Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto; it is owned by Masashi Kishimoto. Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire and all properties related to it are owned by George R.R Martin. I own nothing and am just a humble fan of both works.
Author's Note: Hello everyone, I am back with a new story that will be interesting to write out, an experiment of sorts. It is a part of some Naruto/Game of Thrones Crossovers that I wish to write. I want to write out three in the future; this one, a story before Robert's Rebellion, and a full rewrite of seasons 5-8, or seasons 6-8. This one is based on an alternate history on the Targaryen Dynasty that involves Uzumaki Naruto.
Now, here are my own thoughts on Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire. Game of Thrones had the potential to be something… transcendental. And then season 8 happened, which I fucking hated and if you all enjoyed it, that's okay. Its just that season 8 was far too rushed and just nonsensical. I hope Martin can finish the books and maybe redeem the show… oh who am I kidding? I respect the author, but the show ending will be the book ending most likely.
A Song of Ice and Fire as a whole is phenomenal stuff, and George has a creative mind and really knows how to weave a lot of things together well. However, for me the godfather of fantasy is Tolkien. Lord of the Rings is just in my humble opinion better. And for me personally, I like happy endings. While I respect Martin, I am not of a fan of bad endings, that's not what I want to read. Its no offense to him, this is no knock or diss for him. It's just… seeing the bad guys win, the good guys lose, and shitty endings are tough to digest. Still, I hope he can finish the books.
On another note, I have been enjoying House of The Dragon. Its sad to see that the Targaryens ruined themselves and destroyed the majority of their power. And I have heard there is a Jon Snow show is in the works. Let's see what comes of that.
Anyways, enough of my rant. This story is honestly an experiment, as I want to write different stories now, beyond Naruto/Superhero crossovers. Mythology and Fantasy now interest me as well. Aragorn II Elessar, Sierra BN. 312, AdventReader221 and many others have inspired me to write stories that are grand and powerful, and I hope I can do a good job here.
This first story is a different take on Daenys the Dreamer's prophetic dream, an Alternative Universe story. And what she sees here could very well change the Targaryen Dynasty in Westeros forever. Uzumaki Naruto is going to play his own role in all of this.
Please do read and review well. Depending on the reception to this story, I will continue with more. Please do share your ideas and suggestions; it all helps. Without further ado, let us begin.
Prologue- A Warrior amidst The Smoke and Ash
Centuries before Aegon's victory of Westeros
Night had passed in the world of the Seven Kingdoms. And as many in the continent known as Westeros had fallen asleep to dream of a better day or to continue life's daily struggle, there was a woman who was having difficulty falling asleep.
On an island known as Dragonstone, lay a gigantic castle of the same name. The castle known as Dragonstone housed the last living family of dragonlords who hailed from the now destroyed Valyrian Freehold. They are known as the Targaryens
XXXXXX
The Valyrian Freehold was once a large and massive territory that had spanned much of another continent known as Essos. The Valyrian Freehold encompassed most of the Eastern Continent going as far as the Free Cities and even Dragonstone which lie off the coast of Westeros. It was once an advanced civilization and the ruling might of power and culture that was known throughout the free world. There was no one in existence that did know about Valyria. Though not known as an Empire, it had lasted for 5000 years before being destroyed in a catastrophic event known now as the Doom of Valyria.
The people of Valyria where once known as mere humble sheppards. Yet, things changed once dragon egs were discovered. These eggs had been found in the Fourteen Flames, a large ring of volcanoes that dotted the peninsula. Stories were made that dragons originated in Valyria, yet tales from a city known as Asshai claimed the origin of dragons originated from the Shadow Lands, lands where people would venture at their own peril.
And apart from the Shadow Lands, dragon bones had even been found all over Westeros itself and even continents farther away. Some of these dragons were tamed by other humans, while some were even killed by humans.
An ancient group of people from the Shadow Lands taught the Valyrians their ancient magic which allowed them to tame these great beasts into not only friends, but also devastating weapons of war. There are no more records of these inhabitants as they disappeared into the void and have not been seen since.
And once they hatched and tamed these great beasts, they began putting them to work. The formation of the Freehold had begun with its capital known as Valyria, a place of wonders and ancient magic. The Valyrians had created large, towering cities that rose even towards the heaven where the dragons freely soared. The Valyrians created large sphinxes with eyes made of garnet that could see towards vast distances. And with their new magical abilities, the Valyrians had crafted powerful swords of legendary strength and sharpness. They had crafted armor that was nearly invincible; light and easily to maneuver with impressive durability and defensive capability. And the shields they crafted were strong enough to endure nearly any weapon.

