Hello folks! Chapter 130 is here, and a new dawn is approaching for Link, Nabooru and the Gerudo, because the big day has finally arrived!
The sun rose one fine morning in Gerudo Town, the golden light that matched the shimmering sands of the desert beamed down through one window of the palace. It belonged to the private room of the town's Head Lady, Nabooru. As the light beams came down over her face, the beautiful Gerudo woman stirred and slowly woke up, opening her eyes that were as golden as the desert sun and sands.
Nabooru stretched and yawned out, going over to the nearby fountain to wash her face. She stretched out one of her arms as she walked over to a wall calendar and inspected what day it was.
"Tomorrow's the big day." Nabooru smirked, "I better get together the last of my things."
Nabooru pulled a luggage bag from under her bed and started packing up whatever last-minute itmes she was going to need for the trip.
It had been a month since she, Link and the others were able to save Foluma the maid, and the day they had all been waiting for has finally come; to head out of Hyrule Castle and meet with the royal family to form a peace treaty with them, and abolish the Gerudo Banishment Law in the process.
"It's been a long time coming, a whole ten years since that war." Nabooru spoke, packing most of her fancier clothing, along with a small number of casual-wear pieces.
It took a great deal of paperwork over the past year, but she had arranged for her, Link and their family and companions to stay at the palace for at least a few months. There was a lot more to do while they were there than just the peace treaty after all. There was numerous meetings and deals they wanted to make with various members of Hyrule Market Town, to push their ideas and partnerships to improve life and business for both sides.
"Lady Nabooru? Good morning!" spoke a small mousy voice, belonging to her half-Hylian assistant Halei. She was already awake and wearing her Bunny Hood. "Glad to see you're up already, and you look as if you have no hangover either!"
"Heh, that's because I'm more excited for tomorrow than anything else!" Nabooru smirked, "And I bet you're pretty excited yourself."
"I can't wait to get to see Hyrule again. I was so excited that I already packed my things a week ago!" Halei said, "It's a shame I couldn't fit all the books I wanted to bring though..."
"Don't you remember we had to call Reirousa over to help dig you out of the pile you wanted to bring?" Nabooru said sweatdropping, "You know you can just buy new ones in town, right?"
"Ooooh yes, I can't wait to go back to Hyrule Market Town. I haven't been there since I was deported all those years ago. " Halei said smiling, taking a moment to rub at her hood's bunny ears, "And I hope I can see Father again!"
"Sorry we couldn't get your mother to go with us." Nabooru said, "But if things go well with the peace treaty that won't be a problem."
"Uh huh, thank you!" Halei nodded, she paused for a moment, "Hey, what about your mother? Were you ever able to get a hold of her?"
"... …" Nabooru stopped in her the middle of her packing, standing perfectly still.
"Lady Nabooru?" Halei asked tilting her head.
"She... couldn't come." Nabooru said shaking her head, "Never mind that, I was meaning to ask you if any of the reservations we made reconsidered by chance?"
"I'm sorry Lady Nabooru, but despite how much we offered for the rooms, none of them will even give us any replies." Halei said, "I'm still not sure why either."
"Damnit... I guess we're still on for that place then." Nabooru said, "Hope everyone won't be too sore about it. It is the reason we have to leave tomorrow..."
"Well, I'm going to go see if Sister Saria will be willing to let me pack a few more of my books into her bags, have a good day Lady Nabooru." Halei bowed.
"You too Halei." Nabooru said, "Oh, and one more thing... see to it you-know-who comes tonight, I want to show them off to everyone !"
"Oh of course!" giggled Halei, "King Link will be so surprised!"
Halei bowed and went out of the room. When she heard the door shut, the Gerudo leader let out a long sigh, thinking about what Halei had asked her about her mother.
"...Mother. Heh, like she would ever want to see me again..."
Nabooru shook her head and just went back to packing. She paused and reached under her bed, pulling out a case of wine bottles to bring along for the trip...
"Hmm... now what to pack...?" Aviel pondered, taping her foot as she looked around her personal bedroom. By her side was a large empty luggage case with straps to hold it shut, "Lady Nabooru said we're not going to have too much caravan storage, and to travel light..."
She stood there pondering for a second, before running right over to a drawer and started grabbing and throwing various things behind her right into the case.
"I'll bring this, and that, and some of this, and all of this...!"
By the time she was done, Aviel looked up to see the pile was twice as high as she was.
"Maybe I overdid it." Aviel said sweatdropping. She shrugged and pushed the top of the case over the clothes, then started pulling the straps, trying her hardest to get everything to stay inside.
"Hey Queen Klutz, what're you doing?" spoke up a voice, it was Foluma walking into her bedroom.
"Oh hey Foluma, just... eeergh! Trying to get my stuff all packed up... errrghh!" she pulled on the straps to try and secure her luggage, "...for the trip to Hyrule Castle!" she finally got the straps in place and let out a sigh of relief.
"Ah, right..." Foluma said rubbing the back of her head, "It sucks that you're leaving so soon after I got back my memories. It's going to be boring not having you or Link around..." she then zipped up and snuggled against Aviel, groping at her chest, "And I'm going to miss these luscious melons of yours!"
