The next day was the day everyone was waiting for; the start of finding the story's plot.
Aisha took Ara's suggestion and challenged Noah, the elemental magic teacher, for a fight. Colosseum–the school's arena–was the place for them to do the challenge with all their magic. Some students came to watch the fight, including the main and side characters.
"The rule is simple: Whoever loses unconsciousness first will be defeated!" Noah smiled at her student; Aisha. She pointed to her staff and charged her mana and magical power. It would be nice to see this one specific student graduate.
"Sounds easy to me! Let's go then?" Aisha smirked and gripped her magic staff. She already had some plans in mind, just needed an opportunity to execute one of them.
The audience expected a cool show, but sadly they witnessed chaos instead. Everything was going on in the arena. They saw blizzards from the sky, then suddenly meteors came out. The wind was stronger than usual, making the fire go wilder, but somehow a statue was standing still strongly. The sky was clear and sunny, but thunder was appearing.
"No dark element? Shameful," Ara commented as she narrowed her eyes at the arena. No, there's not a single dark and light element. And the fighters calm themselves masters of elements. Truly shameful behavior.
"Nature? Where's nature? Is that Rena exclusive?" El asked with a disappointed look. But no, there's also not a single nature element. Truly disappointing behavior.
"Maybe wind counts as nature," Add said, trying to appreciate the fighters while he couldn't see what was happening.
Lu snapped her fingers and smiled proudly. "I'm sure Aisha got the lewd element. She's a pervert, after all!" she shouted and nodded her head at her own idea. Ciel also supported her by saying it was true, even though he wasn't sure about it. The demon faced the author and raised her hand. "Bring it, author! The lewd element!"
Alright, it's rated T anyway.
When the chaos stopped for a while, both Aisha and Noah realized their clothes were being torn apart. Their sleeves were burned, leaving the shirt that was still able to cover their breasts. Noah still had her skirt, but Aisha's skirt was almost ripped off entirely. Both of their faces flushed red, but the challenge must continue.
"Now this is content! Finally something good to watch!" El smiled happily and got up from his seat. He ran out of the Colosseum and called all the students. "Everyone! They're losing clothes, come watch!"
Aisha felt she could faint anytime from embarrassment. But if this was Noah's plan, then she would lose the challenge. She had to ignore it and continued as if nothing happened.
Another chaos was happening, but this time, the audience were cheering them on. Who knows if they would be naked at the end?
Aisha was still casting her spells, but it felt like there would be no progress even if it went on for a year. She changed her plan; despite all the spells that were casted into the arena, she blinked closer to Noah. There had to be an element that could defeat everything.
Of course, this was part of her plan too. If this didn't work, then she just had to do something else. She finally got close enough to Noah, blinking for the last time for her last best element.
Smack!
Yes, that's right. Just smack your opponent with your weapon.
She didn't have to use much power, as long as she knew the softest spot of the head to make someone unconscious. And she did it; Noah fell into the ground and passed out. Before all the spells ended, Rena already appeared in front of her and hugged her tightly, covering most of her body with the robe.
The audience cheered for Aisha, who just won the battle in a few minutes. She finally realized why Rena was hugging her and why the cheers went louder; she lost all her clothes and left naked.
"KYAAAAA!"
While Aisha ran away instantly after getting her spare clothes, Els and Eve were asking the other teachers for a challenge. The Colosseum was free to use now. Els had stalled for too long anyway. "Rena?" Els called the certain teacher he was going to challenge for.
It didn't take a second for Rena to react to it. She immediately appeared behind Els and greeted him like she was always there. The elf smiled and nodded her head. "That's an interesting request. I accept your challenge."
Eve waved her hands at Raven, who happened to pass by (He's actually searching for wasted food, but let's not talk about his daily life). He approached the Queen of Nasods to get challenged instantly. "Let's go! I'm ready to graduate," Eve said with confidence, making both her drones float around her.
"Why don't we make it 2 vs 2?" Rena suggested, since Els and Eve had always been together. It wasn't against the rules either. The idea excited the couple as they turned their heads to Raven.
"No, I haven't eaten anything," Raven declined instantly and walked away. He said no and left.
So they decided to buy him food for the sake of the rare 2 vs 2 challenge.
"Aisha, congrats!"
Aisha covered the window with the curtain. Her whole body was still hot, but not because of the fire element, but because of embarrassment. El and Add were trying to celebrate her success by knocking the dorm's room window on the third floor. "Oh, come on, Aisha! It's not that bad, compared to the rest of the activity you did in the past!" El shouted and knocked on the window again.
"What do you mean by that?!" Aisha finally moved the curtain and opened the window, hitting both El and Add's faces. She didn't apologize and pouted at them, waiting for an explanation.
Pop!
