Thrown violently on the ground, Ken's father raised his angry face in the direction of an obese man. Smoking a cigar, the man only smiled at him, letting him see one of his teeth, which was covered in gold.
"Sergio-san... how nice to see you! After what happened in this world, I thought I wouldn't have the joy of seeing you alive again! How is your family?"
Roaring with rage, Ken's father wanted to get him up, despite his bound arms. Unfortunately, being next to him, two men kicked him to keep him down. Nevertheless, still enraged, he remembered what had happened at his house.
First of all, he had had the idea of giving up his apartment, so that his wife would be safe, while he wanted to leave his building for a few hours, the time to be able to find Ken. Nevertheless, the couple had been surprised to hear gunshots. For a few minutes, a group of people had ventured into the building and killed all the zombies they came across.
Initially, hearing this, the couple felt hopeful, thinking that it was army soldiers, who had been sent here to save all the survivors of the building. However, their joy had completely disappeared, the moment the door to their apartment opened and a group of people rushed into their home.
Far from to be soldiers, they were people considered yakuza, working under the orders of a man who hated Ken's father: Fatty Wanu.
"You ordered your men to kill my wife." Sergio roared. "I will never forgive you, motherfucker. »
Smiling, Fatty crouched down in front of him, before taking a deep breath. Then pulling out his cigar, he exhaled a large amount of smoke, on Sergio's face.
"Only your wife? Damn it, I wish your son was also among the victims! But, maybe he's already dead too."
" Why ? roared Sergio. "Our world is disappearing! Do you really think it's time to act like monsters?"
"Our world isn't going away." Fatty retorted, straightening up.
Then, lifting his foot, he crushed it hard on Ken's father's back, making him scream in pain.
"He's already gone! The police, the army, the government...they're all already gone! From now on, it's people like me who are going to rule this world."
Crushing him several times on his foot, Fatty ends up seeing him stay on the ground, unconscious.
" Tsss ! "
Snapping his fingers, he orders two of his men.
"Take him away! I'll take care of it later."
Seeing his men pull Sergio out of the room, he then sat down on a couch, finishing his cigar. Then, snapping his fingers again, he summoned another man.
"Hiyuko! Tell me the situation in town! Did you come across any other survivors?"
Approaching him, Hiyuko affirmed.
"We passed a few survivors, but all of them were fleeing out of town, while being followed by these monsters! And in this guy's building, almost everyone we passed were zombies And as for those who did not want to follow us to become our lackeys, we killed them.
" Perfect. Affirmed Fatty. "There's no point in leaving these idiots alive! And I hope others will understand that one should never underestimate Fatty Wuan! By the way, how did the death of the wife of this fool ?"
"As you requested, we tied her up and left the front door open! And we made sure a few zombies could find her! As of now, she's been around a long must have been eaten alive."
Smiling sadly, Fatty declared.
"It remains only to inflict the same sentence on the son, if he is still alive! And did you find interesting things there?"
" Tsss! That guy was just a loser. " Hiyuko affirmed, reaching into her pockets. "Nevertheless, I managed to find this."
He showed a gold rolex, which seemed to have some value.
"Are you interested?"
"Keep it. Fatty replied simply. "Take this as a reward."
"Thanks, Boss!" Hiyuko thanked him, putting it around his wrist.
"Now, let's get everything in place for tonight's activity." Fatty announced. "Most importantly, Sergio-san is a very special guest! I want his death to be the best of all."
"Fatty Wuan?" Lux repeated. "I don't know this guy."
"My father often told me about him." Rei affirmed. "Apparently he works with yakuyas, which he uses to get rid of his competition! He's not a very social person."
"What does it have to do with your family?" Takashi asked Ken.
"My dad is a journalist." Ken explained. "He has often written about him! If you want my opinion, now that justice is no longer there to protect him, my father has now become his target."
"I understand." Lux said. "And where can we find this guy?"
"WAIT! WAIT! WAIT!" Tsunoda suddenly shouted. " This was not planned. "
Seeing everyone staring at him, he asked.
"I'm the only one who cares about our situation! I remind you that we just went to get weapons! And now we're going to fight against a group of Yakuza? Is this a joke?"
"Tsunoda is right." Kawamoto agreed. "Remember what happened with those four people who tried to kill us! The yakuza are professional killers! How could we face them?"
"I think they're right." Takashi agreed. "In our group, we are six but only Lux and Kohta know how to use guns! We are not enough to face them."
"I can't abandon my father." Ken affirmed.
Looking down, he said.
"All I ask is that you get me closer to where Fatty is! I'll take care of the rest."
Lux continued to drive in silence.
" Lux ? "
"We're going over there and we'll kill this guy." The student announced.
"What?" wondered the students behind him.
"Are you kidding?" Tsunoda questioned. "Even with our weapons, fighting these men will be even more dangerous than fighting zombies."
"We have no idea how many enemies there will be there." Rei agreed. "I understand that you want to save your friend's father but... do you really think we can make it happen."
"Didn't I tell you that already?" Lux asked. "I never make reckless decisions."
