UA's Saiyan Heroes
"Um, excuse us."
Kaen stopped and turned around to see a couple of girls, wearing middle school uniforms. They seemed kinda young, so he assumed they were first years in middle school.
"Can I help you?" Kaen asked.
"Are you, the Saiyan Hero everyone's been talking about? You're name's Super Saiyan, right?"
"That's me." He confirmed.
"Um, we were just wondering if we could get a picture with you, and maybe your autograph?" One of them asked.
"Of course." Kaen smiled.
Using his tail, Kaen took one of the girls phones as it was set up with the camera already, and positioning the girls in front of him, the girls both held up double peace signs as they smiled, while Kaen held up one, and put his other fist on his hip with his shield out and present in the picture, right as the camera flashed and snapped.
"That was amazing." One of the girls said, as Kaen signed a piece of paper for each of them.
"Thank you so much." The other said, before they left.
"Glad to see not everyone thinks I'm a menace, just because I'm from a different planet." Kaen smiled.
"So, I understand how you know Sir Nighteye, but why exactly do the two of you go at each other like territorial animals?" Bubble-Girl asked, getting Kaen back on track.
"It's a bitter memory I don't like talking about." Kaen said. "But long story short, he looked into my future, and what he saw, he used as justified means to try and stop a search and rescue manhunt for me when one of All-for-One's cronies kidnapped me when I was ten."
"I guess you never thought the secret of your existence would come out, the way it did."
"It was my own fault. I had only intended on telling those in the gathering hall of the Provisional Exams, but it was spread world wide, because Frostita kept the systems active and connected across the globe." Kaen said.
"Still, you saved a lot of people that day. You should be proud of yourself for…" Bubble-Girl stopped, when Kaen's phone began to go off.
"Sorry Bubble-Girl, I gotta take this." Kaen said, answering the call through his Scouter Shades. "Hello, this is… Jack hold up, why are you calling me? How did you even get this number? Of course it's important I know how, you can't just… You were visited by who? Alright, calm down, I can't talk right now. Give me another call in about 2hours. I'll be able to talk then."
"Something wrong?" Bubble-Girl asked.
"You could say that." Kaen groaned. "Look, for about a year before I started attending U.A, I was… doing less then legal fights for an underground fight club, to earn a little extra cash, before I gained the title of Kaioh Emperor, and won the fortune that came with the name."
"You… in an underground fight club?" Bubble-Girl asked.
"Yep, and that was the fight promoter Jack, calling to let me know someone was looking for Saiya, my counterpart for the fight club." Kaen said.
"So, you just took the n out of Saiyan, and used that as your name?" Bubble-Girl inquired.
"Pretty much. The fight was filled with Quirk users, but I never once used my powers in any of my fights, I just used my natural strength, speed, and agility." Kaen said.
"Well, I'll have to notify Sir about this, and speaking of. While you were having your little chat, I got a call from him, telling us to regroup."
"Then let's go." Kaen said.
~Shie Hassaikai~
"The young people today are sicker then ever." Overhaul stated, walking through the corridors of the underground facility of the Hassaikai, with Chrono carrying a struggling Eri. "Kurono prepare the bath."
"Yes sir."
"I'm real sorry, Boss. I swear, I barely took my eyes off her." The Yakuza in charge of watching Eri, said as Overhaul walked past him. "The kid made a break for…" He was unable to finish as the Yakuza boss used his Quirk on him, killing the man there in front of Eri, and splattering the wall with blood.
"An' clean that up."
"Right." Kurono acknowledged.
"This is maddening." Overhaul said. "They're all infected with Hero Syndrome."
"What should we do about Eri now?" Kurono asked, using his Quirk to make Eri slower.
"She knew what would happen if she were to try and make another escape attempt. I gave her plenty of warnings since she was brought back, but now she's taken it too far, by getting hero students involved." Overhaul stated. "Take her to Tucker. Tell him to have his fun, but don't do anything to kill her. She can still be useful to us after he's done with her once we get Rewind back from that punk who took her."
~Nighteye Team~
"Hey, sorry we're late." Bubble-Girl said. "Someone had to stop for soda."
"Hey, I have a serious metabolism. Give me a break." Kaen said, drinking a Dr. Pepper. "So, what's the call back for?"
"Deku and I had a bit of a run in with Chisaki." Togata said, causing Kaen to spit take.
"You what?" The Saiyan asked, after regaining his breath.
