The Ridonculous Race: Cartoon Crossover
Episode 11: Norway or the Highway

Disclaimer: This episode is based on an episode of The Amazing Race. S6 E2.

Don: Last time, on The Ridonculous Race: Cartoon Crossover! Our teams traveled to the Penn Zero World, where each team was sent to an alternate universe where they each had to complete a separate challenge. During the challenge, we saw a more heroic side of the Talon Mercenaries and the Insane Destructors, and even though they claimed it was an act, the Insane Destructors gained first place. After a cameo appearance from Rick & Morty, they sent a superhero team to assist Bobby & Ronnie Anne in their challenge. Will we meet them again? Only time will tell. In the end, it was Homer's exhaustion and lack of a plentiful supply of donuts and beer, that led to Father & Son's elimination. What surprises and incidents will befall our teams tonight? Find out on this episode of, The Ridonculous Race: Cartoon Crossover.

Cue Theme Song

Don: Welcome back to the Penn Zero World. Starting off this leg of the race is the previous leg's winner, the Insane Destructors. Ready? Go.

Demoman & Pyro step up to the Don Box, pressed the button on top, and received their next tip.

Demoman: Enter one of the dimension cars and proceed into the portal that'll take you towards your next destination. (to Pyro) Move your lazy a** you insane pyromaniac. (Pyro salutes. They then proceed to enter one of the cars as more teams step up to the Don Box, collect their tips, and enter the cars. Once everyone has entered the vehicles, they proceed into the portal towards their next destination)

Don: Car #1 contains the Insane Destructors, T.U.F.F. Agents, Ninjas, and Married Parents; Car #2 contains the Safety Patrollers, Warriors, Monster Fighters, and Brother & Sister; Car #3 contains the Complete Opposites, Weirdos, Slackers, and Best Friends; Car #4 contains the Daters, Talon Mercenaries, Brothers, and Mother & Daughter; and Car #5 contains the Part-Time Heroes and Time Travelers. We've got plenty time to kill, so let's check up on the teams.

Scene switches to the inside of Car #2 where we see the Safety Patrollers silently conversing with each other, as if they're in an argument. Archie & Atlanta notice this and seem concerned.

Archie: Um, Fillmore, Ingrid? (Fillmore & Ingrid turn towards the duo, immediately turning quiet) What's going on?

Fillmore: Sorry about the noise. We were just arguing about a case we're working on back home.

Ingrid: It's nothing serious. We're fine.

Atlanta: Alright. If you say so. (Archie & Atlanta back off. Fillmore & Ingrid then resume their actual conversation)

Ingrid: You think we should tell them about our alliance. I mean, their friends are a part of our alliance, and they have some impressive skills, as demonstrated in the previous challenges, but they seem impulsive, and not level-headed as the Daters or the Complete Opposites.

Fillmore: I understand. But if we can calm their competitive attitude and ensure they have some level of control, they could help us.

Ingrid: But Odie we can't tell anyone, or else they'll be targeted for elimination.

Fillmore: True. But, if we get more muscle and cunning on our side, Reaper & Widowmaker will have a harder time picking us off one by one.

Ingrid: Okay, but we need to consult the others before we do that.

Fillmore: Deal.

Scene shows a portal opening up and the cars exiting said portal and landing in the snow next to a large ski jump over a freezing lake. The teams exit the vehicles and begin observing their surroundings.

Marco: (shivering) Did someone leave a window open?

Dick Daring: (shivering) Where are we?

Cavendish: (looking over his quantum localizer) It says here we're in Norway.

Theresa: Norway?

[Place Description]
Don: Norway. A Scandinavian country encompassing mountains, glaciers, and deep coastal fjords. Now that the teams have arrive in Norway's capital, Oslo, they'll find the next Don Box located near the base of the Holmenkollen Ski Jump.
[End Description]

Scene shows the teams quickly making their way towards the Don Box and collecting their tips.

Jude: (reading the tip) It's a Botch or Watch, dudes.

