1Elizabeth stands in the doorway of Audrey's spare bedroom. Cameron is in the bed, sleeping, oblivious to any of the friction going on around him. He asks about Lucky, referred to as "daddy", but she just tells him that he's working a lot. She doesn't know what else to say; Cameron's only thought of one person as his father and he thinks the world of him. She can't tell him the truth, he's too young for that, but she can't bring herself to tell him that his daddy wasn't going to be living with them anymore.

When she looks at Lucky, it's hard. She doesn't want to; the man she sees standing in front of her disgusts her. He's a man who had an affair with a barely legal teenager and kept a drug addiction from her. If she were honest with herself, she'd be disgusted with him because he was weak enough to give into such an addiction, let alone hold onto it for as long as he has.

Still, even with his drug addiction, when he's pleading with her, she almost sees the man she married. The one who promised to love and protect her and be faithful to her. She sees him there, underneath the weakness and the drugs and the infidelity, trying to get out and begging her to stay with him because he loves her with everything he has.
