Chapter 22:Gotcha (please keep in mind, constructive critique is welcome, negative, aggressive comments are not going to do anything but reflect badly upon whoever the writer of the comment is... we all deserve respect ..)
Running to get the Noko was hard for Stephanie, Whisper and Jibanyan. Nobody ever considers this type of crazy when they get mixed up with a Noko. Breathing hard, they encouraged each other to keep up. Passersby looked and and looked again. It was one of those crazy "Yo-Kai" situations that it was better to ignore. This wasn' going to be an easy catch. They knew as they ran further and further, different challenges would be thrown at them. Their feet thumped along the hot, crowded sidewalk. It was safer than being on the busy road, of course. Bumping into people, sidewalk displays, and open city grates were like an obstacle course. That meant it was not the same dangerous as a road but had the challenge in it anyway. Cars passing through were not seeing on what was going on, as they were focused on driving rather then looking for the Noko. This was grueling.
The sweat was dripping down their foreheads because the sun was still up beating in the bright sky. Catching up to the Noko was like playing a game of "wack-a-mole". They saw that Noko was doing his best to confuse them. It inspirited several different people along the way to cause them to act differently, but, as Stephanie, Whisper and Jibanyan ran to get hi- he slipped through their grip! The Noko would then unspirit whomever he was in to run away from them.
This chase went on for what felt like hours. Eventually, the Noko trapped itself in a dark alley. This move was not as bright as the sidewalk, because it had a little sunlight in it was it was almost like a shadow to him. This space between two buildings which became a dead end for the Noko. He stopped himself while facing the wall and then started sweating. He reached out to the dark wall that led him to nowhere. Then, he heard a cough. The Noko then had turned around squinting to see Stephanie, Whisper and Jibanyan all looking at him . Each of them had their arms crossed at him. Some light reflected off of passing trucks at the alleyway entrance. It beamed through behind them as they stood in the alleyway. They looked like heroes in a action movie. That made Noko even more nervous. He knew he was in trouble. As soon as both Stephanie and Noko had made eye contact, Stephanie slowly started feeling bad for the Noko, so ,she walked forward and leaned down so she could pet him,
"It's okay.", she said gently to him.
She petted him slowly. The Noko enjoyed Stephanie's kindness. While she was petting him, Whisper and Jibanyan unfolded their arms to see and observe on what is going on. They were watched how Stephanie waspetting the Noko gently. Then, the Noko gave Stephanie his metal so she could put it in her, "Yo-Kai Watch", and summon him whenever she wanted to.