Don: For this Botch or Watch, whoever didn't perform gymnastics in Romania must participate in a famous sport from Norway: Ski Jumping. The team member participating must make their way to the top of the ski jump, change into their winter clothing, and proceed to ski down the jump, usually ending with a speed of 105 kilometers per hour, before flying off at the end and landing on the other side of the lake, which contains freezing cold water. If they successfully land on the target, they'll receive their next tip. However, if they miss the target or fall in the freezing cold water, they'll have to go back to the top of the jump and try again.

Scene shows the team members participating in the challenge making their way to the top of the ski jump and preparing themselves to begin the challenge. The team members participating in the challenge are Demoman, Dudley, Hanzo, Dick Daring, Fillmore, Atlanta, Star, Ronnie Anne, Herry, Rolf, Jude, Jen, Jay, Widowmaker, Stan, Pharah, Sashi, and Dakota. Once they get to the top of the ski jump, they get suited up and ready to begin their jump. Jude's about to put on his skis when he spots some snowboards leaning against a pole.

Jude: (to the instructor) Are the boards available?

We then cut to Demoman noticing Dudley isn't putting anything on.

Demoman: Aren't you freezing?

Dudley: Of course. But I have a strict "No Pants Policy". It ensures maximum mobility, and it feels good on the breeze. (bends down to pick something up, showing his butt to Demoman, causing him to scream and cover his eyes)

Demoman: Must… wash… eyes. (he then begins sliding down the ski jump as dangerous speeds) Uh oh. Alright, don't panic. Remember what Don said. (a thought bubble of Don appears)

Don: If you get into trouble, remember to… (the thought bubble of Don is replaced by a thought bubble of Dudley's a**)

Dudley: It feels good on the breeze. It feels good on the breeze. It feels good on the breeze. (we get a close up each time Dudley says this phrase, causing Demoman to cringe in disgust)

Demoman: Stupid pantless dog. (his legs then spread apart in an awkward and painful position, doing a near splits) Ow, my crotch! This is the worst pain I've ever felt. (several snowbanks hit him in the groin several times; high-pitched, while shedding a tear) Correction. (he then flies into the air, screaming the whole way through, but somehow manages to land on the other side) Well, that was lucky. Does anyone have any ice? (looks over at their location) Sorry, stupid question. (a ski instructor gives him an ice pack and a tip) Thank you. (reading the tip) Make your way towards Oslo's Viking Ship Museum, home to Norway's 9th Century ships and history. Once you arrive, you will find the next clue located inside, in the center of the building preserving some of the world's oldest ships. Shall we? (he & Pyro get into a cab and proceed towards the museum)

Scene switches back to the top of the ski jump where we see the teams waiting for start of the challenge. We get a close up of everyone's face as the light turns from red… to yellow… and eventually… green. And as fast as lightning, they ski down the jump at tremendous speeds, breaking the sound barrier. And no one's enjoying more than Jude, due to the fact that he's using a snowboard instead of skis.

Jude: Wahoo! (does a multitude of tricks) Yeehaw! Yippee-Ki-Yay Mother****ers! (everyone (except for the Talon Mercenaries) cheer Jude on, especially Jonesy)

Jonesy: (whistling with his fingers in celebration) Go Jude!

Soon, all the teams get propelled skyward when they reach the end of the jump, beginning to soar over the water. As they're flying through the air, Dudley, Dick Daring, Star, Ronnie Anne, Herry, Jay, Rolf, Stan, and Dakota lose altitude and fall into the freezing cold water, while Hanzo, Fillmore, Atlanta, Jude, Jen, Widowmaker, Pharah (with help from her boosters), and Sashi manage to land on the other side of the lake.

Nikki: Good job, Jen.

Jen: I knew those trips to Whistler would pay off.

Archie: That was awesome. Man, I'm jealous.

Atlanta: You should be. That was incredible.

Jonesy: Where'd you learn how to do that, Jude?

