Hey guys, Chapter 123 is finally back! This took me some time to edit and make sure all the details were as I wanted. While it's not TOO different from the original draft, it's now going in a direction I'm more happy with. Enjoy!
"Are you going out for the day Master?"
MAGIS was standing before Link, Aviel and Nemisa just at the front of the palace entrance. The maid had been living at the palace for about a week now, doing much of the cleaning, as well as assisting in cooking and making repairs to the palace.
"Yeah, just going to go on a snack-run and meet with some of my fiances and friends." Link nodded.
"Wanna go with us Sister MAISIE? It'll be real fun!" Aviel proposed.
"Your names for me are confusing Mistress Aviel." MAGIS said, shaking her head, "But I have to decline, I do not do 'fun'. It is a complete waste of time for a maid such as myself."
"Jees, and to think I used to be the resident stick-in-the-mud around here." Nemisa said.
"Come on, pleeeeeeasssse come with us?" Aviel asked, giving MAGIS the widest eyes and biggest pout she could muster.
"... ...I'm afraid not. Now if you have no further orders for me, I shall see to other matters." MAGIS said, spinning around and walking off, "Have a good day Master and Mistresses."
"Aw, but I think it would do you a lot of good!" Aviel said, but it seemed to fall on deaf ears.
"Hmm..." Link pondered to himself, "Wait MAGIS, I actually do have an order for you!"
"You certainly are a needy master, what do you require of me?" MAGIS instantly spoke, spinning her upper torso around to face them.
Link stared at the maid, "MAGIS, I... command you to join with me today. That is not a request, and I shall not hear otherwise!" he stated firmly, even folding his arm to flex his authority. He didn't normally like doing that sort of thing but...
"As you wish Master Link." MAGIS bowed, causing all three of them to fault over.
"That plan went a little too well..." Link sighed.
"Hey King Link, who's that cute little lady you got there? She a new fiance of yours?"
"W-Well no, but..."
"What's her name? And what's with those things on her ears?"
"She's called 'MAGIS'. She's a rebel that we're working to reform."
"Greetings. It is a pleasure to meet you all."
"Aw, she's so polite and pretty!"
"Oooh, and these are really nice too!"
"Please remove your hands from my chest."
MAGIS was standing still with a deadpan expression while being tugged and fondled by some Gerudo Town citizens crowded around her. Link, Aviel and Nemisa were just beginning to show MAGIS around the town, but were almost immediately met by a number of girls anxious to greet their king again after all that had happened with the rebel invasion.
"Aw, but you're so cute with your short hair and this frilly dress!" said one of the girls, "I just wanna take you hooooome!"
"Hey, come on! We're trying to ease her into things, and you're making her uncomfortable," Aviel protested, she looked at the blank expression on MAGIS' face, "...I think."
"Well in that case maybe we outta spend time with you instead King Link!" said another girl, coming right up and hugging Link's arm
"Yes, would you be interested in joining with us later tonight, my king ...?" her sister grinned, making sure her breasts were pressed against his chest, "We can both drive you absolutely wild in bed..." she spoke suggestively, twirling a strand of his hair in her finger.
"Hey, lay off of him!" Nemisa shouted, making the girls back off.
"Ah ha ha... m-maybe some other time girls." Link said grinning sheepishly, "I'm sticking to spending today with MAGIS."
"Aw, you're no fun!" "Eh, we tried." the two girls said with a respective pout and shrug before going off on their way along with the others.
"Ugh, honestly the nerve of them." Nemisa sighed.
"You certainly seem to have a way with the woman of this place Master Link." MAGIS said as she, Link, Aviel and Nemisa were back to walking down the streets of Gerudo Town.
"That's cause he's a handsome and sweet guy!" Aviel chirped happily, leaning her head against Link.
"Well it's not like I'm actively trying..." Link said with a sheepish grin, "But I certainly don't mind the affection... at least when it's not painful. The girls around here can be a little too friendly sometimes."
"But they are your subjects, are they not? It would be more efficient to just command them to refrain from that if it makes things difficult for you." the maid suggested.
"Still going on with that efficiency thing?" Link shook his head, "Sorry, but I don't do things that way. To me they aren't 'my people' or subjects or whatever; they're friends, companions and neighbors, and I'm just working to improve their lives."
"Yet you treat yourself as their king and live in Gerudo Palace like royalty." MAGIS pointed out.
"That was Nabooru's idea." Link said, "I kinda got thrown into all this when I got here, but I was willing to do what I could to make up for what happened all those years ago."
"...you mean about how you had the previous Gerudo king arrested, resulting in the war which took the lives of many of our sisters and plunged them into the threat of extinction?" MAGIS bluntly asked without a hint of sarcasm to her tone.
Each word she said took on the form of metaphorical arrows that impaled themselves right into Link.
"S-Something like that..." Link groaned as Nemisa helped him back up to his feet, "But while it's taken some time, I've finally put all that behind me. Rather than dwelling on the past or punishing myself anymore, I'm focusing on making things right for everyone, by appealing to the Hylian Parliament to abolish the banishment law."
"Indeed, that's something we've all been able to take from him." Nemisa nodded.
"But that is inefficient. Mother Eclipsis has stated it would be better to simply eradicate the Hylians with big stabby weapons of death." MAGIS said, "She has stated numerous times there's no chance the fools of the Hylian Parliament will listen to anything we Gerudo have to say."
"Well, I don't think like Lady Imono." Link shrugged, taking a moment to gaze over at a full-blood Gerudo and a half-Hylian one happily chatting together as they went by, "I don't want the Gerudo to be either outcasts or tyrants. I just want them to be a part of Hyrule as much as the Hylians, Gorons, Zora and Kokiri, so they can help build a peaceful future for everyone."
"... ...you are a strange person Master Link." spoke MAGIS.
"Heh, after being called 'false king' by the rebels for so long, I think I'll take 'strange' as a compliment." Link snickered.
"Hmph, so you are a rebel?" spoke the Gerudo Schoolhouse teacher Ms. Fareafu, folding her arms and tapping her ruler against her arm with a skeptic look in her eyes.
