Professor Donger: Thank you all for your support! This has been a fun fic for both of us and we can't wait to show you more of our little AU.
Damian02: We honestly can't believe how much love this story got on the first chapter alone! You guys are nuts! We hope you have enjoyed this chapter of Flintlock, let us know. Comments give us power.
Himiko had woken up the moment the plane landed and couldn't wait to see Japan. Sure she knew she was from the country originally, but she barely had any memories of it, at least any that she could recall…
Looking across the aisle she saw Jin sprawled out across all three seats in his row, snoring contently for once. She was glad, her big brother didn't sleep enough as it was, so any sleep he could get was a good thing. She quickly cast her gaze next to her at the sleeping form of her big sister and noticed that she too was sleeping, though not as restful as Jin was.
Her face was as calm as ever, so Himiko doubted she was having a nightmare, but the twitching of her prosthetic arm gave the young girl pause. Izumi had always been a pretty heavy sleeper, and she barely ever moved so seeing her move, even minute movements like a twitch surprised her.
The flight attendant stopped by to wake Izumi up, but Himiko waved her off "I'll wake her up miss! Don't worry about it!" she smiled and the attendant smiled back and nodded before turning to Jin and gently shaking him awake…
It wasn't very effective and the man kept snoring away blissfully. Himiko giggled at the putout expression on the attendant's face. "Let him sleep some more, Izumi's normally the only one besides Papa that can wake him up." Once more the attendant nodded to her and wandered off to do her job, while Himiko leaned over and whispered in Izumi's ear.
"Sis! It's time to wake up! We're here!" Izumi didn't even budge at that which didn't surprise Himiko in the slightest. It was time to bring out the big guns!
She was just about to reach over to give Izumi a quick shove, when Izumi's prosthetic shot up and grabbed her arm. Not hard, but enough to startle and cause Himiko to jump in her seat. Looking at her sister's face, she looked into Izumi's eyes and noticed that it seemed as if she was looking past Himiko before she focused on her little sister's face and smiled.
"Gotcha!" Izumi quickly let go and stretched while Himiko nervously giggled at her sister's antics.
"Y…yeah, good one sis. Would you mind waking Jin up? The flight attendant tried but…" Himiko gestured over to their brother who was still singing the song of a car's engine and Izumi groaned.
"Of course he is," she rubbed the sleep from her eyes before taking one of her red tennis shoes off and chucking it at their brother. "JinJin, wake up! We're in Japan!" she shouted. When shoe one didn't work she quickly resorted to shoe two which smacked Jin straight in the face and caused him to shoot up with a start, holding his nose.
"Ow! What the hell Izu! It didn't hurt! Do you're worst!" he shouted, holding his nose. Izumi quickly made her way over to him and apologized while lifting his mask to make sure she didn't cause a nose bleed. While she did that Himiko stared at her, eyes narrowed in thought.
'Maybe I was imagining it' Himiko thought, her mind replaying Izumi's face the moment she woke up repeatedly.
Was it just her mind making things up? Or did Izumi wake up looking incredibly lost?
After thanking the flight staff, they were ushered towards customs, the pilot reassuring Izumi that all of her belongings would be shipped to their place of residence once they settle in (Izumi knew her mom was still in the small apartment she grew up in, so it wasn't going there…maybe she could rent a place?)
After signing some paperwork and letting them know that no, she wasn't a terrorist, yes she was a pro-hero, and other asinine things they were finally able to make their way out to the exit.
Quickly flicking on her sunglasses she smiled and took a deep breath, "Well guys," she turned to Jin and Himiko, who both looked nervous (at least Himiko did, she couldn't tell through Jin's mask). "Let's go meet Mama and get this show on the road!"
Neither of them seemed very enthused about Izumi's proclamation…maybe it was Jetlag. Filing that away for later, she hefted her suitcase and walked outside, intent on finding her mother quickly so she could finally introduce her to her other kids properly.
Luckily, Izumi didn't have to look all that long, in the distance past the sea of faces she quickly caught sight of her mother in the distance, with a sharp whistle in her direction her mother turned and her eyes lit up immediately upon seeing her daughter. She quickly raced over towards the trio, pushing through the crowds as kindly as she could to get to them.
