Prologue:

In the four years following the dinosaurs being released upon the world, a lot happened. InGen and Masrani Global had essentially been forced out of business due to a number of reasons, such as bad press and lawsuits. They'd been replaced by a couple other companies, such as Mantah Corp, which apparently underwent new leadership in recent years, and Biosyn. Biosyn, which had competed with InGen for decades, especially had risen to power now that their main competitor was out of the way.

With Henry Wu stripped of his title and InGen no longer able to help him out of the hole he dug himself into, Biosyn had also snatched him up, employing him in some kind of mysterious role within their company.

A dinosaur black market had also sprung up across the world, helping to spread dinosaurs across the globe instead of just in California where they were released. There was truly no going back now.

South Korea:

A small business was destroyed when an adolescent Stygimoloch smashed through the brick wall and straight through the building. Three people were injured and sent to the local hospital.

Wyoming:

Locals were amazed to wake up one morning to find that a small herd of wild horses had somehow merged with a small herd of Parasaurolophus. The two herds were intermingled as they galloped across the open plains.

France:

A power-outage darkened a portion of Northern France as a small pack of Compsognathus made a nest in a power plant, chewing through wires. The pack is estimated to have at least a dozen members and has yet to be safely relocated.

Near New Zealand:

A scuba diving team had a gigantic surprise off the coast of New Zealand. The team was following the migratory patterns of a small Orca pod. Upon diving to further document the pod's activities, they were shocked to find the whales in the company of a giant Mosasaurus!

Both species were displaying hunting behavior, so the team's immediate assumption was that the Mosasaurus was attacking the whales, especially given that one of the Orcas had recently given birth to a small calf.

A few moments of watching, however, proved to the team that the Mosasaurus wasn't the threat.

A lone Great White shark decided to be brave enough to go for the young calf.

The team was able to video tape the whole encounter as the Mosasaurus teamed up with the Orcas to kill the shark, protecting the calf and even eating their kill together.

California:

A group of teens hiking in Big Rock National Park came upon a herd of Ankylosaur. Wanting to get up close for some selfies, the teens were charged by one of the adults, one being severely injured and in critical condition.

Kenya:

The nature photographer got up extra early. She was going to get some shots that no one in her field had seen yet.

The sun was rising just past the horizon, turning the sky, clouds, and land a golden red. And silhouetted in front of the sun were just more than half a dozen bulky, horned herbivores.

The small herd of Northern White Rhinos was under constant protection in Kenya, as the three adults and new baby were believed to be the only remaining Northern White Rhinos alive.

But the extra…additions to the herd were likely the main reason the small herd was able to grow.

Two adult Triceratops were mingled amongst the Rhinos, the male Triceratops and the male Rhino were standing sentry while the females grazed, and the new baby Rhino was frolicking with the baby Triceratops.

It was picture-perfect.

Oregon:

A young family was driving their car along a winding, cliff-side road in Oregon, heading out on a long camping trip. Their van came out of a tunnel to find a Stegosaurus crossing the road. It swung it's tail at the car, which swerved to avoid being hit, only to go flying off the road and over the edge of the cliff.

Sadly, there were no survivors.

AN: Sorry for the long wait for this sequel, I've had a lot going on. But here's the short prologue. It offers a brief glimpse into the world before we jump into the story. I got inspiration from movie clips, bonus material, and a few websites.

Let me know what you're looking forward to in this story! Hopefully this small prologue peaked your interest.
