UA's Saiyan Heroes
"How much longer is this gonna take Athena?" Kaen questioned, sitting on a chair next to Izumi.
"It shouldn't take too much longer." The Saiyan engineer said.
Kaen and Izumi were currently sitting on their chairs with wires and suction cups sticking to their faces as Athena did her analysis.
"Alright, I'm finished with the scientific analysis, now I just need to use Xerox to examine both One-for-All's." Athena said.
"It's kinda crazy. Kaen and I both ended up with our own versions of One-for-All." Izumi said as Athena removed the wires from their faces. "How did One-for-All come to be? This whole situation is starting to make me curious about how ir actually came into existence. Was it natural, or was it created just like how yours was?"
"I don't know, I think my dad wants to save that tidbit of information for when we're ready." Kaen said.
"Well this might have forced him to speedup the timetable a bit." Athena said, pulling a chair up for her to sit on in front of Kaen and Izumi. "Okay, just close your eyes and relax. That's all I need you to do, as I do my work." She explained while putting her hands on their cheeks.
"Right." Kaen said.
The three of them closed their eyes, as Athena began using Xerox to analyze both Quirks within Kaen and Izumi. When she opened her eyes again, she was in in a dark room, surrounded by what looked like large holographic screens, three of them to be precise, while behind her were holographic icons of flames with the labels of Quirks on each one.
Walking towards the monitors, she snapped her fingers, and they opened up revealing the images of Kaen on the left screen, and Izumi on the right.
"No, let's see how your Quirks work." Athena said, analyzing the two Quirks.
~Villains Dive Bar~
"Damn it. That hurts." Shigaraki growled as Kurogiri changed the bandages on his bullet wounds.
"You say that every time I change the bandages every two hours." Kurogiri said.
"At least he's not turning the first aid kit to dust anymore." Celeron said, drinking from a bottle of whisky.
"What exactly are you still doing here ya monkey?" Shigaraki questioned.
"I'm here, because I'm still part of the team." Celeron stated.
"After that failure, I'd have thought Master would have killed you during your talk."
"As for that racial slur, you'd better can it, ya Frieza wannabe."
"You're still claiming to be an alien from a nearly extinct race? Cut the crap and face reality you Chuunibyou freak, you're a human, with a very powerful Quirk." Shigaraki growled. "It's thanks to your idiocy that we not only lost the Anti-Symbol of Peace Nomu, but also my Nomu Slave."
"An' you say I'm the twisted one." Celeron glared. "Even I think turning your own father into a mindless slave is wrong. Thank God he's dead so he can't be turned into one."
"Shut up. If you are an alien, then where the hell's your spaceship?"
"The ship I came to earth in, is in the backyard of All Might's house, being hidden by a shed lined with a metal that prevents detection through technological or other means." Celeron said. "Besides, the damned thing's useless now. The only thing it's good for these days is a stationary lab. My Aunt damaged the main floater in the engine when landing on this planet, preventing it from being used for any sort of travel ever again."
"An' what of the flying fortress you had over the USJ in the sky?" Kurogiri questioned.
"My fortress is most likely still above the USJ in the Exosphere. It took me months to figure out how the controls worked just to make it move. So I'm pretty sure the fortress isn't gonna be moved until someone either claims it, or the authorities figure out how to move it."
"Have you tried going back to retrieve it?" Shigaraki questioned.
"I tried, but the Fortress's defenses attacked me once I set foot there. Even for someone like me it was too much to handle." Celeron explained.
"Almost as if it had intelligence." Kurogiri said.
"At least you weren't getting your ass handed to you by your brother again. His remains should be sitting in an urn right about now." Shigaraki stated.
"Disgraceful, the rightful King of the Saiyans beaten down by a weakling with a lower power level. It's humiliating. It's an affront to the Saiyan name. I'm the King and the Legendary Super Saiyan. I should be unstoppable. I did the right thing, by making an example of that fool. No one, disrespects the King and gets away with it."
"What makes you think you're the King of anything?" Shigaraki questioned.
"Unlike you pathetic weak earthlings who chose their rulers through a democratic system, the King of Saiyans is chosen based on power level. An' my power level, surpasses even that of the late King Vegeta the third, and Prince Vegeta the Fourth, whom is still alive." Celeron explained. "So I am rightful King."
"Interesting. You truly believe your beating, at the hands of your little brother, was completely unfair, and impossible. You think a King is defined by his power and strength alone, his ability to rule with an Iron Fist. Yet you do not see, that your brother bested you, because of one thing." A voice came from the television in the bar. "Kaen bested you, because power levels aren't absolute."
"What?" Celeron questioned turning to the television. "Care to repeat, All-for-One?"
"Watch your tone Celeron." Shigaraki said.
"If you rely on your victory and believe it to be assured just by seeing someone's power level and assume you have the upper hand without considering the options, then you've already lost." All-for-One stated. "Power levels can be hidden, they can be altered at the fighters will. All it requires is a bit of concentration, and lots of training, and someone can possess the ability to hide what their true power is, even from the scouters you used in the Frieza Force."
"Damn it." Celeron growled. "So Pinach was playing me for a fool this entire time? He was actually stronger than me?"
"Not necessarily." Kurogiri said. "I do not believe your brother possesses the ability to suppress or alter his true power level. Instead I believe his power level rose, with his anger, and that's how he was able to defeat both you, and the Anti-Symbol of Peace Nomu."
"True Kurogiri. Power levels can increase by leaps and bounds in an instant, because they're directly connected to one's emotions, and thus can shift just as easily." All-for-One said. "Just like the Quirk I had your sister give him all those years ago. However, there is a single miscalculation, you did not account for regarding your brothers tenacity, and will to live and fight."
