Right this one is pretty mighty in terms of content. I'm sorry for piling it in here but it should be worth it. This is where we start to get to the decisive end of part of this story. Some of the small stuff that's been littered in the story will get major pay offs in the next two chapters so keep an eye out because there might be stuff you've missed.

Anyway I hope you enjoy. Just a heads up though that the next chapter is even longer than this so you've been warned.

Day Advent: Re-Birth

-Yesterday-

"Considering the situation, I'm not sure calling the Tokyo police would be a good idea. I'm not sure how we could explain this one." Mitsuru looked at Naoto, her expression showing agreement

"You are correct. I also don't think he came here on his own accord either. He's probably nothing more than a puppet in this situation." The Sleuth crossed her arms, looking at the relative mess in the room, nothing that shouldn't be sorted within an hour but it's the last thing she needed when she was already sleep deprived and had her boyfriend to save.

"Couldn't your company take him momentarily?"

"That's a good idea. I can get people in the local Kirijo office to contain him for now and once he seems all clear we can let him go." Naoto nodded. The both picked him up and sat him against the wall. For safety Naoto handcuffed him just in case whatever took him over clutched his consciousness again.

"This is not exactly what I had in mind for my evening but when Marie told me I should prepare for anything, she was being serious."

Picking up the kettle from the floor, the head of the Shadow Operatives could do nothing but laugh. "Originally when I came here I thought it was something we could sort out relatively quickly, but alas like all things in this world nothing is what they seem. I didn't think this would turn into a full blown incident. It's starting to get that way."

Naoto didn't say anything as she started to pick up things off the ground. She sighed looking at some of the things knocked over from scuffle. She noticed all of the documents on the desk in the hotel room, still untouched from before. Whoever wanted those needed them because they couldn't get another set, or would put out their disguise trying to get another form. Also having them all stamped was very hard to do, she knew that Souji always kept his stamp with him just in case something like this arose.

"Is the offer to use your laptop still on the table?"

Naoto nodded, taking a seat back at the desk, tidying up could finish a little later. "Sure, just let me run Souji's electricity usage through the system to monitor it. I would be able to calculate a good time when he disappeared depending on when it goes out."

"Do you know how to get into his account? I'm assuming there won't be much information for you unless you knew his credentials."

Without missing a beat, "You think I don't know his credentials?"

"Fair enough,"

Within moments Naoto was on his account as she checked the last time his bill was paid and checked the meter of power usage. Double checking with her notes she noticed that from two days ago the amount of power used in his apartment was down by about 70%. Taking a screenshot of the webpage she saved the image and wrote down some notes in her book to make sure she had something in physical form if need be. She needed the point of reference where he went missing. Nodding at that objective finished for now, she turned to Mitsuru who was in the middle of retrieving things from the floor to put them back where they were.

"You can use it now."

"Ah fantastic! I promise I won't interfere with any of your work."

"I'll hold you to that."

Mitsuru fingers worked over time as she accessed the remote systems of the Kirijo Group. She filtered the articles and reports on anything based on the Nyx and Minato since the situation with Tartarus. She frowned as she noticed that some files had been accessed with any reports of the door when it came to the theory of separating the Wild Card from the door. Naoto could see the tension in her face as she started typing faster, moving from the various windows comparing document modification timings over a period of time.

"Why was I not alerted to these?"

Naoto's face started to mirror Mitsuru's concern. "Something the matter?"

The frown deepened, exhaling audibly. "There are files that have been accessed and modified over the course of the past month. While the actual documents themselves are unchanged, the permissions of who can access them have changed multiple times."

"How could that be?"

"I don't know. The thing that is disturbing is that there have been multiple employees who I know that do not have security clearance to access these have. Permissions have been passed down specifically. This is started by someone from inside the company or there has been a breach with someone impersonating multiple people and seemingly all at once."

Naoto walked towards the desk, peering at her screen from behind her. "Could it be the person we are dealing with is capable of all of that?"

"While some of this information is public in the names of research, the guises behind them are incredibly vague and difficult to follow. Unless you knew where to start you wouldn't know how to get in and find them. Some of these documents are just confidential."

"The only reason why I knew about what I did is because of the access you gave me in the case before. Some of the things mentioned here I've never even seen attempted."

The look Mitsuru sported seemed like sadness and shame. "Yes, we tried many things to save Minato-kun from his fate. We owed it to him after making the greatest sacrifice to keep us safe. He literally gave his life for this planet and now he's stuck there and we are unable to help him. While his soul spends eternity holding back the burdens of man. Makes me feel pathetic..."

"Kirijo-san..."

"Could you imagine Seta-san making that decision?"

Naoto shook her head, not as a no, but more of the sadness coming from the implication of her answer.

"Yeah I can. That's why he always worries me. I know he would, I'm now fully aware how much responsibility he accepts for his power and know that when he would need to be called to arms to protect everyone. If it meant everyone around him to stay alive, he would do it, every single time until his last breath."

The silence in the room hung around as Mitsuru contemplated the Sleuth's words carefully. She heard them not waver, sure of her answer to the fullest, noting the sad expression of acceptance written all over her face. She showed nothing but fear, knowing that due to the whims of the supernatural, it might cost her what she considered a soul mate forever.

"I see..." The regret in her words, lashing out and questioning Naoto's lover's resolve so openly. She'd seen his conviction herself in person. She shouldn't doubt him at all but it was the pang of jealousy that he was still alive and even in the tsunami of danger he was currently facing Naoto was here in Tokyo trying to take her chance to save him, Even if it could possibly cost the lives of everyone around her.

"Sorry I shouldn't have said-"

"Don't worry about it. It's getting late so we can chalk this up to tiredness."

Mitsuru nodded, embarrassed by her display and momentary lack of class. "Yes, I'll probably stay overnight. I'll go downstairs and book a room. It's obvious this won't be sorted over this evening. It will also allow me to make some calls to double check what I've found."

'Loved ones always tend to make us irrational...'

Naoto thought as she watched the head of the Kirijo group do a couple more things on her laptop before a transfer bar came up on screen?

"What are you doing?"

"I'm downloading all the files that are even relatively linked to this case onto your system."

"Wait do you mean-"

"If anything happens, this might prove relevant in the future. Even if not this is something you can spool through in your spare time. It might come in useful since information is everything to you no? Consider it my apology for questioning Seta-san."

"I... Thanks..."

