Welcome everyone to chapter six. We would like to say thank you to everyone who took the time to read some random account's story and especially to the ones who reviewed or favorited it.
This chapter will start the week break which we changed a lot, shopping happens, we learn some more about Pyrrha's family and Jaune has a talk.
It is a filler type chapter, some important to the future things happen and are started in this chapter, but not much action or even fluff.
Anyways, welcome to our story, we hope you like it.
Of course, we do not own RWBY and we won't make even a nickel from this story, it's all for fun, playing in RoosterTeeth's sandbox.
Onwards to A Second Chance.

Chapter Six – A Talk, Some Shopping and Break Week Starts
As both teams sat in the common room, ideas for what to do for their first free Friday in a few weeks were being thrown around.
"No seriously, we all need to relax and blow of some steam, so a night out IS a good idea." Yang argued with Weiss "And as for Rubes, I will let her come along this one time only." Yang turned to look at Ruby.
Ruby gave Yang a weak smile, a night of dancing wasn't exactly her cup of milk. She wasn't a dancer. And really didn't want to dance with strangers. Ruby glanced at Jaune, who was sitting squished against Pyrrha in a comfy lounge chair. The chair was in no way big enough for the two of them. Yeah, the one guy she may be okay dancing with, probably would be taken by Pyrrha.
Ruby turned and looked at her sister, still arguing with Weiss. Blake was staying out of the argument, reading something on her scroll. Nora was with Yang on the night out idea, trying to convince Ren. Pyrrha was looking not at all interested in dancing in some club. Jaune stayed quiet looking at Pyrrha's uneasy expression.
"Yeah, I'm with Weiss on this, I don't really want to go out to some club somewhere… and dance." Ruby said to Yang, seeing Weiss smile at her and Yang frown.
Yang sighed looking around the room, seeing only Nora on her side "Ugh, fine, no club, you guys are no fun." Yang looked at Ruby who was looking happier now that dancing was off the table. "Then, what do we do? Go out and eat? Movie? Hunt some Grimm?" Yang ended with a wide smile.
Weiss scoffed while Nora looked excited. Ruby looked like she was thinking it over. Blake was still reading something on her scroll. Pyrrha shook her head. Ren was getting ready to clam Nora down.
"I don't think that they would let us hunt Grimm this late. And I don't think going out would be the best idea with me…" Pyrrha paused for a moment and ducked her head down. "Chances are someone will recognize me and start a fuss." Pyrrha felt Jaune wrap an arm around her shoulders at that.
Jaune sighed as he wrapped an arm around Pyrrha's shoulders and tried to comfort her a bit. He was pretty okay with going out and dancing, but aside from Yang and Nora no one else looked to be up for it. And yeah, going out for anything always brought up the chance that Pyrrha would be recognized and mobbed.
But that could be overcome if they went to the right place, like somewhere were Pyrrha normally wouldn't show her face or where people would most likely not recognize her. "Um, what about the arcade or bowling or maybe if we don't go out then cards or Remnant or…" Jaune was cut off.
"NO" Nora said remembering the last time they played, it was such a hopeless and depressing game for them. Any action they had or tried always failed. Nora really tried to forget that evening.
"NOPE" Ruby joined Nora in cutting Jaune off, she shuttered just remembering the one game she played against him. She didn't know a game could make her feel so lost. And she was actually pretty good at the game.
"Yeah, NO" Yang said alongside the rest, she was part of that game, with Jaune, Nora, Ruby and Pyrrha. Yang knew she wasn't the best at Remnant, but with how many times she played it with Ruby, she was pretty good. Jaune just destroyed her…
Pyrrha shook her head and rested her hand on Jaune's thigh, squeezing it gently "I would have to agree, Remnant might not be the best game to relax with." Pyrrha didn't have very clear memories of the games of Remnant she played with Jaune, but the underlying feelings were there. Stress, hopelessness, freaking out, loss.
