Author's note.
Well, the results from the poll came back. And the character that is gonna be introduced in my first DC Superhero Girls fanfiction is….Firestorm. Now, there are two versions of Firestorm, but I'll decide weather it'll be Ronnie Raymond or Jason Rush. In terms of 'Glitter Force 5D's'. Three Dark Signers are left and this time it's Carly vs Jack and Lily. And, there's a surprise. What is it? Just read and find out. Also, if there were Yu-Gi-Oh card sets based this story, what would they be called? Let me know in the comments.
Chapter 11
Shocking Destiny
Jack and Lily were riding towards Aslla Piscu. Jack was determined, because he found out that the Hummingbird Signer was someone of great importance to him.
Not that long ago.
Jack was in disguise looking out over the see when a girl with long dark green hair wearing circular glasses came up to him. She wore a long sleeved shirt that was patterned with white and baby blue stripes, dark blue jeans, red sneakers and am orange vest jacket.
"Uh, Jack", she said. "I cleaned your outfit for you".
"Thanks Carly" said Jack. Carly walked over to him, but then she tripped on thin air, fell on the floor and dropped everything. One of the things that was dropped was a picture of Carly with some girl with blonde hair. Jack then picked up the picture as Carly got her stuff together.
"Carly", said Jack. "Who's the girl with you in this picture?". Carly then looked at it and smiled.
"That's my niece", she replied. "Her name's Lily".
Present.
'I can't believe that the Dark Signers would stoop this low', thought Jack. 'This time, you've made it personal. RRRRRRRRRRRRR! Tch, how am I gonna break this to Lily?'.
They soon arrived at the tower.
"Okay Dark Signer!", shouted Lily. "Come out and show yourself!".
"If you insist" said a voice. A duel runner then came out of nowhere and landed right in front of Jack and Lily.
"No way" said Lily. The rider then removed her helmet to reveal a very familiar face.
"Why hello Lily" said Carly.
"Aunt Carly", said Lily. "Is that you?".
"I wasn't expecting you of all people to be here", said Carly. "So why are you here?".
"Where here to stop you" said Lily.
"And we're here to free you from the Dark Signer's control" added Jack.
"They aren't controlling", said Carly. "They gave me what I wanted. So, no more wimpy Carly Carmine".
"But I liked you the way you were" said Lily.
"Well, I didn't" said Carly.
"Carly listen to me", said Jack. "The Dark Signers have done nothing but whisper sweet nothings in your ear. Don't listen to them".
"Big talk, coming from a guy who tried to ditch me because he thought I was one of the paparazzi" said Carly.
"I was only trying to protect you", said Jack. "If people found out that you were with me then they would do anything to get to me through you".
"ENOUGH TALK!", shouted Carly putting her helmet back on. "You know there's only one way to settle this".
"I'm well aware", said Jack. He then pressed a button on his dashboard and a sidecar was deployed. "Lily, climb in". Lily then climbed into the sidecar before they and Carly raced off. Carly made the turn first, so she got to go first.

"The first move's mine", said Carly drawing the top card of her deck. "I summon Fortune Lady Light, in defence mode". Carly's monster was a girl with yellow tinged skin, yellow hair, wore a yellow outfit (I don't know how to describe it), what appeared to be bat wings on her head and carried a wooden staff.

"I'll set one card facedown", said Carly. "Let's see how you fair against me now".
"Then let's see, shall we" said Jack as he drew the tp card of his deck.

"Rgh! I pass, there's nothing I can do" said Jack.
"Oh, how sad", said Carly sarcastically. "The great Jack Atlas passing a turn? That's new".
"Then it's my move" said Lily drawing the top card of her deck.
Carly SP: 1 + 1 = 2
Jack SP: 1 + 1 = 2
Lily SP: 1 + 1 = 2
"I summon Wattlemur in defence mode" said Lily. Lily's new monster was a lemur coloured electric blue and yellow.

"A lemur?", asked Carly. "Off all the monsters you summoned, you summoned a lemur".
"I'll place three cards facedown and end my turn" said Lily.
"Then it's my move then" said Carly drawing the top card of her deck.

