UA's Saiyan Heroes
"Damn these past couple days were hella exhausting." Kaen groaned, sitting back on the couch in the common room of the Class-A Dorms.
"You're telling me." Mina said, sitting next to him. "First the invasion from Frostita yesterday, and then we all spent a whole day in the hospital after the safety commission revealed who passed the exams, receiving checkups to make sure we weren't infected with any alien pathogens, or suffering from unknown injuries."
"Not to mention the fact, I was hounded with questions by the media when I stepped foot out of the hospital." The Saiyan sighed. "An' after that, I was confronted by the Safety Commission about revealing a Government Secret, to the whole world."
"Hey, you couldn't have known the audio of the stadium was still connected to all broadcasting systems throughout the world." Mina said. "I mean, people are still reeling from finding out your connection with All Might, I doubt the fact that you're an alien among them is gonna register."
"Hey Kaen, got a minute?" Kirishima questioned.
"What's up man?" Kaen asked. "If you've changed your mind about asking Athena out, just because she's a different race then you entirely, then that's kinda…"
"No, it's not that." Kirishima said sitting on a different part of the couch across from them. "Back during the USJ. What exactly did Akuma do to Mina?"
"Ah, well he didn't give her the same Quirk as me." Kaen said.
"Akuma had actually changed my DNA, and turned me into a Saiyan." Mina said. "He'd planned on making me part of his harem of breeders to populate this planet with Saiyans, making it the new Saiyan Home World."
"You already knew Kaen wasn't human?" Kirishima asked.
"I found out when Akuma kept me hidden behind the throne of his flying fortress, as Kaen confronted him to save me, and that was when my DNA had already been changed from human to Saiyan." Mina stated.
"I guess that makes sense." Kirishima said.
"Athena already offered to change her back to human like she had with all Celeron's other kidnap victims, but Mina chose to remain a Saiyan, as there are barely a handful of us left in the universe." Kaen explained. "So if Mina and I ever decide to have more kids, they'll be pure blooded Saiyans."
"Speaking of… Would it be possible for Athena to change a human into a Saiyan?" Kirishima asked.
"You can't be serious Kirishima." Kaen said.
"I am."
"Hold up red." Mina stated. "I know this was forced on me, but I chose to remain a Saiyan. If you become one, it shouldn't be by a choice that you made on the fly. Think it through first."
"I didn't just think up this idea in a minute." Kirishima sighed. "I've actually been thinking about it since the invasion ended. An' I'm willing to become a Saiyan, and any children I have with Athena, if things work out between us, will remain pure blooded Saiyans as well."
"Kirishima, you should wait first." Kaen said. "Wait to see if things do work out between you two. If things look like they're going on that direction, then great, you just need to ask her to alter your DNA to that of a Saiyans before you two tie the knot."
"Oi, Yagi." Katsumi said, getting Kaen's attention.
"What's up Pomeranian?" Kaen questioned.
"I want you to take Deku and I to some place private. There's something the three of us need to discuss." Katsumi said.
"Alright, but where exactly are you wanting to go?" Kaen questioned.
"The flying city fortress above the U.A Grounds." Katsumi stated.
"Are you crazy? That place will attack us if we get near it." Kaen said.
"Just do it." Katsumi growled, before walking off, most likely to grab Izumi.
"Weird, she didn't curse you out when you called her Pomeranian." Mina said.
"Both her and Todoroki were the only ones in our class who didn't pass. They had let their personal feelings get in the way of fighting off Frostita's troops, so she could just be feeling glum about that." Kaen said, getting to his feet. "Call Mr. Aizawa and my dad, let them know what's going on."
Heading off for the front doors, Kaen found Izumi and Katsumi standing there waiting for him.
"Alright, let's get to it." Kaen sighed, taking each of them by a hand. "Izumi, if we die, blame Katsumi."