"I've set it to close the remote portal once the download ends. I'll go book myself a room and try to get some sleep. I have a feeling we might need it tomorrow." Mitsuru started to get up from the desk.

"I'll send you a message to let you know what room I'm in."

"I'll keep my phone close." With a nod she picked up her bag that was sat against the desk leg and left the room with no other words shared. Mitsuru didn't even turn back as she gently opened and closed the oak door shut, leaving the room in peace outside the whirl of the Sleuth's laptop. Naoto stumbled back on to the bed and flopped back.

'I really need to have a shower and go to bed.'

...

Booking a room was easy for Mitsuru; she even shelled out for one of the more luscious suites, thinking she might be in for a couple days while she sorted this massive mess out. She eyes the large king side bed normally made for a couple as the first thing she did was crash on to the bed and pulled her phone out, scrolling through the plethora of messages she'd missed since she got out of her limo in Shinjuku this evening. There were multiple messages in the group chats she was in with talk about various things, unaware of the issues at hand. Taking a deep breath, inadvertently taking in the sweet lavender scent of the room, she was about to start her message before thinking of a better idea. Quickly she went through her contacts before finding Aigis. Hitting the call button allowed the ringing tone only run once before the familiar voice was on the other end.

"Mitsuru-san, how can I help?"

Mitsuru's mind stalled, just for a second, weighing up what she should say and how carefully.

"We have an instance of someone trying to open the door again; I'm going to need your backup on this just in case this gets violent. I'll explain when you get here."

"Open the door? Would we need the rest of the Shadow Operatives for this?" Mitsuru bit her tongue from answering immediately.

"I think we should be fine if we cut the head off this operation before it even gets started. It shouldn't take any longer than a day. Follow my live coordinates so you can find me and just meet me when you are here. "

"Roger,"

She considered leaving out the main cause of her being here but shook her head, clearing her mind.

"Also I'm with Naoto Shirogane-"

"The Detective? Isn't that a security threat?"

"No, she's the one who clued me into this going on. I'll elaborate when you get here." She really didn't have the time to elaborate the whole situation before she fell asleep from exhaustion.

"See you tomorrow."

"Yeah you too,"

...

...

-Present Day-

The ringing in his ears was enough to clue him in that he was awake again. His brain still scattered from that last episode feeling several years had been stripped from his life. He didn't know these people, why did they affect him so much. This shouldn't be the case at all.

Picking himself up from the floor he caught on to the nearest bench of the subway platform, trying not to fall back to the floor. Shaking his head, his vision was more blurry than before, finding it hard to see basic shapes and make out anything that was close or far to him. The blue tint putting everything in a darker shade was even worse combined with his failing eye sight. He gathered that the episode of him passing out might have sped up his body's deterioration as it tried to fight to keep him awake. His watch now had 'Out of Range' on it meaning that whatever the issue he had was linked to that. Shrugging it off, he noticed that the station shudders were open meaning there was a way out. Taking it, hopefully he would be able to find more answers about where he is and what he can do. However heading above ground would mean dealing with the areas miasma once again. He had to hope it wasn't as bad before.

...

...

"Urgh... What hit me..?"

"Something hit you?" Naoto scrambled up in surprise as she heard Marie's voice as she kneeled over her. Shaking her bearings she noticed she was back in the endless blue whenever Marie needed to communicate with her.

"Am I dead?"

"Nope, I'm not sure where you are but you are definitely not dead." Naoto breathed a sigh of relief as memories of the encounter of that thing ran through her mind as her body tried to catch up.

"I found the person that has been doing all of this." Marie genuinely looked at her in shock, eyes widening.

"Are you serious, no way!? Who were they!?" That's when Naoto shook her head.

"I don't know whatever or whoever this person was, they were using the looks of Minato Arisato combined with Souji's features like his eyes. It was disturbing..."

Naoto's face twisted in frustration and anger at the thought, "And at will they could change their facial features to match Souji-kun's as well."

"What? So you're telling me we are dealing with someone otherworldly?"

"If the energy blasts, shape shifting and magic blades don't explain it then I don't know what will." Shaking her head, she couldn't think of any other time that these set of occurrences could happen in the real world, "What makes it even stranger is that this did happen in the real world..."

Marie started pacing again, mumbling to herself as she moved back and forth. "Have you found Souji yet?"

Frowning at the thought of trying to explain herself, she fidgeted but Naoto's voice interrupted her thoughts.

"You were correct with the blue butterfly lead. I can see his location in the other world while being in the real one. I ran into him in Ueno today actually. I was about to go through the TV in his apartment but then the culprit interfered. He was on the verge of hitting me with this big thing I guess then I woke up and I'm here. Hence the worry I might be dead."

"Oh..." Seeing Marie take a minute to think, "Normally I can track where you are while you have Souji's key to almost a pin point location but I can tell you still have it but I can't sense where you are. This is strange."

"Maybe you are currently in the other world?"

Naoto thought about it for a moment. Considering she had Souji's TV behind her at the point of impact, maybe it pushed her in after she got hit.

"It could be possible that I was knocked in."

"If that's the case I shouldn't keep you anymore, you have my support if you find him I might be able to intervene." With a small press on her forehead the familiar feeling with the blinding light sent her conscious back to the world of the living...

...

...

Groaning, she slowly put a hand to her head. The impact of wherever she fell too was still apparent but everything else seemed to be ok. At that point she noticed that her head was elevated compared to the rest of her body. Shooting herself up she looked around her at the vibrant life of colours and sounds silhouettes of everyone around her and the constant noise, wincing a little at the contrast of Souji's silent apartment, when it wasn't being raided of course.

"Nice to see you are finally awake." Whipping her head around she saw one of the few people she has been looking for the whole time.

"Margaret!" The attendant of the velvet room shot her a sweet smile, something Naoto found interesting with the given circumstances.

"My my, I'm glad to see someone happy to see me."

"I've been looking all over for you!" Naoto's volume took the attendant a little by surprise, her eyes widening a little.

"Do you know where Souji-kun is?" One of the few times she's seen Margaret, a serious look wasn't common but now it was. The mention of her boyfriend's name was enough to get her full attention. She couldn't help but get straight to the point however, she must know that time is of the essence. Considering she must have been the one to pull her into this world she wouldn't be here unless Souji was around.

The slight glow of her golden iris reflected Naoto's urgency but kept it from bubbling to the surface. She wondered just how much practice Margaret got with that facade or if she was just naturally reserved.

