UA's Saiyan Heroes
"Ah, I'm so beat." Kirishima groaned sitting on the couch as most of the boys were sitting in the common room.
"Yeah, same here. You done unpacking?" Sero asked.
"I think so." Kirishima stated.
"Feels good doesn't it?" Kaminari questioned, no longer in his shorted out state. "I know we could have died, but it's kind of exciting to be living here."
"A unified class. It's the perfect way to increase our cooperation and discipline, how smart." Iida said, dressed in his full tracksuit, moving his hands around in their usual robotic way.
"So you never relax do you?" Kirishima questioned.
"Hiya boys, all done with your rooms?" Mina questioned as she and the other girls, minus Tsu, came towards them.
"Yep, we're just unwinding now and enjoying some of the leftover Pizza." Kaminari stated.
"At least there's enough remaining to be considered leftovers. Did you see Kaen and Ashido?" Sato asked.
"I know, fifty whole pies each. That's nuts, where do they put it all?" Sero asked.
"I know where Ashido puts it all." Kaminari said, eyeing Mina's chest as she was just in a sports bra and leggings, with her stomach pushed out with a pregnant belly, wearing her pregnancy simulating collar.
"Those of us with a, Saiyan Type Quirk, have diets that require a whole lot of calorie consumption, which is why Kaen paid for our Pizza's." Mina said as Jiro used her Quirk on Kaminari to punish him for his perversion.
"What's a Saiyan Type Quirk?" Uraraka asked.
"Forget that, what are Saiyans?" Sero inquired.
"There were a mummified remains of beings who claimed to have come from another world, and the translation of the language carved in the walls showed they called themselves Saiyans. The discovery was located in the jungles of South America, discovered in the tombs of recently found and explored Mayan Temples, and another before that in the catacombs under the Great Wall of China, if I remember correctly." Todoroki said. "They had tails like Ashido and Yagi."
"Basically, Saiyan Type Quirks, are just Quirks manifested with the genetics of those visiting Saiyans having mutated and merged with Quirk Genes. Kaen's family bloodline on both sides of his biological parents family trees can be traced back to several of those Saiyans." Mina said, though most of the girls in the room knew she was lying, hiding the truth from the rest of the class who were in the dark, unlike those who knew. But those were secrets they were more then happy to keep.
"But, that can't be all that is, can it?" Ojiro
"Well, how do I put this?" Mina inquired. "Before Akuma became, a Saiyan Nomu as Kaen now calls him, his Quirk was simply, Saiyans Pride. Basically it just gave him the appearance and bodily functions of a Saiyan, as well as the natural Ki manipulation that all with Saiyan Type Quirks come with. Akuma, after receiving a duplicate of the Quirk All-for-One used it on me, during the attack on the USJ after he'd kidnapped me, to turn my Quirk, into a Saiyan Type Quirk. The All-for-One he has is now All-for-One-Saiyan, while my Quirk is now called Saiyan Venom. Kaen's Quirk is called Saiyan's Wrath, and Athena's Quirk, is called Saiyan Xerox. That's the same type of Quirk Ms. Yagi has to."
"But, isn't she their aunt, biologically?" Shoji inquired.
"Biologically yes, however Athena wasn't always in possession of the Xerox, portion of Saiyan Xerox." Izumi said. "Long story short, this situation with their older brother started six years ago, when they were nine. Celeron tried to give them to All-for-One for Nomu experiments, in exchange for the copy of the All-for-One Quirk that he now has. Instead, they were given an offer to join him, and Athena was given Xerox, the Quirk that originally belonged to All-for-One's only son, before he took it and killed him in cold blood when his son realized he was actually the product of rape, and the offspring of a Villain and catatonic heroine."
"Who was the boys mother?" Momo asked in shock.
"Nana Shimura." Kirishima said. "Ashido and I have known this bit of history behind Kaen and Athena's Quirks for a while now."
"So, the boy was technically Shigaraki's uncle?" Tokoyami asked.