Taking off, Kaen tried to travel as carefully as he could to the troposphere. Sensing Katsumi and Izumi were having trouble breathing, Kaen quickly went to the flying fortress that Celeron came flying in on, during the USJ attack. Entering the atmosphere of the vessel, Kaen was surprised to find the ship wasn't attacking them, and that Izumi and Katsumi were starting to breathe better.
"That's interesting." Katsumi said.
"The ship probably has its own breathable atmosphere." Kaen guessed. "What's more interesting, is the fact the ship isn't attacking us at this moment."
"You think it has something to do with what happened last time you were here?" Izumi inquired.
"Maybe. I'll let you know when I find something." Kaen said.
Taking flight again, Kaen flew further down into the city, leaving Katsumi and Izumi by themselves.
"So, what were you wanting to talk about Kacchan?" Izumi questioned, not having a good feeling about this.
"I've been giving it a lot of thought." Katsumi said, looking over her shoulder at Izumi. "At first I thought it was the Monkey Girl and her Xerox Quirk and that's how you got your power. But then something you told me during one of our training sessions popped back into my head. You got your Quirk from All Might, didn't you? He gave you his power."
There was a tense moment of silence as Izumi just looked at Katsumi, a heavy weight sitting in the green haired girl's stomach.
"You're not trying to deny anything, which means I must be right." Katsumi said. "So say it."
Izumi remained quiet as she built up the nerve to say what Katsumi was requesting to hear, before finally she looked the ash blonde girl in her red eyes, and spoke up.
"Okay, what if it's true?" Izumi questioned.
"When you and I were kids, we both wanted to be like All Might, but I had the potential." Katsumi stated, her voice aggressively rising. "Yet somehow, a little nobody like you was singled out by the person I admired most. Probably helped that you were always hanging out with the monkeys. You probably knew All Might's true identity from the start."
"I've only known All Might was Kaen and Athena's father, for a year." Izumi sighed, her nervous feeling, starting to dwindle into annoyance.
"Doesn't matter. The point is, I didn't even realize what was going on, and that's why we're here." Katsumi stated, holding up her hand in a daring gesture. "We're settling this, right here, right now. Winner gets All Might's Quirk for themselves."
These words coming out of Katsumi's mouth shocked Izumi, as she was shaken to her core.
~Kaen~
"An' you're sure they're safe?" Toshinori questioned, communicating with Kaen via Scouters.
"Yeah dad, they're perfectly fine. The city has yet to attack any of us, and it's weird. Every time I tried coming up here, the city would attack me. I wonder what changed." Kaen stated, flying through the city.
"Where are you now son?"
"I'm making my way to the castle. I'm not seeing much of the damage caused by mine and Celeron's fight from the USJ Invasion." Kaen said.
"Reports did say the city appeared to have been repairing itself. Don't know where that extra mass comes from though." Toshinori stated. "So is Bakugo aware?"
"I think she managed to piece the puzzle of One-for-All together on her own." Kaen said, stopping in front of the castle doors.
"If that's the case then you've got my permission to tell her the truth behind Young Midoriya's power." Toshinori said.
"Thanks. An' I think it's best that I brought them here." Kaen sighed.
"Why's that?"
"Katsumi isn't really the chatty type. If she believes there's something to prove, and finish between her and Izumi, then she's gonna want a fight."
"I see what you're saying."
"I'm at the castle now. I'll call later with an update."
"Good luck kid."
Ending the call, Kaen put his Scouter away and pushed the doors open to access the main throne room, a place he did not have fond memories of, some he wishes he could forget.
"This place looks ancient." Kaen said looking it over. "If I had to guess, it was made by some race of aliens from thousands of years ago. But when they all perished, there was no one left to keep it running until Celeron…"
Kaen paused when he reached the throne. The throne his brother had sat on, with a curtain, draped from behind.
"That curtain, it doesn't look like it belongs here. It looks too new to be part of the structure." Kaen said, walking up behind the throne. "Let's see what Celeron was so eager to hide behind you."
