The Ridonculous Race: Cartoon Crossover
Episode 2: Here We Go Again – Part 2
Scene shows a portal open up and the teams falling out of it, some gracefully, others simply fall flat on their faces. Once the portal has closed, they begin to observe their surroundings. Jude immediately recognizes the location.
Jude: Dudes, we're in Toronto, Canada.
Cavendish: How do you know for sure?
Jude: Because of that. (points at the CN Tower)
Odie: There's our first destination.
Dick Daring: If we're in Canada, then I'd better work on my accent. (begins speaking with a thick Canadian accent) Greetings, ey. How aboot we ride some moose and watch hockey while enjoying some maple syrup.
Some of the Canadian contestants look a little uncomfortable.
Jen: Um, just to educate you, that's a hurtful stereotype.
Dick Daring: (with his thick Canadian accent) Oh, soury. (realizes what he said and goes back to his American accent) I mean, sorry.
[Place Description]
Don: Welcome back to Toronto, the capital of North America. Birthplace of Funk, where the Albino Panther roams free. Now that the teams have arrived, they must make their way towards the CN Tower, where their next Don Box is located.
[End Description]
All the teams begin making their way towards the CN Tower. When they arrive, they make their way towards the Don Box, press the button on top, and receive their next tips.
Ingrid: (reading the tip) It's an All-In.
Don: Just like last season, an All-In requires both team members to participate in the challenge. For this All-In, teams must enter the CN Tower and find their next clue hidden inside. The trick? The clue in split in half. On the front is the teams' portrait, and on the back is a riddle that'll lead them to their next destination, which they can only read once both team members have found their half of the clue. And another trick is that each team member must find their teammates photo. Once both team members have both pieces of the clue, they can meet up at the observation deck, on the top floor of the CN Tower, where they can read and solve the riddle that'll lead them to their next destination. Yes, it's basically the same challenge as last season. Those that have seen the previous season will have a real advantage over those that didn't. (coughs) The Irken Soldiers. (coughs once more) Sorry, allergies.
Scene shows the teams entering the CN Tower as they begin searching for their next tip. The only team that's in trouble are the Irken Soldiers, due to the fact that they're the only team who wasn't seen a single episode of the previous season.
[Confessional: GIR & Zim]
Zim: I didn't watch the previous season, but I have a reason. You see, I programed GIR to have extensive knowledge by implementing a memory chip into his system. He'll know every tactic, maneuver, and trick to win each challenge, and rule the world. (Zim laughs manically)
GIR: What are we talking about?
Zim: (face palms) The memory chip I put in your head!
GIR: Oh. I left that at home.
Zim: What?
GIR: I did it to make room for this muffin. (pulls a muffin out of his head. Zim screams in blind rage, which is cut off by the camera going to static)
[End Confessional]
Scene switches to Fillmore's location where we see him searching for Ingrid's photograph. Fillmore then looks out the window to admire the view.
Fillmore: Dawg, that's a heck of a view. (he then looks up and spots something in the reflection of the window. He turns around and finds Ingrid's photo on the wall behind him) Disco. (retrieves the photo. Once he's gotten the photo, his walkie erupts in static, with Ingrid talking on the other end. We then get a split screen of Fillmore and Ingrid talking on their walkies. We see their both leaning up against a back)
Ingrid: Fillmore, you there?
Fillmore: (answering the walkie) Yeah. How's your progress?
Ingrid: I found you portrait. It was located inside a loose brick in the wall. How's your progress?
Fillmore: I got it.
Ingrid: Cool. See you at the top of the tower. (they turn off their walkie talkies and proceed towards the observation deck. Through split screen, Fillmore & Ingrid climb several flights of stairs and take the elevator. Eventually, they arrive at the observation deck, and turn towards each other. However, the split screen is still present, which they notice) Um, could someone remove that? (a crew member appears and removes a pole from the front of the screen, before proceeding off screen) Thank you. (Fillmore & Ingrid then begin trying to solve the riddle)
Fillmore: It says:
I'm something that flies high in the sky,
And takes you to places that you want to go.
Come and find where I'm located,
And purchase two tickets to Morocco.