"Yes I do, but I have one question first..." Her tone made Naoto's nerves stand on end. It felt like she was giving her a test, or more like something to enter a password into.

"Do you have his trust? Determination? His compassion?" For a minute Naoto looked confused, and her expression only made Margaret's eyes narrow, it only made her insecure like she was now judging her.

'Does she mean those as human traits? I wouldn't say I have those qualities myself or... Ah I see...'

"Do you mean this?" Quickly she took out the item from the inside of her pocket almost dropping it out clumsiness, the glowing azure hue bringing a small smile to Margaret's face.

"Ah so you did... We might have hope still. I was hoping it would make its way to someone who could bring it to him, I was worried for a period of time but I'm happy one of his friends has come to save him and also save the world as we know it too." Margaret's serious expression evaporated into a gentle smile as her words radiated with the detective.

"Could you fill me in what's going on?" Naoto asked hurriedly. The consistent chatter of all the voices going on around her made her cringe. "It's so noisy..."

"We do not have much time but what I can say is that abomination has been causing quite a ruckus as of late." Margaret's hand gesturing to the docile yet loud shadows around them, "I was signified of its existence a couple weeks ago but could only keep an eye on it from afar. It wasn't until I decided to alert my Fool that it was a danger then it struck. I only managed to get there towards the end of the fight, I have a feeling if I didn't this situation would already be doomed. However he left me with the responsibility of his inner self and I couldn't give it to anyone else other than Marie at the time."

"I see..." Naoto looked on at Margaret standing up to dust off her dress, looking around her like she was anticipating something.

"For now you may find our Fool and return himself to him. I've been guiding him in this world to keep him away from harm while whatever that thing has been trying to find him. I can't interact with him directly any more since he's split from his true self so I can only manipulate the world around him to make sure he's going in the right direction."

"I'm just happy someone is watching over him." The velvet room attendant simply nodded.

"It is my place to serve my guest. I promised him I'd look out for him as much as I could and I will continue to do so no matter the situation."

"Excellent, what direction is he in?" With a flick of the wrist and a flash of blue sparkle, she summoned her compendium from thin air as it opened to a page bringing up a small 3D map of the area.

"While I'm not sure of this place's names but here he is currently." The compendium created a 3D hologram of sorts with the layout of the area of the city they were in. There was a small silver arrow, slowly moving on the map.

"He's between Shinjuku and Ueno. That should take a while but I should be able to get to him if this world is similar to our one. Is it?"

"It is a reflection of our world, take it how it is."

Naoto grinned happy that she was finally getting somewhere. "I'll take that as a yes."

"I'll try to keep him guiding towards you then I'll join you in as soon as I can. I have to make sure our enemy doesn't catch up to intercept you." Naoto nodded, lifting Souji sword up in the process and was about to take off. "One more thing..."

"Hmm?"

"Due to the lack of his power and the attack of our enemy, he's lacking in his senses. So please be careful and don't be afraid..."

Naoto's mind went directly to the assignment she found on Souji's desk,

"Got it," And just like that Naoto bolted for Shinjuku.

...

As the dust settled, he lowered his hand fully expecting a mutilated corpse in his wake but to his surprise other than the scorched ground nothing else was there. His eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"I swear I didn't hit her that hard. Also where is the damn key? I can't have destroyed it." Stomping in frustration, taking next chance he had on the list, he turned to the current Shadow Opratives members in the room.

"Aigis we need to retreat."

"But what about Shirogane-"

"We need to go!" Souji's body double growled as he moved forward, hunting the two down.

"See what you made me do! Well I guess if I'm down a Wild Card, this tin can will have to do for now." Acting quickly Aigis fired into the ground setting off a blinding light into the room lasting long enough to hinder his eyesight. Moving as fast as possible, she grabbed Mitsuru and activated her boosters backwards, jetting through the open door of the apartment. Moving out of her grip, Mitsuru pole vaulted over the arms of the stairs down the stairwell with Aigis in tow. They didn't turn back as they sped down the stairs before hitting the ground floor landing. The anti-shadow weapon booted the block's main entrance, as soon as they got out of the apartment block they jumped into her waiting limo.

Unbeknown to them a third party hidden behind the door of the apartment door, a flash of pale coloured hair and the gentle gold observed the ongoing commotion, a small smile playing on their lips as they crouched a little more, making sure that they were unseen by all the parties involved.

"Kirijo-sama, Aigis-san I-"

"Back to the hotel now," With that the engine fired up and with that they were on the move. The anti shadow weapon looked over at the team leader as she reeled back in the vehicle's comfy seat and sighed in exasperation. "This has gone from bad to worse..."

"What was that we just fought?"

Shaking her head, with still her eyes closed. "I don't even know, I wouldn't be able to tell-"

"K-Kirijo-san, y-you there?" She jolted out of her seat at the incoming transmission.

"Yes Shirogane-san, nice to hear you are doing well, where are you?"

"I'm in the TV World; I got dragged in by Margaret thankfully so I'm a little shaken but no damage done." This time it was a sigh of relief.

"Excellent, have you been able to find Seta-san?"

"Not yet but I do know where he is. It might take a couple hours but I have his location and I'm heading there now. I'll be there as soon as I can. Where is whatever that thing was?"

"We retreated and are currently heading back to the hotel to regroup."

"Good, I've got Margaret holding him off here as he's sure to come and try and find me. I'll bring Souji-kun back; it's only a matter of time now. I'll contact you if anything else."

"We need a battle plan against whatever we were just up against." Mitsuru nodded, a plan of action running through her mind as she tried to string something together. The positive is that currently Naoto was on her way to Souji and if she could get there in time, then the plan might just work.

"Yes, I agree, there are a couple things I need to get from my hotel room then we'll go back up Shirogane-san if need be. A lot of this plan rides on her getting to Seta-san. Hopefully she can make it."

...

"Argh, they got away..." He stomped in frustration; the TV was as well and truly destroyed. At first glance he thought he used way too much power in trying to kill the Detective. He wanted to purge the living memory from his mind. What he absorbed of the Wild Card user before pathetically threw himself in the TV as a form of escape brought the thoughts and memories of his friends along with the absorption process. He wanted nothing more than to start fresh so his first act of symbolism in doing that was removing his blessed slut from existence. Even if she planned to give him his Key to the velvet room, he was always going to outright murder her after, just as of a form of catharsis. Free his mind of the deeds of the past.

