Cognito Head Cannons Part 2
11. Cognito can be shy but they can also be loud. It brightened everyone's morning when someone actually asked their coach if he could turn on his playlist during practice. In-Yo giggled silently along with the others the moment the first note rang. Several of them recognized the hilarious choices in his soundtrack, they were all absolute bangers of a song of course, and they snickered while doing their warm-ups.
12. Animals almost routinely stop by their favourite haunts at Cognito's stadium since it is located in the middle of a forested area after all. Wild chickens ran past while Pavlov was buying his drinks at the vending machines. Geckos licked their chops with a benign, knowing look while the captain watched them in the cafeteria at night with curiosity. A baby cat sat on their co-captain's shoe once much to his confusion, and it turned out to be a native wild cat whose eyes shone in the dark.
13. People think In-Yo is rather reserved in feelings. Just watching the match, maybe she has to be professional. But on any given day, she can go from angry to sad to happy to cool to crazy, in fact, there are many sides to her. If she likes, she will match your energy and rather like to stay where she is welcome. Whatever it is, she wants to stay true to herself and keep the good vibes going.
14. Cognito have two captains, actually. Their co-captain (the tall guy with the long dreads) theorizes that the Hogwarts house they get sorted into depends on the side of them that they most identify with, or are most comfortable with being. He is a Hufflepuff. Coach is a Ravenclaw. The captain is a Gryffindor, and Karl (guy with the man bun) is a Slytherin. Of course, the captain had them take the quiz rather than play sorting hat himself, which earned a scoff from Karl, and who was more interested in finding out what form his Patronus would take.
15. Pavlov the goalie (the others call him Pav for short) is younger than he looks. It's not only In-Yo who's the young one among her peers in the Super League. Pavlov's quite good-natured and even his insults don't sound mean. Unfortunately, he is also quite easily offended and if he starts singing from his angry playlist, or stops taking care of his hair…well no one will really know if something is wrong, to be honest. Other than that, he is actually very good at reading others and where the ball will go, once he lets go of his tendencies, and ignores In-Yo's controlling side. No tricks, he is just good.
16. A lot of Cognito peeps experience what they call sometimes, the white out, almost every day; is it dissociation, clearing the head and heart space, or just freedom from the overthinking mind? Either way, it is super welcome while playing in the Super League whether it'd be listening to music, meditation, having the heart cry a little, planting both feet firmly on the ground, or relief from loneliness, their mental health takes a turn for the better.
17. Cognito are grateful to their fans and those who have supported them.
Time felt surreal at the moment. In-Yo's eyes widened and she tried to look up through her long fringe. Cognito had lost to Supa Strikas, and after exchanging greetings, she was being subjected to scrutiny by Lena Long, who had climbed to the top in the Super League around the same time Cognito didn't. In-Yo's face was red with shame.
Her captain and the others swooped in between them just then, told the reporter off for her lack of tact, and brought his coach back to the reality. Instead, Cognito just had to talk to others who were still there and spoke to them far kinder and warmer. Her heart ached and she felt like crying but it was alright.
18. Karl is like the muscle of Cognito after Pavlov. He is a terrible loser (he attributes that to his fixed sign placements in his natal chart).
Karl Young was worried. While watching Ura Giri giving his interview, he knew that Nakama were very confident. Cognito have never won against Nakama...
"Are you awake?" asked a female voice. Cognito were finally in Japan to play away to Nakama and they were staying at the same place most of the other teams stayed at. While the others went out for a guys' night out and In-Yo went to run some errands, he had stayed in for an afternoon nap. It was now evening. He opened his eyes and got up.
"I am so sorry!" he said. The lady was setting up their dinner in the room. "It's quite alright," she laughed. He noticed that she was very pretty, and that her voice was like silk. "Hey, are those scallops?" he asked curiously.
While they ate dinner together, she noticed that he seemed down, and he confessed his worries to her. She had seen many a Super League team crushed during their stay here and told him there was no use in overthinking and worrying now.
Cognito still lost to Nakama but at least they didn't freak out and lose their heads over it.
19. The co-captain is rather protective of his coach. He is a real gentleman. She is very grateful when he offered a hand when it rained heavily. "Don't want you to fall down and hurt your leg again," he said. In-Yo wondered if she had that bandage around the same time Tiger and Miko sported theirs. The co-captain is also among the least scaredy-cat persons that she knows.
20. Cognito love K-Pop.
"I can't believe we're gonna watch my favourite artists!" shouted the Cognito captain.
His coach and co-captain patted him on the head and back. The three of them seem to look back to check for the dreaded black ocean, before turning again to the giant stage in front of them to wave their light sticks along with the crowd. There were loads of homemade messages in Korean and English as well.
The opening song and the idols lit up the whole place. The fans screamed and began the fan chant…
The End
Author's Notes: Pavlov's name seem to be based on the Pavlovian Response? I don't know what it is, I just happened to see it somewhere. Karl's name sounds a lot like Carl Jung, who I saw somewhere had fixed signs in his natal chart.
Edit: I was wrong about number 18. Now, that I understand things better. Karl uses his strength to eff around but when others do it to him...^^; It's not actually anything to do with the fixed signs.
