Welcome everyone to chapter two. We would like to say thank you to everyone who took the time to read some random account's story and especially to the ones who reviewed or favorited it.
Day One continues and Pyrrha is going to have a interesting breakfast and a different day of classes. The rest of the gang will continue having a strange day because of Pyrrha, now with added Team RWBY.
As a heads up this chapter is a very long one, the longest chapter we ever wrote, filled with less exposition, more talking, some introspection and even some action, though a lot less fluff, so be prepared for another read. We hopefully improved our writing style for this chapter, but my friend still describes it as a flood of unending sentences squished together into word walls, though with smaller paragraphs. The style itself we think fits the first few chapters at least, a constant slow-moving thought focused stream.
Also, a bit of a rough chapter, like with Chapter 1, we have plans of rewriting it if we have the time.
Anyway, welcome to our story, we hope you like it.
Of course, we do not own RWBY and we won't make even a nickel from this story, it's all for fun, playing in RoosterTeeth's sandbox.
Onwards to A Second Chance.

Chapter Two – After a Dream or Vision? A Second Chance. The First Day Part 2 A School Day
Ruby was happily entering the cafeteria with her team, very hungry as she didn't have a lot to eat for dinner and didn't have any snacks either, just now noticing a lot of whispering and hushed voices. Along with a few loud "What's" being yelled here and there.
She looked around at what was going on and saw Weiss staring wide eyed in front of her. "Weiss? Hello? What's up?" she asked waving her hand in front of Weiss's face. All she got was some random sputtering from her. Ruby looked over to Yang to see if she had any answers only to see Yang staring ahead with a slight head tilt, as if confused. Huh, so that's two and with Blake already gone to their table to keep reading her book Ruby would not be getting any quick answers.
Ruby looked around at what could be causing Weiss and Yang to react so strangely. Students hanging around, Nora trying to empty a whole container of cereal with Ren trying to stop her, more students talking, some guy on the ground after what seems like tripping over a quarter staff that was laying on the floor, Pyrrha and Jaune standing pressed together arms wrapped around each other's arm, the janitor trying to catch what looked like a thrown or catapulted tray of food, some fourth years messing around.
Ruby's eyes opened up, wait what was that, Jaune and Pyrrha. Her eyes jumped back to them, standing in front of the lunch lady giving their orders. Jaune and Pyrrha were standing right beside each other, arms linked, shoulders pressed together, was Pyrrha leaning all her weight against Jaune?
Ruby scratched her head, that was weird, she wondered when Jaune and Pyrrha got so close, she felt a bit sad that they didn't tell her, and some other sadness, like she lost something. Ruby really didn't like that feeling, but she didn't know why she was feeling it. She shook her head and looked at Pyrrha and Jaune again, what happened during the night that could have caused this?
Just yesterday Jaune was talking about some idea that he had that would guarantee that Weiss would agree to a date with him, but that with the midterms coming up he had no time to start his plan. Ruby, like always, was fairly sure that Weiss wouldn't agree to any date with Jaune, but she didn't know why, Jaune wasn't a bad guy, he was fun and nice and was always up to play video games and read comics. Though now that Ruby thought about it, that may be the reason, Weiss was just too uptight.
Ruby looked over to Weiss again, she was still staring wide eyed at them, was she blinking? That sight must be strange for her. And Ruby was back to feeling somewhat off herself. Strange. Sad? She copied her sister unknowingly and tilted her head focusing even more on Pyrrha and Jaune. Did she have to hold Jaune's arm so tight, it looked like Jaune kept twitching his arm up like he was trying to move it. Pyrrha pressed up closer to Jaune again when they moved down the line. Maybe nothing happened between them and it was all Pyrrha, doing something to Jaune. Why was she feeling a bit happy and angry at that?
Ruby narrowed her eyes and came to the decision that she would have to talk with Jaune. Jaune wouldn't lie to her. And if it was Pyrrha trying something or doing something that Jaune didn't want then Ruby would help her first Beacon friend and best boy friend. Though it was Pyrrha, could Pyrrha do anything bad or mean and do that to Jaune... Ruby scratched her head again, Pyrrha and bad didn't fit, she was the nicest person Ruby ever met. Could there be some other reason, but what if…?
Ruby nodded to herself and started to walk to the line to grab some food and to join Jaune and Pyrrha at the table. As she got into line, she focused on Pyrrha and narrowed her eyes, she would ask Jaune to see what was happening and go from there, while in her thoughts she did not even notice Yang stopping beside her and looking at her with a smirk on her face.
Yang was staring ahead at Jaune and Pyrrha in some confusion, oh she knew that Pyrrha had something of an appreciation or even crush on Jaune, but with how they were standing together, it looked like they got together, like they were a couple. Just yesterday they were only friends, true, they were very good friends, but Jaune was chasing after Weiss. Even yesterday Ruby told her that Jaune had this plan that he would be starting after midterms to try and get Weiss to date him. What happened to that? Yang had so many jokes and puns ready for it.
This, what was in front of her was too sudden. Yang felt like she missed something big and that concerned her, was it the jokes or ribbing that she didn't get to do. Something else? She shook her head and looked down at Ruby who was giving Pyrrha and Jaune a strange narrow eyed look while tilting her head. Yang felt her lip twitch up a bit, a suspicious Ruby was adorable. Though that look was something that Yang never saw on her sister's face before.
Yang gave out a sigh and looked back at Pyrrha and Jaune making their way down the serving line picking up food. If they did get together, that would cause a bunch of changes and from the looks on Ruby's and Weiss's faces, some uneasiness. Yang hoped that it wouldn't cause too many issues, she wasn't looking forward to the chance that Ruby's 'first Beacon friend and best boy friend, not like that Yaaaang' was Ruby's first proper crush.
Yang was also a bit confused herself, she knew that Jaune was a good guy, a bit too awkward and uncertain, but easy going and kind and a total dork. It's why she trusted him with Ruby. But what about that caught Pyrrha's interest? Hmmmm, Yang decided she would have to dig into that, and if her digging caused some funny reactions from Jaune or Pyrrha, then bonus.
Yang felt a smirk grow on her face and she quickly followed after Ruby. Today would have been a pretty boring day, just exam review, but now she had something interesting in her day, though she would have to keep an eye on Ruby to make sure she was okay. Yang stopped beside Ruby, a few people in line ahead of them to get food.
Yang looked down at her sister and she was still focused on Jaune and Pyrrha, but now with a determined look on her face. Yang's smirk widened, so Rubes had a plan, she would have to see where it went. Yang looked back up at the terrible choice of food, guess she was eating bacon again, not bad, but 3 days of bacon and/or sausage does start to get old. And Yang was not a salad or cereal kind of girl. What else could she get, she pondered as she and Ruby were one person away from ordering and Weiss joined them.
Weiss was feeling good since she woke up, she had a relaxing sleep, she was ahead in her studies and even Ruby and Yang, the queens of procrastination, were listening to her and studying. Also, Jaune hadn't annoyed her in a couple weeks and Pyrrha was considering training with her. So, all in all it was going pretty good for Weiss.
This day though was strange, during the walk down to the cafeteria she kept hearing whispers and feeling a weird atmosphere. Before she could really start to think what could be causing that, Weiss found out what, Pyrrha and Jaune, arm in arm, pressed up against each other so tight.
Weiss felt her mind just go blank, error out. She could not believe what she was seeing, Pyrrha and Jaune, the four-time champion and the loser, the goddess of victory and the worst first year fighter. How? When? Why? Weiss could not understand how that could happen, how could Jaune somehow trick Pyrrha into being with him. What did he do?
No. Wait. Didn't Yang say something about Pyrrha having a crush on Jaune? Weiss was trying to remember exactly what it was that Yang said a week or so ago, Yang went on and on about how close she got to ringing out Pyrrha, which Weiss was 100% certain did not happen, then after the fight Yang said that Pyrrha went off to training with Jaune and got all blushy when Yang started making jokes about Pyrrha wanting to "train" with Jaune. Wink and air quotes included. Weiss dismissed it as another exaggeration by Yang, but was it true? It was true? Did Pyrrha want to get together with Jaune?
Weiss started to shake her head, no that couldn't be true, what did Pyrrha see in that dolt, aside from the Arc name, Jaune wasn't all that smart, he was a terrible fighter, he was socially awkward, he was clueless and clumsy and, and. Wait, Jaune was after her the last she heard, Ruby and Yang were talking about some plan that Jaune told Ruby about, that after midterms he would somehow use that plan to get her to agree to a date with him. Would Pyrrha agree to help Jaune ask her out? Pyrrha never got all that involved in Jaune's plans to ask her out. Weiss couldn't really see Pyrrha agreeing to be Jaune's arm candy for some plan of his.
Weiss took a few calming breaths, okay, could Pyrrha and Jaune being arm in arm be some plan of his to get a date with her, probably not, so either they got together or something else was going on.
Weiss didn't know why she felt such shock and annoyance at the thought of them together. Jaune was supposed to be after her, ever since he saw her, he flirted with her and only her, even when Yang flirted with him for fun Jaune didn't flirt back, and from what she knew he didn't even try to approach other girls. What happened? If they got together did Jaune give up on her, no, from what Ruby said he didn't, so then, what happened? Did Pyrrha say or do something to get Jaune, if so, why and how. And why did that thought bug her so much. Every time she thought about Pyrrha and Jaune together it just annoyed her.
Weiss thought that she would be happy to be finally rid of Jaune asking her out, maybe she was, but that he moved on so quickly was what was bugging her, or that he went for Pyrrha? What did Pyrrha have that she didn't? Did that mean that Jaune wasn't serious about her if he could change his mind in a night? Weiss felt herself get angry at Jaune, she had to suffer, no maybe endure, 2 months of Jaune asking her out and giving her looks and now without even apologizing or accepting her no, he moved on to Pyrrha. What? Did Pyrrha just flick her hair at him or show off her breasts and he came running to her.
Weiss took a breath, surprised where her thoughts were going and a bit sad, which annoyed her even more, why was she sad, that Jaune might not have been serious about her? That he was just another guy flirting with her? A guy who didn't care about her as a person. Left her for the first girl to look his way. Weiss held back a sigh and shook her head to try and clear her thoughts.
Weiss was surprised that she felt that way about Pyrrha, someone she admired greatly and saw as similar to her, fed up with fame and pressure. Someone she could talk to and get understanding from. But it didn't turn out that way. Pyrrha stayed away from her and stuck to Jaune for some reason. Weiss was surprised she had such bitter feelings toward Pyrrha. She shook her head again to clear her thoughts and center herself, it did no one any good to see a Schnee in such a mood.
Weiss saw Ruby walk off to get in the line for the hot food, followed quickly by Yang. Weiss quickly walked after them. Okay, maybe they weren't together Weiss thought, something else could be going on, but what would cause Pyrrha and Jaune to hold each other's arms like that?
As Weiss moved to stand beside Yang, she decided that she would ask him as soon as she sat down. This behavior needed an explanation and fast. And if they did get together, Jaune would need to explain himself to her. Weiss thought with a frown as she looked at Pyrrha and Jaune walking over to the table with Blake sitting at it and sitting down.
Blake was happily reading her book, the fifth one in the Ninja's in Love series, when she heard someone sit down at the table with her, she looked up and saw Pyrrha and Jaune sit down in front of her with three trays of food. She responded to their Hi and went back to reading. Wait. Blake looked back up and saw Pyrrha and Jaune sitting right beside each other, their arms looped together. When did this happen? Blake wasn't one to listen to school rumors or care about other student's personal lives, but Jaune going after Weiss was what was happening. When did that change?
And why would Pyrrha and Jaune get together? Blake knew that Jaune and Pyrrha were good friends and getting closer, but what did Pyrrha see in Jaune? Sure, he wasn't a bad guy, her working with him on a project showed her, a bit too goofy for her taste, but them getting together all of a sudden was strange, it didn't track with what she knew of Pyrrha either.
Though Blake knew that she didn't know Pyrrha or Jaune very well, so she could accept that she didn't know their full personalities. So, she may be missing somethings that could have attracted Pyrrha to Jaune or caused Pyrrha to act out of character. Blake was pulled out of her thoughts by a question.
"So, you're not hungry this morning Blake?" Pyrrha asked with a small smile on her face, somehow managing to eat with both her hands while her right arm was loop with Jaune's left. It looked like Jaune was managing to eat was well.
"No, not especially, I'll get some sandwiches or salad later, once the lines die down." Blake replied with a curious look on her face, eyes going back and forth between them. She was remembering something that Yang said to Weiss, must have been a week ago, that Yang thought that Pyrrha had a crush on Jaune. Was that true? Would Pyrrha act on a crush so quickly? And what did Pyrrha do to make Jaune move on from Weiss? At least Weiss would be happy with that. Blake looked over to the rest of her team ordering food.
