"Dragon/Spell"

Chapter 5. Treasure

(Konoha)

Watching as the last of the shinobi tasked with capturing her son vanished into the portal she created. Selene merely closed the door into the Earthland dimension and stood to her feet. Allowing the only other person within the room being Kakashi to merely observe the woman as she began to stretch her arms over her head.

"So now all we can do is wait." Kakashi spoke up, as he wanted to avoid the silence in the air. "It shouldn't take long for my shinobi to find Naruto."

"Hmmm I wouldn't bolster such confidence, little Kakashi." The Moon Dragon replied as a low chuckle escaped her lips. "My home dimension is fairly large and your shinobi have no knowledge of their environment. Then adding how powerful and resourceful my son is only makes their mission harder."

"Do you think they will fail?" Kakashi asked with slight worry behind his voice, which made Selene shrug her shoulders.

"They could, but I don't expect immediate results from them. It will take time for them to locate and capture my son, which is perfect for my new plans."

"Plans?" Kakashi mumbled softly as he didn't like the woman's tone.

A vile grin gracing her lips, Selene opened another portal by her side. "I think it's time I make this dimension my home once more." The woman replied darkly as she walked near the portal. "I'll bring my followers into this dimension and start the first steps of returning to the Elemental Dimension."

"Your first steps?"

Her eyes glowing at the man's question, Selene let a light laugh out. "I'm going to kill every Daimyo and make myself the de facto ruler of these lands. So be prepared little Kakashi, because you and your village will be serving me very soon."

(With Naruto)

Having just been told the truth of Erza's past, Naruto was currently walking out of the casino with a single purpose: to kill the people responsible for Erza's suffering. So finding himself on the sandy beachfront of the resort. His eyes focused on the dark blue waves that were slightly illuminated by the full moon overhead. His dragon magic leaking out of his body as he walked closer and closer to the shoreline. Already knowing from Erza's old friends exactly where this so-called Tower of Heaven was.

"Naruto!" The voice of Erza screamed out, as the girl was desperately running after the blond from behind. "Where are you going?"

Stopping in his tracks and looking over his shoulder, Naruto couldn't hide the anger that was covering his face. "I'm going to go kill that bastard!"

"Please let's just put this behind us and go back to the guild. We don't have to worry about Jellal or that tower."

Walking up to Erza and towering over her, Naruto merely placed his hand onto her head and brought her into his chest. "And let that man and your past continue to haunt you? I'm going to destroy that tower and show that bastard Jellal the wrath of a dragon."

"I don't want you or anyone else to get hurt." Erza mumbled softly as she wrapped her arms around Naruto's waist. "That tower took so much from me and I won't let you or anyone else be taken by it. So let's turn back and make sure everyone is okay. We can even save Sho and everyone from going back as well."

"Erza I know you're afraid of something happening and after what you told me I can understand." Naruto began as he started to run his hand through her hair with a smile. "But I promise your past will never hurt you again."

"Naruto, listen I know you're strong, but going to that tower is what Jellal wants. It's a trap."

Laughing at the girl's concern, Naruto simply looked up into the sky. His eyes gazing at the stars and moon with a glow behind them. "Tonight is a full moon, I'd like to see that asshole fight me."

"Naruto, how do you even plan to get to the tower? It's way off the coast in the middle of the ocean and you don't have a ship!"

"I don't have any issues crossing the water without a ship." Naruto shot back in a calm voice.

"What does that even mean?" Erza asked as she didn't understand anything about Naruto's power or connection to the moon.

"Well it's a long explanation, but that can wait." Naruto replied as he caught wind of Lucy and Natsu's scent. Finding both wizards running directly at him and Erza. "What are you two doing out here!"

"We could ask you the same thing, jerk!" Natsu roared with vigor, which displayed he was over the sneak attack that temporarily left him out of commission.

"What Natsu means is we are here to check up on you guys." Lucy spoke up as she stopped by the two powerful wizards. "Gray is with Erza's old friends and for some reason Juvia from Phantom. They are both keeping an eye on Erza's old friends and I was telling Natsu what Erza told us about her past."

"And I want to know if you're going to go fight those bastards in that tower!" Natsu added in with fire behind his eyes.

Naruto crossed his arms and looked directly at Natsu. "I'm going to demolish that tower and everyone in it."

"Awesome!" Natsu yelled as he pumped his fist into the air. "Take me with you!"

"No." Naruto replied with no room for discussion. "You stay here and make sure everyone is safe. I'm counting on you and Gray to protect Lucy, Happy and Erza while I'm gone. I'm trusting you to keep our friends safe from any possible threats."

Annoyed by the blond's orders, Natsu wanted nothing more than to help the blond kick some ass. However, since Naruto was trusting him to protect their friends he wasn't going to argue back. "Alright fine, just kick some ass for me okay?"

"Oh trust me Natsu, I plan on it." Naruto mumbled before turning to Erza and holding his hand out. "I need my sword."

