This is my first Calvin & Hobbes story. I hope you enjoy it. It came form my own thoughts when I was reading C&H. Hobbes stars this "Stupendous Story!"
It was a lovely day near Calvin's house. The sun was WAY up, the birds were singing, and the family was lively. All but Calvin, who, as usual, was sleeping right through it.
"Wake up, Calvin!" Hobbes says with a grin on his face. "The sun is shining, everyone is awake, and SUSIE DERKINS is out on her sidewalk." Hobbes said Susie's name with love in every letter.
Just as Hobbes finished what he was saying, Calvin quickly got into his official cartoon underpants, his socks, his shirt, and his official G.R.O.S.S. (Get Rid Of Slimy girlS) hat.
"Let's go." Calvin said in a dash, trying to go to his tree house and watch Susie and cream her with water balloons.
"Don't you need your pants to start a meeting?" Hobbes asked.
"What, and go through all that trouble?" Calvin snapped. "Now come on, let's go already."
"Alright then." Hobbes said sarcastically. Of course, Hobbes was right, for Calvin's mom told him to get pants on.
"Go get some pants on!" Calvin's mom said. "We MIGHT have company!"
"Alright, alright, I'm going!" Calvin said in spite as he went upstairs, stomping.
Back in Calvin's room, Calvin said angrily, "Jeez; you'd think we WOULD have company!"
"Didn't you hear anything she said?" Hobbes asked shocked.
"Usually, when someone talks about stuff like that, I tone them out after the first word." Calvin said confidently.
"Does that mean you cut my voice out of your mind?" Hobbes interrogated
"Uhhh," Calvin sheepishly hummed. "Come on, let's go already."
Finally Calvin got on some pants, he darted down the stairs and across the room to the door, and when he opened it, and there was another kid on the other side.
The kid was about six years old, had blue eyes, and had on the same clothes Calvin had.
"Hi, Calvin," said the completely random kid. "My name is Jack Niffe. I just moved here, and I wanted to…"
"Sorry, we don't want any." Calvin said as he slammed the door.
"Calvin, who was that?" Hobbes asked.
"How should I know? Come on, we can sneak out the back." Calvin slowly replied.
As they were heading out the back way through the kitchen, Jack Niffe was right in front of them. "I want to play with you," Jack says, as if he was finishing his sentence.
"But how did he…" Calvin said to Hobbes "How did you…" He then says to Jack.
"Relax," Jack said. "I only want to be your friend."
"Look," Calvin said in frustration, "Jack, if I play with you, will you get out of my hair?
"Only if you want me to be after were through," Jack says happily.
Hobbes was starting to wonder about Jack Niffe. Was he there to really be his friend, or was it a trap by a bet or joke? Hobbes has been to school, and each time, no one but him would play with Calvin. Hobbes also realized that if he was new, how would he know about him?
"Calvin, I don't think you should play with him." Hobbes said, worried.
"Relax," Calvin said. "What I'm going to do is…"
What will Calvin do to poor Jack Niffe? Well, I'm still working on it. But in the meantime, I hope you all understood that Jack Niffe and "Jack knife" were the same.
If you like it, tell me. Same goes for if you don't, for I can end it all. You'll just have to finish it. (Maniacal laughter.)