Jude: (shrugs) Riding a snowboard is basically just like riding a skateboard, except there's no wheels, and I'm skating on snow as opposed to stone. Good thing I worked on the Zamboni for a while, so I know the ice like the back of my hand. (looks at the back of his hand when he notices something) Where did that scar come from?

Jonesy: (looking at the back of Jude's hand) That's from the time you wiped out and hit the metal stair railings.

Jude: Oh yeah. I remember now, just about. That turned into a long day.

Jonesy: I'd never seen Ron so furious before. (a local arrives and gives everyone their next tip)

Fillmore: Let's go.

The teams that completed the challenge begin making their way towards the Viking Ship Museum. When they leave, the remaining team members emerge from the water, shivering.

Herry: P-P-Please tell m-me y-you h-h-have a sp-spare blanket a-and some h-h-hot c-c-cocoa.

Soon, the team members are given the proper heated materials in order to warm themselves up so they're ready for another go around.

Scene switches to Oslo's Viking Ship Museum where we see Demoman & Pyro have arrived. They enter the building and begin admiring some of the ships preserved in this palace of the past.

Demoman: Just think, Pyro. Over a thousand years ago, these ships were used to battle the current and pillage every village the Vikings came across. That's something to aspire to. (Pyro nods. He then notices the Don Box and makes his way towards it. He's about to press it when he notices a mural of the Vikings pillaging and destroying a village, burning the place to the ground, stealing every gold piece in the vicinity. Demoman follows Pyro's gaze and looks up at the mural, smiling) Now that is a piece of beauty. (notices the Don Box and collects a tip) It's a Superteam challenge.

Don: For this Superteam challenge, three teams must team up and work together in order to row one of the Viking Ships across a Fjord to reach the Don Box on the other side.

Demoman: Great. We had a lead and we lost it. Looks like we have to wait for two more teams to show up. (not long after he says this, several teams arrive and collect a tip from the Don Box) Well that quicker than I expected. (to Pyro) If that dog and his cat partner are hear, let's our best to avoid them, and possibly find a way to eliminate them.

Soon, the Superteams are formed. Superteam #1 consists of the Slackers, Part-Time Heroes, and Best Friends; Superteam #2 consists of the Safety Patrollers, Ninjas, and Mother & Daughter; and Superteam #3 consists of the Insane Destructors, Talon Mercenaries, and Warriors. Although technically, the Warriors only joined with the bad guys because of their competitive gene and how there were no other options than to partner up with the bad guys. Soon, the three superteams enter the Viking boats and begin rowing across the fjord towards the next Don Box. During the crossing, it appears as though Superteams #1 & #2 are doing well and keeping good rhythm.

Jen: We heave, you ho. Got it?

Sashi: Got it.

Jen: Heave.

Sashi: Ho.

Nikki: Heave.

Penn: Ho.

Jonesy: Heave.

Jude: Ho.

Ana: Alright, keep in rhythm. Stroke; stroke; stroke; stroke… (she continues saying this, allowing for the others to stroke when needed, giving them to ability to cross the fjord in perfect timing)

However, it appears that Superteam #3 is having difficulty with the challenge, due to the Talon Mercenaries and Insane Destructors' constant arguing.

Reaper: You're out of sync. We need to be in perfect rhythm.

Demoman: Then let me be the captain. I already have an advantage over you. I'm wearing an eyepatch.

Widowmaker: Yes. And you'll soon have two eyepatches if you don't shut up and do as you're told.

Demoman: Don't tempt me, lady. I'll whack out that head full of eyeballs. (Pyro mumbles something under his mask, which sounds like an agreement)

We then cut to Archie & Atlanta, who are looking simultaneously annoyed and bored at the Talon Mercenaries and Insane Destructors' bickering.

Atlanta: Oh brother. If they keep this up, we'll be here all day.

Archie: And to think they're in an alliance. (they slyly smile)

[Confessional: Archie & Atlanta]
Archie: Yeah, we know about their alliance. It was obvious from the beginning they'd be working together.
Atlanta: Yeah, I mean, they're this season's antagonists. Of course they were gonna team up.
[End Confessional]

Archie: Atlanta, let's help them out, just this once.