"Sorry Sir, it was a total oops." Togata continued, turning to look at Nighteye. "I mean wow, what are the odds of randomly running into a target on the street like that?"
"Higher then you'd think." Kaen said.
"No, I must accept responsibility." Nighteye said. "I should have used Foresight on you two, it's my fault."
"Since when can you use it on more then on person?" Kaen asked.
"Since Athena upgraded it for me at my behest to help teach her to control Xerox. I can now use it more then once a day, and on multiple people." Nighteye said.
"I'm just glad you two are okay." Bubble-Girl said, after calming down from the information. "You could have been in danger if he'd suspected something."
"It didn't feel all that scary to me." Izumi said.
"Chisaki and his gang were recently involved in a traffic accident caused by a group of hoodlums. Which isn't remarkable in and of itself." Nighteye said, pushing his glasses up. "Except, there were zero casualties. The thieves experienced intense pain, and lost consciousness, but they were uninjured, and even reported that preexisting ailments like rheumatism and cavities were completely gone."
"Let me guess, the authorities believed Chisaki's Quirk was the cause?" Kaen asked.
"But with the villains caught, and nobody harmed, there was no crime to accuse him of." Nighteye continued.
"The money that was stolen, got burned up in the fire caused by the accident, so there wasn't anything left to recover." Bubble-Girl said. "The police didn't find any sign of a crime in that regard either, but the whole thing seemed suspicious so the Nighteye Agency began watching the Hassaikai closer then we previously were. We haven't figured out what it is yet, but we know they're up to something."
"Oh I forgot. Sir." Togata said. "We got lucky, at least a little. Our brief encounter yielded some new intel."
"Hold on Lemillion." Izumi said, stopping Togata from reporting this new intel, before looking right at the Saiyan of the group. "Kaen, we found her. She had escaped Chisaki's clutches, for a little while at least."
Kaen looked right at Izumi his eyes widening with hope, as he dropped his drink and grabbed Izumi by the arms.
"You saw her? Is she alive, is she okay?" Kaen asked.
"Super Saiyan, what are you doing?" Bubble-Girl asked.
"She's alive, she's a bit malnourished, but she doesn't seem to be in any immediate danger, though she did have bandages wrapped around her arms and legs again." Izumi said.
"Lemillion. What's this new intel?" Nighteye asked.
"Chisaki has a daughter." Togata said.
"A daughter?" Nighteye questioned.
"Her name was…"
"Eri." Kaen said, interrupting Togata. "Her name's Eri, and she's not his daughter."
"How can you be certain she's not his?" Togata asked.
"Izumi…"
"Kaen, please stay calm." Izumi said, feeling the power radiating off him.
"Where is she, where did he take her?" Kaen asked.
"Kaen please." Izumi pleaded, trying to keep Kaen calm.
"Where is my daughter? Why didn't you bring her back?" Kaen questioned, his face etched with pained anger.
This sudden news of Eri being his daughter, shocked Nighteye, Bubble-Girl, and Togata, as Kaen fell to his knees, with Izumi still holding him in her arms.
"Why didn't you bring her back to me, when she was right there in your arms?" Kaen sobbed.
"I'm sorry Kaen." Izumi said, wrapping her arms around his shoulders in a hug. "I wanted to, I really did. But Lemillion had me play along with Chisaki and keep a low profile. We were gonna make a run for it when he had us follow him into an alleyway, but when he started taking off his gloves, Eri jumped out of my arms, and ran back to Chisaki, to stop him from using his Quirk."
"Deku tried explaining to me who she was, but… I stopped her as I pulled her cowl over her face, to hide it from Chisaki when he came by. I'm sorry, I didn't know she was…"
Togata was stopped, when Kaen punched him in the face, and sent the upper classman to the ground.
"You should have been more aware of what was going on." Kaen said, grabbing Togata by the front of his suit. "It didn't matter if you didn't know. You should have noticed her behavior, her body language. Was she scared, was she hurt, how did she react when Overhaul approached you? Was she asking for help, or was she too frightened to talk? The little details are what make or break the differences in a hero's job. Being more aware of these things, can mean the difference, in a life or death situation."
"Kaen, please stop this, he didn't know." Izumi said, trying to get Kaen to let go of Lemillion.
"Saving people, no matter the cost, is what makes a true hero. Even if that includes jeopardizing an undercover operation that took a year to put together." Kaen said, throwing Togata to the ground. "You don't deserve to call yourself a hero, if you allowed for Overhaul to take Eri back so easily." He stated, just as an explosion went off behind the group.