But all she got was a trash of shiny and glittery small cut papers inside the room. "Can you explain confetti in a good way?!" El yelled at the author. They were definitely trying to celebrate Aisha's success, only to be defined really badly.
Slam!
Ara forced open the door, surprising Aisha who instantly turned her face around. She walked toward her roommate and handed out a bouquet from her back.
"Congratulations!"
Aisha grabbed the bouquet, finally burst out laughing. She was still embarrassed, but she was happy with the silly things her friends did. For some reason, her eyes felt watery, while she was confused with what just happened. "Aw, look at you. This will be the best confused laughter I've ever heard!" Ara smiled and hugged Aisha tightly.
"Looks fun. Can we enter the girl's dorm?" Add asked as he stared at his two friends hugging each other. But he had a mindset of "boys shouldn't enter a girl's place", except Rena's room. Now that he thought about it again, does that mean Rena counts as a male?
El didn't care about the rules and just dragged Add to the group hug. They're celebrating anyway, who cares about the rules now?
Ara yelped and broke the group hug. "I haven't closed the door!" she shouted as she tried to close it, but it was stuck on something. She used the chain lock instead, since she broke the door when she entered the room before.
Add walked toward the door and snapped his finger. The door closed by itself and locked properly without the chain lock. Turning objects back in time was his thing, but it still amazed the group.
"Are you leaving tomorrow?" El asked with, surprisingly, a sad look and a forced smile.
"I…" Aisha turned silent and faced her friends. They were waiting for her to finish her sentence, but she faced the author instead. "What do I even get from graduating?"
Well… Why don't you find out? I'm too old for this. Ra! I designed you to be stuck with whatever your age is! Help me!
It's me again, the second narrator… or should I say, narRAtor, I guess? Our author literally left because of a lack of ideas, so I'll be here to provide the information. Uhm… Let me see the script so far…
"Oh, what are these old papers?" El asked as he grabbed the script from the second narrator's hands. The Quadruplets looked at it while El skimmed them. "You have 10 chapters of the sequel already! Are these scrapped?"
"Geez, these would be good. Lacher was so interactive here, Aisha would love it so much," Ara commented as she looked around a random page of the pile of papers. Her eyes widened in surprise when she found a certain part she didn't like. "I was supposed to fight with Rena?!"
"We're all fighting against Rena and Add. That's such a bad plot," Aisha commented with disgust. Well, true, since we put friendship as the genre here.
Add tilted his head a bit and picked up the title of the scrapped sequel. "It's named Manipulation here. Is this title even relevant to our current case?"
"Well anyway," El burned down the whole old script with his fire magic. It showed some critical information about Lacher's identity, so he had to.
Aisha sighed and looked at the door. "I'll find it myself. Let me meet the principal later."
The Colosseum was crowded once again. It was a rare 2 vs 2 challenge. Both SSS students, Els and Eve, against the most fearful and magical teacher, Rena and the most struggling teacher, Raven. Why did Els even challenge Rena in the first place? Maybe there was indeed a way to win.
"Hilarious. I'm magical enough as a physical class," Rena flexed her inhuman ability and narrowed her eyes at her students. She had some students challenging her before, but they all failed.
"Technically you're an elf, not a human. Do your elf's things," Raven said as he pointed his finger at the students. He just got a meal, he didn't want to waste his energy. Maybe Rena could finish them off herself?
On the other side, Eve sighed heavily and faced her boyfriend. "Do you even have a plan?"
And she got a no as an answer. But she wasn't the Eve from the previous series; she was the Queen of Nasods, now fully functioning properly after maintenance and repair. She will no longer cower in fear and cry about her limit. "Don't worry, we don't need a plan since Rena can read our mind. Just go."
It sounded stupid, but it was an efficient solution. If Rena can read your mind, just don't think! How magnificent! Who would have thought?
And no, Raven is just considered a mob at this point. He didn't matter that much, just an extra for 2 vs 2.
Rena took a step forward and unleashed her sword. "Fair and square match, guys. I'm not teleporting."
"Uh huh, you're going to start teleporting soon," Eve smiled and nodded her head. A pair of Nasod wings was spread behind her back, making Els look really lame with the only sword he had in his hands.
Meanwhile in the audience, they were distracted by something else. But for Elesis, it was a normal day for her. The new presence everyone was looking at wasn't odd.
"She got wings like you!" Elesis smiled and pointed her finger at Eve.
Ain chuckled and clapped his hands. He didn't have the wings on his back at the moment, so the others were confused with Elesis' words. "Do you think so?"
"Don't you have some kind of fire wings, El?" Ara asked with a curious look. She swore she saw some kind of fire wings on El's back when he was fighting.
"Nope, only chicken wings," El answered and showed the bag of chicken wings in his hand. He stole Raven's money for it, hence the reason why Raven didn't have money for food before.