"Izumi!" She barely had time to react when a small green missile launched itself at her. She quickly dropped her suitcase and quickly opened her arms to let her mom hug her.
"Oh my God! I've missed you so much! Video calls don't do you justice, look at how big you are!" Inko pulled away and smiled up at her much taller daughter. Inko stood at a relatively short five foot three inches tall, while Izumi clocked in at an impressive five foot eight, impressive for any woman from both sides of her family and something she was incredibly proud of. Inko quickly cupped her daughter's face with both hands "Have you been eating right? How's your father? How's your arm? Hows…" she was quickly cut off by Izumi laughing and taking both of her hands in her own.
Taking a good look at her mother, she was slightly surprised at how much she had changed over the course of eight years. When she had shipped out to the States, her mother had been slightly overweight due to stress eating, with bags under her eyes from lack of sleep and worry over her daughter's wellbeing. Now she was closer to how she looked before Izumi's diagnosis as quirkless, she still had a little bit of pudge on her due to age, and she had some wrinkles that weren't there before but she looked a lot healthier than she did before Izumi left…
Izumi was glad and smiled down at her mom, her sunglasses hiding her teary eyes as she spoke. "Mama, I'm fine, Pa's fine, why don't you greet your other kids?" She thumbed behind her, and Inko's eyes widened, and her cheeks reddened in embarrassment before she walked over to Jin and Himiko.
The two shuffled nervously, with Jin looking like he wanted to just bolt back into the airport with the amount of fidgeting he was doing. Inko surprised both of them though when she bowed quickly and smiled at them before speaking.
"Hello! H…how was flight? Was good?" She asked in very broken English, much to Izumi's delight.
"Mama, they speak Japanese. Himiko may not have talked to you using it much when she was little but she knows it." Izumi giggled at the look of pure relief on her mother's face.
"Oh thank God, English is so hard…" Inko muttered before smiling once more at the two who looked incredibly lost, "It's nice to meet both of you in person, video calls can only satisfy me for so long!"
Himiko shuffled nervously behind Jin while Jin himself, remembering his own manners, bowed and said, "It's a pleasure to meet you in person Misses Midoriya…Please don't hate us!" Izumi raised an eyebrow in surprise both at the form of address and what Jin had said, while Himiko just facepalmed.
Inko, though, took it in stride and brought both of them into a hug. "Now none of that! Just call me mom or Mama like you always have, I could never hate either of you! You're my children."
Izumi saw her two siblings' eyes widen in surprise as if they couldn't believe that a person like Inko was real. Then, she watched as Himiko's face burst into a bright smile, her fangs on full display from how wide it was. Jin soon hugged back as well, and Izumi had known him long enough to know that he was tearing up under his mask.
"Izumi." Her mother calling her snapped her out of her thoughts, and only then did Izumi notice that she was smiling at the scene before her. Turning her attention to her mother, she saw the older Midoriya's arm outstretched in invitation. And with that Izumi quickly joined the hug.
After the heartfelt moment, and a few passing comments from bystanders on how wholesome the scene was, the Midoriyas separated from the group hug.
Himiko and Jin quickly descended into a sniffling mess and Izumi chuckled despite her own tears forming. She was about to tease her siblings when her mother beat her to the punch.
"They're both definitely Midoriya's with how much their eyes are leaking right now." Inko giggled much to Jin and Himiko's embarrassment. She pulled back from the hug and noticed the embarrassed looks on the two's faces and just smiled. "Don't worry, Hisashi and Izumi are just as if not more emotional than you both are, you have nothing to be embarrassed about."
Izumi grumbled something about how she doesn't at least cause flash flood warnings to occur before getting back on track.
"Alright," Izumi said as she adjusted her glasses and grabbed her suitcase. "I've got to be at UA later today so I can meet with Principal Nezu. Let's get Jin and the Gremlin-"
"Hey!"
Izumi continued, ignoring her sister, "- situated at your place before I head over. Does that sound good to you, Mama?"
"Oh, of course, dear. Come on, the car is this way." Inko motioned for them to follow as she led them to her car. After they all filled in, they were off.