"I'm going with you." Erza declared as she crossed her arms and locked eyes with Naruto.

"No." Naruto argued back as he pointed a finger and narrowed his eyes. "You stay here where it's safe."

"I'm not some damsel that needs protection Naruto, I am an S-Class wizard." Erza pointed out firmly as she held her ground. "If you wish to run off to the tower, fine, but this is my battle and I'm coming as well."

Naruto's face slightly twitching in annoyance with Erza's stubbornness merely jerked his finger at Natsu. "How can I convince Natsu to stay behind so easily, but you're being this complicated."

"Because I'm not letting you go fight MY battles alone." Erza shot back, which made Natsu jump in.

"So if Erza is going can I come?"

"NO!" Naruto and Erza quickly shouted at the Dragon Slayer in unison. Giving him a matching death glare that made him and even the innocent bystander Lucy jump backwards in freight.

"Scary!" Lucy and Natsu shrieked together.

Naruto looking back at Erza sighed and held a hand to his side. "Look if you want to come I won't protest anymore, but just promise you'll let me handle things."

"We will face the tower together and that's that."

Groaning in frustration, Naruto clicked his teeth and stepped closer to Erza. "God, you're more stubborn than my Mother." Naruto complained as he suddenly scooped Erza off her feet and held her bridal style.

"What are you doing!" Erza mumbled softly as a blush covered her face.

"I'm taking you to the tower with me." Naruto replied as the top of his kimono fell to his hips and two wings suddenly burst out from his backside.

"You have wings!" Lucy yelled in shock.

"What the hell!" Natsu added.

"Oh yeah, I trust you guys with my secret, but I'll explain later." Naruto began before he suddenly shot up into the sky. Taking off over the ocean with a burst of speed that neither Lucy or Natsu could follow.

Erza, holding tightly onto Naruto, turned her head into the blond's chest to avoid the wind in her eyes. "Naruto what is going on? How do you have wings? Is this your magic?"

A soft depressing smile spreading across his face, Naruto held tightly onto Erza as he flew faster. "Not exactly, but it's connected to the truth about who I am and my past."

"What do you mean?"

"Well you trusted me enough to tell me about your past, so let me explain myself." Naruto replied as he looked down to lock eyes with Erza. "My Father was a human from a completely different dimension named Minato and died the day I was born. My Mother on the other hand was from this dimension and is a several hundred year old dragon named Selene."

Her mind going blank in shock, Erza would think Naruto was a liar if she didn't trust the blond to the degree she did. "Wait so that makes you."

"A half dragon." Naruto mumbled softly, but couldn't hide the small laugh from escaping his lips. "However, my Mother holds the title of Dragon God. So if you asked her I am half Dragon God, but she, like most dragons, is filled with arrogance."

Shaking her head in disbelief, Erza kept her eyes on Naruto. "You're half dragon."

Laughing at the girl's reaction, Naruto simply nodded. "Shocking isn't it? I'm surprised nobody figured it out sooner. I mean Natsu could smell the dragon in me the first moment we met."

"It does all make sense now that I think about it. However, if Natsu is a Fire Dragon Slayer. What kind of slaying magic do you use?"

"None silly." Naruto replied with a booming laugh. "Slaying magic is something dragons taught humans to mimic our power. No, I just like my Mom use genuine Moon Dragon magic!"

"That would explain all your connections to the moon."

"You're taking this whole me being a half dragon surprisingly well." Naruto pointed out as he noticed the girl in his arms smile.

"Well it's a surprise for sure, but it doesn't change my opinion of you. You're still a dear friend that I cherish."

"Thanks Erza, that means a lot." Naruto mumbled softly as he kept the girl held tightly in his arms.

"Think nothing of it, but I'm sure once Natsu learns you're half dragon he will have all sorts of questions for you."

"Well if he wants to ask if I have any idea where his adoptive father is, the answer is no. The only dragon I've been around is my Mom and she has only told me of a few dragons that she wanted me to stay away from."

"Still I'm sure there is plenty of knowledge about being a dragon you can share with him."

Naruto nodded. "I could definitely take him under my wing and show him a few things, but he wouldn't learn too much from me."

Curious at what Naruto meant, Erza lifted her brow at the blond's words. "What do you mean by that?"

"Our elements are completely different with his being fire and mine being a form of celestial magic. Also Natsu is a dragon slayer and not an actual dragon, so the power and potential of his magic is far different than mine. Essentially I could teach him some basic skills that all dragons have and know, but he could never fully learn my abilities."

"Could you teach him to harness Moon Dragon Magic? Maybe even be a Moon and Fire Dragon Slayer?"

"There has never been a Moon Dragon Slayer, as my Mom has only taught her magic to me and no one else. Also to learn a type of magic you must have a strong affinity for that magic and not many people have a strong enough affinity to learn a celestial magic as strong as Moon Dragon magic. So no, I wouldn't be able to teach Natsu my magic."

"Have you ever thought about finding someone to teach?" Erza asked, which caught Naruto off guard.