Jack SP: 2 + 1 = 3
Lily SP: 2 + 1 = 3
"I release my Fortune Lady Light", said Carly. "And this also activates her special ability. When she's released, I can summon another Fortune Lady from my deck. So, I summon Fortune Ladies Earth and Dark". Light disappeared and two new monsters. Both looked like Fortune Lady Light, but there were differences. That being their facial features, as Dark looked more mature and Earth looked like a nerd. But the other was their colours. While Dark's colour was purple, Earth's colour was orange-brown.
"Incase you're wondering about their attack points", said Carly. "They are equal to their levels multiplied by 400. Since Earth's is six and Dark's is five, that gives them, well, you do the math".

"2400 and 2000" said Jack.
"If she attacks now", said Lily. "Either one of us is done for". Lily then winked at Jack. He then realised that she had a plan.
"Great idea", said Carly. "FORTUNE LADY EARTH! ATTACK JACK WITH CURSE OF THORN!".
"Sorry Auntie", said Lily. "But I'ma stop ya there. Behold, earthshaker. Here's how it works, you have two monsters with different attributes, Earth and Dark. Now, you must choose which one stays and which one doesn't".
'Hmm. So, she's forcing me to make a choice, huh', thought Carly. 'If I choose Earth, I'll lose my level 6. If I choose Dark, my level 5 is gone'.
"I choose dark" said Carly.
"Very well", said Lily. "EARTHSHAKER! SWALLOW FORTUNE LADY DARK!". Fortune Lady Dark suddenly fell to the floor where a giant hole opened up from underneath her. She then fell into it.
"So, you got rid of ONE monster", said Carly. "What difference is that gonna make?".
"THIS!", shouted Emily. "The trap, destruction boost. When a monster is destroyed by a card effect, I can activate this card. Now, I can add the destroyed monster's attack points to any player. And I choose Jack".
Jack: 4000 + 2000 = 6000
"Thanks for the boost" said Jack.
"You're welcome" said Lily.
"Hate to break it to ya, but it's still my turn", said Carly. "And I think I'll pick up where we left of. FORTUNE LADY EARTH! ATTACK JACK! CURSE OF THORN!". Fortune Lady Earth then slammed her staff into the ground and large thorns popped out and struck Jack.
Jack: 6000 - 2400 = 3600
Jack SP: 2 - 2 = 0
"Thank you for that", said Jack. "When you attack me the second time, I can summon Crying Ogre from my hand". Jack's new monster was a blue skinned ogre with brown hair and red loincloth carrying a club. But, the most noticeable feature was the red markings on it's eyes that looked tears.

"And since you attacked twice", said Jack. "He gains attack points equal to those of the monster who attacked me the first time".

"RGH! I end my turn" growled Carly.
"Then it's my move" said Jack drawing the top card of his deck.
Carly SP: 3 + 1 = 4
Jack SP: 0 + 1 = 1
Lily SP: 3 + 1 = 4
'Crying Ogre and Fortune Lady Earth have the same number of attack points', thought Lily. 'But, if Jack is as good as he says he is, the has to have a plan'.
"I summon Power Supplier", said Jack. "Thanks to this monster, when it's normal summoned, I can add 400 attack points to a monster on my field".
"Sorry, but I don't think you will", said Carly. "I activate Bending Destiny. This card can only be activated if I control a Fortune Lady. This trap negates the activation of a spell or trap or the normal summon of a monster and return it to the hand. Also, it can't be used again this turn". Power Supplier then returned to Jack's hand.
"I'll set one card facedown and end my turn" said Jack.
"Then it's my turn" said Lily drawing the top card of her deck.
Carly SP: 4 + 1 = 5
Jack SP: 1 + 1 = 2
Lily SP: 4 + 1 = 5
"I summon Wattcobra" said Lily. Her new monster was cobra that was coloured electric red, yellow and blue with a lightning bolt tongue.

"Next, comes the facedown card, Watt Warp", said Lily. "This trap card activates when I have two or more Watt monsters on my field. If I do, I can summon another Watt monster from my hand. Only downside, that monster is removed from play at the end of the turn. So, I summon Wattfox". Her new monster was an yellow fox that looked mechanical.

"Oh wow", said Carly sarcastically. "You summoned three weak monsters. I'm sooooooooooo scared".
"You will be when I tune my level 2 Wattfox with my level 4 Wattcobra and level 2 Wattlemur", said Lily performing the summon. "Glistening armour and pure of heart! Fuelled by the power of love! I synchro summon! Thunder Heart Valkyrie!". Lily's new monster was a human woman with long pink hair decked out in formfitting armour with a large pink heart on the front, golden metal wings on her back and carried a long sword in her hand.