Ingrid: (immediately comes up with the answer) Airplane.
Don: (appearing out of nowhere) Correct. Now you may take the zipline with your picture on it towards the airport located across the lake. When you arrive at the airport, you must purchase tickets to your next destination: Morocco.
Fillmore: Let's go, Ingrid. (the Safety Patrollers take the zipline with their picture on it and proceed towards the airport)
Don: With one team already having managed to find their clue, the pressure begins to mount on the rest of the teams.
Scene switches between team members trying to find their clue. Dudley's sniffing around and begins digging, but accidentally buries himself; Agent K is repelling from the ceiling, with Mabel appearing right behind her, much to her shock; Atlanta is running around look for Archie's picture, which is advantageous for her, due to her speed; and Stan looking for Ford's picture. We focus in on Stan.
Stan: Man, it's gonna take an insane amount of luck to find his portrait, given the fact that he probably doesn't have any current photos of him. (thinks about something for a moment) Huh, I guess there is a plus side to being in an alternate dimension. The police can't find you. (he then walks by a door which leads to an office. As he passes by the office door, he hears murmurs from the other side. He begins listening in, but he can't make it out, except for one phrase: "My Plan to Win the Race." He begins turning the knob, then a bright flash occurs from inside the room, momentarily blinding him. He then enters the room and sees tons of papers on the ground and flying all over the place, but no traces of any life forms) Who'd make such a mess? (as he's walking around, something catches his eye. A photograph of Ford on the wall) Hey, there's the photograph. (he walks over to it, takes it off the wall, and turns it over, expecting to find writing on the back. However, he sees nothing) What the? Isn't there supposed to be writing on here? This'd better not be a trick to get Ford & I eliminated in the first episode. (he then steps on a paper and looks down. Much to his surprise, it's another photo of Ford) Another one? (he turns it over and finds writing written on the back of it) Wait. Two photos of the same person, but one has writing, the other doesn't. (he then begins noticing several pictures of everyone who has competed on or is competing in The Ridonculous Race: Cartoon Crossover. He's shocked beyond all belief) What the…
Ford: (standing in the doorway) Stan. (jumps up onto a table in freight. He then groans in annoyance when he sees who it is and gets down from the table)
Stan: Don't scare me like that.
Ford: Sorry. (approaches Stan) What are you doing in here?
Stan: Well, I was looking for you picture… (holds up the picture) And I found it.
Ford: Great. I found yours underneath a loose stair tile. (holds up Stan's picture) Let's go.
Stan: Before you do, you may look at this. (Stan holds up another photo of Ford)
Ford: Wait? Is that another photo of me?
Stan: Yep. But look on the back. (Ford turns his photo over and sees nothing. He then looks at the back of the photo Stan's holding and sees it has writing on it)
Ford: Did Don create copies to confuse and trick us?
Stan: I don't think so. Look around. (Ford looks around and sees the photos of everyone)
Ford: What is this?
Stan: I don't know. But if Don really made several false copies of the teams' photos, he would've scattered them all over the place rather than put them all in one room.
Ford: Hmm, this could be a part of something much bigger than you and I can ever imagine.
Stan: You're right. We have to warn the other teams.
Ford: Not yet. If we do, whoever put these up could target us for elimination.
Stan: Okay. But we'll need to find some allies. That way, we can take the bad guys head on. (Ford nods then begin to exit when Stan stops for a moment) Hold on. (he takes several pictures of the photographs) Just as a precaution in order to preserve the evidence. (he & Ford then exit the office) Alright, let's get going. (they begin making their way up towards the observation deck)
As they race up top, a security cam follows there movements. We then cut to the security room where we see the officer is bound and gagged as an unknown watches the teams from the monitors, namely Stan & Ford.
Unknown Individual: Let it begin.
Scene switches to Kitty crawling through the air ducts, looking for Dudley's photo. As she does, she comes across Agent K, across crawling through the air ducts looking for Dick's photo. When they see each other, they pull their blasters and aim at each other.
Kitty: You better turn around, friend. I called dibs on the air vents.
Agent K: It's a free country. I can search the air vents if I want.