The television flashed from, Audio Only, to a picture of a newspaper article, with the headline being of a U.A Student, rescued from Death's Door, and an image of the student who'd suffered.
"The hell?" Celeron questioned, jumping to his feet. "What the fuck is it gonna take to kill that pain in my ass, once and for all?"
"It would seem fate favor's him more then you." All-for-One said. "But we can rectify that. All it will take, is some time."
"I see. So how do you propose I defeat him, with time?" Celeron questioned.
"How did you learn the Kamehameha Wave and the Tri-Beam attack?" All-for-One questioned.
"I spied on Kakarot and studied his life, and every move." Celeron said.
"Then you've just answered your own question." All-for-One stated. "We'll stay our hand, and wait to strike, until the time is right. Then, we shall destroy our enemies."
~Athena's Mindscape~
"I can't seem to figure this out." Athena said looking at the middle monitor, and the two side monitors, with several lines of data and information, visible to her on the center screen. "I mean, it's simple enough, so long as I'm not trying to steal either of the One-for-All's, my Quirk can affect it. I've already made a copy of both the Quirks cores, which would have made, five One-for-All's in total, had I not erased two of them for safety reasons. But what I can't figure out is, why the Quirks themselves won't allow for me to take them for research. It's almost as if the Core's are sentient, and they resist being taken on purpose. If that's the case, then there's more to the original One-for-All, then we initially thought."
Closing her eyes, Athena returned to reality, and removed her hands from Kaen and Izumi's faces, rolling back to her workbench.
"Uh, Athena you've only been quiet for like a minute. What gives?" Kaen asked. "Were you able to find out anything in that short amount of time?"
"It might have been a minute out here in reality, but in my Quirk's Mindscape, it's been several hours. An' I figured out a few things that I can do for you Kaen, and what the problem is." Athena said, working on a leather wristband. "Both One-for-All's, are the exact same in nature. It would seem they're both comprised of the same base components, meaning the Quirks that formed them. But they were formed, from a strong emotion, a strong, powerful sense or moral justice."
"Meaning?"
"All-for-One, must have had a hand in creating, the original One-for-All, and that's why he's so obsessed with it." Athena said. "An' now, history has repeated itself, because whoever was the first user of One-for-All, must have had a strong will, and determined sense of morality, as those Quirks were being forced onto him, and as they became part of him, he made it impossible for All-for-One, to take back the Quirk he created."
"An' now history has repeated itself with me and Celeron." Kaen said.
"Exactly." Athena said.
"What can you do to make Kaen's One-for-All, stronger without him having to pass it down?" Izumi questioned.
"When I was doing my research, I figured out that I can use Xerox to add Quirks to Kaen's One-for-All, but I'm not sure if the physical strength of those who possess the Quirks will be added." Athena explained using Xerox on what she was working on, before turning around with it in her hands. "But I theorize that the strength should be added, if the ones you copy the Quirks from, remain alive while the Quirk is being copied."
"So how does this work?" Kaen questioned as Athena put the leather band on his wrist.
"It's simple, if you see someone with a Quirk you think would be utilized in One-for-All, then you just think about copying the Quirk, and the wrist band will do the rest and add it to your One-for-All." Athena instructed.
"So how would that work, like what Quirk did you use to make the wrist band?" Kaen inquired.
"I used a modified version of Xerox, in the wrist band. I downgraded it to where it can only copy, and if you want before adding it to your One-for-All, upgrade any Quirks you think might be of help." Athena said. "Before the Quirk you grab will be added to your One-for-All, you'll get a sort of sensation in the back of your head, asking if you'd want to upgrade the Quirk."
"Like an IOS update on my phone." Kaen asked.
"Those suck." Izumi added.
"Exactly like that. If you choose no, you should feel a rush of energy as the Quirk is added to your One-for-All core, but if you choose yes, you'll be shown a holographic screen that will allow you to modify the Quirk however you want. Just don't do it in public though, people will think that you're crazy if you're seen just sitting or standing there, acting like you're working on an invisible keyboard and computer." Athena said. "Now, since we're done here, let's give it a test drive. Anyone in particular you wanna try it out on?"
"Mmm… I got one person in mind." Kaen said.
~Downstairs~
"Ashido, when are we going?" Eri asked, sitting at the kitchen table.
"We'll be leaving in just a moment Eri, but first you gotta eat your breakfast sweetie." Mina said, brushing back a few of Eri's bangs while setting a plate of bacon and eggs down in front of her. "How are you feeling though sweetie? Still have a headache from Athena switching out your Quirk?"
"No, I'm fine now." Eri said, eating her breakfast.
Eri sat at the table, wearing a blue corduroy dress, with leggings and a white shirt underneath. Her hair was combed and tied back in a braid, with a pair of tiger ears sitting on top of her head, and a tiger tail sprouted from the small of her back. Her eyes were feline, with six whisker markings on her cheeks, and when she opened her mouth, her canines could be seen, visibly longer then they were the day before. She had a red shoulder strap bag over her shoulder, with a sun hat in her arms. Mina was upset though, because Eri still wasn't smiling.
"So, what Quirk did Athena give you?" Mina inquired.
"I wanted a Quirk that would make me brave, and as strong as Papa." Eri said.
"Papa, you mean Kaen?" Mina asked, receiving a nod from Eri. "Did Athena give you the Quirk you wanted?" Eri just nodded again. "Hey, it's okay to be inspired by those you look up to. You're admiration for Kaen is justified, so don't worry about upsetting us because of your choice of Quirk, you're fine just the way you are."