Grabbing the curtain, Kaen pulled it down with a strong yank, revealing what was hidden behind, making his eyes go wide.
"Holy…"
KABOOM
"What was that?" Kaen questioned as he felt the ground shake. "Oh right, I almost forgot who else was up here on this flying fortress with me."
~Izumi & Katsumi~
"I win Deku." Katsumi growled.
Katsumi stood over Izumi, pulling one of the green haired girls arms back, while holding a hand, with a primed explosion ready to detonate, in her face, while stepping on her back.
"I won. But it wasn't a fair fight." The ash blonde stated, pulling back and dousing the explosion. "You were still holding back, and that wasn't fair."
"I didn't have a choice." Izumi said. "My body can't handle all of the power I was given. Not yet."
"That doesn't matter, you won't have to worry about that anymore. I won, now give me All Might's power." Katsumi said.
"I never agreed to that Kacchan." Izumi stated, getting to her feet. "So I won't be giving you One-for-All."
"I beat you, I proved I'm still better then you. Now give me his power damn it." Katsumi growled. "If I had been given that power in the first place, if I had been chosen by him, then he wouldn't have had to retire. If I had been stronger I wouldn't have been kidnapped by the villains. So just give me the damned Quirk now or I'll…"
"That's enough."
Katsumi and Izumi looked back to see Kaen standing there, a stern look on his face.
"You're not getting the power and that's final, Katsumi." Kaen stated, stepping up to them. "You've been blaming yourself for his forced retirement, but that's not true. This outcome would have happened whether you were nabbed by the villains at the training camp, or not. Once the power of One-for-All is passed down to a successor, it leaves the predecessor, and all that remains are embers that over time, will fade away. You are not to blame for what happened to my dad. You're beating yourself up over nothing. But you will not get the power Izumi possesses. You're not worthy of being its vassal."
"What the hell are you saying?" Katsumi questioned, as she began to break down emotionally. "Of course I'm worthy, I'm destined to be the next Number One Hero."
"No, you're not worthy of the power of One-for-All." Kaen stated. "But you don't need it. You're strong enough as you are. An' if you keep improving yourself, keep driving yourself forward, then you're gonna be able to do a great many things as a hero. You just need to believe in yourself to make it happen. Come on, let's go back to the dorms. I can clear things up there."
~Dorm Medical Office~
"An' you told her everything?" Toshinori asked, finishing up his conversation with Kaen.
"I did. She seemed to take it well." Kaen said. "Though she still feels a bit guilty about what had happened."
"I should have seen the signs. As her teacher…"
"Dad it's fine. You couldn't have known she was feeling this way. So now they gotta face their grounding and deal with the consiquences." Kaen stated. "But if it makes you feel any better, the opportunity did help me to learn something about that flying fortress."
"What did you find out?" Toshinori asked.
"This. An image carved into the stone behind the throne. I think Celeron was trying to hide it." Kaen said, holding up his phone, and showing an image he took of the throne room with it.
Looking at the photo, Toshinori's eyes widened when he saw what looked like a beastly Saiyan, holding up a shield in one hand, like he was facing to his right, with a larger figure in the background, looking like a more demonic Frost Demon, and in the background, were a group of four horned aliens, worshiping an artifact of some sort like it was some sort of religious idol, held in the hands of what looked like a priestess in the three that had more detail then those in the background. The image itself was blurred a bit, due to poor lighting, and the camera angle, but Toshinori could definitely see a shield on the right arm of the Saiyan, as well as a single angelic wing sprouted from the same side shoulder.
"That's incredible." Toshinori said.
"My guess is, that flying city up in the atmosphere, is some sort of temple meant to be for worshiping this Saiyan Deity depicted in the Petroglyph." Kaen said.
"An image of a Saiyan comprised of divine origin, fighting some sort of demonic being." Toshinori said. "Seems like this hunch of yours might be more then that."
