UA's Saiyan Heroes

~A/N~

I couldn't figure out how to continue on from where I left off.

"An' with that, comes the rousing end of the second event of the U.A Sports Festival, at Team6 takes the victory against Team4." Present Mic called out. "An' so the following teams, are gonna be moving on, to the final round."

"Teams 1-5-3-8-6, will be moving on to the final round of the Sports Festival, the rousing climax of the battle royal we all know and love." Gine said.

"But until then, let's stop for a quick lunch break. I'm sure all our hungry competitors are hungry, and so are all of you our faithful audience." Present Mic said.

"Finally." Kaen sighed, taking to the air, and flying over the wall of the arena, before landing on the ground outside.

"Papa."

Kaen turned and smiled as Eri came running up to him, a big smile on her face, before she jumped into his arms, and he swung her around.

"There's my little kitten. You behaving for Aunty Athena while I'm participating in the Sports Festival?" Kaen asked, setting her on his arm.

"Mmhmm. An' Nana came to the Sports Festival as well." Eri smiled.

"She did?"

"I did." Nana said, as a Bento Box was held out in front of him from behind.

"Thanks Nana." Kaen smiled, turning around to face her, and taking the Bento.

But, the Bento Box, looked more like a tower of books wrapped in a blanket.

"So, that was an impressive show of power you displayed out there." Nana said.

"Thanks." Kaen smiled, before looking around. "Where's Athena?"

"She left to meet up with some of her friends from class for lunch, while leaving Eri with me." Nana explained as they went to an area with some picnic tables. "Where's Mina?"

"She's meeting up with her mom for lunch." Kaen said.

"Papa, you were amazing. You were like, pow, and then wham, and then blam." Eri said, punching the air with her fists.

"I was huh? Don't forget, I'm not the only one who was out there trying their hardest." Kaen smiled.

"Yeah, Mama was out there too." Eri smiled.

"Not just Mama." Kaen smiled. "All students from all classes, were trying their best, and some even made it to the second round. Even Aunty Izumi made it to the final event of the Sports Festival, without harming herself too bad."

"That's true. But everyone in the festival, only did their best, because of your encouraging words." Nana said.

"What do you mean?" Kaen asked.

"Humble, and a bit dense." Nana chuckled. "Your words at the beginning of the Sports Festival, gave them the encouragement they needed to push past their performance fears, and do their best. It's because of you, that everyone is pushing themselves past their limits."

"I didn't really think my words had that kind of effect on people." Kaen said, opening a can or soda.

"Someday, I wanna be a great fighter like you Papa." Eri smiled, before digging into her food.

"Thanks sweetie. I appreciate it." Kaen smiled.

"By the way Kaen, did you happen to take a look at the news?" Nana asked.

"No, what's up?" Kaen asked.

"Several police convoys were found in the river just outside of Tartarus Prison. They were in pretty rough shape, and the guards bodies were decomposed. Autopsies show, they've been dead for about two weeks…"

Kaen looked at Nana, and he could see the intense seriousness in her eyes of what this might mean.

"It was the convoy taking Chimera to Tartarus, wasn't it?" Kaen asked.

"Yes, it was." Nana said.

Kaen's response to the answer, was a crushing of his can with a small explosion, with the skin on the back of his hand, gaining some jagged edges as it hardened. This little trick didn't go unnoticed by Nana, as her gaze was directly on his hand, when she heard the explosion. She knew he hadn't copied Katsumi's Quirk with that Xerox band of his, so it had to have been a Ki blast.

"What's more… there was a strange energy used on the convoy and the guards, during Chimera's rescue. The police and other authorities, can't seem to make heads or tails of it, but your father recognized the readings on the charts that had been printed in the paper." Nana said.

"Are you saying it was a Saiyan who broke Chimera out of that convoy?" Kaen asked.

"It wasn't Celeron. Your mother pointed out that the readings were more towards the female gender, when she saw the charts." Nana said.

"So, another Saiyan survived the destruction of Planet Vegeta?" Kaen asked.

"Your guess is as good as mine. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact, that there's life on other worlds." Nana said.

"Fair enough." Kaen said.

"Papa look, it's Aunt Izumi." Eri said, pointing out that the green haired girl was coming towards them.

"Izumi, what's up?" Kaen asked. "You look like you've seen a ghost."