"Huh" said Carly.
"That's right", said Lily. "You remember this card? You should. After all, you gave it to me".
Years ago.
"Lily", said Carly. "I got something for you".
"You did?" Asked Lily excitedly. She ran over to Carly who took a card out of her purse.
"Happy Birthday sweety" said Carly as she handed it to Lily.
Present.
"Yeah, I remember" said Carly.
"I'll place one card facedown and end my turn" said Lily.
"About time you summoned a decent monster. My move" said Carly drawing the top card of her deck.
Carly SP: 5 + 1 = 6
Jack SP: 2 + 1 = 3
Lily SP: 5 + 1 = 6
"Now for my fortune lady's effects", said Carly. "First, it's level increases by 1 and it's attack points by 400".
Fortune Lady Earth
Level: 6 + 1 = 7
ATK: 2400 + 400 = 2800
"And now for her second one", said Carly. "You now lose 400 life points".
Jack: 3600 - 400 = 3200
"And now, it's time for more pain", said Carly. "GO! CURSE OF THORN!". Fortune Lady Earth then destroyed Crying Ogre.
Jack: 2800 - 400 = 2400
"Next, I activate my trap card, Enlightenment", said Carly. "Thanks to this, my Fortune Lady can attack again".
"I don't think so", said Lily, "I activate my Power Cut trap card. Thanks to this, I can negate the activation of on one card. But I need to control a Thunder-type monster". The trap was then destroyed.
"What", said Carly in shock. "But-but, I could've shown you what the world would be like if you joined me. Think about it. Ruling over the people of this world, just the three of us". Jack then reached into his pocket and pulled out Carly's glasses.
"Well, I know that the woman who helped me through my darkest hour, and the aunt who cares deeply for her niece is still in there", said Jack. "I just need to bring it out".
"RGH! She's not here any more!", shouted Carly. "And there's nothing you can do about it".
"I refuse to believe in that", said Jack. "And to prove it, I activate Do or Doom. This trap card gives you a choice. You either gain life points equal to half of the attack points of the strongest monster on the field. Or, inflict the same amount to your opponent as damage. So, what's your choice".
"You're giving me the choice?", asked Carly with a chuckle. "Why would you do that?".
"Because I know that the real Carly will make the right choice" said Jack.
"That being the one where you gain life points" added Lily.
"You REALLY think I'm gonna do that?", asked Carly. "Well, I choose-". Before she could say anything, she stopped.
"I-I choose".
"Lily! Get down from there!" Shouted Carly worryingly seeing a 2 month old Lily on top of the fridge.
"I choose the".
"Ya know. My glasses look good on you" said Carly as Lily played with her glasses.
"The. The".
"Good night sweety", said Carly as she tucked Lily in. "See you in the morning".
"The. The. First option" said Carly.
Carly: 4000 + 1200 = 5200
"Ha! I knew there was still some good in you left" said Lily.
