UA's Saiyan Heroes
"There you are Kaen." Izumi said, Eri sitting next to her and Jiro.
"That was a quick match." Jiro smiled. "You took Rose down easily."
"I learned from watching the previous fights she was in." Kaen said, looking over the railing at the fight happening below.
"Who do you think's gonna win this fight?" Jiro asked.
"I hope Mama wins." Eri cheered.
"It's hard to say. Mina's skills in martial arts have improved since we started taking lessons from her mother, but Yang has something Mina doesn't." Kaen said.
"An' that would be?"
"Experience."
Down in the arena, Mina jumped to the side, evading Yang's flaming fist as the blonde wasn't giving her an inch of space.
"Damn, you're skilled. I didn't expect this kind of effort from you." Yang smirked, swinging her arm at Mina.
"Well, my mom is a martial artist. So I've been taking lessons from her the last few weeks, to strengthen my skills." The pink girl said, grabbing Yang's arm, and slamming her knee into the blonde's elbow.
"But that's not gonna be enough to beat me." Yang smirked, as Mina lowered her knee and grabbed it with a hiss.
"What the hell?" Mina questioned, looking up at Yang, before seeing the blonde's abs revert from smooth stone. "You can harden yourself like Kirishima?"
"It's a bit more complicated then that." Yang said. "I'll give you the details when we're not in a fight."
Spinning around, Yang intended to hit Mina in the head with a 3600 Spin Kick, but the impact was stopped, as Mina's hand shot up and caught her leg, the force of the impact creating a shockwave that shot past Mina.
'What Xiao Long doesn't know is, Mina's no slacker.' Kaen thought. 'It might only be for a little bit, but she is able to keep up with me in a sparring match, even if it's not at my best.'
Mina pushed Yang's leg away, forcing the blonde girl to fly back and twist through the air, in the opposite direction, landing in bounds on the other side of the arena.
"You have no idea, the beast you've just awakened." Mina smirked, getting back to her feet, as Yang picked herself up.
'But the power I fight with to give Mina a fighting chance, far surpasses Xiao Long's.'
"Oh, now this is getting interesting." Yang smiled, slamming her fists together, and activating her Ember Celica. "Bring it on sister."
Mina and Yang smile at each other, before they rush at one another, Yang launching herself forward with the recoil of Ember Celica, and Mina with her body enforced by her Ki. As the two collide, Mina fakes to the right, before hitting Yang in the side with an elbow strike, carried from the momentum of her fake out.
"Gah." Yang cries out as she's thrown to the side.
Planting her feet and hands in the ground, Yang stops her momentum to the edge of the arena, and sends herself flying at Mina once more.
Firing a shot on the ground, seconds before Mina could react, Yang flipped over the pink girl using more recoil send herself through the air, and get behind her. Right as the blonde student lands on the ground, she hits Mina with a ball of fire, sending her rolling forward, before Mina quickly picks herself back up and brushes off her shoulders.
"Big mistake to keep your back turned to me." Yang grinned, thinking she still had the upper hand while Mina was dusting herself off.
Before Yang could even land an attack though, Mina twisted around, instantly at the blonde fighters side, and with an axe kick, slammed her heel into her stomach, stopping Yang's attack and causing her to bounce off the ground, while spitting up her lunch, and a small amount of blood.
Before Mina could slam her foot down on Yang again, the blonde brawler used Ember Celica to send herself flying away from the pink haired warrior, and flipped back onto her feet, taking a fighters stance, wincing in pain as she could feel a few of her ribs had to be cracked.
"Damn, you've been holding back on me." Yang chuckled, spitting up some blood.
"I have to, otherwise you might not survive this fight." Mina said, appearing in Yang's face.
Before the blonde brawler could react, Mina's fist met with her face, and sent Yang flying out of the arena, slamming into the wall, before falling to the ground, her eyes rolled in the back of her head.
"An' that ends it." Kaen chuckled.