Jaune sighed, were their losses against him that bad? "Okay, fine no Remnant, any other ideas?" he asked as he looked around the room and placed a hand on Pyrrha's. Jaune squeezed it gently thanking Pyrrha for the support.
Ruby and to everyone's surprise Blake responded before Nora, Yang or Weiss could jump in. "Well…" Ruby said at the same time that Blake said "We could…"
Ruby looked at Blake "Go ahead Blake." She said with a smile. Blake spoke up about a social thing, that's a good thing, right? Or at least according to what Yang always told her. Though Ruby did like that Blake was quiet and wasn't very social herself…
Blake nodded and noticed all eyes on her. Ugh, why did she open her mouth. She was hanging out with Yang and Weiss too much, neither could keep their mouth shut and had to express their opinion. Ruby was a lot better, but that was mostly because she was shy.
"Well, we watched some episodes of the Huntsman to get ready for the movie, so we could watch a few episodes of the Huntress to get ready for the new Huntress movie." Blake suggested with a slightly more interested tone than everyone else was used to.
Blake did actually like the old Huntress cartoon, as cheesy and cringey as it was at times. It was already an old cartoon when she started watching it when she was young. The show was upbeat and happy and strangely for a show from its time had a couple Faunus characters as major good guys. It was a very good distraction from her life of protests and later White Fang involvement.
Plus, Adam hated the show so much, so she always watched it when she was mad at Adam. It kept him away.
Everyone in the room looked at each other, it was the first time that Blake made any sort of request on what to do. It felt like a major event just happened.
Pyrrha smiled at Blake's suggestion, it looked like she was coming out of her shell faster. That was good, the sooner Blake came to trust them, her team at least, the better. The more Pyrrha could change certain White Fang related events that were coming up.
Yang smiled widely, very happy that Blake spoke up and made a suggestion. It was a very good step in Blake being more comfortable around them. Yang not wanting anyone to say anything against Blake's very first suggestion stood up and walked over to Blake.
Yang looked down at Blake still smiling "Sure, sounds like a good idea, we can go to one of the dorms and watch the show. Anyone have anything against that?"
Blake saw everyone either smile or shrug at each other and stand up.
"Nah, sounds like a good idea, I never saw that show." Nora said as she smiled widely and walked to the common room door "So, what room we using?"
Ruby looked over to Jaune "Your room okay Jaune, we already used it for watching shows."
Jaune nodded at Ruby "Yeah, no problems. I haven't seen any episode of Huntress in years. Though I did read a few of the new comics."
Ruby smiled and came to stand on one side of Jaune, with Pyrrha on the other. Pyrrha was very surprisingly to Ruby, not linking arms with Jaune or wrapping Jaune up in her arms. She was just standing there beside him. Huh…
"So, you ever watch the Huntress Pyrrha?" Ruby asked as everyone had their way out of the common room and to the dorm room. Ruby saw Weiss and Yang walking beside Blake who was explaining a bit about the show. Nora and Ren were walking in front of her, Nora guessing what the show could be about.
Pyrrha shook her head "Unfortunately no, never had too much time to watch TV." Once Pyrrha finished she felt Jaune put a hand on her shoulder.
"Oh, you poor child, we will have to fix that, right Ruby?" Jaune said acting very sad at the actually sad tale of Pyrrha not watching cartoons, staples of childhood experience, growing up. Jaune knew that Pyrrha had a very focused childhood, always training, but no cartoons…
Ruby smiled at Jaune "Yup, no worries Pyrrha, we will show you everything you missed." Ruby turned to smile at Pyrrha.
As everyone talked, they made their way to team JNRP's dorm room and walked in. After a few minutes tasks were assigned by a happy Ruby and a sighing Weiss, with Jaune and Pyrrha smiling in the corner of the room.
Team RWBY walked into their room to change into more comfortable clothes and afterwards Yang picked up the projector and went over to team JNRP's room while Ruby walked to the common room to get popcorn and Weiss made her way to the cafeteria to get drinks.
In team JNRP's room much the same thing happened with everyone changing into more comfortable clothes and then going to do their assigned tasks. Nora met up with Ruby to get more snacks and raid the common room fridge. Ren met up with Weiss to get drinks and some more healthy snacks.