"Hey." Jiro said. "Enough of this doom and gloom stuff you guys. This is not a topic we should be talking about at all after just moving into a new dorm. Let's move onto another, more positive topic."
"She's right." Yang smiled. "Mina and I had a great idea earlier that we wanted to share with you."
"What could possibly fun for us, after just moving into the dorms?" Kirishima asked.
"I don't like the looks on their faces." Todoroki said.
"We should at least hear them out, it's our duty as their classmates." Iida stated.
"Let's go around and see who has the coolest room." Mina smiled.
All the boys blanched at the thought of that.
Yang smiled. "Let's get too it."
"Hey wait, where's Yagi? He should be joining us for this as well." Shoji said.
"Oh, don't worry. Kaen had to go visit someone about something. He'll be back later." Mina said.
~Workshops~
Bang-bang-bang.
"Yeah-yeah, I'm coming, hold your horses." Athena sighed, lifting her goggles and heading for the workshop door.
Since having to move into U.A Dorms, Athena had to pass the burden of the triplet pregnancy to a willing volunteer, and Tsuki seemed more then happy to take over for her. So without missing a beat, Athena shed the baby weight, and packed her things to move into U.A School Dorms.
Currently she was wearing a dirty soot covered tank top, a pair of slim fitting overalls that hung off her hips, leaving her midriff bear, as well as a bandanna to hold back her hair, pair of goggles on her head sitting on the bandanna, gloves on her hands, and steel toed boots on her feet, and she even had a bandage over her nose to help the goggles fit better, which was more her style of clothing then maternity wear, or the school uniform. Thankfully, in her opinion, Support Course students weren't mandated to wear them during classes, just when they came and left school. But with Dorms now five minutes away, she practically didn't need the uniform, unless it was for a formal occasion.
Opening the door, Athena smiled when she saw who was knocking on her door. "Oh it's just you."
"Nice to see you to Athena." Kaen said.
"Come on in. I'm the only one working right now, so we can talk freely." Athena smiled letting him in.
"They let you in here after curfew?" Kaen asked.
"Sort of. So long as none of us cause our lab to explode, or we don't mess with the security cameras in any negative way, we're free to use it whenever we want. An' since Saiyans only need three hours of sleep instead of eight like our human counterparts, I'm here more then the other girls." Athena said, tossing him a can of soda. "So what can I do for ya, your majesty?"
"Athena… I need your help with something." Kaen said.
There was a moment of silence as Athena opened her can of soda, but paused when she heard the tone in his voice.
"This is about Eri, isn't it?" Athena inquired.
"Overhaul is behind her kidnapping, and you know it." Kaen said.
"We both know it, but your provisional license is invalid thanks to your supposed, death at the training camp, and I'm not a hero course student. What do you want me to do about it?" Athena asked, drinking her soda.
"I want you to make a device, a bracelet, that will turn anyone who wears it, into a Saiyan." Kaen stated firmly.
Athena coughed as she choked on her soda, hearing Kaen say that, before turning to him with a questioning look.
"Are you serious right now?" Athena questioned. "Do you know how much like Celeron you sound like?"
"I'm not gonna use it on everyone I think would make for a good Saiyan." Kaen said. "Put a failsafe on it."
"What kind?" Athena asked.
"Voice activation or something. Give it something that requires for me to grant permission for something to even happen." Kaen stated.
"Kaen why would you even… You plan on using it on Eri, don't you?" Athena asked, realizing what he was doing.
"Only if she agrees after we get her back." Kaen said.
"Why not just force her into becoming a Saiyan?" Athena asked.
"I'm not gonna take that choice away from her." Kaen said. "I'm her father, I'm not a monster. I don't wanna take away her free will, like Celeron had tried to do with Mina."
Athena looked at Kaen, before she sighed and shook her head.
"Fine. Give me a few days, and I'll come to you with a few design options. Unlike the simple Pregnancy Simulation Bands, and your Xerox Band, putting something together with more detailed features will take a bit more of a technological approach Xerox can't provide." Athena said.
"Thank you Athena." Kaen stated.