Link and the others had been about to go into a convenience store to buy drinks for the day, but ran into the teacher just leaving with a shopping bag in hand. Aviel and Nemisa had both went ahead into the store, and Link was taking the time to introduce the maid to the teacher.
"Yes, my codename is MAGIS-01, pleased to meet you." MAGIS stated with a polite bow.
"Hmph, I am not quite sure how I feel about a rebel walking around town freely like this." Fareafu said crossly, "Are you sure about this King Link?"
"It'll be fine, me and Nabooru already made sure she isn't going to try anything." Link assured her.
"Affirmative, my combat systems have been disabled, so I cannot beat up anyone as of now." MAGIS said bowing, "And until I am given further orders from Mother Ecipsis, I shall continue to serve the occupants of Gerudo Palace, even if they are technically the enemy."
"I see, how odd..." muttered Ms. Fareafu with her brow furthered, "Well I hope for your own sake that is true, because I will not tolerate anyone who hurts our dear king." she pulled open her ruler a bit, showing the blade she concealed inside, "Those that do will be properly disciplined!"
"You don't have to worry about that Ms. Fareafu." Link smiled warmly to the teacher, "But I appreciate you looking out for me."
"W-Well of course!" the teacher said, looking away from Link as she blushed heavily and adjusted her glasses, "I have forgiven Nilonu for being a rebel spy after all, I suppose I can give that maid woman the benefit of the doubt. Just do not allow her to deceive you!"
"Ha-ha, of course." Link chuckled.
"Hey Link, we got you and MEGAN some fruit bars!" Aviel said running out of the store with Nemisa following after carrying water bottles, she came to a stop and looked around, "Hey, where did she go?"
"Dunno, she was just here a second ago." Link looked around as well.
"Don't tell me she's up to something after all!" Fareafu said getting into a fighting stance, "She better not come near the children or I'll-!"
"Beeeewooop Beeeeeewooooop."
They all heard a strange sound and looked inside the convenience store, only to see MAGIS had entered at some point during the conversation and was at the magazine shelf. She was taking various magazines on display and flipping through them at high speed, the antennae on her head shifting around as she carefully read them,
"Scanning next media print. Beeeeeewooooop."
"Looks like she's fine after all." Link said.
"I wonder what she's looking for...?" Nemisa asked.
"Hey lady, this ain't the library!" the store cashier shouted to the maid.
"Oh, my bad." MAGIS said, she took one last look at a magazine before putting it back, "I have retained the necessary information anyway. I am ready to leave."
"Hmph, cheapskate." the chaser grumbled.
"So, what's all the food for Ms. Fareafu?" Link asked, noting the teacher's own shopping bag, "These treats for your students..." he supported a cheeky grin, "...or treats for you?"
"Of course they ain't fer me!" shouted Fareafu with her more casual accent, before clearing her throat and speaking more refined again, "I am on an errand for Sarami. She is rather busy with an important patient today."
"An important patient...?" Link asked raising an eyebrow.
"Oh Link-honey! It's good to see you!" Dr. Sarami spoke happily at her medical clinic, standing up from a patient she was seeing to and giving her husband-to-be a gentle kiss on the lips.
"You too Sarami." Link said, "We ran into Ms. Fareafu so we decided to drop by."
"Here is your food Sarami..." Fareafu said with a mild blush at the sight of her friend kissing the king, "It came to fifteen rupees..."
"Aw, thank you Farea!" Sarami said, giving Fareafu a chastise kiss on the cheek, making the teacher hop back in surprise.
"D-Don't do somethin' like that!" Fareafu shouted in annoyance, but Sarami only giggled at how flustered she got.
"It is a pleasure to meet you again Dr. Sarami." spoke MAGIS, doing a polite bow, "Thank you for your adequate assistance in healing me after my rear was handed to me by Mistress Nemisa here."
"Oh, it's good to see you up and about Ms. MAGIS!" Sarami spoke, "I've been worried about you after the last examination!"
"So Ms. Fareafu said you had a special patient you were working on at the moment?" Link asked.
"Oh yes, fu-fu-fufufu..." Sarami giggled, "I'm glad you came in particular Link-honey, I just know you'll be happy to see her again!"
"Again?" Link and the others peeked over Sarami and their eyes widened.
"I recognize that scent..." spoke a familiar voice, "Link, is that you...?"
They all saw laying on the medical bench was a very tall and beautiful woman with long white hair and striking blue eyes. She had the ears, arms and legs of a large white furred wolf. She wore a jeweled collar on around her neck and was dressed in a large patient's gown. Though one particularly striking thing about the woman was her stomach, which was large and perfectly round.
"O-Oh wow," Nemisa spoke with wide eyes, "Is that...?"
"Sheeva!" Link said cheerfully, running over to her, "It's great to see you!"
"As well as you, my mate." the half-woman, half-wolfos leader smiled, taking him by his shoulders and giving him an affectionate licking all over his mouth, which he took with amusement.
"So you are the patient Sarami mentioned?!" Fareafu said, a little startled by the woman's greeting to her king, she cleared her throat, "M-My students rather enjoyed having you speak to them in class, they have been pestering me about having you come back. So I assume King Link claimed you as his bride since then?"
"Yes, he defeated me in battle and we laid together that same night." Sheeva spoke.
"I see..." Fareafu spoke, looking away.
"Bride...? Master Link, who is this?" spoke up MAGIS, focusing on the wolfos woman, "She doesn't match the description of any of the brides I've been told about by Mother Ecli-."
"Aaah, this is Lady Sheeva, the leader of the Desert Wolfos far off in the west!" Link quickly interrupted her, "She's also one of my fiances!" he introduced MAGIS to Sheeva, omitting the details about her loyalty to the rebellion due to Sheeva's bad history with them, especially Meokuro.
"...I see, so you don't remember your true name? How terrible, I pity you." Sheeva muttered.
"It is fine, fluffy-tailed wolf queen." MAGIS shook her head, "It makes no difference, as long as I serve my masters, including the supreme and awesome engin- mmph mmph-mmph mmph mmpf."