Kaen turned around as the few people that were there, began running and screaming in panic, as the villain who caused the explosion, was waltzing down the street.
"Tremble, and fear me mortals. For I am no mere man, but a God among you. I am Surtur." The flaming man said, before spotting the group of heroes. "Ah, mortals who are a worthy challenge for…"
"Piss off." Kaen growled, his hair taking on an icy blue tint, taking a single step towards Surtur, with ice traveling along the ground, before dousing the flames of his body and enveloping the Villain in a black colored iceberg. The temperature had dropped so much, it ended up freezing the rain around them, leaving only Surtur's face as the only thing unfrozen.
"C-cold. So cold." Surtur shivered, his teeth chattering. "Y-you cannot be a mortal. You must be my eternally sworn enemy, Ymir."
"You need professional help asshole." Kaen said, the icy tint in his hair vanishing. "I think I'm done for the day."
Without saying another word, Kaen took to the air, and took off in the direction of U.A, while the Nighteye Agency were still stunned into silence from the impossible feat, Kaen had just demonstrated in front of them.
"The hell just happen?" Nighteye questioned.
"I think… Kaen's power might be evolving." Izumi said.
~Class-A The Next Day~
"Whoa, what's with Bakugo?" Mina asked, spotting Katsumi all battered and bruised. "Has she been fighting again?"
"She's not the only one all beaten up. Take a look at the back of the class." Kaminari said.
"Oh my gosh, who would do something like this?" Mina questioned.
"Those remedial classes are hardcore."
"But I bet they're a great workout." Mina said, excitedly. "Hey, where's Kaen? I haven't seen him since before he left for the Nighteye Agency yesterday."
"He's… probably not gonna be back for a while." Izumi said.
"Why not?"
"We had a little bit of a run in with Overhaul yesterday, me and Togata." Izumi said. "An', Eri was running from him."
"You found Eri?" Mina asked, getting in her face. "Is she okay? Is Kaen staying at the hospital with her?"
"She's not at the hospital." Izumi said. "Things were slowly escalating, but Overhaul didn't seem to recognize me, so he acted like Eri's father. Togata fell for the act, and had me play along to keep things from getting out of hand. But when Overhaul started removing his gloves, Eri ran out of my arms, and returned to his side, most likely in an attempt to keep him from using his Quirk on us. When we reported in after regrouping, Kaen punched Togata in the face and… demonstrated some insane ability I've only seen Todoroki perform."
"What did he do?" Mina asked.
"There was a villain attack, he was insane and called himself Surtur, and Kaen… froze him in a block of black ice." Izumi said.
"Ice? But how can that be, Todoroki's the only one in our class who can use ice." Yang said.
"It might have been a technique with his Ki." Katsumi said, making a cover story since she knew the truth about Kaen's Quirk. "Think about it, there was plenty of water yesterday as it had been raining, so he might have been able to use his Ki to turn the water into Ice. None of us knows the full extent to a Saiyans power, or the full extent on how Ki manipulation really works."
"You make a fair point." Mina said. "But it could also be an ice based Quirk, Athena gave him. Until we ask him, we won't know for certain."
"Unfortunately, you won't get the chance for asking him that." Aizawa said, coming into the classroom. "After yesterdays events, he's gone off the grid, completely vanished."
"That explains why he didn't come in last night." Mina said.
"Or why he's late to class." Iida said. "Yagi's never usually this late."
"Either way, we know it's nothing related to the League of Villains." Aizawa stated. "We spoke with All Might about this behavior of his sons, and he said that disappearances like this are normal for him when he gets really upset. He also said, Yagi will show himself again within a couple days up to a week. So his absences will be excused."
"An' you can bet he'll catch up on all his missed school work within a couple hours of getting it." Mina said. "I've seen how he studies, he's a beast when it comes to his school work when he puts his mind to it."
"But… what about the double date this weekend?" Izumi asked, sounding sad as she poke her pointer fingers together.
"He'll be back in time for it. You of all people should know how that guy likes to keep his promises." Katsumi tsked. "Just shut up about that, it's so annoying."
"Be that as it may, we do have a class to keep scheduled to." Aizawa said. "So everyone quiet down, and in your seats."
As the class progressed, Izumi couldn't help but think about where Kaen might be, and where he might be able to find him.