Pyrrha nodded back at Blake "Makes sense, the lines got long just a few minutes after we got here." She looked over to Jaune who nodded at her and then looked over to where Nora and Ren were. Pyrrha smiled at him, then went back to her food seeing Blake go back to reading her book.
Pyrrha looked up at Blake after a few bites of food and waited for any flashes of anything from the dream/vision/memories, but aside from the earlier dislike of Blake hugging Jaune and her dismissive attitude towards Jaune, Pyrrha didn't have any more negative feelings.
Well, Blake was the person she was least close to from the two teams, she and Blake never really talked or did anything together last time, will do nothing? Aside from maybe a few bookstore visits. Something that Pyrrha wanted to change this time around, she would be closer friends with Blake, have Blake appreciate Jaune and hopefully convince Blake to leave the White Fang alone.
Wait did the rest of them know that Blake is a Faunus yet? Pyrrha was sure that by the second semester they knew, but before that…. Wait the fight that Blake and Weiss had, will have, Jaune told her, will tell her, about it, Blake disappeared for a weekend before Ruby and the robot, android, Penny, found her and Sun attacking the White Fang. That didn't happen yet, so none of their friends apart from her knew that Blake is a Faunus and was once part of the White Fang.
Pyrrha quickly decided that Blake being a Faunus should be known about earlier and that it should come out in a better way than an argument. But how…. She could invite Blake to a training session with Jaune and tell her that she knew because of her last name, or that she saw in the shower… Hmmmm, something to think about.
Pyrrha kept eating but was focused on Blake. What would be the best way to have Blake tell everyone on the two teams that she is a Faunus? Pyrrha knew that Nora, Ren, Ruby and Yang would be no problem, maybe except for Nora wanting to rub Blake's cat ears. Jaune would also gladly accept Blake, Pyrrha suddenly remembered from the faded vision, dream, that last time he told her that he thought that Blake's cat ears were cute and looked soft.
Pyrrha was two minds about that fact, her annoyance growing a bit. She shook her head as she felt a sudden need to send a glare Blake's way because Jaune found something about her cute.
Thoughts back on track, Weiss was the main problem, not with Blake being a Faunus, but that she was part of the White Fang, but Pyrrha thought that she could find a way to ease Weiss into that fact. Though Pyrrha just wasn't sure that she wanted Weiss to spend so much time around Jaune. With her feelings starting to go further downhill to resentment and anger Pyrrha leaned even more of her weight into Jaune and felt his warm arm and side sooth her.
Jaune finally felt is blush go away as they sat down in front of Blake and he was surprised that he was somehow managing to eat with his left arm looped around Pyrrha's, he wasn't really surprised that Pyrrha was managing to eat, she was far more coordinated than he was. Jaune was also surprised that Pyrrha had a short conversation with Blake, it had to be maybe only the third or fourth time they had a talk that wasn't focused on schoolwork since the beginning of Beacon.
Jaune looked at Blake and was fairly happy that whatever happened to Pyrrha, he was sure that it wasn't a dream or nightmare, maybe it was a vision like Pyrrha said or something, looked like it didn't affect Blake. She at least looked and acted like her normal self so far, reading her book, being quiet, not eating until later.
Jaune was also pretty happy that his feelings towards Blake were also the same, that she was a quiet girl, cool and beautiful and somewhat aloof. Though Jaune wasn't all that close to Blake, he was closer to Ruby and Yang, so he didn't know her personality for certain, but he did learn a fair bit about Blake when they were assigned as partners for that project in Port's class.
So, all in all Jaune was fairly convinced that nothing was going on with Blake, but he would keep on eye on her as well. Okay so Blake, Ren and Nora were all acting the same so far, that left Weiss, Ruby and Yang to check. Hopefully it was only Pyrrha acting weird, and she would tell him why later. And if it was a vision or something, the details of what it was about.
Jaune was sadly starting to really enjoy feeling Pyrrha against him, her warm and soft and firm body…. Ugh, Jaune shook his head managing to see the rest of Team RWBY and Nora and Ren all making their way to the table. He really needed to get a handle on his pervy thoughts about Pyrrha.
Jaune looked at Pyrrha and saw her looking at Blake with a curious look on her face. Huh, that was weird too, generally Pyrrha and Blake didn't really do anything together, or even talk to each other much, hell he was closer to Blake than Pyrrha was and that was saying something. But before he could say anything Pyrrha started talking.
"So, Blake, if you have some free time this week or after the midterms, I would like your help with something." Pyrrha said, getting a pretty surprised looking Blake to look up from her book.
"Help with what?" Blake asked surprised and a bit suspicious, in the two months they knew each other Blake could count on one hand how many times she and Pyrrha talked to each other about something that wasn't schoolwork.
Something of a problem sure, but Blake still wasn't 100% certain what Pyrrha was about, she was too nice and kind and even awkward. And Blake wasn't sure if that was an act or the real Pyrrha, so far it seemed like the real Pyrrha, but Blake was still wary of her. Hell, she talked more with Jaune than Pyrrha.
Though Blake guessed that was because Jaune was a harmless goofy guy who looked like he couldn't lie or be mean to save his life. Pyrrha though, she was world famous and could very easily say something that could threaten her life here at Beacon.
Pyrrha smiled at Blake, "As you probably know Jaune and I train sometimes in private, it's always good to go over the basics as they help more in sparring or tournament matches than anything else. And I was thinking that you could help Jaune with his agility."
Pyrrha took a pause, so far Blake looked somewhat interested, maybe confused and a bit wary, if she was reading the look on Blake's face right. "As Jaune is more of a defensive focused, static fighter and as he only ever fought Grimm before, so he is still a bit uncertain on how to fight people. Between the two of us we should be able to show him how, and I would appreciate training against you as well. As you are probably one of the most agile fighters I have ever seen." Pyrrha ended with a smile.
She caught Jaune's look and nodded at him while smiling, she also squeezed his arm, trying to let him to know that she had a plan and wouldn't let Blake know any of their secrets. His secrets.
Blake blinked, surprised that Pyrrha would invite her to train with them and somewhat suspicious. Though she couldn't find any signs of deception on Pyrrha's face and Jaune looked even more surprised than she was, so her asking wasn't part of a plan with Jaune. Blake couldn't think of a good reason to say no, training with Pyrrha was an opportunity that everyone at Beacon would take and she would have to explain why she said no.
Also, Blake had the sudden thought pop up that she might finally find out what Jaune's deal is, from all the sparring matches it looked like Jaune had no real fighting experience, but he got accepted into Beacon, was made a team leader and for some reason had the attention of Pyrrha. He is a mystery for sure, one she would love to solve, like her favourite mystery novel, she thought while she looked Jaune up and down. Blake nodded "Sure, once we have some more time I would be glad to do some training."
Jaune was looking back and forth between Pyrrha and Blake very confused, Pyrrha inviting Blake to training with him? What? What was Pyrrha thinking? Sure, Blake is an amazing fighter and like Pyrrha said she is very agile, but Pyrrha always kept their training pretty secret. And why would Blake agree to the training?
Jaune saw Blake look at him and probably think not much of him. So, did she say yes to train with Pyrrha? Jaune felt Pyrrha squeezing his arm more and more and moving closer during his thoughts so he looked over to her and saw her giving him a smile before going back to eating. Wait what was that look she gave Blake?
Pyrrha kept smiling, trying to set Blake at ease, if her suddenly clear memories or vision was right then Blake was a very paranoid person and would be looking for some other reason for the invite. Huh, that was the second time that the faded vision, memories, suddenly became clear and detailed when she needed them to be. Something Pyrrha decided she would have to keep an eye on.
Blake agreeing made her happy, she could start her plans for Blake with no issues. The look Blake gave Jaune did make her uneasy, almost a too interested look, like Blake had some plan for Jaune.
Pyrrha felt her smile freeze for a moment, the hug that Blake gave Jaune, will give Jaune, still clear in her head, but Blake was never interested in Jaune right? Pyrrha tried to go through the faded memories/vision but aside from Blake's probable relationship with Adam, so wrong, and maybe something with Yang, possibly Sun, there were no other hints of relationships.
Though Blake only ever hugged Yang and Jaune, so hmmmm. In any case something Pyrrha had to keep an eye on and a risk she had to take to have Jaune improve and to have Blake be closer with Jaune and her. Pyrrha would just need to make it clear to Blake that Jaune was hers.
A sudden thought hit Pyrrha, so bad but potentially good, useful, though not the right thing to do. Pyrrha felt that the her from yesterday would have been shocked even considering what she was now thinking. If Blake was somehow interested in Jaune, even in just who he was, then she could use that to help them. Sure, it would mean keeping a even closer eye on Blake, but it would work towards her plan of having more people protecting each other and Jaune.
Also, it would mean having Jaune's training go faster…. But, it did open up the chance of Blake falling for Jaune. Pyrrha moved closer to Jaune and squeezed his arm even more while unknowingly giving Blake a very frozen look for a second.
Blake gave Pyrrha a small smile before she turned her attention back to her book, though right before she did she saw a look on Pyrrha's face the caused chills to run down her spine and her ears to press themselves down. That look that Pyrrha gave her for a split second before smiling at Jaune. What was that? Blake felt her whole-body shudder, hard cold eyes like chipped emeralds, a frozen smile.
She didn't think that Pyrrha could make any mean or angry faces, what the hell was with that face. Blake looked at her book without reading it, focusing on nothing. Was that the real Pyrrha or did she think about something bad.
Blake was surprised that Pyrrha's look could even cause her to react like this, but there was something very unsettling about it. Before she could dig any deeper the rest of her team and team JNPR sat down.
"Why Renny, it was marshmallows, why did I have to leave them for Dove of all people? He doesn't deserve marshmallows!" Nora yelled at Ren, miffed that he stopped her from taking all the marshmallows, with no pancakes she needed something. "Jaune as team leader tell Ren that I have to make sure that marshmallows go to deserving people." She said while chomping down on her cereal.
Ren shook his head "Nora, since when do cereal marshmallows rank the same a normal marshmallows?"
"On days with no pancakes, duh." Nora answered "Some days you are so forgetful Renny, are you okay?" she asked while putting her hand on Ren's face as if to check his temperature. Ren gave a good-humored sigh.
Jaune and Pyrrha chuckled while he said "Sure Nora, make sure that marshmallows only go to deserving people, but check who else wants the marshmallows before you take them."
"Of course Jaune-Jaune, but do you and Renny have to say the same things, ugh. Pyrrha you're with me, right?" Nora asked giving both Jaune and Ren a glare for daring to agree with each other.
Pyrrha gave Nora a big smile, so happy with how much all three of their interactions eased her lingering pain and darker feelings. "Sure Nora, you shouldn't let just anyone have marshmallows, they need to be deserving." She said while leaning even more of herself against Jaune's side. From the other side of the table, she saw Yang and Ruby laughing as well.
Nora gave Ren a triumphant look and when back to eating her cereal with extreme prejudice. Ren and Jaune both smiled at her. Pyrrha decided that she would play along with Nora more often if the feelings and smiles she got were because of it. Such happy feelings.
Yang felt her smile turn into a smirk as she saw Pyrrha still pressed up against Jaune, they still had an hour before they had to leave for class, so perfect time to dig in to what was going on. And a blushing Jaune was always a gift in itself. Plus, as Yang took a quick look at Ruby and Weiss, based on their staring, they wanted to know what was going on as well.
So, before any adorable stammering from Ruby or yelling from Weiss, Yang decided she would take the lead. Such work being the team's big sister/mom. "So, P-money, wanted to ask since I got to the cafeteria, what's up with you and Jauney boy? All close and together like." Yang asked while seeing the rest of the table all go still, Nora even stopped eating and Blake looked up from her book. Huh, even Blakey was interested.
Ruby smiled at Yang, she could always count on her big sister. She wasn't sure how to ask or even start the conversation with everyone around, so score, she didn't have to. Ruby turned her attention back to Jaune and Pyrrha, arms still looped, Pyrrha still pressed up against Jaune's side, somehow they were managing to eat. Ruby felt the same strange sadness and uneasiness as before. Pyrrha pressed up against Jaune like that was just too sudden, just wrong somehow.
Ruby wanted to know why. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Weiss staring intently at Pyrrha and Jaune, were her fists clenched? Was Blake interested as well? Ruby was really confused with what was going on. She refocused on Pyrrha and waited for the answer.