Sheeva looked in confusion of Link, Aviel and Nemisa all quickly muffling MAGIS' mouth, though despite that she was still continuing to try and talk.
"Is... something the matter?" Sheeva asked.
"Nothing!" they all said forcing smiles.
"Hrm." Sheeva just took a close look at MAGIS, her wolf ears twitching a bit.
"So, is this really...?" Link spoke with awe, putting a hand to Sheeva's round belly.
"Yes, these are our pups Link." Sheeva said blissfully, putting her paws on the sides of her belly herself, "I figured you'd be happy to see them."
"Wow..." Link whispered, feeling the life within her moving around, and he gave her stomach a gentle kiss. "How many do we have in here?"
"Well from my examination, she's expecting a full litter of seven!" Sarami said happily.
"S-S-S-S-Seven...?!" Link stammered, his eyes starting to spiral and he fainted backwards, only to be caught by MAGIS in her arms.
"That many?" Nemisa exclaimed as she stared down at the wolf-woman's stomach.
"Yes, though I'm not quite sure why I haven't delivered yet." Sheeva said, "Back when I was a full wolfos it usually only took a couple months for me to deliver my pups. Is something the matter with me, doctor?"
"There's nothing wrong, they just haven't yet fully grown." Sarami explained, "Based on how long ago you and Link slept together I'd say you still have another four months to go before delivery time!"
"ANOTHER FOUR MONTHS?!" Sheeva exclaimed with her ears and tail sticking upwards, "You can't be serious, why so long?!"
"It's my guess that it's because you're only a half-beast now, and you're having a pregnancy more like that of a typical human as a result." Sarami said adjusting her glasses.
"So she's going to be like this for a while..." Nemisa stared at the woman's pregnant belly, she folded her arms and looked away with a heavy blush on her cheeks, muttering, "Lucky girl..."
"Yes indeed." Sarami nodded, before clearing her throat and speaking seriously, "And it's because of that we need to discuss something important Sheeva, I can't have you going back to your home in Grinder's Ridge as you are."
"Huh?" Sheeva asked.
"What?" Link looked up from laying on MAGIS's lap as she had been fanning him off.
"It's good you came out here when you did, because someone in your condition shouldn't be living in the unkempt state you do over there. You should be getting proper regular care to ensure all your children are born healthy!" Sarami explained sternly, waving her finger at Sheeva as she did.
"Tsk," Sheeva turned her head away with her usual stubborn streak prevalent, "I can't stay here, I have my people to look after. I've been fine bearing my young for years back with my previous mate. This should be no differ-"
As Sheeva turned to face Sarami, she was surprised to see the kind doctor now sporting a very cross and angry scowl, her glasses were giving off an unreadable gleam that managed to unnerve even someone like the wolfos queen.
"Oh boy, here she goes again." Fareafu said backing up.
"I will not hear otherwise Lady Sheeva, not from someone in such a delicate condition as you! Without proper treatment and examinations, it could endanger the lives of your children!" Sarami scolded her.
"Wha-?" Sheeva stammered, looking over to see Link had recovered from his initial shock and was standing alongside Sarami.
"She's right Sheeva. As your mate, I strictly forbid you from leaving town." Link stated, taking her paw and squeezing it, "I won't take the risk of losing you or our kids!"
"..." MAGIS just stared at Link as he sternly spoke to his fiance.
"Is... it really that bad?" Sheeva asked.
Sarami took a breath and adjusted her glasses, "Yes, besides it being a risk to your children, you yourself could suffer many complications; such as anal bleeding, convulsions, extreme fever..."
The faces of almost everyone there turned paler and paler as Sarami listed off so many of the possible side effects that could occur from an unmonitored pregnancy, while MAGIS herself just stood there with a deadpan expression.
"...leading to severe abdominal pain and prolonged-"
"Okay, okay, fine!" Sheeva exclaimed, her tail now sticking up all frizzled from terror, "You convinced me! I'll stay for as long as you need me too!" she put a paw to her head and let out a heavy sigh, "I-I apologize, I didn't realize it could be so severe..."
"It's okay, we know you're still trying to get used to your human side again. I'm just glad you understand." Sarami said, sporting a bright cheery smile once again.
"Dr. Sarami can be quite fierce, can't she?" MAGIS asked Link.
"Yeah, but I can understand why." Link whispered with a sad smile, "She lost a child of her own years ago, and she doesn't want that to happen to anyone else if she can prevent it."
"I... see..." muttered MAGIS, looking downwards in thought.
Sarami spoke to Sheeva, "Now, I think the best place for you would be to live in the palace. We have plenty of talented medical staff there who regularly treat Link's childbearers, and they can take care of you as well. There's plenty of benefits too; you'll have all the cooked food you can eat, many means of entertainment, and we can provide spa massage therapy that I know you'll love! It's different than what you've probably been used to living out in the wild for so many years, but I think you'll really enjoy it!"
"I'm with Sarami," Link nodded, "Really I'd love for you to stay here in Gerudo Town for good, but at the very least, I want you to stay here until our kids are ready to go out into the world, for their sake, and yours."
"Yeah, come on Sister Sheeva! We want you to be part of our family!" Aviel said.
"I... ...very well then, I think I'd like that." Sheeva said, sporting a slight smile at what Sarami said, as well as the idea of being able to live with Link, as she was also experiencing sensations deep inside that she wanted to act on with her mate...
"Glad to hear, welcome to Gerudo Town Sheeva!" Link said giving the wolf-woman another warm kiss
"Did you need us to send some guards out to Grinder's Ridge to let your pack know you're going to be staying here?" Nemisa asked.
"No need, I brought some of my kin out here with me, they can do it." Sheeva said.
"Arf! Arf! Arf!"
"Hahaha! Try and get me ya mutts!"
The group all looked out a window to see a bizarrely happy Reirousa running by down the street with two wolfos chasing her, there was a third one riding on her back, and a fourth one clinging to her wrist by it's teeth.
"...at least as soon as I can pull them away from playing with that woman." Sheeva said sweatdropping.
