As always, the girls were sitting in a circle. Rena was just lying down on the rug, feeling tired of running all day. Maybe they should start exercising every morning instead of playing around. She was fine with this before. "Well… I don't see Eve today… or Elsword," she said, recalling her moment of running around the town with Noah.
Aisha and Nisha were still talking about the books they read. Nisha didn't read much, so she listened to Aisha instead. She only managed to read one book in a whole day.
Ara already put her ring in the box and kept it in a safe place for the night. She got flustered every time she remembered it.
"I heard from Chung, Ara. Congratulations!" Lu shouted and gave her a hug. She grabbed Ara's hand to look at her ring, but it was nowhere to be seen. "Ooh, already treasured it in a safe?"
Ara shook her head, her face getting redder overtime. "I don't want to damage it while sleeping, that's all!"
"Huh, what?! You guys are engaged?!" Rena jumped and regained all her energy at once. She pulled Ara into her arms and patted her head. "You grew up so fast! Congrats!"
"Congrats!"
"T-Thank you guys," Ara smiled and eventually laughed. She didn't know what to feel anymore. She wanted to change the subject because she felt like her head could explode from the blood rising to it all the time. "Lu, what's this curse?"
Lu explained the same thing that she did to her group. They just nodded, believing it could be dangerous and willing to help her. "I'm sure the other demons will notice this, so they should be attacking us… maybe tomorrow morning. They shouldn't be able to come here in a short time," she said as she looked out the window. She didn't sense any demons. Not yet.
"Alright, let's go! I'll help!" Elesis nodded and got excited for battle. She felt like it was the only thing she was good at.
"Potion!" Rena opened the cream potion in her hand.
"Rena!"
Click! Slam!
Elsword opened the front door without any care of people sleeping at 3 in the morning. Eve just sighed and shook her head, not knowing what to do about it, since it already happened.
"Welcome back. I'm going to sleep," Chung closed his novel and walked away from them.
"Why are you still awake?!" Elsword shouted at him. She kissed Eve's cheek and wished her a good night's sleep before going upstairs.
Eve's cheeks turned red. Her boyfriend never failed to make her system overheat. She went back to the girl's bedroom with a smile while checking what kind of potion that they used.
On the second floor, Elsword went to his room. Chung already laid down on the bed, but Elsword smacked his arm. "Hey, what's this potion? The voices in my head disappeared," he said and stared at his hands, "And I feel weaker. Smack me, I need to know–"
Slam!
Chung was surprised with his sudden strength. He just sent his friend flying to the wall and made him fall unconscious. He decided to sleep and pretend nothing happened.
Ability Change: Your ability is suddenly changed! Surely you can adapt to it in no time, right?
The morning was really loud, especially in the backyard. Rose couldn't keep sleeping, even if she wanted to. She got up, picked up her weapons and walked to the backyard, preparing for battle.
But it was just the boys with… something she was unfamiliar with. They were part of the gang, but they seemed really different.
Add approached her and told her to fly with her wings. As he expected, Rose couldn't do it. "We have a change of ability while we're going to a battle. You girls are weird," he commented and showed pink geometric prism shapes from his hand.
Eve walked toward them. Apparently she went home really late, but still unfortunately got affected by the potion. "I'll be fine. I can control my ability," she smiled and grabbed Rose's hand. She always shared each other's ability during their meetings with their counterparts, so this was easy for her. "Let's train and find out yours!"
Clank!
"What the hell?! What is that strength?!" Elsword yelled and slashed his sword. There was an unfamiliar golden ability from him. It was really a contrast to his usual ability.
"I've never seen that before," Rose commented and pointed at Elsword.
Eve giggled and nodded her head in agreement. "You know there's always 4 of you and only 3 of us when we meet our other selves? Maybe that's the Elsword we've never seen before."
Smack!
"I don't know. I'm going to work anyway," Chung said as he casually destroyed the ground with his cannon.
"I need my Nasod arm and I don't like it," Raven said with an annoyed tone. He clenched his Nasod arm into a fist.
Punch!
A dark teal spell was casted in front of Raven, surprising him. It was Ain, hating on his ability that he needed to control for the sake of protecting Ara in case something happened.