"H-Hey, hands off!" Aviel exclaimed, pulling herself away from Foluma, "You just can't help yourself can you?"
"Meheheh... sorry." Foluma grinned as her fingers continued to make groping motions.
"Well don't worry, we'll be back soon enough!" Aviel gave the maid her biggest smile, "And I'll make sure to bring back a bunch of souvenirs too!"
"You sure you can fit them in there?" Foluma asked looking over at the case as it was shaking slightly from the straps struggling to hold it together.
"Besides; maybe instead of groping me, you could take this time alone to catch up on things with Esolu!" Aviel suggested brightly.
"Ehh... I dunno about that." Foluma sighed, "It's hard for me to even look at her when I go to check on the child-bearers."
"Aw, come on Foluma... you know now what happened wasn't really her fault." Aviel pouted.
"That's what everyone keeps trying to tell me..." Foluma muttered, "But it's not just about her, I caused you all a lot of pain working for the Ebony Sisterhood. Link may be able to forgive the rebels, but I don't have his strength..."
Aviel frowned, "Well... I guess it's understandable you can't just kiss and make up with her right away... But I hope some day things work out for you both!"
"Kiss, huh...?" Foluma spoke softly, bringing her hand up to her lips, she shook her head, "A-Anyway, I'm going to get back to cleaning. You sure you don't need help with that bag?"
"Nah, I already got it set up just fine!" Aviel said grinning, patting the side of the case.
"Okay then, see ya." Foluma said, she paused and looked to Aviel for a moment, before walking forward and hugging her tightly.
"Foluma?" Aviel asked, wondering if she was going to grope her again.
"Thanks for being my friend Aviel..." Foluma instead whispered.
"..." Aviel paused, before smiling and hugging her with her wings, "Hee hee, of course!"
She waved as Foluma went out the door, but as soon as the door shut behind the maid, the straps of Aviel's suitcase came apart, and her clothes exploded out of it, going flying and scattering all over her room.
The bird girl stood motionless as one of her underwear thongs was now hanging off of the side of her head.
"... …ah nuts!" Aviel shouted, as she went right back to packing.
"Awwwww! Look at them!" squealed out a pregnant Gerudo woman. She and the others were all carefully watching three babies in the royal child-bearers' quarters.
Leivuri's child Tulisi, as well as Ragome's twins Safael and Irala, were all crawling around quickly on a soft silk blanket. Sitting among the girls was Link himself, watching his daughters with starry eyes.
"It's still hard for me to grasp at times that these are my kids..." Link spoke in awe.
"They're really energetic." giggled Leivuri, "They take a lot after you, my king."
"I'll say!" said Ragome, "At this rate, they're going to be taking down Molderms by the time they're eight!"
"Hey, they don't have to be soldiers!" Leivuri said, she patted Tulisi on the head, "They can be anything they want to be, right Tulisi?"
Tulisi stared up at her mother, before grabbing a rattle and waving it around giggling. She turned to see one child-bearer laying on her side watching them, and she crawled right up and bonked the woman on the head with the rattle.
"Ow! Hey!" said the child-bearer, "I'm not a Molderm!"
"Tulisi! T-That's not the way to behave!" Leivuri said, scooping up her child and scolding her.
"Shii-shii-shii! Looks like she has the heart of a warrior after all!" snickered Ragome.
"I'm fine with whatever they want to be, warrior or not." Link chuckled, "Saria was always protective of me back when I was a kid, but I did have an adventurous side that got me in trouble a lot.."
He took a moment to glance over at Esolu, the mute woman was sitting back feeding her own baby Noleire. He had been feeling a little awkward around her lately, especially after learning the truth about her past love with Foluma. Was becoming a child-bearer something she wanted to do to get away from her past feelings for the maid girl? He wished he could really understand her...
But then Link realized what time it was. He had been spending so much time with the girls that he had neglected to finish his packing for the trip, as well as go to see Nabooru about something important...
"Sorry girls, but I gotta go right now!" Link said, bidding them goodbye and going out the door.
Soon Link arrived at the door to the next person he needed to meet, and he was greeted by some servant girls who came out at that same time.
"Hey girls." Link waved, "Can she be seen right now?"
"Oh yes! Have fun my king!" one of the servants winked to him, as they all went off on their way.
"Hey Sheeva, how are you holding up?" Link asked walking into the private room of the half-wolfos woman, who was laying back on her bed.
"I'm dealing with it." Sheeva sighed out, carefully rubbing her large wolf paws on her bare belly, "Though this has been a lot more strenuous than carrying my other pups. Your servants just tended to me a moment ago, and I think they enjoy feeding me a little too much..." she reached up to her jeweled collar, "I should probably cut down on the food, this already feels slightly tighter around my neck."
Link couldn't help but notice that Sheeva's body indeed had filled out just a little over the past months, probably due to being bed-bound and given so much rich food and pampering, but Sarami had said gaining a little weight was important for her children. He didn't mind in the slightest though; as she had been malnourished living the wolfos lifestyle even after becoming half-human.
