Chapter Five – Talks, Reactions, Serious Talks and Midterms
Still in Ruby's hug Yang looked at Blake and Weiss, what could she say, did she want to talk about her birth mother… no, egg donor… whatever Raven was to her or Pyrrha probably having a vision or something. Weiss was pretty sure that no one would have told Pyrrha the details and Yang agreed with Weiss on that.
But Pyrrha's vision of the future, what she said it showed… It wasn't a good future, full of fighting and arguing. Being constantly hounded by the bad guys. Her fighting Raven when Raven joined the bad guys.
Yang sighed "Sure Weiss, let's talk about the fact that it looks like Pyrrha had a real vision or something and it showed just the best future." She saw Weiss duck her head down and Blake looked at her. Ruby tightened her hug.
Yang sighed again, deeper this time, it wasn't Weiss's fault for who Raven was or how right Pyrrha's vision was. And she couldn't remember a time that Weiss actually reacted that badly to a comment. Plus, Blake's look was starting to sting.
"Sorry Weiss, its just that after hearing about Raven and Pyrrha saying that I will fight her in the future… a terrible future by the sounds of it." Yang shook her head. "It's just not the life I was expecting."
Weiss nodded "It might not be the actual future, just because Pyrrha was right about Raven, she could be wrong about everything else. Or everything else might happen differently. Your dad and uncle did say that what Pyrrha told us wasn't the full story."
Blake flinched, no, Pyrrha was right about two things. Raven and her own past. Blake looked down, should she tell her team the truth about her. That Pyrrha's vision was more right than the rest of her team knew. They already learned about Yang's birth mother being a bandit. Would her Fang past be worse?
No, not today, today was about Yang. Her learning about a bit of her past. Though as much as she tried Blake couldn't stop a quiet voice in her head calling her a coward. That she was running away again. Blake closed her eyes and looked back up at Yang. Her partner who was so much braver than her.
"Weiss is right, Pyrrha might have seen a version of the future, a version of our lives. And even if it was our future, us knowing about it means that our future now will be different." Blake said while resolving to tell her team the truth about her past soon. Like right after the midterms. And after she talked with Pyrrha.
Ruby nodded "Yeah just because Pyrrha was right about Raven being a bad person doesn't mean that what she saw will have to happen. We know about what can happen, so we can change it." Ruby squeezed herself even closer to Yang's side.
Ruby wasn't sure what else to do for her sister. Her sister who just learned that her birth mother was such a bad person. Ruby wouldn't know what to do if she learned that her mom was a bad person. Much less that her mom left because she thought being a bandit and strong was more important than her daughter.
Though to her shame Ruby was happy that Raven left and stayed away. It was because of Raven leaving that her dad and mom got together, that she was born. That she and Yang grew up how they did. Sure, there were problems and bad times, but more good times overall. Ruby didn't want to think what would have happened if Raven came back while they were young. If Raven raised them after her mom died.
Ruby would never tell Yang that. She also wouldn't tell Yang that even if Raven was a better person, she wouldn't have wanted Yang to find Raven. Ruby was happy and proud that Yang raised her as much as she did. Ruby wouldn't have wanted some woman to come in and raise her. Not when she had Yang.
Yang smiled at her team, all three trying to make her feel better. Yang knew that she was in a light state of shock, but she couldn't say that she was being rocked to her core. Yang wondered how much of her expected that Raven wouldn't be what she hoped her to be. What she wanted her to be.
That Raven is a bandit and left for such a stupid reason was the main cause of her shock. That she meant so little to the person who gave birth to her. But honestly Yang felt more disappointed than anything. The disappointment that her childhood dream was fake, her hope didn't turn out.
Now though, now there was something more important. That Pyrrha's vision might be correct. Yang couldn't start hoping that it wasn't or that everything would turn out differently because they knew. They needed to act to change things, like Ruby said.
Yang nodded "You all could be right. But Rubes is most right" Yang rubbed Ruby's head and smiled at Ruby's grumbles, "So the question is what do we do? Tell Pyrrha we kind of believe her and plan? Leave it alone for later? Leave Beacon and train somewhere else? I heard that some people train by following a huntsman on the job, we could do that."
Yang looked at the stares she got for suggesting that and shrugged. So sue her, Yang knew that she wasn't the ideas girl of the team.
A quiet fell on the room as Ruby looked at her teammates thinking about what to do. Ruby already made up her mind though, so she let go of Yang and stood up. Which caused her team to look at her.
"There is not much to do except train to be stronger and be better friends with each other. Though we should tell Pyrrha that she was right about Raven. Pyrrha must be confused herself." Ruby said while walking to the door.
Yang could understand that, dreaming about this terrible life only to find it sticking around in your head. Being convinced that what you saw will happen. Pyrrha must have doubts herself. Yang could see Blake looking that Ruby with what seemed like a thoughtful look on her face.
Blake was pondering what Ruby said. She didn't consider just how confused Pyrrha must be. To have all those memories… scenes… whatever, to have all that in her head. To be sure that she would die by the end of the school year. To be sure that her friends would have a painful life. It must be…
Weiss stood up and looked at Ruby "You mean now?"
Ruby nodded "Yup, starting tomorrow we will all be busy with midterms. So, unless we want to wait until next week, now is the only time."
Weiss sighed "We could just message her…" Weiss made her way to stand in front of Ruby.
"We could, but for something this important, we should tell her in person." Ruby said remembering what her dad always told her.
As Ruby and Weiss talked, Yang and Blake stood up as well and made their way to the door.
"So, do we know where Pyrrha is?" Yang asked.
Ruby looked at her sister "She and Jaune should be in their room, Jaune said something about Pyrrha having a rough night and them sleeping in during the weekend." Ruby pulled out her scroll and messaged Pyrrha and Jaune.
"So do we just wait until they message back?" Weiss asked.
"Nope, we can go to their room and check. I have the code for their door." Ruby said as she opened her room's door and stepped out to the hallway.
"Wait, how do you have their door code?" Weiss asked, confused and worried. Weiss saw Yang smiling at her sister. Probably imagining some crazy scenario. Blake stepped out after Ruby.
"Oh, Jaune gave it to me." Ruby said happily. She was really happy that Jaune trusted her enough to give her his door code.
Yang smirked as she walked into the hallway and closed their room's door behind her. "Did he now? Did he want you to drop by, late at night?" Though teasing Ruby aside, if Jaune did say that then Yang would need to have a potentially painful talk with him.
Ruby felt a blush explode on her face from Yang's teasing. "No, no, nothing like that." Ruby managed to stutter out. "A couple days ago we started talking about how to get us all together quickly if something happens. Or if we needed something from each other's room."
Ruby paused and scratched her head "So Jaune said that I should have his door code in case I need help from his team or need to help his team or him." Ruby smiled remembering how awkward Jaune was when he said it.
"He made a good point so after he gave me his door code, I gave him ours." Ruby said looking at her scroll for any reply and getting the code ready. Completely missing the shocked looks on her team's faces. With Weiss even developing an eye twitch at the fact that Jaune could just walk into their room any time.
Weiss looked wide eyed at Ruby "You what? You gave Arc our code? So he can just come into our room anytime?" Weiss moved and grabbed Ruby by the shoulders while staring at her.
Yang blinked at that information, but wasn't too concerned, Jaune wasn't the type of guy to peek and anything else weird he could do would make Ruby sad or mad and Jaune wouldn't hurt Ruby's feelings like at. It unfortunately was a good idea as well, they could duck into each other's rooms to get something, to meet up, to wait for each other.
Blake unknowingly copied her partner and blinked as well, she wasn't really worried about Jaune doing anything, he seemed to nice for any of that. But she was worried if team JNPR just dropping by would become a thing. They could catch her at a bad time, like ears out bad, in the rare times she did that in the room when she was alone.
Ruby looked at Weiss confused "What? Jaune said he would only use it in case of emergencies or if we have a gaming night or movie night and I don't hear the door or catch his message." She smiled at Weiss.
Weiss felt her eye twitch get worse, of course Ruby couldn't see anything wrong with giving their door code to Jaune. A guy. A guy that hit on her for almost two months. A guy who could now just walk into their room whenever.
Weiss looked into Ruby's happy eyes and let out a deep breath. Fine, fine, Ruby was happy with the code sharing for whatever reason. Weiss would just need to make it clear to Jaune that he couldn't just walk in whenever he wanted.
Though Weiss couldn't imagine Jaune actually doing anything wrong or perverted. Sure he was annoying, but he wasn't the type of guy to do anything. Also, he had Pyrrha hanging on him all the time now, so she wouldn't let Jaune do anything. Weiss grumbled at that for a moment.
"You know that we can't change that code easily, so we should only give it out after talking it over as a team. And we shouldn't be giving it to guys." Weiss said as she let go of Ruby's shoulders and sighed.
"Okay, next time we can talk about it, but it was Jaune and he gave me his code. What kind of friend would I be if I didn't give him ours." Ruby said as she walked to team JNPR door and held her scroll to it.
- Scene Break -
With a click the door unlocked and Ruby opened it. The room was dark with the lights off and the blinds covering the windows. Ruby looked to the right and left and found the light switch. With a flip the lights turned on and team RWBY was greeted with a shocking sight.
Ruby stared at blonde hair and red hair and as her eyes moved down she saw Jaune's face then Pyrrha's face pressed into Jaune's neck. Then their upper bodies pressed together, Pyrrha in a short tank top and Jaune without any shirt on. Their arms wrapped around each other. The blanket covered them from the waist down.