"There's something we need to talk about." Izumi said, sitting next to Nana. "It's about OFA."

"Eri, why don't you and I go and take a walk while Papa and Aunty Izumi talk about high school stuff?" Nana suggested.

"Okay."

"Take care sweetie, and behave for Nana." Kaen said, as they left.

Once they were gone, Kaen looked to Izumi, and he could see this was a bit awkward for her.

"What is it Izumi?" Kaen asked.

"Well… Todoroki might have asked me to meet with him after the second event of the Sports Festival ended, and he had questioned me something, rather awkward." Izumi said.

"Go on…"

"Well… He asked if I was All Might's secret, love child." Izumi stated.

"Seriously?"

"That's not the important part I needed to tell you." Izumi sighed. "I'm just gonna spit it out and say it. I might have let something slip about you, being part of All Might's family."

"Are you kidding me Izumi?" Kaen asked.

"Well… I was under a lot of pressure, and I can't remember exactly what I said, but they were somewhat along the lines of, I'm not All Might's secret love child, I'm not even part of his family, unlike Kaen and Athena. An' from there, he tried questioning me more, before he just walked off, saying he was gonna find you, and get some answers himself." Izumi stated. "Since he couldn't track Ki energy like you taught me to, I was able to find you first, so I thought I'd warn you."

"Oh, I can't believe this." Kaen groaned, opening another can of soda. "Go grab some food, try to avoid Todoroki on the way there if possible, we don't need him thinking we're conspiring behind his back. I've had a plan for this, in case it ever happened, though I was hoping never to use it. Just calm down and I'll tell you about how everything went down, after the Sports Festival."

"Right, I'm sorry that I started this whole mess." Izumi said, getting up and bowing to him in an apology.

"Get me a case of Dr. Pepper, and all is forgiven." Kaen tsked.

"Right." Izumi said, before running off to the cafeteria.

After Izumi left, Kaen was left sitting alone at the table, thinking of the words Nana had said, warning him that there might be another Saiyan on the planet. His thoughts were interrupted when Todoroki's shadow covered him, and he looked up to see the white and red haired young man, standing there.

"Yagi. We need to talk."

"Well, what's stopping you? Take a seat." Kaen said, sliding him a can of soda. "Have a drink."

"Thank you."

"Now, what exactly do you wanna talk about?" Kaen asked.

"I spoke with Midoriya earlier. She told me something very interesting."

"Oh really? Did she tell ya about my secret training area in the mountains?" Kaen smiled.

"She told me you and your sister, are part of All Might's family." Todoroki said.

"Ah, she said that did she?" Kaen asked. "To be honest…"

"First let me explain my reasoning for seeking out the truth." Todoroki stated.

Kaen just raised a brow, before he motioned for Todoroki to continue.

"As you know, my father, Endeavor, is the #2 Hero. But that's not good enough for him. He's obsessed with becoming #1 and surpassing All Might." Todoroki said. "No matter the cost."

'I get the feeling I might get triggered if I keep listening to what he has to say.' Kaen thought.

"Have you ever heard of Quirk Marriages?" Todoroki inquired.

"Yeah, they were marriage contracts, designed to combine the Quirks of two people, to ultimately form an even stronger Quirk, after Quirks were first accepted into society. Essentially they were just arranged marriages but paired up for the utilization of both party's Quirks. After fifty or so years of this however, around the same time polyamorous relationships became legal again, Quirk Marriages, became outlawed and anyone who was caught in the act of initiating a Quirk Marriage, would not only get fined, but also six months, to a year in jail, until the law brought it back, and it was acceptable for the families who filled out the proper application for it, so long as both party's were consenting to the marriage." Kaen stated.

"My siblings and I, are all the product of a Quirk Marriage." Todoroki said, looking Kaen dead in the eye.

There was a tense moment of silence, before Kaen drank from his soda, letting out a satisfied sigh.

"I know." Kaen said.

~Colosseum Stairwell~

"Yo, long time no see, let's catch up Endeavor." All Might said, calling to the #2 Pro Hero.

"All Might." Endeavor turned from his position on the steps, to look at the Symbol of Peace, with his signature glare.

"I haven't talked to you since that press conference ten years ago. Been a while, I saw you and figured I'd say hi." All Might said.

"Did you now? Well then if that's all you wanted to do, we're done." Endeavor said. "Chatting like we're old friends, what a joke."

