Chapter Daily: Bailey
It was at that moment Sonic and Jet were looking at the sunset. But it was not a sunset at all. It was a supernova of true death.
Sonic's single eye watered at the sight and then burnt out. He then blinked and his sight returned immediately.
"What do we do about this tragedy?" asked Jet, his bird beak in calculated directions to the north.
"The death of the sun has got to be a big fat egg's doing," growled Sonic, slipping a Slim Jim out of his pocket and chewing down with the ire of the hedge.
"How can Eggman be that strong?" asked Jet.
Sonic paced back and forth with his super speed as he thought. He was certainly proud of the fact that he was faster than the Flash, but then he remembered that there was a tremendous crisis afoot. "If Eggman destroyed the sun, then he will also have the power to destroy other important things!"
Jet gasped and looked down at his Extreme Gear. "I hope you do not mean that which we love, Sonic!"
Sonic sighed and bent down, picking up a blade of grass that had caught on fire due to the flames raining down from above the atmosphere. He put the flame into his mouth and permitted the thin vegetation peace at last.
"Sonic…" Jet said sadly with knowing eyes. He sat down on his board and began weeping.
Sonic grit his teeth. Eggman has finally gone too far! I must defeat his evil once and for all!
