A New Team

Chapter Six: Last Rounds
One month passed as the final players were ready to face their last opponents and hopefully becoming Chunin at the end, if not it was another six months of training. Sakura woke up early and gathered herself up from her bed.
Stretching out her arms and legs, she yawned into her hand after and the continued to warm up with some different stretches, making sure her body was lose but firm as she was going to take on Neji Hyuuga. He was a genius and he had his eyes, she had to blind him from using them but how. Smoke bombs weren't unless…not lethal enough to stop him from using his eyes and not to damage them either.
Just to confuse him from seeing her or her chakra points. Sakura thought about it and slowly mixed a smoke screen to work Neji eyes, however it was untested and did Sakura really want win enough to hurt Neji. No, she placed the smoke screen at the side and packed a few more weapons on her body. However, using a small poison to slow him down as safe and it was tested from before, so she places the poison on some senbon needles. Her hand went to the caps to make sure she wasn't poisoned too.
She was ready for the last rounds of this Chunin exam. She counted her skills, pros and cons within this battle. This round wasn't about her winning but showing her skills to the others. However, she wasn't going to just lose to Hyuuga Neji. Yes, he was stronger, faster than her but she was too. She would lose gloriously while showing what she could do.
The thought of one technique would be brilliant was the one that Sakura was dreading to use but if she had to use it, against Hyuuga Neji, then she would. After it she wouldn't want anyone to know, if it was avoidable.
She walked down stairs and made some breakfast. Sakura made eggs, bacon, toast, hash browns, eating calmly. She thought some battle plans and how to show what she could do more. After when Sakura was done, she placed her plate, fork and knife and glass into the sink. She made sure that she had all her weapons with her and then walked out the door.
Sakura walked quickly to the arena and stopped to see Ino waiting for her. Her eyes widen as Ino went to her.
"Good luck." Ino told her.
Sakura walked into the side door and up the steps and into the small room that will house all the participates. Kiba and Gozaburo were already there glaring at each other from opposite ends of the room. Shino and Kankuro walked in after her, making her a nod of their heads then went onto opposite ends of the room.
Temari and Tenten along with Kentaro and Gaara were silent when Sakura had come into the room. Mimi and Seijo, Yoshimaru and Kenta the four were not there yet but they had the time to get at the arena. Sakura could tell that Hyuuga Neji was staring at her from where he was standing against the wall, arms folder over his chest.
Sakura walked over to the wall and waited for the last four participates to come. Minutes tick by and nothing was happening at all. She turned to see Temari smile at her and nodded her head at as if saying good luck.
Sakura returned the same smile and turned when she heard the door opening. And in walked the four last participates without a care in the world. It seemed like that, but Sakura had been trained by Tsunade, Kakashi and Asuma sensei to see anything and to Sakura all were anxious about this exam.
Sakura turned as the rest did when the bell was sounded. Everyone took their seats in the stands and seen the proctor came out from the doors below them. She walked towards the middle and raised a hand to silence the crowd.
"Ok guys and gals, this is the final test. The arena is different, but the rules are the same as in the prelims, there are none... You fight until one of you dies or acknowledge defeat, but if I have to determine that the fight is over, then I'll step in and stop it, understood." She said.
"Hai." Sakura and the rest sounded off.
"The first match is… Kiba VS Gozaburo!" She called out.
Kiba and Gozaburo stood up and walked down the stairs and meet in the middle of the field. "Sakura glanced to the right to see Hyuuga Neji standing beside her. He looked down at her and rose his brow and questioned," Are you sure that you don't want to throw the match off?"
Sakura's eyes narrowed at him and replied," No, and why do I get the feeling that you wouldn't ask any other person to throw the match against you?"
He was silent, Sakura rolled her eyes at him and turned back to the scene when the match begins. Gozaburo shot up a punch and kick combo as Kiba was forced back quickly as he smirked at his opponent.
Sakura watched the battle of punches and kicks strays jutsu's and overall, a damn great fight at the end it was Kiba that came out as the winner for this battle. Gozaburo had to be helped onto the stretcher as his leg was bent at an odd angle.