"Yang Xiao Long is out of bounds, Mina Ashido is moving on to the finals." Midnight declared.
"Uh, I think we might need a stretcher over here." Mina called out.
"The medical bots have been repaired. So she'll be fine." Midnight said.
"Alright you sports fans, it's time to finish off the Sports Festival, with a bang." Present Mic announced. "Let's introduce our finalists. In one corner, we have Mina Ashido." He introduced, the pink haired girl still in the ring. "In the other corner, we have the King Kong of power himself, Kaen Yagi."
"Stop using primate related puns to introduce me, it's insulting." Kaen called out, as he landed in the arena, leaping from the student stands.
"Sorry." Mic said, knowing it looked bad for a teacher to openly insult a student.
Up on the roof, keeping her Ki repressed to avoid detection, Fasha smiled as she looked down at the arena. The Saiyan kid was proving to be a strong fighter. That justified her reasoning for lying to her team about half-breed Saiyans, but she was still taking a risk by doing that. Grabbing one of her freshly 'purchased' beers, Fasha was anticipating what this next match held. Her scouter told her that Mina's power was low, but experience told her that she was probably just hiding it.
"Fighters, at the ready." Midnight called out.
"Let's not go crazy Mina." Kaen suggested.
"Smart thinking." Mina smiled.
"Begin."
The moment Midnight called for the fight to begin, Fasha nearly choked on her beer as she saw both Kaen and Mina, become enveloped in a milky white aura. That's when she noticed it.
"That pink girl has a tail, just like a Saiyan. She couldn't be one though, could she?" She questioned.
With their auras dispersing, Kaen and Mina charged at each other, Kaen ducking under Mina's roundhouse kick, before he grabbed her leg, and threw her to the ground. Before she could make impact, Mina kicked Kaen's wrist, and flew into the air, with Kaen closely following, as they continued to fight one another.
Throwing fists, Mina and Kaen continued to clash before the Ki in Mina's hands changed from blue to pink.
"Acid Bomb." Mina called out, firing the Ki blast at him.
"Whoa." Kaen gasped, using his shield to block the blast, before it burst like liquid. "What the hell?"
"Neat right babe?" Mina questioned, as they landed back on the ground. "I mixed my Ki with my acid."
"That's some strong stuff." Kaen said, looking at his shield as the acid dripped down it. "It ate right through the paint of my shield."
"I'd have thought it'd eat through the shield." Mina grumped.
"Indestructible, remember?" Kaen asked.
"Oh right." Mina said, before ducking down as to avoid Kaen's shield, which he threw at her. "Hey, watch it."
"Oh please, the acid wouldn't have done anything to you." Kaen smirked, his shield returning to him.
Mina just glared at Kaen, before she smirked and ran at him.
"A head on approach huh? Not a bad strategy. But you need more then just a running start to win a head on fight." Kaen smirked.
Swinging his arm, Kaen's eyes widened when Mina jumped over him, and grabbed his arms, before pulling them both into a lock behind his back.
"Really? This is your strategy? See who gives first?" Kaen asked.
"No. This is my strategy." Mina smiled, before whispering something into Kaen's ear.
There was silence in the arena, as everyone looked on in anticipation, but from the look Kaen gave in response to Mina's words, Midnight smirked as the victor was decided.
"Heave-Ho." Mina chanted throwing Kaen through the air by his arms, and planting his head in the ground through the concrete. "Kaen, you okay babe?" Mina asked, poking his twitching foot. "Uh, Ms. Midnight, Kaen's unconscious."
"Kaen Yagi is unable to battle. Mina Ashido is the winner of the U.A Sports Festival." Midnight declared.
The crowd was confused about the fight, but cheered that a victor had been chosen.
"Mina, that was a dirty trick. Making me let down my guard like that with a fake promise." Kaen said, suddenly regaining consciousness and pulling his head out of the ground.