~Togata~
Mirio Togata just sat in his classroom, his usual smile not present as his thoughts were all muddled up, and couldn't stop thinking about what had happened between him and his underclassman, who demonstrated a power he'd never thought possible for the Saiyan.
"Hey, hey Togata." Nejire said, poking his cheek, making him wince. "Sorry."
"It's fine. What's up?" Togata asked, looking to the other two of the Big3 as they stood by his desk.
"We were just wondering, how you got that injury on your cheek." Nejire said. "Did you run into another wall again?"
"No, nothing like that." Togata said, trying to sound like his usual self, but couldn't.
"Well something's obviously bothering you, and we're here to listen man." Amajiki said. "So what's got you down, how'd you get that injury?"
Togata just looked at his friends, before he sighed, and realized they weren't gonna let up until he caved.
"Alright, look." He began. "You remember our Underclassman from Class-A, the one who skipped out on the sparring match I had with them?"
"Oh you mean the Saiyan right?" Nejire asked. "Did you finally fight him or something?"
"No, not really." Togata said. "You've been hearing the rumors right? How a First Year in the hero course is already a father right, because he adopted a little girl he saved from a villain, but she was kidnapped again several weeks ago, right?"
"Yeah but, those are just rumors aren't they?" Amajiki asked.
"Turns out there's more truth to them then you'd think." Togata said, clasping his hands behind his head as he leaned back. "That students was Kaen, and the rumors were true. His daughter's name is Eri, and it's clear he'd do anything to protect her."
"So what does this have to do with your injury?"
"Yesterday, I was on patrol with our other Underclassman Izumi, and by chance, Eri had actually ran into us during her escape attempt from her oppressors." Togata stated.
"Did he hit you, because he thought you kidnapped her?" Nejire asked.
"No." Togata said. "He punched me, because I failed to save her."
Nejire and Amajiki looked at Togata with shocked expressions, as they waited for the terrible punchline that came with his jokes, but it never left his lips.
"Wait hold up, are you saying she's…?"
"She's still alive Amajiki." Togata said. "But before Izumi could get a word out about who Eri really was, her oppressor made himself known, and we played along, until Eri returned to her oppressors side to keep him from using his Quirk on us."
"So then, the Saiyan hit you because…"
"Because I allowed for Eri to leave our care, and return to the hell he's been going through since her abduction." Togata said.
"That's not right though." Nejire stated. "He might have been angry, but that didn't give him any right to hit you."
"Maybe, but I'm actually grateful he did." Togata said. "Because if he hadn't, I'd probably have forgotten completely, why it is I dawn my cape."
~Some Days after~
The scent of summer rain hung in the air, with the clouds of the coming storm gathering overhead. Kaen just sat on the steps to the temple, and out to the gravestones, the memories of when he first unlocked his power at this temple, Sengakuji Temple. The final resting and burial place for the 47 Ronin, had always been a source of comfort for him, because it reminded him of the day he fully unlocked his power, and would follow in his dad's footsteps, as a hero. An' right now, he was needing a place of familiarity and comfort.
"Strange creatures these humans are."
Kaen wasn't even surprised that he wasn't alone, nor that his sudden guest, was a visitor from the Destroyer God's world.
"What can I do for you Whis?" Kaen asked.
"I came, because I felt an unnatural anomaly in your power occur earlier this week." Whis said, standing next to Kaen. "I will admit, you have potential for a mortal. An' there are quite possibly several beings on this world, who can rival your power, and even surpass it if they trained hard enough."
"An' this has something to do with me because?" Kaen inquired.
"Because I see in you, what I've only seen in one other person in millennia." Whis said. "Can you guess who?"
Kaen looked at Whis, before looking back to the monuments for the temple's graves.
"I'm gonna take a guess and say it isn't Lord Beerus."
"You're right on that front." Whis said. "No, the one I speak of, was a young Saiyan I trained, named Yamoshi."
Kaen's head shot up and he turned to look at Whis, a look of shock on the Saiyan's face, as he could only see a proud smile of admiration on the attendants.
"Yamoshi as you probably know, was a historical figure in the Saiyan culture who was known for his divine power, before the destruction of the Saiyan's home world." Whis stated.
"Planet Vegeta, of course he'd have been alive before that." Kaen stated.
"No. Planet Vegeta wasn't the Saiyan's original home world." Whis said. "It was originally the home world of a race of rather intelligent beings, known as Tuffles. But King Vegeta the 1st had acquired the means to travel there, and claim the planet in the name of the Saiyans. The Saiyans original home world, was Planet Sadala."