Pyrrha felt Jaune stiffen and saw the looks from the rest of the people at the table, Ruby and Weiss's looks were weird. Very intense. Blake looked interested along with Nora. Ren seemed curious and Yang was smirking at her probably looking forward to her and Jaune's blushing and stammering.
Pyrrha wanted to wait until after dinner to sit down with everyone and explain everything in the privacy of their dorm room or even the common room. She took a quick look around the cafeteria and even though it looked like no one would have paid them any attention, it was the cafeteria so you could never be sure when someone might pop up and hear your private conversation.
Pyrrha smiled at Yang "Unfortunately we don't have time to going into it fully, I'll tell you all about why we are being so close today after dinner in our room. But its probably not what any of you are thinking." She could see Nora pout at her, Ren shook his head, Ruby and Weiss lost some of their intense look, Blake went back to her book and Yang huffed at her.
Yang looked between Jaune and Pyrrha with her smirk growing in size "No hint? At least say if you two got together last night or not." Yang heard a few gasps, probably Ruby, Weiss and Nora if she had to guess. Jaune's blush though was what Yang was looking for, ah it would be a good day today. She didn't know why getting Jaune to blush or stammer was so good, it was almost like a good luck charm. Any day she could get Jaune to do that, she had a good day.
Pyrrha lost a bit of her smile, unfortunately for her she didn't get together with Jaune last night, it would have been great if they could have gotten together that quick. But she was planning to start trying to get together with him soon. Though the fact they weren't together caused some of the lingering anger and bitterness along with her sadness to grow in her. She would be with Jaune and soon.
Pyrrha snuggled closer into Jaune's side and answered "No we didn't get together. The short of it is that I had a rough night and Jaune is helping me feel better." He was helping so much, being all warm and nice and attentive. Pyrrha smiled up at Jaune and saw him look at her with his adorable blush and smile.
Yang nodded "Sounds rough, lucky you have Jaune to hold you close and make you feel better." She ended by looking between Jaune and Pyrrha and winking at them. She heard a few groans around the table and saw Jaune shake his head against Pyrrha's.
Yang felt her smirk grow even more. Oh, she knew there was a better, deeper reason, a rough night, whatever that could be, didn't lead to Jaune and Pyrrha cuddling at the breakfast table. What that reason was Yang knew had to be good, potentially even interesting. Yang wanted to ask another question but was cut off by Ruby.
Ruby looked from Yang to Jaune and Pyrrha and didn't know whether to believe it was just a rough night that caused Pyrrha to cling to Jaune like she had. Though Pyrrha didn't lie, or at least hadn't lied to any of them since the start of school. If it was a rough night then it must have been a really bad nightmare. That happened to her a few times, she had a bad nightmare and went to Yang to feel better, Pyrrha going to Jaune kind of made sense. He was kind and nice and really warm.
Ruby looked between Pyrrha and Jaune slightly mad since she hadn't gotten a Jaune hug in a while, though happy that they didn't get together without telling her and pretty sad that it looked like Pyrrha had such a bad nightmare.
Ruby looked at Pyrrha "That sucks, hope you feel better soon, I know that a good hug can help after a rough night, even I sometimes go to Yang for a hug." Pyrrha and the rest of the table smiled at her and Ruby felt herself blush a bit "Not that I do it anymore, we are huntresses now so…" before Ruby could finish, she felt herself get hugged by Yang.
"Aren't you just the best Rubes" Yang said while hugging the stuffing out of her little sister. She sometimes hoped that Ruby would come to her more often for hugs or cuddles or comfort. It made her feel closer to Ruby, that Ruby relied on her so that she could help her feel better. Yang smiled down at a huffing Ruby in her arms.
"Yaaaannnnng, let go, I'm not a kid any more. Let go, everyone can see." Ruby said while trying, uselessly, to somehow squirm out of her sister's arms. She just felt Yang hug her even tighter.
Yang smiled down at Ruby and saw the rest of the table smile that their interaction as well, along with Nora trying to glomp onto Ren with a loud "Hugs, Ren everyone is hugging." Yang chuckled and looked over at Pyrrha snuggling even more into Jaune's side.
One annoying thought did pass Yang's mind as she looked at the two of them so comfortable together. Going to someone for hugs or comfort wasn't something she did or was offered for a long time, except for when Ruby came to her. She had to be strong for Ruby and her dad in the early days after Summer's death and kind of never stopped. Sure, she got the rare hug from her dad or shoulder pats from Qrow, but being comforted like Pyrrha was now?
That didn't happen and that kind of annoyed her, why Pyrrha and not her. She wasn't jealous or anything, but… Yang shook her head and quickly moved past a brief image of her cuddled up against Jaune's side feeling the same comfort and warmth that Pyrrha had to be feeling now. She just hugged a squirming Ruby even tighter.
Weiss looked over from a blushing and struggling Ruby trying to use her arms to wedge herself away from Yang to Pyrrha and Jaune still pressed against each other. Not together but because of a rough night. Weiss could almost believe that, there had to be more to the reason. Pyrrha wasn't someone who would cling to someone because of a bad dream, right? Or was she?
Weiss bit back a huff when she came to the conclusion that she didn't know. She wasn't close enough to Pyrrha to know and that annoyed her somewhat. Seeing Pyrrha and Jaune cuddled up together annoyed her as well, not that she wanted it to happen, but she obviously had bad days over the last two months and Jaune never offered her any comfort… Pyrrha has one rough night and…
Weiss shook her head. There were midterm reviews today and a strangely behaving Pyrrha shouldn't distract her from that, beside Pyrrha would be giving the real reason after dinner. Weiss centered her thoughts and went back to eating her breakfast, she could wait.
Pyrrha looked at the sisters, Ruby still trying to get out of Yang's arms, and felt her smile drop a bit more. Oh, she saw the looks both of them gave Jaune, Ruby's was no mystery, she wanted Jaune to hug her. Pyrrha didn't know and the faded vision, memories, didn't show what kind of relationship Ruby wanted with Jaune or Jaune wanted with Ruby. The last time the fights against the White Fang, the fall of Beacon, her actions and death and a million other things changed Jaune's and Ruby's relationship completely from what it could have been. But they were close and it was a thing she would need to accept, Jaune went to Ruby to have fun and goof off. Something Pyrrha hoped Jaune would do with her also.
Yang's look was more of a question, did she want a hug as well or did she just want to mess with Jaune? Jaune and Yang were relatively close last time, they joked around, messed around and fought well together, which slightly surprised Pyrrha. But like with Ruby, everything that happened last time changed their relationship.
Pyrrha hoped that both sisters saw Jaune as a bother and he saw them as two more sisters, but… Pyrrha decided that she would need to keep a closer eye on the two of them as well.
Looking at Yang caused another thought to pop up in Pyrrha's head, which was that she would need to change Yang's attitude quickly, last time it took her losing her arm to start fighting smarter. Yang was a strong fighter, probably just behind her, but Yang was reckless, cocky bordering on arrogant and aggressive when she fought. If it wasn't for her semblance, she wouldn't have won any of the tournament matches last time.
Pyrrha's eyes shifted from Yang to Ruby, Ruby was another issue all together, also a great fighter, but only with her weapon. Every time in the last time that Ruby lost her weapon, she wasn't able to fight. And Ruby, also like Yang, was overly reliant on her semblance. Something Pyrrha would need change as well.
Pyrrha sighed and snuggled even closer to Jaune, almost sitting on his leg. The emotional whiplash of worrying about Jaune getting together with one of them to calm fighting style analysis along with the underlying bitterness towards all of team RWBY wasn't something Pyrrha was used to feeling.
Soaking in as much of Jaune's comfort as she could Pyrrha glanced over to Weiss who also gave Jaune a look and not her usual one of annoyance. Oh, the annoyance was still there but along with something vulnerable. Which did surprise Pyrrha. Weiss would probably be the most difficult one to get to change her view of Jaune. Pyrrha was aware that Jaune did himself no favors going after Weiss like he did.
Pyrrha glanced down and grabbed Jaune's arm to wrap it around her waist, once his hand was basically in her lap, she laced the fingers of her hand with his. Settling deeper into Jaune and feeling better, also ignoring Jaune's questioning look with a smile, she went back to the problem of Weiss.
If she could get together with Jaune quickly enough then by the next semester Weiss shouldn't be feeling any more annoyance towards Jaune. They could restart their relationship. True last time it took a near full school year and plenty of troubles for Weiss to change her attitude and she only really changed it towards Jaune years later. But it was the best way forward Pyrrha could see.
Jaune looked around the table, Pyrrha's quick explanation might have bought them some time and acceptance of Pyrrha's behavior. But Pyrrha better have a satisfying answer as Jaune could see just a tidal wave of questions from everyone.
The looks he got from Blake, Yang, Ruby and Weiss confused him. He was relatively sure Yang wanted to mess with him, Ruby probably wanted to get a hug or help escaping Yang, Blake he wasn't sure about and Weiss probably thought Pyrrha clinging to him was very wrong and his fault somehow.
As he felt Pyrrha reposition herself against him she brought his arm to wrap around her waist and topped it off by linking their hands together. Jaune felt another blush work it's way up his neck. Holding Pyrrha so close was just too distracting, she was so warm and firm and soft and her hair smelled like vanilla and coconut.
Jaune took a bite of his breakfast and tried to pull his mind away from the mental quicksand that was thinking about Pyrrha. Something he was falling in more and more. Ugh…
The antics of Ruby and Yang helped and Jaune soon was back to his checklist of seeing if Ruby, Yang or Weiss were acting differently. From what he saw all three looked and acted like they did yesterday, apart from looking at him more often. A strangely acting Pyrrha could cause that.
Jaune was shocked that his feelings toward Weiss looked to have changed a bit. Oh, he still thought she was attractive and beautiful and he wanted her to know his feelings towards her were real. But the need he had to do so was gone. And worse, some small part of his mind was comparing Weiss to Pyrrha and Weiss wasn't coming out on top.
It helped Jaune's poor mental state to know that when he thought about kissing Weiss or going dancing with her, he still wanted that badly, but…. Whatever loop Pyrrha threw him for, everything that happened during the night, it affected him more than he thought. Jaune unfortunately came to the conclusion that while he still liked Weiss, he was immensely attracted to Pyrrha.
Jaune looked away from Weiss in a slight panic to Yang and Ruby and thankfully his feelings for them didn't change much. Ruby was adorable and sweet and fun. Yang was outgoing and playful and oddly kind. But, bad for his mental health and maybe for himself, the part of his mind that was so eager to compare Weiss and Pyrrha was all to happy to compare Weiss and Pyrrha to Yang and Ruby.
Jaune sighed and took a more aggressive bite of his turkey bacon than he expected. He knew that he might have overly focused on Weiss, but he was a guy, he thought he would have noticed and accepted that all the girls around him were ridiculously attractive. It shouldn't be something shocking him during breakfast.
Jaune sighed and dropped his head against Pyrrha's.
Pyrrha felt Jaune's head, his so fluffy hair, rest against her head and heard him sigh "What's wrong Jaune?" She asked while moving her head against his.
"Nothing, just an annoying thought." Jaune replied and went to finish off his breakfast.
"Okay" Pyrrha replied and smiled to herself, feeling much better than just a few moments ago worrying about the girls of team RWBY. Jaune would have never tried that with any of them. He felt much more comfortable with her. Pyrrha felt her smile grow even more and she snuggled even closer to Jaune wrapping one of her arms around Jaune's waist.
Nora saw the entire thing, the snuggling and cuddling and head nuzzling. It was so adorable. Nora could also see Yang, Ruby and surprisingly Blake looking at them as well. Before any of them could interrupt Nora launched into the story of her dream. Everyone had to know how weird Ren with blue hair was. If that also let Pyrrha's and Jaune's snuggling time continue then bonus.
Plus, if by chance in the future, Ren and her snuggle time might be interrupted then Pyrrha and Jaune could cover for them. Nora tightened her grip on Ren with one arm and used the other to add the needed emphasis to her story.
Ren smiled at Nora's story and at her taking attention away from Jaune and Pyrrha. He made himself a bit more comfortable in Nora's hug and went back to eating his breakfast. The evening should be interesting if Pyrrha did in fact give the whole reason to why she was acting like she was.
- Scene Break -
After they all finished breakfast and put their trays away, they walked over to Peach's class, Jaune looked over at Pyrrha, who had them keep the same arm placement as they had when sitting. His arm around her waist and her arm around his. Jaune could only just keep his blush from taking over this whole face. He wasn't sure which was worse, arms looped together or around each other's waist. Like before Jaune saw the looks of surprise and awe coming from everyone around them and tried not to focus on those.