"Eh, you look fine to me." Link smiled, undoing the collar for her, then placing his hand down on her stomach and feeling the life moving around within her, "Just go ahead and enjoy yourself, you got another month to go." he frowned a bit, "Though I'm sorry I'm not going to be here for your due date."
"Think nothing of it. I understand you have something important to deal with yourself." Sheeva said shaking her head, "But back to what I was saying, when I do have my pups, I really need to work on losing this weight." she grabbed at some slight pudginess on her side, "I want to regain my strength so I can help protect this town while you're gone."
"Sounds fine." Link nodded, he gave her a gentle kiss, "I do want to thank you for choosing to live here in town for good after all, not just for our kids, but for your sake as well."
"The wolfos may have accepted me as their leader, but the time I've spent here has made me understand where my place is." Sheeva spoke, "Not just to live as a human, but to live among others as well."
"I couldn't be happier for that." Link sported a goofy grin and patted her stomach, "I think you've really grown a lot since we first met."
"Grown a lot...?" Sheeva growled, narrowing her eyes as her ears folded back.
"I didn't mean it like that!" Link said defensively.
"Come oooon Nemisaaaa!"
"Yeah, please?"
"Sorry girls, but you can't come to Hyrule Castle. Lady Nabooru said she could only make room for us to go as it is." Nemisa spoke in her private bedroom. She was packing her things, taking a moment to pick out a plushie of hers to bring along, as her three best friends Sumof, Otuko and Ifemi all were there begging her.
"But I still haven't found the man of my dreams!" Ifemi said, "Sister Ruto's bodyguard Zopem is a cool guy, but he has no interest in anything but protecting his queen! I need to find another hunk, and Hyrule Town's loaded with them!"
"Sister Aviel's been telling me about this professor friend of hers and I've been wanting to learn what he's researched!" Sumof said.
"Just give it some time until we settle things with the Parliament." Nemisa said rolling her eyes.
"More importantly... we're going to miss you Nemisa..." Otuko spoke up in a small voice, "You used to be so aloof even to us back after that whole thing with the slavers... but after you and King Link took them down, you've opened up to us more than ever...!"
"Yeah, it's not going to be the same without you here." Ifemi frowned.
Nemisa sighed and smiled lightly, "Don't worry girls. I'll tell you what, once we set things right with the royals, I'll bring you all out to Hyrule Town with me. We'll have a girl's night out, like the old days!"
"Even though you'll probably have married King Link and become his queen by that time?" Sumof asked, "We know how much you want to get started having a family with him."
Nemisa looked down to her flat stomach, running a hand along it with a light blush on her cheeks, "Yes I do... but I also want to make time for everyone else important to me." she smirked lightly, "Including all of you."
The three of them all smiled in return and quickly hugged Nemisa tightly.
"Well that's all well and good, but what am I going to do without my star dancer?" spoke up M.C. Tauvale, the owner of the Velvet Rogue nightclub that Nemisa danced at. She was sitting on a hair backwards and glaring at Nemisa.
"I said I'll be back soon! I told you to get outta my room!" Nemisa shouted, throwing a plushie at her.
"A few more touches... and here you go!" Saria said, setting down a carving knife and holding a wooden ocarina instrument out to a young Gerudo girl, her asthmatic friend Ilite, at her room in Sarami's clinic.
"Oh thanks Saria!" Ilita squealed out, "It looks good as new!"
"To think those rebels went so far as to break it when you were communicating with us back when they took over the town." Saria frowned, "Well never mind that, now with this you can contact me and Link with our ocarinas again, even while we're all out in Hyrule!"
"Yeah!" Ilite nodded, "King Link stopped by earlier, he said when he gets back he wants to take me to Hyrule Town himself and show me everything! It's kinda weird, three years ago I thought I could never leave the hospital cause of my asthma, but ever since King Link saved me from that mean thief I've been working to make myself stronger so I can go out and make friends, and I hope I make even more friends out in Hyrule!"
"Believe me, I know how you feel." Saria said,"Me and Kokiri were isolated or so long in the forest, but now we're going to work to see the world for ourselves!" she said, thinking about when she and Aviel were looking out at Hyrule from the peak of Death Mountain.
"Here you go sweetie, your chu jelly capsules for today!" a young Gerudo nurse said, setting a plate of the teal colored jellies down beside Ilite, "Dr. Sarami even found a way to give these ones a refreshing mint flavor! Just don't eat them like candy, okay?"
"Okay, thank you!" Ilite nodded.
The nurse then noticed Saria and bent down to get a good look at her, "Oh well hello there!" she said with a sweet smile, though in the process her large chest packed tightly into the nurse outfit bounced in front of Saria's face, "Are you a little friend of Ilite's?"
"Y-Yeah..." Saria muttered, her eyes averted as she tried not to stare at the nurse's bouncy chest. Apparently this woman wasn't aware that Saria was one of King Link's fiances, but she was too tongue-tied to point it out. She also noticed something that stood out from the woman, namely her slightly round bump on her stomach.
"Aw, you're such a sweet little girl to visit her like this!" the nurse giggled, patting Saria on the head, "I can't wait until my own child is born! Dr. Sarami says I have another six months to go!"
