Vision would never consider physical aggression unless it was necessary and justified, Strange leaving Wanda in a planet that was being invaded by Thanos completely justified the fact that he had picked Stephen by the collar and threw him against the nearest wall.
"Take me there" he threatened
Stephen gave him a stern look and dusted his cape
"No"
Thor had to put himself between Vision and Strange
"Enough! We are already going to be under attack, fighting each other won't solve anything"
"He left Wanda!" Vision tried to reason with him
"And my brother" Thor reminded him
Vision stood back and sat down on a far corner.
Thor stood on the center "Thanos has now the power and reality stone, and since Loki carried the Tesseract...the space stone as well"
"We have to protect Vision" Tony added
"We need to destroy the mind stone" Vision corrected him
"That's a no from all of us" Steve spoke from the other corner "no one's life will be endangered"
"It's the only way" Vision spoke again, this time he stood up and seemed calm "it's the fair choice"
"It's the last option" Bruce added "we'll look for another solution but respect your wishes if we can't find another way out, thank you Vision"
Vision bowed his head in gratitude, no one said anything else. Bucky suddenly spoke up, he mentioned that Wakanda's technology might be the best option they could have, Wong took Bruce, Vision, Bucky and Sam to Wakanda, the others would stay in New York and alert them if necessary.
Stephen made sure to contact all the Sanctums he could and informed them of Thanos plan to get the infinity stones.
And just as he thought he could take a break and prepare himself he noticed a ship had landed outside his Sanctum and that Loki and Wanda appeared in his lobby.
"I hope you didn't miss us" Loki began "we apologize for taking so long"
He ignored them and went outside.
"I really do hate him" Loki let out and Wanda arched her eyebrows amused.
Steve and Tony ran to the lobby with all the commotion.
"Wanda!" Steve exclaimed and hugged her, Loki and Tony stood next to them awkwardly.
"Where's Vision?" She asked his friend
"In Wakanda, they're going to find a way to remove the mind stone without hurting him" Steve explained
"His life depends on it" Loki interrupted him "how do you plan to separate him from it?"
"That's what we're going to find out" Tony spoke pushing him aside "your input is not necessary reindeer"
"LOKI" a loud voice filled the air
Thor ran to them at full speed, took his brother in his arms and lifted him up in a hug, spinning in circles.
"OKAY THOR THAT'S ENOUGH" Loki yelled overwhelmed
The god of Thunder placed him down and wiped a few tears from his eyes "I knew you weren't dead!"
"Yes, I am aware thank you, glad you're alive as well" he added composing himself.
"Wanda!" Thor suddenly noticed her and gave her a less agressive big welcome home, she was surprised since she really didn't remember ever talking to Thor before that "thank you for not leaving my insufferable brother alone"
"Let her breath, she's had enough action for today" Loki told him "she managed to enchant Thanos from afar"
"You faced Thanos?" A stranger's voice asked behind them, a green skinned woman walked through the door, with her another alien girl, a man and an annoyed Stephen Strange.
"I gave him an illusion so he could not see me hiding" she explained
"And convinced him to listen to me" Loki added "I've never heard about anyone being able to deceive him"
"No" the woman agreed "I am Gamora, I know him, we need to keep the stones hidden"
"I'm afraid the only one that remains unknown is the soul stone" Stephen said
"Where are the rest?" She asked
"That is confidential" he answered
She rolled her eyes "they can't stay in the same place, and less in the same room"
"The mind stone has been sent to another location" Steve reassured her
"And Loki..." Thor put his arm around him and began pressing him "give the Tesseract"
Loki brushed him off and reappeared it "Fine, here it is"
Thor took it and patted his head "Good Loki is the best Loki"
The god of mischief stabbed him, Thor didn't even flinch and everyone just stared.
"It's fine, he does this all the time, he's good now" Thor calmed them down and began investigating the cube.
"And I thought we were dysfunctional" Quill whispered to Gamora.
Thor took out Loki's dagger of his side and cleaned it with his brother's cape, Loki took it off in disgust.
Thor gently pushed the knife through the cube and it opened, uncovering a small blue stone.
"Should we stab it as well?" Tony asked half amused
Thor offered it to Stephen, he took it and placed it on a table, the Supreme Sorcerer began casting spells against it, one after another did nothing to the stone.
"Let Wanda try" Loki suddenly spoke "her power came from one of them, perhaps she can affect it"
She felt both flattered and panicked, everyone stared waiting, her red energy covered the blue stone and it seemed for a few moments as if it responded to her, however the space stone remained exactly the same.
"Okay hear me out" Tony butted in, he took it in his hand and simply dropped it on the floor and stepped on it.
"Are you done?" Strange asked annoyed
"Just checking" Stark excused himself and returned the stone to the table
"How about your hammer, Thor?" Steve asked him
"Perhaps it could help... however Mjolnir was destroyed, I could have a special weapon forged"
"We need it as soon as possible, make sure it works" Stephen told him
"We have and extra pod" Gamora offered "take it with you, Drax and Rocket can help you get anywhere you want"
"What about the stone? She's right, we can't keep them all here" Tony asked
"I'll take it somewhere else" Loki offered
"No" Stephen began
"I've already proven to be trustworthy, and as much as you may not believe me, I have no intention of seeing Thanos as master of the universe, we did not part on friendly terms" Loki explained
"I'll go with him" Wanda found herself offering
What are you doing? He asked her
Not letting Thanos go on so easily she answered and maybe we make a good team
He chuckled
"They have been the only ones that managed to face Thanos and succeed" Thor reminded the rest "the space stone could not have more protection"
Stephen took a deep breath "Very well then"