He could also hear Yang whispering comments to Blake and Ruby of how she was right and that would you just look at vomit boy all grown up with a girl on his arm. What caught his attention next was a sudden quiet from team RWBY's direction, he looked over and saw Yang with a strange look on her face. He also felt Pyrrha tighten her arm.
Pyrrha was smiling pretty widely, the rest of breakfast went by with no other questions, courtesy of Nora's story, and Jaune was still letting her pull comfort from him. Though walking through the halls again was starting to bring up flashes of fire and Grimm and pain. Pyrrha closed her eyes and focused on Jaune. His warmth, his firm body, the smell of his vanilla body wash. Feeling the pain retreat somewhat Pyrrha opened her eyes and she wondered if she would have to go through the same thing each time she walked through a hallway.
Pyrrha heard some whispering behind her, she glanced back and saw it was Yang saying something about her being right, that vomit boy was growing up and some other things Pyrrha couldn't catch. That brought up another issue, getting people to respect Jaune. Pyrrha knew that Yang didn't mean anything mean with her jokes and was just having fun. And that Jaune also didn't take anything Yang said like that seriously, he was just as open to the nicknames and games as Yang was.
But for everyone outside of their group, they sometimes took Yang's comments seriously. Believed them. And that generally led to Jaune being embarrassed. Pyrrha felt her smile drop and freeze while she glanced back at Yang for a second. She would need to have a quick talk with Yang about not saying such things in front of strangers. She then tightened her grip on Jaune, getting even closer. Wondering if she could ever get him to carry her.
Yang was in a good mood, sure breakfast didn't go how she wanted, once Nora started a story it was almost impossible to stop it, but so far, the day was going better than expected and the evening seemed like it would be interesting too.
Yang, along with the rest of team RWBY, was walking just behind Jaune and Pyrrha and was seeing, but still not fully believing, the closeness. Arms around each other's waists, more coupley than most couples acted. No one ever wanted to walk like that with her, just being comfortable in each other's arm, with her, guys would most likely try to grab a feel….
Shaking her head Yang snapped back from her thoughts and couldn't resist making some jokes. Were they a bit meaner spirited then normal, sure, but only because… Wait that was that look that Pyrrha just had on her face?
For the split second when Pyrrha glanced back Yang could have sworn that Pyrrha gave her the coldest look she had ever seen. Lips a firm line, eyes like frozen chipped emeralds and a blank face. Yang felt a shudder go down her spine. Was it because of what she said? Pyrrha did know that it was all jokes? Even Jaune himself, who had to have heard, said nothing and had laughed along with her before at the same jokes.
Yang gulped and looked over at the rest of her team to ask if they also just saw Pyrrha's look. Fortunately for her question but probably unfortunately for her, based on Ruby's open mouth and wide eyes, Weiss's disbelieving look and the shock on Blake's face all three of them saw it.
Good, so she didn't imagine it. That would mean…. What the hell happened to Pyrrha, miss hello again, the nicest person she ever met. Rough night her firm ass, whatever happened over the night was much more than that to cause Pyrrha to be able to make a face like that. Yang shuddered. She was half tempted to ease herself onto the other side of Jaune and have him tell Pyrrha that it was all good and all in good fun. That Jaune could make the same jokes about her if he wanted.
Yang held back yet another shudder and had a thought come up. If Pyrrha did have a crush or something on Jaune and he was the one comforting her after whatever happened, Pyrrha might be a bit more sensitive to jokes about Jaune then normally.
Another thought popped up, this was Pyrrha who just glared at her, miss 4-time winner, goddess of victory, miss invincible herself. Yang felt uneasy all of a sudden. Yang never really focused on it, but if Pyrrha wanted to teach her a lesson at the end of her sword/spear/gun then there wasn't much she could do about it. As much as Yang bragged about her fights with Pyrrha, how she almost ringed Pyrrha out, it did happen Weissy, how she was always the one that lasted the longest, how she was really the only one out of all the first years that could hold her own against Pyrrha. Yang never really got that close to beating Pyrrha, the ring out was her best chance. And she always felt that Pyrrha was never going all out on her.
Yang shook her head, she would need to find some alone time with Pyrrha to ease whatever she ruffled with her jokes. And to make sure that Jaune backed her up on the fact that the jokes weren't mean in any way. Luckily for her today was Peach, Port and Oobleck along with self study, so less of a chance of landing in the ring with a miffed Pyrrha.
While Yang shuddered, Weiss felt like someone just slapped her. What was with the look Pyrrha just gave Yang. And over Yang's regular Jaune jokes. Weiss couldn't believe it. Where and how did Pyrrha learn to make a face like that, Weiss thought that Pyrrha just didn't do mean. But that was one of the coldest glares she ever saw. And over Jaune. Weiss looked between Yang, Pyrrha and Jaune more confused than she felt in a while. Pyrrha said that she had a rough night and Jaune was helping her, but to glare like that….
More must have happened during the night, something worse than just a rough night. Weiss gulped and made a quick decision to not get involved and to not make any comments towards Jaune today. If Pyrrha reacted like that to jokes….
Blake was feeling deja vue, she just saw a similar look sent her way during breakfast and now Yang got hit by one. What was going on with Pyrrha today, a rough night was one thing, but Pyrrha never glared before. And now twice in an hour. Though this time it was because of Yang's jokes about Jaune, what did Pyrrha glare at her for? Blake didn't say anything about Jaune. Was the glare at breakfast about something else? Or maybe sent towards someone else? In any case it was strange and Blake didn't think that it was only because of a rough night. Unfortunately, everyone would have to wait until after dinner to find out.
Blake sighed and looked from Yang, who was still glancing at Pyrrha, to Pyrrha and Jaune, who were still walking with arms around each others waist's. This was going to be a strange day. Blake felt a small smile grow on her face, strange behavior being done due to a mysterious reason, people knowing more than they were letting on, personality changes. Her eyes looked between Pyrrha and Jaune, a couple keeping secrets. This sounded like the plot of that mystery novel she read a while back, The Argus Encounter, hopefully whatever Pyrrha was hiding won't cause the arrests or deaths of two families.
Blake's mystery plot excitement from breakfast grew even more. A mystery not connected to the White Fang, something she could enjoy solving, she wondered if she could solve it by dinner.
Ruby was super confused, she looked between Yang and Pyrrha, Pyrrha didn't glare, but wow, that was probably the coldest glare she ever saw. And why would Pyrrha glare at Yang? Was it because of the jokes? Did Pyrrha think they were too mean? Ruby scratched her head, could Pyrrha be mean and they just never noticed or was it because of the nightmare?
In any case, Ruby decided she would keep an eye on Jaune and help out Pyrrha if she could. Ruby smiled at Yang as they walked into the classroom and she waved a quick hi to Peach, the nicest teacher they had. She found herself sitting down beside Weiss and Jaune, who had Pyrrha sit down right beside him. A quick look over confirmed that Pyrrha was still pressed up against Jaune. Ruby smiled up at Jaune and Pyrrha and saw Jaune smile down at her.
Pyrrha sat down beside Jaune with a smile and nodded at a smiling Ruby, so would have to make sure to explain everything to Ruby. So far no flashes from the vision were coming up. She only had a light feeling of connected disappointment and anger at Professor Peach for not being in the fight for Beacon. Pyrrha took out her notebook and made herself comfortable by Jaune's side. Hopefully the exam review was useful because she could not remember much about Peach's class. Biology and medicine were never her best subjects.
- Scene Break -
Just over an hour and a half later found them walking into Port's class with some disappointing news. Pyrrha sighed as she looked up from Jaune's scroll "So Oobleck's class is canceled because of a sudden meeting he and Ozpin will have. That's unfortunate, I was looking forward to the review." Pyrrha saw Jaune give her a questioning look. "Not to say anything bad about a teacher, but Oobleck does talk fast, so a review would be good to check our notes."
Jaune smiled at Pyrrha "Yeah, I guess that's true, no one has notes for the whole class so we could have used that time to get them. We still can, we can ask around for the sections we are missing." Oobleck's class was always a hassle to study for since everyone was missing something from their notes. So the only real way to study was to trade notes and if someone by chance had a very in demand section then the trades could be ridiculous. Like paying someone with two weeks of Vale bought lunches ridiculous. Jaune felt Pyrrha rest her head on his shoulder and nod.
"That's true, we can always ask and we still do have over a week before the midterm, so we will probably have a review class." Pyrrha smiled at Jaune as she put her head on his shoulder. If it wasn't for the underlying anger and bitterness, the pain of the burning and hole, Pyrrha would have said that this was the best morning she ever had. It still was probably her favorite morning in years. Just being able to be this close to Jaune, to hold him, see his cute faces.
The only thing better would be if they did get together and she could be even freer in holding on to him. Pyrrha was fairly certain that her view of Jaune and her need to be with him was not quite right. That the vision was affecting her feelings, but she didn't care.
Unfortunately for Pyrrha, her Jaune thoughts were interrupted by Port walking into the classroom "Hunters, I have a surprise for all of you, with the midterm tests coming up I thought to myself, Peter old boy, your students will do great on your test, so you should help them with being great hunters in a different way."
Peter paused and stood heroically before his students. "So, I talked with Ozpin and Glynda and we agreed to hold a special sparring class. Isn't that great, you will be thought to fight by me as well. This is a rare privilege for all of you, why the stories I could tell you all about my fights with bandits and highway robbers and dirty huntsman. Ah unfortunately for you all we don't have the time. Everyone up and go to training room 2." Peter ended his speech by pointing out the door and then strutting out of the room.
Everyone in the class paused for a second, some slowly blinking, others looking around the class at what others would do. Some already dreading the upcoming sparring. Port giving a lecture was bad, him teaching fighting could be worse.
Pyrrha blinked and shook her head, this didn't happen last time, from what she could get from the faded vision, review week should have been just review classes. Not Port teaching sparring and not Oobleck canceling his class. That didn't happen last time. Was something else going on apart from the vision, memories, she got? Pyrrha felt uneasy, if there was more going on then….. She would have to be careful.
But class is class so Pyrrha sighed and stood up, pulling Jaune up with her as she had her arm looped with his when they sat down. She turned to the rest of her team, seeing Nora and Ren stand up as well, "Well, this will be interesting." Pyrrha said to her team quietly. She got a small smile from Ren, a smirk from Nora and a laugh from Jaune. Pyrrha cozied up to Jaune resting her hip against his and smiled. Her team enjoyed her comment.
Last time it took to the middle of the second semester for her to say something like that out loud, back then she wasn't sure if her team would have liked her being sarcastic. But, Pyrrha smiled as the quickly recognized good feelings from her team came to her. Such a small thing for such good feelings. She felt a bit freer, Pyrrha was coming to accept far sooner than last time that could say what she wanted, do what she wanted and her team would accept her actions, laugh with her, join in even.
Pyrrha started walking towards the door with Jaune by her side and Nora and Ren just in front of them. She glanced back and saw team RWBY gathering their things, Ruby yelling a "Wait up" and the rest of the class standing up as well. Pyrrha never considered it because she really didn't like her fame. But she could use her fame for parts of her plans to change the future. Her classmates would accept her advice, right? She never tried that last time, could it work? Last time she really didn't want to stand out, well Pyrrha could accept that she isn't an outgoing person, Nora, Yang and Jaune were far more outgoing than her. But she could try right? Give her classmates good sparring advice, have them trust her….
As Pyrrha thought through her plans the class walked to the training room with a lot of guessing of what Port's training could be like, though everyone was convinced that seeing Goodwitch's reaction would be interesting. As everyone walked into the training room and sat down, they saw Port and Goodwitch standing in the ring looking at them. Port smiled at everyone and stepped forward "Good, everyone is here, great, like I said before to help you all become better hunters I came up with an idea and Professor Goodwitch here agreed to help me try it out."
As Peter talked Glynda sighed, she was supposed to be having a free period now to grade papers and finish putting together the 4th year exams. But no, Peter had to put forward his idea again and Ozpin agreed to it. For the first time in the 6 years that Peter wanted to do this training. Ozpin agreed. What happened that made Ozpin agree? He always said that Peter's training idea was too cruel to the students. And worse, after he agreed he ran off with Bart somewhere so she couldn't protest it. Glynda sighed again, this was going to be a disaster.
Peter, completely oblivious to Glynda deep sighs, continued his explanation "So you must all be curious as to what my training could be? Well, wait no longer, my training is designed so that each of you take your spars seriously." A bunch of whispering started after Peter paused, he gave the students a second then continued "With the Vytal Festival coming to Vale this year I went to Ozpin and I said to him, we need out hunters to take their training seriously to make sure that Beacon wins the tournament this year. Ozpin agreed with me and here we are."