They aim their projectiles at each other for a little while before they realize something.
Kitty: This is stupid. I mean, we're both trying to achieve the same objective.
Agent K: Precisely. (they then hear an explosion and we hear a male screaming)
Kitty: What was that? (they look through the air ducts and see Dick Daring doing some insane stunt)
Agent K: That's just my husband. He's a crazy man-child who constantly gets himself into dangerous situations. Even when he does something stupid, I still care about him and love him.
Kitty: Same with Dudley and I, minus the love part. He can be annoying, but at the end of the day, he's still my partner and we still look out for each other, no matter the circumstance.
Agent K: You and I are a lot alike. Perhaps if we team up and form an alliance, we may have a better chance at winning the prize.
Kitty: Alright. Let's do it. (they shake hands) Two secret agents from different factions working together. This is monumental. This is historic. This is something the air ducts can't support. (the air duct breaks and they fall down onto a bench. A piece of paper flies down from the ducts and lands on Agent K's face. When she removes it, she sees it's Dick Daring's face)
Agent K: Well, that's fortunate.
Kitty: (feels something underneath the bench cushion and pulls out Dudley's photo) Yes. Yes it is.
Agent K: I'll check on my husband, see if he's gotten into any trouble. (she leaves)
Kitty: I'd better check on Dudley. (looks down and notices her wrist com is missing) Okay, where's my wrist com)
Scene switches to Dudley managing to dig himself out of the hole he dug himself into, along with Kitty's wrist com and photo.
Dudley: Hey I found Kitty's photo and wrist com. (he answers his wrist com) Kitty!
Kitty's Wrist Com: (echoes his voice) Kitty!
Dudley: It's Dudley!
Kitty's Wrist Com: It's Dudley!
Dudley: I've found your wrist com.
Kitty's Wrist Com: I've found your wrist com.
Dudley: And your photo.
Kitty's Wrist Com: And your photo.
Dudley: You're welcome.
Kitty's Wrist Com: You're welcome. (he then proceeds to make his way up towards the observation deck)
Scene switches to Lucy, who's looking for Haiku's picture. She then hears something behind him and turns around to see Reaper phasing through a wall with Widowmaker's picture in hand. Lucy gasps in admiration.
Reaper: (looks at her, confused) What?
Lucy: Mighty lord, death. I pledge my allegiance to you.
Reaper: Pardon?
Lucy: I will do anything to please the dark lord. I will gladly die or kill others if it meant I could join you in paving the way for a world of darkness and despair.
Reaper: Hmm, anything you say. (laughs sinisterly) My child. You me in an alliance of darkness, and I guarantee we'll make it far. But you'll have to swear your allegiance to me. Promise?
Lucy: Promise.
Reaper: Good. Now go tell your teammate about our meeting, and convince her to join as well.
Lucy: That won't be hard, master. (she leaves)
Widowmaker: (on the other end of the com link) Reaper, you there?
Reaper: Yes. What's your status?
Widowmaker: I found your picture. It was located on the ceiling the lobby. How's your progress?
Reaper: I found your picture. It was hidden inside the walls.
Widowmaker: Quite the foolish place to put it, given your condition.
Reaper: Also, I have a new development. The Goths believe me to be the Grim Reaper, and they've pledged their allegiance to serve me. They'll do anything I tell them. They'll even kill others, or die trying.
We cut to Widowmaker's location, where we see her walking down a hallway.
Widowmaker: Interesting. That may be very useful.
Reaper: (on the other end of the com link) Indeed. I'll meet you at the observation deck. Be prepared.
Widowmaker: See you there. (she logs off. As she walks down the hallway, she spots Pharah's picture and walks towards it) Such a shame, but it must be done. (she takes it off the wall) If we're to proceed, we may have to do some… foul play. (she's about to tear it in half when she's hit from behind by Ana's Sleep Dart. Ana walks up to her limp body and picks up Pharah's picture)
Ana: Thank you for guiding me to my daughter's picture, Amélie.
Widowmaker: Ana? But you're supposed to be dead. I shot you through the eye.