"Reirousa really loves her doggies, doesn't she?" Sarami giggled.
"Hey! Keep those mutts away from the kids ya damn muscle-head!" Fareafu shouted out, running off out of the clinic after the general and wolfos.
"Oh dear, poor Fareafu." Sarami sighed, "Well, as for me I have some more patients to take care of. I'll have the guards escort Sheeva over to the palace for rest."
"Alright, we're gonna show MAGIS around town a little more anyway." Link nodded.
"Wait." spoke up Sheeva, she turned to MAGIS, her blue wolf-like eyes staring right into her, "..."
"Is something the matter Mistress Fluffy-Tail?" asked MAGIS, spinning around and tilting her torso to the side, then raising up her hand, "Since you will be a resident of Gerudo Palace, I recognize you as one of my masters, and I live to serve." the maid converted one hand into a large hand brush, "If you wish, I can give you an ample fur brushing and petting."
"No... I-It's nothing." the wolfos woman spoke after a moment of unease, shaking her head, "Go on and enjoy yourselves."
"Make sure you do too Sheeva." Link grinned, patting Sheeva's stomach, "Don't be afraid to ask for whatever you want in the palace, after all you're eating for eight now."
"Y-Yes... I suppose I am..." Sheeva spoke, licking her lips while her tail was wagging.
As Link, Aviel, Nemisa and MAGIS left the clinic, the young king felt his stomach growl, "Hm, speaking of eating, I guess it's getting to be about lunch time. How about we head to the diner?"
"Alright! Wait'll you try that place out Sister MILLIE!" Aviel said.
"..." MAGIS glanced to the side, "Actually if it pleases you all, I have a much more efficient solution to your hunger."
"Huh?"
Soon the four of them were all sitting at an outdoor bench in the central park plaza of the town. MAGIS was rummaging through a tote bag she had on hand and pulled out three wrapped boxes which she distributed to the young king and his bodyguards.
"Sooo what's this about?" Link asked, he unwrapped the box and sat in astonishment of the contents. It was a lunch box crammed with various foods; like grilled meat slabs, some spicy cucco wings, diced baked potato slices, a side of rice, and even an apple strudel dessert, "Woah!"
"Oh woooow!" Aviel said gazing down at the ground beef patty in her box, "You made lunch for us?"
"When did you have time to make this?" Nemisa asked in astonishment, "You didn't even originally plan to leave with us this morning!"
"Just a little something I whipped up in case you all were hungry today." MAGIS said bowing, "I know by now how much of a bottomless pit Master Link can be."
"This is just 'whipping something up'?!" Nemisa asked looking down at a finely cooked lemon-peppered cucco breast in her box.
"This is exactly what I was in the mood for, you even got the right dessert I wanted!" Link said, "How did you know?"
"I've observed all your eating habits over the course of the past week, and consulted with the chefs about your preferred meals." MAGIS said glancing away, "I also prepared the food differently enough from what you've already eaten this week so as to avoid repetition for your taste buds."
"Wow... I'm not sure whether to be grateful... or disturbed." Nemisa said sweatdropping.
"Well whatever! Point is we got a nice lunch!" Link took a bite of the meat, and his eyes widened in shock, "This is...!"
"Oh no, did I miscalculate the zestiness of the sauce...?" MAGIS asked somewhat worried.
"Not at all, it's delicious!" Link said as he went to town on the meal.
"I'll say, it's so yummy!" Aviel exclaimed, as she scarfed down her own food.
"It... was my pleasure." MAGIS said bowing.
As the three of them happily ate, Link took a glance up at MAGIS, she seemed to be taking slight glances at the meals the others were eating as the antennae attached to her head shifted up and down. When she saw Link noticed her, she quickly turned her head completely around backwards, startling a nearby woman passing by.
"Hey MAGIS... did you maybe wanna try some of this?" Link offered with a slight smile, lifting up his fork with a piece of beef on it.
"...negative." MAGIS said spinning her head to face forward, "As I said before, I don't consume food. I relay on my supplement pills for necessary nutrients, and I shall continue to do so for the time being."
"What do you mean 'for the time being'?" Aviel asked with her mouth half-full.
"Once the exalted engineer of awesomeness Meokuro retrieves me and makes the final repairs to my body, I will become a fully functional automation." MAGIS said, "I shall be relieved of the impractical organic parts that burden my tasks, such as the need for nutrition."
"What?!" Nemisa exclaimed in shock, "You're seriously going to go through with that?"
"Indeed, they are much more efficient then normal fleshy body parts that bleed, break and degenerate." MAGIS nodded, "And they will ensure I'll be able to serve my masters indefinitely."
"But don't those parts make you forget things more?" Aviel asked worriedly, "What about your memories? Your happiness?"
"Mere sacrifices for me to carry out any and all duties as a maid." MAGIS simply said, shrugging her shoulders, "Is that not rational?"
Link clenched at his fork and spoke, "No, not at all. I'd never want to forget my friends, family or any of the memories I had with them all! And I would never want to trade who I am in exchange for power..." he thought about what he went through in the past with the Fierce Deity and muttered, "..again."
"...?" MAGIS tilted her head at the solemn look in Link's eyes, as Aviel and Nemisa both traded sad glances, having a feeling they knew exactly what he meant.
"Besides," Link stared down at the lunch box, "You made all this for us with our happiness in mind, that's something no machine could do." he looked back up to the maid and smiled, "Despite what you claim, I think there's a lot more to yourself deep inside, something you thought was taken away when you got your new parts."
"My bad, but that does not compute for me." MAGIS said shrugging.
"What he means is, perhaps you're taking your kind efforts towards us and interpenetrating them to believe it's only for duty?" Nemisa suggested, quickly catching on to what Link meant.
"...that... is illogical." the maid said, "I simply wish to serve my masters to the fullest extent."
"I'm not so sure about that." Nemisa said, "Because I remember being the same way Ms. MAGIS."
"...?"
"When I first took on the job of being Link's bodyguard, I always tried to dismiss protecting him as strictly just duty." Nemisa reached out and took Link's hand, squeezing it tightly, "But the truth of it was that I was lying to myself, the reality was that I wanted to protect Link because I cared about him."
