My father, uncle and grandfather used to tell me stories about a creature that would be stone by day and warrior by night. I didn't believe in this story at first. My father, uncle and grandfather kept telling me that it's true. I then asked, "Well if that's true, then how come I never saw one?" My uncle Nathaniel who is my father's brother and Grandfather's second son looked at me and said, "My dear niece, just because you can't see a gargoyle in the night doesn't mean they're not here and real." Grandfather added, "Just because you can't see a gargoyle doesn't mean it's not there."
I took their word for it. Then Uncle Nathaniel handed me something that was once his, a bow with gems, Father handed me something that was his, a helmet and Grandfather handed me something that was once his, a sword with so many gems.
I was in awe. Father said, "This helmet was once mine when I was a bit younger than you while the bow was once your uncle's when he was your age and this sword was once your grandfather's when he was a bit older than you Marina, but now we want you to have them."
I put on the helmet and was in awe still. Grandfather then said, "You know exploring the city would help you." I smiled and said, "Sure Grandfather, I'll give it a go." I went outside to get some things to understand in my mind. It sure was nice of my father, uncle and grandfather to give me their things.
While I was walking, my father's helmet keeps slipping on my face. I had to open the hatch of it so I can see better. Then I noticed a commotion. I wondered what is going on. Then I began to notice my father's helmet, my uncle's bow and my grandfather's sword starting to glow.
That's strange, what's going on? Before I know what is happening, I was transported to the castle.
I had a look around to see if there are any damages to the castle. Then something caught my eye, claw marks. I asked, "What could be possible to leave claw marks on solid stone? What could be strong enough to make them?" That's what I like to know. I then decided to go outside. I made it outside and looked around. I am up top! I am up so high and everything seems tiny to me.
Then something caught my attention. Footsteps! I got my grandfather's sword out and said, "Ok whoever you are, come on let me see you, nice and easy." Then to my relief, it was a woman. I then got suspicious.