They were so close. Ruby couldn't see any space or gaps between them. And every few moments she saw Pyrrha pull herself closer to Jaune. And she saw movement under the blanket.
Ruby blinked, trying to clear her eyes, reset what she was seeing. Jaune and Pyrrha in bed together. She felt a blush build up and a gasp leave her as her hands moved up to her mouth. No matter how much she closed and opened her eyes the sight never changed. Jaune and Pyrrha in bed together. Sleeping together.
Ruby could only imagine how warm and comfy Pyrrha must be. Ruby felt a sudden spike of unfairness. That while she was worrying about the future and trying to support Yang through a difficult time. Jaune and Pyrrha were all cozy in bed together. She wanted to be cozy as well, where was Zwei when she needed him? Or Jaune…
She felt her blush get worse. They were just so close and had on so little. Ruby had a sudden thought… want… to see what the blanket was covering. What if one of the bumps in the blanket was something else?
Ruby was a 15-year-old, so much to Yang's dislike she did know about sex and how all that worked. Ruby could feel her blush get even worse. And she had a sudden impulse to move away from Yang. But because of Yang and her dad and Qrow and her own disinterest, she only knew what she was taught in school and what the three of them stuttered out.
Like any teenager going through puberty Ruby was curious, but she always cared more about being a huntress so she didn't spend much time looking into anything concerning boys or sex. Much to her dad's and Yang's delight. But now that it was in front of her she felt that curiosity come back.
Could she ask Jaune? He was her closest guy friend and he did have 7 sisters. So, he could… And Pyrrha seemed like she wouldn't lie to her or tell her that she needed to wait until she was 30... They could probably feel everything about each other.
Ruby heard another gasp beside her and a whistle.
Yang felt her eyes snap open, Jaune and Pyrrha in bed together. She knew that Pyrrha spent a night with Jaune, in the same bed. But to see it… Yang blinked and felt her eyes focus on Jaune's and Pyrrha's sleeping forms. They were pressed so close to each other.
Yang could see no space between their chests and she didn't know how that didn't hurt. Pyrrha's boobs were so squished against Jaune that it had to be uncomfortable. But Pyrrha was trying to get even closer.
And Yang didn't even want to think what the bumps and movement under the blanket were. Hands moving where, doing what? What if it wasn't just hands making the bumps?
Now Yang wasn't a prude, but unlike what other people thought of her, especially certain types of guys and girls, she wasn't a slut. Hell, she didn't have any experience. Pyrrha cozying up to Jaune, pressing her lips against Jaune's throat was more, further, than anything she did.
When Yang had Jaune give her a piggyback or when she leaned on his shoulder during the Huntsman watching night, that was further than she went with any guy. Yang's thoughts paused for a second there, she felt a sudden disbelief that Jaune was the guy she went the furthest with. She shook her head.
Getting her thoughts back on track, still looking that them so comfy together. Yang didn't feel too much loss or envy. She needed to take care of Ruby and the house and her dad and train. She didn't have the time or the want to date or get close to some guy. Much less want to have sex with them.
But… seeing how close they were, how cozy Pyrrha looked. And how fast Pyrrha moved, less than a week and she is in her partner's bed. In what she could guess was a total of 3 pieces of clothing between the two of them. Yang couldn't stop a low whistle from coming out.
Yang didn't think Pyrrha had this in her or that Jaune would do this.
Yang blinked and looked over to her sister. Ruby had a strangely thoughtful look on her face, Yang could see Ruby's eyes focusing on the blanket… What? What was her innocent little cinnamon roll of a sister looking at? Under the blanket were Jaune's and Pyrrha's waists and legs. But more importantly a part of Jaune she did not want her sister to think about, much less see.
This staring needed to end. Yang moved to the bed to wake them up.
Weiss was in a state of shock, she could not take her eyes off Pyrrha and Jaune, them so close in a bed. Weiss did remember Pyrrha saying that she spent a night sleep, only sleep, with Jaune after her vision. But did that continue? Did Pyrrha sleep with Jaune every night this week?
Weiss could feel her eyes drying out, but she couldn't blink. The sight of them in a bed together… Jaune having no shirt on… Pyrrha in a small tank top. It didn't make sense. What was Pyrrha doing? What was Jaune doing? He probably was enjoying this. Having Pyrrha pressed up against him.
Weiss finally blinked a few times, making her eyes feel better. But she wasn't. Pyrrha staying close to Jaune during the day was one thing. Them sleeping together was something else. What if he touched things or what if Pyrrha could feel a part of Jaune that Weiss did not want to think about.
Weiss felt a blush grow on her face and down her neck. She also let out a gasp that she couldn't keep in. What if that part was one of the bumps in the blanket? Or based on how they were sleeping, pressed against Pyrrha's legs. Weiss brought her hands up to her face.
Like Ruby who didn't learn more or care about guys or relationships or any form of sexuality due to Yang, her dad and her own disinterest. Weiss knew even less, her father making sure that any scroll use at the house had a ridiculous filter. Also, Weiss herself was similarly not interested and really annoyed, even hostile towards guys trying anything with her.
Weiss didn't much care about any relationships or guys growing up. Her goal of being a huntress, her planning to fix her family's company, her schooling and all the various activities her father had her signed up for, took up all her time. And once mostly grown up she rejected all the fake coming on from guys and girls. So, she had no experience at all.
Seeing Pyrrha and Jaune in bed together was the most scandalous, sexual, thing she ever experienced. Her couple quick searches once she was at Beacon with her new scroll just to see what a guy's body looked like or to get some details on how sex looked like. Seeing that through a screen was nothing compared to seeing them now. In real life.
She could see Jaune's and Pyrrha's chests expand with each breath. She could see the muscles of Jaune's back and arms. Pyrrha's muscles tensing every time she pulled herself closer to Jaune. Weiss shut her eyes. Her blush now fully red and stretching over her whole face and neck and ears.
Her eyes snapped open when she heard Yang moving.
Blake looked at the scene with the least amount of shock of team RWBY. Pyrrha and Jaune sleeping together was surprising, but Pyrrha did say that she slept with Jaune when she had her vision to feel better. And only sleep.
Jaune's and Pyrrha's upper bodies were a bit surprising. Jaune had more muscles than she thought and Pyrrha was just as fit as she expected. They were much closer to each other than she thought. Though Pyrrha having her breasts squished so much must be a little painful.
Blake blinked, sleeping with someone for comfort wasn't something she did. But in the White Fang space was in short supply and more often than not on some mission she would she sharing a bunk or blanket with someone. A fellow brother or sister of the Fang.
Blake's mind jumped to a memory of a cold night in a corner of a warehouse where Adam, Ilia and her had to share a thin blanket. Trying to keep warm. It must have been 6 years ago. When they were still kids. Before a protest in some larger town.
Blake knew that she was the most experienced of her team, and not just because of her taste in books. Her quasi relationship with Adam was close for a time. She spent many nights sharing a bunk or blanket with him and even a couple nights going further.
Though she never took the final step, living with the White Fang wasn't comfortable and Blake didn't want to have sex in some field or in a basement or warehouse surrounded by her fellow Fang brothers and sisters. There was just no privacy. And that was only when they had some downtime. The rest of the time was taken up by missions and training and travel.
Though Blake couldn't say she didn't think about it. She did like Adam for a time.
But Blake was very happy that she didn't have sex with him. In the last couple months Adam got private rooms which she stayed in with him. But by then he seemed to have changed so much that she didn't want to be that close to him, much less do anything with him.
Blake let out a quiet sigh from her walk down memory lane. Thinking about Adam always brought up a lot of emotions. Regrets, anger, sadness, disappointment.
Refocusing on Pyrrha and Jaune she couldn't see any signs that they went further. Pyrrha probably just went to Jaune for comfort.
Blake then saw Yang moving to the bed.
"What are you doing?" Weiss whisper shouted to Yang.
"It's already almost 10, Nora and Ren could be back any time and we need to talk to Pyrrha." Yang turned from looking at Weiss and moved closer to the bed. "I'll just wake them up."
As Yang moved to shake Pyrrha's shoulder she heard a "Shh, you are so loud" coming from below. A quick look down showed green eyes staring at her.
"Hey Pyrrha, morning." Yang said with a smirk.
Pyrrha sighed and pressed her face even deeper into Jaune's neck for a second before turning her head to look at Yang. Behind Yang she saw the rest of team RWBY. "What are you doing here and how did you get in?" she asked a smirking Yang.
Yang couldn't resist a joke and quoted one of her favorite comedies. "I'm the locksmith and I'm the locksmith." It didn't fit perfectly, but Yang's smirk turned into a pleased smile. She saw Pyrrha groan into Jaune's neck and heard the sighs from behind her.
"Though seriously, we need to talk and now is the best time. And Jauney gave Ruby the code for your door." Yang said while pointing back at Ruby. Who smiled and waved at Pyrrha, with a huge blush still on her face.
Pyrrha sighed again, she was so warm and comfortable that she was highly tempted to chase the girls out of the room and go back to snuggling with Jaune. Plus, Jaune was rubbing her butt, something that Pyrrha was quickly growing very fond of.
But she had to ask "Talk about what?"
Yang lost her smile a bit "About your vision, I talked with my dad and uncle and what you said about Raven was true. Mostly true. So, we" Yang motioned to her team "wanted to talk about a few things before midterms started."