"Thanks again for driving me all the way here Mama. My own ride should be here soon, so you won't have to drive me everywhere once I get it licensed and plated for Japan." Izumi thanked her mother as they pulled up to UA.
Inko simply waved her off. "It was no trouble, Izumi. Honestly, I'll take any excuse to spend time with you after you've been gone for so long. Do you want me to wait for you?" She asked.
Izumi shook her head as she began to get out of the car. "No, this is gonna take a while. I wouldn't want you to be stuck waiting out here with nothing to do while I'm stuck inside filling out paperwork."
"But how will you get back?" Inko worried that Izumi would have to try and navigate her way back home. Her daughter may have been born in the prefecture, but after so long away she had to have forgotten her way around.
"Mama, this is me we're talking about. I'll find a way. Don't worry." She quickly leaned over and gave Inko a kiss on the cheek. "Love you. I'll see you when I get home."
"Okay, sweetie. Stay safe."
"No promises!" Inko gave her an unimpressed look. "Okay, okay! I will."
"Much better." Inko smiled before Izumi exited the car.
She watched as Inko drove off and disappeared around the corner. She let out a good-natured sigh. Her mom was just as worried as always, she honestly kind of missed it. She refocused as she turned around and looked at the school before her. She couldn't help but chuckle.
"It's weird," She said to herself. "I never did think I'd end up even so much as stepping onto UA's campus, and yet, now I'm not just stepping foot, I'm going to teach here if all goes well. Weird." She shook her head before she approached the gates.
"Well ah'll be damned! If it ain't the little Firefly 'erself!" A familiar voice called from the entrance.
Izumi's eyes lit up at the sight of the familiar gas mask before she broke into a sprint.
"Uncle Haaaaannnn!" She threw herself into the open arms of her Uncle nearly knocking him over in her rush.
Snipe chuckled and patted his niece on the head "Well ah'll be you've gotten so dang big! Last time ah saw you was at your graduation! You were still a lil' ol thing back then." He laughed at her pout and ruffled her hair which just made her pout more. "Ah'd love to stay 'n chat but ah gotta skedaddle and meet up with Kaina, she's been hounding me for another shooting competition and you know what they say, happy wife happy life!"
Izumi just smiled, "More like you've been hounding her, Uncle Han." At her uncle's groan she just laughed and walked next to him. "Well tell Aunty Nagant I said hello, and that I'd love to get in on that action when I'm free!" She paused, "Oh before you do, which way is it to Nezu's office?"
"Oh, yea the lil varmint did say he was waiting for you, You just go into the school and head straight, you'll reach an elevator that should take you straight up to his floor. Once there you can't miss him." With one last hug the two split apart, Snipe making his way to the parking garage while Izumi followed his instructions dutifully with a smile on her face, taking her sunglasses off and hanging them off her shirt's collar.
After a few minutes of walking and taking in UA's halls and sights like she was walking through the holiest place on the planet, Izumi finally arrived at Principal Nezu's office. She raised her good hand to knock but was interrupted when a voice behind the door shouted "Enter" to her. Shrugging her shoulders she opened the door and let herself in and came face to face with the Principal of UA, Nezu!
"Greetings! Am I a dog? A bear? Or a mouse? Who knows! But what I do know is that I am the Principal!" The quirked animal sat behind his desk with a smile and Izumi quickly closed the door and bowed to him.
"Thank you for having me, sir."
Nezu merely chuckled and motioned for her to sit. "For someone who's been away from home for so long, your manners are impeccable Miss Midoriya. Have a seat, and let's get straight to it!"
Izumi sat down and was about to begin talking, asking questions, and all around making an emotional mess of herself when Nezu stopped her before she could even begin. He pushed a teacup toward her with a smile and motioned for her to drink, while she did he began talking.
"Snipe spoke very highly of you during our last teacher's meeting, he said that you're his niece?"
Izumi nodded, savoring the taste of the tea. She swallowed before speaking. "Yea, he's my Mama's younger brother, he was adopted when she was fifteen and he was five..."