On the other hand, Ciel didn't do anything. He was in the corner with Noah, patting the crying kid's back. "I-I can't heal anymore… I'm useless…" Noah sobbed and curled into a ball.
After looking around, Rose faced Eve, who looked a bit different. Instead of her Nasod wings, they were bright blue wings. "I… doubt you need a lot of time, Rose. You seem to be able to use all your weapons."
Rose nodded her head and tested each weapon by shooting Eve while she flew around. She finally found the gun that seemed to be enhanced more than the others. "Alright. I got this," she smiled and checked her other devices.
A robot was summoned, quite big but not big enough to be ridden. "Nice! You got this!" Eve was impressed with it and kept telling Rose to attack.
Ara got up to see what was happening in the backyard. She got excited, she transformed to her fox form and started attacking Ain. "Ah, I feel different," she gripped her spear and tried to know her abilities.
Noah finally stood up with a smile. "Ara, congratulations! We heard the news!"
"T-Thank you!" Ara smiled back with a flustered face. She faced Ain and did basic attacks to try to find her abilities. She felt nothing new.
"Try a magic attack," Eun suggested.
Ara couldn't think of a magic attack, so she casted her energy orb. It felt stronger and darker, she kept casting it until she got used to it. "Nice darkness you got there, Ain. It's not you at all!" she smirked and poked his pendulum with her spear.
Lu came to the backyard, still rubbing her eyes after sleep. "Why are you guys so noisy in the morning?"
Ciel called her and explained the situation. Lu nodded her head, understanding while trying to find out their abilities. She sat on Ciel's lap and looked at Noah. "Why do you look so sad?"
"I can't heal anymore…" Noah sobbed, trying to stop himself from crying.
"Guys, what is this–"
Rena stopped her own words when she remembered she used a potion last night. She forced herself to laugh and approached her friends on the corner. "Why are you guys here?"
Several blue spears were summoned and aimed randomly at whoever was in front of Lu. Rena jumped up to dodge it, but the spear turned around and followed her.
Clank!
Noah parried it almost in time. His left cheek got cut by it before it disappeared completely. Lu got up with sparkling eyes. "That's it! Ciel, did you feel it? Let's try something!"
The duo demon joined the others in training. Rena sighed and took out her handkerchief to wipe the blood on Noah's cheek. She noticed the kid's eyes and nose were red from too much crying. And the most important thing: there was no sign of food or drinks. "Noah, what's wrong? What happened?"
Noah gripped his sickle tightly. His body was trembling, he couldn't shed any tears anymore. He said the same thing over and over again. Rena couldn't really understand him, but she hugged him and patted his back. "It's alright. Healing isn't the only way to save people," she said and let Noah look at their friends. "Kill the enemy before it hurts people works too."
"Would that really work?" Noah asked and looked up to face Rena.
"It would! You're not alone," Rena smiled and nodded her head. She didn't really know what kind of nonsense she was making, but it seems to be working.
"Then I need to be fast!" Noah shouted with a smile. Instead of training, he went back inside to grab his snacks and watch the others. He needed the energy first.
Let's stop for a bit here. This is the list of the abilities they have, just in case it's getting confusing. Uh, no, Raven isn't here to do the reminder because he's griefing over his Nasod arm.

Before they splitted into 3 groups, they trained a bit more before engaging in battle. Ara, Ain, and Chung still went to work, despite what's going to happen. Ain said they would guard the town in case something happened.
The first group was Elsword, Eve, Aisha, and Nisha. They went to the north side of the town. Elsword could detect the demons, so the others were following him. "I thought you wouldn't be able to detect demons anymore," Eve commented while she looked at him.
"I'm feeling a lot of El energy. It's kinda weird," Elsword scratched his head in confusion. He absorbed Dark El too much, but today was completely different. The voices in his head were actually gone too.
Aisha turned around and walked backwards. There were a lot of pink clouds with a smiley face as their trail. "What are those, Nisha?"
Nisha shrugged. "No idea, but Laby loves them. She likes the pink stuff," she smiled and summoned a huge pink bubble. She threw it forward, it bounced like a ball.
"Hm… I don't have a pink element," Aisha muttered as she casted a lot of different spells. There was fire, ice, wind, lightning, and more. But none of them was pink.