"Ashido, we're all set to go. Where's Kaen?" Kirishima asked, coming into the kitchen.
"He's still in Athena's workshop." Mina said before she squealed as Kaen picked her up by the waist.
"Not anymore." Kaen smiled, spinning her around the room, before setting Mina back on her feet.
"Kaen, careful of the cargo. These babies are delicate." Mina giggled, gently rubbing her belly.
"Then I have some good news for you. Athena's gonna be able to take them back now." Kaen said.
"Really? I'm gonna miss having them inside me, but I guess she has to get back at being a surrogate at some point." Mina smiled.
"Hey, be glad you're not the one delivering them when it's time for them to come into the world." Athena said, putting a hand on Eri's head as she came into the room. "You adjusting to your new Quirk?"
"I'm doing fine." Eri said.
"You look good, my old clothes really suit you." Athena smiled.
"Apparently, Athena gave Eri a mixed Quirk of yours, and a white tiger Quirk." Mina said.
"Really?" Kaen asked.
"I'll explain it later." Athena said. "Right now, I need to get those babies back inside of me."
Pressing her flat belly against Mina's, Athena transferred the babies from the pink skinned girl, back to her, leaving Mina with a flat belly once again.
"I actually feel kinda better having them back with me, no offense Mina." Athena said, rubbing her belly.
"None taken." Mina smiled.
"Hey man, is everything okay?" Kirishima questioned.
"Yeah, Athena just had some final tests to take care of with what happened to me at the USJ against Akuma." Kaen explained.
"Enough talking." Ruby called from the other room, popping her head in. "Are we heading out or not?"
~Later~
"We've finally made it." Ruby cheered throwing her arms in the air.
"An indoor water park? That's what you had planned for today?" Kaen questioned.
The Saiyan teen was dressed in a simple pair of swimming trunks, made of the same fabric as suits for scuba divers. Beside him was Mina, who was wearing a tankini top, holding in her H-Cup chest, and mini shorts, and a choker around her neck, with the same pattern as her hero costume, sporting a baby bump a bit bigger then Athena's, with Eri in Kaen's arms, wearing a one piece suit with little frills around her waist, and a floaty doughnut on Kaen's other shoulder.
"Hey, the girls have been wanting to take me out since they found out about Seryuu attacking me." Athena said.
Athena stood in front of them, wearing a black one piece, backless swimsuit with a violet trim on the edges, emphasizing the curve of her baby bump.
Beside her on either side, were Izumi and Ruby.
Izumi wore a lime green one piece swimsuit, that emphasized her D-Cup chest, with a darker shade of green lining the edges. Ruby wore a three piece bikini that held in her chest, and it was clear neither of them were wearing their pregnancy simulating bands, like they had last night during the sleepover. It was obvious, Izumi was embarrassed about being seen like this.
"Hey come on man, chill out. Let's just have some fun. We promised Jiro and Uraraka we'd have fun for them, since they couldn't make it." Kirishima said, wearing a red version of the swim suit Kaen wore.
Athena turned away, as she couldn't help but blush when she saw Kirishima's sculpted form.
'Oh Gods, it's like I'm staring at the body of a Greek Deity from lore.' Athena mentally panicked, her face redder then Ruby's bikini. 'How and when did he get so fit, he was not like this in middle school.'
"Besides, I'm pretty sure there's something here, that could make Eri smile." Mina said.
"Fine." Kaen sighed. "I'll take Eri on the water slide, you enjoy some girl time with Athena, Ruby, and Izumi."
"Don't forget about Jenny and Mei. They'll be here in a bit." Athena stated.
"I'm gonna go get some snacks for the expectant mama." Kirishima said heading for the snack stands.
"I'm just a surrogate." Athena said, blushing as her eyes followed Kirishima.
"Kaen, why don't I take Eri to the lazy river before you take her to the slide? You do have something to talk about with Athena, right?"
"I do." Kaen said. "Be good for Ashido, Eri. An' be sure to have fun."
"Come on Eri, let's leave your Papa to talk with Aunty." Mina said, taking the floaty doughnut, and heading for the lazy river.
"Why don't we go see if Kirishima needs help getting the food while they talk." Izumi suggested leading Ruby away.
"Sure, sounds good." Ruby said.
Once they were gone, Athena knew what Kaen was gonna ask, before he needing to question it.
"Athena, what Quirk of mine did you give Eri, exactly?" Kaen questioned.
"I just gave her to two she picked out from my roster of Quirks, merged with her own, One-for-All core." Athena said.
"By the Gods Athena… Do you realize the damage you've done Athena?" Kaen questioned. "Do you realize that not only do Izumi and I have targets on our backs, because we both have our own One-for-All's, but now you've painted an even bigger target on Eri's back, then she had before."
"Rewind is no longer with her." Athena said.
"Overhaul doesn't know that." Kaen stated. "Now, if Celeron, or anyone else from the L.O.V, finds out about Eri's One-for-All, they're gonna be gunning for her, and they'll try to forcefully recruit her. Not to mention the fact, her body, cannot handle the output of One-for-All's, current strength with the way she is right now."
"Alright I get it, I messed up. But the only Quirk that's in her One-for-All core is her White Wrath Quirk."
"White Wrath?" Kaen questioned.