Pyrrha blinked, she didn't think that Yang would have talked with her dad so soon, or that they would believe her to this extent. Pyrrha felt a happy that they were open minded enough or trusted her enough to consider her vision true. She was also a bit relieved that a detail from her vision was confirmed true. She knew that it was, but the confirmation was nice.
Pyrrha nodded "Alright, we can talk. Just give me a second." She then had a naughty idea. She could see Ruby's eyes darting between looking at Jaune's waist, at her and at Yang. Weiss's eyes also kept going back to Jaune. Yang looked at both her and Jaune and Blake was taking in the whole scene.
Pyrrha felt a small smirk grow, she could accidentally show the girls what was pressing against her leg. Jaune was wearing his looser pajama pants, so his size would be shown a bit better. Though it would be a mean thing to do to Jaune. But it would show Weiss and Yang up somewhat. Ruby and Blake would be unfortunate or fortunate collateral damage.
And it would follow their unwritten rule, Pyrrha didn't bring attention to Jaune's dick pressing against her whenever she woke up. As pleased as that made her. And Jaune didn't bring attention to her breasts pressed against him. She assumed that he was as pleased as her. Or any touching that happened during sleep. No matter how good it felt.
Hmm, Pyrrha was stuck for a second, before she decided to be naughty. She would explain herself to Jaune that she was just getting ahead of any other potential situation where the girls would see Jaune sleeping. Or maybe when anyone else would have to sleep beside Jaune. However unlikely that was. Or if they walked in on an undressed Jaune.
Plenty of situations could happen on missions, in small towns, even now with team RWBY just walking into the room. Her showing him in his pajama pants now, in a controlled environment was better for everyone.
And Pyrrha would get the added benefit of seeing Weiss and Yang humbled a little. Blake would get a show. Though Ruby could be thrown for a loop. But that was a small price to pay. Plus, Pyrrha knew she had the smallest amount of resentment or jealousy toward Ruby and how close she and Jaune were from the start.
With a loud sigh and grumble Pyrrha kicked off the blanket and stretched, arcing her back, pressing herself even more into Jaune's chest. She slowly got out of Jaune's arms then got up and stretched again. Extending her arms up as much as they could go, standing on her toes.
A second of rolling her head around later she leaned down and covered a sleeping Jaune with the blanket. She couldn't resist running her hand through his soft, sleep messed hair.
As Pyrrha turned to look at the girls she saw the looks of shock and blushes she wanted to see. With a small innocent smile, she tilted her head a bit and asked "What?"
- This part can be skipped, it exists for two people, you know who you are, though if you want to read about team RWBY's reaction to seeing Jaune's erection and Pyrrha in very little clothes go ahead -
As Pyrrha got out of Jaune's arms and stood up, Yang moved back a bit and thought about how to approach the upcoming talk about a vision. Though what caused her thoughts to crash was what she saw on the bed. A sleeping Jaune in only soft looking pajama pants with possibly the largest erection she ever saw. Though she did not have all that much to compare it to. Just some late night looking on her scroll.
Yang blinked and wondered how Pyrrha slept with that pressed against her. How did Jaune sleep with that stretching his pants. It looked somewhat painful. Yang blinked again trying to erase the sight of Jaune's pant covered dick from her mind. A moment later, after Pyrrha stretched a bit, she covered Jaune with the blanket.
Yang could feel a blush growing on her face, her eyes darting between Pyrrha and Jaune. Was Pyrrha used to having that pressed against her? Did she like it? Yang closed her eyes. Why did Pyrrha show it to them? And was Jaune rubbing her butt?
Yang looked at Pyrrha, she never saw Pyrrha in so little clothes. They generally didn't change together. But Pyrrha was as fit was she thought. Her boobs were big, maybe even as big as her girls, bigger? And Pyrrha had more muscles showing than she did. In short Pyrrha was even hotter than she thought. Yang blinked when she imagined Jaune's dick pressed against Pyrrha's muscled thigh. Or pressed against something else…
Yang shook her head and had a sudden thought of what would happen if Cardin and the rest of the guys who picked on Jaune knew how big he was. Most of what they did was a dick measuring contest anyways.
But she couldn't believe that Jaune, goofy, dorky Jaune. The guy who played videogames and talked cartoons and comics with Ruby had that. She sat pressed up against him that night, was his dick just there?
Oh Gods, Ruby, Yang looked at her sister who had the biggest blush she ever saw on her face. Ruby sat on Jaune's lap. Did she feel that? Yang had the sudden need to wrap her sister up in her arms and take her away. Maybe send her home. And beat up Jaune for good measure.
As Pyrrha got out of bed Ruby felt her eyes open wide. Her want was answered. And it was so big. How could Pyrrha sleep with that pressed against her? How did Jaune sleep with that being force down by his pants? It had to be uncomfortable.
Was it really hard? Warm? Ruby had so many questions. Why was it so big? How would that fit? Would Pyrrha know? Ruby looked at Pyrrha who finished stretching and covered Jaune up with the blanket.
Ruby felt a sudden stab of inferiority, Pyrrha was tall, had big boobs, had muscles and curves in all the right places. Ruby knew that Yang was more attractive than her, Blake as well. And Weiss was more elegant. But Pyrrha was still a question, she could have been all muscle or something. But no Pyrrha had a body similar to Yang.
Ruby sighed, shut her eyes and shook her head trying to get rid of that thought. It wasn't fair to anyone and she was still growing. When she opened her eyes, Jaune's… thing was covered. Ruby blinked with the sudden want to look at it again. Years of unconscious curiosity egging her on. A long forgotten and ignored voice adding to the want.
Ruby felt a jolt of panic and looked over to Yang who was glaring at Jaune. Oh Gods, Yang! What would she do to Jaune? Ruby could see Yang's fists clench. But it wasn't Jaune's fault that she saw his covered erection. Ruby blinked again when she had the image of Jaune's sleeping pant covered erection pop into her head.
Her blush covered her whole face in deep red. Ruby couldn't pull her eyes from Jaune's waist. She knew that Jaune was a guy, but he was Jaune first. Her fellow socially awkward club member. The person she could talk videogames and movies and cartoons and even board games with. He was dorky and a bit clumsy and so friendly.
He wasn't a guy guy, he was Jaune. Now though, now Ruby knew that he was a guy with a big… thing and all the guy urges that came with it. Everything Yang and her dad and Qrow warned her about. Ruby blinked, but apart from his flirting with Weiss, Jaune never did anything like they said. And he was still Jaune.
As Yang decided if she should pull Ruby behind her and Ruby re-evaluated Jaune as a guy, Blake was in mild shock. Looking from Pyrrha to Jaune and back to Pyrrha and settling on Yang once she noticed Yang's fists clench. A potential fight between Yang and Pyrrha pulling her from her thoughts.
Her thoughts that Jaune was that big, that Pyrrha seemed fine, glad even, to sleep with that pressed against her. That Jaune was in better shape than she thought, probably because of Pyrrha's training. That Pyrrha was more… more… than she thought. That it looked like Jaune was rubbing Pyrrha's butt.
Blake never saw either of then in so little before. Jaune's form wasn't anything very impressive, Adam was in better shape. Though Jaune did look bigger than Adam. Blake mentally chuckled at what Adam's reaction to that would be. But Pyrrha, she was more muscled than she expected, with curves, and breasts probably around the same size as her partner's.
Blake did notice that Pyrrha and Yang had similar body types… Huh… Blake did not know why her brain caught that. Or that she had a sudden wonder what Jaune would look like after a year of training with Pyrrha. What she might look like after training with Pyrrha. What her team might look like.
But Yang's potential fight with Pyrrha first. Blake tensed a bit when it looked like Pyrrha noticed Yang fists. She wasn't sure what a fight in the dorm room would lead to… or break, but nothing good could come from it.
Weiss decided that she was just done. Done with this last week. Done with being shocked and surprised. Sure, Jaune and Pyrrha slept in the same bed. Sure, Jaune was more fit than she expected. Sure, Pyrrha was better looking than she thought. And sure, Jaune had a big… thing. Because of course he did.
What else could be next, that Pyrrha and Jaune already had sex? Or that Pyrrha had some plan to get them all attracted to Jaune? Or Pyrrha just wanted to brag? Oh, Weiss knew how this could all end, Pyrrha actually saw a different future, one with that ended with both teams in a pile, all naked.
Weiss sighed and thought about what went wrong in her life to get to this point. The point that Pyrrha just showed them all Jaune's pant covered erection. The point that Weiss could feel the heat from her blush on her neck. The point that she was wondering, just for a second, how sleeping next to Jaune with that against her would feel.
Weiss shut her eyes and tried to get her thoughts back on track and off certain parts of Jaune's and Pyrrha's anatomy. How did Pyrrha get all those muscles and still have curves and large breasts? How was that fair? Why did Pyrrha look like her sister and mother and why did she not? Weiss wanted to know where her shortness and… underdeveloped chest came from.
Weiss cursed her father and his entire family line once again. And tried again to pull her thoughts away from Jaune and Pyrrha and her growing sense of unfairness… and strange thoughts…
Weiss sighed deeper. Why did Pyrrha do that, show them Jaune's… thing… Weiss shuddered a bit. Did she mean to or was it by accident? And now Weiss needed to stop thinking about that… would her hand… Nope. None of that.
Movement from Yang caught her eye and pulled her attention to her teammate and her clenched fists.