Peter smiled at the class, not noticing Glynda giving him a cold look, "The training is step up like so, your spars are considered a project in my class and have the same grade weight. You start the fight with 100% and you loose 1% after every certain period of time, could be every minute or every second. If your fight takes too long, we stop it and you get the lowest score for the next part. The next part is that we add points back based on your fight. The better you fight, the more points we give you." Peter smiled at the class, all with looks of shock on their faces. "So, finish your fights quickly and don't hold back."
Pyrrha looked around the room, shocked faces, excited faces, she looked at Jaune when she felt him sag against her side. This would be rough for him, Jaune might be able to hold his own against some of the students, but anyone better than Cardin would be a problem for him. Pyrrha wrapped a arm around Jaune's back "You'll be fine, just do you best and Port will see you going all out." Pyrrha saw Jaune give her a weak smile back. Pyrrha squeezed Jaune closer against her and hugged him. Jaune was always so warm and comfortable. And she felt so good having him in her arms. She hoped that she could give him some comfort before the matches.
Though this was also strange, another thing that didn't happen last time. What was going on?
As Pyrrha thought and comforted Jaune, Glynda stepped forwards "Would Ms. Schnee and Ms. Nikos came forward." A murmur went across the room ending with someone saying, just a bit too loudly, "Well, Weiss is dead."
Weiss blinked, she was going first for this crazy training, and against Pyrrha! Weiss stood up a bit uncertainty, she felt Yang pat her on the shoulder and Ruby say "Do your best!". As Weiss made her way down the steps to go to the changing room, she saw Pyrrha give Jaune a hug and heard Nora yell "Crush her Pyrrha, make team JNPR proud." As she made it to the ring Pyrrha stepped in front of her and smiled at her "Just do your best Weiss and I'll do mine, Port's grading can't be that bad." Weiss nodded back at Pyrrha and steadied herself.
Weiss heard Goodwitch count down and when she said "GO" Weiss jumped back using a glyph to send her back further and sent a stream of ice at Pyrrha. She saw Pyrrha rotate in place, bring her shield up at an angle and kneel down, using her shield to deflect the ice up towards the wall. As Weiss prepared to create a ice wall she saw Pyrrha's shield move and jumped away, using another glyph, at the last second, just barely dodging a shot.
Weiss huffed when that pattern continued for a few more seconds. Every time she tried to shoot Pyrrha or move towards her, a shot made her dodge and keep to the edge of the ring.
Weiss knew that she needed to do something else as since the start of the match Pyrrha was controlling the fight. Weiss used another glyph to speed her up for a slash at Pyrrha and at the last second, she used a gravity glyph on Pyrrha to prevent her from moving. Unfortunately for her, Pyrrha's sword was just enough in the right position to block most of her slash.
As Weiss made another glyph to speed her away, she felt her sword move down all of a sudden. What was that? Before she could think about anything else she heard movement and only barely rolled away from an attack. Weiss glanced at Pyrrha as she hopped up and blocked a slash from Pyrrha. It felt more like a blow from Yang than anything else and the look on Pyrrha's face, she never saw Pyrrha looking so serious.
A few more slashes from Pyrrha followed, Weiss managed to block each of them but she felt her arms shake and her aura be affected each time. Weiss didn't even have the time to be shocked as she had to hop back to dodge a stab from Pyrrha. Thankfully getting the split second she needed, she created another gravity glyph below Pyrrha and she used a glyph to create some more distance.
As Weiss landed, she tried to send a wave of ice at Pyrrha, but didn't have time as she felt a shot hit her arm. Hissing, she jumped to the other side of the ring using a series of glyphs and sent several shots of ice at Pyrrha. Pyrrha mostly deflected each stream of ice and moved closer to her. Weiss lunged at Pyrrha again, this time unfortunately for Weiss, when Pyrrha blocked the lunge with her sword and Weiss got hit in the face with the flat of Pyrrha's shield.
Disoriented for a second Weiss didn't notice Pyrrha's next move and felt a crushing punch to her stomach. Weiss gasped and moved to create a glyph just as Pyrrha hit her in the head again with her shield and then kicked her in the chest. The kick sent her back a few feet and she landed on her side.
Weiss groaned and rolled onto her back, thankfully still holding onto her sword, the second that Pyrrha took to adjust her shield let Weiss finally create the ice wall between them. Safe for a moment, she heard Pyrrha huff from the other side of the ice, Weiss stood up unsteadily. What the hell was going on, Pyrrha never fought like this before, punching and kicking people. Weiss quickly reloaded her dust and glanced at her aura; she was down to 54% already! And Pyrrha was still at 89%!
Weiss heard two shots from the other side of the ice wall and she saw the ice cracking. Weiss tried to focus herself, her head hurt, her stomach felt like it was in her lungs, her ribs felt like they were broken and she was going through her dust faster than she thought.
And Pyrrha was fighting her seriously, she never, in 4 years of watching Pyrrha fight, saw Pyrrha fight like this. Even using her glyphs, Pyrrha was always were she needed to be, her sword or shield always in a place to block or deflect any attack, her gun always ready to take a shot. And if Weiss got close then Pyrrha attacked right away. It's like Pyrrha knew all her moves, every step she took and every attack she could do.
Weiss heard another crack from the ice and then a chunk of the ice wall shattered. Weiss prepared herself, even though she didn't know what to do. She couldn't get close as that was where Pyrrha was the most dangerous, but this fighting from a distance did her no favors either. Pyrrha could just stand there and make her keep moving. Weiss huffed, fighting Pyrrha was always a pain, but this, this was something else. Weiss never knew Pyrrha could be so scary.
Weiss sent a wave of ice the second she saw Pyrrha step through the gap in the ice wall, Pyrrha jumped just behind the ice wall and kept her shield at an angle, wedged into the ice wall to deflect the ice. Weiss used the distraction to jump over the remains of the ice wall and attack Pyrrha from behind.
As Weiss landed, she saw Pyrrha aim at her with her gun, Weiss quickly created a gravity glyph on Pyrrha and a glyph to bounce her away. Weiss only just managed to jump before her heard the shot. She quickly changed direction midair with a glyph and sent a series of ice shots at Pyrrha, who for the first time since the fight started moved to dodge the ice.
The ground around Pyrrha somewhat covered in ice Weiss smiled and rushed Pyrrha while creating a gravity glyph under her. Unfortunately for Weiss, Pyrrha sword was placed just so to deflect hers. Weiss needed to twist her body and create another glyph to not lose grip of her sword and she quickly recreated the gravity glyph under Pyrrha.
As Weiss landed and turned her head to look at Pyrrha and she again felt her sword pull down. What was that? In the split second she took to glance down she heard a 'swoosh' and as Weiss looked up, she felt something smash into her side.
As Weiss staggered, she looked down and saw that it was Pyrrha's shield, a second later she brought her sword up to block a slash from Pyrrha and felt her hand almost let go of her sword. Weiss quickly sent a series of stabs at Pyrrha, unfortunately each one was blocked or deflected, and then Weiss had to move backwards while blocking two more slashes from Pyrrha to not be overwhelmed.
Weiss caught the next slash from Pyrrha and they went into a sword lock. Not where Weiss wanted to be, she could feel Pyrrha pushing her back. If this kept up Pyrrha could just to push her out of her ring. To get out of a sword lock with Pyrrha would be tricky, it would need a series of glyphs, timed exactly.
Just as Weiss was planning her escape from the sword lock, she felt Pyrrha's sword go limp and she only just managed to catch herself from lunging forwards. But it was too late, as Weiss was bringing up a gravity glyph to hold Pyrrha down, she saw out of the corner of her eye Pyrrha's left fist come down on her. Weiss felt pain explode from her right temple and then everything went black as she dropped to the floor.
Pyrrha looked at Weiss while they were in the sword lock, she was slightly surprised that Weiss allowed herself to be in a sword lock. But Pyrrha guessed that the entire fight was something Weiss wasn't expecting. Due to the vision or memories Pyrrha was able to know/remember just enough of Weiss's fighting style over the years to know what she could do and when.
And luckily for Pyrrha, it would still be some time before some of Weiss's more dangerous techniques came. So, so far, no worries. Pyrrha decided at the start of the fight that she would fight for real, no fancy moves, no fair play. She needed Weiss to live through a serious fight where she lost badly, to motivate her and to humble her.
Though Pyrrha was struggling with her anger and rage, just a bit… She kept getting flashes of different fights, even a few from her fight against the bitch. The pain that came from losing a fight, the hole and fire, how Weiss acted towards Jaune. For a split second she even considered using her semblance to throw Weiss's sword away then slash at her neck.
Pyrrha let out a breath, Weiss is a friend, not an enemy and this fight was a spar, not a fight to the death. Pyrrha had to keep repeating that over and over in her head to hold back from some of her more vicious impulses.
Pyrrha glanced at the clock and decided to finish the fight now, Weiss's aura was down to 21% and hers was at 80%, she could force Weiss out of the ring, but no, Weiss needed a bad loss and she needed to end this fight before she did something bad, something fatal for Weiss.
Pyrrha decided to pull a dangerous move, she relaxed her arm just enough to make Weiss lose her balance for a second. Just as Weiss was regaining her balance Pyrrha punched her in the temple hard enough to stun her.
What Pyrrha wasn't expecting what for Weiss's aura to flicker and for her punch to knock Weiss out. Whoops. Pyrrha just remembered that currently Weiss probably had the least sturdy defensive aura out of the eight of them and that it took a while for her aura to strengthen.
Pyrrha knelt down to check on Weiss and outside of a bump on her head and some bruising she looked fine. Pyrrha saw Goodwitch come over to check on Weiss as well. "Ms. Nikos, what happened?"
"Sorry Professor Goodwitch, when I punched Weiss the last time, her aura flickered just as I hit her." Pyrrha replied, channeling all the remorse she could. And trying to keep the small bit of self satisfaction off her face, that she held herself back enough to just punch Weiss. And that the punch knock Weiss out, ended the fight… That the punch felt good, like teaching Weiss a lesson.
Pyrrha keep the look of remorse up and hoped that Goodwitch would look somewhere else soon.
Goodwitch looked her over and nodded "Very well, could I have…" A groan interrupted Goodwitch. Both Pyrrha and Goodwitch looked down and saw Weiss open her eyes and clutched her head.
"What happened?" Weiss asked trying to sit up, holding her head, feeling dizzy and slightly nauseous.
"Your aura flickered when Ms. Nikos hit you and you went unconscious." Goodwitch replied and Pyrrha nodded. "If you would like we can have someone escort you to the infirmary."
Weiss shook her head and stood up "I'm feeling better now, just need to sit down for a moment. I'll go to the infirmary if I start feeling worse."
Pyrrha saw Goodwitch nodded and step to the middle of the ring, Port quickly followed Goodwitch. Port smiled at both of them "Well done Ms. Schnee and Ms. Nikos, that was a great show of skill and taking a fight seriously. Top marks for both of you." Pyrrha saw Weiss relax a bit, but she still looked over at her with a wary glance. Pyrrha smiled at Weiss apologetically. Port continued "This brings us to the next part of the training, part 1 is to take your sparring seriously, part 2 is to take your team seriously. The scores everyone gets in their spars get included in the team score and I won't tell you how the team score is counted."
The students in the room groaned.
Peter smiled at the class "Now if someone loses their fight, like Ms. Schnee did, then anyone from their team, team RWBY in this case, can and should challenge the winner to a fight. Of course, only if the winner is in good enough shape or can recover quickly enough. If the winner refuses the fight their score gets marked down, if the winner accepts then the fight is for bonus points for their team's score, which can be added to individual teammate's scores." Peter looked over at team RWBY. "If you don't challenge the winner then your team's score gets marked down."
"So, team RWBY, your teammate just lost and your team's honour is on the line, do you challenge Ms. Nikos here or not?"
Jaune was looking at Pyrrha with a combo of awe and surprise, he knew that Pyrrha was the best fighter in the first year, but her fight with Weiss just now... He never would have thought that Pyrrha could fight like that, if that was how she fought when she was serious. Jaune gulp, he wondered if he could last even a second in a fight with serious Pyrrha.
Another thought came to him, at first he turned down Pyrrha's help in training because he wanted to do everything himself and thought that Pyrrha was doing it out of pity. He was so stupid back then. But he always had a worry that he wouldn't be able to learn anything advance from Pyrrha because of her fighting style.
But how she fought now, with just a sword, shield, punches and kicks, he could see himself do that. He could fight like that. Jaune smiled down at Pyrrha, just as he thought she couldn't get better, she did. If she could teach him that, no fancy moves, just plain fighting. Jaune knew he was a terrible fighter compared to everyone else, but he was pretty strong and his weapon was near unbreakable.