"Ahahahahahaha." All Might laughed, literally flipping down the stairs, and landing perfectly in front of Endeavor. "C'mon why the cold shoulder?" All Might questioned. "Anyways, enough about me. You should be thrilled, after all, your son's doing very well out there, just using half his power. You must be a great teacher."

"Are you implying something?" Endeavor asked.

"No. I want to know your secrets. How do we train the next generation of heroes?" All Might questioned.

"Do you really think I'd tell you anything I've taught the boy?" Endeavor questioned, shouldering past him. "You're all flash, and no brains as usual. Out of my way."

"Okay." All Might said, clasping his hands together. "Take care of yourself Endeavor."

"Let me assure you of one thing All Might." Endeavor said. "Whatever it takes, that kid of mine, will beat you someday. I'll make sure of it, that's why I made him."

"You did what?" All Might questioned.

"He's in a rebellious phase right now, but he will take your place, I'll make sure of it." Endeavor stated.

"Hey dad, there you are. Listen I need some money for… oh… Sorry I didn't mean to interrupt a conversation you were having with Endeavor."

Endeavor looked over his shoulders, up the stairs to see Athena standing next to All Might, at the platform of the stairwell, with one hand on her pregnancy bump.

"Dad?" Endeavor questioned. "All Might, you have children?"

~Todoroki and Kaen~

"What do you mean, you already know?" Todoroki questioned, after breaking free of his stupor from what Kaen said about already knowing this secret.

"My sister volunteers at the hospital your mom is being held at, once a week. An' she's always assigned to spend time with Rei Todoroki, your mom." Kaen explained. "So she and I already know about the Quirk Marriage, and how Endeavor bought off your grandparents."

"That's not everything." Todoroki said.

"Well, if that's not everything, please continue." Kaen said.

"My old man is ambitious, he aims for the top." Todoroki said. "He used his power to make a name for himself as a hero. But he was never able to best All Might, so the Symbol of Peace is living proof of his failure. He's still at it though, trying to take down All Might, one way or another."

"Which is where the Quirk Marriage comes in, right?"

"Correct." Todoroki said. "In every memory of my mother, I only see her crying. I remember she called my left side, unbearable, right before she poured boiling water, over my face, and scared my eye. I don't blame her for it though. It wasn't her fault. She was driven to madness by my bastard of a father."

"She regrets it you know. She hates herself for what she did, she has every day for the last ten years since it happened." Kaen said, looking directly at Todoroki. "As I said, Athena visits your mom in the hospital, at least once a week everyday she volunteers there. I have for the last six years, ever since my brother kidnapped us both, when we were children. I understand now, what drove her to breaking. She never told me how it happened, she just told me about the incident that got her locked up in the hospital. When I first saw your left eye, and heard your last name, I knew you were her son. I just didn't want to say anything, in case I brought up some bad memories for you just from talking."

"Do you know if… if my mom is doing okay?"

"She's doing fine. She's actually sound of mind now, able to leave the hospital whenever she wants, at least according to what Athena's discerned from reading Rei's medical records." Kaen said. "Only problem is, she can't leave without Endeavor's say so."

"I see." Todoroki said. "The reason I picked a fight with you and Midoriya, was to show my old man, what I was capable of doing, without having to rely on his damned fire Quirk."

"So you swore to never use your left side, which produces flames, is that it?" Kaen inquired. "I'm sorry Todoroki, but that is the stupidest reason I've heard."

"What?" Todoroki questioned, starting to look a little angry at his words.

"Let me put it to you this way." Kaen began. "Let's say, there's a villain that you could easily take down, if you'd used both your fire and ice. You could easily save the day, if you'd only stop limiting yourself to your ice."

"No, I refuse to use my left side." Todoroki said.

"You think, a villain's gonna care about your daddy issues? You think the family members of the people you could have saved, if you'd only used your fire, are gonna accept that excuse when burying their loved ones, when their deaths could have been avoided if you'd only used your flames? No. This vow, you've made to never use your left side, is gonna do more harm than good, and the ones who are gonna pay the price for it, are the innocent civilians who will lose their lives, if you keep this senseless vow of yours going strong." Kaen exclaimed. "An' you know what people are gonna say about you? What they're gonna talk about when you fail to save innocent lives, just because you're keeping to this grudge? People are gonna say, you shouldn't be a hero at all, you shouldn't even be on the streets, because you're not 100% committed to the role your license allows you. They're gonna tell you to pack it up, and find a different career, because they won't be able to trust you, with their lives. They'd rather trust the villain to protect them, than someone who won't put aside his petty reasoning's for hating his father, to do his job properly. You want to be a hero Shoto Todoroki? Then prove you're better than your father, and show him that your power is your own, and he doesn't own you."

