Here's where we find out who faces who in the first round. With the tournament now properly underway, we'll learn who will win, who might lose, and what the heck is going on with Vicky? So, leave a review, sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
Chapter 19
Who fights who?
Emily was laying in her bed in her hotel room, but she couldn't sleep. Candi then walked up to her.
"You okay Emily?" She asked.
"I'm just, worried that's all" answered Emily.
"Worried about what?" Asked Candi.
"About people finding out about me being Yusei's apprentice" answered Emily.
"Don't you remember what Yusei said?", asked Candi. "He said he'll never reveal that fact to the public until you were ready".
"But I don't know if I'll EVER be ready" said Emily with a sigh.
"I know you'll be ready someday", said Candi. "Now, you have a tournament tomorrow, you need your sleep". Emily only smiled.
"You're right", she said. "Night Candi". Emily then turned off the lights and drifted off to sleep.
But….
"Help me!".
"Please!".
"He's hurting me!".
"I don't want this anymore!".
A loud, shrilled Banshee-like scream woke Emily up. She was now in a cold sweat and looked at the clock. It was 5:30 in the morning.
"I still got an hour until I have to get up" Emily said to herself. She then heard a knock at the door.
"Come in" she said. The door opened to reveal…..
"Luna" said Emily.
"You heard them too, didn't you?" Asked Luna.
"The voices?" Asked Emily. Luna nodded.
"Someone's hurting", said Luna. "They're calling out for help". Emily was now nervous, who WAS calling out to her.
The following morning, the stadium was packed as the duelists were waiting in the locker rooms.
"Welcome everyone!", shouted the MC. "Today's the day we finally find out who faces who. The matches shall be split up into groups of four and will last for four days. Then we'll have the quarter-finals, the semi-finals and then the proper finals. Now let's see who faces who". Everyone then turned their attention to the large monitor screens.
"And here are the first four matches for today!" Shouted the MC.
Takashi vs Emily
John vs Akiza
Jack vs Chloe
Lily vs Edwin
"Huh, I'm duelling on the first day" said Emily.
"Don't worry". Emily looked behind herself to see Takashi standing there.
"Oh, uh, hello" said Emily.
"I look forward to our duel", said Takashi with a bow. "I'll be waiting for you on the duel field".
"I can't wait" said Emily with a smile.
"Okay, now, let's bring out our first pair of duelists", said the MC. "Be prepared as monsters clash in this fight of warriors. First, we have the man so disciplined, he can make even the most rowdiest kids tired, Takashi Ojiro". Takashi then walked onto the field as the crowd cheered.
"Next", said the MC. "We have the believer with the most irresistible smile, Rainbow Hill's fairy tale girl, Emily Hoshizora". Emily then walked onto the field as the crowd cheered.
"Who will win in this match between a samurai and a storyteller?", asked the MC. "We'll just have to watch this duel and find out". Both Emily and Takashi then turned on their duel disks.
"Let's do this" said Emily.