Nezu hummed and sipped his tea. "Well," he set his teacup down and folded his hands…paws? Izumi really wasn't sure what to call them, on his desk and smiled at her. "Enough about Han, tell me about yourself! Number two in the state of Texas is impressive but Number ten in the country isn't something to sneeze at either!"
Izumi tried to hide her slight blush behind her cup as she pretended to take a sip. She laughed a little. "I see you've already read my file."
"Oh, of course! How couldn't I?!" Nezu chuckled as he turned his computer monitor towards Izumi, with her file on the screen. "Naturally I'd look into anyone I was considering offering a job to here, but with you being so young, I admit I was quite eager to see what you've accomplished in such a short time!" Nezu's gaze then landed on Izumi's prosthetic arm. "It's a shame... that it came at such a heavy cost."
Izumi followed his gaze. "Oh, that." She shrugged as she sipped her tea again. "It's fine, I came to terms with it a long while ago." She then chuckled as she lifted her right hand and tapped her head beside her right eye.
"I had to keep my eye on what was ahead of me." As she said this, her right eye gave off a faint green glow.
Nezu's eyes widened before he himself chuckled at Izumi's pun. "My, my. The files never mentioned a cybernetic eye. Same operation?"
"It was messy. It was more than worth it, but still messy." She made a face before sipping the last of her tea and then was immediately offered more by Nezu, which she accepted with thanks.
"So, I'm sure you're wondering why exactly we are in need of your services here." The animal said as he topped off his own cup of tea.
"Yeah, all I know is that you need someone to fill a teaching position. Not much more than that." She bit her lip, debating whether to voice her other thoughts. But before she knew it she was already asking, "Sir, is the only reason I'm here is because of my Uncle's recommendation? I've never taught before. Heck, I've only been out of university for a year! I'm sure there are other heroes who could have taken the position, so why choose me?" Almost immediately she backpedaled. "N-not that I'm not grateful for the opportunity! I'm over the moon! It's just that-"
"Miss Midoriya."
Izumi immediately stopped rambling.
"Thank you." Nezu set his cup down and looked Izumi in the eye. She had to admit that the Principal's black beady eyes were a little unsettling. "The reason you were chosen was in a way due to Snipe's recommendation. But that was only the spark."
He nodded back towards the computer. "Again, I've read your file. You're a hard worker who knows the value and risk of the job. You know what can and can't happen when one dons their hero costume. You've shown that you take your work seriously when it matters, but there's also an energy about you that, for lack of a better term, screams safety and comfort."
"I only hire the best. And you're sitting here right now, what does that tell you?" He didn't continue further, letting what he said sink in as he picked his cup back up and drank his tea.
Izumi felt her blush deepen, but she couldn't keep one important question from coming out of her mouth…
"What about my quriklessness…"
Nezu, though, merely raised an eyebrow. "What about it?"
Izumi hadn't been insecure about her lack of a quirk for a very, very long time. America didn't have the same stigma about quirklessness that Japan did. After all, as the old saying went, 'God made men and Sam Colt made them equal'. No one wanted to fuck with the quirkless guy who could legally pull out a machine gun to defend himself, and because of quirks the US Government had relaxed gun laws to the point where Izumi, if she wanted COULD pull out a machine gun in public… within reason…
But hearing Nezu validate her existence, validate her will and drive to be a hero? After years of being told by her home country that she couldn't do it? It made her day and she couldn't help it. She started crying profusely, tears leaking from her good eye like a river. They had removed her right eye's tear ducts when they implanted the cybernetic eye, something about her tears causing damage to the eye itself as well as the wiring…
And also because no one wanted to see a person crying tears of blood. Gross.
"Sorry, I'm so sorry!" Izumi apologized as she calmed down, Nezu handing her a box of tissues without a word. "It honestly just felt so good to hear someone say that for once. I couldn't stop myself."
"Oh, it is no problem at all Miss Midoriya. I care little for quirks. What I care about is how effective the individual is." Nezu explained. "And you, my dear, are very effective."
Izumi finished cleaning herself up and laughed a bit. "Thank you, sir. I'll try to live up to my reputation."