"Just so you know Kaen, when I made a Duplication Bag for Eri, I left a piece of candy inside that would have turned her into a Saiyan. She should have found it by now, and if she has but didn't eat it, then there's a reason why. Just be sure you know what you're doing when you use this device on Eri." Athena said.
"I told you, I'm not gonna force this on her. It'll be her choice." Kaen said.
"Just wanting to make sure you're aware." Athena said. "But, onto another topic. One more pressing and concerning."
"The Dorms." Kaen said, picking up what she was putting down.
"Principal Nezu didn't set them up just to keep a more watchful eye on the students." Athena stated. "The thing that have been happening at this school, the attacks, the invasions, the League of Villains, they've all been possible because there's one thing that can explain it."
"U.A has a mole."
"If that information were to get out, it'd cause a mass panic, and far more trouble for U.A then necessary." Athena said.
"Do you think All-for-One still has some sort of connection to you through Xerox?" Kaen inquired.
"My first thoughts as well."
"And?"
"No go. The link caused between him and someone else when he gives them a Quirk was nullified the moment I found it. I severed the link without any hope of restarting it without physical contact." Athena said.
"Do you think you might be able to find out who it is?" Kaen inquired.
"Been trying. If they were contacting All-for-One via a burner phone, then I wouldn't be able to track the signal." Athena said.
"What if it wasn't a burner phone?" Kaen asked.
"What do you mean?"
"What if, somehow one of All-for-One's more tech savvy followers, was able to reverse engineer Celeron's Scouter from when he first joined up, and created one of his own?"
"Similar to how I did the same thing." Athena said.
"An' he gave that, to whoever was the spy that infiltrated the school. An' if whoever infiltrated was in the hero course…"
"It could easily be integrated into their hero costume as an outside piece of the design." Athena said. "Great thinking Kaen, you'd make for an amazing detective. I'll get started on plans for a tracker as soon as I can."
"I'm not that good. I just thought of communication devices and that popped into my mind." Kaen said.
"Either way, it's still a genius idea. Now get out of here, Ruby's still working on the repairs to the crown, and I'm in the middle of making a new ring with the redesign of the Royal Seal."
"I'll see you around Athena." Kaen said, heading out of the workshop.
Heading back to where the Class1-A Dorm was located, Kaen stopped when he saw Mina, Todoroki, Izumi, Kirishima, Iida, Momo, Yang, Tsu, and Uraraka standing outside in the grass.
"Hey, what's going on here?" Kaen asked, gaining their attention.
"We all just had a contest to see who's room was done the best after unpacking, and before we were about to head off to bed, Uraraka called us out here. It appears, Tsu was wanting to tell us something." Iida explained.
"What's the matter Tsu?" Kaen asked.
There was a moment of silence from the Froggy Quirk girl, and Kaen could see something was troubling her.
"You guys know I'm pretty straight forward, and I'll always speak what's on my mind. But sometimes, I don't know, I'm at a loss. Remember what I said back at the house, about the rescue?" Tsu asked.
"Yeah, you said it was a job better left to police and heroes." Mina said.
"Is this about the rescue attempt they all did?" Kaen asked.
"My heart was hurting, and the things I said, must have upset you." Tsu stated, bowing a bit.
"It's okay Tsu." Uraraka said, putting a comforting hand on her shoulder.
"Despite my warning, you still went and saved Bakugo. I didn't know that until this morning. I thought I'd stopped you, but it turns out I was worthless, a complete failure, and suddenly I had no idea what to say. I didn't think I deserved to joke around and have fun with everyone like usual. But, it made me so sad, to be without you." Tsu said as she began to cry, tears streaming down her face. "That's why I wanted to talk to you, even if I'm still not sure how I'm supposed to be feeling. I wanted you to know so that we could hang out and talk, so we could have a good time again."
"It's not just you who thinks that Tsu." Uraraka said. "Everyone felt pretty bad, and wanted things back to the way they were before. That's why we did the room contest, to bring us closer together, and make us feel like a class again. It was even Mina and Yang's idea for us to do that, because they could feel the tension between everyone. It's all we could come up with and agree to, so please don't feel like we were trying to trick you or anything. Look what I'm saying is, let's all work hard at our training and be good friends again, okay?"