"Lying to myself..." MAGIS repeated, then looked away, "That... is negative. I only live to serve, there's nothing that I feel beyond that."
"So you say, but it's like when you mentioned before that you spared my child-bearers because of a communication error, I think there's a lot more to that." Link said, "Even if you're not aware of it, I think you still feel for things."
Aviel thought to herself for a moment, before lifting up her fork with a small piece of ground beef on it, "Come on MAPLE, why not try a taste of what you put your heart into? It'd make me really happy if you did!"
"I..." MAGIS turned to stare at the bright shining smile on Aviel's face, then down to the food hanging on the fork. She felt something strange in the back of her mind, the antennae attached to her head shifted a little, "...if... it is your desire..."
The maid closed her eyes and leaned forward, putting her teeth down onto the piece of beef so her lips wouldn't brush against the fork, and started to slide it off. As the seasoning and sauces hit her tongue her eyes widened. She hadn't tasted real food like this for as long as she could remember, and her taste buds reacted heavily to it.
Link and Aviel both grinned noticing the small bit of drool emerging out from MAGIS' mouth, a sign to them that something deep inside made her enjoy it after all.
"Here, why don't you try a wing while you're at it?" Link suggested, holding up a piece of cucco.
"I don't..." MAGIS stopped herself, staring at Link's offering, "Very well." she took the wing and started eating at it. She was careful to avoid biting down on the bone, while getting every morsel of meat off of it. The taste was so alien to her; she had never been allowed to try food like this...
"Can.. I have a little of those potatoes?" MAGIS asked after finishing the wing.
"Sure thing!" Link grinned.
Soon the four were just about done with their meal; Link, Aviel and even Nemisa had all allowed MAGIS to have a small portion of something from their lunch boxes, and she was taking a lot more interest with each bite.
"Hey, wanna have a little of my dessert?" Link asked MAGIS holding a piece of apple strudel up to her. The maid looked like she was about to refuse, but stared at the piece for a moment.
"If... you insist Master Link." MAGIS said, starting to lean over and take a bite from the fork.
"Nom!" spoke a new voice suddenly, they saw someone had quickly snatched the strudel from Link's fork. It turned out be the fire mystic Kesuta, standing alongside her twin sister Korume, Kesuta had her hand to her cheeks as she was happily eating, "Mmmm... this is so yummy!"
"Hey Kesuta, that was for MACEY!" Aviel protested.
"Kee hee hee! Couldn't help myself!" Kesuta giggled, "Sister Ruto showed me how enjoyable it is to have your boyfriend feed you! Looks like even that maid lady was enjoying it!"
"Hello my dear husband, I'm glad to see you're well." Korume said, hugging Link around the arm and nuzzling against him.
"Snooping around again, you two?" Nemisa sighed.
"Hey, we weren't snooping! We were just passing by and saw you guys!" Kesuta said in their defense.
Nemisa glanced over and saw some empty snack and drink containers underneath one of the nearby picnic tables, "'Passing by from underneath there you mean?"
"Gack!" Kesuta flinched from being found out.
"You and your snacking habits Kesuta..." Korume muttered.
"Those red pepper crackers were yours!" Kesuta pointed out one discarded bag.
"Anyway, we merely followed you here because we heard the news from Sarami that the wolfos-leader Sheeva will be living with you in the palace now." Korume spoke, ignoring Kesuta's remark, "I'm glad she decided to come here."
"Yeah, turns out she's going to be having seven kids, so she'll be with us for a while." Link nodded with a big smile, "Though I'm hoping she ends up liking being here and decides to stay."
"J-Jees, a whole seven?" Kesuta exclaimed in surprise, "That's a lot to carry, isn't she scared at all about having that many at once?!"
"She seemed quite confident to bear them from my observation." MAGIS spoke, "I find that commendable, fear is inefficient. It is nothing but a burden that makes you weak, and holds you back from your vital duties."
"Did they teach you that over at the rebellion or something?" Kesuta asked, "That sounds dumb. We Gerudo may be strong warriors, but we got our limits!"
"Yeah, there's nothing wrong with being afraid of things. I mean, even Link is scared of cuccos!" Aviel pointed out.
"Ix-nay on telling erects-scray in front of the ebel-ray...!" Nemisa muttered to her partner through clenched teeth.
"Huh, I didn't know you speak a foreign language Nemisa!" Aviel said, making the dancer facepalm.
"But does fear not create unnecessary burden for others?" MAGIS asked shrugging.
"Well yeah, it can..." Aviel said distantly, "I'm afraid of a lot of things myself, but my family doesn't mind at all. They've helped me a lot through facing my fears!"
"Yes and she demonstrated great courage in saving a whole town from a powerful monster she feared." Nemisa smiled, recalling back when Aviel stood up to the Geelorokhi.
"..." MAGIS simply sat silently and looked away. Aviel stared at the maid, recalling an incident that had happened last week when she had knocked over a potted plant...
Kesuta and Korume meanwhile glanced to each other, and sported slowly growing grins.
"Well what about you then maid lady, isn't there anything you're afraid of?" Kesuta asked.
"Negative, Ms. Keeheehee." spoke MAGIS, "I am completely incapable of fear."
"Oh really now? How fascinating, kukuku..." Korume giggled darkly.
"You two got something in mind?" Link asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Weeeell, if you really want this rebel maid to experience true fear, then you should have her see what we've been working on together!" Kesuta said sporting a wide, sadistic grin.
"Ugh, I have a bad feeling about this..." Nemisa said, recalling the twins' bad habit of pranks.
"Kyaaaahahahaaaa... come one, come all to the mystic house, the Spooktacular Sanctum!" cackled a mysterious hooded being speaking in a low voice.
Link, Aviel, Nemisa and MAGIS were all standing before a large purple tent. It was covered in fake cobwebs and spiders, some iced-over tombstones were decorating the entrance, and there was lanterns with small flaming wisps floating around inside them hanging off of wires.