However, as the Valyrians continued to create and build, they lost their humility. The Valyrians had no king or emperor, instead, the dragon lords had a say in all forms of governance with the Targaryens being the weakest and lowest of the dragonlords.
The Valyrians had developed a desire to expand the Freehold into something much larger than it should have been. They had turned their attentions to Essos as the Old Empire of Ghis stood in their way.
The Ghiscari belonged to an ancient and old culture that had dominated much of Essos. They had built great towers in pyramids with the use of slaves. Their hills were rich in copper and were known as people who used bronze weapons. However, the most terrible part of the Ghiscari were their ability to transform into harpies; half-human, half monstrous creatures with the ability to fly.
The Ghiscari were determined to stop the expansion of the Freehold and desired dragons themselves. Five brutal, bloody conflicts were waged, and even though the Ghiscari had managed to defeat the Valyrians one time and enslave a defeated army, it was all for naught.
Despite their power and abilities, the Ghiscari could not defeat the Valyrians. Their magical abilities combined with immense magical weaponry and dragons proved to be the Empire's undoing. The Valyrians had then struck at the heart of the Empire and burned it to the ground, filling it with corpses, ash, and sulfur.
And basking in their golden victory, the Valyrians had adopted the practice of Slavery from the Ghiscari. That would be a basis for their eventual doom one day.

With the Ghiscari defeated and scattered to the winds, the Valyrians had taken over their lands and had turned their attention to using their captured slaves to mine the Fourteen Flames for their wealth and riches as they created new roadways and cities that led to Valyria.
The Valyrians then turned their attentions towards the Andals of Andaloas. Rather than losing and being enslaved by the Valyrians, the Andals abandoned their lands and captured much of Westeros with their might.
The Valyrians in the past had also travelled to Oldtown, before the First Men came to Westeros.. Many historians speculate that their priests believed a grave and vile threat would come from the narrow sea. Historians also speculated that some certain event had led the Valyrians to abandon any ideas for Westeros.
XXXXXX
The next great opponent for the Valyrians had been the Rhoynar. A series of wars spanning a half-century had lasted between the Freehold and the Rhoynar. The Rhoynar were an exceptional opponent for the Valyrians, having not only killed dragons, but even defeating armies of 100000 strong.
Eventually, war took its toll as the Valyrians triumphed by sending 300 dragons to burn everything to the ground. The great Princess Nymeria herself had led an expedition of as many women and children as she could and sailed their ships to Westeros, where they had eventually settled in Dorne.
XXXXXX
The Valyrian Freehold had now been left as the mightiest, uncontested power in the world. Their reign and influence expanded towards other continents and many other lands where many, many creations of Valyria still endure and exist to this very day.
However, the Valyrians were not merely content with resting on their laurels and living in peace. No, they truly were not. The Valyrians themselves were not normal looking individuals. They were breathtaking, beautiful, with silver hair and violet eyes and fair skin. Power and magic resided in their blood and with their dragons, they had considered themselves far beyond reproach.
The Valyrians had also practiced incest, as they wished to keep their bloodlines pure to control and tame the dragons. It was an custom and practice that many did not approve of.
The Valyrians had even managed to take the island of Dragonstone and construct their magical castle without anyone being able to do anything about it. However, pride and ego always goes before the fall. And the Doom did indeed come.
The Valyrians believed they could do anything they wanted. They forced their slaves to mind further and further beneath the Fourteen Flames, gathering as much as they could. Many slaves died and many rebellions were swiftly and brutally crushed.
The Valyrian priests began breeding these slaves with creatures, creating and fashioning monstrous chimeras. The Valyrians had also been trying to figure out how to make more dragons, breeding firewyrms with wyverns and doing things no one should ever be doing such as breeding dragons and wyrms with humans to create monstrosities.
Perhaps it was their hubris that caused their doom. Perhaps it was the centuries or millennia of fire and blood they brought upon others that caused their doom. Or, it may have been an unholy natural disaster that could not be held back by their magic.
Perhaps unknown parties discovered what they were doing and decided to put a complete end to it. Perhaps the magic of Valyria could not hold back the power of the Fourteen Flames. Regardless of whatever the reason might be, the Doom came, and it came with a wrath of its own.
XXXXXX
A Targaryen known as Daenys had a prophetic dream. The Targaryens or perhaps even the Valyrians themselves had the power to see dreams that came true. When Daenys was just a maiden, she dreamed that the Doom had come for Valyria and all was destroyed. Nothing was left. Neither the great cities, nor neither the dragons. The Fourteen Flames would erupt in such a way that dragon glass would fill the sky and ash and fire so hot would even kill dragons.