"I have no doubt you will." The Principal then hopped off his chair and began making his way to the door, prompting Izumi to follow him. "Now, let's go meet your fellow co-workers, as well as meet the man you'll be co-teaching the hero course with."
"Lead the way, sir."
The two made their way to the teacher's lounge, Nezu giving an impromptu tour of anything relevant that was on their path, promising Izumi that she'd get a proper tour and a chance to explore the campus and its facilities later.
Nezu stopped in front of a door and tried to reach the handle, but his size didn't allow it. He turned to Izumi with his ever-present smile. "Apologies Miss Midoriya. I usually enter these rooms on the shoulders of someone. Or a vent, but I doubt you would have fit in such a tight space."
"Oh, allow me." She reached her arm down and allowed Nezu to scurry up it and situate himself on her shoulder, before opening the door…
To a hobo trying to strangle a cockatoo.
"How many times do I have to tell you? Stop moving my jelly packets out of the teacher's lounge fridge!" The hobo growled as he pulled his scarf around the cockatoo's neck.
"There was no space…" The cockatoo managed to get out.
A woman in the corner who was filming the whole thing decided to finally step in. "Shouta, let Mic go and I'll send you cat pics."
"... Which ones?"
"Cookie and Cream."
Immediately the Hobo let the bird, err man, he was strangling go.
He stood up and rubbed his neck. "Thanks, Nem. I owe you one."
The woman winked at him before seemingly noticing Izumi and Nezu standing at the door.
"Um… hello." She waved, drawing everyone in the lounge's attention. What the fuck did I just walk in on?
Midnight was about to greet the absolutely STUNNING young beauty before her, but someone else had managed to beat her to the punch.
"...Young Midoriya?" The skeletal man in the corner whispered.
Immediately Izumi turned toward him and her nervous smile changed into a wide grin as she quickly lifted Nezu off her shoulder and placed him on the big table in the middle of the room. After receiving a quick thank you from the Principal she rushed towards the Skeleton and launched herself at him. "UNCLE MIGHT!"
Luckily for Toshinori, he hadn't used all of his time for the day, so the moment Izumi began racing at him like a green missile he buffed up and grabbed her out of the sky in a fierce hug.
"HAHAHA! YOUNG MIDORIYA… IS HERE!" All Might began to twirl Izumi in the air like she was a child and not a twenty-two-year-old woman as the two of them laughed uproariously at their reunion. All the while the gathered teachers watched in amusement, or in Shouta's case, horror.
Izumi heard the Hobo, now identified as Shouta, whisper, "Snipe what the fuck have you done…?"
"Well, now that previous conversations have been halted," everyone turned their attention to Nezu, who lifted his paw into the air excitedly. "TO THE MEETING ROOM!"
One classic Batman style transition using Nezu's face later, the teachers, minus Snipe who had his date, were gathered in the meeting room.
Nezu quickly took his spot at the head of the meeting table while Izumi sat next to All Might, who had deflated back into his emaciated form with a sigh. After calling the meeting to order he turned to the two in question. "I didn't know you were acquainted?"
Izumi rubbed the back of her head nervously while Toshinori chuckled, "She saved someone very dear to me a while back while she was still in school, so we've kept in touch."
Izumi just rubbed the back of her head and chuckled nervously, blush adorning her freckled face. She was busy trying not to fangirl over her new co-workers. But it was hard when they were all such cool heroes, dammit!
'Cute.' Every single teacher thought immediately, well except Shouta, he was busy trying to sleep with his head down on the table.
Nezu nodded to Nemuri, who threw an eraser at Shouta, "Head up, Shouta! This meeting is important, you can sleep after."
The eraser met its mark, and Shouta lifted his face, showing an expression that Izumi figured would 100% fit on one of those grumpy cat pics Himiko sometimes showed her. "Fine…"
Nezu grinned and turned to Toshinori. "Toshinori, you've finished your paperwork and filled everything out correctly, yes?"
Once more Toshinori buffed up and flexed "Correct! And I am ready to teach!"
"Good. Now all that's left is to get Miss Midoriya here to start on her paperwork so she can join you in the Heroics lessons." All Might immediately deflated with a cough, while Izumi quickly gave him a tissue and patted his back.