It took a moment for him to realise that he could still feel the key from nearby so she must have fell through the TV before its obliteration. A small smile twisted on his lips, the thought of ripping the power away from this Wild Card's loved one brought him a joy that he hadn't experienced in decades. However he now had a choice with the appearance of another Wild Card user.

In his head he weighed up the two options of what he could do. He could chase the detective or he could try and pry it from Aigis' body. Due to her mechanical structure, it would be considerably more difficult to attain but she was also currently in the realm of reality where he was considerably stronger. Not only that by attaining he could always go back and kill off Souji's woman with ease after he'd attain that power. Saying that even with the Detective's ability to use a persona in the TV World, she would still be no match for him but runs the risk of finding Souji who would make this task considerably more difficult due to his more mature Wild Card ability.

Smirking wickedly, he pushed out his hand forming a portal, without a second thought he stepped through knowing he's only a few hours from making history and turning this pathetic world on its head.

As he stepped though into the world of reflections, the third party from before smiled slightly at the shift this took. Poking their head into the doorway, they just saw the realm portal close behind them as the air quickly settled back to normal once they were completely through. Noting where they were located they needed to find another access point to get in so they could catch up.

The noise of the roaming shadows were louder than what they were before as the murmurs of the detective's presence hung in the air as Souji's body double stepped out to the TV World. Nothing but whispers in the wind of all of those who roam this realm. The tones were curious, intrigued but not hostile. Wanting to learn more like human nature, they spoke among themselves, never interfering, only curious to see what developed around them.

Smirking at the confirmation that she was here, he clicked his fingers, the various shadows in the vicinity were brought close as they started to combine into two separate balls of whiling energy that grew bigger and bigger at either side of him. It took a moment as all shadows in the vicinity were pulled in and any not in the range of the vacuum dispersed to escape until the two balls of energy started to form into something else. The energy started to crackle as limbs started to protrude from the orb of darkness. Slowly the disfigured joints started to twist and crack into position, slowly forming an abomination fitting for a hunt in this world. The orb to the left eventually formed a wolf like creature as it hit the ground caused it to quake under its weight. Its roar, announcing its arrival rocked the windows as it reverberated in the area, any remaining shadows quickly disappearing in alarm.

The other sprouted talons and bloomed wings from amongst the darkness, pitch black feathers scattering which way as it grew, its face forming into a deformed tengu mask. Taking flight it hovered above the imposter, waiting for instruction in which to proceed.

"So my lovelies, have you seen anything?" The wolf roared again, its language impossible to understand to the human ear but he understood perfectly, nodding in time before petting the wolf comfortingly.

"Ok, what I need you to do is to go make her life a living hell. If you see the Wild Card user, bring him to me." He was just about to send the monster off before it was struck by an Agidyne spell at full force creating a massive plume of smoke in the vicinity causing the ethereal beast to reel back.

"Hmm?"

Looking up a woman in blue with the smallest frown on her graceful face as she floated down towards the three figures on the ground. Her frown morphed into something darker as the one impersonating her guest as she looked on in disgust while descending, her aggravation more than apparent the nearer to the floor she was.

"You shall not get your hands on the Fortune or my Fool." Her words were simple, but malice hidden behind each syllable. He scoffed in amusement, his interest peeking at her ability.

"So you are the one that's been messing with this place, and my pets. I should have murdered you when I had the chance when that idiot threw himself into the TV. I was wondering when you were gonna show your face." As she landed, her eyes never left his form. Her focus never wavering, the conviction in her eyes making it clear that this was more than a fight to her and she was not going to hold back.

"I can't allow you to proceed." Grinning, he shrugged and folded his arms in defiance.

"I'm not interested if you let me or not because it doesn't matter..." A thought suddenly entered his mind, "Also since I have most of the spirit of that idiot guest of yours, doesn't that make me your guest?" The face of disgust deepened.

Summoning her compendium, "How dare you..."

"Aww, that's a shame. I can bring you power that you've never imagined."

"I'd be disgusted to have you as a guest. I'll make sure you will never see the world past today." He shrugged again, considering it was rather pointless in the end.

"You think so? Do you really have it within you to destroy someone who holds the spirit of your loved one?"

"Do NOT test me..."

"Well, that's a shame, get her!" He pointed at the attendant as the two monsters launched themselves at her.

"Yoshitsune!" The swordsman shot out of her compendium his sword clashing with the black wolf's claws as it attacked. The tengu-like flying beast flew past the skirmish and tried to claw Margaret directly as she ducked out of the way and parried the second attack back before blasting it away, Bufudyne spell knocking it down. It quickly rose up from its fall before rocketing into the air as the wolf fighting with Yoshitsune went in with a bite before being elbowed in its jaw and slashed at before it was forced back.

The tengu dove down at Margaret as she held her stance and dug her heels into the ground.

"Shatter!" Ziodyne rained from the sky nailing it head on bringing it to the ground with a sickening thud. The impact was hard enough to form a creator where the monster was in a heap seemingly unmoving from the impact of the attack.

"So you are not just an innocent bystander."

"If you underestimate me, Fortune or my Fool, You will regret it." He took a couple steps forward standing by the creator where his avian monster landed. Holding out his hand, he created a tether to the fallen ally seemingly transferring energy.

"No!" The attendant shouted as she flicked through the pages of her Le Grimoire before it settled on a page. Yoshitsune lunged again aiming at the imposter. The wolf intercepted him pushing the Samurai back a couple steps before charging in. Margaret eyes then homed in on her target.

"Now!" A beam of energy hit the ground with a thunderous explosion enveloping the area with a purple and white light kicking up rubble and dust in a cloud blocking the result of the attack. As the haze started to fade, Margaret's eyes narrowed at the result. Standing with his free hand in the air, he blocked the attack with his winged beast now standing upright; looking like it hadn't taken any damage.

"I can't believe it; you are actually just as pathetic as the rest of them. Daoshi?" The deformed face with the long nose turned to him.

"Ruin her. Amanosaku?" The wolf growled.

"After that smart ass bitch who thinks she got away, make her nothing more than a memory and make sure she doesn't get to the Wild Card user." The wolf roared and took off leaping over Margaret

"Yoshitsune! After it!" She was about to go after it herself as well but she saw the doppelganger from the corner of her eye as he charged. She put up her guard as she parried his attack, with the side of her right arm before striking back with the slam of her book. He ducked and upper cut her but she shifted to the left and jumped back before Daoshi came crashing down on top of her talons first. He lunged with a swift kick, with enough power to make Margaret wince as she blocked, before the energy blast from his hands caused her to brace as he let it off at point blank throwing her back. She caught herself as she grabbed the floor under her to halt her momentum before gracefully flipping over back on to her feet.