"No not really, I know my Mom told me before when dragons started teaching humans slaying magic she was very against the idea. She actually spoke many times of the first user of Dragon Slayer magic Irene Belserion." Naruto took a pause as he flapped his wings, while Erza felt a strange tightness in her chest. "My Mother has a very long list of people she hates, but at the top of the list are the two individuals she hates above all else. Those two are Irene and Acnologia, humans who learned magic from dragons and became a thorn in my Mother's side. So she was always very against teaching humans our magic, which is why I never thought of the idea."

"Oh I see, but I must say it's interesting learning this history of dragons. I've never heard of either of those two."

"Most people haven't. My Mom just has the advantage of being several hundred years old and was around when they were prominent. It's-. . ." Naruto suddenly trailed off as he felt Erza slightly grip her body around his. An action that made Naruto look forward and see a tower off in the distance. "Is that it?"

"Yeah." The Queen of Fairies mumbled softly as she felt a sense of dread sweeping over her body the moment she saw that all too familiar tower.

"I promise you'll watch that tower fall before the night is over." Naruto declared as he suddenly took a nose dive with a large burst of speed. "But before that I got a lot of ass to kick!"

Flying down to the tower, Naruto landed at the base of the tower and placed Erza onto the ground. Finding not a single person in sight, which didn't set well with Naruto. So as his wings disappeared Naruto slowly pulled his kimono back up to conceal his chest.

"I know the tower took a huge loss of dark wizards when I escaped, but I would still be careful. I'm sure Jellal has added more people into his ranks."

"Is that so? Well it doesn't matter how many there are, I've got plenty of frustration to let out." Naruto laughed in a casual voice as he started to walk towards the tower's main entrance.

"We need to approach with caution." Erza warned as she ran by Naruto's side. "There is no way to know what traps or plans Jellal has set forth."

Walking into the tower's main entrance, Naruto waved his hand around the air. "It will be fine, I can smell and hear better than anyone. So I already know there are dozens of people hiding and waiting to ambush us."

"What!" Erza shouted as she summoned a sword to her hand and took a defensive stance. Then by turning her head on a swivel she began to survey the area, but all Erza could see was a large dark circular room that merely ascended to the higher floors. In reality it was a massive area that could house thousands and made Erza nervous at what awaited them.

Naruto laughed and held out his palm. "Could you give me my sword back now?"

"Oh right, sorry!" Erza replied before summoning the wooden blade into Naruto's hand.

Firmly grasping the wooden sword, Naruto grinned ear to ear and started to push his Moon Dragon magic into the weapon. "Thanks Erza, but let's get started."

Glancing at the blond by her side, Erza could easily see that Naruto was ready for a fight. However, she still had no vision of any potential enemies. "So what's our plan?"

Chuckling and getting a dangerous gleam behind his eyes, Naruto slowly pulled his sword back. "Moon Breathing First Form: Dark Moon, Evening Palace!" The half dragon shouted before sending a massive crescent arc of his magic forward.

Erza watching the destructive spell fly upwards and slice through a walkway was shocked to find dozens of hiding dark wizards effortlessly dispatched by the single move.

"Get them!" A voice suddenly roared as hundreds of masked dark wizards began to swarm the duo from numerous hiding locations.

"Moon Breathing Fourth Form: Blooming Moonlit Flame!" Naruto called out as he ignited his sword in white fire and unleashed a twister of moon fire onto the dark wizards.

Erza, watching Naruto fight back, quickly snapped out of her daze and jumped into action. Using her magic to switch into her Heaven's Wheel Armor and fly above the battlefield. Then by holding a sword in each hand she summoned a cluster of swords overhead.

"Blumenblatt!" The Queen of Fairies yelled before descending down onto the dark wizards. Using the two blades in her hands to slice down her foes, while the flying swords flying overhead cascaded down like rain onto anyone out of her reach.

Watching Erza send down a bombardment of swords, Naruto quickly smirked as he dashed at the cluster of unused weapons.

"Moon Breathing Fifth Form: Infinite." Naruto mumbled before taking a sword off the ground and using it to strike a dark wizard. Releasing the weapon the moment he made contact and performing a flip before grabbing another sword and using it to pierce a wizard running at him. Then by once again letting the blade go Naruto merely used his agile speed and reflexes to maneuver throughout the battlefield and use every sword Erza had used in her attacks to string together an endless combo of sword strikes at his enemies.

Erza watching Naruto dispatch their foes with her discarded weapons merely smiled and summoned more blades to send in Naruto's direction for him to use. Then by swapping into her Black Wing Armor and going from dual to single swords, Erza took off with new found power and speed. Blitzing through the horde of dark wizards as she slashed her blade in a crossed pattern before yelling out. "Moon Flash!"

"Get her!" A dark wizard yelled from behind Erza, as he and a group tried to attack the girl from behind.