With his piece said, Kaen got to his feet, and just looked down at Todoroki, who looked at him, with anger in his eyes.

"Hold on, you haven't explained to me anything about your connection with…"

"You wanna know the truth Todoroki? Fine then. If you're able to beat me in the final event of the Sports Festival, the 1-vs-1 tournament, then you will have your answer. Prove to me, that you can win without relying on your flames, then I'll tell you everything." Kaen said, tying up his bento box, and heading off. "We're done here. Think on what I said, and maybe you'll understand, your power is your own."

~Final Event~

"Get those foam fingers in the air, it's time for the last round." Present Mic said. "But before that, good news for everyone who didn't make the finals. Since this is a sports festival, we've prepared some super fun side games everyone can participate in."

"We've even brought in cheerleaders from America to get your blood pumping." Gine smiled before she and Present Mic went slack jawed.

"Hold up." Present Mic gasped.

"What are they doing?" Gine questioned.

"Looks like Class 1-A is going full on fan service." Present Mic said as Kaminari gave a thumbs up of approval.

"What, you tricked us? You're gonna regret this." Mina shouted.

"Why is it that I always end up falling for that pervert's stupid schemes?" Momo asked as Kaminari was sent flying through the air by Mina as she hit him with a Ki blast. "I even used my Quirk to make these outfits."

"There-there." Uraraka said, patting her back to make her feel better.

"Ugh, I hate those guys." Jiro shouted, throwing her pompoms onto the ground, and crossing her arms over her bare stomach.

"Well we do have a little time before the finals start, and I kinda like these uniforms so… how about we just roll with it?" Toru asked, waving her pompoms around.

"You don't see me complaining." Yang smiled.

"Are you both crazy?" Jiro shouted.

"Wow Toru, you got skills." Tsu exclaimed.

"The only reason why you're fine with it is because you're not actually visible unless you're wearing clothes. Don't think I didn't notice how you were going commando up-top the entire cavalry battle." Yang stated. "You're a total exhibitionist. To be fair, I'm a bit of one myself."

"Have fun competing in the side games everyone." Present Mic's voice rang from the speakers. "After they're over, the sixteen students from the top four teams will be duking it out, in a tournament style fighting competition. I promise you're not gonna want to miss these epic match ups."

"So wait, is it always a tournament?" Mina questioned. "Seems like this year's Sports Festival has a bit of a running theme to it today."

"The final's always a one on one competition, but they switch it up every time. Last year it was a foam sword fighting match." Kaen explained.

"Come closer and draw lots to see who you're up against." Midnight exclaimed. "Then enjoy the pleasure of the recreational games before we start. The sixteen finalists have the option of participating in those activities, or sitting out to prepare for battle. I'm sure you all want to conserve your stamina."

"Does she even hear herself when she speaks?" Mina questioned.

"I'll start with the first place team." Midnight smiled, moving to step off the stage.

"Um, excuse me." Ojiro said holding up his hand. "Sorry, but I'm withdrawing."

"Ojiro, no you can't." Uraraka exclaimed.

"But this is a rare chance for you to get scouted." Tenya exclaimed.

"It just wouldn't be right. I barely remember anything from the team-vs-team battles until the very end of it." Ojiro stated.

"You were on Shinso's team right?" Kaen asked to which Ojiro nodded. "Makes sense then. His Quirk allows him to brainwash people just by having them answer a question."

"With that being said, I'd still like to withdraw from the competition." Ojiro exclaimed. "I know this is a great opportunity, and I wish I could take advantage of it, but my conscience won't let me."

"Alright, if you feel that's what's best, then we won't try to stop you." Midoriya sighed.

"Midoriya you can't be serious, he's throwing away a good chance to be scouted." Iida said in a bit of a panic. "Class Rep, do something."