Ana: No. You shot me in the eye. (shows Widowmaker her empty eye socket) My cybernetic eye stopped the bullet from entering my brain. Though, in some ways, that event helped me, as it protected myself and my daughter.
Widowmaker: You will never defeat us.
Ana: Anything's possible, particularly when you have enough allies in battle. (she begins to leave when Reaper answers Widowmaker's com link)
Reaper: Widowmaker, I'm at the observation deck. Where are you? (Ana walks over and puts the com link in her ear)
Ana: She's taking a little nap, Reyes. (split screen appears)
Reaper: Ana. If you think this'll cost us the competition, you're gravely mistaken. (Ana begins chuckling)
Ana: And here I thought you'd lost your sense of humor.
Reaper: I wasn't trying to make it funny. That was a threat. I promise you this: by the end of the competition, only myself and Widowmaker will be left standing.
Ana: You can try, but you won't succeed, Reyes.
Reaper: My name is Reaper. And you will fall, as will everyone that allies with you and your daughter. Which reminds me, she'll be the first to go, and you'll have to watch it all. (he laughs sinisterly. Ana then removes the com link and destroys it. Pharah then comes onto the scene)
Pharah: Mom, what happened?
Ana: (turns around to face her) Widowmaker tried to destroy your photo, but I managed to save it.
Pharah: Good job. (sees Widowmaker's limp body) Nice try. The heart of a falcon resides with in us. A falcon is noble, while a spider is sneaky. And being a noble, kind individual, is better than being a sneaky, murderous assassin. We will triumph.
Widowmaker: We shall see.
Pharah: (to Ana) Let's go to the observation deck. I have your picture, so we can solve the riddle.
Ana: Well done, Fareeha. Let's go. (they proceed towards the observation deck)
Scene switches to the observation deck where we see Stan & Ford, Dudley & Kitty, and Ana & Pharah arrive and overlook the riddles. And three teams solve it and proceed down the zip line towards the airport on the other side of the lake. We then switch between team members finding their teammates' pictures. Jonny 2x4 uses Plank as a detector to locate Rolf's picture; Rolf discovers Jonny 2x4's picture hidden underneath the floorboards; Stewie finds Brain's picture by using a tracking device; and Brain finds Stewie's picture by pure happenstance when a ceiling tile with Stewie's picture on it falls on his head. After a while, Widowmaker comes out of her paralyzed state and heads up towards the observation deck to meet up with Reaper. Agent K also helps Dick Daring locate her photo, allowing for them to proceed towards the observation deck. Eventually, Reaper & Widowmaker, Agent K & Dick Daring, Jonny 2x4 & Rolf, and Brian & Stewie meet up, solve the riddle, and go down the zip lines towards the airport. They all enter and proceed to purchase tickets to Morocco.
Agent K: Two ticket to Morocco, my good man. And be quick about it.
Customer Service Agent: (gives them their tickets) Congrats. You're the last team on flight #1.
Dick Daring: Well that's fortunate. I wonder who else is on this flight?
Don: (appears out of nowhere) I can answer that. (this startles Agent K & Dick Daring, the former of whom gets into a defensive position while aiming a weapon of sorts, intimidating Don) But first, do you mind pointing that away from my face? (Dick lowers his wife's weapon, trying to avoid a conflict) Thank you. (scene switches between the teams as he's announcing them) Teams on flight #1 are Agent K & Dick Daring, Ana & Pharah, Brain & Stewie, Dudley & Kitty, Fillmore & Ingrid, Jonny 2x4 & Rolf, Reaper & Widowmaker, and Stan & Ford
[Confessional: Jonny 2x4 & Rolf]
Jonny 2x4: Gee, we're lucky to be on the first flight, huh Plank? (Plank says nothing as usual)
Rolf: Yes, Jonny Wood Boy. This'll show everyone and their feeble mindsets that we'll triumph over all of them. And they think they can best us? Amateurs I tell you!
Jonny 2x4: (to Plank) I don't get it either, Plank.
[End Confessional]
Scene shows the top 8 teams getting onto the 1st flight to Morocco. Once they're onboard, they begin making their way towards their next destination.
Don: With that, our top 8 teams are in the air and on their way to Morocco. In the meantime, let's check in with the other teams, shall we?