"Don't mistake my act of mercy as me being normal", said Carly. "I play the speed spell, Curse of Destiny. Thanks to this, I can place two cursed counters on a monster. And by removing a counter, I can deal you damage without attacking, even though the damage is halved". Chains then wrapped up Fortune Lady Earth and she screamed in pain. It's skin turned blood black and it gain a twisted cartoonish mouth and it's eyes began to glow.
"Now, let's deal some damage" said Carly. Chains then struck Jack.
Jack: 2400 - 1200 = 1200
Jack SP: 3 - 1 = 2
"I'll set two cards facedown and end my turn" said Carly.
"Then it's my move" said Jack drawing the top card of her deck.
Carly SP: 6 + 1 = 7
Jack SP: 2 + 1 = 3
Lily SP: 6 + 1 = 7
"Since you're the only one with monster on your field, I can special summon Vice Dragon from my hand", said Jack. "The only difference is that his attack and defence points are halved". His monster then appeared on the field.
"Next, I summon Dark Resonator" said Jack as his monster appeared on the field.
"Now, Dark Resonator tunes Vice Dragon", said Jack performing the summon. "I synchro summon! Red Dragon Archfiend!". Jack's ace monster then appeared on the field.
"Oooooooooh. Two monsters with 3000 attack points", said Carly mockingly. "What ever shall I do? Oh wait, I'll activate my trap. Class Change. This card increases the level of my monster by one. And when that happens, you know what comes? 400 extra attack points and 400 points of damage".
Fortune Lady Earth
Level: 7 + 1 = 8
ATK: 2800 + 400 = 3200
Chains then struck Jack again.
Jack: 1200 - 400 = 800
"Oh no", said Lily. "Now Fortune Lady Earth is stronger than your Red Dragon Archfiend".
"Then it's a good thing I have the speed spell half seize", said Jack. "Now, your strongest monster's attack points get cut in half and my life points increase by that same amount".
Fortune Lady Earth
ATK: 3200 - 1600 = 1600
Jack: 800 + 1600 = 2400
"I'll set a card and end my turn" said Jack.
"Then it's my move" said Lily drawing the top card of her deck.
Carly SP: 7 + 1 = 8
Jack SP: 3 + 1 = 4
Lily SP: 7 + 1 = 8
"Thunder Heart Valkyrie!", shouted Lily. "ATTACK FORTUNE LADY EARTH! THUNDER BLADE STRIKE!". Her monster then let out a war cry, charged forward and destroyed Fortune Lady Earth with one swipe of her sword.
Carly: 5200 - 1400 = 3800
Carly SP: 8 - 1 = 7
"Now for her special ability", said Lily. "When she destroys a monster by battle, you get hit damage for that monster's level times 100". A large bolt of lightning then struck Carly.
Carly: 3800 - 800 = 3000
"Aw, thank you sweety for helping auntie Carly out" said Carly.
"How'd I do that?" Asked Lily.
"By activating my trap, Inherent Fortune", said Carly. "When you destroyed my Fortune Lady Earth, I get to summon two Fortune Ladies instead of one next turn".
"Very well, I'll set two cards facedown and end my turn" said Lily.
"Then it's my move" said Carly as she drew the top card of her deck.
Carly SP: 7 + 1 = 8
Jack SP: 4 + 1 = 5
Lily SP: 8 + 1 = 9
"Since I activated Inherent Fortune last turn, I get two summon two Fortune Ladies", said Carly. "In this case, Fortune Lady Wind and Fortune Lady Water". Carly's two new monsters appeared on her field. One was coloured green, the other blue.