"Tsu, I'm sorry, thanks for telling us how you feel." Kirishima stated.
"It's okay." Yaoyorozu said.
"I apologize." Iida added.
"You shouldn't feel bad." Todoroki said.
"C'mon, where's that cheerful attitude you always have?" Yang asked.
"We all feel that way at times. So don't beat yourself up over this, you're still our friend, and that won't change just because of all this happening." Izumi said.
"Listen, I won't make you said again." Kirishima said, as Tsu began crying from all the overwhelming feelings of support she was getting.
"Me neither." Yaoyorozu said putting a hand on her head.
"We promise." Iida stated.
"Bring it in everyone." Mina said, pulling them all in for a group hug.
With a smile on his face, seeing how they were able to resolve this matter, Kaen just stepped back, and took to the air, flying to the balcony of his and Mina's room, before entering. The bed inside was brought from home, and the walls were lined with band and anime posters, and a few hero posters of the Avengers from the Pre-Quirk Era.
On the nightstand on his side of the bed, was a photo of Eri smiling, with the I-Expo in the background, and enjoying one of his homemade candied apple slices he'd packed for their trip to I-Island.
"Doing okay babe?" Mina asked, coming in through the door, carrying three boxes of pizzas.
"I'm okay."
"I brought you some leftover pizza you didn't finish. I know how you eat when you're worried."
"I'll be fine Mina." Kaen sighed, putting the picture down. "How's Tsu, is she alright?"
"She cried herself to sleep in everyone's arms." Mina said putting the pizza down on the desk. "Izumi and Uraraka carried her off to her room. Momo made a blanket to put over her."
"I'm glad she's at least faced her demons. She has the right to know, she can count on her friends, and classmates." Kaen said, changing out of his clothes and into pajamas.
"We all do babe." Mina smiled. "Including you."
"I know." Kaen stated, before biting down on a piece of pizza.
"So, we gave a sort of, flimsy reason why every Quirk in your family has the word, Saiyan in it." Mina stated. "But you know you're only delaying the inevitable and only gonna make revealing the truth harder, the longer you keep it from the others right?"
"I know. I gave myself a deadline. I'll tell them after the Provisional Licensing Exams. If I fail to do that, then I have no right to call myself a true Saiyan, or a King." Kaen said.
"So as King, does that make me your Queen?" Mina asked with a sultry smile.
Kaen turned to look at Mina on the bed and his eyes widened with his cheeks flushed, when he saw Mina lying on top of the covers, wearing a translucent blue nightie, and panties, giving Kaen a view of everything else.
"Mina, are you trying to get us in trouble?" Kaen asked.
"Oh relax, you and I both know we're not gonna do anything, and this isn't the first time you've seen me completely topless, you should be used to it by now." Mina chuckled, enjoying his embarrassment.
"Come on Mina, can't you go one night without teasing me like this?" Kaen sighed, sitting down on his side of the bed.
"I'm sorry babe, I'm just concerned about Eri is all, and I'm trying to get my mind off her." Mina said.
"Same here. I wanna find her, I really do. But mom and you made a good point. My Provisional License is invalid, and I'd be arrested for vigilantism if I tried going out and finding her myself, my own way." Kaen said, lying down in bed. "Wherever she is, I hope she's doing okay."
"Me to babe, me to." Mina said, cuddling up to him.
"I think, first chance we get, we go pay your grandfather a visit."
"Hopefully he or Arcane has her. If Fujio did attack mom in broad daylight, she should have followed the escape plan for when that happened."
"We'll know soon enough."
~Classroom the Following Morning~
"I believe I've mentioned this already, but your main focus this summer, will be obtaining your Provisional Hero Licenses." Aizawa said addressing his class. "But for one of you, you'll just be focusing on your training while the others take the exam."
"Yessir."
