had been seven months since I had seen a living person. All the people I had known were already dead, leaving me as the only survivor of humanity. That was why I was not afraid of dying.

I was tired of living in this hell.

"Ken ... Amana ... Fuka ... I will join you soon! Wait for me."

Seeing the zombies coming towards me, I smiled, before rummaging in my pockets. Pulling out a grenade, I stared at the monsters in front of me, before unpinning it.

"SAYONARA!" I said, knocking it down at my feet.

A deafening explosion was the last memory of this life

Startling, a boy opened his eyes, as he felt a hand touch his shoulder. Immediately he closed his fist and got ready to punch the zombie who was trying to surprise him in his sleep.

However, to his surprise, he saw a student in front of him who started backing away in fear, as he had almost been hit.

"Hey, are you nuts?"

Standing still, the student who had just woken up stared at the boy in front of him. Not being able to say anything, he had the impression of seeing a ghost.

" K ... Ken ? "

"Are you okay, Lux?" Ken asked.

Remaining silent, Lux eventually pinched himself, and winced at the pain. He wasn't dreaming. He was alive and well. Yet he was certain he was dead in the explosion of his grenade. And even if, by some miracle, he had managed to stay alive, he would have been transformed into a zombie. Also, there was no way Ken was in front of him, since Lux had seen him get bitten by a zombie and shoot himself in the head, so as not to become a monster. Ken was dead two days after the first zombies arrived, three years ago.

"How? Ken? Are you alive?"

" What ? "

Suddenly, hearing other voices, Lux looked around and was surprised, seeing hundreds of students around him, gathered in a large amphitheater, of a university. Talking or sneering, each of them seemed to behave like normal people as they waited for the next class to start.

"What ...? Where am I?"

Sighing, Ken asserted.

"You should really stop sleeping in class! We just finished math class."

"Maths? Wait ... are we in class? At the university ? "

"Of course! Where did you think you were?"

At that moment, Lux felt someone hit the back of his head.

"Idiot!" A girl insulted him. "I saw you sleeping in class again! Lux, you should stop behaving this way and get more serious."

Shocked again, Lux stared at the girl who had just arrived.

" Amana ? "

"Huh?" Amana wondered.

At that moment, she blushed, feeling Lux's arms circling her waist, before the boy hugged her, all the while starting to scream.

"Amana! Amana! You're alive."

"What…?" The girl wondered, her face was all red.

"I think he had a nightmare," Ken told her.

"A nightmare?" Lux repeated.

" No! It's impossible! These three years that I've lived with zombies ... it couldn't be a nightmare! It was reality! But then, why am I here? Go back in time? No, it can't! It doesn't make any sense! But if it really is! Then it means ... it means I can save my friends. "

at that moment, pushing Amana away, he asked.

" What day is it ? "

" Huh ? "

" What day is it ? "

"April 4," Ken replied.

"And the year?"

" 2014 ! "

Immediately, Lux's gaze showed fear, as he asserted.

" It's today. "

" Huh ? "

"Of course the biology exam is today." Amana asserted, sighing. "Damn it! I bet you haven't revised anything and are pretending you're going crazy so you can quit class and go to the infirmary."

At that moment Lux got up and grabbed her hand.

"We must go."

" What ? "

Looking at her watch, Lux noticed that it was ten in the morning.

"The massacre will begin in two hours, we must act quickly."

"The massacre ? What are you talking about?"

"I don't have time to explain to you." Lux said, looking at Amana and Ken. "Guys! We have to get out of here."

" What ? "

Then turning to the other students, Lux began to scream.

"Everyone! You must flee."

"Huh?" Several people wondered, starting to look at him.

Entering the amphitheater at that moment, an old professor heard Lux's words and asked.

"Mr. Timura, may I know the reason for your screaming?"

Getting ready to cry out that a zombie horde would attack the world in two hours, the boy fell silent, knowing full well that no one was going to believe him. Finally, pulling out his cell phone and pretending to have received a text, he screamed.

"A comrade from another amphitheater just called me! They just found a bomb in the establishment! We must evacuate."

There was a big silence. Immediately Lux wondered if he wasn't looking ridiculous. However, he hadn't found anything better. However, he was surprised when he heard the professor cry out in terror, while screaming.

"WE MUST GO!"

Immediately, screams were raised as people left their seats to flee the amphitheater. Trip surprised by what was happening, Amana felt Lux grab her arm as she ordered her.

"Stay there."

"What? But ... the bomb?"

"There is no bomb." Lux asserted.

