"Come on...I swear I didn't mean it!" Tori exclaims as she looks pleadingly at Jade. The two of them are standing in the middle of the hallway arguing about nothing.

Jade is having a bad day today even though Friday's are normally her favourite day of the school week. Which leads Jade to roll her eyes at the shorter girl. "You always say that when you want something."

Tori rolls her eyes and crosses her arms over her chest in defensiveness as the accusation. "I hate how you feel the need to argue with everything I say!"

Jade likes Tori, she really does but right now she's completely done with this conversation. She didn't get anywhere near enough sleep last night. "As if it's my fault all your opinions are objectively wrong!" she exclaims harshly.

Tori drops her arms to the side and when Jade makes eye contact with her she notes looks defeated. Guilt tugs at Jade's heartstrings and she sighs loudly. "Look," Jade says softly while heading over to the vending machine. "I had a really crappy night last night and I know that's no excuse to snap at you so I'm sorry. I just don't want to have this conversation right now, okay?"

Tori nods and Jade starts to feel some relief when Tori says she accepts her apology before telling her she'd give her some space to be by herself. Jade smiles at Tori's thoughtfulness. Apologising isn't something she's very used to doing but this time she's really glad she did it and didn't ruin anything between her and Tori for once.

After leaving her locker Jade decides she wants to hang out in her favourite spot. Which in hindsight Jade wishes she would have avoided. Upon entering the janitor's closet, Jade sees something she knows she'll never be able to forget about.

Sitting side by side sucking each other's faces off are Cat and Andre. Without meaning to, Jade makes a gagging noise which makes the two kissing break away and look for the source of noise. The closet is small so they find her quickly and when they do, Andre scrambles up and clears his throat.

"I'm gunna… go," he says before promptly moving past Jade and leaving the closet.

Jade wiggles her eyebrows at Cat and for once Cat doesn't look amused by her attempt at a joke. "You and Andre, huh?" Jade asks the redhead teasingly.

Cat breaks eye contact between herself and Jade and looks down at her hands. "It's not what it looked like," is the only reply Cat gives Jade.

Jade takes her opportunity to tease her best friend. "It looked like you guys were sucking face so how was it not that?"

Cat looks up at her with a face that screams disgust. "We weren't sucking face. It was closed mouth."

Jade smirks, "I know. I'm just overplaying it for dramatic effect. I didn't think you liked Andre like that?"

Cat shrugs her shoulders. "I don't," Cat answers shortly.

Jade raises an eyebrow. "Then why were you kissing him in the janitor's closet?"

Cat sighs dejectedly. "I asked him if he'd do me a favour."

That peaks Jade's curiosity and she sits down next to Cat. "I'm listening," she replies kindly.

Cat kind of zone out for a second after that. When she comes back she looks more shy than she did before. "Well, I haven't kissed anyone in a long time and I wanted to know if I was still…" Cat trails off awkwardly.

Jade catches her train of thought and finishes the sentence for her, "a good kisser?"

Cat nods simply and Jade feels her heart drop into her stomach. It's rare that she sees Cat this down and insecure about something so she grabs her hand and gives it a light squeeze. "I'm guessing Andre agreed when you told him you needed help?"

Cat smiles before her face goes blank. "He was open to it after I told him it wouldn't change anything between us. After I explained that I was feeling bad about it and I needed someone to reassure me about it, he agreed."

Jade grabs her thumb up and down Cat's hand to calm her nerves. "Why didn't you ask Beck or Robbie?"

Cat laughs at her. "Beck is your ex-boyfriend and although you guys broke up, I would never do that to you. Robbie on the other hand… he likes me and I wouldn't want him to get the wrong idea about it and end up hurting him with something like that. I needed someone who doesn't have feelings for me or a history with anyone in our group, but I also needed someone I knew I could trust enough to be honest with me about what they thought. Andre was the best fit so yeah."

Jade puts her arm around Cat in a side hug. "What did he say about the kiss?"

Cat pouts cutely. "Nothing because you scared him away before he could tell me."

Jade shakes her head. "Oh, come on. You can't blame that on me."

Cat looks pointedly at her. "You know he's pretty scared of you when you get in a bad mood."

Jade shrugs but she agrees. "I guess that's true. You know, you could have asked me."

"I could have asked you to do what?" Cat questions.

Jade resists the urge to roll her eyes at her best friend and succeeds. "You could have asked me to tell you if you were a good kisser or not."

Cat smiles gently at Jade. "Thanks for the offer but we both know that kissing a guy is different than kissing a girl. I specifically needed a guy's opinion and you aren't a guy."

Jade puts her hand over her hurt in mock hurt. "I can't believe you're comparing our kiss to your kiss with Andre right now."

Cat smirks playfully at her. "I can't believe you tried to kiss me again. I thought the first time was good enough but I guess you can't get enough."

Jade fake pouts at Cat's teasing before removing her arm from around Cat. "That situation was different and you know it was."

Cat shakes her head. "It wasn't much different that what I asked Andre to do for me since you asked me to figure out if you liked girls and I asked Andre so I could figure out if I was still a good kisser."

Jade thinks about what Cat said for a moment before actually agreeing. "I guess when you put it like that it isn't that much different. I did find out about my bisexuality thanks to our kiss so as long as neither of you gets hurt and you can get the answer you need, there won't be any reason for me to hurt Andre. If he hurts you, then he'll definitely have a reason to be scared and if that happens, he should run from me."

Cat hits Jade's shoulder lightly while she laughs. "You're all talk," she tells Jade before laughing.

Jade smirks, "let's hope for Andre's sake he doesn't have to find out if I'm all talk or not." Jade smiles quickly at Cat then excuses herself before leaving the janitor's closet. Cat bids her goodbye before the door closes behind Jade.
