"Marc, wake up." Khonshu ordered.
The man passed out in his apartment awoke already pissed off.
"It is rare to see you all asleep."
Marc sighed, "yeah, well, bodies need sleep. Can't be awake all day every day, it messes with your head. Like my head needs to be more messed with. Why-why did you wake me up?"
"I sense a great danger." The God told his avatar.
"Oh, shit." Marc grabbed a wifebeater and began to put on shoes, "Where?"
"I do not know."
Marc stopped. "You don't know? You woke me up, specifically me, to tell me of some unknown danger?"
"If it is unknown to me then that is strange. You do not appreciate the amount of dread that entails."
"Okay." Marc pinched the bridge of his nose. "Okay, if-if this danger is so big and bad why don't you meet with the Gods again?"
"Might I remind you of the last time I spoke with them?"
Marc nodded. "Right. So, I'm awake. There's a danger… somewhere. What do we do?"
"I don't know."
"Perfect. I'm going back to bed."
Khonshu glared at Marc "But what if the parasite wakes up?"
"Then you tell him of the danger. Who knows, maybe Steven will know more than me. Probably not. But maybe." Marc told the God as he crept back into bed.
"Marc. It is not only I who senses this threat. All Gods have a form of kinship. Even those exiled. It allows us to sense the location of Gods in case of an emergency."
"Built-in GPS. Must be nice." Marc mumbled, putting his head on his pillow.
"It is a nuisance. Some who I normally could feel have gone cold."
This interested Marc enough to get him to sit up in bed. "You can't sense some Gods? What does that mean?"
"It means danger, Marc Spector."