"I think I've heard mom talk about Sadala whenever dad asked about the Saiyan race." Kaen said.
"Planet Sadala, wasn't destroyed entirely. It's still floating in it's solar system, just as two halves of itself." Whis said.
"I remember the legends of Yamoshi from my time as King of Planet Vegeta in the past." Kaen said. "There were two, but mom always favored the story with him as a hero in it, which I guess I favored as well."
"It's only natural for that to happen. After all, you grew up on a planet filled with heroes, who fight villains day and night, to protect the innocent. True some are more cowards then heroes, who are only in it for the fame and glory, but you're different. You weren't born on this planet, yet you still fight for it, and plan on fighting Frieza's older brother Cooler, once he makes himself known on your planet. An' by no means is he weak, his true strength far surpasses that of Frieza's, and you were barely able to beat him, and only managed to do so, once you'd achieved Super Saiyan."
"So, you're saying even Super Saiyan won't be enough to defeat Cooler then?" Kaen asked.
"We can talk about that later." Whis said. "Right now, we need to discuss that fluctuation in your power I felt."
"I think we can discuss that out of the rain. Come on, it's Saturday and I know a good cafe that'll great for having a discussion in." Kaen said. "The owner is a family friend, so I'm sure he won't mind if I bring you along."
"Oh splended, please do." Whis smiled.
Kaen got up from where he'd been sitting, and began to lead the way from the temple. Taking to the air, Kaen lead Whis to a rather quiet place in the city, with the cafe residing in a little hole in the wall.
"What's this?" Whis asked, as they landed in front of the door. "The Western Restaurant Nekoya?"
"I like to come here and clear my mind whenever I get the chance." Kaen said.
"The sign says they're closed though." Whis said.
"They are, and for good reason. But I have a special access pass that allows me to eat here on Saturdays." Kaen smiled, leading Whis in. Whis noticed however, when Kaen grabbed the handle, it glowed blue, with his chest sparking a flash of red.
Passing through the door, Kaen and Whis were greeted with the sight of several people who all looked like they could be from a fantasy world. There was a priestly man in white robes eating a Pork Loin Cutlet and a large glass of beer, a Lizardman in warrior armor, and eating what looked to be a third plate of an Omelet Rice. There was also an anthromorphic lion eating bulls of Katsudon, a man in samurai robes looking enticingly at the items on the menu, and a man who looked like he lived on a deserted island eating curry.
"My such an amazing place. It looks so fancy." Whis said.
"Ah welcome Kaen. Please have a seat anywhere you'd like." The Master of the restaurant greeted bringing out a dish.
"Appreciated Master. I brought someone here with me today." Kaen said.
"Greetings sir." The Master said, spotting Whis.
"An' a greetings to you to." Whis smiled.
Kaen just turned to a free table, with Whis sitting across from him, as the Master put down the food of the man dressed in the samurai garb.
"Pork Loin, Teriyaki." Kaen greeted.
"Beef Katsudon." The white haired man said.
"Beef Katsudon." The samurai said.
"Here you go, Teriyaki Chicken with sake to drink." The Master said.
"Oh now this is the best."
"Strange names those two have." Whis said.
"Then listen to this, that's Curry." Kaen said, pointing to the deserted island man.
"Curry?" Whis asked.
"Greetings." Curry said.
"That's Omelet Rice." Kaen continued, pointing to the Lizardman.
"Delicious." The Lizardman said.
"Don't mind him, he's unable to say more then the food he orders from here." Kaen said, before pointing to the lion man beside them. "An' that's Pork Cutlet."
"Hello." Pork Cutlet said.
"My, how strange and fascinating names." Whis said as the Master came with a couple menus and some water.
"Those aren't their actual names, not by any means." The Master said. "They're regulars here, and they always order the same thing, every Saturday. So their dishes, became their nicknames that we call each other on a regular basis. I'm actually no different in that regard."
"Why all of them for Saturday?" Whis asked.
"Because normally, that's the only day they can come here." Kaen said. "This Cafe can travel to another world. I wasn't aware of this until after Summer Break started. An' for some reason, I'm able to travel through the barrier that disconnects the door from our world whenever I come by."
"Speaking of school, I heard from your mother you haven't been attending this past week." The master said, pouring their water. "Something on your mind? You're usually so good about your attendance record."