"That promise wasn't fake babe." Mina smiled, silencing him with a finger on his lips, and a seductive look in her eyes. "I intend to keep it. So be ready for a whole day of fun tomorrow." She winked.
Kaen's cheeks went red as Mina lead him off the stage, directing him like a lost puppy, as Cementous used his power to change the stage.
After the Awards Ceremony, in which Mina got gold, he got silver, and Yang got bronze, Kaen went back to the first student prep room, and found the case with his hero suit inside, sitting on the table, waiting for him.
"That's right. There's still one event left to go." He said, grabbing the case and opening it. "It's about time we dish out a suitable punishment."
~Elsewhere~
"Please, we are begging you. Reconsider this punishment." A woman with golden blonde hair, and sapphire eyes pleaded as she and her husband were in a meeting with the Principal and Gine, along with Hound Dog, All Might, and Aizawa, in the teacher's lounge.
"I am sorry Mr. and Mrs. Monoma, but the verdict has been decided. Your son tried to use his Quirk on another student, and wrongfully paint him the bad guy. I left the decision of his punishment up to his victim, and this was the outcome of his choice." Nezu said.
"So what, you just expect us to sign this agreement, saying we promise not to sue should any permanent damage or harm comes to our son? I don't think so." Mr. Monoma said, slamming the paper down on the coffee table.
"If you do not sign this agreement, then the heroes you see before you, will have no choice but to take you in and have the police arrest you, as accomplices to your sons crimes." Nezu explained.
"Honey, we should just sign, and avoid anymore trouble." Mrs. Monoma said.
"No." Mr. Monoma said. "Our son, wouldn't do anything like the crimes you're accusing him of, without a good reason. He's a good boy, and he's far better then any and all of the other Hero Course students you have at this school."
'Now I see where Monoma got such a big head from.' Aizawa thought.
"With all due respect, your son tried to force mine into becoming a villain." Gine said.
"Then he was probably just trying to expose the truth about your son. He looks like a brute, he acts like a juvenile, and he probably shakes down other students for lunch money. If you ask me, the Principal made a mistake by letting a bastard like your son, into a school for heroes, when he's clearly a villain." Mr. Monoma said.
"I'd watch your tone if I were you, Mr. Monoma." Nezu said, a dark aura surrounding him "I take pride in my students, whether they're in the Hero Course, or General Studies. So tread lightly with what you say next, because if I wished it, I could have you arrested right here, and now."
"Screw you." Mr. Monoma said. "I will not sign this damned contract, and I will not allow for my son, to be villainized for doing nothing wrong."
"Your wife has already signed the paper sir." Gine said. "If you don't she'll be the only one out of the two of you, who won't be prosecuted and charged with aiding and supporting your sons villainous actions."
"What?" Mr. Monoma questioned, looking at his wife angrily.
"I had to. Neito needs at least one of us to support him at home and not behind… GAH." Mrs. Monoma cried out, as her husband punched her in the face.
"You stupid, worthless…"
Before Mr. Monoma could finish his insult, or kick her as he wound his leg to strike her, his head was slammed into Principal Nezu's desk, breaking his nose and sending him to the ground, grabbing it and crying out in pain.
"You fucking whore. You broke my nose." Mr. Monoma shouted, looking up at Gine, who looked more then pissed.
"Let's give her some space everyone." All Might said, leading the others out, including Ms. Monoma. "From personal experience, you do not want to see what she does to an abusive man like him. It is not a pretty sight."
"Can she even do that, legally?" Ms. Monoma asked.
"So long as she doesn't use her Quirk, yes." Nezu said, as the door closed behind them. "An' Ki Control, is not a part of her Quirk, it's just part of her repertoire as a highly skilled martial artist."
"I'll send in some paramedics in about an hour." Hound Dog said.
"Just put them on standby." All Might said. "When Gine gets like this, there's no telling when she's gonna calm down."