Atlanta: Why?

Archie: Because if we don't help them, we'll be in danger of elimination.

Atlanta: Oh right, good point. (Atlanta dives into the water and, using her speed, begins pushing the boat towards the other side of the fjord. Humorously enough, the villains don't seem to notice)

Soon, all three ships set up port upon the other side of the fjord, leading to the teams to race towards the Don Box. However, the bad guys still haven't noticed they've docked.

Archie: Should we tell them?

Atlanta: Why would we? If we get rid of at least one of them, we may have a chance at ending their plan before it begins.

Archie: Good point. Anyway, what's the challenge. (Atlanta steps up to the Don Box and collects a tip)

Atlanta: It's an Either Or. Endurance or Accuracy.

Don: For this Either Or, teams must choose between two common activities in Norway. Their choice: Endurance or Accuracy. In Endurance, teams have to roller ski down a 1.75-mile course, maneuvering through several obstacles and poles. (tries to maneuver around the poles, but ends up losing his balance and falling over, due to how tricky it is to stand upright using said skis) Thankfully, if they fall over, they don't have to start at the very beginning. In Accuracy, teams must successfully complete three traditional Viking games. First, both team members must win Kubb, a lawn game where the objective is to knock over wooden blocks by throwing wooden batons at them. (performs the game, where he manages to knock over the blocks) Kind of a cross between bowling and horseshoes. Then, one team member must throw an axe into a tree trunk… (throws an axe into a tree trunk, which manages to stick) and make it stick. Lastly, the other team member must perform Archery, in which they must shoot an arrow into a target 30 feet away. (draws his bow back and lets the arrow fly, managing to get it to land in the center of the target) Once they've completed either task, they must make their way… (scene switches to the Chill Zone) to the Chill Zone. The last team to arrive, may be cut from the race.

Scene shows the top seven teams proceeding towards the Either Or, leaving the Talon Mercenaries and Insane Destructors to continue their argument. Scene switches back to the ski jump where we see Dudley, Dick Daring, Star, Ronnie Anne, Herry, Jay, Rolf, Stan, and Dakota trying once more to complete the challenge and land on the other side of the lake. This time around, Dick, Star, Ronnie Anne, Herry, Jay, and Rolf manage to reach the other side of the lake, while Dudley, Stan, and Dakota fall into the lake once more. Once, the Married Parents, Monster Fighters, Brother & Sister, Complete Opposites, Daters, and Weirdos collect their tips and leave, Dudley, Stan, & Dakota exit the river and proceed to warm themselves up for the next go around.

Kitty: You know Dudley, you'd be much better suited to the environment if you wore pants.

Dudley: HOW DARE YOU, WOMAN! I'm perfectly fine. (a cool breeze occurs, freezing him into an ice block, causing him to fall over)

Dakota: You were saying? Ooo, ice cream.

Cavendish: Really, now?

Dakota: What, it's gonna be awhile before we can go again. Besides, it keeps me calm.

Ford: (motions for Cavendish & Dakota to join him & Stan) Look, I know I shouldn't be saying this, but I think that, in order for the alliance to survive, we may have to lose some… (clears his throat) dead weight. (points towards Dudley & Kitty)

Stan: (shrugs) No skin off my bones. Let's do it.

Cavendish: I wasn't a big fan of them myself. They always freaked out.

Dakota: No duh. One's a talking cat and the other's a talking dog. They're unnatural. Of course they're going to creep you out.

Stan: Alright. Let's do this.

We cut to Stan, Dudley, & Dakota arriving at the top of the ski jump. When the light turns green, they begin skiing down the jump, before propelling themselves off, and all three of them manage to land on the other side of the lake.

Dudley: Yes, we did it! (a local gives him a tip. However, his face falls when he sees where they're going) A museum? (groans) What did we do wrong?

Kitty: Come on, Dudley. Let's go to the museum.