"Next match is Shino VS. Kankuro!" The crowd went nuts as Shino and Kankuro walked down and onto the field. Shino pushed his glasses up and stared at Kankuro well from what Sakura could see from her place in the stands. Kankuro smiled and waved his hand in the air. The crowd cheered on as the match had begin.
Puffed! Sakura looked behind her to see Tsunade's ANBU guard looking at her. "Hai?" Sakura asked. Neji had looked behind them too.
"Haruno-san, they have been emergency request at the hospital. Lady Tsunade has delayed your match." He stated.
"Hyuuga-san, we will fight but…."
"Go." He cut Sakura off. He understood the meaning of Medical Ninja. He knew Sakura trained to become one. She touches the ANBU's shoulder as they both disappeared. Neji watched as she disappeared and looked back to the match as Shino won against Kankuro.
"We have to go onto the fourth round as Haruno-san was needed at the hospital. So, the next match is Tenten VS Temari!"
Sakura appeared in the emergency section of the hospital to see it was full. Damn, she was going to be drained by the time she was done.
"Haruno-san, you're here!" One of the medic's called out.
Sakura nodded her head at them and walked over to them. The medic gave her several folders, Sakura quickly read through one of them and sighed poisoned, just like Aki-san and Tsuikage and since she as the leading medic on this poison she was selected. She walked into the room to see a several ninja's having problem breathing.
She looked over the others and were saying something about puppets and explosives but nothing that made sense to her. She called for a team of medic- nin and gathered the supplies needed for the poison extraction. She placed her hair up and washed her hands thoroughly along with the others.
"Hold down his arms and legs, shoulders and hips. Keep him steady." She ordered them. Sakura begin with the upper chest around, he screamed in pain at first them, whimpered the rest of the way. Sakura pulled out three handfuls of the poison and placed them in water bowls.
Sometime later, she pulled back and smiled. "His life isn't in danger anymore. Let's get onto the next one."
Sakura progressed do three more before, she stopped and breathing in and out. She felt exhausted from using that much of her chakra and still she had four patients with the same poison and then she still had to do the last Chunin exams with Hyuuga. It must have been time for her to get back as she looked at the clock to see it was only forty minutes since she came here.
Her eyes widened at this, pulling poison out isn't that fast at all. "The more I do the poison extract jutsu the better I'm be and since I did this poison three times before, I can see… no I know where it is."
"Haruno-san, stop and go back to Chunin exams." One medic-nin said to her.
Sakura smiled and stated," Let me know if the others take a turned for the worst and I'll be here." Sakura smiled once more and walked out of the room and seen the ANBU waiting for her. She walked up to him and was going to place her hand on his shoulder.
"Haruno-san, here is chakra pill." Medic-nin said as he walked out from the front desk and towards her. She took the pill and chewed it, once swallowed she gave him a smiled and touch the ANBU's shoulder.
"Winner Mimi!" Sakura came in at the last second, she nodded her thanks to the ANBU and walked forward.
"Haruno-san?" Hyuuga-san questioned.
"It's fine. I'm here and ready." She told him. Since taking the chakra pill, she was at strength again. She looked at the stands and looked back at Hyuga-san. "So, who lost the last matches?"
"You seen Kiba and Shino winning, after that it was Temari and Gaara. Mimi was this winner. Next up is…"
"Yoshimaru and Kenta, please come to the stage." The female proctor called out. Sakura watched the two of them, jumping out of the participle box and walked to the proctor.
Sakura watched this match when she was soon thinking about the words she heard about puppets and explosives not one and not two it was five times about it. She had to know who had done it. Her mind was wreaking up that is going on and nothing was coming to her mind when," Kenta Winner!" Her mind snapped back into the present.
"Can we have Haruno Sakura and Hyuuga Neji." The proctor stated.
Sakura and Neji walked down the stairs to the arena. Sakura and Neji faced each other and waited. The proctor told them the conditions of the winner.
"Begin!" Sakura jumped back and ready herself to his attack. Neji came at her fast, Sakura used this time to punches the ground making a sudden earth shake, she disappeared in the earth. She used her chakra sensing abilities to know when Neji was, once she got to him, she used her strength to break up but he moved away fast.