~Afterwards~
"I wonder what's taking so long for this exhibition match to start? First I'm hearing of it, but it sounds interesting." Fasha said looking up at the sky, before music began to play.
"Ladies and Gentlemen." Present Mic began. "Are you ready, for the final, exhibition match of the afternoon?"
The crowd cheered, hoping to see some more action, as they were promised.
"Here's how this exhibition match will go." Mic began. "Our little law breaker, Neito Monoma, will be in a gladiatorial like battle, against the one he tried to wrong. If Monoma is somehow able to win, by some miracle from above, he will remain in U.A's Hero Course, and no charges will be pressed against him for what happened."
"What? That's bullshit." Fasha cursed. "Boo."
"However, if he loses, and he will, Monoma will be expelled from the Hero Course, and will switch places with Hitoshi Shinso from General Studies. Ergo, Shinso will be transferred into the Hero Course, while Monoma will be in General Studies. But Monoma will be on strict probation, and will never be allowed within the Hero Course, ever again. The rules are simple, barring death, anything goes." Mic continued. "So long as neither of them kill each other, anything in the fight is fair game. This exhibition match, is also Neito Monoma's punishment, chosen by the very person he tried to vilify, with Hitoshi Shinso's very Quirk, as he didn't want to cause anymore grief for Monoma's family, then there already was by getting the police involved. But he will be spending some time in a juvenile detention center."
"So Kaen chose the punishment huh? He's just as soft hearted as his mom." Fasha chuckled drinking some beer. "Still, it should be a great match to watch."
"An' now, without further adieu, let's bring in the fighters, and watch the blood bath." Mic announced. "An' to go a bit old school, we'll be using a gong to start and stop the fight."
The crowd roared as the tunnels leading into the interior of the arena, opened up again, allowing for both Kaen, and Monoma to leave their tunnels, and come out the other end, while shelves of weapons opened up on Monoma's end.
"To even things out a bit, Monoma can choose up to any of three weapons to use against Yagi." Mic finished, as Monoma and Kaen both stepped into the arena, wearing their hero costumes. "An' to make it more interesting, we've allowed for them to wear their hero costumes during this battle."
"Interesting." Monoma smirked, looking at the racks of weapons. "So long as I don't kill the scum I can use any three of these. Oh he is so going down, for making me, look like the villain instead of him."
"Quit your yapping, and grab your weapons already." Kaen said.
"Patience. Justice will be dished out to you, in due time." Monoma said.
"Screw this." Kaen growled, firing a Ki blast at the gong Midnight was gonna use to signal the start of the match, and making it ring.
The moment the gong rang, Kaen lunged at Monoma, just as the blonde turned around, before he was forced to bring up his arms and block his shield, before he was sent flying.
"Cheap shot. But what can you expect from a villain?" Monoma questioned.
"Kaen Yagi."
Kaen looked over to see Midnight looking right at him.
"You usually keep your composure, because you want to live up to a certain example of being like All Might. But now's the time to let that facade drop." Midnight said. "Just be sure, you don't kill him."
Kaen looked at Midnight, her words resonating with him, before he looked back to Monoma as he ran at him. Letting out a deep breath just as Monoma came at him with a Morning Star, Kaen took the hit, his head forced to the side, with Monoma smirking, before his smirk, turned into a look of terror.
Reaching his hand up, Kaen grabbed the chain of the Morning Star, and threw it to the side, before slamming his knee into Monoma's stomach. The instant Monoma's feet left the ground, Kaen slammed his shield into the blonde's sternum, and into the ground, burying him into the concrete, before his fists and arms became a blur of barrages with green electricity coursing around him.
The impacts were so heavy and fast, they were creating shockwaves, and making it look like he had more then two arms. The moment the gong rang again, Kaen's fist stopped just inches above Monoma's face, and he was breathing heavily, while Monoma was twitching in pain and breathing in short gasps.
"An' that's it folks, Kaen Yagi is the winner." Mic announced, the crowd cheering in a roar of approval.