"Oh, congratulations!" Saria said, she was genuinely happy for the woman, but something still bothered her...
As the pregnant nurse strolled out of the room. Saria watched as the nurse's round rear end and hips swayed with her movements. Saria found herself in deep thought and looked down at her own body...
"Something wrong Saria?" Ilite asked tilting her head.
"Um, no. It's... it's nothing." Saria sighed, before perking back up, "Now let me teach you this little trick I figured out, it'll let you speak with me and Link at the same time!"
"Okay!"
"Alright Togau, that's the last of em!"
"Great work! Go ahead and take a break everyone!"
Togau and her ranchhands just finished gathering a group of livestock animals together in preparation for the trip to Hyrule the next day. Togau took a wet cloth she had over her shoulders and wiped her head down with it. Coming up her side was her pet cucco and pig Imra and Oseg.
"Whew, it's a hot one today." Togau said.
"Bawka." Imra nodded, currently fanning off Oseg with her wing. The pig just grunted in response.
"Hmph, at least try to remember to keep yourself hydrated, my daughter." said an old grumpy voice. Togau turned to see her mother Tusimu, who was accompanied by her personal nurse. The old woman was using a cane to help support herself, and she handed Togau a canteen of water.
"Na ha ha, thanks Mama! Nice to see you outside!" Togau grinned sheepishly, taking the canteen and taking a drink, "Just tryin' ta get the last of the livestock rounded up fer tomorrow!"
"It's hard to believe this day has finally come." spoke Tusimu, "A peace treaty between the Hylians and the Gerudo. After what happened with the war, I had my doubts for a long time, but it seems Lady Nabooru and that husband of yours came through after all."
"I didn't doubt em fer a second, and I'm gonna help em give that extra push we need to impress those royal stuff-shirts! I got some of my best livestock ready fer the trip!" Togau grinned.
"Hm." Tusimu looked out at the animals, seeming to be lost in thought about something,
"You still thinkin' about Mally?" Togau asked, referring to her niece and Tusimu's granddaughter Malon of Lon Lon Ranch.
"I'm not certain... but there's something in these old bones of mine that make me feel a bit of uncertainty about her..." Tusimu spoke, "I do hope she's okay..."
"Dunno if I'll have time to check in on her while we're on this trip." Togau said rubbing the back of her head, "But I'm sure she's doin' just fine! She's got Talon-bro lookin' out fer her after all!"
"I admit I was surprised to see Murin had chosen that fat, hairy oaf as her husband..." Tusimu said, she turned to Togau and sported a large smile, "But when she showed him and Malon to me, it lightened up that dreadful void I had buried myself in after your father passed away."
"I remember that too well." Togau grinned, "And when the day comes, I can't wait to show you the family I have with Link!"
"Just don't rush into having a child too soon my daughter." chuckled Tusimu, poking her in the stomach with her cane, "You have your whole life ahead of you after all."
"Na ha ha, of course Mama!" Togau nodded before taking out her fiddle, "So fer now, how about a little ol' tune for yer ears?"
"That'd be lovely Togau." Tusimu nodded, sitting down with Togau and the nurse, as her daughter started playing a slow version of the song her sister Murin used to sing... and the song Malon now sings on peaceful days at the ranch...
"If you're ready, lemme start giving you a once-over."
"Very well."
The former rebel Dr. Eifou was at the Gerudo Town medical clinic that Sarami ran, and she was giving a certain patient a very careful examination. She was moving her stitched-up hand under the patient's breast and feeling at the underside of it.
The woman was a very important patient of Sarami's known as Gonaeti. She had developed a tumor as a result of her recent pregnancy, and Sarami had came to the conclusion that it would had potentially been fatal if she tried to have the child. Sarami had gone to great lengths in order to find a possible cure for the tumor, even tracking down her mentor Granny Truttlo...
"Hm... pretty remarkable. Looks like the swelling's gone down big time." Eifou nodded.
"That's such a relief, it seems the process is working!" spoke Sarami, who was currently holding Gonaeti's newborn child Rimel in her arms. The child was sleeping soundly in Sarami's embrace.
"All thanks to you Doctor." Gonaeti said to Sarami, "I took the risk of going through with my pregnancy for Rimel's sake, and you worked so hard to ensure I'd be able to live through it." she looked at how blissful her daughter looked in Sarami's arms, "Of course if I did lose my life, I'd be happy to know she would have been in good hands."
Sarami smiled warmly, the doctor had been chosen by Gonaeti to be Rimel's godmother if anything were to happen to her. Ever since then, Sarami practically smothered the child with affection whenever she came to visit... but maybe a little too much affection.
"Hey Boss, don't forget whose kid that is." Eifou said sweatdropping.
"Oops, did I get carried away again? Fu-fu-fufufu..." Sarami giggled, handing Rimel somewhat reluctantly back to Gonaeti.
"Jees, you outta just have a kid of your own with the king already." Eifou shrugged.
"All in due time." Sarami said, she sported a small smile at the other doctor, "Though I'm happy to see how well you've come along yourself Eifou, it's been lovely having you help us here with the medical knowledge you have."