"What do you want me to do? It's obvious that he's doing this, because he feels he hasn't earned it himself. He's made up his mind." Kaen said. "I'm not gonna abuse my power, just so he can have a chance at being scouted. I can't force him to change his mind. Otherwise I'd be no better than Shinso. It's clear Ojiro refuses to give up his pride. So let him keep his pride, it's what he deserves at least."

"Also, why are all the girls dressed like cheerleaders?" Ojiro questioned.

"Kaminari." Izumi said, with a blush on her face.

"Should have known." Ojiro sighed.

"Nirengeki Shoda, from Class 1-B. I think I should withdraw for the exact same reason. Regardless of how strong I am." A short, light blue haired boy said, stepping up to Midnight. "This isn't how I wanted to get here. It would go against the values of the festival to advance without earning my spot."

"Listen to these guys, they're so manly." Kirishima said, tears coming to his eyes.

"Well now, here's another weird turn of events." Present Mic exclaimed. "We'll have to see what Midnight has to say about all this."

The crowd of students were silent for the most part, as Midnight came to her final decision.

"This sort of talk is incredibly naïve my boys." Midnight exclaimed raising her tasseled whip. "That turns me on. Shoda, Ojiro, you're withdrawn."

"Did she say it turns her on?" The entire crowd of students questioned.

"Don't worry, I'll win it for you." Yang said, putting a hand on Ojiro's shoulder.

"Now let's see. We'll have to move a couple students from the other teams so we have enough contestants." Midnight stated. "Tetsutetsu and Yuga Aoyama, from team Monoma, you two shall take Ojiro and Shoda's places in the final event."

"An' so Tetsutetsu has advanced to the final, along with Yuga Aoyama, both Hero Course Class-B Students." Midnight said after all the students drew lots. "Take a look at the bracket my dears. These are you opponents." She declared, as the tournament brackets came up on the screen.

"Hmm, Tetsutetsu against Kirishima." Midoriya pondered.

"Seriously, how does this keep happening?" They said in unison.

"Yaoyorozu, against Tokoyami huh, who's fighting Shinso then?" Kaen questioned. "Huh, looks like it's me. Okay, now Ashido against Aoyama."

"Hey look, Kaen's fighting against that brainwashing dude." Kirishima pointed out. "If he wins, then he's fighting Todoroki next."

"Oh, not good." Izumi gasped.

"Todoroki and Bondo are the second match, I'd hate to be him in that fight." Uraraka chuckled nervously.

"Now let's see, which one is Tenya Iida?" Hatsume questioned looking around for her opponent in the first round.

"I'm right here." Iida said, moving his arm robotically.

'Alright, if I'm facing off with Todoroki in the second round, I'm gonna need to grab a snack after my match with Shinso. Speaking of which, I have to worry about him right now.' Kaen mentally contemplated

"That is you right?" Shinso asked pulling Kaen from his mental fortress of solitude, appearing behind him, which didn't startle him, as he sensed his presence there, from his Ki coming up behind him. "Kaen Yagi?"

'What is he doing there?' Kaen thought, turning around and taking a few steps back to face him.

"A pleasure, so you excited?" Shinso questioned.

Kaen didn't respond verbally, he just shrugged his shoulders with a smirk, before walking off to prepare.

"Clever. He already knows how my Quirk works. Could be trouble." Shinso said.

"Uraraka, who the hell is that?" Yang questioned, looking up at the board, genuinely confused at who that was.

Behind her, Uraraka was surprised that the blonde brawler didn't remember her, and shocked as she gave a quizzical look to who Ochako was, as she tried to put a face to the name, but was coming up with nothing.

"Okay, let's press pause for a momentary interlude." Present Mic exclaimed. "Before the battles begin, it's time for some pulse pounding side games."

"I'm out." Kaen said leaving for where their class would be sitting. "I'm gonna take a nap, wake me when my match is gonna start."

"Enjoy your nap." Mina smiled. "Shinso's in for a rude awakening. Kaen isn't one to go down without a fight. It's in his nature."

~Class-B Seating~

"That damned ape. Making a fool of me right at the start of the second event of the Sports Festival." Monoma growled, his hand crushing a can of carbonated water. Looking down at the field, Monoma saw Shinso and smirked, when an idea came to him on how he'd get payback for his defeat. 'Just you wait you monkey. I'm gonna prove to everyone, just how villainous you truly are.'