"WHAT? Did you just lie? Why?"

"To save them." 'Lux assured, while watching the students flee. "When noon arrived, the zombies came here and we made a huge carnage! There were only about ten of us who managed to escape. Hopefully, being outside, more of them can escape. . "

"Zombies? Which zombies? What are you talking about?"

In response, Lux forced her to follow him, as he ran to an emergency door, followed by Ken.

"Hey? Can you tell us what's going on? Where are you going?"

"Search for weapons."

" Weapons. "

Stopping immediately, Amana shook her arm to let go, before screaming.

"Stop your nonsense! Weapons? Zombies? What's wrong with you?"

"Guys! You have to believe me."

" And why ? "

Searching inwardly for a way to make them understand that he was telling the truth, Lux had only one solution. Looking at him, his two friends were completely surprised, seeing him get on his knees, before starting to plead with them.

"I beg you! Trust me."

Dumbfounded, his two friends then heard him say it.

"I don't want ... I don't want you to die again! Please! Trust me."

Still surprised, Ken and Amana looked at each other. Then, finally, Ken asked.

"Lux ... what's going on?"

"Follow me!" The boy advised them, getting to his feet. "I promise to tell you everything along the way."

Then he started running, to get out of the university where he used to go to study in the past. Watching him run, Ken scratched his head, before saying.

"He acts weird but ... weird, I want to believe him, when he says something is going to happen."

"He had better tell the truth." Amana asserted. "Because, if he lied, just to fail the biology exam, I would kill him."

( April 4, 2014 - 10:46 am )

"Are zombies going to attack us?" Ken repeated. "And I got killed?"

"Yes! You got bitten and you shot yourself."

"" And I was killed by a man? "Said Amana.

"Yes! An asshole I wanted to kill myself."

Having listened to Lux talk about the upcoming zombie attack, while the boy was driving his car, Ken and Amana couldn't help but wince.

"Your story is really strange."

"I know." Lux asserted. "And believe me, I really wish this was all a lie on my part! But, unfortunately it will happen! Everyone is going to die."

"How do you know you're telling the truth?"

"Our university was attacked at noon," Lux told her. "That means the first zombies are going to arrive soon! Therefore, we must quickly find weapons to defend ourselves."

"Where do you want to find it? In an armory? You wouldn't even get a dagger, by going there."

"I'm not going to an armory! We're going to an abandoned warehouse."

"What ? "

At that moment, indeed arriving in front of a warehouse, which seemed abandoned for years, Lux stopped his car, before exiting. Imitating him, Ken asked.

"What are we doing here?"

"Four months after the zombie attack started, I came here and luckily I managed to find some weapons."

Entering the building, the boy walked through several rooms, before finding himself in a small room that looked like an old office.

"This is where the office of the boss of this place was. "

"Awesome." Amana said sarcastically. "And where are your weapons?"

Crouching down at that moment, Lux smiled, pointing to the floor, which was covered with parquet. The whole parquet was old and dusty and some wood had already molded. Yet a small area of the ground was incredibly well preserved. In fact, the parquet seemed to be like new.

"Here!" Lux asserted, stamping the ground with her foot.

Immediately, the spot he hit shattered with a kick of his heel, as Ken and Amana saw that it was just faux parquet, used to hide a hole in the floor, where a few guns were stored.

"But how…?" Amana wondered.

"Illegally imported guns," Ken understood. "This abandoned warehouse serves as a hiding place for people who want to resell them."

Simply shrugging, Lux grabbed the weapons. As in his memories, there were four revolvers and a few boxes of ammunition, as well as a saber and a dagger.

" Perfect ! "

Immediately, he handed two guns to his friends, before pinning the other two at his belt. Then, he put the dagger in his jacket pocket, before positioning the scabbard of the sword at his back.

"We'll use this to survive."

"What? A gun?" Amana wondered, looking at her gun. "Wait a second! I never shot with that."

"If we can survive today and find a good hiding place, I will teach you." Lux assured. "Now we're leaving."

Looking at his gun, Ken swallows, as he notices that Lux was right about the guns.

"Zombies? Are zombies really coming?"

"Maybe! We'll see that later! Hurry up! We have no time to waste."

"Wait." Amana yelled, trying to tuck her gun under her clothes. "Where are we going now."

"To Fujimi High School!"

" What ? "

"The high school where Fuka is."

Immediately thinking of a high school girl, with brown hair, being bitten by a zombie, the boy clenched his fists, while asserting.

"She too… I would protect her."