Jaune and Pyrrha let Yang and Blake into the room to set up. After a minute the beds were moved and the projector was set up. Blake then connected her scroll to the projector and the four of them made themselves comfortable.
Yang turned to Blake and Jaune "So, is this Huntress show better or worse than the Huntsman show?"
Jaune and Blake looked at each other, after a second Jaune turned to look at Yang "Umm, it's different… the Huntress is an older cartoon, we watched the Huntsman remake, so… it's more colorful, not as serious and… more kid friendly…" Jaune looked at Blake again with a questioning look on his face.
Blake nodded "Yeah, it's more kid friendly, but it's more enjoyable... and fun than the new Huntsman." Blake saw the small smile on Jaune's face and the wide smile on Yang's face. Blake sighed, she really should have kept her mouth shut. Now Yang will have that look on her face for the whole night.
As the four of them sat down and relaxed, talking a bit about the exams and the free "training week" after the midterms, the rest of their teammates made their way back. After a few minutes the snacks and drinks were set out and everyone made themselves comfortable. Blake took a moment to look at everyone and started the first episode.
A few episodes later Jaune was surprised how much he was enjoying himself, he forgot how funny the Huntress was. And how cringey at times, the writing was pretty much hit or miss. Jaune smiled and looked around the room at everyone.
Very thankfully for Jaune, no one was sitting in his lap, so he had many more reasons to relax than the last couple times with Ruby sitting there. Currently Ruby was laying on the edge of the bed, her legs resting on Yang's legs. Yang like the last few times was resting against his shoulder, Pyrrha was snuggled against his other side. Blake was resting on Yang's shoulder. The two of them talking quietly about the show.
Looking past Pyrrha, Weiss was laying down there and Nora was squeezed against Ren on her bed. Nora commenting to Ren about what was happening in the show.
Jaune looked back to the show, but he wasn't really paying much attention at the moment, his thoughts filled by oddly enough all the girls minus Nora. When the four of them were waiting, Pyrrha started talking with Yang and Blake about taking a day next week and doing a series of fights between her and team RWBY to check something. Jaune didn't know what that something was, which was a bit surprising as that meant Pyrrha wasn't telling him something.
And Jaune didn't know how to feel about that. Pyrrha wasn't under any obligation to tell him anything, but he got used to her sharing almost everything with him. Now it seemed like she and team RWBY had a couple secrets. Which was fine, good even, it meant that Pyrrha got closer to them. Something Jaune wasn't 100% sure would happen.
But what could Pyrrha be checking… and what could be the secret…
The girls were acting a bit differently around him during the week. Ruby would blush for some reason and looked him up and down, which she never did before. Yang was smirking at him and Pyrrha more often with a weirdly smug look on her face. Weiss was yelling at him less though muttering more, but keeping her distance oddly enough. And Blake like Ruby was looking at him more, it felt like she was evaluating him.
Jaune really wanted to know what happened to create that change in their behavior.
Jaune's thoughts about Pyrrha focused on her maybe improving state of mind, she didn't have any nightmare over the week and seemed to be in a better mood. She was even holding onto him less, which was both a good thing and a bad thing. Jaune to his great shame very quickly got used to Pyrrha holding him and holding Pyrrha. The warmth and safety and softness.
If Pyrrha was getting better, would he be losing that closeness with Pyrrha? He wasn't sure if he would like that even thought it would be a good thing.
Jaune held back a sigh, he really needed to get his head back on right. The last week and a half just didn't give him much time to process everything. Pyrrha's vision, her changed behaviour because of the vision, the intense classes, the girl's changing behaviour, Yang never acted like that before, much less Blake or Weiss. So many things happening at the same time.
Jaune really hoped that the next week would be calmer.
As Jaune was lost in thought he felt more warmth, he looked down and saw that it was Pyrrha. She adjusted her position and snuggled into him even more. He really needed to find some quiet time over the next week and have a talk with Pyrrha. Maybe track Ruby down and talk with her as well.