"Eh, don't think much of it..." Eifou muttered, rubbing the back of her head, "You patched up all my lacerations after I tried to dissect you, and you even gave me a chance at being a real doctor here... Can't thank you enough for that... and I'm gonna work to keep this place running while yer gone."
"Yes, with that I feel I can leave with good conscious." Sarami nodded, but then after a moment she got fussy, "Ooooh, but I don't wanna leave little Rimel yet!"
"Just have a kid yourself already!" Eifou shouted.
"Four hundred ninety nine... five hundred!" Reirousa said, "Whew, that's a nice little work out."
All the other soldiers at the training grounds jumped at a loud thudding sound, and they all turned to set Reirousa dropped down a gigantic boulder that she used for her personal weight lifting exercise. However, she had dropped it so suddenly that it broke to pieces upon impact.
"Whoops, well that thing was getting kinda light anyway." Reirosua said.
'The general is a monster...!' the soldiers all thought sweatdropping.
Reirousa went to the training grounds locker room and to her own personal locker to change into her normal clothes. It was there she saw a folded piece of paper inside that she didn't recognize, and next to it was a wrapped up package. The general unwrapped the package to see it was some of her favorite cookies, and there was only one person who knew she liked this kind, her king and her boyfriend.
"Link..." she whispered as she took the paper and unfolded it, seeing it was indeed a letter from Link. She read over what was written, and found her face getting more and more flustered, "J-Jees... does he have to say that kinda stuff? It's so embarrassing... that s-stupid dweeb..."
She went over to a full body mirror, though with her huge muscular frame she could only see about half of herself in it. Her hair was a mess from all the training she had done, so she tried to fix it back up into the short perm she usually had it in. However, as she puled at the strands, she noticed her hair was getting longer. She had been so busy lately she didn't find the time to get it cut.
As she stared at her reflection, she found herself thinking heavily about her appearance...
"I wonder... would he be happy if I..." Reirousa muttered, before shaking her head, "N-No time for that now, I gotta get to work on that special thing Lady Nabooru wanted me to do!"
At their tent, the twin mystics Kesuta and Korume were kneeling in prayer. A crystal ball laid between the, and they were holding their hands out at it. After a while they both stopped and let out a sigh.
"No good..." Korume spoke shaking her head, "We still can't make contact."
"Ugh, have we really gotten this bad at channeling?" Kesuta asked.
"You sure you're pulling all your weight my sister?" Korume spoke raising an eyebrow, "It looks like you have a lot to pull lately with that snacking you do."
"Like you're one to talk!" Kesuta shouted, the end of her ponytail igniting with fire, "With the way you laze around all day I'm surprised cobwebs aren't growing on you!"
"Maybe I could freeze that big mouth of yours shut..." Korume muttered, generating ice in her hand.
"Maybe I outta burn your hair to ashes!" Kesuta fumed, "We'll see how Link likes you bald!"
"Giiiiirls, what are you doing...?" spoke a low voice, causing the two to immediately stop their magic.
"M-Mom?" Kesuta asked in a panic, turning to see it was sure enough their mother Koleima, giving them both a stern stare. Beside her was the ancient Gerudo spirit Osena, holding a basket of goods that Koleima had bought.
"I thought I told you girls, no quarreling using magic." Koleima said tapping her foot. She snapped her fingers and conjured a pair of 'iron maiden' torture devices made out of ice, complete with spike-covered doors, "Or do I need to discipline you two again...?"
"No no no no no!" the twin sisters both shouted, quickly hugging each other and forcing big smiles, "We love each other, see?" Kesuta said desperately.
"Sa'oten, you sure got your vehvi in line!" Osena giggled.
"Now what are you two doing here, a seance?" Koleima asked looking down at the circle they drew and the candles decorating it, "Who are you trying to communicate with?"
"Well... we were trying to call out to..." Kesuta and Korume both looked to each other silently for a moment, before Kesuta answered in a small voice, "...Aunt Koofeti."
"My sister...?" Koleima whispered.
Koofeti was Koleima's twin sister, and a mystic of fire. The two had been close sisters together up until their seventeenth birthday, when they were contacted by who they thought was the Desert Goddess Aifet, and she demanded that they fight to the death. In reality, it had been their ancestors Koume and Kotake, also known as Twinrova, who was stealing the magic and life force of the loser to give themselves more power as well as eternal life. Thankfully Link, Nabooru and their friends were able to expose the witches' scheme before Kesuta and Korume had to do the same.
"It's been a while since Twinrova was stricken down, and we were hoping Aunt Koofeti's soul would be healed enough that we could contact her." Kesuta said.
"We wished to thank her for her sacrifice to our people." Korume said, "But we've had no success contacting her over the past months..."
"It's because they were doing that I was able to get in contact with them to begin with." Osena said.
"Ugh, I'm so sorry Momma..." Kesuta said pouting, "We also wanted her to be able to talk with you!"
"I hate those damned witches for what they put you both through..." Korume scowled coldly, "I hope the Death Goddess Nerif is making their immortal souls suffer in eternal agony..."