That sounded like a perfect fighting style for him. Jaune looked over and saw Nora cheering and Ren nodding at Pyrrha. He looked over at team RWBY and saw them with looks of shock on their faces.
Yang watched the fight between Weiss and Pyrrha with shock on her face, she never saw Pyrrha fight like that before. She didn't even know that Pyrrha knew how to fight like that. Pyrrha controlled the whole fight and then just overpowered Weiss.
Yang looked over to Ruby and saw her with a worried look on her face. Weiss seemed fine, but with 3 hits to the head, you could never be sure. Blake looked shocked as well, staring at Pyrrha. Yang looked down at Pyrrha with uneasiness building in her stomach, Port wanted one of them to challenge Pyrrha, after what she did to Weiss, really? What was with this bullshit training.
Yang sighed and stood up, it had to be her, Ruby might be able to do something, but only until Pyrrha caught her, then Ruby stood no chance. Pyrrha was just so much stronger than Ruby. Blake also might be able to hold Pyrrha off, she was a slippery fighter, but also like with Ruby, once Pyrrha caught her, Blake would be in trouble. Unfortunately for her, Yang knew that she was the only one who could go toe to toe with Pyrrha since she was stronger in hand to hand than Pyrrha.
And lucky her, for an added bonus to a serious Pyrrha, she was probably still miffed at her if that glare from earlier was any sign. Yang was not looking forward to this fight. But for her sister and her partner, even for Weiss, she had to do this. Ugh, there were times she hated being so caring. She looked down at Ruby and saw her little sister looking up giving her a worried supportive look while Blake nodded at her with a worried look as well. Aww, Blakey cared. Yang smiled down at them, basking in their care and support.
Right let's do this shit, if Pyrrha wanted a fight she would have one. Yang would go all out, Pyrrha probably wouldn't be phased by anything else. Yang raised her hand "Sure Prof, I'll challenge Pyrrha to a fight."
"Excellent, thank you Ms. Xiao Long, a proud hunter must always stand up for their team. Your and Ms. Nikos' fight will be held after the next planned one to give Ms. Nikos here a moment to recover." Peter smiled at his students and turned "Ms. Schnee and Ms. Nikos, you two are free to return to your seats."
Weiss nodded and made her way to the changing room to change and take a quick shower. She tried to avoid anyone's eyes along the way. Weiss felt terrible, her head was ringing, her stomach hurt, her ribs hurt, her arms felt limp. She caught herself on a bench and shuddered. Port said top marks, but Weiss felt like a joke, nothing she tried did anything to Pyrrha and then she made two stupid decisions which cost her the fight.
Well, if she was being real, they only sped up the inevitable, she was going to lose, it was only a matter of time. Weiss clenched her fists. Damn her, that fight was a complete disaster. The only saving grace was that it was against Pyrrha.
Weiss shut her eyes, she never would have thought that she was so far beneath Pyrrha, all her training, the best money could buy, all her drive. What did it amount to? Being knocked out by Pyrrha, being kicked across the ring, being bashed in the head with a shield. Weiss sighed, there went her chance to impress Pyrrha enough so that she could train with her regularly.
While Weiss sunk into a depression about the fight, Pyrrha started to make her way up to Jaune when Goodwitch's next sentence stopped her "Alright, next, could Mr. Spinel and Mr. Arc come forward." Pyrrha glanced at Goodwitch, Jaune now? Were the fights a test of her team? Were the spars connected to the change in classes?
Pyrrha looked at Jaune making his way to the changing room and smiled at him. Neil Spinel wasn't the best fighter, a staff user who lost routinely against Dove and Russel. So Jaune should be able to deal with him. Pyrrha made her way back down to the ring and leaned against the wall below the aura meters. Pyrrha noticed Goodwitch looking at her.
"Is there a problem Ms. Nikos? Why aren't you going back to you seat?" Glynda asked, a bit confused why Pyrrha came back.
"Oh, there is no problem Professor Goodwitch, Jaune is fighting next so I would like to stay here to support him. And my next fight is right after his. So, it made sense for me to stay here." Pyrrha smiled at Goodwitch. Make her leave Jaune when he has to fight? Not on her life.
Pyrrha saw Goodwitch nod at her and walk away, Pyrrha smiled and looked up across the room. The rest of Neil's team was talking, Nora pulled out her team JNPR flag, the guys from team CRDL were laughing and Weiss was making her way back to her team. Pyrrha saw Weiss get a hug from Ruby and not try to get away, Yang then came up to Weiss and patted her on the shoulder. At least team RWBY was getting closer. Pyrrha then noticed Jaune coming through the door.
Jaune walked in through the doors and sighed, he never fought against Neil so he wasn't sure how the fight would go. Neil didn't have the best sparring record, but it was a lot better than his. Plus, their fight compared to Pyrrha's and Weiss's would be a joke. Jaune noticed Pyrrha standing by the wall and made his way over go her. "Hey Pyrrha what are you doing here?"
Pyrrha smiled at Jaune "Well I want to support you and my next fight is right after yours."
"Right, no point leaving, any last-minute advice?" Jaune asked with a sad smile.
Pyrrha looked Jaune up and down and brought him into a hug, their armor clanged with how hard Pyrrha pulled him in. Pyrrha wrapped one arm up his back and gripped his so fluffy and soft hair, her other arm wrapped around his waist. She felt his cheek press against hers. "Just try your best, Neil needs distance to fight at his best, you can catch him off-guard by keeping close to him and attacking him with stabs and quick slashes. Use your shield as well."
Pyrrha smiled as she felt Jaune wrap his arms around her back. This was one change today Pyrrha really liked, hugging Jaune in front of everyone, having him in her arms, showing everyone that he was hers. She felt all the mixed-up feelings from fighting Weiss slowly go away. Her rage and anger and echoes of pain going away the longer she hugged Jaune.
Jaune felt Pyrrha pull him into a tight hug and he felt his smile grow at her action, he thought that he was the one that was making Pyrrha feel better today, not the other way around. Her advice though was great and Jaune felt like the beginning of a battle plan was forming. He hugged Pyrrha back, her armor kind of got in the way, but she still felt great. Jaune heard a door open behind him and felt Pyrrha tighten her hug. That had to be Neil. Well guess it was time for his fight.
Jaune was moving his arms off Pyrrha when he felt her hug him even harder and rub her cheek against his. Before Jaune could ask what that was about Pyrrha said "Don't worry about the fight, you don't have to beat Neil, just show Port that you are serious."
"Right, I'll try my best." Jaune replied and went to step back, though couldn't because Pyrrha still had her arms around him. "Ah, Pyrrha, I have to go…" Jaune felt a blush coming to his face.
Pyrrha blushed against Jaune's face and let out a breath, right, she couldn't fight Jaune's battles for him. And even though he is inexperienced now, in a few months she will have him trained up to an acceptable level and by the end of the year…. By then he would be able to go toe to toe with any student in class.
Pyrrha smiled and rubbed her cheek against his again. In the grand scheme, this fight didn't matter at all, the whole midterm exam didn't matter. So, no matter what will happen, Jaune will gain some experience and she will be able to see him fight for the first time in this life.
Jaune stepped back once Pyrrha let him out of her hug, Pyrrha still had her arms on his shoulders and smiled at him. Jaune smiled back and patted her hands on his shoulders. It looked like Pyrrha wanted to do something else, but she nodded at him took her hands off his shoulders and stepped back to lean against the wall again. As she crossed her arms she said "Don't you have a fight to get to?"
Jaune chuckled and walked up to the ring, Pyrrha was still acting very strange and still being very touchy, but Jaune couldn't say he disliked it. Pyrrha holding him felt better than he expected, so warm and firm and…. Jaune pulled his thoughts back, holding Pyrrha felt beyond amazing also, he briefly wondered what other guys would do to be able to hug Pyrrha. To be hugged by Pyrrha. As Jaune cleared his thoughts again he walked up to Neil.
"Hey Neil, bad luck for us huh, to have to go between a fight with Weiss and Pyrrha and Yang and Pyrrha?" Jaune smiled at Neil.
Neil nodded "This whole training is weird, like it was made only for the best teams." Neil glanced around the room worryingly.
"Nah, Port wouldn't do that, just try your best, I'll try mine and we can be done with our part of the training early." Jaune replied, really hoping that no one from his team would challenge Neil when he won… No, none of those thoughts, he had a chance to win. Just try and copy how Pyrrha fought and catch Neil off guard. Like Pyrrha said.
Jaune prepared himself and waited for Goodwitch to count down, once he heard "GO" he stepped forward and took a quick swing at Neil with his sword, Neil deflected his swing, but stepped back to maintain distance so that he could use his staff. Jaune's main plan was to stay close enough to Neil to limit what he could do with his staff and to be as aggressive as possible. Jaune quickly sent a series of slashes Neil's way moving forward the whole time.
Neil blocked or deflected all his slashes and then sent a quick jab with his staff, Jaune luckily just managed to block it with his shield, but before he could take a swing with his sword Neil sent a series of jabs at him. Jaune blocked or deflected a few, but the rest hit him in the arm, chest and leg. Though the hits were pretty light, nowhere near how hard Pyrrha hit even during their training.
Jaune noticed the distance that Neil made and rushed forward with his shield, trying to copy Pyrrha the best he could, Neil dodged his shield, Jaune quickly followed up with a stab of his sword that Neil blocked. Neil then took a half swing with his staff which hit Jaune on his leg. The whole time Jaune was moving forward and Neil was backing up.
This went on for a minute, Jaune constantly moving forward, rushing Neil with his shield then following up with quick stabs. He even managed to hit Neil a couple times, though most of his stabs and shield bashes were dodged or blocked. And unfortunately for Jaune, he was getting hit more often, Neil's quick jabs getting through here and there.
After a second to think Jaune decided to change things, even though he was eating away at Neil's aura as his stabs caused more damage than Neil's jabs. Neil was hitting him more often. The fight needed to end quickly as well since the longer they took the less points they had.
Jaune changed tactics, he slashed at Neil, which Neil dodged, but the brought him to the perfect position. Jaune then punched at Neil with the side of his shield. Neil just managed to roll away and jump back. Jaune moved forward again, but had to bring his shield up to block a full swing from Neil. The staff hit his shield with a loud bang and Jaune felt his shield begin to vibrate.
Damn, Neil's semblance, the more times his shield got it by it the worse the vibrations would be. He couldn't let Neil have the space to use his staff fully.
Jaune rushed forward again with a punch from his shield, which amazingly hit Neil. Did Neil think that he wouldn't be able to hold or use his shield while it was vibrating? Jaune smiled and followed up with a slash. Neil just managed to dodge it and used his staff to vault over him. Jaune turned around and just managed to bring his sword up to block another semblance powered swing. His sword was now lightly vibrating as well.
Jaune rushed forward again with a slash which Neil blocked, he followed with a shield punch which was dodged. Neil then swung at him which Jaune just managed to back away from. Jaune slashed again, Neil deflected that and vaulted away again. This pattern continued for a minute as well. Jaune regularly getting hit by Neil's swings and unfortunately not managing to hit Neil.
Jaune turned to look at Neil and saw him panting, almost out of breath. Jaune was feeling it too, breathing hard, covered in sweat. But this was good for him too, most huntsmen fights were quick bursts of moves followed by repositioning and even standing around. This fight because of him was constant attacks, blocks, dodging and moving.
Jaune took a quick look at his aura, he was at 54% while Neil was at 76%. Hmmm, not good for him, luckily, he got that shield hit in. A quick glance down and he saw Pyrrha looking at him with a smile and what seemed like excitement on her face.
Jaune looked back to Neil, rolled his shoulders, the vibrations from his sword and shield annoying his arms, and rushed forward again with a slash. Neil dodged back and sent a series of jabs and swings his way. Jaune backed up and managed to block some of the swings and a few of the jabs, the rest hit, draining even more aura. Though Neil's moves seemed to be getting slower and his attacks less powerful.
Jaune then decided on a risky move, he blocked a jab and then let an overhanded swing hit him. The second Jaune felt the hit he jumped forward and managed to catch Neil off guard. Jaune basically managed to tackle Neil to the ground and he got two quick shield punches to Neil's chest before Neil bucked up and made Jaune have to catch his balance.
The moment that took, the first moment Neil had that he wasn't attacking, blocking or dodging, Neil broke his staff in half and shot Jaune point blank in the face with his half staff gun.
Jaune felt pain explode on his face and his aura drop a dangerous amount. Jaune slammed his shield against Neil's arm, which made him drop his gun for a few seconds. In that time Jaune repositioned his grip on his sword and sent the strongest punch he could at Neil's face.
