Hi. An update on last night's missing segment:
I was taking a walk because the weather was so nice and while crossing the street at the crosswalk, a car turned to go and hit me.
I flew up on the hood, then landed like a sack of flour dropped from a ten story house on my head a side. I lay there as just about everyone in the neighborhood or in cars ran to help me.
I had blood on my face, scrapes all over the place and couldn't find my glasses which were smashed.
They called an ambulance and away we went.
One CT (cat) scan, MRI and set of x-rays later they found no broken bones, internal bleeds anywhere but merely a lot of scrapes on my knees and hip, a cut over my eye and bruising in the weirdest places.
I got to go home but the pain in my hands was so bad I came back and got some x=rays. No broken bones but there was a tiny thing on my cervical section 7 or something or other that accounted for that. Over activated nerves along the pinkie fingers and the finger next to it.
I'm on some heavy duty drugs for a while and have an appointment with a neurologist to recheck my testing. The only thing that hurts now is my hands. One of them has a bruise so that might account for that hand hurting worse than the other.
I have to get now glasses, this is being typed in a gigantic font and have a few off.
One of the things I thought about was how pissed I'd be not to finish this story. LOL!
Things happen. That kid didn't mean making a mistake and because I try to keep in shape I'm not maimed.
I think about what matters and its the people you love. Among them, I include you, my found family. Take care out there. I'm going to try righting with a huge font until I get glasses again but it might be slower going.
For those of you who are facing fires, flooding and other traumas, just know an old lady in Alaska stands with you. I love you all, my found family.
HUGS and slag,
Cathy