~After the Side Events~

"Hello, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome back to the broadcast of the U.A Sports Festival. Now that we're done with the recreational games, let's get back to the main attraction." Present Mic called out.

"That's it, I'm pretty much done here." Cementous said as he finished building the final fight arena.

"Thank you Cementous." Present Mic said over the speakers. "Hey sports fans, are you ready?" He questioned as the crowds went wild. "After all the action you've witnessed it's time for the real battles to begin. Can you feel the excitement? Our competitors are on their own now, sometimes heroes only have themselves to rely on. Heart, skill, strength, wisdom, courage, they'll have to use all these things to rise to the top."

Down in one of the tunnel's, Kaen was standing by the entrance, preparing himself by drinking a four pack of Fruit Punch Rockstar Energy Drinks, getting him pumped full of caffeine and adrenaline.

"Hey."

Kaen turned around, crushing the last can he had to see Toshinori, Nana, and Eri, coming up to him.

"Dad, Nana, Eri? What are you doing here?" Kaen asked as Eri ran into his arms.

"We came to wish you good luck, and not to worry about disappointing me or your mother." Toshinori said. "No matter if you win or lose, you're gonna be fine."

"Yeah, thanks." Kaen sighed, leaning against the wall.

"What's wrong Kaen? You look upset." Nana questioned.

"I'm just concerned. I'll be fighting Todoroki in the next round if I win this."

"An' speaking of the Todoroki family." Nana began, looking back at Toshinori, who was sweating bullets. "Your father may have something to say."

"What?"

"Well… Athena sorta came and unintentionally spilled the beans, in front of Endeavor, that I'm your dad." Toshinori said. "While I was in my All Might form."

"What happened?" Kaen asked, putting Eri down.

"Don't worry, I clarified to Endeavor that I'm not your biological father. I explained to him the situation. Your biological parents died in a villain attack I saved you and your aunt, your aunt took you in when you were babies, and I became part of the family by marrying her, making me your adoptive/step father. He seemed to buy it, but was a bit miffed about it, don't know why."

"I do." Kaen said. "Shoto Todoroki was born to surpass you, and that's all he knows. His father put him through a grueling hell for training, and after an incident that got him that scar, he swore to never use his flames again, only his ice. He's the by product of a Quirk Marriage, and he hates Endeavor for everything he's done."

"I can see you're angry about that, but I can also understand why you'd be nervous about the next round. But if you're scared, just deal with it by smiling." Toshinori stated, beefing up into All Might, and giving a big smile with a thumbs up. "You've made it this far, even if you're worried, you must stand tall."

"No matter how scared you are, you should smile to show that things will be okay." Nana said.

"In this world, the ones always smiling, are the ones who are the strongest." Kaen smiled. "Dad told me the exact same thing, after the battle against AFO and Celeron ended, and we were all in the hospital."

"That was the first time you broke your arm with your own power." All Might chuckled. "Now get out there, and show the crowd, why you are strong."

"Alright audience, let's get to the good stuff and not delay these finals any longer." Present Mic announced. "Welcome our first fighters."

On the monitor, two images appeared on the screen, one of Shinso, and one of Kaen, both of them standing with confidence, as the crowd cheered on in excitement, wanting for the fight to start already.

"Our first fighter is a student of Class 1-A, he's well known throughout campus for being one of the fiercest fighters, one bullies don't wanna get on the bad side of. You know him as the one who gave that heart moving speech at the beginning of the Festival. Kaen Yagi." Present Mic announced as Kaen came running onto the battle arena, ready for a fight.

"Go get him Kaen. That's my boy." Gine added.

"Mom, you're so embarrassing." Kaen grumbled with a blush as the crowd chuckled.

"His opponent is… Hitoshi Shinso from General Studies, who really hasn't done anything to standout yet." Present Mic announced. "The rules are simple. Immobilize your opponent, or force them out of the ring. You can also win by getting the other person to cry uncle, or by a KO. Bring on the injuries because we have our very own Recovery Girl, waiting on standby."

"Try not to get hurt too badly." Gine said. "I see enough of that at the hospital already as a Doctor."

"Put your morals and ethics aside folks, you can bend, break or play dirty, but of course, no life-threatening crowd folks, it's not allowed." Present Mic said. "Real Heroes use their power to throw people in jail, not kill them."