"That's actually what I'm here to talk about with him." Whis said.
"Alright, well take your time, and just be sure to call me when you're ready. Normally my waitress would help you, but she had to call in sick today." The Master said.
"Aletta? Is she doing okay?"
"She should be fine, thanks for your concern. But it won't save ya from having to pay your bill." The Master stated.
"Rats." Kaen chuckled, snapping his fingers.
"Alright, should I just get you your regular then?" The Master chuckled.
"Sure, but make it a double."
"Ooh, you definitely have something on your mind." The Master said, before heading back to the kitchen.
"Before we begin, I must ask. What caused you to be so angry that day, your power reacted to your emotions in such a way, you managed to freeze a magma monster solid?" Whis asked.
Kaen blushed and put his head down, and Whis wasn't sure why, until Pork Loin came to their table and slammed his hands on it.
"You froze a flaming demon of the underworld solid?" Pork Loin asked.
"It wasn't an actual fire demon." Kaen sighed. "It was just a villain with an Elemental Quirk. I was pissed that day, because of something that I had a chance to undo, but was unable to because I was in the wrong place, at the wrong time."
"An' the ice you used?" Pork Loin asked.
"I honestly couldn't tell you even if I knew." Kaen said. "But I am fully aware that what I did was an overreaction to the situation that could have ended that man's life."
"So you didn't do it consciously then." Whis said.
"No, I didn't." Kaen stated.
"Your Majesty, with all due respect, as King of the Saiyans, you should know exactly what your powers limitations and abilities are." Whis said.
"It literally happened, on that day. No other days since then, have I ever turned something to ice, or encased it in frost." Kaen sighed as Pork Loin returned to his seat, ordering another glass of beer.
"Wait hold up, you're a King?" Pork Cutlet asked, looking to Kaen.
"Technically yes and no. It's a long story, short version, I got caught in a Temporal Causality Loop, wound up on my home world days before its destruction, became King through a trial of combat, and managed to turn Super, minutes before the planet's destruction." Kaen stated.
"Wow, guess that makes you royalty huh?" Curry asked.
"It does. But I've always had royal blood, but it was cast aside due to my ancestor's weakness." Kaen said. "Anyway Whis, what would be so important, you'd risk making Beerus mad?"
"The power I sensed within you, is not natural. I felt that it was man made, and that it was a power your body integrated into itself. An' it wasn't a Quirk either." Whis said.
"Here you go, four extra large bowls of Beef Cutlet Katsudon, with a creamy cheese sauce drizzled on top." The Master said, coming back out with Kaen's order as well as a pitcher of soda. "Enjoy."
"Oh my, that looks so tasty." Whis said.
"Have you made a decision yet on what you'd like sir?" The Master asked.
"It's on me today." Kaen said.
"Hmm… well, I think I'll have two bowls of the same stuff Kaen is having, and two of the Pork Cutlet Rice Bowls." Whis said. "An' make them as large as you can please?"
"Four bowls of Katsudon, two pork cutlet, two beef cutlet, the same size as Kaen's. I'll have those out to you in a moment." The Master said, retreating back to the kitchen.
"You'd better be careful, we don't really know what to call you if you become a regular, since both nicknames for those dishes are already taken." Teriyaki said.
"Oh I assure you, I probably won't be here that many times." Whis said. "At least not while you're here I don't think."
"Back to what we were discussing Whis. You're right, I do have a power within me, that isn't actually part of my Quirk." Kaen said. "It's actually a power I have from solving a riddle, and becoming the vessel for that source of power, and it's the reason why I have this red streak in my hair. I believe Lord Beerus might be familiar with this." He explained, showing the Wukong Crystal through his costume.
"Oh my. It was retrieved. I was not aware of this. So is it Kaen, or Sun Wukong I'm speaking to right now?" Whis asked.
"Sun Wukong has been gone for a long time." Kaen said. "It's just me, Oozaru, Asura, and three soul fragments from the past couple generations in here."
"I'm assuming those fragments have something to do with your Quirk?" Whis asked.
"Yeah. But I can't say anything else about it." Kaen said as he dug in.
"You do know what that crystal is comprised of, right?" Whis asked.