- And we are back to regularly scheduled programing -
Pyrrha felt a bit smug exposing the girls to a surprise. Though Yang tensing fist and angry glaring at Jaune caught her attention. Whoops, Pyrrha knew she messed up a bit, triggering Yang's overprotectiveness of Ruby.
"Yang?" Pyrrha asked with a warning in her tone, taking a step forward and straightening her back to stand at her full height in front of Yang. Being a good couple inches taller than Yang. There were some times that Pyrrha was happy she was so tall. Looking down at someone can help in coming off as intimidating.
Yang glanced at Pyrrha and noticed her stern expression. Yang let out a big breath and tried to calm down a bit. She knew that if she made any move against Jaune, she would have to deal with an angry Pyrrha. Not a fight she wanted to repeat. Pyrrha was very protective of Jaune. More than just partner or friend levels of protective.
Yang let out another breath and focused fully on Pyrrha, a Pyrrha that was still wearing only a short tank top and boxers. Man, Pyrrha was a good bit taller than her even without heels or shoes. That was a bit annoying, Yang never did like people looking down on her.
"Right, now that you are up, you want to put some clothes on and we can talk in our room?" Yang managed to say through partly clenched teeth.
Pyrrha nodded, coming to the decision that she pushed Yang just a bit too far. "Sure, give me a second." She said as she grabbed a pair of sweatpants, too big for her, so Jaune's, and she put on Jaune's button up shirt from yesterday that was on the chair. Which fit her pretty well, just a bit too baggy.
"Okay, we can go." Pyrrha said to a surprised looking team RWBY.
Team RWBY without knowing it all had similar thoughts cross their mind. Why was Pyrrha putting on Jaune's clothes? Why was she so comfortable putting them on? Why wasn't it weirder for them? It felt like it should look stranger than it was.
Ruby looked Pyrrha up and down with a grumble, wondering why it bugged her somewhat that Pyrrha put on Jaune's clothes. Maybe the sense that Jaune wasn't as close to her as he was to Pyrrha… Jaune's hoodie always did look soft…
Weiss blinked and forced herself to let go of all her questions, she was done with Pyrrha and Jaune and their strange behavior. Done. Weiss shook her head and turned to the door. Maybe talking about visions would make more sense.
Yang looked Pyrrha up and down, why did she grab Jaune's clothes? Did she wear his clothes in their room? Yang was thankful for the distraction which helped calm her down more. It took her mind off the dislike… anger… something towards Pyrrha that Yang could feel at this moment.
Blake copied her partner and looked Pyrrha up and down, she did forget at times how much taller and bigger Pyrrha was compared to her or even Yang. Seeing Jaune's clothes basically fit her was… interesting… eye opening. Blake shook her head, too many scenes from her books popping into her head.
Pyrrha smiled widely at team RWBY, quite happy that she had the chance to put on Jaune's clothes. She always did find anything loose more comfortable to relax in.
Pyrrha stepped forward towards the door when she was interrupted by a sleepy sounding Jaune asking "Pyrrha? What's going on? Why is everyone in our room?"
Team RWBY and she looked at Jaune and Pyrrha felt a sudden urge to hug him and coo, he looked so adorable waking up. All sleepy and soft and messed up hair. Why was she leaving Jaune to talk to team RWBY again? She could just feel the warmth and comfort emanating from Jaune.
Pyrrha replied "Yang and the girls wanted to talked for a bit, I'm going to their room. You can go back to sleep Jaune."
Jaune nodded "Okay, see you in a bit." He laid back down and sighed. He woke up because he felt the now normal, expected, warmth and comfort missing. Gods, he was in trouble, a few nights sleeping with Pyrrha cuddled up against him and now he wakes up because she is missing from his bed, his side.
Jaune sighed, that can't be good. Sure, for now due to her vision Pyrrha wanted to sleep next to him, but what about in a week or month. What would happen then? Would he be able to sleep alone now, after feeling what it was to sleep cuddled with someone?
Jaune saw Pyrrha still looking at him and smiled at her "Probably won't fall asleep, but I'll be here relaxing." Jaune then reached over and grabbed his scroll.
Pyrrha smiled back at Jaune and turned to walk to the door with the rest of the girls minus Weiss who was already at the door with a weird look on her face.
Weiss blinked and wondered why she suddenly thought of a golden retriever. Jaune's hair all messy and shaggy. Him pawing at his eyes, rubbing them. Those were weird thoughts…
Ruby had to catch her thoughts when she saw Jaune wake up, did he wake up like that every morning? Did Pyrrha see that every morning? His hair was so messy, but looked so fluffy. Pyrrha ran her hand through his hair, did she do that regularly? Was it as fluffy as it looked?
Yang like her sister was also focusing on Jaune's hair, as someone who loved her hair and knew a lot about hair, she had a sudden urge to know what shampoo Jaune used. It didn't look like it needed to be washed even after a night of sleep. It looked soft.
Blake wondered what Pyrrha would have done if Jaune asked her to come back to bed with him. She shook her head right after that thought. Sure, Pyrrha and Jaune were showing some romance novel level signs… things… displays. But that wasn't important now. She had to stamp down her strange urge to grab her notebook and start journaling what the two of the did.
Ruby shook her head and walked out of the room following Weiss and was followed by the rest with Yang asking Pyrrha what shampoo Jaune used as they stepped out into the hallway and Pyrrha closed her room's door. A quick second later Ruby hopped ahead of Weiss and opened her room's door.
- Scene Break -
As everyone walked into team RWBY's room Pyrrha got herself ready for a potentially difficult conversation. Her vision was true about Raven how? What did Yang and the rest of team RWBY want to know or talk about? More details about that? Something else? They already asked a bunch of follow up questions over the week.
After a second, they all sat down, Ruby and Weiss sitting on Weiss's bed, Yang and Blake on Yang's bed and Pyrrha took a desk chair to sit down on. Huh, Pyrrha always wondered how the bunk beds that the girls made didn't fall apart. They did not look stable.
Yang let out a breath and looked at Pyrrha after a second of collecting her thoughts. "Okay, okay, like I said I called my dad and him with my uncle said that what you told us about Raven was mostly true. So I need to ask, did you heard about Raven or the Branwen tribe while you lived in Mistral?"
Pyrrha shook her head "No, I never heard of them, I don't know if you would believe me, but no one around me talked about bandits or anything much from outside the city."
Yang nodded "Right, so I have a question, do you know why Raven left me, and not just the wanting to be a bandit part?" If Pyrrha knew this then Yang decided she would just accept that what Pyrrha experienced was actually a vision or prophecy or something. Though it would take a lot more for her to truly accept.
Pyrrha blinked and searched the vision, it was very strange to her that the vision was almost like an indexed movie and intangible dream at the same time. She could pull up any part of the vision easily and couldn't at the same time. Pyrrha knew that she was missing some code or something which would help her be able to actively remember any part of the vision .
Pyrrha after a moment of searching found what she was looking for, though had to decide how much to tell "Raven left because of her want to be strong and her disagreements with Ozpin."
Yang blinked at how sarcastically Pyrrha said strong, but she was right. That was the reason Raven left. Yang sighed and nodded "Yup, that's what my dad and uncle said. And I don't know how you would have known that. You never talked with any bandits?"
Pyrrha chuckle and shook her head no.
Yang laughed "Yeah, I expected that. So Pyrrha, guess you actually had some sort of vision." She ended with smiling at Pyrrha.
Ruby nodded along with Yang, she didn't know how Pyrrha would have know being strong as a reason. From what her dad said it sounded like no one else apart from their team knew.
Blake blinked, what was that quote 'Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it's enemy action'. And Pyrrha was three for three, four for four? So, either Pyrrha had some source of intelligence that got past her and which knew all these secrets or she had a vision, prophecy…
Weiss sighed and again cursed what her life turned into. So Pyrrha had a vision, the only other way would be call and message interception and spies or informants. Not something she could see Pyrrha having or doing. That was Kingdom or large corporate level stuff. Weiss shook her head and looked at a lightly smiling Pyrrha.
Pyrrha smiled at Yang "Yeah, not what I expected going through, but it has been helpful in at least showing what not to do."
"Right, the next question I have is more of a two parter." Yang held up her hand and extended one finger "First, you said that the bitch that attacks Beacon is under our nose? Where is she? Did we meet her yet?"
"No, we haven't met her yet, she shows up with the students from Mistral at the end of this semester." Pyrrha paused for a second deciding if she should tell them about Ruby's encounter. She should. Pyrrha pointed to Ruby "Though Ruby encountered her before Beacon when she chased after Roman. Cinder was piloting the Bullhead and sent the fire and glass at Goodwitch."
Ruby gasped as the rest of the team looked at her. She and Goodwitch were already attacked by Cinder? The one who kills Pyrrha. Ruby blinked. What would have happened to her if Goodwitch wasn't there? Beating up the goons that Roman had was easy, but Roman was strong and… Ruby felt lucky she got out of a fight against both Roman and Cinder.
Yang was staring at Ruby; she already had a run in with the person who kills Pyrrha? Well, that was Ruby's luck. But still, that was too close a call, if not for Goodwitch then… Yang had a very uneasy feeling grow at the casual way that she handled Ruby's fight with Roman. Yang gulped and clenched her fists. That close call couldn't happen again.
Weiss looked Ruby up and down, a useless move, but Weiss needed to do it to sooth the sudden spike of worry she got. To make sure that Ruby was fine. That the person who kills Pyrrha didn't harm her.