" Huh ? "
"This situation...it's the ideal training for you! Today, you're going to use the guns that we managed to get! And the best part is that when we leave, we will also have those of Fatty and his gang! I can't wait to see their firearms."
" But we can never win against them. " Kawamoto retorted.
Simply smiling, Lux said.
"If we attack them head-on, we won't stand a chance! Nevertheless,..."
Turning to Kohta, he declared.
"We know our sniper and it is he who will make all the difference."
"Me?" Kohta wondered.
"Yeah! Today you will be a hero."
" A hero ? "
" A PLANE !" Kawamoto suddenly shouted.
Indeed, looking up, the rest of the group saw the silhouette of a plane in the sky.
"Enjoying this view, we're sure not going to see one for quite a while."
"Can't we do something to get its attention?" Rei asked.
"It's no use." Takashi retorted. "If you want my opinion, other people have already tried to attract its attention, in vain! This plane must have started from a place and will reach its destination, without ever trying to make the slightest detour! It must surely be carrying important people whose lives are worth more than ours."
"But…in this situation, being rich or famous no longer has any advantage." Rei retorted.
"We've only been attacked for two days." Lux retorted. "For some people, within a week the army will have already killed all these monsters! So people protect the rich, hoping to receive money, once this apocalypse is behind us."
"Listening to you, I really get the impression that you don't think that will be the case." Tsunoda remarked. "
"I know for a fact that this problem will not be solved in a few days! If you want my opinion, it takes several months, at the very least, for us to kill all these monsters."
Suddenly, seeming to pick up movement, he jerked the steering wheel and made a right-angled turn, jostling everyone in the back of the van.
"Hey, are you crazy?" Tsunoda questioned.
"Why did you shoot?" Kohta asked.
Appearing to follow the plane, Lux saw something that had been thrown out of the plane.
"There is a package."
" Huh ? "
Looking at the plane, Takagi saw a huge package that had been thrown out of the plane. Falling to the ground, his fall had been slowed by a parachute.
"What is it?" Kawamoto asked.
"There are places in the country where people cannot flee and are forced to survive with what they have at hand! To help them, the government has surely set up plane flights which aim to drop packs, containing weapons and food."
"Do you want us to pick it up?" Rei asked. "Do we really need it?"
"We already have weapons and food." Kawamoto agreed.
"I think it's time for you to understand something: every food or ammunition is now precious! If you see something that is used for survival, pick it up! That's the number 1 rule of this world. "
Finally, a few minutes later, hearing the noise made by the huge package, touching the ground, some zombies approached the few crates, which were connected to each other. However, a sword decapitated them and knocked them to the ground.
Having killed the monsters in a few seconds, Lux ended up looking at the few crates that made up the package.
"That stuff is the jackpot."
Approaching him, Takashi grabbed a lid and forced it open. Finally, when the lid was removed, he saw a large number of ammo boxes and a few weapons.
"Looks like there's even more ammo in there than any we found in the police station!"
"GREAT!" Kohta rejoices. "In the end, it was worth the detour."
"It doesn't matter that we have more weapons, there aren't enough of us to fight against yakuza." Tsunoda insisted.
"For now, let's get as much stuff in the van as possible." Lux decided, cutting the ropes that connected the crates to the parachute.
Grabbing several boxes of ammunition, he walked back to the van and threw them inside. Imitating him, the high school students took the rest of the ammunition from the weapons that were in the crate.
Opening another crate, Rei found food.
"Bottles of water and jerky."
Searching another crate, Ken eventually finds boxes of medicine.
"I think I found the pharmacy."
"That's what we were missing." Lux remarked. "We take the drugs."
However, as soon as he and the others returned to the van to put down the first boxes of medicine, they were startled by the sound of a detonation. Jumping in fear, seeing a projectile hit the ground, Takashi took refuge behind the van. Then, cocking his head to the side, he saw a figure on a roof, with a gun in his hand.
"This pack is mine." The man roared, firing again.
Hearing the new bang, Rei screamed.
"Hey, this package is for everyone! If you want, we can share."
Using her voice to target her, the man fired in her direction.
"It's all mine." The man roared.
Hearing him shoot again, Ken groaned.
"This fool is going to attract all the zombies around."
"Grrr! We're leaving." Lux decided. "KOHTA..."
Still having his revolver at waist level, the high school student took it out before shooting the man. Aiming for his leg, he fired two projectiles that immobilized the man. Screaming in pain, he dropped his weapon, grabbing his injured leg.
"LET'S GO!" Lux shouted, running to the driver's seat of the van.
"DAMN IT! You're bad luck." Tsunoda roared, rushing to the back of the van. "I really wonder why I follow you."
"It's thanks to me that we have firearms."
"Maybe but, because of that, it's the second time we've been attacked."
Finally, closing the doors behind him, Takashi felt the van start and came upon the ammo stash. Looking at all the weapons they had recovered, as well as the few boxes of medicine, he declared.
"With all of this, I feel like we can fight all the zombies in town."
"Don't give that weirdo any ideas." Tsunoda roared. "He would be able to ask us to do it."