Naruto, hearing every sound and movement on the battlefield, spun around and thrusted his sword at the voice who had spoken. "Moon Breathing Sixth Form: Piercing Moonlight!" Naruto roared as he expelled a beam of Moon Dragon magic into the crowd of dark wizards from behind Erza. Effortless taking the entire group out with a single move.

"What are these monsters!" A dark wizard shrieked as Erza slashed her way through a crowd of enemies.

"How are we losing to only two of them!" Another dark wizard yelled in disbelief as an explosion created by Naruto rocked the area.

"That's Erza Scarlet from Fairy Tail, but I don't know the other guy!" A dark wizard screamed out as Naruto and Erza moved towards each other while sending dark wizards hurling left and right.

"Get them for master Jellal!" A dark wizard cried out before taking a slash to the chest from Naruto and Erza at once.

Erza and Naruto meeting back to back in the center of the room, smirked and glanced back at each other.

"Getting exhausted yet?" Naruto chuckled as he noticed the number of enemies was growing thin.

"Not in the slightest." Erza replied softly as she held the exact same sword posture as Naruto.

"Well let's finish these bastards off and keep moving then." Naruto began as he channeled his magic into his sword.

"After you." Erza shot back as Naruto jumped forward to continue fighting and she followed in matching tempo.

(With Jellal)

Seated with three individuals kneeled before him, Jellal had a rather amused expression on his face. Despite the fact that he could feel the tremors caused by Naruto and Erza dismantling his followers.

"It would seem little Erza saved me the trouble of capturing her and found her own way to the tower. However, I have no need for that useless arrogant blond." Jellal mumbled before making a hand gesture for the three people by his feet to leave. "So kill him and bring me Erza."

The three all nodded before disappearing to complete their assigned task. Something that made Jellal smile before a thought projection suddenly made themselves known within the room.

"Jellal what is going on, you're missing from the council."

Looking at his fellow council member and dark wizard, Jellal merely kept a calm and collected expression. "Ultear it's nice to see you showing concern for me, but everything is okay. I'm just attending to some unforeseen circumstances."

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"Erza Scarlet and Naruto Namikaze have infiltrated the tower and are currently engaging my underlings."

"Then we need to hurry and convince the rest of the council to fire the Etherion. We have spent too much resources to fall short on our goal."

Jellal shook his head. "No, I need more time before I'm ready."

"What are you talking about Jellal? You said days ago the tower was ready and just needed the Etherion to provide magic power along with a human sacrifice!"

Frowning and summoning a magical projection into the air he was using to spy on his intruders. Jellal made sure to point his finger to Naruto for Ultear to see. "I've been watching this bastard fight and his magic has been destroying the tower instead of absorbing his magic like it should. Either there is an error with the tower I need to correct or I need to neutralize this man before he becomes a larger hindrance."

Ultear watched Naruto with interest as she saw exactly what Jellal was saying with her own eyes as Naruto was causing serious damage to the tower with the backlash of his attacks. "I see, in that case I'll try and delay the council. I trust you'll fix this problem?"

Jellal waved his hand around and kept his eyes on Naruto and Erza. "Trust me those fairies will fall before the night is over."

(With Naruto and Erza)

Walking through a passageway and into a massive room, Naruto and Erza walked along a wooden path with dozens of crimson torii gates that led down the path and towards the other side. Yet as Naruto suddenly halted his movements, Erza stopped by his side and glanced at the blond with confusion.

"Naruto, why are you stopping?"

Sighing and grabbing the hilt of his sword, Naruto began to push Moon Dragon magic into the weapon. "Three people are in this room and trying to ambush us."

Hearing the blond's hushed tone, Erza was surprised and summoned a sword into her hand. "I must say your sense of smell and hearing is remarkable."

"I am half dragon, but you assholes can either come out now or I'll come to you!" Naruto yelled loudly as he was growing tired of defeating dark wizard after dark wizard.

"So you wish to- . . ." A man with the head of an owl began from above before his chest expelled blood due to the sudden massive gash across his chest.

Naruto watching the strange man fall hard into the ground lowered his sword and snapped his eyes to the side. Finding one of the people who were waiting to ambush him standing in the open with his legs shaking.

"What's the matter?" Naruto called out with a dry voice and emotionless gaze. "You we're moving in for the sneak attack seconds ago, but stopped when I cut down your comrade. Don't tell me you got cold feet?"

The person in question was a pale skinned man with long dark hair. Who was shaking in fear at the half dragon before him. "Just what are-. . ." The man started before a crescent arc of Naruto's magic slashed through his torso and the ground behind. Causing the man to fall over without another word even uttered.

"And now for the last one." Naruto mumbled as he started to walk and leak magic off his blade. "I already told you idiot, you don't come to me I'm coming to you!"

A fast dash suddenly coming into view, Naruto effortlessly lifted his wooden sword to block a quick surprise attack from a pink haired swordswoman.

"I won't be taken out as easily as my comrades." The woman declared before the area around Naruto erupted in slash marks. Yet despite Naruto within the center of where the slashes were coming from. The blond was completely unharmed and continued to lazily block his opponent's attempts to harm him.