"I'm hoping it's nothing more then that. After school tomorrow I'm gonna return to the castle and try to figure out more. I was thinking of bringing Athena and her Support Course Team with me to give me a hand."
"Might wanna go on another day. You've got a meeting to attend tomorrow, remember?" Toshinori asked.
"Right, how could I forget who I'm supposed to be meeting tomorrow?" Kaen sighed.
"You sure you wanna go through with his?" Toshinori inquired.
"I don't wanna, but I gotta." Kaen stated. "It's about time I talked things out with him, no matter how much he hates my guts."
~Café Fairy: After Classes~
The sun was shining through the clouds, and the scent of summer rain hung in the air as Kaen made his way to the cafe he had planned his visit at. Reaching the corner across the street from the café, the Saiyan saw Mecheal, Arcane, and Fujio sitting at a table.
"How in the hell, did Mecheal convince Fujio to agree to a meet up?" Kaen questioned, before crossing the street, heading for the cafe, and reaching the table. "Sorry I'm late. Had a bit of trouble last night."
"Oh hell no." Fujio growled, putting his menu down. "No fucking way am I having a meeting with the bastard alien who's got my wife and daughter brainwashed under his control."
Kaen was shocked, he was expecting to see the monstrous form that Tsuki had said Fujio had taken after his escape from prison, but here he was looking just as normal, and human as ever. But he'd put that on the back burner for now.
"I take it neither of you told him I was gonna be here?" Kaen asked, looking to Mecheal and Arcane.
"I might have told him, that I wanted to have a chat with him, father to son, with Arcane accompanying to ensure he didn't try anything funny." Mecheal said, his two fingers glowing purple as he flicked them down.
"What the? Why can't I move?" Fujio questioned, unable to move from his seat.
"Some weeks ago, you managed to make your way into the Lookout and grabbed Eri, while Arcane and I were not around to protect her." Mecheal stated. "Where is she?"
"Eri is back with her actual father, and not the monster that kidnapped her." Fujio growled, glaring at Kaen.
"Fujio, let me ask you." Kaen began. "Did you happen to see the scars on Eri's arms and legs at all?"
"Yeah, the marks you left on her for your own sick pleasure." Fujio stated, spitting in Kaen's face. "Go fuck yourself to hell you damned dirty primate."
"Okay, I can see we're not going to get anywhere with this." Kaen sighed, wiping the spit away with a napkin. "You're lucky my mom used a vaccination Quirk on me to give me and my sister both the strongest immune systems in the world. She even did that for Mina, and Eri. So any STD you might have spat on me, won't do shit and will be purged. Good try though."
"Like I said, go fuck yourself."
"I didn't leave those scars on her Fujio." Kaen stated. "I rescued her from the man who did. The man you delivered her too, even though she is now completely useless to him."
"Fujio! Ever since you brought Eri to Chisaki, have you even been able to see her? Have you been able to make sure she's okay, been fed properly, bathed properly?" Arcane asked.
"Son I've been polite and have restrained from forcefully extracting the information that we require out of you, but if you continue to refuse to give us what we want to know, I will leave you as nothing more, then a vegetable who requires round the clock medical attention." Mecheal stated.
"You would do that to your own son?" Fujio questioned.
"I stopped considering you my son, the moment you killed your own wife." Mecheal growled, letting his true, scarred face show to Fujio as he looked like he wasn't playing around. "The only damn reason she's still alive right now, is due to Athena, Kaen's sister, giving Tsuki's Quirk Genes a jumpstart with Xerox."
Fujio gulped, never having seen this side of his father before, and knew he was serious. Letting out a sigh of defeat, Fujio growled, before his body began to grow and change, turning into the beastly form Tsuki had described, showing Kaen what the man had managed to make himself. But despite all that, he was still restrained to his chair by Mecheal's powers.
