Yoshikage Kira just wants to live a quiet life. Ever since his death and subsequent time as a wandering ghost he cherished his quiet life even more. Because of powers that he couldn't comprehend his universe had been plunged into rebirth although he had not been brought with it.
The powers at be had decided that Kira would go elsewhere to further enact his punishment he had been transported to another world, born under a broken moon he was born the ninth child of the Arc family under the name 'Yoshikage Kira Arc' as a twin along with his brother Jaune. This had given Kira a new start at life one he swore to himself he wouldn't throw away, the time in-between his death and rebirth had loosened his shackles and freed him of his 'urges', while this didn't mean that he didn't like hands anymore it just meant that he wouldn't need to kill for them.
So freed from the shackles of his hand fetish and equipped with a new start at life he decided that he would use this life to be a better person, a real pillar of his community. Now that didn't mean he was going to become a 'hunter' as this worlds inhabitants called it no he didn't want that, becoming a hunter would cause stress and cause problems and that would cause him to loose sleep and disrupt his quiet life. He fancied that once he had a stable job he might do volunteer work and donate to charity and, well not kill anybody for their hands.
That brings him to the present held at knifepoint by a group of five thugs equipped with blades and guns in a dark alleyway. Now he was faced with a dilemma he didn't want attract to much attention by beating these scum within an inch of their lives but he had a large sum of his savings on him and he still hasn't been able to find a job after moving to Vale at the young age of seventeen due to the economy being thrown out of order due to dust robbery's.
His musings were cut short by a punch to the abdomen . He looked up at the rough man that was handling him he had a rough face partially hidden by a black hoodie he pushed the knife closer to Kira's throat and said "Listen ya fancy looking kid I asked for your money, all ya got, your scroll to !" In a tone just bellow shouting as to not alert anyone.
Kira looked down at the man his face half shadowed by his blonde hair, he had finally made his decision, he couldn't afford to lose what he had on him, that would cause too much stress. He would have to get rid of these men although he would try not to kill them, he is trying to be a better person after all, he would just… cripple them, he thought that would be much better. So in a flash he pushed the thug holding him at knifepoint into the rest falling with a scream he stumbled the other thugs. Kira then took a step back and shouted "KILLER QUEEN".
The thugs quickly reorganised themselves and aimed their weapons at Kira but were quickly shocked to see a pink humanoid with some cat like features hovering behind Kira as he motionlessly stood in front of them. Before they could say a word a calm and confident voice came from their target "lowlifes like you can't compete with the likes of my semblance, Killer Queen I Yoshikage Kira Arc will give you a chance to run because fighting gives me unneeded stress, but to those who don't? You will be lucky to walk again".
The leader of the thugs burst out laughing "you really think some pink ghost is going to scare my boys?" he boasted
To emphasise his point he spread his arms out and turned to his 'boys' only to see two had bolted and the other two looking at each other nervously. But he wouldn't get a chance to face Kira again because as this happened an empty can fell between the three of them, the last thing they would hear was "it appears you have made your choice" in a monotonous voice followed by a click as their world went white.
Kira found himself in an interrogation room with a dim light, two steel chairs and a steel table. From what he understood he is likely not in much trouble as it was a clear case of self defence or at least that's what the officer had told him, apparently someone had heard the commotion and called the police he was just being kept here for further questioning. But this did little for Kira's nerves he couldn't stop the thoughts racing throughout his mind what if he gets charged for assault ? What if one died? Then it could be murder! Worst of all at this rate he wasn't going to be home in time for his nighttime routine! He was most definitely going to lose sleep tonight. As his thoughts consumed him the door opened and in walked a green and black clad man with gray hair and tiny glasses with coffee in one hand. He sat down in front of Kira and pulled out a scroll and showed an image from a security camera of Kira and his semblance/stand. He looked up at Kira with a small grin and said "Now isn't that a strange semblance you have, what can you tell me about it?".
Ozpin was ecstatic just the day before he had been able to recruit Miss Rose and while this boy didn't have silver eyes his semblance was truly extraordinary he had never saw something like it and better yet he was at the perfect age to join beacon along with his brother. He had so many questions to ask the boy about his semblance but he decided to hold off on most of them for now and see what he tells him naturally. After he had shown the boy the video and asked the question Kira shifted under the light giving Ozpin a better view of him he had a purple suit top and bottom with a blue and white stripped shirt along with an odd tie with a strange cat like face on it. Kira looked up at him and straight into his eyes, he waited a moment before saying "It's name is Killer Queen it acts like a guardian spirit, it comes out when I'm in danger or when I call it out".
He waited another moment after this then grimaced and said "it's ability is to turn anything it touches into a bomb".
Kira knew he had to tell the truth, this man had an image of him from the fight so he obviously saw his stand's ability. And sadly that's all Killer Queen had at the moment, he had re-awakened Killer Queen after his aura being unlocked to help heal a bad injury as a child, although he would only be able to create bombs a few years later during a rough fight. As of now he still hadn't unlocked Sheer Heart Attack or Bites The Dust.
After digesting this information Ozpin looked up and said "I am the headmaster at Beacon academy, a school that trains huntresses and hunters, and would love to have you join this year".
It didn't take long for Kira to reply with a sharp and decisive "no" after this a silence fell upon the room as Ozpin thought about a way to get him to agree.
Eventually he asked a simple question "why not?" After all a young man with his aura unlocked and such a strong semblance should be honoured to join Beacon. He didn't expect the answer he would hear.
Sitting up straight from his relaxed position he uncrossed his legs and bent over the table he lowered his head and came to eye level with Ozpin with a large breath he started his speech "My name is Yoshikage Kira Arc. I'm seventeen years old. My house is in the northeast section of Vale, where all the apartments are, and I am not married. I work odd jobs in and around Vale while I look for permanent employment , and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke, but I occasionally drink. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness."
He paused for a moment then continued "this is why I don't want to join you school and be a hunter it would simply cause me too much stress and cause me too lose sleep."
Ozpin was left speechless for a moment trying to think away around this boys speech when an idea came to his mind " your brother Jaune Arc, he is coming to Beacon this year is he not?" He said with a hidden smirk.
Kira raised an eyebrow at this "I suppose he is, but my brothers dreams are his and not my own" he slowly said with a cautions tone.
Ozpin just chuckled at his and said "yes but what if I were to tell you his transcripts were forged? Now this is a serious crime he could easily go to prison for this with a Hefty bail, now that would be a detriment to your quiet life wouldn't it? How much sleep would you lose over that" He paused letting his words settle then continued saying "although if you were to join I suppose this could be swept under the rug after all having such a strong young man such as yourself join could certainly balance it out." After this Kira's eyebrows furrowed and his visage visibly darkened.
After a while of silence he Kira spoke up saying "blackmail Is rather unbecoming of a headmaster, although I suppose if it works it justifies the means" he gave off a heavy sigh and said "I'll enroll in Beacon".
He didn't like this, not one bit but he had to do it not only would Jaune be arrested and his family forced to fork over money for bail he also would have to support Jaune as he is his only family inside of Vale. But as he though about it he looked on the bright side for four years he wouldn't have to worry about money or housing or food and after graduation he could take small jobs enough that he wouldn't lose any sleep.
With a sigh Kira rose from his seat and Ozpin rose to meet him, they shook hands and Ozpin's smile met Kira's scowl Ozpin said "I'll see you there" in a triumphant tone and left the room. As he left Kira collapsed into his seat and started biting his nail, this was bad, very bad this would no doubt cause stress from either exams and homework, annoying peers or dangerous situations he had no doubt this would disturb his quiet life.