"Before merging White Wrath with her One-for-All, I merged the two Quirks, White Tiger and Wrath, together to form the Quirk, White Wrath." Athena explained. "White Tiger, is what you'd think, a Quirk that gives her the agility, speed, strength, and instincts, of an actual white tiger. Wrath, on the other hand, allows for Eri's strength to increase, the angrier she gets. An' being turned into White Wrath, it might affect her the White Tiger part of her Quirk."
"Athena, don't you think that could have been enough? If she gets angry enough, she could become strong enough to rival Izumi at 100% of One-for-All." Kaen groaned.
"Not possible. The Wrath Quirk has a limiter on it, the strongest she'd get at her angriest, would be 50% of Izumi's One-for-All." Athena stated. "Speaking of One-for-All, have you added Kirishima's Quirk to it yet?"
"I copied it earlier when we left the house. It worked like a charm. But now the wristband is in my locker with the rest of my stuff." Kaen sighed. "Don't think you're out of the woods with this. Mom and Dad are gonna have a field day with this when they hear about it."
"It's not like One-for-All, can be stolen. I doubt she even knows she can transfer it to a successor. Believe me, Eri's not gonna lose it, and with you as her example, she'll become a great hero." Athena said.
"Speaking of, I think it's time I took Eri to the water slide." Kaen said, rushing off.
"Finally he's gone." Athena sighed, sitting on a pool chair, and leaning back into it. "I did not need him interrogating me on what Quirk I gave Eri."
"Hey baby mama, how you doing over here?"
Athena smiled as she felt a hand on her belly, and looked up to see Jenny being the culprit with Mei standing next to her. Jenny was in a sky blue bikini, with an unzipped hoodie on her shoulders, wearing her pregnancy simulator, with her own baby bump, the same size as Athena's. Mei was in a open middle one piece swimsuit, allowing for her own pregnant belly to breathe, as she wore her pregnancy simulator wrist band, and smiled happily. From what Athena could see, Mei's smile broadened after she first got the pregnancy simulator.
"The babies kicking yet?" Jenny asked.
"No, it's still too early for that. But it feels good having them back from Mina." Athena smiled. "Not that she won't make a good mother one day, I just feel better knowing I'm taking care of them again."
"So where's this brother of yours?" Mei asked. "I really wanna take a look at that shield of his. I'm excited to figure out what it's made of."
"You won't be able to figure that one out." Athena said. "The metal is a synthetic mix called Darmanium, and our lab doesn't have the tech to reverse engineer the components."
"That just makes me even more excited." Mei smiled. "Think of all the babies I could make with a metal alloy like that."
"Ironic, you're actually carrying infants, while she calls her creations, babies." Jenny chuckled.
"Hey, we're back." Ruby said, coming with Izumi and Kirishima following her. "Jenny, Mei, when did you get here?"
"Just a bit ago." Jenny smiled. "Why aren't either of you wearing your Pregnancy Bands?"
"I'm embarrassed enough as is, wearing a swimsuit out in public." Izumi said.
"Yang will kill me if she catches me with a pregnant belly. She's only ten minutes older, why does she have to be so overbearing?" Ruby questioned.
"Sounds like you've got a lot of issues to work out with your sister." Athena chuckled, as Kirishima gave her some food.
"Yeah well, there's a lot you don't wanna get involved with, involving her family." Kirishima said.
"So, who's up for some swimming?" Jenny asked.
"I'm good. I'm not too far along, but I'm not gonna be a descent swimmer with this cargo." Athena smiled.
"I'm good. I like swimming, but I ate a lot for breakfast, so I don't wanna cramp up." Kirishima smiled. "I might come and join the fun later."
"Suit yourself." Ruby smiled, heading off with the others.
There was a moment of silence, as Athena kept eating her food, before she realized something.
'Hold on, I'm sitting here, alone with Kirishima. I'm alone with Kirishima.' She mentally panicked.
"Hey Athena, you alright?" Kirishima questioned.
"Hmm? Yeah, of course I'm alright, why wouldn't I be?" Athena asked.
"It's just your face is getting all red. You're not getting sick are you? Or is there something wrong with the babies?" Kirishima questioned, putting his hand on her belly.
'He's touching my belly.'
"Oh, sorry I didn't ask permission first. That was so not manly of me at all." Kirishima said, scolding himself.
"No, no. It's alright. If you wanna feel my belly, just let me know, and you can." Athena said, sitting up and turning to face him on the pool chair. "Unlike with the Pregnancy Bands, these babies will start moving around inside my belly when they're able to."
"Guess that was one thing you couldn't replicate with a Quirk." Kirishima said.
"Yeah, I was never able to figure that part out." Athena chuckled.
"Hey, you're smiling." Kirishima pointed out.
"Yeah, so what?" Athena questioned.
"It's just, ever since the USJ incident, you haven't really smiled all that much when Kaen was injured. I think it looks good, you should smile more often." Kirishima said, giving his own smile.
"That's sweet of you to say." Athena said.
There was a moment of silence as Athena went to lean in to Kirishima, but paused and sat right up, when her phone went off.
"Oh for crying out… now of all times?" Athena questioned, grabbing her phone, and answering it. "Hello?… Now, seriously? Can't it wait for like, an hour?… That's all the time you're gonna give me, isn't it?… Alright, fine I'm on my way. I'll see you soon Tsukauchi." She groaned, before putting her phone back in her bag. "Just great."
"What's up?" Kirishima asked.
"I've just been called in to the station. Apparently they've got a prisoner they want me to strip the Quirk of." Athena sighed, getting up and grabbing her bag. "Thanks for the snacks, and I'm sorry I can't stay longer. I'll pay you back as soon as I can."