Lu narrowed her eyes in disgust while Ciel stared at the angel with killing intent. Ain could easily notice this aura and turned around to face them. "I'm not going to exorcist you or anything. Let's just be friends," Ain said with an ambiguous smile. It looked like he showed friendliness, yet people felt an opposing feeling behind it.
"Okay, cool. No hatred between angels and demons," Lu nodded her head, but she still doubted Ain. Who trusted people at first sight anyway?
"Hm…" El looked at both sides. He hadn't gotten the angel's secrets yet, but he knew about Lu. He can just draw a conclusion, even though it might be wrong. "Ain, did you attack Lu's army while she was in the process of being dethroned?"
"I did!" Ain answered with a wide smile. How could he forget that? It was such a beautiful memory of defeating one of the demon lords.
Lu pouted and folded her arms. "I knew it!"
"Friends, Lu. Friends," Ciel reminded his master about the plan. Now it would be harder to be friends with each other.
The battle didn't go as the challenges. Eve ended up fighting Rena because she knew better on how to be stupid. "Emptying my mind, author! That's different!" she yelled and protested to the second narrator. The narration triggered her to do irrational attacks; which was kinda good to fight Rena since it's based on feelings and not process of thinking.
Els and Raven were fighting, but only for the main characters to see. Raven's movement was fast enough to make it look like a random arrow being shot. "That's… What is that analogy?" Els asked with a confused look as he easily parried Raven's attack. "Maybe you need to eat more?"
"I believe I do. I'm still hungry," Raven answered, thinking about where to find leftovers for lunch. Colosseum would be a good place, since people were watching them. They might eat snacks and just leave it when the match is finished. In conclusion, the faster they finish the match, the more leftovers he could get. This motivated him a lot, Els noticed he was moving even faster.
Clank! Clank! Clank!
While this particular student did nothing but parry an attack, he kept looking at his girlfriend. She was still a bit mad with the narration paragraphs ago, but they were finally far enough from them. He swung his sword, making it longer with an aura and just hit his surroundings. This way, he didn't have to find out where Raven was.
Rena finally noticed what Eve was trying to do. She planted a bunch of traps, but it wasn't a problem for Eve. If she could lure Els to the place, it would be a huge advantage. She tried to read her mind once again, just in case the Nasod choked on her emptying mind session.
"I heard Raven had a girlfriend. A blonde woman with blue eyes. I wonder if the rumor was true."
"Huh?!" Rena got shocked with the 'news' she just read, leaving her completely defenseless. Eve smiled in victory, casting her Nasod spears and others to defeat Rena.
Slash! Slash! Clank!
Sadly Els didn't have his victory moment yet. Their battles were even, like none of them could defeat each other until one ran out of stamina. Food would be the best way to distract Raven, but would it work out now? Everything didn't always go well. "Raven! Your Nasod arm is acting odd!" Eve shouted as she approached Raven with a worried look.
Slash! Clank!
Raven tried to slice Eve in half, but Els managed to protect her. "My arm is fine! Are you trying to trick me?"
Eve pouted and moved away while thinking of a trick. Brute forcing her way would work, but it might take a long time. She looked around at the audience. "El got your wallet!" Eve made another attempt.
"It's his wallet at this point," Raven answered with a sad look. He finally got to attack Els after all the parries. Just attack faster.
Els finally noticed what Eve was trying to do. What could possibly be surprising news for everyone's beloved teacher, Raven? If food didn't even work, then there had to be something that was way more shocking. Both Els and Raven clashed their weapons, just like a typical anime scene when two people were about to talk in the middle of a battle. "I'm about to be friends with El. We talked about it last night," Els said with a smile.
And it did surprise Raven. Eve finally caught him off guard, and then they just bullied him until he surrendered.
"Is it true?" Add asked as he faced El.
"What do you mean? I can find people's secrets, not hearing from 84 Aras away," El answered with a confused look and pointed to the challengers who just won. There was clearly a long distance between him and the couple.
"Wow, you actually paid attention to my height!" Ara nodded her head and clapped her hands for the winners.
"Yeah, I know my friend's height so I can buy a proper coffin size for their grave," El replied with a smile. A year ago, El and Ara prepared a graveyard for Aisha if she failed to come back safely from a mission. It was still unused until this day.
"Can't you just bury them without a coffin?" Add asked with his usual straight face, but he's really curious about it. What happened to the people he killed anyway? Eaten by random wild animals?
"Make them a mummy!" Aisha smiled at them. The thought of turning a corpse into a mummy sounded exciting for her. It would be a good way to respect death too.
Lu hissed and hid herself behind Ciel. She looked at Aisha with one eye in disgust. "So you can do stuff to the dead body because they can't resist? Such perverted thoughts!"
Aisha was startled by it and narrowed her eyes at the demon. "You said that, not me!"
"Lu, don't give her ideas," Ciel sighed and patted Lu's head.
Thanks for reading!