"Laby likes your pink hair," Nisha giggled and traced her finger on Aisha's twintails.
"It was purple though. Glad she likes it!" Aisha smiled and let Nisha touch her hair.
"Elsword, I don't sense anything. Are they coming from somewhere else?" Eve asked with a worried look. She shouldn't be able to sense it anyway, but her radar got nothing too.
Elsword gripped his sword tightly. "They're coming this way. How about more training?"
"I'll be fine~!" Aisha showed a smug on her face, casting a lot of different spells as a warm up. She wasn't used to it yet, but sometimes the gang forgot that she's smart. Casting her new abilities wouldn't be a huge problem for her.
As for Elsword and Nisha, they're still trying to find out what exactly they were doing. Nisha didn't feel powerful, but she felt a surge of energy when she casted some spells. "I got your back. I don't think I'm on the offensive role with this," Nisha nodded and spun, creating a pink tornado.
The others felt light, so they could move faster than before. "Oh, that's nice! Let's try something," Elsword smiled and rushed toward Nisha for a spar.
Eve approached Aisha and poked her shoulder. "Should we spar too for a warm up?"
The second group was Add, Rose, Rena, and Noah. Add could scout by flying with his Dynamo. They went to the east side of the town. But unlike the first group, they were still not used to their abilities.
"It's been a while. I haven't used my bow that much," Rena said as she tried to shoot a random bird. She kept missing and got embarrassed about it. Eventually the bird would fly further away out of her reach.
"Shoot me instead," Noah said with open arms. Several black cats came out around him. "And my shadows. We'll be your target practice."
Rena's eyes sparkled in excitement, but not because of Noah's help. It was because of her imagination of Noah with cat ears. "Thanks! Get ready!"
"I have a lot of devices here. Feels like Nisha with her friends," Rose said and analyzed each of her devices. She had to know their use before using it randomly and causing harm to her friends.
Add sighed and landed on the ground. He saw the demons coming, but instead of practicing, he sat on his Dynamo and looked at the screens from one of his devices. It was information about his own ability. "What are you searching for?" Rose asked and poked Add's cheek with her fingers from the back.
"A device to boost the rest of my devices. There should be one," Add muttered and searched around until he found the device that was missing before.
The third group was Lu, Ciel, Raven, and Elesis. Lu and Ciel already sensed the demon on the west side of the town. Elesis and Raven had been sparring non stop while waiting for the demons to come. There was a lot of fire from both of them, but mostly from Elesis.
"I got this, no problem!" Elesis shouted and casted flames on her sword. The desert felt hotter with her around.
"I'll never get used to this," Raven sighed and clenched his Nasod arm. He left it for too long, but now he had to rely on it.
"Isn't it weird, Ciel? We were talking about how both of us were separated individuals last night," Lu giggled and summoned a lot of blue spears. Apparently they couldn't function properly without each other.
Ciel patted Lu's head with a smile. "Don't worry, Lu. Just tell me what to do. I'm always by your side."
"Hmph, funny coming from someone who left me for a date," Lu teased him with a smirk.
The south side of the town was just water. They relied on their luck and prayed real hard no demons came from there. In the middle of the town, Cobo Cafe was in business like nothing happened. Aside from some of their tools missing because they were actually demon's disguises, everything else was fine.
"It's not fine here."
But Ain stated otherwise. Unlike the disguised demons, he felt demonic energy surrounding them. Lu's spell was splitted all across the town, it shouldn't be as strong as the original one. Some of them might have survived and showed their true selves inside the town.
"Thank you, please come back again!" Ara bowed down to the leaving customers and waved her hands. She approached Ain, who had been doing nothing much but staring outside the window. "What's wrong?"
Ring!
They greeted the new customer, who was their own friend. "Noah, why are you here?" Ara asked with a smile and approached their friend.
"Ara, don't touch him!" Eun warned her. Ara stopped in front of Noah, but still smiling to not cause any suspicion.
"I… lost them," Noah muttered with a sad look.
Chung glanced at Noah, preparing his left hand to materialize his cannon while his right hand was carrying a customer's order. Ain held his shoulder from the back and stopped his step. "I'll handle it. Act natural," he said before he approached Noah and grabbed him outside to the alleyway.