"Wait…" Izumi paused, and she took a second to process the reality of the situation before she lit up like a Christmas tree, her face alight with pure joy. "I'M TEACHING HEROICS WITH UNCLE MIGHT?!"
"It's more like you're babysitting him but yeah…" Shouta grumbled under his breath, but Izumi heard it and glared daggers at the man while Toshinori shrank a little in his seat.
"Wait, but that makes no sense. I've never taught at all, why would I be the one to babysit Uncle Might. Err, no offense." She said to her Uncle.
"None taken, Young Midoriya." The Symbol of Peace waved her off.
"Ah, I can elaborate on that." Nezu butted in before Shouta could fire another shot at Toshinori. "Simply put, your relative age to the students would help All Might to better teach, as you can relate to the students better. That, as well as the reasons I mentioned to you in my office prior to this meeting, mean you're perfect to help teach the hero course." Nezu rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "It also allows for Toshinori to rest his body more so he doesn't reach his limit as quickly." He looked seriously at both of them. "Toshinori is a phenomenal physical trainer, but he has no real experience teaching. You on the other hand spent time teaching your fellow students during your third and fourth year of hero school as a teaching assistant, as well as the sidekicks in the agencies you worked for."
Toshinori chuckled "Honestly I've never been the teaching type, to begin with, I helped plenty of people get into shape back in my day but I never really taught anyone how to fight…Sir Nighteye didn't need any help after all…" he nervously rubbed the back of his head.
Izumi frowned, she really didn't like Uncle Might putting himself down like this but she conceded to both his and Nezu's points if they really thought it was best…
"So how do we split this up then?"
Nezu smiled "Well I'm glad you asked!" He slid two files over to both of them before explaining, "This is the average lesson plan for the year one classes, feel free to modify it to your heart's content! Mind you, any radical changes must be approved by the homeroom teachers," he gestured to Vlad King and Eraserhead, "And myself they can go through but as long as you don't do anything too radical your changes shouldn't be an issue."
Izumi and Toshinori quickly took the files and nodded.
"Just don't try and kill our students on their first day eh?" Present Mic joked causing Izumi to point finger guns at him with a grin.
"No promises!"
"Well then!" Nezu clapped his paws together. "I believe this meeting is adjourned! Miss Midoriya, I'll email you the relevant paperwork so you can get started on obtaining your teaching license as soon as you're ready." He smiled at her "Feel free to bring your siblings with you when you move into the teacher's dorms as well, and your firearms and other equipment should be made available to you by tomorrow at the earliest."
Izumi smiled at the principal and dipped her head in a bow, while Present Mic leaned over to a very terrified-looking Hound Dog and whispered "Her fucking what?"
Izumi ignored them though and turned to Toshinori with a grin, "Would you like to meet my family? You can have dinner with us!" Her eyes sparkled with hope and Toshinori couldn't bring himself to shoot her down so he nodded.
"Very well, Young Midoriya! We can take my car!"
"Please don't tell me you still have that old beat-up pick-up truck, Uncle Might…" Izumi groaned as they stood much to Toshinori's chagrin.
"It's not that old! I'm older than it!"
Izumi stuck her tongue out as she made her way to the door. "Yes, and you're ancient." The teachers all let out a "Ooohhhhh!" in response. Izumi cackled and ran out of the room while Toshinori buffed up and chased after her.
"Get back here! Don't you run! Don't you run from All Might!"
"WATCH ME!"
Nezu simply began cackling himself. "Hiring Izumi Midoriya may be the best idea Snipe has ever had!"
Shouta just groaned and slammed his head into the table, hoping that the ensuing concussion would allow him to sleep through the next school year.
Spoilers, it didn't work. Recovery Girl just healed him.
And then she took his kneecap privileges away with her cane.
That, she did not heal.
The rest of the school Year passed, Izumi got her teaching license and her family settled into the teacher's dorms at UA. She sadly hadn't had time to visit with the Bakugous but she knew that would happen eventually.