Jaune nodded to himself on his next actions and focused back on the show, but not before seeing a wide smile on Blake's face… Huh… you don't see that everyday. It was a cute smile and for a cute reason. Who knew that Blake, stoic, antisocial Blake liked the Huntress? Not something that Jaune would have guessed in a million years. It was just too… cute for the Blake they knew…
Though he did feel sorry for what was going to happen to Blake. Jaune knew what that small smile on Yang's face meant. Yang would probably joke about it and tease Blake for the next month. Even more so that Blake's smile grew whenever the two Faunus characters helped the main character.
It you squinted and ignored the ears and body proportion differences; the Faunus girls did look like Blake and Yang. Yang's teasing would come from the fact that the two Faunus characters were a couple. In a few episodes they would even have their wedding which would be crashed by the evil Syndicate.
And Jaune had a strange feeling that if Yang ever did get married, she would actually like that kind of wedding. The kind that gets crashed by bad guys you have to fight.
Though Jaune could honestly admit that tiger ears would look good on Blake. They would fit her, weirdly. The fox ears would not fit Yang. Maybe lion or panther… maybe not, not many ears would fit Yang's wild hair. Wolf maybe…
Jaune shook his head, taking him out of his weird and possibly offensive line of thinking. Was it offensive to imagine humans as faunus? Hmm… probably…
Jaune refocused back on the show, they still had a couple hours until midnight so they could maybe even finish the season.
Yang smiled widely at Blake's obvious enjoyment of the show, she still couldn't wrap her head around why Blake like it so much, but who cared. Blake liked something that wasn't books and spoke up about it. Her little Blakey was growing up.
And so far, it was a fun relaxing evening, aside from a couple interruptions by Weiss and Nora to explain parts of the plot or characters. Yang was enjoying herself; the show was fun and distracting and even Weiss was being drawn into it.
Yang relaxed more into Jaune and felt Blake cozy up to her more as she repositioned herself. Yang did wonder why they all flopped down together on two beds, even Weiss was pretty close to resting against Pyrrha. Ruby suggested it and since then it just felt… right…
Yang did make an effort not to think about Jaune and Pyrrha in this bed together, and what Jaune had under his sweatpants. She knew that the only reason why Ruby was not sitting in Jaune's lap was because of Ruby remembering what they saw. That blush that Ruby had was adorable, and bonus for Yang, she no longer felt the need to punch Jaune whenever Ruby blushed at him.
Yang did wonder if Pyrrha told Jaune about that morning and what they saw. She also wondered if Jaune noticed their kind of odd behavior around him.
Movement and a sudden weight caught her attention and pulled her out of her thoughts. Ruby plopped down in her lap and smiled up at her when she looked down. Yang wrapped her arms around Ruby and squeezed her against her chest.
Ruby sputtered much to Yang's delight. Blake had to readjust her position again and grumbled to her as she did.
Yang smiled, yeah, weird nor not, this relaxing together was pretty good. She could not remember a time that she was warmer. She did wonder how Jaune would react if they all actually piled on top of him. What would Pyrrha do? Yang would have to try it sometime.
As Yang plotted embarrassing Jaune and Jaune relaxed, Pyrrha cozied up against Jaune and smiled.
It had been a good week, aside from Sunday when she had her… panic attack… and when she showed the girls Jaune's erection, which she felt kind of guilty about. It was a good week; exams went well and she had no more attacks… episodes… Pyrrha didn't know what to call them.
Pyrrha was a bit concerned that she wasn't feeling more guilty or bad about showing Jaune off to the girls, but compared to the concern she was feeling about the events coming up and what each of them would have to do… Yeah, Pyrrha knew that the vision, getting all her future memories and Jaune's and Cinder's feelings and connected memories changed her somewhat.
Unfortunately for Pyrrha and her good mood that thought sent her down a thought train that Pyrrha had been avoiding until now.