Dudley: I wish I could. But I… accidentally chained myself to this giant anchor. (the screen pans out to show Dudley has indeed chained himself to a giant anchor. Kitty then uses her blaster to destroy the chains, freeing Dudley. Dudley groans in annoyance, knowing his plan failed) Fine! Let's go. (they leave)

Scene switches to the Viking Museum where we see the Married Parents, Monster Fighters, Brother & Sister, Complete Opposites, Daters, and Weirdos arrive and collect their next tips. They then proceed to form their Superteams. Superteam #4 consists of the Married Parents, Monster Fighters, and Weirdos; Superteam #5 consists of the Complete Opposites, Daters, and Brother & Sister. Soon, they begin rowing across the fjord towards the other side in order to reach the Don Box. Fortunately, both of them are in rhythm.

Agent K: Alright, on my mark. Starboard, stroke; Port, stroke; Starboard, stroke; Port, stroke… (they manage to do this in timed unison, resulting in their quick finish)

Scene switches to the villains, who are still arguing, until they notice the other teams arriving. They then stop their arguing and realized they've wasted valuable time because of their argument.

Demoman: We gotta move. Now! (they quickly head over towards the Don Box and collect their tips. They then head towards the Either Or just as the Married Parents, Monster Fighters, Brother & Sister, Complete Opposites, Daters, and Weirdos dock their ships and collect their tips)

Scene switches to the Either Or where we see the top 15 teams have made their choice. The Slackers, Brother & Sister, and Weirdos have chosen Endurance, while the Part-Time Heroes, Best Friends, Safety Patrollers, Ninjas, Mother & Daughter, Insane Destructors, Talon Mercenaries, Warriors, Married Parents, Monster Fighters, Complete Opposites, and Daters have chosen Accuracy. Each team proceeds towards their respective destinations and challenges. Due to the majority of the teams having impeccable aim, precision, and marksmanship, they manage to get through the Viking games quickly and easily.

We see Archie & Atlanta throw their batons at the blocks, knocking them over, allowing them to move on. We then see Herry, with all his strength and gusto, throw his axe straight through a tree trunk into the trunk of another tree.

Herry: Whoa. Maybe I should dial it back a bit.

And lastly, we see Hanzo drawing his bow back and keeping his eye on the target, managing to hit the target directly in the center. Which would be impressive in of itself, but Hanzo didn't just hit the target from thirty feet away… he hit the target from sixty feet away.

Hanzo: I am a skill archer. This challenge was made for me. (to Genji) Let's get moving, shall we? (they proceed to race towards the mat)

Not long after, the Part-Time Heroes, Safety Patrollers, Mother & Daughter, Warriors, Married Parents, Monster Fighters, Complete Opposites, and Daters complete the challenge and race towards the Chill Zone. Scene switches to the Chill Zone where we see the Ninjas arrive and check in.

Don: Hanzo & Genji. You're team #1. (they cheer and bow to Don)

Genji: We thank you for this honor.

Don: (weirded out) Uh, you're welcome? (notices more teams come on) Oh thank god. Uh, more teams are coming. Move along. (the Ninjas comply. They leave, and more teams step onto the mat) Archie & Atlanta 2nd! Ana & Pharah 3rd!

4th! [Fillmore & Ingrid]
5th! [Star & Marco]
6th! [Jay & Theresa]
7th! [Penn & Sashi]
8th! [Herry & Odie]
9th! [Agent K & Dick Daring]

Don: With half the positions gone, the rest are burning daylight in order to catch up.

Scene switches to the Either Or where we see the Slackers, Weirdos, and Brother & Sister continuing with the Endurance side of the Either Or. However, it appears Jonesy, Bobby, & Ronnie Anne are having trouble while Jude, Jonny 2x4, & Rolf seem to have it nailed.

Jonesy: How are they so good at that?

Ronnie Anne: Beats me. I ride skateboards for a living, and I can barely keep my balance on these things.

Bobby: I'm just glad Lori isn't here to make a fool out of myself.

Soon, the Weirdos and Jude complete the challenge, prompting the latter to wait for Jonesy while the Weirdos proceed towards the Chill Zone. Scene shows Jonny 2x4 & Rolf checking in.