"A-Ain, it hurts!"
Ain slapped Noah's hand and glared at him. "You won't fool me again."
Dark teal eyes appeared around them. Ain didn't hesitate to kill Noah, who eventually turned into its real form, a demon. He sighed heavily, looking at his uniform to make sure nothing splattered on it. He left the corpse and went back to the cafe.
"Did… you send our friend home?" Ara asked with a forced smile.
"Yes, he's home and safe," Ain answered and narrowed his eyes at the window. "We might find more of our friends later."
Luriel came out from the kitchen and switched the door sign to "CLOSED". Her skin turned pale and she was sweating. "I-It's currently not safe here. There's something weird in the kitchen," she said and tried her best to not scare her customers. But her whole body was trembling in fear.
Ara smiled and grabbed Luriel's hand tightly. "I'll escort you home. We'll take care of the cafe," she said and patted her boss' back to calm her down. She faced Ain, asking if it's okay for her to leave first.
Ain nodded his head. Even though he's worried, he knew Ara wasn't a random warrior that could be beaten by a surprise attack. She even had a better reflex than him. He sighed, going to the kitchen to check what Luriel was talking about.
It was a red slime coming out from one of the jars, moving like a heartbeat. Ain approached it and killed it easily with his hand. The slime screamed and eventually became a smoke, slowly disappearing.
"Ain, I'll see you later!"
Ain walked out of the kitchen quickly. Chung was escorting their last customers home. It was peaceful a while ago, so when did the demons start their attack? Was it the moment he killed the impostor?
He checked every corner of the cafe to make sure nothing unusual is around anymore before locking it. He flew and dashed in the air, trying to spot his fiancee.
The desert became a blood pool in a short time. Eve gracefully dominated the battle with her lasers. It aimed at them at high speed, killing everything in sight. While Aisha backed her up with her elemental magic, clearing the part Eve hadn't reached yet.
Elsword and Nisha were still not able to fully master their abilities, but they did enough to prevent the demons from going into the town. The army was deleted and their victory was declared.
For now.
"The town seems weird. Let's go!" Elsword waved his hands to his friends and rushed back to the town. Nisha wasn't sure what happened, but she followed him.
"Sometimes his leadership is showing," Eve giggled and followed them from behind.
Aisha shrugged and blinked towards them to match their speed. "Nisha, give us that pink wind again!"
The spell to make them lighter was casted. "I'll go check the cafe first!" Eve shouted and went full speed to her friend's workplace. She wanted to see the usual cafe, but it was closed. The rest of the town was filled with demons and the people running away. She couldn't find anyone, but she found Ain dashing in the air. "Ain! Where are the others?" Eve asked and approached Ain quickly.
"I see Ara there," Ain said as he pointed to a crowd. It was amazing that Ain could spot a single person in there. "Find Chung. I don't know where he is."
Eve nodded and scouted the town from above. Should she just shout and call his name? He did hear her eavesdropping before, right? "Chung, where are you?! Give me a sign!"
Crack!
There was a sound of a ground cracking near her. She followed the sound and found Chung with… his maid uniform smacking a demon. "Did you not bring your armor…?" Eve asked while trying to not laugh, but defeating the other demons at the same time.
"I did, but it's easier to move without it," Chung replied with a straight face. The armor would slow him down and the demons were already showing themselves. He'd be late if there's any danger. He ran forward, smacking another human-looking demon that was trying to blend in with the townspeople.
"Lead the way, I'll help you," Eve said and attacked the demons around her easily with lasers.
"I can only detect the obvious ones–"
"Same here, but good enough!" Eve smiled and pointed to their left. "There must be something there. Let's go!"
Green arrows were shot at the crowd, but someone was there to quickly save them. Some people were still shot, but they were actually demons and slowly died to it.
"Oh, guys!" Rena called and approached them. The one that saved the people was Noah, who was standing behind Rena. "We need a way to spot them all, any ideas?"
"Add and Rose would be fine there, so we went back here. None of us can control our power properly, so… I shoot arrows and Noah grabs the real people out of my range! Real people behave differently when shot," Rena continued with a grin and made a thumbs up with her left hand. Noah nodded, feeling proud of their weird method.