"Do your worst." Fujio growled. "You can't do shit, to the mind of a Chimera like me."
"Is that what you call yourself now? You've truly left your humanity behind, all because you couldn't stand the thought of your daughter growing up and leaving you." Mecheal sighed. "You truly are a despicable person."
"I did this to myself, to be able to fight back against the bastard, who stole my family from me. If anything, this is all his fault." Fujio glared.
"Surprising that you're not actually causing a panic." Kaen said, before looking to Mecheal. "You're doing?"
"Psychic barrier. Anyone within range only sees what I want them to see." Mecheal said.
"I truly wish it hadn't come to this Mecheal." Arcane said solemnly. "But it would appear he's left us with no other choice."
"Now Fujio, whether you open your mind to me or not, won't matter." Mecheal stated, his eyes glowing purple, with Fujio, Arcane, and Kaen's doing the same as he linked them all together to see into Fujio's mind.
In what felt like an instant, Kaen found himself standing next to Mecheal and Arcane, in an empty void.
"The mindscape?" Kaen asked.
"Where else?" Mecheal chuckled, snapping his fingers with multiple doors coming on either side of the group, stretching for miles. "Now, where to start?"
"I think we should start with ones involving Eri." Arcane said. "But we gotta hurry, I can't be away from the lookout for too long."
"Good call." Mecheal said, wiping his hand like he was swiping a screen, making the doors rotate before he stopped on three sets of doors with chains locking them. "Hmm, seems like these are memories he's trying to suppress."
"How can you tell?" Kaen asked.
"Everyone has their own unique way if repressing memories. Fujio's always been one to use chains as a means of holding something back, and locking it away." Mecheal explained, snapping his fingers, and breaking the chains. "Let's get too it."
Opening the center door, the trio walked in, a bright flash of light enveloping them as they were brought into the memory, before everything cleared up and they found themselves standing in the middle of what looked like an operating room.
"Where are we?" Kaen asked.
"Looks like the place that Fujio got his operation done, that turned him into a Chimera." Arcane said. "Take a look."
Mecheal and Kaen looked straight ahead and gasped when they saw Fujio strapped to a chair, his wrists tied down and a mask over his face, and caged animals behind the chair.
"An' you're sure this will help me become stronger, Shou Tucker?" Fujio questioned, seemingly to look right at them.
Kaen was confused, until someone walked through him and up to Fujio, with a dog like beast accompanying him.
"Oh, I'm positive you'll be an unstoppable beast by the end of this." Shou Tucker said, a gleam over the lenses of his glasses. "An' please, just call me Tucker."
"Daddy… we play now?" The dog creature asked.
"Not now Nina. Go and play with Eri, I'm sure she's having trouble readjusting to being back here." Tucker said.
"Get me out of here." Kaen said, as they witnessed Tucker beginning his pain inducing work on Fujio. "Get me the fuck out of Fujio's head."
Mecheal and Arcane looked at him, and saw the horrified and angered expression, before Arcane grabbed his shoulder, and Kaen instantly found himself back out in the real world.
"Kaen are you…"
Arcane was unable to finish her question as Kaen got up and ran to a trashcan, relieving his stomach of its contents as the wretched at the horrid memory of what had happened to Fujio, and of that chimera who called Tucker, daddy.
"Hey, take it easy. It can be a little gut wrenching to experience a mind merger like that at first but…"
"That's not why I wanted to leave." Kaen said, taking his seat. "That dog Chimera. She called that madman, daddy. Which means one of two things. Either he's a giant pervert and turned a young woman he sleeps with into a Chimera and has her call him that as some sort of sick kink, or she's his daughter and he turned her into a Chimera. But for some reason, I can't get the name Shou Tucker out of my head, like I've heard it somewhere before."
"Sounds like you might have." Arcane stated, calling a waiter over. "Hi, I'll order three of your finest cakes please. Not slices, the full cakes."