"Don't worry about it, there's no need." Kirishima said. "You want me to grab Kaen for you?"
"Tsukauchi did ask for him to accompany me." Athena said. "If you don't mind? He should be coming down the slide with Mina and Eri any time now."
"Right." Kirishima said, getting up and heading for the base of the slide.
~Police Station: 2 Hours Later~
"So, you sure we have to do this?" Kaen asked as they marched up the steps to the police station.
"Tsukauchi said it was into Kotaro Shimura, who Izumi restrained back at the USJ, the DNA and Quirk Base proves it." Athena said.
"So, what does that have to do with you?" Mina questioned, Eri by her side.
"I can use Xerox, to remove all the Quirks he's been given. An' with the recent addition of Eri's old Quirk, Rewind, I can undo the genetic engineering that's been done to his body." Athena stated, as they were greeted by Tsukauchi.
"Welcome you two… uh, what is Ms. Ashido, and Eri doing here?" Tsukauchi asked.
"They refused to leave my side." Kaen said.
"Okay, well if that's the case, then they're just gonna have to wait in another interrogation room while you do your work." Tsukauchi said.
"Athena's the Quirk specialist, and I'm the muscle." Kaen said.
"Right." Tsukauchi said, as they passed him. "Also, there's one more thing. I had someone look into the Shie Hassaikai's family tree, and we found Eri's biological mother. She'll be brought in soon. You might wanna keep Eri out of her view."
"Right." Kaen said, following Mina and the others in. "Mina, keep an eye open. Eri's biological mother might be brought in soon, and if she abandoned Eri, there's a chance she could try killing her if she's spotted."
"Got it." Mina said.
"You two will wait in here. There'll be a guard posted outside if you need anything." Tsukauchi said, opening a door to a waiting room. "I'll have some coloring supplies brought in for Eri."
"Thanks Detective." Mina smiled, leading Eri into the room.
"You gonna be okay in here on your own?" Kaen questioned.
"We'll be fine. Go, help Shimura face her Nomu son." Mina said, giving Kaen a kiss on the cheek. "If he tries anything, be sure to let him have it."
"Right." Kaen smiled.
"Everything should be alright. We're just gonna be in the other room." Tsukauchi said, directing them to the door a ways to the right.
Leaving Eri and Mina in the interrogation room, Tsukauchi opened the door to the interrogation room where the Nomu Kotaro was, chained up and pinned to a chair. To Athena and Kaen's surprise, Midnight, All Might, Gine, and Nana were there as well, with Police Chief Tsuragamae behind Kotaro.
"I can't believe this happened to Kotaro. How could my efforts have gone so wrong?" Nana questioned. "What now?"
"Now, we try to find out what's in his subconscious. He's out cold thanks to my Quirk, but we still need to learn what he may be hiding." Midnight said.
"I have a Quirk that can project memories like an old school projector. But I'm pregnant, and with someone else's kids. I don't wanna risk harming them if Kotaro suddenly wakes up, and starts lashing out and harming the babies if I get too close." Athena said, putting a hand on the swell of her stomach.
"It'll be fine. He's under a heavy dose of my Somnambulist so he's docile until it wears off in about an hour. But as the Quirks are removed, the effects of my own will probably weaken and wear off once all of them have been taken out. So now's the perfect chance to peer into his memories." Midnight said.
"All right, if you're sure about this." Athena said, walking up to Kotaro.
"Let's see just what happened to cause Kotaro to become what he is now." Nana sighed as Athena touched Kotaro's exposed brain, with a shiver, and her eyes began to light up, before they projected what looked like a black and white film on the wall of the containment room.
"No sound?" Tsuragamae inquired.
"No, there's a limit to how much she can use this Quirk while pregnant." Gine said. "Any more and she could risk a miscarriage. Her body is already under the strain of being a surrogate for a twin pregnancy. An' using Mental Projector puts a massive strain on her body with the video alone. Audio might cause a miscarriage."
"Very well." Tsuragamae said.
"Don't worry, I can read lips easily enough, so I can write down what's happening in the memory." Kaen said, pulling a pen and paper from his back pocket, as he began writing down what was happening in Kotaro's past.
"Look, is that Tomura?" Nana asked, seeing the child version of the villain that attack the USJ, playing with a puppy that couldn't have been more than seven months old. "What's he doing in my son's memories?"
"We pulled records on Kotaro when his DNA was authenticated, and it shows he had a wife, and two children, the oldest a daughter, and the youngest… a son." Tsukauchi said. "It would seem, Tomura is Kotaro's son, like Kaen said."
"Why does he seem to be so scared of his father?" Tsuragamae asked before they were all shocked at what happened next.
Kotaro grabbed Tomura by the neck and raised him off the ground, before slapping him around, and even punched him in the face.
"Okay, Tomura's name was originally Tenko." Kaen said. "An' Kotaro is pissed about Tenko going into his office, rummaging through his desk and… finding the picture of him with Nana that was taken, a month before he was put in the foster care system. That's why he's mad, and why he's beating his son."
"Athena can you delve further back into his memories, try and see something that happened before then?" Nana asked.
Athena nodded and the footage playing seemed to rewind, stopping at something that happened earlier that day. Nana's eyes widened when she saw Kotaro was talking with a man in a black suit with a fedora with Tenko at his side, and the familiar face she despised, before the boy was brought into the house by Kotaro. After the talking was over, Kotaro beat Tenko around, before shoving him into the back yard.