"This is boring." Naruto grumbled as he extended his free palm out to the woman. Instantly slamming her with a blast of Moon Dragon Magic that sent her flying into the air before slamming into the ceiling head first. Then as he watched the unknown woman dangle from the ceiling that her upper body was lodged into, Naruto turned his gaze back to Erza. "Shall we continue?"

Running up to Naruto with disbelief behind her eyes, Erza could only look at Naruto with a sense of wonder. "You beat those three without breaking a sweat and they weren't your average wizards. I could tell they each had plenty of magic and skill."

Naruto waved the girl off and laughed. "Please they were nothing, but I'm only smelling one other person in the distance. So I'm guessing Jellal is close by."

Erza nodded. "Then when we face Jellal I ask that you please let me handle him."

"Can't do Erza." Naruto replied before giving the girl a confident grin.

"Jellal is my problem." Erza argued back with a frown, which made Naruto laugh. "Don't laugh! This is my battle and you've already done enough!"

"You know most stories humans have of dragons are pretty far off from the truth. However, one thing I've heard that holds true is humans believe dragons to hoard treasure and protect what is theirs with all they have. Even going as far as to die to protect their treasures."

"And what does that have to do with anything?"

Taking his hand and giving Erza a gentle pat on the head, Naruto gave the girl a caring expression. "The guild, our friends and especially you are all something I treasure dearly. So like any dragon I'll protect that treasure and destroy anyone who tries to take it from me. All you have to do is just sit back and watch me burn that past that has haunted you to ash."

A blush filling her face, Erza just watched as Naruto picked up his pace and started to walk ahead. A tightness building in her chest as she was growing more fond of her fellow guild mate as time went on.

(Top of the Tower of Heaven)

Walking up into the top floor of the tower, Naruto and Erza were both instantly met with the smirking figure of Jellal Fernandes. Who was watching both Fairy Tail wizard's approach him with a very uncaring and casual demeanor. Only making the slightest movement to remove the hood from his head to reveal his face to Naruto and Erza.

"Well it's been awhile Erza." Jellal began with a light laugh as he held his hands outward. "Glad to see you back where you belong!"

"Jellal. . ." Erza mumbled in a low voice, as she didn't know what to do with the man before her. Yet Naruto didn't have any issues voicing himself.

"She won't be here long jackass, just long enough to watch me take you and this tower down for good." Naruto replied with anger behind his words as he lifted his sword up and held the grip tightly.

"See that won't work, as I have big plans to sacrifice Erza to revive the great Zeref!" Jellal declared boldly, which instantly made Naruto drop his sword at his side and hold back a laugh.

"That's really what all this is about?" Naruto asked with a scoff as he shook his head in disbelief. "Mom always told me dark wizards of this country were stupid, but I didn't think this stupid!"

"You may fear the power of Lord Zeref, but my ambitions hold no such fear!" Jellal yelled back which only caused Naruto to laugh louder.

"I fear no human, but this has nothing to do with fear." Naruto then paused and a wide smile graced his lips. "Actually it's more entertaining if you die and find out your so-called Lord Zeref isn't waiting for you in the afterlife."

"What madness are you speaking of?" Jellal shot back in anger, as Naruto was quickly getting under his skin.

"Like I said it's best you don't know. Besides I promised Erza I'd kick your ass, so let's get this show on the road!"

Jellal shook his head at Naruto's challenge. "So quick

to always defend Titania. What are you trying to do? Become her little Oberon?"

Holding his sword up, Naruto began to channel his Moon Dragon magic into his sword. "Enough talking."

Removing his robe and leaking magic from his body, Jellal smiled sadistically. "I couldn't agree more."

"Moon Breathing Sixth Form: Piercing Moonlight!" Naruto roared as he thrusted his sword forward in a jabbing motion, which expelled a ray of moonlight in a straight line at Jellal.

"You'll have to do better than that!" The blue haired man yelled before leaping into the air and igniting his body in a cloak of Heavenly Body Magic. "Meteor!"

Watching Jellal zip and dash through the air in a fast and random pattern, Naruto was quickly forced to take off running to the side and try to keep pace with the flying man's speed. Yet it didn't take long for Jellal to close the gap and flip out his leg for a quick kick to Naruto's side. However, Naruto using his reflexes blocked the kick with his forearm. A blow that slightly stung, but momentarily stopped Jellal's movements.

"Got you!" Naruto roared loudly, as he used his free hand to swing his sword in a wide overhead arc. "Moon Breathing First Form: Dark Moon, Evening Palace!"

Jellal watching the arc of Naruto's magic discharging off Naruto's sword merely used his own magic to defy gravity and spin around Naruto's body and attack. Resulting in the dark wizard floating behind Naruto with his palm pointed downward at the blond.

"Pathetic." Jellal mumbled as he unleashed a torrent of darkness magic into Naruto's backside. Sending the blond skipping and rolling across the floor before smashing into a pillar.