"Do not take this lightly." Aizawa said. "A hero license means that you're responsible for human lives. You can imagine that the exam to receive one outside of the training camp you were supposed to get them at, is very difficult. Only fifty percent of students pass the test required for these permits each year."
"It's that hard, to get a provisional license?" Kaminari asked.
"In order to prepare, today you'll concentrate on creating something new." Aizawa said, before the door to the classroom slid open, revealing Midnight, Cementous, and Ectoplasm. "Two ultimate moves."
"When we say ultimate, we mean a move that will ensure you win against your opponent." Ectoplasm said.
"An action so unique to your identity that no other person can hope to copy it." Cementous explained. "Simply put, you must learn to lean into your strengths."
"Your moves represent who you are. These days most pro heroes have an ultimate move. Those who don't are fools." Midnight continued.
"This may sound abstract, but we'll explain more as the day goes on." Aizawa stated. "For now, change into your costumes and meet in Gym Gamma."
"Uh sir." Kaen said raising his hand. "I don't wanna sound over confident or narcissistic, but I'm pretty sure I've got two ultimate moves already."
"I assume you're referring to that Kamehameha Wave attack, and that transformation we saw you do during the battle in Kamino?" Aizawa asked.
"Uh yes sir."
"You can show us later." Aizawa stated. "But for now, as I said before, change into your costumes and meet in Gym Gamma."
~Gym Gamma~
"Gym Gamma. Also known at the academy as the training, dinning land, or TDL." Aizawa stated.
"This facility was my idea. We can prepare unique terrains and obstacles for each student here, using my powers. Here you will learn to serve up justice, hence the name." Cementous explained.
"That's pretty cool." Kaminari said before Iida raised his hand.
"Please allow me a question. What is the advantage of having Ultimate Moves for the Provisional Exam? May we know your reasoning?" Iida questioned.
"That's two questions. Calm down. The job of a hero, is to save them from all sorts of dangers. Crime, accidents, and natural or man made disasters." Aizawa explained. "Of course the licensing exam analyses how well you're able to deal with such things. It won't just be fighting. You're ability to gather information and make quick decisions will be judged. In addition to how well you communicate, cooperate, and lead others. Every year, a new test is used to evaluate these qualities."
"One thing is especially important. If you want to be a Pro-Hero, you must be able to prevail in battle. If you're prepared you won't have to worry, and those of you with an ultimate move will have stronger results." Midnight explained.
"Your circumstances should not dictate the results of your future battles. Learn to be consistent and you will become a great asset on the front lines." Cementous added.
"You're Ultimate Move, doesn't necessarily have to be an attack. Take Iida's Recipro Burst for example." Ectoplasm said, surprising the student of the topic. "This sort of temporary boost in speed is valuable enough that it falls into the category of excellence that we're looking for."
"You mean I've been doing an ultimate move all along?" Iida asked, sounding touched.
"So it's basically our secret weapon, something that gives us the edge no matter who or what we're facing." Sato exclaimed.
"There's a smart boy." Midnight smirked. "For example, how Kamui Woods is able to use his Lacquered Chain Prison to capture opponents in an instant. That's exactly what we want to see."
"The training camp was interrupted, but the practice you did get in to develop your Quirks was needed to create these defining abilities." Aizawa stated. "Now that you're all caught up, you'll be working hard to develop powerful moves of your own for the next ten days or so. This is how you will spend the remainder of your summer vacation. Every one of you will get started on training for Ultimate Moves. An' if you need to make adjustments to your costumes to accommodate for your Ultimate Moves, then just go and talk with the support course."
"Yessir." The class saluted.
"Now get to work."
~Later~
"Regarding your costume improvements. Once you've figured out if anything needs to change, head to the development studio here. Get the experts to help you out, and give suggestions. They'll know what to do."
"That's what he said. So why are we going somewhere on the ground floor of the Support Course Tower?" Izumi questioned.
"Yeah, I'm wanting some help improving my costume as well."
"Agreed." Iida said.
"Alright, first off you three need to chill out. Second of all, we're heading to the best students the Support Course has to offer." Kaen said leading them through the hall, before stopping in front of a set of iron sliding doors.