"We will." Lux assured. "When there are more of us."
"I wonder if I'd better leave the group." Tsunoda confessed.
Simply laughing, Lux asked him.
"Do you really want to live in a world full of zombies? I don't see how trying to kill them all is a bad plan.."
"It's up to the army to kill these monsters! Not a bunch of high school kids! I say we won't stand a chance."
" You just have to believe." Affirmed Lux.
Then regaining his seriousness, he declared.
"But knowing that, we're going to get rid of a bunch of yakuza."
"Huh…are you really counting on me to kill them?" Asked Kohta, who was sitting next to him.
Barely glancing at him, Lux ended up reaching into his jacket pocket and handing him an item.
"Take whatever weapon you want and use that."
"A scope?" Kohta wondered, recognizing the object.
"There was only one in the crate we emptied." Lux told him. "Now I ask you a question…do you think I can entrust him to you?"
"Huh…I…I think."
"Stop stuttering and speak up." Lux advised him. "Once we get there, we won't have the right to hesitate."
Looking at the weapons around her, Rei asked.
"Do you really want to... kill people?"
Hearing this question, Kawamoto began to shiver at the thought of having to kill another person. Even though she tried to forget him, she kept thinking about the man she had killed at the police station.
"These people are yakuza." Affirmed Lux. "People who killed a woman by letting her be eaten alive! These kind of guys... we must kill them before they recruit people! If we attack them by surprise, this will be our only chance to kill them , before they gain power."
"Don't laugh at us." Tsunoda roared.
Grabbing a gun, he pointed it behind Lux's skull.
"Take us back to the mall."
"Hey, what are you doing?" Takashi questioned.
" You little ... " Grogna Ken.
Yet compared to them, Lux remained calm as he continued to drive.
"Turn around." Tsunoda insisted.
"Tsuna...are you afraid to die?" Lux questioned.
"Huh...of course I'm scared! We've got guns! We've got food! We can go back to where the others are! Damn it, those guys are yakuza. If anything, they killed Ken's dad for a long time! I don't feel like fighting them."
"Tsuna...if someone runs away once, they'll keep running away for a lifetime."
"What? What's wrong with running away? Running away is always the way to live a long life."
"Maybe, but this strategy will never allow you to do what you want! Let's say we leave these mobsters alone, what will we do the day they attack the mall to steal our goods?"
" Huh ... je ..."
"You're the kind of guy who runs away as soon as there's danger and if companions see you running away, they'll imitate you! Tsuna...I think this situation is to make you understand something: in his life, there is always a moment when someone must know how to behave like a man."
Looking at the school, thanks to the rear view mirror, he affirms.
"Today, you must behave like a man! And you will see that our action today will allow our group to survive longer."
Listening to him, Tsunoda felt his arm tremble. What Lux was saying made sense. Yet he was afraid.
"Do you… Do you think we can actually survive in this world? Fighting those monsters is really a better idea than running away from them?"
In response, Lux smiled, before declaring.
"If you want an answer to that question, trust me."
Trembling more, Tsunoda closed his eyes.
" DAMN ! "
Thinking he was going to shoot, Ken was surprised to see him lower his gun, before sitting down.
"Even though I want to trust you, I feel like we're all going to die tonight."
"I promise you that will not be the case!. " Assured Lux. "I promise."
Meanwhile, having a pair of binoculars, Say growled.
"It's past seven! The sun is setting! What are they doing?"
being next to her, eating a packet of sweets, Morita declared.
"Maybe they bumped into other people and planned to come back tomorrow."
"Tsss! As if that would have put them so late."
Then turning her face to look at Saeko, who was sitting cross-legged while seeming to meditate, Saya questioned her.
"You don't care."
"Of course I'm worried." Saeko assured her, keeping her eyes closed. "It's just that panicking won't help."
"What do you suggest, then? That we form another group to go get them?"
" No question. " Saeko retorted.
" What ? »
"Lux-san was very clear. " Saeko affirmed. "He asked us to protect this place, until he comes back! I promised him I would."
"Even though Takashi and the others are in danger?"
"For me, as long as Lux is with them, they fear nothing! In truth, I fear for us."
" Hein ? "
Sitting cross-legged, Saeko had an idea of what was going on inside the mall.
Roaring in anger, Amana glared at Shido, as the man again tried to indoctrinate his students, while claiming that the chances of Lux returning were zero.
"How dare you, asshole?" Amana roared. "Lux saved your life and you have no shame in betraying him?"
"Betray him?" Shido repeated, pretending to be shocked. "Amana-san, I don't know what to talk about! I'm helping Lux-san."
Opening his arms, to introduce the students around him, he declared.
"Do you forget what Lux-san said, when we were on the bus? He said he would let me be his adviser!
So I'm the person with the most power when Lux-san isn't around! As a result, I'll keep order until our leader comes back! I'm doing Lux-san a favor."
" You little ... " Shouted Amana.
However, eventually leaving, she preferred not to fight against him and thus create some tension within the group.
" Lux...as soon as you get back, you need to get rid of this guy. "