After 2 months Weiss thought she knew Ruby pretty well, not all the details, but in general. And rushing Roman, a well known criminal, sounded like something Ruby would do again. If this Cinder was hanging around Roman then… Weiss would need to stay on guard.
Blake like Weiss had a spike of worry rush through her. She glanced from Yang to Ruby and back. Ruby had a stunned look on her face and Yang had an intense look that Blake never saw on her face before. Blake knew the feeling of just missing death. Having it skim past you. It was an unsettling feeling. Something that Ruby was probably feeling now.
Ruby blinked "Wait, so Cinder is in Vale now?"
Pyrrha nodded "Yes, since before the beginning of Beacon."
Ruby cut Yang off as she was opening her mouth "Do you know where she is? We shouldn't let her attack Beacon to fight her. And letting her come to Beacon as a student…" Ruby looked down as she pondered how wrong it would be for that to happen.
Pyrrha shook her head "Don't go looking for her, you are not ready to fight her, none of us are." It was a sad truth, even if all 5 of them attacked Cinder it probably wouldn't turn out good. Cinder was more experienced than them, far more ruthless, a killer and she had half of the Maiden's power.
Yang clenched her fists even harder; she really didn't like Pyrrha stating that like a fact. Even though it probably was. She saw Ruby looking down, Weiss was biting her lip with an uneasy expression on her face and Blake was looking from Ruby to Pyrrha with a worried look.
"So, we do nothing?" grabbed the room's attention and everyone looked at Yang.
"Against Cinder? Yes, until we are ready, we don't get close to her." Pyrrha looked at Yang. It must have been a depressing thought for team RWBY. They were, apart from her team, the best team in the first year and better than most of the teams in the second and third year.
So, telling them that they were not strong enough must not feel good. And add to that Weiss's and Yang's losses against her, not a good week for their self-esteem.
Pyrrha cleared her throat "We train and get better. We also need to unlock Jaune semblance as it comes in extremely useful multiple times." Pyrrha paused for a moment looking over the girls, she hoped, really hoped that they would not have to fight Cinder. That she could take care of Cinder without endangering anyone.
There was also the rest of Salem's merry band of murders. Plus, Adam and his faction of the White Fang. And Roman's little partner if Roman dies anywhere near team RWBY or her team. Pyrrha sighed, so many bad guys that no one did anything about.
Ruby nodded as Pyrrha talked. An enemy stronger than Pyrrha. Would Qrow be stronger than Cinder? Ruby shook her head. More importantly, they needed to train and train harder than they did over the last two months where her team kind of got by with the skills and abilities they already had.
Blake let out a breath, stronger huh… She knew that Pyrrha was stronger than her, probably by quite a bit based on her fights against Yang and Weiss. But having just months to get stronger than a Pyrrha with nearly a year of Beacon training. Blake didn't know how that could happen.
Weiss sighed as she looked around the room, Pyrrha was dead serious. And her team wasn't taking the information well. Knowing how far behind they really were and how little time there was to get better. Weiss was a bit happy that she would get her training with Pyrrha. But the end goal of it… to deal with the Cinder… it made her very uneasy.
Yang relaxed her hands, slightly stinging after clenching them too hard. So, just a few months to catch up to Pyrrha, to get better than a future version of her. It was a challenge, and on one hand Yang was excited for it, on the other she was just beat down and beat down hard by Pyrrha. So, Yang knew that it might not be something they could do.
Ruby looked up at Pyrrha "Cinder is that strong? What if it was all of us against her?" Ruby had to ask, she had to know.
Pyrrha looked at Ruby sadly "Yes, Cinder is stronger than me by a large margin and even if all of us fight her at the same time, it might not be enough." Pyrrha looked from Ruby to Weiss to Yang to Blake and back. "Cinder is arrogant, very overconfident, Jaune took advantage of that to hurt her badly. But in a straight fight…" Pyrrha shook her head.
"We would need to isolate her, use her arrogance against her, attack her all at once and never let up the pressure. But if we did that now… even if we won, some us of would be dead. No two ways about it." Pyrrha sighed. "We need to get stronger and train together to know how we all fight and how we can better fight together."
The room was quiet after that for a moment, everyone processing what Pyrrha said. Pyrrha after opening her mouth a few times continued "Sometime next month we will need to have a sparring match, all of you against me and see how it goes. If you all can't beat me now then you would have no chance against Cinder."
All of team RWBY looked at Pyrrha who had a look just slightly less serious than during the spars. A wave of uneasiness swept through team RWBY.
Pyrrha was starting to get agitated, now familiar darker thoughts coming up, team RWBY bouncing from one narrow win to another, but not training enough. Never really training enough over the years. And losing badly because of it.
Pyrrha let out a slow steadying breath, this was the first time since the vision that she was alone with team RWBY. No Jaune. Not even Nora or Ren to help her feel better. Pyrrha had complicated feelings about team RWBY. And the more of the vision became clear, the more complicated her feelings got.
As good as the girls were, they shouldn't have been the saviors Ozpin pinned any of his hopes to. Ozpin, Ozma, himself was also at times a disaster of a leader. Pyrrha knew how bad they all messed up and how much they relied on luck to carry the day. How naïve and petty they were a times.
Pyrrha clenched her fist and tried again to relax as the failures of team RWBY flashed in her head. She would need to have them trust each other and her team. She would need to have Jaune and Ruby get better at planning. Pyrrha knew that she wasn't a planner, but even she could see the lack of plans over the years.
Yang nodded to Pyrrha's suggestion, them against her sounded like an interesting fight. Yang wondered what the odds were that they won. 50/50? Better? But it was a good idea. The rest of her team looked at each other and nodded as well. They would need to come up with ideas of how to fight Pyrrha.
A moment later Yang clapped her hands. "Right, we will schedule that fight and stay away from Cinder. By the way what does she look like?"
Pyrrha turned to Yang, pulled out of her thoughts "Um, black hair, amber eyes, a bit taller than you Yang, slim, full figure. Paleish skin. Wears a red dress. Older than us, but looks young."
Yang nodded "Okay, typical hot evil lady. Good to know…. So, you actually answered the second part of my question but I have a third. Why?"
"Why she attacked?" Pyrrha asked feeling the eyes of team RWBY on her.
"Yes, there has to be a reason why she attacks Beacon." Yang said with Ruby nodding along.
Pyrrha licked her lips, Jaune knew why, but she didn't want to, shouldn't, tell the girls just yet. Too much could happen in the next few months. But what to tell them… "I… She is searching for something, something that she thinks is hidden here at Beacon. She finds it."
Weiss jumped in before Yang could open her mouth "Do you know what it is?"
Pyrrha shook her head "She attacks Haven and Atlas for the same reason. She gets Raven to help her for the same reason. The academies are her targets, but she spreads death and destruction everywhere she goes."
Ruby gulped, this talk got far more serious than what she was expecting, she was thinking that Yang would only ask a few questions about Raven and what everyone could do to get ready. But this… Ruby shook her head. She didn't know how future her was able to handle everything that happened to her, to her friends. To Yang.
Blake was in a mild state of shock, she could feel her hands twitching and shivers running down her back. And Adam helps Cinder as well… Though there was one thing that was gnawing at her mind "Was Cinder in charge or working for someone else?"
Blake's question pulled Weiss from her thoughts, the information Pyrrha just shared, if true, wasn't good. What could the academies be hiding? Was it worth so many lives?
Pyrrha didn't know how to answer that, she couldn't tell them anything about Salem yet, but to lie? Pyrrha turned to Blake "Yes, she is working for someone, someone that she is afraid of."
Blake nodded and wanted to ask for more details, but saw Pyrrha staring at her with a hard look on her face shaking her head. Blake actually gulped and had to let out a breath to release the tension building inside her.
The rest of team RWBY saw Pyrrha expression as well and looked at each other, did Pyrrha not know who or did she know and not want to tell them… Or is it that she can't?
Ruby started to open her mouth when Pyrrha looked at her and shook her head. Ruby had to roll her shoulders around to release the massive spike of tension that shot down her back and into her legs. All her muscles felt stiff. Ruby didn't know that Pyrrha could be this unsettling… intense…
Weiss could only look down, the hard look on Pyrrha's face freaked her out. She was no longer surprised that Pyrrha could make expressions like that, but it was still very unnerving. Weiss had to steady her breathing to calm her heart which she could feel beating quickly… She couldn't stop her fingers from digging into her legs.
Yang seeing the reaction of her sister and partner and seeing Weiss looking down wiggled her toes and fingers to let go of some of the pressure she could feel building up. Okay, Pyrrha did not want to talk about it… that itself was a sign of something very bad… Yang would let it go for now.
Pyrrha was deep in her mind remembering the warmth and comfort that Jaune gave her. She could feel her muscles all tense, her breathing getting rapid when she wasn't concentrating on it. All the fights that Jaune took part in, every fight Cinder took part in. They all went through her head. All the suffering and pain… Pyrrha knew that she needed to get back to Jaune.
Yang nodded "That was everything I had. Thanks for letting us know. It couldn't have been easy."
Pyrrha smiled at Yang, a slightly painful smile that caused all of team RWBY to stiffen.
"Pyrrha?" Ruby asked "Are you okay?"
Pyrrha could feel the wood of the armrest of the chair cracking under the left hand. A moment later the armrest snapped.
Pyrrha gasped and stood up, quickly followed by the restaurant of team RWBY.