Sakura pulled back after her attack, she watched him move into his juken stance. Neji attacked fast and swiftly, Sakura was hit a few times, but she got away from him. She swipes her kunai for some shuriken's, she throws them at him some without explosive tags to them.
She throws her poisoned senbons at Hyuga, Sakura watched him as he dodges or simply moved out of the way. His movements were like a dance and since he had cut her chakra points on her left side. She truly couldn't use anything…or can she? Her eyes narrowed at the thought.
She moved away from him as Hyuga at her with speed. "Oh no, his fast…" She ducked and went into the Crane Dance style of Taijutsu. Sakura used the moves to move around Hyuga. His pearl eyes narrowed at her moves as he whispered," Byakugan." Sakura jumped and threw more kunai's at him and soon Sakura had to use most of her weapons at Hyuga.
Hyuga attacked her, Sakura jumped out quickly as she smiled and did a front flip three times in midair as she landed hard. Sakura's hands were moving faster then before.
Hyuga saw her hands. He blinked at this and then his eyes widen. She was going to burst her chakra points that were closed.
"Haruno…. stop." Hyuga called out, but it was to late for the words. His eyes widen at the breaks in her system. Small ones but it will get bigger.
Sakura called out," Doton Kage Bunshin [1]! She had to bit her lip to kept from screaming in agony. She felt her arm and leg breaking but not breaking. She knew it was her chakra points that were being pulled and tugged on. She heard Hyuga saying stop but it was to late to actually stop. Three other Sakura's came out as there was now four Sakura's. Two went off the right; two went to left boxing Hyuga in a square form. She panted at the hits on pain, as she knew it was possibly going to be her last attacks.
Each Sakura did different hand signs, "Doton: Dosekiryū![2] The one on the left top stated.
"Raijū Hashiri no Jutsu! [3]" The real Sakura called this one out, she was on the right top side on the square.
"Katon: Endan.[4]" The Sakura on the left bottom said.
"Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu.[5]!" The last Sakura said on the right bottom. All charged at Hyuga as he called out," Hakkeshō Kaiten!" [6] Hyuga-san technique spin into life, it knocked or fizzled out her techniques.
She cancelled her Earth clones. She didn't attack at all, but waited for Hyuga-san to stop his attack. Sakura called out," Cherry Blossom Heaven Rotation![7]
Haruno-san was looking at him when he stopped. He could tell that she was getting tired, what had amazed him was that she was still fighting against him. His fight with Naruto didn't last this long. It was coming up on thirty minutes since they had started. He threw some kunai at her as she either dodge of caught some of them. She threw them back at him as he raced around to the other side and attacked her again. His eyes widen at what she called out when he got close.
"Cherry Blossom Heaven Rotation!" [7] Haruno said clearly. Her technique spin into existence. It was like his clan's technique but the more he looked at it. He could see some differences, like she had stopped moving herself. The chakra core looks stronger and firmer. He threw kunai at it again but it bounced off.
She smirked as she did her hand seals and called out," Raijū Hashiri no Jutsu![8] Sakura easily moved her Jutsu to the side to side as she tried to attack Hyuga-san with it. He moved faster and away from it. Soon Sakura had to cancel it as it took too much of her chakra, and right now, she had enough for one more attack and that was all.
Sakura moved her hands into a familiar movement and she gathered her remaining chakra as she kneaded it over and over. Sakura 's eyes blurred a bit as she tried to focus. She called out her last attack," Katon: Gōenka" [9]
A multitude of fireballs at the same time in the air, above Hyuga-san.
Hyuga eyes widen at this attack as he called out, "Hakkeshō Kaiten!" [6] Fireballs rained down on his shield but rolled off soon. Soon the balls of fire stopped as he stopped his technique to see Haruno tilting forward.
He raced over to her and caught her body when she fell.
"Neji Hyuga! Winner!" the female proctor rang out.
Haruno-san, your technique was perfect. More than mine." Hyuga could see the medics coming towards them but didn't gave them Haruno-san's body. He carried her towards the healing rooms.
Hyuga walked into the hall to see Lady Tsunade waiting for them to come, however the one that shock him the most was his uncle.
"Neji, do you know?" He asked.
Neji shook his head at him and gave Haruno-san to Tsunade to heal. He left with his uncle.