She had spent the time she had getting acclimated to Japan's hero industry, as well as its laws regarding firearms and international heroics work. She also worked with All Might when she could to refine a teaching schedule.
The two had decided that she would be the "Primary" teacher since she wasn't on a time limit. He would teach primarily rescue, takedown procedures, and some hand to hand. Izumi would teach everything else, which she honestly didn't mind. Her Uncle Might did have a lot on his plate after all.
With Nezu's help, Izumi had managed to get Jin registered as a Sidekick under her agency. He wouldn't actually be doing any real hero work but his clones would be invaluable for teaching holds and other combat maneuvers.
Soon the entrance exam came and went. Izumi sat right alongside Uncle Might and Uncle Han, gushing to the two of them about each and every quirk she saw. She noticed Katsuki on one of the screens and beamed with pride as he threw one of the examinees away from a robot before disintegrating it with a blast from his palms.
'He's gotten stronger! I'm glad!'
Then the time came. Nezu even let her press The Button.
Her boss was right, watching the controlled chaos was fun.
When the exams were done and over with, she asked that the files of those who passed be sent to her.
She had homework to do before the year truly kicked off.
Oh! Maybe she can join Uncle Might in what he planned to do for their first Heroics class. His idea was to wear his Silver Age costume.
Maybe Izumi could do something similar.
Ochako was hyped!
This was their first official heroics class! They'll be meeting their new teacher! She wondered what they were like. She hoped they weren't like Aizawa-Sensei. His "logic ruse" still had her doubting whether or not she or one of her classmates would be booted out of the school at any moment. She didn't want that! She liked her classmates!
Especially the horse girl talking to her in broken Japanese.
"Pony, as adorable as it is, your Japanese needs some work." Ochako giggled as her new friend deflated a bit.
"It not fault mine!" Pony pouted "Japanese words hard!"
Ochako was about to try and give Pony a few bits of advice to help her out when she heard a laugh from outside the door.
"HAHAHA!"
Immediately all conversation in the room came to a halt.
"Is that…?" Kirishima whispered excitedly
Ashido leaned forward in her seat, nearly bouncing out of it "No way!"
Kaminari was no better, tapping his foot nervously on the ground. "There's no way they got him to teach us!"
Even Bakugou stopped ignoring everyone and paid full attention to the front of the classroom as the door slid open.
"I AM HERE! COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!"
There stood All Might in all of his glory, donning his Silver Age age outfit for the world to see! Ochako felt like fainting, she never expected to meet the number one hero, much less be taught by him!
The class chattered excitedly for a moment before All Might motioned for the class' attention.
"Yes, it is I! All Might! And I'm here to welcome you to Hero Basic Training!"
All Might then went on explaining how the class was basically going to help them ease their way into the life of a hero. Their "foundations" as it were. The whole time Ochako was busy trying not to accidentally use her quirk on herself and go floating to the ceiling… again.
"But that's not all." All Might held up a finger, and there was a glint in his eye. "You see, I'm not going to be your only teacher for this class. Come on in!" He gestured his hand towards the door.
Not a moment later, the door swung open fast and abruptly as a new person stepped inside.
Well, two new people. A man in a black and white bodysuit was being carried over the shoulder like a sack of potatoes by someone in an armored outfit, a cloak, and cowl over their head and running midway down their back while their face was obscured by a mask.
"Buenos días boys and girls!" The voice of the hooded individual, which Ochako could now discern as a woman said. "Who's ready to learn some shit?!"
Well… that's one way to make an entrance.
The class once more descended into a flurry of whispers, each of them wondering if any of the others recognized this new hero.
A noise to her side drew Ochako's attention to Pony, who looked like she was about to lose her shit. Ochako reached out a hand to make sure she was okay.
"Um… Pony? Are you-?"
"HOLY SHIT IT'S HER!" Pony yelled loudly in English.
Ah, so someone does know who their second teacher is.
Now if only Ochako could stop the ringing in her ears.
The woman unceremoniously dropped her hostage with a thud and pointed a thumb in her direction. "It's nice to meet you all! The name's Flintlock!" The now identified Flintlock may have had her face covered, but somehow Ochako was able to envision the smirk on her face as she said her next words.