"Anything to drink?" The waiter asked.
"I'll have the Strawberry Banana Smoothie with two servings of green apple jelly." Kaen said.
"An' I'll have the iced tea." Arcane said.
"Your drinks will be out shortly." The waiter said.
"You know, I'd have thought people would have been a bit more, aggressive towards you after you had practically told a state secrete to the entire world." Arcane said.
"Oh trust me, there are plenty of people who wish they could kill me." Kaen said. "I passed by several of them on the way here. But they don't want to attack me, because they're scared."
"Scared of what?" Arcane asked.
"Who knows? Scared of what I could do in retaliation, scared of what authorities might do since I'm a legal citizen? Or perhaps scared of invoking the wrath of All Might, since I am his kid, via adoption." Kaen theorized.
"Silent judgement can sting something fierce." Arcane sighed.
"No kidding." Kaen sighed. "Worst part is, David Shield's assistant, was the first to show his hate and even attempted to keep us hostage because he wanted to use us to get rich after some research. He was someone Uncle David trusted, but all he cared about was the money."
"Sounds like he had some financial issues if he was willing to betray David like that." Arcane said.
"By the way, when Mecheal helped me figure out why Wukong looked just like me in the painting, he mentioned a bamboo box that was impossible to open." Kaen said.
"Ah, I thought you might ask about that some day." Arcane said, reaching for her purse as their drinks came out.
"Enjoy." The waiter said, before leaving.
Kaen just looked at their drinks, before sighing in defeat.
"Something wrong with your drink?" Arcane asked.
"Yeah, they didn't serve me the drink I ordered. Instead they served me a smoothie cup full of dirty dish water with chunks of washed off food, with a note that says, go back to your own damn planet you fucking alien." Kaen said, showing her the note.
"Oh for the love of…" Arcane groaned, grabbing the cup and getting up from her seat, before she put the bamboo box in front of him. "This is the box. Try to open it if you can, while I go have a chat with the waitstaff."
"Arcane wait…" Kaen tried to stop her, but she was already gone. "An' she's left."
Looking down at the box, Kaen did notice that the box was comprised of some rather sturdy looking bamboo, but the front looked like it could move around a bit.
"Hmm… I wonder." He thought, before sliding a piece. "Aha, I knew it. A sliding puzzle. All I gotta do is solve it, and whatever's inside will be set free."
Looking up to call for Arcane, Kaen stopped when he noticed her giving their waiter the Riot Act, complaining about his drink and how rude and disrespectful it was for them to have done this. When the waitstaff manager tried to calm her down, Arcane just turned her rage on him, and started berating him on allowing his waitstaff to be so offensive and insensitive, before she actually tossed the dishwater in their waiters face.
"Oh, she is not having any of it." Kaen said.
Turning back to the box on his hands, Kaen did a double take when he saw that the box was gone.
"Who the hell could have managed to take it?" Kaen questioned, looking around before noticing someone walking off with it, then stopped to look back at him.
"You want this back, you alien freak? Then come and get it." The man said.
"Gah, my nerves are really being tested today." Kaen growled, getting up from his seat and going after the man who stole the box, only for him to take off sprinting. "Get back here you jackass." He called to the thief as he put on his Scouter shades.
Making a hard right turn, Kaen left scuff marks on the sidewalk as he ran after the thief. He knew that since the man didn't use his Quirk, he couldn't use his abilities either. He'd get arrested for sure if he used his powers, even if they weren't his Quirk.
"Try and catch me if you can freak." The thief called to Kaen, running into an alley.
Turning into the alley, Kaen saw the thief climbing up a fire escape ladder.
"Damn it." Kaen growled. "Not this time ass hat."
Taking a few steps back, Kaen took a running start before he jumped and planted his feet on one of the walls. Quickly, without thinking, Kaen leapt up to the other wall, performing the Ninja jump from his skills in parkour. It was moments like this, that reminded him why he was thankful to Toshinori for signing him up for those lessons that taught him not to rely on his power alone, and use what was around him when the situation called for it.
