Wanda told Loki about Stephen trusting her with the Space Stone.
"Where will you go?" He asked
"I can't stay here, what about you?"
"Somewhere quiet" he answered
"No more world domination?"
He chuckled "That feels so far away from me now"
She smiled back at him and grew dim once more "Stark's keeping Vision's body"
"Are you alright with that?"
"I trust Stark with Vision, he will protect him" she finally answered
Loki cleared his throat "I could take you somewhere peaceful and quiet in an outer oworld, be your guide, and then part ways"
She had never considered leaving Earth, it wasn't even an option, but perhaps it was the right thing to do. Staying here even in the most remote place would remind her of everything she had lost, she'd return eventually, but for now it seemed better to be anywhere else.
"Okay"
He was surprised but pleased "Alright"
Wanda said goodbye to the Avengers and Stephen, just the thought of Vision and Peter made her heart heavy.
"I'll take the location tracker, call me if you need anything" she told them.
"We will" Stephen assured her.
No one mentioned anything about Loki, not even Sam, who had seen their kiss during the battle. He understood grief, and to question it wasn't the right thing to do, especially if she hadn't asked for help.
Wanda took Loki's hand and let herself be transported to a breezy beach, the sun had a pinkish tone, she breathed the scent of the white sand. He lead her to a house by the beach, less luxurious than what Loki normally appeared to, but cozy and furnished.
"There's a town nearby" he let her know "you'll be able to communicate here. I'll find a shuttle and leave"
"Where will you go?"
"We'll see" he said with a smile "if you ever need me, I'll be more than happy to see you. I am forever indebted to you."
She nodded not knowing what else to say and watched him walk to the door.
"Loki" she called.
He turned back slowly.
"Stay" she mouthed.
He didn't need to be asked twice, he walked directly to her and pulled her into an embrace.
XXXXXXX
The lady from the market reminded her of Steve, her eyes were kind and she was always patient with their language barriers. English was apparently the universal language, but sometimes words were mixed.
Wanda walked freely carrying vegetables and fruits from the market, she had learned to cook and know their flavors by now, nine months in that paradise had been enough to make her feel a bit like home.
Loki cooked most days, she read Stephen's book out loud for him, they both had learned to enhance their abilities, especially Wanda, chaos magic was complex and mysterious, but not impossible to practice, she had found a great strength inside her, that strenght made her feel a bit less empty.
They spent evenings walking down the beach after dinner, barefoot and sometimes even drunk.
Loki loved calling her Scarlet Witch, he loved helping her practice and read. He told her about his mother, Asgard, Thor, and even his true past and the fact he was a frost giant. Wanda had hugged him that night, he hadn't realized how much he had needed that.
The next door neighbor was an elderly woman, sometimes she would ask Wanda to join her for tea, sometimes Loki accompanied them. She had sticked to blond hair and Loki grew a beard. They always said they were married and refugees of Asgard to avoid further questions. No comment whatsoever of Thanos, or Earth, it was far too hurtful for both of them. The whole universe was mourning.
One night, Wanda woke up to complete darkness, it took her sometime to adjust to the weak moonlight that came from the window.
She had fallen asleep in Loki's arms, she remembered being sad that day, they both had their ups and down days, he had come to her bedroom and sat with her, and they eventually fell asleep. Her hand was still on top of his chest, she moved slowly to avoid waking him up, but then realized his eyes were open too and he was staring at the ceiling.
"Can't sleep?" She asked, her voice rough and her mouth dry.
Loki didn't answer at first, she even thought he was asleep with his eyes open.
"You could" he finally answered, and then turned towards her "did you dream of something?"
She blinked a couple of times "why?"
He shrugged "You seemed peaceful"
Wanda chuckled, her whole chest ached, she doubted it would ever go away "I'm sorry I fell asleep on you"
"Do not be, I was able to rest" he said in a low voice
Wanda reached for his hand, she had to sort of guess in the dark, Loki laughed and took her hand in his. Without thinking much of it, Wanda rested her chin on his shoulder, her face almost on his neck, Loki put his hand on her waist so delicately she doubted it was there at first.
"Loki..." She called after a moment
He turned slowly towards her, his face almost touching hers, even though she could barely see, she knew the way he was looking at her and realized her stomach had begun to flutter and her heartbeat increase, her knee was somehow on top of his legs. She had never felt more hopeless in her life, and yet... she could feel this.
She moved her face towards him
"You do not have to do this" he whispered in her mind
"I want to," she said out loud and kissed him. Almost immediately Loki's grip around her had tightened, he held onto her just as firm as she did. She let her hands wander the body she had been thinking about since all of this started.
Her hands in a swift move began lifting his shirt, he sat up and did it himself, Wanda straddled him, his hands slowly made their way inside her shirt, he was cold but it comforted her.
Loki broke the kiss and lifted off her shirt, she took off her bra and threw herself at him, his hand made its way back to her breasts, she trembled involuntarily.
Wanda began to moan quietly, his tongued caressed her delicate skin while his hand firmly supported her back, she shifted and felt his erection. It hadn't been like this with Vision, but this felt just as real. Her hand reached the top of his trousers, Loki jumped both taken aback and a somehow delighted.
"Are you sure?" He asked
She kissed his neck in response, Loki pulled down her shorts and gently laid her on her back. She could hear him take off his own clothes. He traced her chest and stomach with kisses and with his tongue, she would have never guessed he would be a gentle. He began kissing the inside of her thighs, each time closer, until he finally opened her legs, his mouth over her.
Maybe for the first time in so long her mind was completely blank, all she could think about was pleasure, she shivered. Loki enjoyed being in control, she knew he needed it, she moaned and after some moments she reached an orgasm, Loki's tongue continued his way not satisfied enough.
She pulled back, he looked up unsure if he should continue, but Wanda reached for him in the began breathing heavily, she moved on top of him.
He let himself softly moan
"Wanda" he whispered
She smiled and let him inside her, he laid her on her back again.
They moved in sync now, closed to the rest of the world, only feeling each other.
She noticed his mind had opened, she took a peak inside knowing he would be too concentrated on them to say something about it. She saw something different than she had imagined, there were no schemes, no tricks, she saw love...for her?
"Wanda" he said her name out loud.
Enough peaking she thought, she would let herself enjoy this. She kept on moving with him inside her, his grip around her tighter but without hurting her, her muffled screams synced with his, neither of them wanting this to end. Once they came he buried his face on her neck, both of them panting and sweating, but mostly feeling lonelier than they had ever been.
"Are you alright?" He asked still out of breath
"Yes" she told him "are YOU alright?"
He laughed.
If he minded her intrusion inside his mind, he did not say it, she felt safe with him, she felt good.
She reached for his face and kissed him once more.
After a while they pulled apart.
"I should leave" he suddenly said.
She pulled him closer to her "Stay"
He smiled knowing she couldn't see him. Perhaps the world had been destroyed, but he finally felt with an actual purpose.
"Wanda Maximoff" he called her name.
She was dozing off on her sleep, she barely responded
"I love you" he whispered in Asgardian.