"Well… we can't," Eve sighed and looked around her. The demons were able to bypass her radar, so she couldn't tell the differences. On the other hand, Chung seemed to be able to find the real demons… somehow. "Chung, seriously, lead the way. I don't know how you did it."
Chung looked away from them. He could tell because of that day when Elsword took him to kill demons. He almost shot Lu too. But thanks to that, now he could tell which one was real and which one was fake. "Follow me. Tell me if you see something weird," Chung said to his friends and led the way to wherever they went. He didn't have any plans anyway.
The fight with demons was just a mere date for Add and Rose. They managed to control their devices properly, taking down the whole army easily. There were explosions here and there because of Rose, but it looks fine overall. Add could cast a lot of devices, but they didn't make as many messes as Rose's.
"Alright, that should be the last one! Well done, cutie~" Rose smirked and pinched Add's cheeks. She suddenly felt tired when the battle was over. Even so, she couldn't rest yet. The town seemed safer than before, but there would be a lot to check.
"Shut up. Let's go," Add walked away with a flushed face. Rose giggled and walked alongside him. She kept teasing him, making his face go redder and redder until they arrived at the town.
Lined dark orbs appeared in front of them, killing everything in sight. "Sorry about that!" Eun shouted and approached them. Ain, who was in his spiritual form, ignored their presence and kept hunting the demons. With his unusual scythe, he looked more like a grim reaper.
"There are more demons than we thought here. Are you guys able to tell them apart?" Eun asked with a serious look. She was still looking around, trying to find the source of a demonic presence she was sensing.
"Of course. It's obvious to me," Add answered and turned around to check the other place. Rose was confused with it, but she followed her boyfriend.
"Hmhm, that's nice. He got the brain," Eun smiled and walked the opposite way.
"Why are you crossdressing and attracting people's attention?!"
Elsword grabbed Chung's shoulders and asked for his reasons, but all he got was "it's easier and faster to move around without armor". He never thought his best friend would do something so ridiculous for a really serious moment.
"How do we do this? I can't spot them," Nisha asked the important question. Their main problems were spotting the demons.
"It's easy~! Someone come with me. The others go with Elsword," Aisha winked and turned around to move quickly. There was no time to waste. Nisha immediately followed her from behind.
"Wait! We're coming!" Rena shouted and grabbed Noah's hand to follow the magician.
It left Elsword with Eve and Chung. "Now I'm a third wheel. Just ignore me and do your thing," Chung sighed and waited for Elsword and Eve to move. He'd rather follow them from the back.
Elsword smirked and started walking. Golden wings appeared on his back, his eyes turned cyan, and his appearance was looking similar to Ain years ago. Eve remembered Ain like this, but it felt weird to see Elsword with it. "We only have a few demons to hunt. Almost there!"
The west desert of Sander actually went hotter than usual. With all the messes, it became a disaster. At least the demons were finally disappearing.
Lu pouted and stared at the demons. "Alright this time for sure, Ciel. One, two, three!"
A huge blue wave appeared to clear what's in front of them, killing the remaining demons. Lu and Ciel had trouble doing their teamwork, even though that's how they usually fought. Instead of fighting together, they had to fight as if they're one individual.
Raven didn't help much. He knew perfectly that most of his power came from the Nasod arm. But he had been neglecting it for too long, he couldn't use it properly even after hours. "I'm sorry, I wasn't helpful."
Elesis sighed and wiped her sweats. She wasn't used with her fire magic either, but she had the most control out of them all. She learned really quickly, dominating the battle with flames. They were still around her as she finally fell down.
Raven managed to catch her before she fell to the sand. "I-I'm sorry. I'm just really tired…" Elesis laughed it off, but she couldn't hide her expression. She let Raven carry her with both his hands.
"Thank you so much, Elesis! We're actually dead here," Lu smiled as she jumped on Ciel's back and told him to carry her. They walked back to the town to see everything was… a mess, but peaceful. Some stores were back open.
"Oh, there you are!"
Elsword ran toward them with a smile. "Good work, guys! Let's relax in the hot spring. Nisha will heal your injuries. The others are waiting already!"
"Hm… hot spring? I'll make it hotter! Let's go!" Elesis jumped down from Raven's hands and raised her hands. Somehow she regained her energy after hearing the words.