"Here it seems All-for-One played a hand in this. He brought Tenko home after he was lost, and found him playing hero with his friends. Kotaro banned anything involving heroes from his household, saying heroes were nothing more than a curse upon society, and the light beating he gave Tenko, was a punishment for idolizing heroes like he had. In some twisted mindset, he thought of what he's doing, as a means of protecting his family."
"So... Kotaro thought what he was doing was right, all because I was trying to protect him?" Nana questioned, her fists clenched.
"He tried forcing his own ideals onto his family, and physically abused them if they fought back or disagreed with him even by a small margin." Midnight said. "I'm sorry Nana, but your son is scum."
"I don't disagree with you on that one." Nana said.
"Why would he choose to become so violent with his family?" All Might questioned.
"But I can't help but feel responsible for this outcome."
"You did what you thought was right. No one can fault you for that." Gine said. "Alright Athena, I think we've seen enough of the past. Now let's take a look as to how Tenko snapped, and became Tomura. I'm sure Kotaro caught a glimpse of it."
Athena sped through the memories before stopping at a memory that really seemed to stick out in Kotaro's mind, as it was so vivid and clear, until the other memories.
"It appears Kotaro's wife and the rest of her family were gonna leave him after that beating he gave Tenko, and when he went out after hearing a commotion he…"
To everyone's horror, the backyard was all in ruins as Tenko was on his knees in the middle of decaying earth with blood and severed hands all around him, crying for it all to stop, for someone to make it stop, and his hair having paled and turned an off white color.
"He unlocked his Quirk. Decay." Nana said as Tenko went from crying in fear, to crying in rage as he ran at Kotaro, after the older man hit Tenko with a branch trimmer, and the film ended after they caught a glimpse with Tenko's hand gripping Kotaro's face.
"That's the end of it." Athena said removing her hand from Kotaro's head, before backing away as she felt dizzy. "I doubt he's gonna have any memory of his time being revived or serving Tomura as a Nomu. It's possible, the first thing he'll recall, is that situation leading to his demise."
"Then, once you feel up to it, remove all the Quirks he's been filled with, and do something to undo the bio engineering that's happened to him." Midnight said as Nana backed up.
Taking a breath, and nodding in conformation, Athena put her hand to Kotaro's face, placing her fingers on the sides of his head, partially touching the brain. After a quick shiver at the feeling of the living grey matter, Athena began searching through the mess of Quirks that were jumbled together like a ball of yarn, before he found the end of the thread of yarn and began pulling, unraveling the mess, one Quirk at a time, by either stripping it from Kotaro, or erasing the Quirks entirely, until finally, Nana's son was Quirkless.
"Well, aren't you gonna turn him back?" Nana asked.
"Patience. I have the right Quirk for the job, but I've never used it before." Athena said. "So there's a chance I won't be able to control it."
Searching through her multitude of Quirks, Athena brought Eri's to the surface. When she took Eri's Quirk, she took the energy that had been stored up, and that was a bonus. Holding her hand out to Kotaro, Athena let the energy flow, and envelop Kotaro, before he began to reduce in size, before he was back to normal, the chains on the chair, no longer being able to restrain him, and his pants being too big for him. When she was done, Athena sighed as she stepped back, before Kotaro began to stir, and wake up with a start.
"TENKO NO!" Kotaro shouted before he realized something. "Huh, where am I? What's going on here?"
"Kotaro..."
Kotaro looked up to who had said his name, before he was sent flying and hit the back wall with a thud. Looking back up after he'd stopped moving back, his cheek was now swollen and the one responsible was standing beside Nana with steam rising from her fist, and the sight of her made Kotaro scowl.
"Oh, it's the bitch who abandoned me." Kotaro growled. "What the hell do you want? First you abandon me, then you return only to abuse me? What the hell kind of parent are you?"
"Oh don't give me that crap about what kind of parent I am, not with the way you abused your own son." Nana said, as All Might put a hand on her shoulder to calm her down. "You tried to force him to hate heroes as much as you. Why the hell, couldn't you have just let him follow his dreams?"
"Heroes are nothing but monsters who hurt their families just to help complete strangers. They prioritize the safety and wellbeing of random people over their loved ones, and don't care how that kind of life would effect them, so yeah, I tried to make him hate you monsters as much as I do, because that's all you are." Kotaro said.
"Will you shut up?" Kaen questioned, grabbing him by the back of the neck. "You know, normally I don't like torture as interrogation, but I'm starting to get used to the idea for you."
"Hold it Kaen." Athena said, grabbing his forearm. "Couldn't you tell from when he woke up? He has zero memory of what happened after his death, which means he won't have any useful information to give us if we interrogated him about the League or Celeron's alliance with them."
"Listen to your girlfriend there kid. I won't be much use to you." Kotaro said.
"She's my sister, not my girlfriend." Kaen said, squeezing harder on the back of his neck.
"Whatever, the point is, I have zero clue as to what any of you are talking about. A League, Celeron? Sounds like a bunch of mumbo jumbo to me." Kotaro exclaimed.
"You listen to me, and you listen good ya child beating bastard." Kaen said, switching to grabbing Kotaro by the throat and lifting his face to look directly at him. "The League is a reference to the League of Villains, a group of villains, your son, the young boy you turned into a monster, is the leader of."
"What? Tenko is only four years old, and just unlocked his Quirk. How could he be part of a Villain group already?" Kotaro questioned.
"What you experienced as 5 minutes, was actually 16 years ago." All Might said. "Tenko Shimura, is now Tomura Shigaraki, head of the League of Villains, and the main suspect in the invasion of the attack on the USJ."
"That's not possible I don't believe you." Kotaro said, before he was forced to bend forward as Kaen punched him in the stomach. "Who… the hell even are you kid?" He wheezed.