"So this is it?" Izumi asked as Kaen opened the door.
"This is…"
KABOOM
The doors blasted open, with ash filled smoke coming out of the explosion, as Uraraka, Iida, and Izumi just stared on in shock.
"Kaen." Izumi called to him in concern.
The smoke began to clear as the lab was aired out, and revealed Kaen still standing, but with his arms wrapped around something now, and they all freaked when they saw who it was, and what Kaen's face was buried in.
"Oh hey Kaen, deciding to get a little naughty with me huh?" Hatsume smiled, removing her goggles.
"Nice to see you too Hatsume." Kaen said, pulling Mei off of him and putting her on the ground. "Is Athena in?"
"Damn it Hatsume, you nearly blew up the workshop again." Athena grumbled. "I know I'm not pregnant anymore, but that still doesn't give you automatic permission to mix every unstable compound you can find in the cabinets."
"Come on Athena, failure's the mother of inventions, Thomas Edison said something like that once." Hatsume said.
"I'm pretty sure that was William Horman." Kaen said. "Hey sis."
"Kaen, what brings you by again?" Athena asked, surprised to see him.
"Well, we're all wanting some improvements on our costumes done, so I brought them to the best team of Tech Engineers I know." Kaen said, showing Izumi, Uraraka, and Iida were off to the side.
"Oh, well come on in." Athena smiled. "Ruby, Jenny, we've got guests. Dust the soot off yourselves."
"Easier said than done Athena." Ruby called to her with a cough.
"Sorry about the mess. Hatsume's behavior has regressed a bit since I passed the triplets off to Tsuki, and she hasn't been as cautious." Athena said.
"Whoa, it's so big in here. It's like your own professional workshop." Uraraka gasped as they came in.
"The school had no real use for the rooms here on the ground floor bellow the actual workshops, so with approval from Principle Nezu, and some generous loans from Kaen for funding, the school allowed us to tear down some walls and turn four workshops into one, with each of us claiming a fourth of it for ourselves, at the same time the Dorms were being built. We still work as a team, but we generally keep to our own spaces for personal projects." Athena explained. "So what can I do for you all?"
"Wait a second, are they even allowed to make alterations to our hero costumes?" Iida questioned.
"Oh yeah, we're permitted. We just gotta send the proper paper work, and scans of the schematics to Power Loader before we can actually do anything off paper." Jenny said as she and Ruby came to greet them.
"It's boring as hell, but it's not too bad when you think about it." Ruby said.
Ruby's clothes hadn't changed all that much, except for the red tank top, being replaced with a black tube top, with her emblem in red on the right breast, and it seemed a bit small for her frame, as it made her chest pop. Jenny was in a similar situation as Ruby. Her clothes hadn't changed all that much, but her top had been switched out from a sports bra, to a sleeveless crisscross halter top.
"You're Tenya Iida right?" Athena asked, turning to Iida.
"Yes Ma'am. I am Tenya Iida, second son of the Iida Family."
"Alright, I'll handle whatever you need. The rest of you can decide who does work on the others equipment." Athena said leading Iida to her workspace in the workshop.
"Me, I wanna do it." Ruby said.
"Aw come on, let me do work on Kaen's equipment." Jenny said.
"Oh what about me? With so many ideas I have for equipment, we could make such powerful babies."
"Babies?" Izumi questioned with a blush.
"It's what she calls her inventions." Ruby said.
"How about we flip a coin?" Kaen asked, holding up a quarter. "First up, Ruby and Hatsume."
"Heads." Ruby called out.
"That means I've got tails." Hatsume smiled as Kaen flipped the coin.
"It's heads." Kaen said, catching the coin on his arm. "Izumi, you're more resilient and thick skinned then Uraraka, you go with Hatsume."
"Sure thing." Izumi said, heading off with the pink haired girl to her own workspace.
"Alright, now it's you and me Ruby." Jenny said. "Tails."
"Heads."
Kaen flipped the coin and once again caught it on his forearm.