Daenys had begged her father, Aenar to leave Valyria for Dragonstone. He had chosen to listen to his daughter and so the entire Targaryen family had sold off their belongings and took their dragons and made way for Dragonstone. The other dragonlords had derided and mocked them for cowardice, but little did they know that Daenys had saved her family. If only the rest of the dragonlords had chosen to heed her warning.
XXXXXX
And now, we are back on Dragonstone. And an older Daenys was tossing and turning, sleeping next to her husband Gaemon as she was shivering and sweating. It was the same dream of the Doom that she witnesses. The Doom did indeed happen twelve years after they left Valyria.
However, in her dreams she sees something that she cannot truly understand. And when this dream ends, she wakes up screaming in a cold sweat, shaking and shivering as she struggles to understand what she has truly seen.
Dreams are such that neither man nor women can always accurately guess what they mean. Sometimes, you just get lucky. And when Daenys woke once again, her husband Gaemon had woken as well and their parents had knocked on their door, worried for their daughter.
Gaemon held Daenys to his heart as he tried to calm her. Aenar had used a key to open the door. He had brought water for his child. It had hurt his heart to see his child hurt like this. She had been correct in the end. The Doom had come and Valyria was now nothing but ashes. He was sure the fall of Valyria would attract many. It was too bad for them that it was a fool's errand to pursue ruling over the ashes.
"Are you alright, daughter?"
Her father had given her a cup of water which she drank eagerly, trying to calm herself. Her mother had held her as she too was worried for her child.
"I am fine, mother, and father."
Aenar gave her a serious look. "I believe something is plaguing you my daughter. After the day you had that dream, you never spoke about it ever again. And ever since we came to Dragonstone twelve years ago, you have been plagued by the same dream. "
"You can tell us anything. If not for you, daughter, we would have ended up among the ashes, as nothing but a memory. It is because of you, that House Targaryen lives and that a piece of Valyria still lives on."
"Maybe… if you tell us more about your dream and share your burden with us… perhaps you will feel better. I worry for you daughter. Whatever is bothering you, we can fix it together."
Daenys took a breath as she looked to her husband for reassurance and he nodded. And so, Daenys spoke.
"As you wish, father. I will tell you everything I saw." And so, Daenys recounted her dream for the three of them to hear. Needless, things did change for the four of them.

"Daenys had been running, running as far as she could, coughing and choking as she smelled ash and sulfur permeate throughout Valyria. The ground screamed and sobbed as did the sky as dragonglass fell from the sky, along with ash, lava, and molten rock."
"People were dying by the boat load as corpse's riddled the ground. Lava so hot flowed from the volcanoes and shot up in the sky as the dragons themselves could not handle this heat as they died screaming."
"The great city of Valyria was being ripped apart. The Great Cataclysm had come for them all as the ground split and quaked and was torn asunder, as the peninsula itself split into three. Ash and lava filled the sea as a cloud of choking, toxic dust and fumes filled the air. "
"People begged for help, but no one was helping each other. Many dragons tried to escape but they too perished due to the volcanoes. And Daenys sat among the ashes and screamed. Fire and Blood had come for them. Their hubris, their sins, the curses had ripped them asunder."
"Men, women, children, and dragons all died powerfully and graphically as she could do nothing but sob and scream among the ashes. Perhaps Judgment had come for them all, and now she too was meant to die along with her family."
"If only she could just hold her husband again, speak to her father and put her head in the lap of her mother again. If only she could hold her dragon again; Daenys was left with nothing but regret. She screamed and screamed and Valyria and the Freehold screamed with her as everything was literally going up in flames."
"And soon enough, she saw flame and lava coming near her. She closed her eyes and waited for her doom. At least… she could now be with her family. She had learned the cold hard truth. Empires crumble, and there are no exceptions. And our sins come back to rightfully exact vengeance."
"And when she opened her eyes to face her end… it had not come. She was shocked to see water surround her, protecting her, as it twisted all over her. And then the wall of water disappeared as she wondered who conjured such powerful magic to protect her."
"And then she turned her face… and saw something that she could not believe was possible. It was a man who walked near her. A man she had not seen before in her life. A man who she felt did not belong in Valyria. He did not look like a slave, rather, he looked dangerous, mighty."