As she recovered, Daoshi chased after her charging down, the light from the yellow sky shining off its claws as they drew. She braced herself as she lined up her next spell, getting ready to take a hit so she could counter attack. Just as it got within striking distance, the sounds of metal clanging as Yoshitsune stood firm in front of her before pushing back Daoshi with a heave of the sword.

"Where is the other one?" The swordsman simply looked back, saying nothing before turning back to its two opponents. "Damn it,"

"Oh! You have two choices now my dear either chase after my pet to make sure she survives or deal with me. And from what I can see you don't have the best of choices. Either way I win, she has no chance against Amanosaku."

"Just who are you?"

"I might be your new god..." She saw his face morph to show more of Souji's expression. A sinister smile painted on the normally stoic and aloof face, his hair shortening but now turning full silver.

"But for now I'm just your guest..." Margaret growled at the sound of her guest.

"You will be stopped, I promise you that." He laughed mockingly. Clicking his knuckles as he took a few steps forward,

"That means absolutely nothing to me; you must know that about me at least by now." Cutting her loses, Margaret closed her compendium causing Yoshitsune to stand down and fade into the air.

"I guarantee next time you won't be so fortunate."

"Ha! Don't make me laugh; you really think now at this point I'll give you a chance to get away. You've delayed my plans long enough that there is a chance those two might reunite. I'll get rid of you here and now so I don't have to see your pathetic face any more." He roared as he charged forward with Daoshi alongside him for a pincer attack. Margaret ducked forward and pivoted around before rising off the ground.

"Oberon, raze this place to the ground!" The fairy emperor shot out of the compendium before raising its hand into the air. A second later, multiple Megidolan began raining from the sky with incredible force causing multiple explosions around her and her targets, not leaving any stone untouched from her wrath. All her enemy could do was put his hands to guard from the direct impact damage of the attack as they were bombarded with a number of rays of almighty damage from all directions.

It took a couple seconds before the assault stopped, the mist clearing away to see nothing there, they were seemingly in the middle of the street, devoid of shadows or the Margaret he was fighting.

She used the attack as a distraction to escape.

He sighed.

"Daoshi, find them. Don't stop until you do and I'll join you when you give the signal." The winged beast nodded before taking off and flying away.

"She's smarter than I gave her credit for."

...

Its Shinjuku subway station, it had been a difficult one to get here but he finally did it. Clambering up the stairs on his hands and knees, he panted heavily, exhausted from the climb as his body struggled to keep going. He felt his body slow and his lungs struggled to take air in as he gasped for each breath, all too aware that each time he did no noise came out. The constant silence bemused him at the best of times but currently his priority is to get to open air, hoping that the miasma has either lowered or gone completely. He needed the break, he needed something to shatter this weakness he seemed to be carrying permanently as all he could do was bare it and keep moving. He could feel his pulse not match how hard he breathed, wondering what on earth was needed to dispel this affliction from him.

His other worry was the cursed device currently wrapped around his wrist. Knowing it had become the bane of his life for the better half of what seemed most of today, it's caused his head to ring constantly like it could sense the presence of others. Every time he glanced at it, while no words or numbers appeared it was trying to force feed him memories that he was sure wasn't his. His battle to reject them only made the piercing headache worse and some of them made him want to give up altogether. Maybe this was the problem he needed to get rid of, or maybe it's the last stage of his suffering. Either way he needed to get out and find out or he might die waiting here anyway.

...

Thank heavens she was now in the TV World. Being here meant that she had a lot more endurance so she could run for a lot longer at a time to get to her destination. Ducking and weaving in between side roads, taking every extra little short cut to make sure she could get to her destination quicker. This TV World was considerably easier to navigate than back in Inaba. For the most part shadows were docile, they didn't pose a threat and she could run past without any interest from them. One huge distinction is that the world is incredibly bright. It was almost like the polar opposite of downtown evening Tokyo. The yellow and orange skies and vibrant buildings had bright contrast colours to them compared to the real world. That in itself was quite beautiful and vibrant but the only issue was the constant chatter in the background like she could hear everyone's conversations from the other world.

On the way she heard multiple roars in the background like a giant beast had entered the world but she shook it off. What she couldn't ignore was the floor quaking and shaking intermittently. Naoto assumed that was Margaret and whatever that thing was fighting. Especially since she knew that Margaret is one of the strongest entities she knew. She made Souji sweat and always gave him flashbacks when her name was mentioned.

Shaking it off, Naoto ducked into another street as she found herself on the edge of the great Shinjuku junction. Looking around she wondered just how close she was. Turning to her watch it still currently says 'Out of Range'. Frowning a little she was about to go in a specific direction until she thought of an idea. Taking out the blue key from her inside pocket, the buildings reflected the blue haze emitted from the item as the chatter from the shadows got louder. Naoto watched carefully as the light began to show trails of blue butterflies heading in a direction near the station. Smiling at the excellent bit of ingenuity, she held it in her right hand as she carried Souji's weapon in her left. As she ran towards the station in the toe of the fluorescent blue trails she felt a looming shadow leap over her.

She skidded to a halt as a massive beast landed in front of her, becoming a guardian for the station. The ground shook, unable to take its weight as it roared as a way of introducing itself. Naoto stared down the giant shadow-wolf as she placed the bright blue key away and put down Souji's weapon.

"I had a feeling it wouldn't be so easy..." Out of her side holster she pulled out her revolver, doing a quick check to see if it was full loading before closing the chamber. She stood ready as she waited for it to move first debating whether to stay and fight it or to slip past and lose it into the station. Shifting her foot, Naoto kicked up Souji's weapon with her foot before striking it with a roundhouse kick to send it directly at the wolf causing it to take evasive manoeuvres as it struck it on its way to its destination. It growled and roared as it charged down the detective as Naoto ran at it herself, firing arm down as she called Yamato Sumeragi in for support. Sliding under the giant monster as it came crashing down with its claws she pivoted around and fired, magic imbued bullets hailing through the amber sky embedding into the monster's side with each shot.

Digging her heels into the ground, Naoto stepped into firing stance and emptied the rest of her clip before quickly reloading and firing again pushing the monster back with each bullet it unloaded into it. It jumped back to gain some distance from the constant barrage of Naoto's attacks, to match she pressed forward, closing the gap, not giving itself time to think of a way out of this situation.