"Naruto!" Erza screamed in fear, as she watched the blond's body disappear in a cloud of dust from his impact.

"Is that all you've got!" Naruto roared as he dashed out of the cloud of dust and held his sword into the air. "Moon Breathing Seventh Form: Blinding Moonlight!"

A discharge of light illuminating from Naruto's sword Jellal and Erza both were forced to hide their eyes to protect themselves from the blinding white moonlight. Naruto on the other hand started to spin his sword in a large circular cyclone at Jellal, which caused a flurry of white butterflies to fly out of the center.

"Moon Breathing Eighth Form: Moonlit Butterfly!"

"What the hell is this!" Jellal yelled as the butterflies began to flutter around his body and latch onto him. Causing the dark wizard to shake and twist to try and remove the strange magical creations, but was unable to remove a single one. Instead more and more butterflies wrapped themselves around Jellal quickly turning into a tight constricting force that was holding Jellal in place.

"Moon Breathing Ninth Form." Naruto mumbled softly as he held his sword high into the air, while a faintly visible force was leaking from his sword. Something that Jellal could only stare at with helpless eyes before Naruto swung his sword downward. "Vanishing Moon."

Sensing the magic leaking off Naruto's wooden blade, Jellal quickly pumped all the Heavenly Body magic around his body he could muster and shattered the butterflies holding him in place. Then reacting with seconds he dashed into the air. Moving with just enough time to feel an invisible force fly past his body. A force that collided with the wall behind Jellal and instantly scaring the wall with a massive crescent shaped gash.

Erza watching this battle was mesmerized by the blond's abilities, but was still nervous at the outcome of the battle.

"You're pretty talented, but you're wasting your time." Jellal declared as he floated onto the ground and crossed his arms over his head. A spell already swirling to life in the form of a pitch black orb that was sucking everything in like a black hole. "I'm going to kill you and then sacrifice Erza to bring back Lord Zeref!"

Naruto lazily watched the spell forming and merely lowered his sword by his hip. "I would love to see you try."

"Oh trust me, I will." Jellal chuckled as his spell began to grow in size and power before condensing into a bright white light.

"Naruto!" Erza yelled in desperation as she could feel the magical power coming from Jellal's spell. "You need to move! That spell is bad news!"

Looking over his shoulder with a smirk, Naruto locked eyes with Erza and winked. "It's okay I've figured something out about his magic."

"Altairis!" Jellal roared as his spell shot out in a beam of blinding white light that ripped through the ground between Naruto and Jellal. Quickly consuming Naruto in an explosion that rocked the entire tower and sent dust and debris flying everywhere.

Erza being forced to shield her eyes with her forearms gritted her teeth from the backlash of the spell. Yet after the initial shockwave she opened her eyes and looked forward with worry. Finding the area Naruto was standing to be surrounded by a plume of black smoke.

"Naruto!" The Queen of Fairies yelled out, but the only response she received was Jellal's maniacal laughter.

"What an idiot!" The blue haired wizard insulted as he covered his face with his hand while he laughed. "Not only did he just stand there and let me hit him, but he died for absolutely nothing! Really Erza, is this the kind of people you surround yourself with these days?"

A look of pure hatred covering her face, Erza summoned a sword to her hand and gripped so tightly onto the hilt she could have broken it. "I'm not just gonna make you pay! No, I'm going to kill you Jellal!"

"You're gonna have to wait in line." The carefree voice of Naruto chuckled before a loud flapping sound cut through the air and the smoke around Naruto vanished. Revealing the blond with his torso revealed to everyone while his two white wings were proudly shown for anyone to see. Yet this wasn't the only change to Naruto's appearance as his eyes had reptilian like slits and a singular massive horn was protruding from the side of Naruto's head. Meanwhile his skin had large patches of white scales and large claws grew from the tips of his fingers. "Because I'm just getting started."

"What the hell!" Jellal stammered at Naruto's appearance. "What kind of monster are you? My spell should have killed you!"

Flexing his muscles and rotating his shoulders, Naruto started to dust himself off. "Well considering you use Heavenly Body magic I can just eat your puny little spell. Unfortunately, it looks like the sudden intake of magic shifted me straight into my hybrid form."

"What? How can you eat my magic?!"

Taking his sword and slamming the wooden blade deep into the tower's floor. Naruto smiled with a wide grin and slowly took a step forward. "You asked earlier if I was trying to be the king to Erza's queen."

Erza who was enthralled with the beauty of Naruto's appearance couldn't help herself from watching the half dragon in a daze. Her heartbeat picked up rapidly as she heard the teen talk about her.

"And what of it?" Jellal yelled in a shaky voice.

"While I enjoy the idea of sharing a title close to Erza's. I have no intentions of being a king." Naruto admitted as he held his hands out and his dragonic pride started to show itself. "After all, what's a king to a god?"

Glaring at Naruto and preparing his magic, Jellal steadied his resolve against the blond. "Pfft and what's a god to a nonbeliever?"