"Inside awaits heart-halting horrors and soul-shattering shocks! Will you make it through the sanctum alive, or join the spirits of the damned in this cursed abode...?" spoke the hooded figure with a fiendish tone.
Aviel was clinging to Link tightly in absolute terror of the hooded woman's words. Nemisa had a skeptic look in her eyes while MAGIS simply stared up at the tent with a deadpan look. Link himself though waved up a hand to the hooded being with a big smile.
"Hi Ms. Koleima, nice to see you!" Link said, "Kesuta and Korume wanted us to come test out the new attraction they're setting up."
"..." the mysterious hooded being paused, before they pulled back their hood, showing them to sure enough be Kesuta and Korume's mother Koleima, who sported a sweet smile at Link, "Well hello son-in-law! I'm glad you were able to come by, my girls did such a wonderful job preparing this haunted house! It's sure to be a big hit during the next Festival of The Desert Goddess!"
"Y-Yeah, it looks really cool... from the outside..." Aviel spoke shivering, "C-C-Can we go back home and go swimming or something?"
"Aw come on Aviel, this looks fun! You can stay by me if you want." Link said. He looked over to MAGIS, "Come on, you're going in too!"
"As you wish Master Link." MAGIS said tilting her upper torso to the side, "Though I fail to see the practicality of visiting such a place as thi-"
"Oh just go in already!" Nemisa quickly said as she pushed the maid and a terrified Aviel into the tent, with Link following after them.
The inside of the 'Spooktacular Sanctum' tent was very dark, with purple and black-painted wooden walls set up to block the path and create maze-like hallways. The only light provided was from very small lanterns with flame wisps inside of them, probably made by Kesuta's fire magic. There was also a cold mist rising from the ground, which they assumed was Korume's work with her ice magic.
"T-This is really scary..." Aviel said clinging to MAGIS' maid dress.
"Eh, this seems rather tame. Only a child would fear a place like this..." Nemisa smirked looking at the fake cobwebs and playing with the plastic spider clinging to it. She then turned to see what looked like the figure of a person frozen solid with a horrified look on their face. She yelped and jumped backwards,
"W-What in the hell is THAT?!"
"There is nothing to fear, it is just a ice statue built from elemental magic." MAGIS said as a light suddenly came on, shining right at a human-shaped ice sculpture.
"O-Oh, Korume must have created that." Nemisa took a breath of relief, then looked over to see Link and Aviel both sporting cheeky grins at her, making the dancer annoyed and decide to quickly change the subject, "S-So where did that light come from anyway?"
"That was me, I have a built in lighting device for visibility in darkened places." spoke MAGIS. Everyone turned to see the light function she had, it was coming from two particular spots on her chest.
"Why the heck are the lights coming from there of all places?!" Link exclaimed.
"It is the most efficient way for me to project light without interfering with my other functions." MAGIS spoke, "Shall I keep them on?"
"Um, it's okay... It kind of wrecks the mood." Nemisa said, desperate to make her stop.
"Understood." the maid said turning the lights off.
"Mhhhhooooooaaannn..."
"H-Hey, did you guys hear that...?" Aviel spoke looking around, "I thought I heard some moaning..."
The bird girl then felt a strange chilling sensation, and turned just in time to see what looked like a Redead coming right at her with it's arms out,
"KKYYYAAA!" she screamed out in terror and quickly hid behind Link, "A Redead! Link, kill it with your sword!" she then darted behind Nemisa, "Nemisa, punch it!"
"That's just a human Gerudo." spoke MAGIS in a deadpan tone, making the Redead stop in it's tracks. It seemed to be frustrated, and pulled off it's face, showing it to indeed be a Gerudo woman in disguise.
"Hey, I thought I was doing pretty good! Spoilsport!" said the Gerudo, sticking her tongue out and stomping off back into the shadows.
"As you can see, there is nothing to fear in this place." MAGIS said.
"That takes away from the point of coming here..." Link said sweatdropping.
As they went down the halls, a mummy-like creature called a Gidbo was clinging to the ceiling, before it came down to the ground in front of of them and lunged forward with a dark moan.
"Wwuuaaaooon...!"
"Kyyyaaaaa!" screamed out Aviel, jumping onto Nemisa's shoulders and hugging her head in terror.
"That's merely another Gerudo." MAGIS clarified, leaving the girl dressed as a Gibdo devastated and sulking that her acting was ignored. She pulled off the mask and walked off as well.
Nemisa looked in annoyance to Aviel who was smiling innocently, and yanked the bird girl off her, "Get off of me already!"
The group continued to walk even further through the halls of the tent. They suddenly felt a chill and looked to the right, only to see what looked like three fiendish Poes all cackling gleefully at them.
"Give us your sooouls!" hissed the Poe at the front as they lunged at the four.
"Kyyyaaa-!" Aviel was cut off in mid-scream by MAGIS stepping up and pointing at the Poes.
"Those are just three young Gerudo women." spoke the maid, making the three 'Poes' stop in their tracks and fault over backwards, revealing their identities to be Nemisa's three friends Sumof, Otuko and Ifemi shrouded in cloaks.
"Ah heh heh... hey Nemisa?" Sumof grinned innocently.
"Oooookay, do I even want to know how Kesuta and Korume put you three up to help them with this?" Nemsia asked sweatdropping.
"They were going around looking for volunteers, and we thought it'd be fun!" Sumof shrugged.
"Aww, I wanted to spook Aviel more! No fair!" Otuko complained.
"And I was gonna kidnap King Link while they were all stunned!" Ifemi said pouting.
"I think I got bigger things to be afraid of around here than ghosts." Link said sweatdropping.
The three 'Poes' all left to change out of their cloaks, leaving Link and the others alone again.
"So how do you feel now Mistress Aviel?" MAGIS asked.
"Well I'm not as scared as before..." Aviel admitted.
But just then, another ghostly transparent-looking being floated up to the group, wearing a hooded white robe and moaning out, as small little purple wisps floated around them.
"Oooouuuuuhhhh!" the ghostly being moaned out eerily at the group.