"This thing takes so many bullets relentlessly which is worrying..."

This time it roared as it started to shrug off her shots and charged forward, the ground shaking with each gallop it made. It was enough to knock Naoto off balance as she fell back without a chance to jump back and out of the way of its push, but before it could get within range, Yamato Sumeragi sabre fell first into its head as it crashed into it, kicking up dust and rubble in the process from the impact. Naoto took the chance to get back on her feet and recall her Persona to lay multiple traps about to give better positioning.

The Sleuth held out her hand, focusing her mind to call her attack,

"Blight!"

Yamato Sumeragi charged forward blade first in hand as it picked up speed aiming directly for Amanosaku's head. It tried to leap away but it was too slow as Naoto's persona embedded it's blade into the monster's head and used gravity as its greatest weapon and pulled the monster back down into the ground, causing an explosion of purple mist. Yamato Sumeragi twisted it's blade into its head as it cried weakly from the pain.

"Agidyne!" The persona nodded dutifully as it began to light up and charge holding down its enemy before it quickly detonated itself in a massive fiery explosion that blew any surrounding shadows back causing anything not caught in the blast to scatter and run away. Naoto quickly sighed in relief as she felt the beast collapse to the ground with a whimper. Reloading her weapon she made sure to keep her eye on the monster as she backed in towards the station. She couldn't let her guard down while she was so close. As she inched towards Souji's weapon she heard the distinct noise of flapping in the air. Turning to the sky she squinted as she saw something come towards her at speeds. Groaning at her luck she lifted her weapon to aim before firing into the air hoping to intercept it before it got close.

Unfortunately she was too far to make any of her shots accurate as it barrel rolled and dived out of the way before it spread its wings and flapped them with a burst of wind as feathers rained down from the sky. The Sleuth gritted her teeth as she fired at some of the falling projectiles to knock them off course but the ones she couldn't she had to evade, dashing around to make sure they weren't on course. She got through most of them except one skimming against her left arm, Slashing open her sleeve leaving a small wound as she reeled back.

"Shit..."

The winged beast dove again closing the altitude as it lunged talons first aiming to maim Naoto on the way down. Her foot twitched as she hopped back using Yamato Sumeragi to assist her ability by lifting her backwards into the air giving enough distance to unload her whole clip into the monster's body . A couple connected but it rose again after it missed to swoop in for a second attempt. Naoto hit the ground just a little too late as it was about to come crashing down on top of her. In that instance she shot her arm out as an armoured shell appeared around her bouncing back the tengu as it hovered above her in obvious confusion in why its attack didn't work. She was about to unload fire to get it away when it was hit by another powerful Ziodyne spell as the electricity crackled in the air and the boom of the thunder hitting the ground echoed in the famous junction, temporarily blocking out the jeers and whispers of the shadows in the area.

Naoto looking up saw Margaret hover down, a look on her face which showed she was more than unhappy.

"I'm sorry I took so long, we have to go. We don't have time."

Naoto raised an eyebrow in confusion,

"Time for what?"

The both looked on as Naoto grimaced and Margaret growled as the now Souji body double walked into frame. Clapping like he's just seen a great show.

"It looks like we are all here. I was getting worried there. Must admit this has totally not gone to plan at all and I'm getting seriously tired of this. Underestimating you was one of my biggest mistakes. I won't make it again." His eyes switched from gold to a deep red as his body started to exclude a crimson aura, a feeling of maliciousness and hatred flowing from him, dying the areas around him in a darker colour.

"Two on one, can we take this fight Margaret?" She shook her head.

"He can revive his allies; I'm not sure how long we have an advantage. Also the power I can feel flowing through him is immense. I've not felt anything like it before."

Naoto could only frown; it was not what she wanted to hear right about now.

"Great..."

Souji's double looked on, laughing maniacally as his face twisted between him and Minato, seemingly without control now.

"Now hand over that key. I'm not going to give you an option. You can pick the path of the least resistance or I can paint the walkway with your blood. I promise I'll make your death quick and not painless."

Margaret took stance, her compendium humming, brimming with power as Naoto reloaded and got ready. This was seemingly it.

The body double summoned an energy ball in its hand.

"This will be glorious..."

Suddenly Naoto's watch bleeped. Looking down she checked it.

Distance: 10m

She paused; everyone paused at the blaring watch, the only thing with the gall to make noise at this time. Looking around frantically she saw something turning around a corner as a body stumbled out. It took everyone away from the attraction of the looming battle, temporarily halting the fight about to break out. At that moment time froze as everyone starred seemingly in disbelief at the latest twist this situation had taken. Seeing the man stumble and almost fall over, Naoto made her choice without a second thought as her body moved on instinct. She took off for him, picking up his weapon in the process as she sprinted as fast as possible.

"NOOOOO!" The body double screamed as it leapt forward, closing that gap as quickly as possible. He was bounced back as Margaret intercepted him, Helel pushing him back.

"You will not interrupt." She said simply as her golden eyes glowed with determination as she put as much spiritual energy into her tome to blast back her enemy.

"I'll kill all of you!" He screamed in rage as he began to fire.

Margaret used that time to summon multiple Personas at once to block the various attacks, burning through as much of her energy as possible to keep Naoto safe.

Running to what seemed like the lifeless body, he fell into her arms as she cuddled him softly, soothing him.

"Don't worry Souji-kun, everything will be ok." Looking down at the man she gasped and notice what was left. It was Souji Seta that she remembered but his eyes were lifeless, and while it seemed that he was trying to talk to her no audio came out. His skin felt devoid of live as they felt cold with the texture of paper. Her eyes stung as tears began to fall.

"I can't believe he did this to you..." She cuddled him closer as the body of her boyfriend seemingly unaware of where he was as all he did was mouth incoherently. Quickly remembering what she needed to do, she took out the key from her inside pocket, the bright light fighting back against the all of the colours of the TV World as it illuminated the area around them.

"Let me through!" Souji's body double roared as he saw the blue light start to take over. In his act of desperation, he ploughed forward with both hands breaking through multiple Personas before he was topped dead by Yoshitsune as it launched him back before the swordsman dived at him, hoping to buy enough time.

"You shall not pass."

Margaret's eyes narrowed, making him fully aware of her intent.