Scene switches back to the CN Tower where we see the teams still searching for their teammate's picture. Eventually, thanks to her speed, Atlanta manages to find Archie's picture hidden behind a portrait of the Greek hero, Achilles.
Atlanta: Devilishly clever, Don. (takes the photo and begins running towards the observation deck)
We then switch over to Archie's location, who's found Atlanta's picture behind a portrait of the Greek hero, Atalanta.
Archie: (chuckles) Don, you know your history. (he retrieves the photo from behind the portrait and begins making his way towards the observation deck)
Scene switches to the observation deck where we see Archie & Atlanta meet up.
Atlanta: Alright. Let's get down the business. (they're about to solve the riddle when they hear an explosion)
Archie: That can't be good. (they enter the elevator and descend. When they exit the elevator, they discover everyone in a state of panic) What's happening?
Marco: The building's collapsing.
Archie: Again? You'd think they would've learned from last season.
Jen: How does this keep happening? (everyone turns towards Demoman)
Demoman: Don't look at me. If I learned anything from Junkrat's actions in the previous season, I know not to use explosives indoors.
Herry: (sheepish) Um, actually, that was my bad.
Theresa: What did you do Herry?
Herry: I was searching for Odie's photo, and thinking it may've been hidden in the wall, I punched through it. Turns out, I accidentally punched through a load-bearing wall.
Jay: Well that's not good.
Dipper: Run for the exit! (everyone begins running towards the exit)
Scene switches to the 1st flight where we see the teams lounging and enjoying each other's company. That's when Ingrid pulls up the news.
Ingrid: Uh, guys, you may want to see this. (the teams surround her and Fillmore and see what's going on the news)
News Reporter: For the 2nd time in two years, the CN Tower has suffered destruction at the hands of an explosive maniac. We believe there are people who're still inside, but don't worry, they'll probably be saved by someone. Namely someone wearing metallic armor.
Dudley: (we're given a closeup of his face) Oh no. This is awful!
Kitty: (off screen) Dudley, you're not even watching the news. (camera zooms out to show he's still in his seat, talking to a stewardess, while everyone else is watching the news)
Dudley: Yeah, because it's boring. I'm talking about the fact that they're out of peanuts. (pulls the stewardess close to him in distress) How could you people run out of peanuts?! (Kitty rolls her eyes before turning back towards the news)
Dick Daring: I hope they all make it out of there. I doubt Don would want a competition of pancakes.
Ana: Don't worry. The news reporter said that someone in metallic armor would save them, and I know that Genji will save them.
Scene switches back to the CN Tower where we see Genji & Atlanta guiding the teams to safety, with Genji using his sword to destroy falling debris and Atlanta grabbing those that are falling behind. Eventually, they reach the exit, but it's blocked by some falling debris.
Jude: Dudes, I don't like this.
Jonesy: I don't wanna die. I haven't even made it to the big time yet.
Genji: We won't die. (activates his ultimate ability) Ryujin no ken wo kurae! (slices the debris in half as if it was just paper)
We switch outside to the reporter, who sees Genji in the doorway.
News Reporter: I was right. (Genji then begins leading everyone out of the building to safety. The reporter approaches him) Excuse me, sir. Do you mind giving this reporter an exclusive interview? (Genji just walks right by) Well that was rude. (an explosion occurred and we see the top half of the building begins falling down) Oh f***.
All the teams look scared. The building's right on top of them when the whole scene freezes. Don then comes onscreen.
Don: We'll just leave it here on a cliffhanger. Makes things more dramatic that way. Anyway, tune in next week to see the outcome of this ordeal on, The Ridonculous Race: Cartoon Crossover.
To Be Continued
Ooo, what's going to happen to our teams? You'll just have to wait till the next chapter to find out. Now so far, we've already gotten a few things to take away from. The alliance between the T.U.F.F. Agents and Married Parents, the unknown figure who has intel on all the teams, and of course, this scene here. Now, I know this is basically the same challenge from last season, but sometimes I like to see what the challenges will be like with a different set of teams. As always, please like and review and I'll see you all next time. This is ZNBT signing off.