"Y-Yeah... I get it, this must be another one of our sisters..." Aviel said, starting to feel a little calmer at that point thanks to MAGIS assuring her these were all just their fellow Gerudo as actors.
"Actually that particular one is real." MAGIS said.
"H-Huh...?" Aviel asked.
"My paranormal sensors indicate that is a real ghost." MAGIS clarified in a deadpan voice. Avile turned back to the ghost who let out a long moaning noise right in her face.
"That's a... real... ooooh..." Aviel's whole body turned a pale white as she staggered and fell backwards into Link's arms.
There was a brief pause between them all, as the ghost seemed to sweatdrop. It pulled back it's hood to reveal it to be the spirit of a Gerudo woman. Link couldn't help but think she looked somewhat familiar...
"...uh, whoopsies, did I go too far?" asked the ghost with a sweatdrop going down it's head.
"Do... we know you somewhere?" Nemisa asked the ghost.
"Yeah, we met back a few years ago, remember? I was the one who lost that locket!" the ghost said.
"Oh wow, didn't think we'd meet with you again!" Links aid, "Hey Aviel, it's fine! She's an old friend of... yours..."
"Ayayeayeaye..." Aviel groaned out with her eyes spiraling.
"...maybe we need to just go now." Link sighed.
"Ya gotta be kidding, nothing worked against that maid? We went all out on it too!" Kesuta exclaimed with a pouty face as the group left the tent, with Link was carrying a passed-out Aviel on his back.
"Perhaps you've gone so long without pranking people that you've lost your touch, dear sister." Korume muttered.
"You were the one who planned most of it Korume!" Kesuta retorted.
"Everything in there was very simple to analyze and explain, thus I have nothing to be afraid of." MAGIS said shrugging her shoulders.
"Hmph, I thought the real ghost would be enough to scare her." Korume muttered.
"It was really scary, you meanies!" Aviel shouted out from behind Link's shoulder.
"Weeeeell... I guess we did get Aviel pretty good, so that counts for something!" Kesuta sported a proud smile, "I'm glad my crafty plan worked out!"
"Now you're the one who did it...?" Korume asked annoyingly.
"Where did that real ghost come from anyway?" Link asked, "I thought she crossed over to the world of spirits when she found her locket."
"Dunno, we sensed her just a few days ago and asked her to help us with the sanctum." shrugged Kesuta.
"We asked her why she returned to the mortal world, but she wouldn't say why." Korume said.
"Huh, that's weird." Link pondered, he looked back at the tent to see the spirit peeking out from it, and she quickly hid back inside.
Meanwhile two Gerudo children walking down the street, one of them seemed to have her hands clenched around something.
"See Rulifi? That's the place she was talking about!" said one of the kids to her friend, "The mystics' haunted tent!"
"Impressive, huh?" Kesuta said beaming with pride, "You kids wanna check it out?"
"Nah, you weird witches couldn't scare me." said the child with her hands together named Rulifi.
"Oh yeah, ya wanna bet you brat?" Kesuta asked, bending over and glaring at the child.
"Yeah, I got something WAY scarier than you two right here!" Rulifi said holding her clenched hands upwards at the adults.
"W-What is it...?" Aviel asked nervously.
"Check it out!" Rulifi opened her hands, and showed she was holding a small green worm-like creature which was chewing on a leaf.
"A... worm?" Nemisa spoke, "Where did you find this little one?"
"He was being attacked by a mean Octorok just outside of town. He's just a poor little guy, so I saved him!" Rulifi said proudly, "I'm trying to nurse him back to health!"
The bug looked up from the leaf to see the human before it and made small squealing sounds. It curled up into a little ring around the leaf as if to protect it's food.
"Aw, it's actually kinda cute!" Aviel said with a smile.
"He ain't cute, he's gonna grow up into a great big powerful monster, and he'll destroy all those nasty Octoroks!" Rulifi said, "His name is Fred!"
'Fred?' Link thought sweatdropping, "Hey MAGIS, what do you think of-?"
But when Link turned to see the Gerudo maid, she bore a look he had never seen before; she bore a very disturbed look on her face, her pupils had shrunken in, and her whole body was shaking.
"M-MAGIS?" Link asked, reaching out to her, but suddenly the maid lunged forward and grabbed Link's vest with both hands, burying her face into his chest.
"G-Get it away... GET IT AWAY! I don't wanna see it! It's going to-to-to...!"
"Huh, what's wrong with her?" Rulifi asked, "Fred's not that bad a name, is it?!"
"I don't know, I've never seen her act like this before!" Link exclaimed trying to comfort MAGIS.
"She's acting just like that one time..." Aviel spoke with wide eyes as she recalled what happened with the potted plant cleaning last week.
"Hm, I think I get it." spoke up Korume with a smirk, "This 'fearless' rebel maid is scared of cute little buggies... kukukukuku..." she giggled darkly.
"Oh is that it? Ha, told you Fred was a real scary monster!" Rulifi grinned proudly.
"MAGIS, is that true?" Link asked.
"I... … I..." MAGIS slowly looked up at Link, there was faint tears in the ducts of her eyes, and her teeth were clenched. Link had to admit as concerned as he was for the maid, in that moment he found her trembling and clinging to be rather cute.
"Um... why don't you go take Fred off elsewhere?" Nemisa suggested to Rulifi, who nodded and went off with her friend.
"Hey MAGGIE, it's okay! Fred's gone now!" Aviel said, trying to comfort her as best as she could.
When MAGIS took a small glance around to see the bug was indeed gone, she stood back up straight and smoothed her dress out. She cleared her throat and did a light curtsy to them all.
"I-It appears I still have some unfortunate errors in my programming, my bad." MAGIS said, "I assure you that was just a fluke, and it will not happen again."
"Hey Ms. MAGIS, what's that on your shoulder?!" Korume asked.
The maid looked curiously at her shoulder to see what looked like another green worm crawling on her, causing her to scream out and quickly cling to Link's vest once again trembling.
"KYYAAA! GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF ALREADY!" she screamed out.