Naoto placed the key in Souji's palm and closed his hand around it, never taking her own off him. It took a moment for the body to register what was going on before he looked down. Souji's body started to glow with the same azure light of the key as Naoto closed her eyes and held him close, hoping for the best.

"You fool!" He screamed as he finally broke through Margaret's defences as she was knocked back and sent skidding to the side. She struggled to pick herself up as she exhausted all of her SP as quickly as possible to stall him. She growled in his direction as he stalked her menacingly, his right fist glowing in power shining a bright blood red in contrast to the sapphire blue coming from the station entrance.

"Your journey ends here secretary. I'll make sure it's messy."

"No, yours ends here."

Suddenly faint trails of energy started to appear on his face as they seemingly flowed towards the direction of Souji and Naoto.

"What the!?"

Souji's body double covered his face and screamed in agony as Souji's sense of self was ripped from him, his senses, dreams, memories, his power leaving him and being dragged into its original body. He stumbled back trying to fight it, trying not to let go. He was wanting nothing more to keep it all for himself. It was his time; this was supposed to be it. He can't fail now.

At that moment Naoto noticed a couple items on his body slowly light up in a blue light and float above him. The watch she had given him for Christmas with the small toy badge she made him when they started dating. Lifting away from his wallet was a picture of the investigation team as well as a picture of him and Nanako with the last a small bookmark in a similar styling of Margaret's clothing.

Suddenly it all made sense to Naoto.

It was these items being on his person at the time of separation of his power from his body was the only reason they didn't forget him. These items were so important in the significance of their power they were more like celestial items rather than just everyday objects. She could feel the energy they radiated as they spun in the air, creating a catalyst for his power to rejoin him. Just as quickly they all went back to where they came.

With a cry to the heavens the last of Souji's life left him as it slowly seeped back into its original owner. Naoto opened her eyes and for a moment she saw her man back, the person she loved and the one she wanted to spend her life with back before he shouted into the air, crying out in anguish before a beam of blue bright light emitted from him shot into the sky before spitting up and scattering in every direction, turning the sky from the golden yellow into the midnight blue.

Margaret starred in wonder before she got up slowly as she stumbled to Naoto and Souji. Her mind wondered at the significance of what seemed to be his life force finally returning to normal, her connection with him suddenly restored as she felt the power of their bond flow through her again. She basked in the warmth, a feeling she had grown empty without wanting anything more than to stay like this forever. She looked on as soon as the energy dissipated into the air, the Wild Card user passed out in the Detective's arms lifeless.

"Souji! SOUJI!" Naoto cried, shaking him hoping she was in time to save him.

"I think he'll be ok, he's still breathing. I can feel him again now..." Margaret said as she limped towards them, a small smile returning to her face. As far as she's concerned, she'd done it. Manage to reunite the wild card user with her guest. The only thing is that all three of them were here while their enemy was still around and dangerous. The problem is that they were still tired and depleted of energy with Souji seemingly out from the amount of energy fed into him in such a small period of time.

"I will not stop here!" He screamed as he dropped one hand, what they noticed is that this being had a face mixed with a demon, long black hair, large teeth and a large nose.

Both Persona users gasped. Time stood still as the being slowly lowered their hand, revealing more and more of a departure of the face they had only moments prior.

"Sorry you have to witness my true form but what's done is done. Since we are all here, I'll just have to deal with every single one of you now. Luckily being a god I can do this all day." She sparked up her fist as she slammed it into the ground re-summoning her wolf and Tengu before her.

"Now let's do this again, this will be the last time. I hope you are ready."

Margaret turned to Naoto.

"I hope you have energy left."

"I do but not as much as I would like."

"Likewise..."

Just as she stepped forward a familiar voice rang through the air.

"YAAAAHOOOOOO!"

Looking up a shining object was falling from the sky as it headed straight to the two Persona users at breakneck speed. Margaret, too tired to put up a stance, simply took a step back as Naoto held Souji closer to her bosom. It only took a second for impact to happen as the explosion in a bright blue light blinded everyone on the ground. Naoto who was covering her eyes with her arms, slowly pulled away to see what else had been added to this battle. As it started to fade, Naoto's face lit up into a giant smile. The look on the deformed face of the enemy was shock and surprise like she'd just seen a ghost.

"Finally it took a long time but I was able to track you guys!" Marie said in bright spirits. "The rejoining was enough of a beacon to tell me where you guys are and I couldn't just sit back and let this happen."

Her gleeful tone made it all too obvious on just how much she was back. Like Margaret, she could feel the threads of her and Souji's bonds rejoin and were stronger than before. That alone gave her a new pulse of life as she radiated mythical energy to everyone around her, the night sky above them slowly forming stars, twinkling magnificent as she brought life to the image above them. Taking a moment she looked on at who they were fighting and her mind snapped instantly to serious mode, the personality laying underneath suddenly coming alive at a familiar yet disliked face.

With a sigh a flash of light Marie transformed into the form of her deity. The skirts and shirts replaced with a bright white robe bag all but gone but replaced the echo of a voice of someone who had seen more than millennia watching over man and their troubles. The light swirled around her as her hair flapped in a wind that only she could feel. Her eyes turned a bright aurora green as she felt energy pour into her being.

Standing in front of Naoto and Margaret was Izanami-no-Mikoto, a smile on her face that she had just been liberated.

"Also I couldn't leave my husband behind either..."

Naoto looked confused. "Husband?"

From Souji's prone form an aura started to grow as it formed. Seconds later Izanagi rose in spectral form, spinning its spear before embedding it into the ground blade first.

"Oh yes, the gods of creation..."

"Sorry I took so long my love. Things were complicated." Izanami-no-Mikoto told Souji's main Persona. Izanagi only nodded as he stood alongside her. The form of the two gods formed a gentle yet soothing breeze around them. Izanami eyes turned from green to a dark red, looking at the demon that stood against them.

"Oh... It's been a while. Who would have thought it's been you that's been causing so much trouble..." The demon before her growled, her demented and twisted face scowled as her teeth grinded together.

"Shut the hell up. I don't need any pity from you!" Izanami only shook her head. From Naoto's perspective she didn't seem sad or frustrated, just disappointed.

"Susanoo would be disappointed that you've lived up to everyone's expectations."

"Don't mention my father you spoilt bitch." Izanami scoffed, ignoring her for the most part, unfazed by the hostility.