Neil moved his head at the last second which was a terrible choice as Jaune's hand missed Neil's head, but the end of the pommel of Jaune's sword hit. Neil cried out as the pommel end smashed into his cheek and mouth. Jaune brought up his hand again and before Jaune could punch again, Neil's jabbed him in the side with the half staff in his left hand.
Jaune grunted and his punch lost most of its strength, but still hit Neil in the mouth and jaw, this time though his hand hit. Jaune noticed out of the corner of his eye Neil making a grab for his gun, Jaune knew if he got shot again that would be the end of the match. Jaune raised his shield and slammed it across down on Neil's arm at the same time Neil sent the strongest jab he could at Jaune's ribs.
Jaune gasped at the hit and heard Neil cry out from his hit. As Jaune raised his right arm again for another punch and Neil went to buck his waist again they heard a whistle.
They both looked over and saw Goodwitch and Port making their way to the ring. Goodwitch looked at them "Match done, both your auras dropped to the red." Jaune looked over and saw that his aura was that 14% while Neil was at 12%.
Jaune stood up and reached his hand down which Neil grabbed, as Jaune pulled him up Port walked in front of them. "Great fight boys, great fight, I could feel you both giving your all in this match. I doubt many students would have been able to keep up with either of you. Both of your intensity is what hunters need. Giving your opponent breathing room is giving them a chance to win. Never stop attacking!" Port emphasized his point by punching upwards. Goodwitch sighed and looked between Jaune and Pyrrha.
"Top marks for both of you." Jaune and Neil smiled at each other as Jaune collapsed his shield and sheathed his sword. "And as both of your auras dropped to red because of your last attacks your match is technically a tie. Though because you're both in the red, neither of you would be able to be challenged as winners." Port smiled at them again.
Goodwitch stepped up "You're both free to return to your seats after a wash and Mr. Spinel, I would recommend going to the infirmary with that." Goodwitch pointed at Neil's cheek. She then turned to talk with Port.
Jaune saw Neil nod and turn his way "Man, what a fight, that's some good training your doing Jaune. Pretty soon you'll be able to lay out anyone in class. Just know, next time, I'll be ready for you."
Jaune smiled "Of course, I'm looking forward to it." Jaune then shook Neil's hand, Neil then turned and walked to the changing room. Jaune saw the rest of Neil's team rush down the stairs to the changing room as well.
Jaune turned and walked to a very happy looking Pyrrha.
Pyrrha was watching Jaune fight and trying to keep a massive grin from exploding onto her face. Jaune was countering Neil perfectly, not letting him have any distance. Once Jaune learned how to block and deflect better his defense would be great.
Pyrrha looked at the time and blinked, she didn't know Neil could keep up constant actions for so long. And Jaune, he looked like he wasn't slowing down at all. Pyrrha had to stop herself from licking her lips wondering what else Jaune's endurance could be used for.
And he was fighting so aggressively, Pyrrha never saw Jaune fight like this, those shield bashes, it looked like Jaune was trying to copy her. Was he trying to fight like she did against Weiss? The longer the fight went the more excited Pyrrha became. She didn't remember Jaune being this good at 2 months, was he better somehow or was Neil off his game enough that he was fighting at the same level as Jaune?
When Jaune tackled Neil and begun punching him Pyrrha had to squeeze her thighs together, she felt that nervous buzzing energy from the morning when she was in bed with Jaune come back. A sudden image of Jaune over her came to her mind, just that Jaune wasn't going to punch her, but do something completely different. Something far more pleasurable. Pyrrha shook her head to clear out that image.
Thoughts back to the fight and Jaune pinning Neil down to punch him. And Pyrrha thought that he was fighting aggressively before. This though, this whole fight was Jaune going all out and to Pyrrha's immense joy, he was better than she remembered.
She would need to temper Jaune's aggression, too much and he could land in a world of trouble. But she could see him developing a control type fighting style, using his shield to get close to someone then using his sword and shield to direct the fight. Pyrrha smiled, plus Jaune with some more muscles could just overpower anyone weaker or smaller than him in close quarters.
Pyrrha clapped as Goodwitch ended the fight and Port gave Jaune top marks, Neil walked off and she saw Jaune walk towards her.
When Jaune got close enough Pyrrha pulled him into a tight, very enthusiastic hug, basically lifting him off the ground and spinning him around a couple times. As Pyrrha set him down she heard Jaune's adorable whine "You did great Jaune, so great!" Pyrrha almost squealed in Jaune's ear as she hugged him as close as possible. Rubbing her cheek against Jaune's slightly damp cheek.
Jaune blushed the second Pyrrha spun him around and let out an embarrassed whine. But he wasn't too put off, he was feeling too good. He fought as hard as he could and managed to force a tie with Neil, not a very good fighter but far better than he was. Port gave him top marks. And Pyrrha was proud of him. Jaune chuckled and hugged Pyrrha back as hard as he could.
Pyrrha settled into Jaune and was disappointed that they both had armor on, it was getting in the way. Pyrrha heard Goodwitch call Yang down and guessed she had a couple minutes before her fight. She sighed lightly and snuggled into Jaune as much as she could. Pyrrha smiled against Jaune's cheek so happy that he did so well and happy that she had a concrete plan to train him.
Jaune looked around class while in Pyrrha's hug, Nora was giving him two thumbs up, Ren was nodding at him, Ruby looked surprised but was smiling, Weiss looked shocked and Blake was looking between them and Yang. Yang who was coming from the changing room looked strange.
There was a look on Yang's face that Jaune never saw before, but could guess was due to having to fight Pyrrha after what she did to Weiss.
Yang walked up to the ring and saw Jaune and Pyrrha in a tight hug, sure they were hugging in front of the whole class now… Yang sighed and wondered again what could have happened last night to cause such a change in Pyrrha and even Jaune.
She heard Goodwitch call Pyrrha over and once she finally let go of Jaune she came over and stood in front of her. "Hey Pyrrha, you ready for a fight?" Yang asked still feeling uncertain.
Pyrrha replied with "Of course, I always look forward to sparring with you Yang. Just do your best and I'll do mine."
Yang smiled at Pyrrha, strangely acting or not, glaring at her or not, Pyrrha was still Pyrrha. Weirdly formal and nice. She saw Pyrrha smile back at her.
Yang prepared herself and the second she heard Goodwitch say "GO" she rushed forward and unfortunately she was only half ready when Pyrrha rushed forward as well. Yang tried to shoot Pyrrha with her gauntlets, but her right was blocked by Pyrrha's shield and her left was deflected up with her sword.
Pulling her fists back to jump back, Yang had to quickly bring her gauntlets up to block a shield bash followed quickly by two stabs and a slash. Yang dodged the slash and went for a series of quick punches which were all blocked except for the last punch.
Pyrrha deflected her left fist up and stepped into her, Yang moved to twist to the side and bring her knee up to knee Pyrrha in the stomach. Right before her knee hit Yang felt her gauntlets jerk apart, off balance when she kneed Pyrrha, the hit was light.
Right before she could recover and bring her fists back, she was hit in the chest with two quick shield strikes, strikes with the shield's edge, which stung. Yang unsteadily kicked at Pyrrha's ankle which cased Pyrrha to step to the side half a step as she repositioned herself.
Yang used that second to send an elbow to Pyrrha's face which Pyrrha blocked with her shield, Yang followed up by using the gauntlet on her other hand to shoot Pyrrha in the side. The shot mostly hit as Pyrrha was too close to dodge and wasn't able to deflect it all.
As Yang pulled back slightly to go for a series of punches, she saw Pyrrha's expression change, from the friendly look she started the fight with to a serious look. Gone was the smile, her lips a thin line and her eyes hardened. Yang steadied herself. The real fight would begin now.
As Yang's first punch hit Pyrrha's shield she felt her other punch hit Pyrrha's sword grip. Then a second later she felt Pyrrha push forward with her shield. Yang caught herself a step back and had to twist her arm to the side to block a series of quick shield bashes with her gauntlets.
At the same time Yang had to grab Pyrrha's other hand to stop a sword strike, unfortunately for Yang, her attention slipped for a second and she was just slightly too late in twisting her body away from Pyrrha's knee. The knee hit her in the side hard enough to cause her to step back to recover.
While Pyrrha had some armor to block the full effect of hits, Yang didn't so they hurt more and drained more aura. Though Yang could feel her semblance fill some more. Almost ready.
Yang used the half step back to start a kick to Pyrrha's leg which Pyrrha caught with her leg and then Yang had to block yet another series of shield edge punches. Followed by her left gauntlet jerking up again. That jerk and Yang's slightly unfortunate position caused her to not be able to block or dodge a devastating strike to her hip caused by Pyrrha using the end of her sword's hand grip/pummel/rifle stock.
Yang gasped and just as she started to activate her semblance, she had to block and dodge another series of shield strikes, sword jabs and a knee. Yang used the second that Pyrrha was bringing her leg back to jump back and activate her semblance. Feeling the strength fill her Yang smirked at Pyrrha and rushed forward.
As Yang started her attack Pyrrha deflected her first punch then dodged her next 3, on the next punches Pyrrha deflected them with her arm armor and shield bringing Pyrrha's arms on the inside of hers. Which allowed Pyrrha to be able to freely hit her as she would have to bring her arms back to her to have any hope in blocking.
Though what Pyrrha did surprised Yang, Pyrrha took a quick step back and kicked up. Yang felt Pyrrha's armored shoe smash into her chin which was quickly followed by Pyrrha slamming her shield edge against her chest, sending her flying back a few feet.
As Yang landed, she had to roll to the side to avoid a slash from Pyrrha, which was quickly followed by a kick to her side which Yang rolled away from again. As Pyrrha lined up another kick Yang felt her left gauntlet pull away from her, which made her too late to roll away or dodge a kick to her side, followed by a heel stomp to her stomach.
Yang gasped and had to stop herself from losing her breakfast. She jumped back up and Pyrrha used that time to take a step back to change her sword to a spear. Yang was still slightly unsteady on her feet when Pyrrha came at her.
Yang couldn't really do anything except block and dodge the stabs, strikes and slashes from Pyrrha's spear. The whole time also having to deal with the shield strikes and rushes as well. Before Yang could maneuver away Pyrrha caught her leg with the spear and tripped her up.
While Yang caught her balance, she felt her gauntlets pull away again and in that second, she got hit in the face with a full power shield strike, Pyrrha using the shield edge of course. The hit twisted her head back and caused her to stumble back.
Pyrrha using the stumble sent a full slash which cut right across Yang's chest and followed that with a shield bash to Yang's side. Yang gasped and used the second Pyrrha needed to pull her arm back to jump back. She then used the last of her bullets to push her back to the edge of the ring. By lucky chance Pyrrha only blocked half of the shots.
Yang let out a breath and moved to reload her gauntlets, but just as she started, she had to dodge as Pyrrha with her spear a gun now shot at her. Yang continued to dodge around the ring as Pyrrha shot at her. And as she dodged back Yang huffed and looked for a chance to rush Pyrrha again.
Yang thought that the fight was going as expected, at a distance Pyrrha was just playing with her, at sword/spear range Pyrrha was most dangerous and an eye opener for her. Even in hand-to-hand range Pyrrha was just as dangerous. Yang huffed again. This dodging bullshit needed to end. Yang knew that she didn't have much powered up time left as felt her aura being drained by her semblance. She needed to get back in close range.
On her next dodge Pyrrha moved to reload and Yang rushed in with a quick series of punches and managed to reload her left gauntlet. Pyrrha blocked and deflected her punches and on a right swing Pyrrha rolled her shoulder just under her punch, using her shield as protection.
Using the position Pyrrha slashed with her sword, Yang just managed to twist her body out of the way, but unfortunately for Yang she was just distracted enough to not notice Pyrrha move her leg into range. Just as Yang moved to pull her leg back to stabilize herself, Pyrrha's armored shoe smashed onto her boot and kept her foot in place.
Yang now terribly off balance brought her gauntlets up to block a slash from Pyrrha's sword, she caught Pyrrha's sword on her gauntlets and went to push it back to create a bit of space. Unfortunately for Yang, Pyrrha relaxed her arm and let Yang throw her right arm back.
Yang now even more off balanced than before fell forward a step before she tried to catch herself, though that was prevented by Pyrrha kicking her leg out from under her. As Yang fell, she saw out of the corner of her eye Pyrrha's shield come down and felt it hit the back of her head. Causing her head to smash into the hard floor.