"Heads again. Jenny, you've got Uraraka." Kaen said.
"Yes." Ruby cheered.
"Alright, let's go sister." Jenny smiled.
"Now you come follow me." Ruby said, grabbing Kaen's wrist and pulling him off to her area of the workshop.
Kaen could see Ruby wasn't the cleanest person when it came to maintaining her workspace, but she was a lot more clean and organized then Hatsume, that's for sure.
"So, what exactly are you looking for in an upgrade?" Ruby asked.
"Well, I'm looking for an upgrade in weaponry." Kaen said, putting his shield down on the workshop table. "I've got the retractable blades in my shield, but I'm needing something more, hands on, fisticuffs. The shield is great, but it doesn't always bounce right back to me and this thing isn't easy to replace, or it wasn't before Mina got her Duplication Void."
"Oh, all of us on Team Bolt have a Duplication Void." Ruby said.
"You do?" Kaen asked.
"Yeah, it's what allows us to keep track of materials we need, and to keep costs down when we need more. But if we need a material we've never had before, we simply just pass a piece around into our Duplication Voids once, and then they're up to date." Ruby explained. "But back on topic, I think I might know what you're missing."
"Really?"
"Check these bad boys out." Ruby said, putting a pair of heavy armored gauntlets on the workshop table.
"Whoa… these are…"
"My best inventions ever. They're fully automated, and can crush anything with a grip strength of 5,000 PSI."
"That's stronger then most industrial strength water cutters." Kaen said.
"You bet. These beauties are my masterpiece, my best work yet. They are…"
"Vi's Gauntlets of Bashing from the League of Legends show Arcane." Kaen said, interrupting Ruby.
"I guess you're a fan?"
"Watched the entire series multiple times. Not a big fan of how the sisters became enemies, kinda hits a few sore spots for me, but that's just how it is." Kaen stated.
"Well you got the gist of it." Ruby said.
"These aren't for me. Too big, too clunky. Vi might be my favorite character, but I'm not gonna imitate her." Kaen said. "I'm just wanting to change my suit enough to where I don't come across as a copycat of Captain America."
"Well, your fighting style if up close and personal right?" Ruby asked.
"Sort of. If the fight requires it I will put some distance between me and my opponent." Kaen explained.
"Hmm… then I might have a few ideas on how to help with that. Are you looking for anything in particular?"
"Anything with a blade would be preferable." Kaen said.
"Blades, alright. Give me a little bit, and I'll get back to you on whatever I have." Mina said.
Over with Hatsume and Izumi, the pink haired girl was busy taking the green haired girls measurements.
"Uh, is this really necessary?" Izumi inquired.
"Yes. If you're wanting me to make accurate gear to help you with being stronger, without breaking past your limits." Hatsume said.
"I suppose you're right. But All Might told me earlier that I need to stop trying to be like him, and figure out my own strategy." Izumi said.
"An' what's so wrong with that?" Hatsume questioned. "If you ask me, I'd say you're better off trying to develop your own style then imitating someone else's."
Over with Jenny, Uraraka was floating in the air while Jenny was scanning her.
"Well, it seems like there are a few things I could do to your costume to help. You're wanting to limit your sickness when you go overboard, right?" Jenny asked.
"That's right." Uraraka said. "Plus I'm wanting to stay in the air longer. The more I'm able to do that, the better I'll be able to incorporate the martial arts I learned during my internship before summer break."
"I see. Have you thought about including a capture tool into your gear? It should help with your martial arts more efficiently since you'll be weightless." Jenny said.
"I've thought about it, but I don't think now would be a good time to do that. I'm gonna be taking it a step at a time with me gear, until I feel I'm ready for it." Uraraka said.
"I got ya." Jenny chuckled. "But I do feel that I can make the adjustments you're looking for."
"Great." Uraraka smiled.
Over with Tenya and Athena, the Saiyan girl was busy writing down what Iida was telling her.
"So you're looking for a way to increase the efficiency of your radiator, while not hindering your speed at all." Athena said. "Is that the gist of it?"