"I'll stop anyone who tries to get too rough." Cementous added creating a chair of cement.

Kaen took in a deep breath and exhaled as she cleared her mind.

"So you can just give up huh?" Shinso asked, gaining her attention. "In a way, this is a test of how strong your spirit is. If you know what you want your future to hold for you, then you can't worry about what other people think."

"Ready?" Present Mic announced.

"That monkey was going on about his pride earlier…"

"Begin."

"But I just think he's an idiot, for…"

"I'm gonna stop you right there Shinso." Kaen said. "I know about your Quirk, and it's not gonna work on me, so how about we go about this, with good old fashioned fist fighting and no powers?"

"What makes you so sure my Quirk won't work on you?" Shinso asked, squinting his eyes at him questioningly.

Kaen smiled, knowing that he was trying to use his Quirk with that question.

"Why don't you see for yourself?" He smiled, before he felt Shinso's Quirk take effect on him, causing Shinso to smirk, thinking he'd won.

"That's it I…" Shinso stopped, as a flaming milky white Aura burst around Kaen, and Shinso felt his hold on Kaen's mind, snap, as the young man let out a roaring battle cry.

"This, is why your Quirk doesn't work on me Shinso." Kaen stated, pulling back his arm with his shield extending to its full size, and threw it at the purple haired kid.

Spinning through the air like a frisbee, the shield impacted with Shinso's torso, and with the momentum still carrying him, he was flung out of the ring, and landed on the grass with a gentle thud.

"An' that's it, Hitoshi Shinso is out of bounds, making Kaen Yagi, the winner." Midnight called out.

"Damn it." Shinso grunted in pain. "I think he cracked a rib."

Kaen sighed, as he went to where Shinso landed, offering him a hand up, as his shield came back to his forearm.

"Sorry about that, I wanted to make the fight as fair as possible without using my powers, since your Quirk isn't really suited for combat. But hey, you tried and showed off your Quirk, I'm impressed you didn't just run off in terror once you saw me break your control." Kaen smiled.

"Heh, I guess you could say, I'm kinda used to the unexpected." Shinso said, accepting his helping hand. "That fighting prowess of yours is impressive, you really are something else."

"I've been training in martial arts since I was a kid. I didn't hurt you too badly, did I?" Kaen asked.

"Just my pride, and maybe a rib or two but I'll live." Shinso chuckled.

"You know, that Quirk of yours is something else. You could catch a lot of villains with it." Kaen stated. "Minimalize the amount of property damage, and casualties by a great deal. I just don't see why the school won't acclimate the hero course entrance exam's for those with non-physical Quirks like yours. You'd make for a great hero one day."

"You are literally the first person to say something like that about me, or my Quirk." Shinso said. "Thanks."

After the ending ceremony of the fight, Shinso and Kaen went back to their respective tunnels. With Shinso walking back to his seat, he had to pass by Class-B's, and unsurprisingly, he saw Monoma standing there, waiting for him.

"Oh, too bad. You didn't win the fight Shinso. I thought that monkey would have been easier to beat then that, and the fight didn't even last a minute." Monoma said, tapping his arm with the back of his hand. "Then again, you can't really win at a hero school, with a villainous Quirk. So why bother with trying to get into the hero course, when you're clearly suited for villainy? Just like that monkey who just beat you!"

"You know what Monoma. Burn in hell." Shinso said, turning to glare at the blonde. "Yagi isn't anything like his brother. He's honest, cares about people, and trustworthy. He might be prideful, but he's not arrogant. Which is something I can't say, for someone like you." He stated, before he began walking off.

"Whatever. No one cares about what a villain has to say." Monoma stated.

Unbeknownst to Shinso though, Monoma had another motive, when he tapped his arm, and went to intercept Kaen, as he was coming back from a vending machine, with a soda in hand.

"Hey you Stupid Monkey." Monoma said.

"What do you wan…" Kaen stopped, as he felt the familiar sensation of Shinso's Quirk taking effect. 'What? How? Shinso isn't around and this is his Quirk, how did… Monoma… his Quirk must be similar to Athena's Xerox. MINA!'

"Oh, too bad. Now here's what's gonna happen." Monoma smirked. "You're gonna show the entire U.A Sports Festival just how villainous you really are, by attacking the teacher's booth first. After that, it's onto the…"

Monoma was stopped when Kaen's aura flared up again, and he broke the blonde's control over him.