Head ringing, side aching, hip in pain, low on aura, Yang clenched her eyes for a split second. She couldn't do anything. Sure, she got some hits in, especially when shooting close range, but even though she was stronger than Pyrrha, she couldn't get anything going. Pyrrha blocked or dodged every punch like she knew her next move before she did. Even at hand to hand, her specialty, she couldn't land a solid hit against Pyrrha. The entire fight was Pyrrha batting her around.
Yang kicked up wildly to force Pyrrha to step back or around her and used that to jump back up, just as she moved towards Pyrrha, Yang had to bring her gauntlets up to block a slash from Pyrrha followed by a series of quick stabs. A few that partly got through and cut at her stomach.
Just as Yang move her arm to block a shield strike, she felt Pyrrha trip her up again. As Yang moved to recover her footing, she heard a clang which she saw as Pyrrha's shield hitting the ground. A moment later she felt her gauntlets pull downwards, throwing her further off balance.
While Yang caught herself, she saw Pyrrha swing to the side and felt a punch hit the middle of her back and force her towards the ground. A second later metal hit the back of head which drove it into the floor again. Yang groaned then she felt pain explode from the back of her head and travel to front when her head bounced off the hard floor.
Pyrrha smiled, the fight with Yang was going better than expected. Like with Weiss, Pyrrha was fighting Yang to teach her a lesson and to make Yang more focused on training. Helping her do that was her vision which let her know enough about Yang's moves, that she was able to know what Yang would do next.
Also, she wasn't getting so many flashes of random fights, hugging Jaune helped center her a bit, keep the worse of the anger and pain and rage away. And helpful for her and Yang were as well were the new flashes from Jaune's and Yang's time together in Atlas, seeing Yang do her best while with Jaune, getting along well with him. Helping him. Pyrrha was thankful for that, and somewhat annoyed.
Pyrrha knew that she was still being a bit too brutal with Yang, her annoyance driving some of it, but she had to win and win overwhelming. Humble Yang. Humble team RWBY. Humble the whole class. Show them what a real fight is like. As Pyrrha moved to end the fight with a final kick she heard a whistle.
Yang was about to turn over when she heard a whistle. It was over?
Yang turned her head and saw Goodwitch and Port coming onto the ring, "Ms. Xiao Long's aura is in the red, winner Ms. Nikos." Goodwitch said as they both came to a stop near them. Yang looked at their auras and saw that hers was 13% while Pyrrha's was 70%. A blow out.
As Yang got up, she saw Pyrrha smile at her, what was up with Pyrrha? First, she destroyed Weiss and now her. Weiss, she knocked out and her…. Yang never thought that she was so far underneath Pyrrha.
Peter stepped up "Excellent fight ladies, a magnificent fight. So much passion from both of you. I dare say that very few students in this academy would have been able to face off against either of you." Peter smiled "Ms. Rose and Ms. Belladonna, neither of you have to challenge Ms. Nikos as Ms. Xiao Long already did so and both of you are scheduled to fight."
Glynda nodded and said "Ms. Xiao Long and Ms. Nikos, please return to your seats." Glynda then turned to Jaune and said "Mr. Arc you can also return to your seat now."
Yang nodded that Goodwitch and turned to Pyrrha "Have to say P-money, didn't know you could fight like that. We will have to spar again." Pyrrha answered with an of course. Yang then made her way back to her to the changing room.
Jaune watched the fight between Pyrrha and Yang, it was something he couldn't have imagined. Pyrrha fought against Yang in close quarters. Yang was the best hand to hand fighter in the first year, probably one of the best in school. But Pyrrha just owned her.
Jaune shook his head as Pyrrha made her way to him with a smile on her face. She beat both Yang and Weiss almost easily and brutally. Enough so that Jaune felt slightly bad for both of them. Neither were used to losing and losing so badly must not feel good.
Pyrrha smiled as she walked towards Jaune, step one in her plans for Weiss and Yang was done. Using what she knew from the vision she could counter both of them so completely that her wins were extremely one sided. Pyrrha held back a smirk at that thought. Her wins will also help Ruby and Blake train harder and hopefully make all of them come to her for help.
Pyrrha stop in front of Jaune and looked expectantly at him "So, how was my fight?"
Jaune smiled at her with a big, excited smiled "It was amazing, I never knew you could fight like that."
Pyrrha pulled Jaune into a hug and breathed out a breath, relaxing, almost nuzzling into Jaune's neck and shoulder. She felt the tension of the fights, the anger and pain of the vision, the dread of her plan for change not working, the pressure of changing the terrible future, leave her body. She snuggled deeper into Jaune, half cursing because their armor was getting in the way.
There was no more comfortable place in the world than in Jaune's arms, having him in her arms.
Pyrrha felt Jaune tense up the longer the hug went, right, they needed to get to their seats. Pyrrha moved a step back, moving her arms up onto Jaune's shoulders, "Well, guess we both should take a shower and return to our seats. See you in a minute." Pyrrha rubbed her cheek against his and walked to the changing room.
Jaune stayed in place for a second, the cheek rubbing was new, he felt his blush get worse. The arm holding and hugging he felt like he was dealing with pretty well, letting Pyrrha draw comfort from him. Hugging her back. The hug in front of the whole class was almost too much for him, though the fights distracted him. The cheek rubbing. That….
Jaune shook his head as he turned to walk to the changing room, Jaune felt like he was still dealing with his revelations at breakfast. That he was immensely attracted to Pyrrha, that he still liked Weiss, that he was more attracted to Yang than he thought. Seeing the fights, seeing Pyrrha win so overwhelming, the cheek rubbing, it caused reactions Jaune wasn't ready for.
He wanted to comfort Weiss and Yang, hug them, hold them. His hugs obliviously helped Pyrrha, maybe they could help Weiss and Yang. It was an impulse that he never had before and it was in spite of knowing that they didn't really need any comfort from him. And that they could wipe the floor with him.
And Pyrrha…. He didn't know if there was something wrong with him, but seeing her fight, made him even more attracted to her… Jaune shook his head again and walked into the changing room.
- Scene Break -
Ruby's eyes followed Yang as she left for the changing room and then focused on Pyrrha and Jaune hugging again. Did they have to hug that much…. Ruby pulled her thoughts back and focused on her currently ongoing hug. She looked down at Weiss still in her hug, Weiss still hugging her back, Weiss still resting her head on her shoulder. Weiss's hair was way too silky.
The fight against Pyrrha must have been even rougher than it looked. Weiss came back with such a depressed look on her face that Ruby had to hug her. She was surprised when Weiss accepted her hug and even hugged her back. Ruby was even more surprised that Weiss didn't let go, that when they sat down Weiss cuddled up to her and didn't move.
Ruby could only imagine what fighting Pyrrha when Pyrrha was going all out felt like. Even from what she saw both Weiss and Yang looked almost helpless and very frustrated. The fights weren't fair at all, Pyrrha being more aggressive than her normal invincible self and even using her semblance more often. Ruby knew she probably would have lost in less than a minute.
Ruby zoned out of a moment, just hugging Weiss tighter, rubbing her arm a bit. Trying to make Weiss feel better, like hugs always made her feel better. Ruby heard some noise which pulled her out of the hug zone. The noise was Yang walking up to them.
"Yang, you okay?" Ruby asked seeing a blank look on her sister's normally happy face.
Yang groaned "Yeah, I'm fine. Ego not doing so well, Pyrrha just destroyed me. I couldn't even fight back." She plopped down in her seat between Ruby and Blake. Yang looked over at Weiss cuddled up against Ruby.
"Weiss, you doing okay?" Yang asked.
Weiss sighed deeply and moved deeper into Ruby's side, she wasn't doing okay, but was doing better than before. To her surprise Ruby's hug was making her feel better. Weiss felt kind of bad that she never accepted hugs from Ruby before if they felt so good. Weiss tighten her grip on Ruby and moved her head to look at Yang.
"I'm better than I was right after the fight, but no, not doing all that well. Fighting Pyrrha when she was like that was harrowing, frustrating." Weiss sighed again and move her head back into Ruby's neck. She then mumbled "At least no one else from our team has to fight Pyrrha."
Yang nodded "Yeah, bad luck it was us that had to fight Pyrrha in the first place." Yang sighed and moved deeper into her seat. She felt a hand on her shoulder and looked over to see Blake with her hand on her shoulder, squeezing her shoulder lightly.
Yang smile at Blake "Aww Blakey, I'm feeling better now." Yang then moved her hand to cover Blake's and squeezed Blake's hand. Yang saw Ruby grinning at her and Blake and saw Blake roll her eyes at her. Wow two expressions in a row from Blake, definitely a strange day.
Blake was just as shocked as her teammates, seeing Pyrrha fight like that, seeing Weiss and Yang lose like that. It must have been devastating. Blake couldn't imagine what it would have been like for her if she had to fight Pyrrha. Blake turned to look at Pyrrha and Jaune moving from their hug to the changing rooms. What happened that caused Pyrrha to fight like that. Almost brutally.
And Jaune, who knew he could fight like that.
Blake looked at Weiss still in Ruby's hug and felt sorry for her, sure she was a Schnee, but over the two months Blake didn't really see Weiss acting like her father or her company. Blake briefly wondered if Weiss's loss to Pyrrha would stick with her. The feeling of not being able to do anything against your opponent.
Blake was pulled out of her thoughts by Yang, she had strange blank look on her face. Blake felt uneasy about that look, that it shouldn't be on Yang's normally overly expressive face. As Yang sat down Blake decided that if Ruby was busy helping Weiss, she would help her partner. She just didn't really know how to do it; comforting people wasn't her strong point.
But Yang's expression needed to change, that blank face needed to leave. So, Blake tentatively reached over and placed her hand on Yang's shoulder, squeezing it lightly. Yang made her regular joke, but with a move that surprised Blake, Yang placed her hand on top of hers and squeezed.
Blake smiled slightly, it was probably their first true partner supporting thing they did. And the light comfort that came from their squeezing hands felt pretty good.
While team RWBY started healing from their traumatic fights with Pyrrha, Jaune and Pyrrha made their way back to their seats. Jaune smiled at Ren and Nora when he sat down. Nora greeted him and Pyrrha with a loud "Woooo, what fights, you both kicked ass." While Ren nodded at them "Well done."
Jaune chuckled, feeling the praise of his team fill him, he didn't know how we managed that tied, but it felt so good to feel like his team's congratulations weren't just to make him feel better. Jaune felt a now familiar weight press against him, Pyrrha was leaning on him again, side pressed up against his, head resting on his shoulder. Her hair was so soft.
Pyrrha cozied up to Jaune as they sat down, she smiled at Nora and Ren and replied with a Thanks. The fights went better than expected and Jaune was actually responding to her hugs and closeness. If only their current closeness could take care off her underlying feelings. Pyrrha sighed lightly and snuggled even more into Jaune, and if the damn flashes of the vision, future, didn't happen during times she needed to focus.
Pyrrha had a sudden want to sit in Jaune's lap and see if that could affect her deeper feelings. She shook her head, nuzzling Jaune, no, not yet. Maybe during dinner, definitely when they get back to their dorm. Pyrrha make herself comfortable and settled in for the rest of the class.
- Scene Break -
In the somewhere, still sitting just above the fade, red hair and green eyes smiled widely, white teeth glinting in the reflecting colors of the fade. This was going better than she expected, Pyrrha was moving faster, Jaune was being more accepting, the girls of team RWBY were being more open and even the wizard played his part.
The red hair and green eyes was feeling better than she had in ages, if the Nikos and Arc could succeed, stop the fall of Beacon. Fix the wizard's mistakes. Stop the darkness. They could disrupt the plans of the godlings. Those arrogant beings that claimed this world and then proceeded to mess it up so spectacularly.
Red hair and green eyes was excited to see the show, it looked like it was going to be fun.
Chapter Two End
Hope everyone liked Part 2 of the first day, this Chapter was a lot longer than we planned and there is still a little more of classes to get through. We hope everyone is at least entertained by the fights, it was the first time we wrote descriptive fights and we are pretty happy with them. Say hi to Neil, one of the background shadow people given form. He is painfully average – average height, short brown hair, brown eyes, not that good of a fighter, better against Grimm, but a pretty good guy. We probably won't see him again.
Next chapter will be the rest of the first day and should be shorter than this one. Then we will move along quicker. The firsts of the changes are happening and some more are planned, hope everyone is looking forward to the changes.
The question still is in what universe has Pyrrha found herself in? Can Pyrrha figure out why things are different? And will Blake solve this mystery before dinner?
We would like to thank one reviewer in particular – HelpingHand, we added the fight with Weiss because of your review.
As a reminder this will not be the "Prime" timeline, we are changing when some events happen, as the timeline of show is not clear. Also everyone will be slightly different, why they are different might have a good reason or not.
See everyone in the next chapter.