"That would be correct."
"Well, one way to reduce over heating on your engines would be to slim down that armor of yours. The bulkier it is, the more heat is gonna build up in it and that won't be good, and I won't be able to do much in reducing your speed if you keep the armor as bulky as it is." Athena said. "I mean I can make something to increase your radiator's effectiveness ten fold, and allow you to use Recipro multiple times before overheating. But that would literally double the weight of your armor if nothing is done about its current size."
"But… I modeled this armor after my brothers." Iida said.
"That's good and all, but it's only a hindrance, your Quirks are too different."
"What do you mean?"
"Your engines are in your calves, which forces them to work a whole lot harder to carry your body, and your armor as you run. An' that bulky frame isn't really aerodynamic, even if the chest plate is designed to be. Your brothers engines were in his forearms, which made his speed easier to work with and increase as he ran, and for his armor to be carried better by his Quirk." Athena explained.
"I see what you mean. Because my engines are in my legs, I put more strain on them with the size of my armor, then my brother did with the engines in his arms."
"We can keep the overall design of the armor no problem, the issue is that we need to slim it down to make it work. An' I can make it out of a lighter, more durable material so it won't lose any protective attributes. In fact it would actually be stronger then before." Athena said.
Iida just looked at his armor, before looking up at Athena, a stern determined look on his face.
"Kaen said you're team is the best U.A's Support Course had to offer. So I trust your judgement. Do what you have to." Iida said.
"I'm glad you trust my brother's judgement." Athena smiled.
"He's my Class Rep. I would be remiss to just ignore his words without heading their merit firsthand." Iida said.
"He told me you were a stick in the mud." Athena snickered. "Alright, give me a day to put the paperwork through and I'll get started on building your new armor."
"Iida." Izumi called out running to him. "I need your help. You're the only one who can help me with this. I need you to train me, on how to use my legs, like you do."
"Seems like Izumi's found a new goal to train towards." Kaen chuckled.
"Great. I've got everything I need. I'll contact Mina and let her know to tell you when things are ready." Ruby smiled.
"I'll see you around then Ruby." Kaen said, heading off.
Returning to the dorms, Kaen changed out of his hero costume, and into some regular clothes. After cleaning himself up quickly, he took a seat on the couch, and began to meditate. Clearing his mind, Kaen could feel a connection to Eri, to Izumi, and to his father. All of the One-for-All Quirks, including his Saiyan's Wrath were connected and he could tell that it was because of the Quirks, he picked up from the One-for-All, Izumi carries.
Entering into the ethereal plane, Kaen followed the line that lead to Eri. He could feel her fear, her anxiety, her anger, but out of all of those, the one that stood out the most, was her courage. Following the line to the end, Kaen wrapped his corporeal arms around the ethereal Eri that was connected to his spirit, and held her close.
"Hold on Eri. I am going to save you. I promise. I just need you to hang on until I can find you." Kaen whispered into her ear, tears flowing down his face in anger.
Opening his eyes, Kaen found himself back in the dorm, but with Mina, Jiro, and Momo standing in front of him, with concern.
"Babe, are you alright?" Mina asked. "You were crying in your meditation."
"I'm fine." Kaen said getting up. "I managed to connect to Eri on the Ethereal Plane. I'm just angry that I'm so close, but I can't do anything to save her."
"Honey." Mina said. "I know how you must feel. But don't worry, you know Eri is strong. She's a brave girl, who follows her father's example."
"It's hard to believe, but at the start of all this, you were planning on sending her away to an orphanage or a foster family." Jiro said. "But look at you now. A devoted father, willing to do anything, to protect Eri and get her back safe and sound."
Kaen's head shot up hearing that, before turning to Jiro.
"What?"
"Fujio, Mina's dad. He said the same thing about himself." Kaen said. "He's so distrusting of me, because I'm related to Akuma, and believes me to be the bad guy in all this, that he doesn't see how villainous he's become."
"What's your point?" Momo asked.
"My point is, we need to find Fujio." Kaen said. "An' we need to make him work for us."