"Pyrrha?" Yang asked and stepped forward slowly, reaching out with one hand. She could see Blake behind her looking worried, Ruby was wide eyed almost freaking out and Weiss was blinking at Pyrrha also raising her hand.
A step later and Yang placed her hand on Pyrrha's shoulder and felt how stiff she was. Yang could feel Pyrrha's muscles all tense under Jaune's shirt. "Pyrrha?" she tried again.
Pyrrha's eyes snapped to Yang and Yang had to steady herself from the intense look in them. Yang felt like if she made one wrong move Pyrrha would break her arm. "You good? What do you need?"
A moment later Yang saw Ruby step up beside Pyrrha and place a hand on Pyrrha's arm.
Ruby felt when Pyrrha's eyes looked at her. The look was an almost pain filled one. Ruby looked up to Yang with slight panic in her eyes and back to Pyrrha "Pyrrha, you okay?" Out of the corner of her eye she could she Blake waving Weiss back.
Pyrrha looked from Ruby to Yang, the sisters trying their best to calm her a bit, but she couldn't hear what they were saying. The blood rushing through her ears along with the beating of her own heart being the only sounds she could hear.
She could also see Blake pulling Weiss back as not to crowd her. Pyrrha let out a breath but couldn't relax her hands or arms. Her fists were tightening and she could feel the need to push Yang and Ruby off her growing. They were not who she needed.
Yang refocused on Pyrrha's eyes, this wasn't like any panic attack she saw, "Pyrrha!" she said louder than before. A second later Yang saw the green of Pyrrha's eyes. "What do you need?"
Pyrrha heard what Yang said, what she needs? Yes, what she needs, she doesn't need team RWBY now. She needs Jaune. Pyrrha nodded "Yes… yes… what… I need…" She said slowly. Pyrrha turned around and opened the door. After stepping out to the hallway she moved her hand to take out her scroll. But her hand was shaking too much. And she was slightly afraid that se would break her scroll if she held it now.
Ruby followed after Pyrrha with the rest of her team a step behind her. She saw Pyrrha stop in front of her dorm room and after a second of waiting Ruby could see Pyrrha not being able to take out her scroll. Ruby walked to the door and opened it with her scroll. Jaune's idea of sharing the door code already paying off.
A moment later Pyrrha rushed through the door.
Jaune was messing around on his scroll wondering what Pyrrha and team RWBY could be talking about when the door being flung open caught his attention. He looked up and saw the look on Pyrrha's face. Holy shit, the vision, did Pyrrha see something from it while talking to team RWBY. We're they talking about the vision?
A second later Jaune was out of bed and took a step towards Pyrrha and reached out his hand "Pyrrha?"
Pyrrha saw Jaune stand up and rushed to him, not even hearing him say her name or noticing team RWBY talking into her room after her. A few steps later she crashed into him and wrapped Jaune up in her arms. Nearly causing him to fall with how hard she ran into him.
Once Pyrrha could feel his arms wrap around her she tightened her arms around in and buried her face into his shoulder and neck.
Jaune tightened his hold of Pyrrha and could feel her start to nuzzle into his neck. He then looked up to team RWBY with a questioning look "What happened? Was it the vision?"
Yang took the scene in and felt kind of guilty. Was what they saw, what happened to Pyrrha, the reason she stayed so close to Jaune? Yang licked her lips and looked at her team. Blake was staying back, Weiss was standing just behind Ruby who was at her side and all of them were looking worried.
Yang looked at Jaune "We ended up talking about Cinder when…" Yang motioned to Pyrrha.
Jaune nodded "Right, Okay, everything is okay Pyrrha. We are all safe. All good." He brought one hand up and started to run his hand through Pyrrha's hair while his other hand rubbed up and down her back. Jaune tried to steady himself, Pyrrha needed him and going all nervous wreck would not help her.
Jaune lightly pulled Pyrrha along with him and sat down on his bed. Pulling Pyrrha into his lap. As Pyrrha settled into his lap and chest Jaune could feel a light blush growing. It was a new position they were in, Pyrrha was basically straddling him. Her chest was pressed against his, her legs were on the outside side of his, though after a moment Pyrrha wrapped them around his waist. Her arms wrapping around his back.
Jaune looked up to team RWBY while still rubbing Pyrrha's back and head. "When Pyrrha sees the fights I, we, go through in the future. The pain that Cinder causes... The pain that we go through… That I go through… It's why she slept in my bed and stayed close to me." Jaune rested his head against Pyrrha's head "We are all safe and good, all safe and happy." He said into her hair.
Yang blinked at seeing Pyrrha in Jaune's lap, in any other situation they would look like lovers. Like Pyrrha kissing Jaune. But seeing what Pyrrha was going through, it left Yang feeling like she should be helping Pyrrha somehow. Before Yang could do anything, she saw Ruby rush to Jaune.
Ruby was taking in the scene, seeing Pyrrha affected so much because of the vision she had. The future was really that terrible? It made Ruby want to help, but she didn't know how. A moment later Ruby moved trusting her gut.
Ruby saw down beside Jaune and moved as close to Pyrrha's leg as she could. Ruby then placed one hand on Pyrrha's shoulder and looked at Jaune who gave her a light smile. That made Ruby feel a bit better. But not enough to ease the guilt of causing this.
Weiss nodded to herself and moved to sit on the other side of Jaune, she copied Ruby and placed a hand on Pyrrha's other shoulder. Weiss never really believed that Pyrrha's vision could have had such a psychological impact on Pyrrha. But seeing it… she didn't really know what to do. Soft and caring weren't her things.
Yang smiled at Ruby and Weiss, she looked over at Blake who pulled up a chair and sat down just far enough from Pyrrha as not to crowd her. Yang shook her head and copied Blake, pulling out a chair and sitting down. She then saw Jaune looking at them all confused.
Jaune looked around when Ruby and Weiss sat down beside him to help comfort Pyrrha. Blake and Yang sitting down confused him even more. "So, uh, you're staying?" he asked.
Ruby nodded at him "Of course. Until Pyrrha feels better. Our questions made her feel like this so…" She trailed off and moved closer leaning against Jaune's shoulder.
The rest of team RWBY nodded along. It just left wrong to leave Pyrrha like this. Even though it may have made Pyrrha feel better. Them not seeing her like this. It felt wrong to leave.
Jaune smiled at them and refocused on Pyrrha, rubbing her back and holding her closer.
Pyrrha felt herself breath easier and lose much of the tension in her body. Jaune was so warm and comfortable and firm. She could still feel the attention of the girls on her, but Jaune rubbing her back was distracting her.
A while later Pyrrha felt back to normal, at least her current normal, and sighed into Jaune's neck. She felt him hug her closer at the sigh. Pyrrha moved to turn herself around so that her back rested on Jaune's chest. Her movement caused Weiss and Ruby to scoot away from Jaune a bit.
As Pyrrha made herself comfortable she took in the room. All of the girls were still here. They were all talking quietly while she was cozying up to Jaune and Pyrrha could honestly say she paid them no attention. She did hear Jaune talking with Ruby and Blake about the Huntsman and later with Weiss and Ruby about the midterms.
Yang smiled at Pyrrha who looked like she was back, some traces of pain still on her face, now that Yang knew what to look for. Yang decided to bite the bullet "So, anyone up for any last-minute studying?" she asked and sighed heavily afterwards.
Yang saw Pyrrha's smile at her, Jaune and Ruby chuckle and Weiss along with Blake sigh. It was a distraction, everyone knew, but Yang could feel the mood in the room get better, so she was pleased it was received well. Distractions were difficult things to pull off.
Weiss nodded "Best idea you had in a while" and moved to grab the Grimm studies and history textbooks that were on the table. A quick walk later she sat down "A question and answer session sound good?"
The rest of the room nodded or answered yes and Weiss started asking questions.
A few questions later Nora and Ren walked into the room after their late breakfast. They both blinked at the sight that greeted them. Nora went to open her mouth before she saw the look on Pyrrha's face and felt a lingering heaviness in the air. She shut her mouth and smiled "Oh, extra studying, Weiss studying. Count me in." She then bounced over to her bed and sat down.
Ren smiled and nodded at everyone in the room. He felt the same heaviness in the air, saw the looks and was a bit disappointed that he and Nora weren't here to help. So, he picked up his notebook and sat down beside Nora to join in some studying.
- Scene Break -
After a morning of studying and a late lunch the rest of the day went by slowly with some more studying followed by a long dinner where a overly lively discussion happened between Nora and Weiss about Port's exam. The rest joining in and Yang made a point to throw more dust on the fire.
An early night followed so that they could all get enough sleep for their early morning midterm. An exam made worse because it was history and if Oobleck's tests were long, his exams were probably novel length.
Pyrrha made herself comfortable in Jaune's arms, not even having to ask if she could sleep with him, they just naturally got into bed together. Pyrrha was slightly uncomfortable that she showed her panicky state to team RWBY. Being like that in front of Jaune was one thing, but team RWBY… it turned out good enough. No uncomfortable questions and them accepting the situation pretty quickly.
Unfortunately for Pyrrha she didn't feel comfort or warmth from team RWBY, maybe from Ruby… but there were too many conflicting emotions tied to the girls. Pyrrha was just glad that she got back to her new normal relatively quickly.
As Pyrrha snuggled deeper into Jaune's warm chest she sighed and thought about how well she should do on the midterms. There was always the chance that they were vastly different from what she remembered, so she didn't offer any hints during studying and kept a very open mind to possible questions.