"Name's Kaen. I'd say it's nice to meet ya, but I'm not one to lie about stuff like that." The Saiyan teen said. "An' I'm really wanting to beat you to a pulp after what we saw in your memories."
"Remember that villain I wanted to protect you from? He's the one responsible for all of this." Nana said.
"Sure, blame it on the villains, they're your go to scape goat. Don't bother trying to take responsibility for your own negligence you bitch." Kotaro groaned, before Kaen's fist made contact with his face, and he was sent back into the wall, with Kaen pinning him to it, a firm grip on his throat.
"Watch your mouth." Kaen exclaimed as Kotaro struggled to breathe, scratching at Kaen's arm. "Nana Shimura is one of the greatest heroes in history. After what you did to your own son, you have zero right to say anything close to an insult towards her."
"Super Saiyan that's enough." Tsuragamae said raising his right hand.
"What did you just call me?" Kaen asked, looking to the police chief, as his grip on Kotaro's throat loosened.
"It's what you always claimed you'd use for your hero name. I figured if you were getting frustrated with this interrogation, it might pull you out of your emotions." Tsuragamae explained.
"Everything I did in my household, I did to protect my family. To protect them from making mistakes, from becoming failures and disgraces to society. My children were never gonna be allowed to become, so called heroes, because there is no such thing as a true hero." Kotaro stated angrily.
"Why you little…" Kaen growled, raising his fist to strike Kotaro again.
"Kaen stop this." Nana said, holding him back and keeping his fist from being thrown. "You're better than this, you're the son of the #1 Hero in the world, the fledgling Symbol of Peace. Your skin is too tough to let his words crawl under."
"Listen to her son. You're better then this, don't let your anger control you." All Might said.
Kaen took several deep breaths as he calmed down and looked back towards Kotaro, who now looked at Kaen in shock. Even before his death, Kotaro knew of the great awe inspiring power that was All Might, and he even knew of his rank and status, so it was surprising to have All Might's son, as well as the hero himself, in here with him.
"As for you Kotaro." Nana said, letting go of Kaen's arm as the Saiyan teen calmed down, but kep the adult pinned to the wall. "I realize I could have acted differently, and I could have done things differently. But I left you in the foster care system, so I could protect you from All-for-One, the very villain who took your father from us. But you… you didn't protect your family. You abused them, tried to make them think the same way you did about heroes, and drove your own son to madness. You drove him so far over the breaking point, that he didn't feel any remorse for killing you. He wanted you dead, because you were nothing but a monster to him, and quite frankly, I'm disgusted to call you my son."
"What should we do with him now?" Midnight questioned.
"I've stripped him of all Quirks, including the one he was born with. He's nothing but a Quirkless whelp now. I say we leave him be and let the world do with him as it pleases." Athena said.
"I have a friend in one of the major news stations who could print the story of how he was responsible for creating Shigaraki. The whole country knows the name of the one who lead the attack on the USJ, but they have zero clue on who was the one responsible for creating him, even if Kotaro only ignited the sparks and All-for-One fanned the flames before I defeated him for good." All Might said.
"If word were to get out that he was the one who sparked Shigaraki's hatred, no self respecting employer or CEO of any big time companies would hire this dirt bag." Athena said.
"No one would hire him anyway even if that weren't true." Midnight said. "It sucks, but in this superhuman society big time businesses only hire people with rather impressive Quirks to help them get their jobs done. An' since Athena rendered him Quirkless, there's no one besides some meager fast food chains who would hire him."
"Looks like you're gonna be flipping burgers the rest of your life Kotaro Shimura." Kaen glared, dropping the man to the ground.
"Kaen, take a walk. You need to cool down, away from the situation." Tsukauchi sighed, seeing how Kaen was having trouble keeping his temper in check. "Grab a cup of coffee or a soda. You're not needed here anymore."
"You and your sister are free to leave." Tsuragamae agreed.
"I'm gonna stay, I need to talk with my mom and dad about something."
"You all think you're so righteous." Kotaro began, before Kaen could leave. "Well you're not. Heroes are nothing but selfish monsters who don't actually care about what happens to the people around them. What I did, what I've always done to my family, was to protect them. To keep them safe."
Kaen sighed before he pulled his fist back, and socked Kotaro with a jab-cross combo to the face.
"You could have protected your family in more ways than one...you just had to have heart and mind about it." Gine said, using a handkerchief to wipe the blood from Kaen's knuckles, before he turned for the door.
The moment Kaen was out the door, and it was closed behind him, he looked up to head straight for the interrogation room, but paused, when he saw a woman, who looked like an older version of Eri's old self.
"Arachna Chisaki?" Kaen asked, as an officer brought her forward.
"Yes, that's me."
"Do you know why you're here?" Kaen questioned.
"Not really. But I have a feeling, I'm about to find out."
"You're being charged with child abandonment." Kaen said. "You're daughter, was turned into a lab rat, for two years, by Kai Chisaki."
"That little demon is not my daughter. She killed my husband, turned him into nothing." Arachna said. "She's a cursed child, and she should have been killed."
"That is no way for a mother, to talk about her own flesh and blood." Kaen growled. "Your daughter is in that room, right now, unable to smile, all because you couldn't deal with the fact, her Quirk activated for the first time, and your husband, was caught in the crossfire." He said, pointing to the second interrogation room.
"Wait, she's here?" Arachna questioned.
"Yes she's here." Kaen glared. "An' she's under my protection."