Just as the thief made it to the roof, Kaen leapt from the wall and tackled the thief from behind, rolling across the rooftop surface and grabbed the box, before getting back to his feet, in a three point stance, with the box tucked into his arm.
"You told me to catch you, and I did." Kaen said, coming to the thief and putting his foot on his back to pin him down. "Now we're gonna wait here, until the authorities arrive."
"Too bad all they're gonna find is your corpse." The thief spat.
Raising his head, Kaen sensed the Ki of someone wishing him harm coming up from behind him, and quickly ducked down to evade a swing from a baseball bat, before jumping back and stopping a few feet away from the thief.
"So, stealing the box was just a ploy to lure me out here huh?" Kaen asked, pushing his Scouter shades back up to cover his eyes. "Let me guess, go home to my own damn planet?"
"You got that right you alien freak." The man with the baseball bat stated, as three more people came out with weapons, ready to attack him. "We don't want you here on our planet, so get lost and return to the damned dirt rock you came from."
"I'd love too, except I can't." Kaen stated. "For several reasons, the main one being, my home planet was destroyed, when I was barely a day old. I only survived do to a last minute escape."
"Don't care. Get the fuck off our planet and go to any other planet you like, just stay away from this one." One of the attackers said.
"Yeah see here's the thing." Kaen sighed. "I'm not leaving. I was raised on this planet for as long as I can remember. It's the only home I know, and I'm not gonna be bullied off of it just because you don't like that I'm here."
"Then we've got ourselves a problem." The thief said, pulling out his own weapon, a serrated back hunting knife. "Because either you get off our planet, or you and the rest of your family who isn't All Might, are gonna die."
"Excuse me?" Kaen questioned, forwarding his brow as he felt his anger grow. "You wanna repeat that threat again?"
"You heard me. Either get the fuck off our planet, or you will watch as everyone you love and care about, gets murdered right before your eyes, right after we rough you up enough to where you're at death's door."
"Hmm… see here's the thing." Kaen said, before he vanished, leaving his jacket behind as it ruffled in the wind, with the bamboo box wrapped inside it. The thief looked stunned that Kaen vanished, before he was bent over with Kaen's hand, wrist deep into his gut. "You just gave me the perfect alibi to present to the police to justify using my power against you."
(Cue Music… I'm Dangerous: Everlove)
Jumping back, Kaen thrust his leg upwards and struck the thief on the underside of the jaw with his knee, causing his jaw to audible crack, and for his knife to be thrown in the air. He turned back to the remaining muggers, who noticed he was no longer wearing his Scouter shades.
"Threatening my family…" Kaen began, swiping his arm to the side, catching the knife by the sharp edge of the blade between his thumb and middle finger. "Give me plenty of reason to fight back."
"Get him." The man with the baseball bat cried out, swinging at him from behind.
Throwing the blade into the air, Kaen ducked down bending forward, before back flipping through the air, his hands gripping the big guys shoulders, before his feet were planted on the guys back. Without warning, Kaen kicked with his right leg extending, sending the man flying to the other side of the roof, hitting the structure the door was attached to.
At the same time, one of the attackers, wearing brass knuckles, came charging at Kaen. It was simple childs play for him to dodge the man's punches as he just stood there with his hand open, expecting one of them to put up more of a fight. Moving his arm back to punch, Kaen felt some resistance as something grabbed his leg, before he looked down and saw one of the shorter statured attackers, holding him down. With his back turned, the man with the brass knuckles came up from his blind spot, ready to hit him with a closed fist back handed strike.
Kaen saw the attack coming, and seconds before the attacker swung, Kaen bent backwards with his arms up and hands planted on the ground, causing the attacker to look down right before he was kicked on the underside of the jaw, his body arching through the air as his glasses were knocked off his face with the lenses cracked.