Pyrrha just didn't know she changed so much. She knew that a part of her, the stubborn, hurting, pain filled, and Cinder reinforcement part, only cared about changing her fate, Jaune's fate. Everything else was secondary and almost everything that she could do to change their fate would be fine by this part of her.
Pyrrha snuggled closer to Jaune and wrapped her arms around Jaune's arm. Pyrrha could feel that she was making peace with parts of her and with parts of the vision. But there were other parts she still wouldn't, couldn't touch. Parts that wanted her to kill off team RWBY, the Fang in Vale, even Ozpin, steal Jaune and live in a cabin in the woods. Parts of her that wanted to take the maiden's power and kill Cinder for the other half and use that power.
Parts of her that wanted to take Jaune for her own, never mind the consequences or even his opinion. Pyrrha held back a shudder at that thought, really not liking her new darker parts… instincts…
Pyrrha held in another shudder and nuzzled into Jaune's neck, taking in the warmth and comfort, pushing back against that darkness that sitting just below her feelings. She turned her head, resting it on Jaune shoulder and focused back on the show.
Pyrrha knew that she would have to somehow deal with those parts of her, which were making themselves known more often. She just didn't know how exactly… She would also have to have a talk with Jaune, a… difficult talk. Pyrrha really didn't want to do that.
Pyrrha held in a sigh and snuggled closer to Jaune, letting him and the show slowly take her mind off her worries and onto how great Jaune has been and how surprisingly good the Huntress was.
Nearing midnight Ruby was dozing off, snuggling into her sister, keeping one eye on the show. A couple hours ago everyone, minus Weiss and Ren who gave each other suffering looks, agreed to finish the season tonight as no one had any plans for tomorrow, so everyone could sleep in.
Ruby forgot how much she liked that show as a kid and was pretty thankful that Blake suggested it. Ruby still couldn't wrap her mind around the fact that Blake like the Huntress, but everyone has their own likes. Ruby smiled seeing Blake cozied up against Yang smiling from time to time.
Though that was another thing that Ruby was kind of confused about, but really was enjoying. She didn't know why, but ever since they started watching the Huntsman, they all cozied up together. At first, she thought that it was because of Pyrrha's vision and what will happen to all of them.
But now, Ruby felt that everyone did it because cozying up together was warm and comfortable and felt… right… She wasn't sure why, but it was like them being together fill some forgotten need.
Ruby snuggled more into her very warm sister, the last time she sat in her sister's lap like this… must have been years ago, and relaxed. Enjoying the comfort that her sister gave her and feeling the stress of the midterms leave her.
Though her new position did show her Jaune, who's side Yang was relaxing against, and Ruby felt a bit of a blush form on her face. The memory of Jaune in bed a week ago popped up in her head. Ruby knew that she acted a little off during the week and that Jaune did notice her at times weirdness.
She guessed that Pyrrha didn't tell Jaune anything about that morning and that she showed him off to all of team RWBY. Ruby wondered if she should say anything to Jaune or if Pyrrha had some kind of plan for that. Or if Pyrrha just didn't want to tell Jaune anything.
Though Ruby knew that she should really try and accept or get past what she saw then, but every time she looked at Jaune's waist over the week she remembered how big it was and couldn't look at it. Thankfully she didn't freak out, but she did focus on his face far more than she normally did.
Which also brought the issues that Jaune's eyes were a lot bluer than she thought.
Ruby held in a sigh and focused back onto the show, lucky cartoon characters having no issues…
During the next couple episodes Pyrrha and team RWBY made rough plans to have their sparring matches on Monday or Wednesday. Weiss argued with Yang that they needed some time to create some plan or strategy or they would all lose again.
Nora really wanted to join in the sparring and with a great sigh Ren admitted that it would just be easier to have her join in. Pyrrha wasn't 100% sure fighting Nora would be a good idea as the spars were supposed to be able how well the girls would fair against Cinder, but…
Pyrrha accepted and Nora smiled widely at her, which did bring up the fact that she hasn't told Nora all the details about Cinder yet, or Ren. Pyrrha would have to find some time to tell them.