"KILL HER. SHE'S A CURSED CHILD. KILL HER WHILE YOU STILL CAN BEFORE SHE KILLS US ALL." Arachna cried out, as the officer standing guard at the interrogation room Eri and Mina were in, and the officer escorting her, tried restraining her.
Knocking down the officers, Arachna splashed some poison in Kaen's eyes, blinding him, while pushing him back, before grabbing one of the officers firearms, and kicked in the door.
Wiping the poison from his eyes, Kaen glared at Arachna before green electricity enveloped his body, and he jumped at the woman, kicking her away from the door, before he grabbed it, and closed it behind him. His vision was still a little blurry from what Arachna did, but that didn't mean she had the upper hand. Kaen could still sense her actions, through her Ki.
Picking herself up, Arachna turned to Kaen and raised her gun as she stepped forward, while Kaen remained in his martial arts stance.
"Don't you see…? She'll kill us all if I don't kill her first. It was a mistake to keep her alive in the first place." She said, firing the gun and emptying the magazine on Kaen.
Kaen crossed his arms over his chest, taking each bullet, as each hit, bruised his arms, damaging them further and further until Arachna ran out of bullets.
When she was out of rounds, Kaen acted fast, moving in front of her, and grabbed Arachna by the throat. Keeping a tight grip on Arachna, Kaen slammed Eri's former mother into the ground with enough force to cause the floor to cave in a bit with cracks spiderwebbing out, making the woman let go of the gun, and her eyes to rolling into the back of her head momentarily.
"Papa." Eri cried out as the door opened, before the child went running to Kaen as he fell to one knee while her biological mother was restrained and put in cuffs. "Papa you're hurt." She gasped, seeing his arms.
"I'm fine Kitten. It's nothing more then a bit of bruising. An' I just gotta rinse out my eyes, but I'll be fine." Kaen chuckled. "Are you okay?"
"I'm okay Papa. But you got hurt protecting me." Eri said.
"You heard him, it's just some bruising, he'll be perfectly fine." Mina said, kneeling next to them.
"Besides, if it's to protect my family, I would go through hell and back." Kaen smiled, putting a hand on Eri's head.
"What are you waiting for? Kill her already before she kills us all." Eri's mother said as she was restrained. "She's a cursed child, and needs to die, before she has the chance to erase us all from existence."
"You know what, I've had it with your crazy talk." Mina glared, getting to her feet. "Eri sweetie, look away and cover your ears."
"You heard her Princess." Kaen said, pulling Eri in for a hug while covering her ears.
"First you make an attempt to kill Eri, your own flesh and blood, then you empty a magazine out on my boyfriend, after blinding him with poison…" As Mina was saying this, the palms of her hands became moist with steam rising from them. "…and now you're telling us to kill Eri, and calling her a cursed child. As if abandoning her to a maniac with a cleanliness fetish wasn't bad enough." She declared, slapping her hands over Arachna's eyes, right before she started crying out in pain as the acid ate away at her skin and flesh. "You are a monster, and you'll never see another sunrise, so long as you live."
After a few seconds of this, Mina removed her hand, and stopped the acid from eating away at any more of Arachna's face, leaving hand shaped burn marks over her eyes, while they were covered in blood, leaving the woman blind.
"Damn…" Kaen said before the door to the interrogation room opened up.
"We heard shots fired. Is everyone alright?" Tsukauchi questioned, his gun out of the holster, and pointed to the ground with the others following.
"Aside from this bitch going blind from acid, Kaen's needing to rinse his eyes out. He was blinded with poison." Mina stated.
"What kept you?" Kaen questioned.
"Kotaro kept us." Nana said. "He blocked the door, and used the chains he'd been restrained with, to keep us from making a move to help once we heard gunfire."
"Midnight was able to subdue him, with a dose of her Somnambulist, after we'd all taken in a deep breath to avoid breathing it in." All Might said.
"Kaen, we can postpone our plans for tonight until you're well enough to actually go." Mina said.
"No, you worked hard to get those tickets. An' the next one won't be for another year. We're going, and that's final. I wanna give Eri a night that ends happily after this whole fiasco. We'll go after I rinse my eyes out." Kaen stated.
"Where are you planning on going?" Gine questioned, kneeling down to do some medical treatments on Kaen's eyes.
"Mina's uncle got her three backstage passes for a concert tonight." Kaen said.
"We wanna take Eri, since she seems to have a bit of a liking to this genre of music." Mina added, as Kaen winced as Gine began doing her treatment. "The passes were last minute, but he managed to get them for us."
"If Kaen feels up to going, and I clear him, then I don't see why he can't go." Gine said.
"Just be careful you two." All Might said.
"What about Ms. Chisaki?" Tsukauchi asked.
"I've stripped her of her Quirk. She's harmless now." Athena said.
"As far as I can tell, there's no other damage done by the poison, so you're good to go. Just be careful. I'm still learning the ins and outs of this healing Quirk I have in my Xerox arsenal." Gine explained. "What time's the concert?"
"It's around six, we've got maybe two, three hours to get ready and get there?" Mina said.
"It's three thirty. Let's get a move on."
"Where are we going?" Eri asked, as Kaen picked her up.
"We're going somewhere fun." Mina smiled.
"You know how to contact me if you need my statement. We're out." Kaen smiled.
~A/N~
So, Athena just made a big mistake, and put a bigger target on Eri's back then she already had. Let's see what happens next.
Also, just a little heads up, I'm bringing back, Saiyan Heroes on the Grandline.
But I will be starting it off, in a different location, at a different time in the story line, closer to the Sabaody Archipelago Arch.