Don: 10th place. Well done. (they cheer)

Scene switches to the Don Box on the edge of the fjord and we see the T.U.F.F. Agents, Brothers, and Time Travelers dock and collect their tips from the Don Box. They then proceed to begin with the challenge. The Time Travelers and Brother choose Endurance while the T.U.F.F. Agents choose Accuracy. Scene switches to Endurance where we see Jonesy and Brother & Sister complete the challenge. They then proceed towards the Chill Zone.

Don: Slackers 11th, Brother & Sister 12th. (they cheer and congratulate each other)

Scene switches to Accuracy where we see the Best Friends, Talon Mercenaries, and Insane Destructors finishing off the archer challenge and proceeding towards the Chill Zone.

Don: Best Friends 13th, Talon Mercenaries 14th, Insane Destructors 15th. (to the camera) We're the bottom three teams. It's crutch time now. The teams will have to put their noses to the grindstone if they wish to continue in the competition.

We cut to the Brothers and Time Travelers trying their best with the Endurance challenge, but they're failing miserably at it. More often than not, they keep falling over, flat on their butts. Or, in the Time Travelers', flat on their faces.

[Solo Confessional: Dakota]
Dakota: Yeah. Let's just say balance isn't one of our strong suits, given the fact that Cavendish has little meat on his body, and I have way to much meat on mine. We need to start hitting the gym at the Time Bureau.
[End Confessional]

We then cut to the Accuracy challenge where we see Dudley & Kitty managing to complete all three Viking games thanks to Kitty's skill and Dudley's dumb luck. They then race towards the Chill Zone. Scene switches towards the Chill Zone where we see the Brothers and the Time Travelers are making slow and steady progress. Although, they have Don in their sights. However, due to their lack of skill when trying to use their skis, Dudley & Kitty manage to squeak right by them.

Don: Dudley & Kitty, you're in 16th. (they cheer before leaving the mat) It'll be a close race. Who'll take the final spot? (after some time, both teams manage to complete the challenge and begin racing towards the Chill Zone. Dakota leaps into a slow-motion dramatic dive and lands just short of the Chill Zone, allowing for Ford & Stan to bypass them)

Dakota: Wow. I really miscalculated that.

Don: Indeed. Ford & Stan take 17th.

Stan: (wipes his brow in relief) Phew. That was close.

Ford: Sorry it had to end this way guys. (proceeds to shake Cavendish's hand)

Don: Well, what if I told you it wasn't the end? (they all look confused) That's right. This is a non-elimination leg! You're still in the race! Congratulations! (they cheer at the fact that Cavendish & Dakota live to fight another day)

[Confessional: Cavendish & Dakota]
Cavendish: Ha ha. Our luck a prevailed once more.
Dakota: Yep. We're going to prove to everyone that we are a force to be reckoned with.
Cavendish: Indeed. Hopefully, this'll allow everyone to see that we're not just a bunch of screw ups.
Dakota: We're ready, we're willing, and we're going to win that money. (they fist bump)
[End Confessional]

Don: Where in the multiverse will we go next? Shanghai? New York? Kansas? No wait, Kansas has been recently ravaged by an earthquake. Let's not do Kansas. Anyway, tune in next week to see what thrills, chills, and spills will occur next time on, The Ridonculous Race: Cartoon Crossover.

Hey everybody. Now, concerning the elephant in the room, I'm sorry for being away for so long. I've had a long on a plate I needed to get done. I had several back-to-back play performances, a rock concert, and a major choir concert all in the span of 4 weeks. I wasn't able to do this like I wanted to, so I apologize for having been away for so long. Hopefully, this chapter more than makes up for my absence. Now, given the fact that I don't have much to say about the chapter, I'm just going to say that the reason why I didn't eliminate Cavendish & Dakota is because I have somethings planned for them, so just be aware that. Well, that's all for now. As usual, please like and review and guess the references and I'll see you all next time. Ha det bra.