"Oh girls... don't worry about it." Koleima said with a softened expression, walking up and embracing them both, "You two work so hard for everyone in the town... and I'm certain my sister knows what you did to avenge her and break the curse on our family..."
Kesuta sniffled, "But still... we don't seem to be as effective at the spiritual arts as we've used to... I thought we made a break-through back when Desert Goddess Aifet contacted us, but she just turned out to be those creepy witches!"
"Spiritual power is said to steam from one having a clear and pure mind. I hate to suggest it, but perhaps it's due to all the lewd activities we've done with our dear husband that's tainting our abilities." Korume said sadly.
,
"Now, now, I don't think that's true at all." Koleima spoke smiling, "The two of you has done amazing work over the past years, you've even managed to forge such a close bond together that you were able to learn our people's ancient fusion power, that in itself is remarkable. Plus you're on your way to becoming queens of our people. I couldn't be prouder of you two!"
"T-Thanks Momma..." Kesuta said smiling through her tears, "We're gonna make you proud when we help break a deal with those hoity-toity royals at Hyrule Castle!"
"That sounds wonderful." giggled Koleima, "And when you two finally marry our king, I'm going to look forward to all the grandchildren you'll have. Now I want twins from both of you, you hear?"
"Kee hee hee, you betcha!" Kesuta grinned.
"Y-Yes Mother" Korume looked away, feeling a little uncertain...
Later that night; Aviel, Nemisa, Saria, Togau, Sarami, Reirousa, Kesuta, Korume, Foluma and Halei were all hanging out in the dining room, waiting for something important Nabooru had wanted to show them. Before them was a platter of delicious food that had been prepared for them all. Kesuta, Reirousa and Foluma in particular were all salivating over the spread available.
"Can't I just have a little right now?" Reirousa asked, reaching out to tear a leg off a roast cucco, but she was slapped on the hand by a spoon wielded by Nemisa.
"Not until Lady Nabooru says we can!" Nemisa snapped.
"Tsk, lame." Reirousa said leaning on her arms, "When are they comin' out? I'm starvin' over here!"
"I swear, you have no self-control." Nemisa said. She noticed Foluma was extending her automation arm out past behind the dancer to grab a bowl, but Nemisa quickly grabbed her wrist, forcing her to retract it, "If you can't wait Foluma, then eat one of your supplement pills!"
"Bleck, no way. I threw those out." Foluma said sticking her tongue out.
Nemisa sighed and roiled her eyes, only to turn and see Kesuta floating down quietly on her broom to grab a piece of sausage. She grabbed Kesuta by the arm and threw her across the room.
"Why can't you be more like your sister over here?" Nemsia asked, pointing over to Korume, only to realize the ice mystic as about to pour some scorching hot sauce onto a meat platter.
Korume spoke, "What? I'm not eating yet, but this meat needs something to make it more edible..."
"Someone stop her!" exclaimed Halei in a panic, "I hate spicy!"
"Don't you dare!" Nemisa shouted.
Suddenly the arguing came to a halt when the doors finally opened, and they all turned to see the Gerudo seamstress Miteito, standing alongside Leivuri.
"Okay girls, have a new look at your great rulers!" Miteito said proudly as Link and Nabooru both walked into the room, and they all gaped out in surprise.
"Oh wow!" Aviel exclaimed.
Nabooru had traded out her traditional pink Gerudo garb for new clothing, instead she wore a pure white version, with thin sleeves and pants slightly less baggy than usual. Her slim neck had a gold decorated band around it, which was attached to a red crystal on her new top. The top itself wrapped around her chest but exposed the sides of her breasts, giving them more breathing room. Hanging off the gold band was two long white silk sashes behind her. Her arms and waist were also decked out in gold chains, bracelets and jewelry that only added to her beauty. Her ponytail also had a new gold hairband with two red crystals attached on it.
As for Link, he was fitted with a new Gerudo King's outfit. It was a green royal silk poncho that went over his shoulders, decorated with gold trim and religious Gerudo symbols. His upper arms were mostly exposed to show off his biceps, while on his forearms he wore gold and black silk sleeves. There was a thin strap of cloth that went down the middle of his upper torso, exposing his lean, muscular physique on both sides of it, and it ran down past his jeweled gold belt, letting it hang down with the Gerudo crest embroidered on the end. Under his belt he wore dark green pants that led down to a pair of steel black boots with gold decoration. The group also noticed there was decorative pads on both of his shoulders and hips with images of Gerudo deities sewn on them.
On Link's forehead was a new king's tiara with green, red and blue jewels on it. And finally he wore a a silk cap that was a very similar design to the Kokiri one he used to wear, except it was colored a more aqua-green.
Link also had some body paint on his exposed body parts; such as a crescent moon and star on the right side of his chest, and more Gerudo markings on his arms.
"Woah..." Reirousa said with her jew dropped down, but it was pushed back up by Nemisa as she too stared at Link.
"Lady Nabooru... King Link... you both look... amazing!" gasped Halei.
"Yeah, you two're lookin' like a real king and queen now!" Togau said.
"..." Link paused, staring down at himself.
After the crisis when the Fierce Deity took over his body, he didn't know if he was cut out to be the Gerudo King anymore, to the point where he destroyed what remained of his royal garb, as all he could see in it was Ganondorf. But now he felt much more... natural in his new clothes.