Shooting forward at blinding speeds, Naruto grabbed Jellal by the face and slammed him into the wall behind. Making cracks and a perfectly sized Jellal indention in the wall.

"Well then." Naruto began as he slowly leaned into Jellal with a small smile. "I'll just have to make a believer out of you."

Taking Jellal roughly out of the wall, Naruto twisted his torso and slammed the dark wizard into the ground before dragging him a few feet and then throwing him up into the ceiling.

"Let's end this already." Naruto mumbled as he blurred in a burst of speed and ripped his wooden sword out of the ground. Already switching his eyes to Jellal and his sword bursting to life in a crimson coating of Moon Dragon magic.

"Moon Breathing Tenth Form." Naruto began as he inhaled a large breath of air and jumped into the air. Swiping his crimson blade directly into Jellal with all the power he could muster. "Crimson Moon."

Erza watching from below could only watch in disbelief as a crimson explosion of Naruto's magic obliterated the entire ceiling of the tower and sent Jellal's body flying off the tower in a bloody mess. Leaving nothing in her view besides Naruto. Who was floating with the backdrop of a crimson night sky and blood red moon illuminating his figure.

Yet snapping his head forward and shrouding his body within his Celestial Body Magic. Jellal flew into the air and glared at Naruto with blood dripping from every inch of his body. Then wasting no time taking one arm over the other, Jellal took his top hand and held up his index and middle fingers spread out against the palm of his bottom hand. Creating seven magic seals overhead before connecting them to create a constellation of sorts.

"Grand Chariot!"

Naruto watching the spell lifted his brow in interest, as he could tell this was a very powerful and desperate last move. Still the fact remained that Naruto was Jellal's biggest weakness. "Don't you realize your magic is useless against me? I eat and grow stronger from celestial magic!"

"You're not the target." Jellal whispered softly, but loud enough for Naruto to hear.

"Shit." Naruto cursed as he looked down at Erza the moment Jellal unleashed his spell in a massive downward beam straight from the Queen of Fairies.

Erza watching the attack was too stunned to even think let alone plan any sort of defense. However, as time seemed to slow down to a near halt, Erza was dumbfounded to find Naruto instantly within the path of Jellal's attack. Already using his wooden sword to block the massive beam of celestial magic before finding himself completely engulfed in a magic explosion.

"You stupid fool DIE!" Jellal screamed loudly.

Erza, hearing the man from her past, closed her eyes and held her hands over her heart. "Naruto I believe in you. . . So win this fight and let's go home!"

Jellal, watching his attack land, took a sigh of relief and lowered his arms. "That should finish the job."

"Seriously like I said earlier, you dark wizards are stupid!" Naruto yelled loudly as he made himself known and used his wings to flap away any dust around his body. Revealing he was completely fine, but his wooden sword was completely destroyed. "I can't be hurt by celestial magic weaker than my own."

"What are you-. . ." Jellal began but stopped the moment a beam of white Moon Dragon magic pierced his chest. Making Jellal's eyes go wide as he placed his shaking hands to his chest. Then as his Celestial Body Magic dispelled the blue haired boy faded into unconsciousness before falling.

Naruto holding his hand outward watched Jellal's body fall into the ocean below and merely took a deep breath. "Sorry, but the lady wanted me to wrap things up." The blond mumbled softly so only he could hear.

"He did it." Erza mumbled softly, as she watched Naruto float back down and look directly at her.

"Well I'm not done yet." Naruto began showing he heard exactly what Erza had said with his hearing. "I still gotta knock this tower to the ground and then you can finally put your past behind you."

With tears in her eyes, Erza dashed forward and brought Naruto into a tight hug. "Thank you."

Laughing and returning the hug, Naruto began to flap his wings and carry Erza up into the sky. "Don't go thanking me yet. I still have to destroy this tower."

Finding that Naruto was flying high above the tower, Erza lifted her brow. "And how are you going to do that?"

Smirking with a toothy grin, Naruto gave Erza a wink. "Do you trust me?

"With my life." The Titania declared without even thinking, which made Naruto laugh.

"Good." The half dragon replied as he dropped Erza without warning and let her fall to the deep dark waters below. Yet as Erza looked down frantically and tried to prepare herself for the eventual plunge into the ocean water. She was suddenly caught by a large blur that flew under her.

In fact Erza found herself riding on the back of a large white dragon that possessed nine fur-like tails protruding from its backside. Yet as the dragon looked back to Erza and she saw it's crescent shaped horn and beautiful blue eyes. The scarlet haired girl instantly knew just who the dragon truly was despite there being only one logical answer.

"Naruto, why in the hell would you drop me like that!" The Queen of Fairies roared in anger as she began to pound Naruto's backside with her fists.

"I needed to change into my dragon form so I had to drop you for a second okay!" Naruto yelled back comically as even though his voice held more weight behind it, Erza could still recognize Naruto's voice.

"You could have given me a warning!" Erza shot back, which showed the girl wasn't afraid of Naruto's dragon form in the slightest.