Pyrrha hoped that the midterms were simple enough. That no extra stress came from them.
As Pyrrha fell asleep Jaune smiled into her hair. The familiar warmth of Pyrrha's body, the softness and firmness, Jaune didn't know how he slept without her. He could feel his building worries about the midterms leaving, replaced by the sense of security and comfort that Pyrrha always gave him.
Jaune wanted to do well on the midterms, he wanted to show Pyrrha that all her effort to help him wasn't wasted. That all the effort Weiss and Blake and Ren put into helping him study wasn't wasted. Jaune knew that he wasn't a good student, not terrible, just kind of behind everyone because he didn't go to a hunter school. But he would do the best he could.
Nora and Ren were after a lot of finagling by Nora cozied up in Ren's bed. Nora attached herself to Ren's chest and was probably not letting go until morning. Nora was very happy as she drifted off to sleep. She felt more than prepared for the midterms, she finally got Ren to agree to let her sleep with him and there was going to be team training and movie nights. What more could a girl ask for.
Ren fell asleep very warm and a little short on breath, Nora snuggling into him was an intense feeling like most things Nora did. Ren was feeling quite content, everyone studied, including Nora, who was smart, just not really able to concentrate on studying. And he could feel everyone was getting closer to each other, which would make the rest of the year better.
In the room across the hallway Ruby was slowly falling asleep, it was an intense day, the truth about Raven, the warning about Cinder. Not things that Ruby would have guessed to be part of her Beacon experience. And seeing Pyrrha like that… A good point was that she felt more than ready for the midterms and that everyone was getting closer. Ruby just hoped that the worst would not come to pass. And she hoped that Jaune's thing would stop popping up in her head.
Yang was tossing and turning a bit, trying to get comfortable, entertaining the idea of having Ruby sleep with her, they haven't done that in a while. Or maybe asking Blake, just to see the look on her face. Or hell, even Jaune to see what Pyrrha would do. Yang smiled at that thought.
It was a long day for her, a tough day for Yang and she felt done for today, but couldn't fall asleep. Raven, Cinder, Pyrrha and training stayed in her thoughts, along with momentary images of Jaune's dick which caused her to shake her head. Yang sighed and cozied into her pillow trying to clear her mind. A early morning midterm waited for her so she needed some sleep.
Blake was falling asleep pretty quickly, Yang's movement below her a bit of a distraction, but she was very tired. It was a long day and Blake still felt bad for not tell her team about her being a Faunus and that she was part of the Fang. Blake was confident that the midterms wouldn't be a problem, the problem was their future… Blake could only imagine the upcoming training. Though imagining Adam's reaction to Jaune's dick did take her mind off everything else.
Weiss sighed as she turned over again, Pyrrha's words were weighing heavily on her mind. The idea that they will have to face Cinder, who will kill Pyrrha in less than half a year was crazy. And impossible. Weiss did not know how they could train enough to surpass a version of Pyrrha with a full school year of training. She was also trying to deal with the constantly popping up images of Jaune and Pyrrha…
- Scene Break -
Morning came and both teams ate a quick breakfast and made their way to Oobleck's class for a early morning history midterm. Ruby, Jaune, Yang and Nora all sighed when they saw the test booklet sitting on their desks. It was as long as they feared. Ruby really doubted that she would be able to finish it in time. Three hours later found them meeting up in a common room to relax the 30 minutes before Port's thankfully shorter midterm.
Weiss, Pyrrha and Blake finished Oobleck's midterm relatively quickly. Ren finished shortly after with Ruby, Yang, Nora and Jaune all finishing close to each other a few minutes before the time was up.
Weiss being the first one done from the whole first year felt very confident. Pyrrha was happy with her test, the questions were different than what she remembered so she was very glad that she studied for the midterm. Ruby and Yang were just happy to be done the midterm. A feeling Jaune shared, he thought that he did well, but the results would show. Nora was complaining about the multiple essay sections that she almost had no time to do. Ren was also fairly confident he did well.
Port's Grimm knowledge midterm was a lot shorter and most of the class finished in the first hour with Weiss finishing first again. The questions were as random as everyone expected with questions about Port's own exploits sprinkled in with the normal questions.
On their way to lunch Jaune, Ruby, Yang and Nora laughed about a few of the questions while Weiss, Blake and Pyrrha complained about the Port specific question which they had no idea what to write down as an answer. So, they made stuff up.
After lunch was Peach's health class followed by math which went as well as it could for both teams. Luckily there were no strange questions and the tests weren't too long. So even Ruby who was the worst of the teams in health class was happy with her midterm.
After dinner they all reviewed for the written part of Goodwitch's physical test and got an early night to be ready for it. The physical was a full day midterm which the whole first year had to take part in. It consisted of three parts, a written test, a course that needed to be completed and sparring versus the training bot set at a certain level.
Thankfully the midterm started later in the morning so after a long breakfast were Pyrrha was going over the notes one last time with Jaune as the rest of the table listened in. They made their way to the classroom for the written portion. And hour and a half later they finished with Jaune, Ruby and Pyrrha going over what they answered for which question. Weiss, Nora and Yang jumped in for certain questions.
Part two of the physical was outside so after changing they all made their way to a field were Goodwitch was waiting for the class. The field now had an obstacle course, which Pyrrha knew wasn't done last time. As Goodwitch explained that the course was courtesy of Port and Ozpin the class got ready for it. They all had to run at least three runs of the course to get an average time and thankfully falls did not require a restart.
The course wasn't too bad for either team RWBY or team JNPR with Jaune having some issues with the course, with the crawling under wire section, rope swing and balance beam being the hardest for him. He finished near the middle of the class and the rest coming in around the top. Pyrrha, Blake and Yang aced it while Ruby, Weiss and Nora had a couple difficulties due to height. Ren finished just outside the top positions with his result in the middle of the girls'.
Jaune was very happy with his result and Pyrrha wrapped him up in her arms and spun him around when he finished. Which got a bit of a laugh out of their team and team RWBY. Pyrrha was proud that Jaune improved that much. Jaune hugged an expecting Pyrrha when she finished and hugged a very happy Ruby who bounced over to him. Yang threw her arms around his shoulder to congratulate him and he copied her when she smirked at him when she finished her run.
The obstacle course took the rest of the morning and into early afternoon so there was a lunch break and during the waiting Weiss had them reviewing for tomorrow's dust class midterm.
Once part two of the physical midterm was done, they all took a shower. Yang making a point in whistling whenever she saw Pyrrha undressed in the changing room with them. It made Pyrrha roll her eyes, but smile at Yang. Weiss and Ruby sighed heavily at Yang while Blake still compared Pyrrha and Yang. They had weirdly similar bodies.
Part three was in the larger training room and started once Goodwitch and Port walked into the room. The results were as expected with Pyrrha finishing in first, scoring the most points and ending the fight quickly. Pyrrha held back a bit as to not destroy the bot.
Yang finished in second place losing points due to destroying the bot, Weiss followed in third scoring well, Ruby finished fourth just ahead of Blake, Ren and Nora who rounded up the top seven. Each lost some points due to moves they didn't do. The expected attacks that everyone had to do based on their fighting style. And Nora like Yang lost points for destroying the bot.
Jaune ended in the bottom middle, a far better result than what he had at the beginning of the year. He missed several expected attacks and didn't have the best footwork. So, he lost points for that. Jaune was still happy with his result and got a round of massive hugs from Pyrrha, Ruby and Nora when he finished. Yang threw an arm around his neck and smirked at Pyrrha, letting go only when Pyrrha glared at her.
The bot fighting part of the physical lasted a couple hours due to each fight having a time limit. During the fights Pyrrha constantly told Jaune what their classmates were doing, what the moves were, how the footwork worked and how to defend against each attack. Nora, Ren, Ruby, Yang, Blake and Weiss all listened in and asked questions about certain moves or attacks. Pyrrha smiled at their participation.
Following long showers and a long dinner Weiss insisted that everyone review for the dust midterm again. Jaune and Ruby did some review for the leadership class and everyone had another early night.
Jaune smiled into Pyrrha's hair as she snuggled deeper into his neck, her boobs squished against his chest. She was holding him extra tight, wrapping her legs around his. She was so happy for him. Jaune blushed just thinking about how she rubbed her cheek against his while saying how great he did. He was happy that for a third night she just got into bed with him, no questions or looks.
He was also happy that apart from a few tense looks Pyrrha seemed not affected by her vision so far during the midterms. Jaune tighten his hold of Pyrrha and rubbed his cheek into her hair.
Pyrrha was really enjoying herself so far this week. The midterms were going as well as expected and Jaune did so well on the physical tests. Plus, she was sure that Jaune liked sleeping with her, she didn't even need to ask to sleep with him. They just naturally got into bed together. She did feel a bit bad for Nora who got only one night of cuddling Ren over the week and starred longingly at them and at Ren.
Wednesday was another early morning with both teams just having enough time for a quick lunch before running to the dust classroom. The exam was long at three hours and intense, Jaune was not sure if he did well or not. Walking to the common room he talked over his answers with Pyrrha, Ruby, Yang and Blake as Nora pulled Ren ahead. Weiss interjected at times. It did make Jaune feel better as it sounded like he got more answers correct than he thought.