He sported a goofy sheepish grin as he rubbed the back of his head, "Heh, you really think so?"
"Why yes, maybe you two should just get married tonight and make it official!" Sarami said teasingly.
"Har har." Nabooru rolled her eyes, she glanced over at Link, "She's right about one thing, you're looking pretty good there."
"And you look absolutely stunning Nabooru. White is definitely your color." Link said looking at her up and down.
"Jees..." Nabooru turned away for a moment, before she smirked and pulled his cap over his eyes, "Anyway, I'm glad to see you in a cap again, feels like old times."
Link grinned and pulled the cap away from his eyes, "Heh, yeah. But why is it aqua colored?"
"I dunno, I just figured it'd be your color." Nabooru said with a cheeky grin.
"Oooh, who put these cool pictures of the great Gerudo goddesses on his clothes?" Aviel asked, running around Link to look them all over.
On Link's left arm was the six-armed Hotaig, the Gerudo goddess of war, wielding her six signature weapons. The right shoulder pad had an image of sun goddess Ositir, holding up a bright specter with wavy solar rays around her head. The left hip pad had an embroidered picture of Efaeme the goddess of knowledge, she was holding a book whose pages stretched out around her like sashes, and she seemed to have eyes all over her body. On Link's right hip was a woman with six large breasts and a round figure, as well as a giant majestic pair of wings on her back, who was known as Limoga, the Gerudo goddess of fertility.
But most importantly, printed on the back of Link's shoulder poncho was the design of Aifet, the desert goddess herself. Much like the giant statues at on the outside of the Spirit Temple and within the Grand Sanctum, she had her legs folded, as a snake was wrapped around her body. She had her hands raised up with a shining mystic symbols on both. She also had a scimitar strapped to her back.
Leivuri spoke up, "Oh that was my idea. It started out as a cape that was supposed to go with his old outfit... But it got shredded up by the rebels when they took over the town..." she looked away with a saddened gaze,
"Oh, that's awful. I know what that's like." Saria frowned thinking about Ilite's coarina.
"So afterwards I spoke with Sister Miteito here, and we found a way to use what we could salvage for it's final design!" Leivuri said.
"Very impressive." Nabooru said, "You carry five of our most important goddess on your garb, Link. I'm positive they all recognize you as our true ruler, so walk proudly with them as you stand at Hyrule Castle with me."
"I promise Nabooru," Link stared down at the pad with Hotaig on it and nodded, "For the sake of all the Gerudo." he then turned to Leivuri and Miteito, "And as for you both." he took them both by the hand and gave them each a kiss on their lips, "Thank you for this. With this new outfit, it feels like I've been reborn as the true Gerudo King."
"K-Kyyaaaaa! Don't do that my king, it's so embarrassiiiiing!" Leivuri exclaimed, burying her beet red face in her hands.
"T-T-That was... I've been praised so greatly by my k-king!" stammered Miteito, she took her measuring tape roll and wrapped it completely around her head to hide how much she was smiling from the kiss.
"Well with this everyone, I believe we're prepared for the trip to Hyrule!" Nabooru said proudly, "We leave when Ositir brings the sun of a new tomorrow! Now let us feast and celebrate tonight!"
"Bout damn time!" Reirousa shouted, "Chow down!"
Everyone raised up their arms and cheered out loud, before beginning their dinner for the night.
Link gave a long sigh as he entered his bedroom. He had just taken a long hot bath and was about to turn in for the night. He gazed out the balcony at the starry desert sky.
"My last night here in Gerudo Valley for at least a few months..." Link whispered, "This place has been my home for three years now... but its going to be nice to finally see Hyrule again."
He found himself thinking about all the places in Hyrule Market Town he wanted to show his friends and fiances, all the people, stores, games, and sights he had gotten to experience that day when he was ten and arrived there.
Link also thought about Halei in particular, and how she might finally be able to be reunited with her father. With some luck, she might even be able to stay there with her family...
Naturally his zora queen Ruto would be there, as well as Chief Darunia of the Gorons and Mido's assistant Vekai of the Kokiri. Their help would prove to be invaluable for the peace treaty he hoped to make for the Gerudo.
And then there was the noble knight Ashe, who once tried to assassinate him, but instead the two had fallen in love. She had already been promoted to General when they reunited, but who knew what she was doing now... maybe she would want to return home with them..?
One person in particular he hoped to see while he was out in Hyrule was Malon, the young ranch girl who he met shortly after leaving Kokiri Village, as well as her father Talon and the trusty horse Epona. He hoped they were all doing well... maybe he could convince Nabooru to make a quick stop at the ranch?
Link also thought of the Sheikah ninja Impa. He was pretty excited to see her, and especially excited at the thought of seeing his first child and son, Shikki. He found himself wondering if she would want to have a second son while he was there...?
Finally, he thought about the lovely Princess Zelda. Unlike everyone else, he hadn't seen her since he left Hyrule with Epona to try and find Navi ten years ago. She entrusted him with the Ocarina of Time as a gift for his journey, and it served him well during the catastrophe in Termina. While she was now married to the prince of the neighboring country of Fargent, he was just excited to see her again, and hopefully he would get a chance to see just who this man that married her was...