"So that was your plan? Use Shinso's Quirk to brainwash me, and make me the villain just to satisfy your own self righteous ego?" Kaen growled, the air around him becoming dense, as anything on the ground, began to defy gravity.

"You stupid monkey, you shouldn't have been able to break free of my control. I mean I can understand how you broke free of Shinso so easily, he's a weakling villain, who's delusional about becoming a hero. But I'm strong, and worthy of becoming a hero." Monoma said.

Kaen just glared at Monoma and a smirk came onto his face.

"You know, I've got a provisional license. It allows me to fight, so long as the villain uses their Quirk on me, first. An' guess what?" He glared, forming a Ki ball in his hand. "You attacked me, using Shinso's Quirk, which means you used your Quirk first."

Kaen swung his arm at Monoma and slammed the Ki blast into his chest, sending the blonde boy forward, before the Ki released, and set off an explosion. Monoma was sent flying back and hit the pillar separating Classes A and B, drawing their attention, just as Mina, Iida, and Kirishima came out after Mina got a bad feeling that something was wrong. They looked at Monoma then to Kaen, who seemed pissed off.

"Go get a teacher." Kaen growled, turning to Iida.

"Right." Iida said, before running off.

"Kaen, are you okay?" Mina asked.

After Iida managed to reach the faculty seats, Nezu had sent Snipe to the announcer's booth, to tell Gine what had happened, and for Mic to do what came with protocol.

"Ladies and Gentlemen I apologize for the delay, but the fights are temporarily on hold, due to an incident happening between two students outside the ring, involving illegal Quirk usage." Mic said.

Once the announcement was made, Nezu and a couple of the teachers, involving Hound Dog and Ectoplasm, followed Iida to the seats for classes A-B, and found Mina putting a cloth on Kaen's forehead, as he was breathing heavily, and sweating bullets, while Kirishima had Monoma restrained, the blonde's arms tied up by his own tracksuit jacket.

"What happened?" Nezu questioned.

"Monoma used his Quirk to copy Shinso's and tried to brainwash Kaen into attacking the Sports Festival, to show how villainous he can be, while proving himself right about Kaen." Mina explained.

"What's going on with Yagi?" Hound Dog questioned. "He smells off."

"I don't know." Mina said. "After Iida left, he broke out in a cold sweat, and nearly passed out. I managed to catch him, but nothing I do seems to be working."

"Call Recovery Girl, let her know she has a patient coming in right away." Nezu said, turning to Ectoplasm.

"Right." The math teacher said, before he sent a duplicate of himself ahead to Recovery Girl.

"I'll take him." Hound Dog said.

"Hehehe…" Monoma chuckled, from where he was restrained.

"What's so funny creep?" Kirishima questioned.

"I felt it." Monoma smirked. "When that monkey broke free of my control, I could feel something deep within him break free. I felt a primal energy awaken, and it will prove, that I was right. That he's nothing more then a villain. Just like his brother, Akuma."

*We apologize for that ladies and gentlemen. We'll be right back to the fights in just a minute.* Present Mic's voice came from the television.

"Papa, is everything gonna be alright?" A blonde girl in glasses questioned.

"I'm sure everything will be okay Melissa." David said.

*This just in folks, we've learned that the disturbance was caused by Neito Monoma, as he'd used his Quirk to copy Hitoshi Shinso's Quirk to try and vilify, Class-A Student Kaen Yagi, and make himself look like a hero, just to prove he was right about Yagi's sibling connection to Akuma.*

"Kaen was targeted?" Melissa gasped.

"I wonder how the big guy will handle this news?" David pondered, looking to the back of the house, at one particular door.

In the backroom, sat the skeletal figure of Asura, the flames in his empty sockets, glued to the television, as the images of Kaen and Monoma were brought up.

*It is unclear on what happened exactly, but until we find out, and until we learn Yagi is able to participate in the second round, please continue to enjoy the Sports Festival, and enjoy your ex…*

"Young Master." Asura said, as he paused the footage, and stared at Kaen's photo. "It has been three years since these eyes last laid upon you. How I wish you well. But this humble vassal worries over what has happened. I know you are strong, and honorable, so I know you'll pull through this. Yet I cannot help but fear, something far worse is coming over the horizon."