"Now for Water's ability", said Carly. "I can draw one card for each Fortune Lady I control". She then drew the top two cards of her deck. She then smiled at what she saw.
"I release Fortune Lady Water and Wind" said Carly as her two monsters disappeared and a giant beating stone heart appeared in the sky and sucked souls into it.
"Oh no, here it comes!" Shouted Lily.
"You should be scared", said Carly. "Behold, as 5000 years comes to the present and engulfs the world in shadows. I SUMMON! EARTHBOUND IMMORTAL ASLLA PISCU!". The heart then stopped beating and in it's place was a giant, black hummingbird with orange lining.
Earthbound Immortal Aslla Piscu

"Now! Aslla Piscu!", shouted Carly. "Attack Jack directly!". Aslla Piscu then flew in for the attack.
"Not so fast", said Jack. "I activate Battle Fader's ability. When I'm attacked directly, I can special summon him from my hand and negate the attack!". Battle fader then rang his bell and Aslla Piscu stopped.
"RGH!", growled Carly. "I'll set a card facedown and end my turn".
"Why?", asked Lily. "Why did you join the Dark Signers Aunt Carly?".
"You wanna know why I joined?", asked Carly. "You really wanna know? I was sick of the life I had. I was an intern, I didn't get paid, I lived in my car, that jerk Angela constantly bullies me and my moron of a boss never appreciates what I do! I! I'M JUST A FAILURE TO EVERYONE!". Tears came out of Carly's eyes as she spoke every word.
"I refused to believe that", said Jack. "Carly, you were there for me when I was at my lowest, even when tried to push you away you still came back to me. No matter what I did, you never gave up on me. So I'm not gonna give up on you".
"What do you know?", asked Carly as the tears continue to flow. "You had it all, fame, fortune, dozens of fans. So how would you know?".
"Because", said Jack. "That was all empty. It was really lonely at the top. I had no one, all those big wigs, endorsers, businessmen. They weren't my friends. They didn't care about me, they cared about my image. I. I was lonely, my victories felt empty. But. When I met you, that void was filled. You might have wanted to get a scoop on me, but I could tell that everything you did for me, you did out of the goodness of your heart. And. I'm forever grateful for that".
"Yeah", said Lily. "If it wasn't for you, Jack and Yusei wouldn't have patched things up. And the Signers wouldn't have been brought together. If it wasn't for, I would never had gotten into duelling. Don't you see Carly?". Carly then looked at Lily.
"You're not a failure".
With those words, memories of some of the best moments came rushing back into her head.
The day she helped her sister impress her boyfriend.
The day she graduated from college.
The day she became a bridesmaid at her sister's wedding.
…..
The day that Lily, her niece, was born.
"You're-you're right", said Carly as her eyes returned to normal. "I'm-I'm not a failure. I've done so much in my life. I guess. I just didn't know it". Carly then felt a great pain in her body.
"You wretched worm", said a dark voice. "If you think I'm giving this up without a fight, you're stupider than you look".
"Jack! Lily!", shouted Carly. "Promise me! Rgh! That you'll! Defeat me! Please!".
"You can count on me" said Jack. The mark of the Crimson Dragon appeared on his back and the top card of his deck glowed.
"My move" said Jack drawing the top card of his deck.
Carly SP: 8 + 1 = 9
Jack SP: 5 + 1 = 6
Lily SP: 9 + 1 = 10
"I summon Majestic Dragon" said Jack. The monster then appeared on the field.
"Now, I tune Majestic Dragon with Battle Fader and Red Dragon Archfiend!", shouted Jack performing the summon. "I synchro summon! The Majestic Red Dragon!". His new monster was a sleeker, more aerodynamic version of Red Dragon Archfiend with four wings.

Now, Jack and Lily were now riding INSIDE the dragon.
"Whoa. This is weird" said Lily.
"Now for his special abilities", said Jack. "First, it negates the special abilities of one of your monsters. The second, it drains the attack points of that monster and adds the to it's own". Red energy then went out of Aslla Piscu, but, before it could enter Majestic Red Dragon, it then went into Thunder Heart Valkyrie.
"Lily. What are you doing?" Asked Jack.
"I activate the speed spell power absorption generator", said Lily. "Since I have five or more speed counters, whenever the attack or defence points of a monster change because of a card effect, my monster becomes the target instead. Not only that, but it becomes immune to all spells and traps".
Thunder Heart Valkyrie
ATK: 3000 + 2500 = 5500
"Jack", said Lily. "She's my my aunt. So let me finish this".
"Of course" said Jack.
"It's my move" said Lily drawing the top card of her deck.
Carly SP: 9 + 1 = 10
Jack SP: 6 + 1 = 7
Lily SP: 10 + 1 = 11
"I activate my final facedown, command and punishment of the monster tamer", said Lily. "This trap allows me to take control of one monster. So, Majestic Red Dragon is mine now. Next, I can combine their attack points and destroy one monster on the field, and inflict you with damage equal to the difference in attack points. So, say good by to Earthbound Immortal Aslla Piscu". Both monsters then charged at Aslla Piscu and destroyed it, reducing Carly's life points to 0. The shock from the impact caused Carly to crash.
Jack stopped the Duel Runner and ran over to Carly.
"CARLY!" Both Jack and Lily shouted. Jack the held Carly in his arms.
"Are you okay?" Asked Jack.
"Jack, listen", said Carly in a voice that sounded like she was dying. "I-I'm sorry".
"Don't you DARE apologies Carly", said Jack. "If anything, the Dark Signers are to blame for this". Carly then turned to Lily.
"Sweety", said Carly. "I'm proud of you. You have grow SO much since I last saw you. You are destined for great things. Now, just promise me you'll be good to Jack while I'm gone and help him out where you can".
"I promise" said Lily.
"I think these belong to you" said Jack as he put Carly's glasses back on her.
"Thanks", she replied. "It's. Time. For me. To. Go. Bye Jack. Goodbye sweety". Carly then turned to dust.
"Goodbye. Aunt Carly" whimpered Lily. She then hugged Jack as she began to cry. Jack did the only thing he could do; return the hug.