"Let's see, the main ingredient for it was Sun Wukong's heart, every last drop of his blood, a liter of blood from the Grand Minister Angel, who I believe is your father and the personal attendant of Lord Xeno; a set of active Namekian Wish Orbs, a Watcher's finely powdered eye, enough Ki from Lord Beerus to destroy the universe three times over, ground bones from a dragon, a tuft of hair from an old Supreme Kai, all mixed within a hollowed out angel's crystal ball, which sealed itself and took this shape when the prison was completed." Kaen listed off.
"I honestly was not expecting you to know the answer." Whis said.
"Well, Oozaru has plenty of free time due to his unique circumstance with being able to fully manifest himself into my soul and mindscape, so he analyzed it himself and revers engineered the gems composition from there, before letting me know." Kaen said. "Sometimes when I'm alone and it's all quiet, I can hear the lub-dub of Wukong's heart from within it."
"I see." Whis said, as his order came out.
"Enjoy." The Master said.
"Can I get another order please?" Kaen asked.
"Certainly. It'll be a minute since orders are backed up a bit." The Master stated.
"That's fine, I don't mind. Your cooking is always worth the wait." Kaen said.
"Kaen, before I go back. Does what happened earlier this week, have anything to do with Eri?" The Master asked, causing the restaurant to go dead silent.
There wasn't a soul in the restaurant that didn't know about Eri, or about how she'd gone missing due to a malicious third party.
"Yeah… it does." Kaen said. "I could have gotten her back, if only Nighteye had sent me with Togata instead of Deku."
"I take it, Eri's the daughter you mentioned when we first met in the Causality Loop." Whis said.
"She is." Kaen said.
"Master." Curry said. "Put his order on my tab today. I don't think I'd feel right about leaving, without doing something to at least try and ease his troubles."
"King Kid." Pork Cutlet said. "If you ever need to get stronger, follow me through the door one of these times. The Gladiator Arena will be glad to have you. Then when you feel strong enough, return to your world, and get your daughter back."
"I can even teach you some magic. I can sense you have an affinity for it, all we'd have to do is figure out your element." Pork Loin added.
"I can even teach you how to use a blade along with your shield." Teriyaki said.
"My, it seems you have quite a few people from another world, who are willing to fight for you." Whis said.
"It's not surprising." The Master smiled. "First time he learned that this place could travel to another world, was when he'd returned from the Grand Raitai Tournament, and celebrated his victory and claiming the title of Kaioh Emperor. His daughter Eri, and girlfriend Mina were with him, and it became a party none of us will ever forget. But the thing they remember the most about that night, was when he fought for this place. A malicious tyrant had tried to lay claim to this place, saying this world and all its resources were to be his, but Kaen wasn't gonna have any of it."
"It's true." Pork Cutlet said. "In fact, he sent all of them back through the door, with a single punch. The air pressure was so strong, you'd have thought one of the Six Pillar Gods, had flapped their wings."
"His arm was broken as a result, but all he cared about, was if any of us were hurt." Teriyaki said.
"My, that is impressive." Whis smiled.
"So when we all heard about Eri going missing. We requested he take us to his world to find her." Pork Loin said.
"But he made a valid point saying, there was no guarantee we'd be able to return. So we swallowed our pride, and decided to let him handle it." Pork Cutlet stated.
"Now I see why Lord Beerus took such an interest in you Kaen." Whis said.
"What do you mean?"
"Your true power, isn't your strength, your Quirk, or your advanced Ki manipulation. No, it's none of those." Whis said. "It's your heart, and your ability to befriend anyone you meet. Time and again, you've risked your life, put it on the line to protect those on a world, you weren't even born to, yet here you sit, dressed like a hero, and even acting like one. I believe you've really outdone yourself with this community of yours, my young friend. I'm glad to know your power hasn't consumed you, but I do wish to let you in on a piece of advice."
"An' that is?"
"Your gem, as you know, is partly made of a ground up eye from a Watcher, a being who transcends reality itself, and can peer into the many different timelines and realities, that reach far beyond your comprehensions. But, with it being a part of the gem fused with your body, and your soul, it remains connected to you. All versions of you, who've gone through different experiences, different adventures, and quite possibly even traveled to different worlds, while you remain here, because of a simple choice you chose not to make, that lead to your multiple alternate selves going on theirs. This power of yours, can and is possible to be obtained by you, allowing you the same abilities that your counterparts may have developed or achieved." Whis explained with a smile. "Should you accept what I am about to offer you, then I can, and will train you how to harness this power, and become a powerful Saiyan, far surpassing the legends of the Super Saiyan, and even the Super Saiyan God Yamoshi."