"You can cause as much trouble as you want on the plane of the gods Amanozako but once you mess with the people I care for, the people I serve, the people I love. Then you have my attention. I will not let you get away with the trouble you have caused for the past month. My divine wrath has no bounds. Remember that..."

This only fuelled Amanozako's rage even more. She roared, breaking the windows of all of the nearby buildings as the gust of wind shot through the group.

"I'm about to bring the world of the gods to its knees. I'll make sure your husband is the catalyst."

"An empty threat but one I take seriously nonetheless..." Painfully slowly Izanami turned back to a Naoto still clutching Souji in her grasp and an exhausted looking Margaret, watching on in awe. "I hate to bring this upon you two after you've done so much. But would you mind taking on one last battle?"

With a feeling in her stomach that this was the turning point in her adventure Naoto nodded in earnest, eyes now showing a renewed determination now Souji was in a safer position. She could feel the warmth of his body return in her arms with the light wheeze of him breathing. She would do nothing more than to fight, for her friends, for family, for their future.

"Yes, with everything I have. I promised to remember?" That brought a small smile to Izanami's face.

"That you did... And you?" She turned to Margaret who nodded slowly.

"I did say my Guest is everything to me. But I am out of reserves so I'm not sure how much help I can be..." Izanami seemed confident even with that news.

"Don't you dare forget about me? I'm not insignificant at all!" Amanozoku charged at the group, energy knives ready to embed into them before she was intercepted by Izanagi holding her back.

"Do you mind my love while I sort this out?" Izanami asked calmly. All the thunder god could do was nod before turning to its opponent and slashing back in return. Turning back to Naoto she took a few steps towards her, flowers and grass growing from each footstep. The aura of power coming off as nothing more than a gentle summer breeze. Naoto basked in it, a feeling she hadn't felt since Souji summoned Izanagi-no-Okami.

"I know your love for Souji matches or even exceed the love I have for my husband but I can't separate the two of them so all I've wanted to do is live through your eyes, even if it's only for a moment. You've come out of your way and more for everything you did for him. It's our turn to fight for him while he rests. Do you agree?"

"Yes I do."

"I'm glad. Let's show her what we do to people who mess with their loved ones no?"

Gently placing Souji on the ground, Naoto nodded, sitting up on her knees

Izanami crouched down and placed her hand on her cheek, the warmth and sensation was nothing she'd ever felt before. She covered her hand with hers.

"You art thou; thou art I, open thy eyes and join our hearts as one..."

The incantation was more than enough as Naoto felt a jet of energy course through her all at once as memories of all of a multiple of a millennia swam through her mind as the pulse of a god poured into her veins. She gasped at the sudden feeling of power now at her fingertips as her eyes glowed a bright azure blue, shocking Margaret and forcing her to step back. Naoto stiffened as a sky blue aura surrounded her, the cackle of electricity shot out in various directions as her hair shifted through multiple colours until it went back to her trademark blue.

Izanagi who was still fighting with Amanozako seemingly grinned with his eyes before disappearing into particles, then quickly absorbed into the Sleuth. Growling in annoyance at how much of a turn this whole situation had, Amanozako knew she was at the endgame here. She needs to beat this detective one last time or her plan would be in ruins. She was still a god herself and didn't need a human to channel her powers so she had all of them at her disposal regardless if she had gained power or not. Knowing that Naoto was still a human body gave her the advantage.

Naoto stood slowly and pulled her jacket off and threw her hat to the side as her hair flowed naturally around her face, flapping lightly in the breeze of her own creation. Picking up Souji's sword she swung it a couple times it a couple times to get the feeling of its weight before twirling it in her hand as the memories of Souji's fighting style and experience poured into her mind via soul of Izanagi-no-Okami gracing her with his knowledge.

Closing her eyes for a second she realised the importance of what just happened...

Naoto Shirogane has gained the ability to summon multiple Personas...

Persona at her disposal: Yamato Sumeragi(Fortune), Kaguya(Aeon), Izanagi-no-Okami(World), Izanami-no-Okami(World Reverse), Sraosha(Justice), Isis(Empress), Lucifer(Judgement), Nornir(Fortune Reverse)

Persona Fusion and host control complete!

Welcome to the power of the Wild Card!

"So this is the power Souji-kun is able to control..." Naoto looked at Margaret, who stared at her like she couldn't believe what she just saw. It was only then she noticed she caught herself, the look of surprise traded in for a smile of gentle warmth.

"I'm glad you can finally be of your full potential Fortune." Naoto shot her a smile back.

"It's a little overwhelming and there are a lot of voices in here. But overall I feel like a new person..." She opened her hand as the tarot card of the World but upside down formed in her grasp then smashed the card. The deity of Izanami-no-Okami slowly formed behind her.

"Izanami? Since we have a new fight on my hands I'm assuming the 'Battle Ready' skill applies right?"

The god slowly nodded, smiling all the time knowing what she was planning to do.

"Can I combine that with 'Deployment Tactics' as well?" The god again nodded before crossing its arms and fading away. Suddenly an aura surrounded Margaret, filling her with energy, and healing wounds that she had sustained before. The faded yellow in her eyes from tiredness had their colour injected into them as they shone brightly like the sun. She felt her tense muscles relax as her SP reserves filled to their max capacity. All traces of the previous battles and manipulation of the world they were in gone as a distant memory of the past.

"Fortune... What did you...?"

"I can't have you fight by my side and not be in your best condition can I? I'd be a bad teammate."

Margaret nodded, reinvigorated from Naoto's new Persona. She summoned her compendium in battle stance as the two turned to the demon ahead of them.

"I can't believe it's turned into this. After all that time being in her shadow, she now comes down from her high horse to mock me..." Amanozako stepped forward blades ready, the male attire starting to show wear and tear from the protrusions of her natural body proportions. She was considerably bulkier, making it so the trousers and shirt started to split apart at the seams. Her teeth now shone from the midnight sky, her point nose long and now firm as her most distinguishing feature. Her golden crown now visible on her head as she walked towards them, gleaming from the light of the moon.

"I won't be turned into a sideshow!" With a flick of both wrists her two pets now at her side, fully powered and ready. This time the ethereal energy that she was capable of producing was mixed in with the shadow aspect of the being, giving the m a red tint in areas.

"You may have the power of Izanami but you are still a human. And human bodies are still weak. You do not have a chance."

Naoto lifted Souji's sword, her left hand on the grip feeling all too familiar as she pointed the blade at her enemy. Her right is still armed with her trusty revolver.

"This ends here. It ends today..."