"You weren't in any danger!" Naruto roared back in annoyance.

Folding her arms in frustration, Erza looked around Naruto's full dragon body and noticed the blond wasn't all that big. According to Natsu dragons were larger than the guild hall, but Naruto seemed only to be larger than a small cottage.

"Hey why are you so small?" Erza asked casually, which made Naruto's jaw drop and a tick mark flare on his head.

"What do you mean small!" Naruto growled in anger, which made Erza tilt her head.

"Natsu always said dragons were much bigger than this."

"I'm still growing damnit!" Naruto yelled back loudly as he seemed to slightly pout. "I'm only nineteen! I still have some years to grow! You should be impressed if anything! I've never shown anyone besides my Mom this form!"

"I feel honored that you trust me this much truly." Erza replied with sincerity behind her voice.

Floating in the sky and gazing at the tower, Naruto flashed his sharp teeth. "Well it's time to end this for good." Naruto mumbled as he opened his mouth and began to inhale a deep breath and gather his magic. "Moon Dragon's Roar!" Naruto roared with the ferocity of a dragon before unleashing a massive concentrated beam of pure Moon Dragon magic into the tower.

Erza, watching with her eyes fixed on the impact of Naruto's attack against the tower, could only watch with a sense of joy mixed with relief as she saw the tower begin to buckle and break. Tears rolling down her cheeks as she thought back to her pain, suffering and loss that she had endured because of that tower. Years of misery and depression quickly faded as she finally watched the symbol of all her past grief tumble into the ocean waters in millions of pieces.

"It's finally over grandpa Rob." Erza mumbled softly, as she used her hands to wipe away the tears in her eyes.

Naruto grinning at what he had done and heard instantly flew up into the sky. Doing a quick roll in the air to send Erza falling off his back, but as the girl fell she didn't yell or scream. Considering Naruto quickly changed into his human form with wings and caught Erza in seconds.

"You didn't throw a fit that time." Naruto pointed out with a laugh as he held the girl tightly in his arms.

Erza looking at Naruto with the backdrop of a full moon behind them merely smiled with a loving gaze. "Well I realized I'm not in danger, as you'll keep me safe better than any suit of armor ever could."

"Of course."

Placing her head into Naruto's chest, Erza closed her eyes and just enjoyed the blond's embrace. "Thank you for ending this nightmare."

Flapping his wings and flying back towards the resort, Naruto kept his eyes on Erza. Finding the woman in his arms incredibly beautiful with her crimson red hair. Making a promise to himself here and now that he would do whatever it took to protect that smile he was currently gazing at.

"Well I promised you I would and I always keep my promises."

"I can see that."

Naruto smiled at Erza's reply, but as he flew closer and closer towards the resort and his friends a thought came into his head. "Hey Erza, I need you to listen."

Opening her eyes and looking up, Erza gave Naruto her full attention. "Yes?"

"I've trusted you with knowing my past and abilities and I plan to at least tell Natsu, Lucy, Happy and Gray. However, I want to keep this knowledge between us for now. No one else in the guild and certainly not your old friends, I may tell the Master, but I don't want word to spread that I'm a half dragon."

"I understand, you don't want your mother to learn about where you are."

"Exactly."

"Well you can trust I'll do everything I can to help keep word from spreading to your mother."

"Thanks Erza."

"Anything for you." The Queen of Fairies replied softly as the two flew back towards the resort in a blissful silence.

(With Ultear)

Sitting with her eyes fixated on a glowing green orb, Ultear had a rather displeased expression on her face.

"So explain to me exactly what happened." A voice spoke through the orb.

"The R-System was lost along with our pawn Jellal. The Magic Council, learning of the tower's destruction, moved away from the idea of firing the Etherion. Then with Jellal's fake identity of Siegrain missing the council did a small investigation to learn there was never a Siegrain and came to the conclusion that Jellal was manipulating them."

"And how was the tower destroyed in the first place?"

"No solid evidence has come forth, but Jellal did mention he was fighting off Erza Scarlet and Naruto Namikaze. Two members of Fairy Tail and one who had enough destructive force to damage the tower."

"So members of Fairy Tail are most likely at fault for ruining our plans. There is a sense of irony there."

"I guess so, but what will you have me do now? The Council still trusts me as a loyal member despite Jellal's failure."

"For now stay in your position and keep doing what you've been doing. Our time for action will come soon."

"Understood, Master Hades."

And here is another chapter and a happy new year. I hope you enjoyed it as with Naruto's power a lot of the arc is quite trivial. So I decided to wait and let the rest of the gang shine in other arcs and just focus on Naruto and Erza. Trying to do my best to let her show off a little while Naruto mainly did most of the heavy lifting. Hopefully the fights were good and things will pick up as the chapters go on.

Anyways I've set the groundwork for a lot of things moving forward and can't wait for a certain moment. It's something that not anyone could see coming! So until then stay safe and thanks for reading!