Using forward momentum, Kaen used both his legs to wrap around the shorter attacker who was holding him down, and performed the windmill, bouncing the attacker between his feet like a soccer ball before he kicked him in the stomach, practically impaling him with his right foot, and began to spin on his hands, picking up speed before he flipped forward, slamming his foot, and the short statured assailant, down on the brass knuckle attacker, causing them both to groan in pain from the impact.
Landing back on the ground, Kaen sensed the energy of the baseball bat user, and the fifth attacker coming up from behind, with the fifth having a chain with a weighted end. However, Kaen easily moved to be standing between the two, where their attacks couldn't hit him, and slapped them both on the back, sending them forward. Getting their bearings back, both attackers continued to swing their weapons at Kaen, to which the Saiyan easily dodged and blocked the strikes, before he moved out of the way and vanished, causing the baseball bat, to hit the chain wielder in the face.
"Shit, I'm sorry. Bastard's too slippery." The baseball bat wielder said.
"Behind you."
The baseball bat wielder was unable to act, as Kaen appeared behind him from out of nowhere and slammed his fists clenched into one, into the back of the assailants neck, and knocked him down and out cold.
(End Song…)
All that remained standing was the chain wielder, and Kaen didn't really need to do much as he just took a step forward and slammed his knee into the man's torso, knocking him to the ground, foaming at the mouth.
"An' that, is why you never threaten a man's family." Kaen said, catching the knife in his hand and throwing the blade into the stone surface he stood on.
Heading back to where the box and his jacket landed, Kaen sighed in annoyance before grabbing his Scouter from where he left it, on a light post at an angle that had a perfect view of the whole fight.
"I'd better call the cops, let them know what happened, and show them the proof." Kaen said. "I hope Arcane and Mecheal are doing alright without me."
~Later~
"That was stupid and reckless Kaen." Arcane said, standing next to Mecheal as she was scolding the Saiyan. "I'm glad you were smart enough to record the whole situation with your Scouter so you had evidence for the police, but you could have at least let me know about it. When I got back to the table, I was so worried about you."
"I'm fine Arcane, seriously I didn't get hurt and I didn't cause too much damage to my attackers. They're just unconscious… with a few cracked bones and minor internal bleeding." Kaen stated.
"Regardless, Arcane accompanied us for a reason Kaen." Mecheal sighed, as Kaen pulled out his phone, after feeling it go off. "Look, I got the information we needed from Fujio. I even managed to figure you where Eri's being held. But nothing can be done, not until an official case is opened up with a hero agency, and a raid on the Hassaikai is done with the evidence to back it up and make the raid a legitimate act of hero work. Even with your provisional license, you don't have the proof required to go after him. Are you even listening to me? Because it just looks like you're on your phone."
"I'm listening. But I think I might be able to get Eri back sooner then later." Kaen said, showing them his phone screen, and reading the E-Mail he received.
*"Provide Eri's Rewind Quirk to me, and you will have her returned without any harm having come to her. ~Overhaul."*
"How the hell did this bastard get your E-Mail?" Arcane inquired.
"I don't know, but I do know his word cannot be trusted." Kaen said.
"Agreed. If Fujio's memories were anything to go by, Overhaul is an eel with his own agenda he prioritizes over anything else." Mecheal stated.
"So what do we do now?" Arcane asked.
"Now, we get to work on finding a way to rescue Eri. An'… I don't wanna talk to him, but I think I know who might be able to help." Kaen sighed.
"Who?" Mecheal asked.
"He's someone who's already opened a case against Chisaki and the Hassaikai. From time to time, he's recruited me into helping his investigations until my dad told him to stop putting my life at risk when I wasn't even in high school yet." Kaen stated.
"Wait… you don't mean who I think you're talking about, do you?" Arcane asked.
"I need to ask Sir Nighteye for help."