"Her jaw dropped as this man had crawled out from the destruction that was happening around them. He walked forward as if he emerged from smoke and salt and ash. She could not forget what he looked like. He was not a Valyrian, yet he was handsome. His hair was golden, his skin was fair, and his body was war-like; he was built for war and conquest and passion. Despite all that was happening, she had a feeling that a man like this would not go unnoticed by any female Valyrian. If he wanted, this man could have bred many females and had many women, married or not, carrying his children with glee and pride."
"Yet, the one thing she would truly never forget was his eyes. His eyes were like ice, a shade of blue she had never seen in her life as a women. Yet, his next act had shocked her. He had closed his eyes and flexed his arms as he stood still among the chaos and when he opened his eyes… she had gasped."
"His eyes were no longer blue. His eyes were now gold with rectangular slits. And when he stared at her, it was as if he was gazing into her very soul. It was as if she was staring at a force that could conquer all of the world itself and bring it to heel."
"And then the man roared. It was powerful, strong, and manly. And then… something happened that she never would expect at all. She could hear another roar behind him. The man did not look back, as mong the smoke… a dragon had emerged. It looked more serpent than dragon. It was large, larger than any dragon she had seen. It slithered and moved slowly and powerfully, as she saw other dragons coming closer to the man. Its roar was special as well as its chirping."
"And then the mighty dragon had roared, unleashing its flames into the sky, as the other dragons did as well. And then the man simply looked at her as if she was an ant in his way. He had simply smiled at her as he and the dragons disappeared in the chaos as they ran forward to embrace destiny. And all the while, Daenys had been reduced to nothing but a mere spectator."

The three of them were left in shock and awe as to what Daenys had told them. They could not believe that something had crawled out from beneath the Fourteen Flames and walked to his doom. How was this specimen living beneath the flames? Then again, not even the Dragonlords themselves truly knew what was happening beneath the volcanoes.
Aenar and his wife asked Daenys to get some sleep and they would talk tomorrow about this. As she slept in her husband's arms, Daenys was lost in her thoughts. She had no idea what this all meant for the future of House Targaryen.
Did her dream spell doom for her family… or did her dream secure her family's future? Whatever the case may be, Daenys believed that this man had a role to play in House Targaryen's future. Whether it was positive or negative, only time would tell.

Codex Targaryen
Taken from the Notes of Daenys the Dreamer from the Book Signs and Portents of the Doom
Subject: Uzumaki Naruto of House Whirlpool
Titles- The Savior, The Hero, The Golden One, The Maelstrom, The Kind and Gentle One
Description:
I… I am not sure what I should write about this man. This… This man, this golden one is someone that has eluded my sight for quite some time. I feel frustrated that I have not been able to find him… but I feel a great respect for this man. And it is my wish that I may meet him one day.
Tracking this man's movements has been a true pain. Even the mightiest of priests and maesters were yet to find answer to my problems and my searches. Perhaps it was sheer luck or fate that I was able to learn his name… Naruto.
Naruto's appearance during the Doom has been unnerving for me. I truly have no idea what this man's appearance during a cataclysm meant. In my dreams, he displayed such sheer magical abilities that any Valyrian would murder for. And his command of the dragons, I firmly believe he could be a secret Valyrian. Or… perhaps he is a Lannister-Baratheon Hybrid.
He had disappeared with the dragons into the smoke and ash and I screamed for him to stop, yet he would not listen to me. It was as if I was speaking to a force of nature that could not be tamed.
Whatever the case may be… I have been searching for this man. After the Doom, there will no doubt be war and blood over who will rule Valyria. And a man like this… the world will not let him live in peace. A Non-Valyrian who can command dragons… people will desire this power.
In the end, I must find this man. I am willing to bet that the future of House Targaryen resides in this man's hands. I will spend whatever time I have to find this man and to speak to him.
Perhaps… we may meet one day in the future.

Chapter End
And that's the prologue everyone. Please do read and review. I hope you all enjoy it.
If the reception is good, I will continue. Please do offer your ideas and suggestions as to where this story should go. I would love your feedback.
The dragon that was slithering next to Naruto is similar to Caraxes.
I have added and taken some liberties here and I hope that you understand and are accepting of it.
Perhaps the next chapter is Naruto waking up during the Doom and making his way out. Oh, things are going to change for him soon enough. It is a mystery how he could have ended up beneath the Fourteen Flames. And do not worry… I will not nerf Naruto that much. He is still the man you do not fuck with ever, even if you have dragons. People will know that soon enough. I want to make this story interesting. I hope you all understand.
Stay safe everyone and well wishes to you all. I look forward to your reviews and feedback and your ideas for the future of this story.