Up on the roof, Fasha looked at Kaen as he stood tall, raising his arm in victory as his shield collapsed into its standby mode.
"That primal rage." She said. "There's no way a Half-Breed Saiyan could produce that kind of power. Bardock has to be here."
~Sunset~
"Nice work everyone." Gine smiled with a thumbs up, the knuckles on both her hands wrapped in bandages, with some blood seeping through.
"Mom, are you okay? Your knuckles are bleeding." Kaen asked.
"I'm fine don't worry about me sweetie." Gine said. "Now, every one here has the next two days of school off to recuperate and lick your wounds. I'm sure the Pros who watched the festival will want to recruit quite a few of you. The school will look over the draft forms, and update you when you return. Get some rest everyone, you still have training to do. Class dismissed."
"Boy today was a long day." Kaen sighed, slinging his bag over his shoulder.
Heading out into the hall, Kaen wanted to get to his locker and head home for some rest, but was stopped when Midnight got in his path.
"Mr. Yagi, good afternoon."
"Good afternoon Midnight Sensei." Kaen said. "Is there something I can help you with?"
"Not really." Midnight said, walking past him. "But you might wanna take these for your little, party, with Ms. Ashido." She smiled, putting something in his hand.
Kaen didn't have to look down as he could tell from the shape of what he was feeling, that it was something, only she would give to a student for her brand of, fun. An' he could tell, there was more then one.
"W-will do." Kaen said, blushing heavily as he quickly pocketed the items to avoid them being seen by anyone. "I've got to go."
~Fasha~
"Not good. If Chimera's already hooked up the new television and watched that fight, he might find something's up." Fasha said, heading into the hideout, before relaxing when she saw Chimera was still trying to set it up.
"Damn it, why is setting up a television so hard?" Chimera questioned. "I set up everything as it should be, but it still won't turn on."
"Where'd you steal this hunk of junk from?"
"I'll have you know, this is the hottest, and latest model television model on the market. An' it was easy to steal, because the dumbasses who were unloading the truck, left it unguarded. All it took was destroying the security cameras in the area and I got away without anyone knowing it was me." Chimera said. "Where've you been this entire time? It doesn't take so long to get cigarettes and beer."
"Since you broke the television, I went to watch the Sports Festival, in person. An' since no one knows my face, unlike you and the rest of the team, it was easy to do." Fasha stated.
"An' why would you go there, and risk being followed?" Chimera asked.
"I have to keep myself entertained somehow on this boring rock called a planet." Fasha said, sitting on the couch, lighting a cigarette. "Starting tomorrow, I'll be out for a few days. Maybe longer."
"Care to explain why?"
"I wanna get some intel from the Saiyan woman who teaches Class-A in U.A's Hero Course." Fasha stated, taking a pull of her cigarette. "If she's a survivor like me, I need to know how she survived, and what actually happened to Planet Vegeta. To do that, I can't have contact with you all for a while."
"It sounds like you might know something about this Saiyan woman that you're keeping secret." Chimera said pressing buttons on the remote, but the TV wouldn't turn on.
"I couldn't tell from where I was spying on her, but she looks like someone I knew in my childhood." Fasha said. "If it is her, then my curiosity is satisfied."
"Fair enough. Just let Nine know about your plans before you leave, otherwise he's gonna think something's up with you." Chimera said.
"We don't want him thinking I've betrayed the group, that's not an option." Fasha sighed, putting out her smoke in the ashtray. "Oh and genius."
"What?"
"You gotta plug the TV in, before you can turn it on." Fasha smirked.
Chimera looked to the outlet, and he blushed in frustration and annoyance, when he saw that the cable wasn't plugged in.
~A/N~
You're all probably gonna hate me. But I'm skipping the finals, and heading straight for the ova love story training episode.
An' if anyone doesn't like Monoma's beat down, tough. My story, my writing.