"Hey there, something on your mind, handsome?" spoke a silky voice. He turned to see Nabooru standing there with a smirk. She was wearing a bath robe that hugged her womanly frame.
"Guess I'm just a little excited for tomorrow." Link chuckled, "We're finally going out to Hyrule."
"...heh, I know how you feel." Nabooru said, taking him by his hand and guiding him to lay down on the bed of pillows. She laid beside him and playfully tickled his chest with her fingers, "I can't thank you enough for all you'd done. I don't think we could have gotten as far we have without you Link..."
"Come on Nabooru, don't sell yourself short," Link said, taking her by her chin and tilting it up to make eye contact with her, "You've done so much for not just us, but for all of Hyrule with your leadership."
"... ...is that what you think?" Nabooru paused and pulled herself away, staring up at the ceiling, "You really think that I've really done good for this world...?"
"Nabooru?" Link asked sitting up, "What's the matter? Is this about your old boyfriend?"
"...you've won the hearts of so many Gerudo through your bravery, strength and kindness..." Nabooru spoke,
"You've helped them all through their problems and broken them all out of their shells... But I wonder if you knew what secrets I held deep inside... that you would even consider someone like me as your queen...?"
Link sat there for the longest time in silence, before he smiled lightly, and moved the bath robe off of Nabooru's shoulders. He placed his hands on her bare shoulders and started to rub them down with a gentle massage,
"You know, I once asked Sarami about what your life was like before I met you, but she wouldn't tell me."
"She better not have..." Nabooru said with sharp tongue, though she was clearly enjoying the rubbing sensation Link was giving her.
"Yeah, I understand. I know you're not ready to say anything to me yet." Link said, "And while I can't say I know what secrets you're holding inside..."
He then took her by her chin to face him, and he gave her a loving kiss on the lips. The Gerudo's eyes widened as he deepened the contact between them, giving him the chance to undo her robe and let it fall off her shoulders. He broke the kiss and gazed down at her tan, nude body.
"I know enough that you're an amazing person Nabooru, and there's nobody I would choose as my Grand Gerudo Queen over you." Link said.
"Link..." Nabooru whispered, gazing into his blue eyes for a moment, before she sported a knowing smirk, "Nice try, you almost had me."
Link snickered and grinned, "That's fine, I'll take 'almost' for now. It's still progress."
"That said, I think you'd due for a little reward..." Nabooru said, giving Link a light shove onto the pillows, before pressing her lips over his own. He kissed her back as his hands ran along her curvy hips...
…and the two shared yet another wonderful night together...
"People of Gerudo Town!" Nabooru shouted out, "Thank you all for coming here this morning!"
It was early dawn in Gerudo Town, and Nabooru was standing at the front gate that led out to the canyon.
Alongside her was Link of course, along with Aviel, Nemisa, Saria, Halei, Togau, Sarami and her ChuChu Chupil, as well as Reirousa, Kesuta, Korume, and Togau's pets Imra and Oseg. There was also a number of Gerudo guards accompanying them. They had caravan wagons with the few horses they had, ready to haul all the supplies and luggage they were bringing with them into Hyrule.
"It's been a long time coming, but it's finally time." Nabooru called out,"Today is the day we make history for the Gerudo, as we set forth to Hyrule Castle!"
"Yeah, yeah... can you get on with it so I can get back to sleep already?" one of the Gerudo in the crowd demanded, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.
Link cleared his throat and stepped up, "Thank you everyone once again, for accepting me as your king and giving me this chance to rectify what happened ten years ago. I promise that I'll do everything I can to give you all the freedom you deserve, and put an end to the Ebony Sisterhood's plans. We will never give up!"
Most of the crowd cheered out wildly for them all, waving banners in support of their leaders.
"Have a safe trip Sarami!" Ms. Fareafu said, standing alongside Ilite and the other students of the schoolhouse, "We'll all be waiting for your return!"
"Good luck Aviel, my star pupil!" Master Folura of the Archery Club spoke along with the archers, "Aim high and never falter!"
"Bye Nemisa, we'll miss you!" "Come back sooooon!" "Bring me back a hunky man or I'm going to borrow Link from you!" Sumof, Otuko and Ifemi shouted out.
"We'll keep an eye on things at the ranch Togau!" the ranchers shouted, as many of the barn animals mooed, baaed, clucked and oinked.
"As long as I'm here those rebels won't touch this town!" Foluma said proudly, "You can count on me to keep this place and everyone safe!"
"Goodbye Foluma, goodbye everyone!" Aviel said waving her wings, "We promise to come back as soon as we can!"
"Alright, we're off!" Nabooru stated, as Togau motioned to the horses to get moving and pull the wagons.
With that, Link, Nabooru and everyone started down the road of the canyon towards Hyrule...
...and to a brighter future for everyone.
And that ends this chapter. Next time our heroes head out into Hyrule, but they'll be making a brief stop on their way to the castle... where Link will reunite with a dear old friend... and learn what has become of them...