"Keeheeheehee! We pulled off scaring her after all!" laughed out Kesuta, who had painted her finger green to look like a worm.
Two seconds later Kesuta was smacked face-first into the ground by Nemisa.
"That's going to far you damn prank-playing moron!" Nemisa scolded the fire mystic.
"Maybe we outta just go bring her back home." Link sighed, holding the trembling maid in his arms.
"Halei, what's the big deal?" Link exclaimed much later on that night in Gerudo Palace. Nabooru's personal assistant was holding Link by the wrist and dragging him into the main dining room.
"I'm sorry King Link, but you need to see this!" Halei exclaimed, grabbing him by his wrist, "It's the rebel maid lady, she's acting really weird!"
"Weird?" Link asked.
"I mean, weirder than usual!" Halei said, "Just get out here! I don't want to trouble Lady Nabooru when she's busy!"
"Okay, okay! What's the matt- HUH?" Link exclaimed, "MAGIS? What the hell are you doing?!"
"Ah, Master Link, Mistress Halei. Good evening." MAGIS said, looking up from her work. Her arms were converted into floor buffer pads and were running around the room at maximum speed, "I am just doing a through job cleaning the palace, as expected of a maid."
"I didn't even think it was possible to polish sandstone." Link said sweatdropping, as he saw the entire floor was now coated with a shiny finish. One guard was walking by, only to slip on the floor and fall over, "Don't you think you're overdoing it?!"
"Nonsense. I've also taken the liberty of doing the laundry of all the palace's occupants." MAGIS said holding up a tall, towering stack of clothes that went up almost to the ceiling, "I've arranged them by size, color and modern fashion trends."
"Uh..."
"I've also visited each oasis throughout Gerudo Valley to pick fruit for tomorrow's breakfast." she said, gesturing over to a humongous pile of various fruits.
"Not even I can eat all that!" Link exclaimed.
"Now if you'll excuse me, I must clean Mistress Halei's glasses for her." MAGIS spoke, with her floor buffers running at maximum speed, "Please stand still."
"Eeeeeeekkk!" Halei exclaimed with her bunny hood ears standing on end.
"WAIT!" Link shouted, quickly stepping between the two and grabbing the maid by her shoulders, "M-Maybe you should just take a break for a bit."
"Negative. I do not do breaks, that is unfitting of a maid." the maid spoke, she turned and went off on her way, "Now I should go back to sharpening the rest of guard's halberds..."
"You sharpened mine down to a pointy nub!" protested the guard that had fallen over.
"Ugh... I don't like doing this but..." Link groaned, "Wait MAGIS, I... erm... order you to come with me to my sleeping quarters!"
MAGIS stopped in her tracks for a moment, before turning her upper torso around and bowing, "... ...I understand, as you wish Master Link."
Link walked into his bedroom and stretched himself out as MAGIS slowly entered and shut the door behind her.
"Listen MAGIS, there's something important that I think we need to discuss..." Link started, wanting to talk to the maid more about her situation with the 'repairs' to her body she needed made.
"I understand Master Link, I am properly prepared at this point." MAGIS spoke.
"Huh? What are you talking abou-?"
Link was interrupted by MAGIS suddenly knocking him onto the bed of pillows he typically slept on. Before he could react, the maid had positioned herself over him with her automation arms pinning him down. She stared down at him with deadpan eyes.
"What th-?" Link exclaimed, "What the hell are you doing?"
"Target captured. Proceeding with mission objective." MAGIS spoke as her antennae shifted.
The young king gulped, could Fareafu's suspicious about MAGIS from earlier been true after all? Could she had been pretending to be incapable of battle in order to lure Link into isolation in order to ambush him?
But as he contemplated his what to do, MAGIS then sat up, straddling his sides with her legs, and undid the straps on her dress, causing it to fall off her body and expose her naked upper torso. As it turned out, depute her automation parts, there was plenty to her body that was still of a woman. She didn't have particularly large breasts, maybe a B cup at the biggest, with a trim waist and slightly pronounced hips.
"Beginning mission..." the maid said, reaching down and starting to pull off Link's trousers.
"HUH?!" Link quickly caught on where she was going with this, "Wait, your mission is to sleep with me?"
"I am merely following your orders from earlier Master Link." MAGIS stated.
"When did I order you to do something like that?!" Link asked.
"This morning before we left into town." MAGIS said, she put a hand up to one of the pads on her ears and spin it around, and bizarrely enough from her mouth came a voice that sounded just like Link's,
"MAGIS, I command you to join with me today. That is not a request, and I shall not hear otherwise!"
She then removed her hand from her head and looked down, speaking in her normal voice again, "That was your words."
"How the heck did you get that order from me saying that?" Link asked.
"Much as I learned your favorite foods from the chefs, I was able to gather additional information about your orders from the citizens." MAGIS said, she put her hand to her ear pad again and spoke in another woman's voice,
"Yes, would you be interested in joining with us later tonight, my king ...? We can both drive you absolutely wild in bed..."
Then she spun her pad again and her voice started to sound like Link's.
"Ah ha ha... m-maybe some other time girls. I'm sticking to spending today with MAGIS."
"Those girls that hit on me earlier..." Link realized.
"I was not properly programmed to pleasure a male, so I read up on vital information. The naughty magazines at the store were quite informative." MAGIS said.
'So that's what she was so interested in reading!' Link realized. He tried to get up, "Wait, time out MAGIS, you don't need to-!"
But Link was forced back down by MAGIS' arms, as she stared down at him with deadpan eyes and her nude form exposed,
"Now beginning with intercourse. Please stand by."
"Uh oh." Link gulped.
And that ends the chapter. Next time Link is on the run from a powerful rebel... who's trying to sleep with him...? How will he get out of this mess? Find out next time!
Again guys, I apologize for the delay with this arc. I've been going back and forth on whether I really wanted to go through with this arc, as I was not really feeling MAGIS' character, and found myself not really wanting to make her a major character in future arcs. Nonetheless, I'm still going to go through with concluding her arc, as despite my personal griefs, she's an important part of the story, and I intend on going through with at least this arc with her. Sorry about this!