A quick review session later saw Jaune and Ruby go to their leadership class midterm while the rest of the teams reviewed for the language class in the afternoon. Pyrrha did stay close to Nora and Ren as she began to feel a slowly building anxiety with Jaune gone and her thoughts slowly turning darker. Her largest worry was how different these midterms were from what she remembered.
Pyrrha could not come to any conclusion as to why they were different. Talking with Nora did help in letting her keep the worst from happening. Yang helped as well, with Yang smirking at her and asking her all sorts of questions about sleeping with Jaune.
A while after Jaune and Ruby left Yang turned to Pyrrha and smirked "So how is sleeping next to Jaune?"
Pyrrha smiled widely at Yang "It's great, Jaune is so comfy and warm. I never thought that it would be so good." Pyrrha would gladly talk about how great sleeping with Jaune was. If only she could sleep with Jaune also.
Yang blinked at Pyrrha's wide smile and happy eyes. Okay… Yang was not expecting Pyrrha to be so positive and not blush or stutter at all. "I don't know if all of him is so comfortable, what he has looked hard… very hard." Yang ended with a wink.
Weiss sighed deeply and tried her best to tune Yang out. Though she was still listening with one ear. Blake shook her head and went back to reading her book, though also listening in, this was all too similar to one of her books. Ren was looking between Yang and Pyrrha confused, did Yang see Pyrrha and Jaune in bed together… when? Nora was confused as well, what was hard about Jaune? And how did Yang know they slept in the same bed? And why didn't Ren what to do that every night as well?
Pyrrha smirked back at Yang "Oh, well it is very hard, isn't it? But it is so warm and you get used to it. Though it is a bit big so it can be in the way. It just needs to be moved to the right place." Pyrrha ended with a bolt of heat running through her just remembering how good Jaune's… dick… felt, made her feel.
Yang felt her jaw drop to the floor, out of the corner of her eye she saw Weiss copy her and blush terribly. Blake hid her face in her book and Nora and Ren looked at all of them confused. Yang cleared her throat "So… yeah… good to know… have you, you know, gone all the way?" She had to know.
Weiss felt her blush get even worse; she could not believe that Yang asked that. She could not believe that she wanted to know. And that she felt a bit disgruntled if it was true… Weiss tried to focus on her notes, but couldn't help looking up.
Blake buried her face in her book, she felt her ears twitching under the fabric. Blake wanted to know. The now familiar urge to write it down took hold of her.
Pyrrha blinked when she heard the question, was Yang really asking that… Pyrrha lost a bit of her smile and shook her head "No." Pyrrha answered in a monotone voice.
Yang nodded, letting out a breath. Not knowing why, she felt a bit sad for Pyrrha and a bit relieved. Yang decided to back off from those types of questions and focus on what the best sleeping positions were or of Jaune ever touched anything.
Weiss also let out a breath, she felt her blush going away and was also strangely relieved that Jaune and Pyrrha didn't have sex. Weiss would need to ponder on why that was.
Blake was disappointed, it was like whatever was building between Pyrrha and Jaune didn't pay off yet.
Nora and Ren were even more confused.
Pyrrha felt her smile grow back and answered Yang's questions.
A little while later Jaune and Ruby returned and they all made their way to the cafeteria for lunch. Pyrrha lunged at Jaune and wrapped her arms around him as soon as he walked into the room causing Ruby to grumble.
After a quick lunch they made their way to the language classroom with Pyrrha not letting go of Jaune. Ruby stuck by his other side to continue their conversation about the just confirmed Huntress movie. The Huntress was a lesser-known comic, but Ruby really like one series of it. Which supposedly the movie will be based on. And there were rumors of a with both of them in it.
The language midterm was long as well, taking nearly three hours due to the essay questions. But everyone on both teams was pretty happy with how it went. Talking about it while they made their way to a common room.
Tomorrow would be the worst day for Jaune, the combat class midterm. Jaune was not looking forward to it. As both teams walked into the common room Pyrrha pulled out her notes and began the review for the class. For both the small written test and the spars.
The review lasted most of the evening and after dinner moved to a training room that Pyrrha reserved. Pyrrha went through how everyone else in the class fought and had Jaune practice spar against herself and everyone else. Team RWBY lightly sparred against each other.
A shower and early night followed with a late morning, which allowed everyone to have a full breakfast and not feel heavy during the spars.
The written test was first and took only an hour of so to do for everyone. After which they all made their way to the combat classroom. Pyrrha rubbed Jaune's back the whole way trying to encourage him. Jaune was trying to psych himself up as well. Pyrrha's encouragement went a long way for Jaune in making himself feel ready.
The combat midterm was a bit more involved than what Pyrrha remembered, everyone would have three matches and your grade would be based on the two best matches with the worst being eliminated. That made the class happy as everyone had a screw up round.
The matches went pretty much as expected, with Pyrrha dominating her opponents. She fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how someone looked at it didn't have anyone from team RWBY as her opponent.
Yang and Nora followed Pyrrha's lead and handily won their matches until they fought each other in both of their third round. Their match ended with Yang just managing a win. Yang's semblance making that happen.
Ruby had some very back luck, having to fight Blake, who she just lost to after a very mobile and acrobatic match. Ruby also had to fight Jaune who she won against with some difficulty, Jaune's shield was very annoying, but once she got past his defense, she managed to beat him quickly enough. Her third match was very quick.
Blake just managed a win against Ruby in her first match and won her second one against Dove very easily. Her third match against Neil's partner, a girl named Ami was a bit harder with her opponent being quick on her feet as well. Plus, Ami had a small shield which was just big enough to deflect strikes.
Ren had pretty good luck in his opponents with his strongest being Cardin. After a bit of work getting past Cardin's weapon and armor Ren won. His second and third opponents were dealt with quickly as well.
Jaune had some bad luck having to fight Ruby in his second round. He lost his first round after most of the time was gone and managed to run out the clock on his third round. So Jaune was relatively happy about his performance. His shield saving his ass many times.
The combat midterm took the whole day with the people not fighting expected to take notes and analyze the matches. Like during the bot fights, Pyrrha informed Jaune about all the techniques and moves. The rest of their team and team RWBY joined in after a short while.
Pyrrha was proud of Jaune and wrapped him up in a massive hug after each match. He was so much better now than he was, even managing to hold back Ruby for a moment. Pyrrha knew that he would need to create his own fighting style and not just rely on his stamina and aura. It was what she would be focusing on for the next 2 months.
The now expected hugs were shared and Jaune was a bit confused about why Ruby and Yang wanted the hugs. Jaune was slightly happy that Nora didn't glomp onto him with a hug. He wasn't sure if his back would survive that.
After the midterm ended and a shower was had they made their way to the cafeteria to grab dinner and then went back to their rooms. Friday would be the easiest day with only elective midterms and Oobleck's general science class midterm after lunch.
After a couple hours reviewing for the midterms everyone turned in for a early night. Jaune and Pyrrha snuggled together with Pyrrha laying onto of Jaune this time. Nora vowed to get Ren to let her snuggle with him during the weekend.
Across the hallway team RWBY was falling asleep quickly, all tired from today. Ruby was experiencing her now expected images of Jaune's thing and curiosity of how sleeping beside him would feel. Yang like sister was wondering how true Pyrrha's boasting about sleeping cozied up to Jaune was. Yang knew that Pyrrha had a big blind spot when Jaune was involved.
Blake fell asleep almost as soon as her head touched the pillow, staying up late to reread a certain book and take down notes during the week did impact her sleep schedule a bit.
Weiss was happy that the midterms were going so well, she even had to concede that Ruby and Jaune were doing well. A very good thing, if it continued.
Friday was thankfully a late morning so everyone could sleep in and have an enjoyable breakfast. After which everyone made their way to their first elective class and then their second. Afterwards everyone joined up for a late lunch.
After a lively lunch where Jaune, Ruby and oddly enough Blake had a spirited discussion about the plot of a possible Huntsman and Huntress movie everyone made their way to the general science classroom.
The science midterm was another Oobleck test, meaning it was very long. Three hours of the most complete science test ever made later found both teams walking to a common room. The midterm was rough and Ruby along with Jaune and Nora were pretty sure they bombed it. Yang wasn't in a much better place so the four of them were grilling Weiss and Pyrrha with questions.
After they made it to the common room a discussion started about what to do for their free Friday evening and night. Also, what to do for their free weekend.
- Scene Break -
In the somewhere above the fade red hair and green eyes watched the strands of possibilities merge together, blink out of existence and spawn new threads. One line of possibilities was what she was focusing on, the line that it looked like Pyrrha was taking.
It wouldn't be an easy task, the strands and threads that made up the possibilities were ever multiplying and merging. Though the collapse of some of the possibilities made the red hair and green eyes pleased.
And a lot of the threads and strands and strings lead down to interesting places, the red hair and green eyes wondered how Pyrrha would handle some of those interesting places. Would she like them?
One possibility down the strand caught the attention of the red hair and green eyes. A possible better future, but to get to it… It would be a great show.
Chapter Five End
Hope everyone liked chapter 5, it changed multiple times during review. To a bit more serious discussion about Cinder, a bit of wrap up for Raven for now, some reactions and the summarized midterm week.
The next chapter will be the break week after midterms, when team RWBY runs into two friends. Some larger changes will start happening afterwards.
The Huntsman movie chapter will be in a couple chapters, if anyone is waiting for that… no one… yeah we guessed that.
Just a continued reminder, this will not be the "Prime" timeline, we are changing when some events happen, as the timeline of show is not clear.
See everyone in the next chapter.