Plans were made and everyone returned their attention to the show, where the wedding was happening and the evil Syndicate was starting to make their move.
- Scene Break -
A little before 1 am was when they finally finished the season and they called it a night, the girls of team RWBY left and team JNRP got ready for bed. Pyrrha smiled as she snuggled against Jaune, she did briefly wonder how much longer she could keep sleep cozied up to Jaune.
But that was a depressing thought for later. As Pyrrha relaxed into Jaune and wrapped her arms around his warm chest she smiled into the crook of his neck. She felt him wrap an arm around her back and start to mindlessly play with her hair.
Based on the expression on his face, Jaune was a million miles away, Pyrrha moved her head slightly and asked "Lien for your thoughts?"
Jaune relaxed into his pillow as Pyrrha made herself comfortable, he was still caught off guard whenever Pyrrha let her hair down. His hand unconsciously moving to play with some of her hair. Her question pulled in from a series of thoughts and a couple worries.
Jaune turned his head towards Pyrrha and felt her hair against his cheek, it was so silky and soft. "Hmm?" he responded.
Pyrrha smiled at his response and at the rumble in his chest that it caused. "You seem deep in thought." She said softly.
"Yeah, just some late night thoughts, wondering if I did okay in the midterms. Wondering about the training during the week…" Jaune replied, trailing off before saying his actual worries.
Pyrrha saw the tightening of Jaune's face "I'm sure you did great on the midterms and the training week will be useful. Though I'm guessing that's not all that's bothering you?"
Jaune sighed and wondered when Pyrrha got so good at reading him "I… you got me… I just feel like I'm missing what happened between you and the girls, why Yang and Weiss are treating your upcoming sparring like it was something very important."
Pyrrha squeezed Jaune in her arms and said even softer "I told them some details about Cinder and my fight with her, told them that if they couldn't beat me, even as a team, then they would have no chance against Cinder." She paused to see Jaune's expression.
Jaune nodded, understanding why "Ahh, that would explain it. Just out of curiosity what else did you tell them?" He asked looking away a bit, feeling bad about digging, but having to ask.
"Not much else, I told you more about her, oh what I told them that I didn't tell you yet is that Cinder is in Vale, working with Roman and that Ruby encountered her before Beacon started. When she fought Roman and the rest." Pyrrha said.
Jaune blinked, Ruby already encountered her… that's some pretty bad luck for her. "Right, thanks for telling me, I guess we, you, won't be going after her for now?"
Pyrrha nodded "We are not ready; we need to train a lot more before we will be ready. And make some changes, though I'm not sure if they would like it."
"Changes?" Jaune asked, curious about what Pyrrha was thinking.
"Yes, changes, fighting against Cinder will be a different, more deadly kind of fight. We need to be ready for it. So, while we need to train fighting together, we also need to change our combat outfits." Pyrrha was a bit embarrassed that she was included on that list with everyone else. Her outfit needed work.
"What's wrong with our outfits?" Jaune was pretty sure he knew where Pyrrha was going with this.
Pyrrha sighed and snuggled even closer to Jaune, wondering if he was thinking about what all the outfits showed. "They all have too many weak points, mine included. Most huntsmen outfits, tough as they are. Are more about fashion and showing off than actual real protection."
"Isn't that what aura is for?" Jaune asked.
"Yes, aura is our main protection, but like with your shield or Yang's gauntlets or my shield, extra protection is always useful. And not having obvious weak spots. Though any new armour would need to be light for most of us." Pyrrha explained to a curious Jaune, feeling the smile he gave her at the end warming her up.
Jaune nodded "Right, we can do that during the week also, we should have the time." He did show a bit of a grimace at the thought of shopping with everyone. Shopping with 6 girls… yeah… no way, even if those girls did include Ruby and Nora who he suspected of also not liking long shopping trips.
Pyrrha smiled widely at Jaune and decided to play with him for a moment, very interested in his response "Oh, it won't be so bad, you will have all of us showing off our outfits to you." Pyrrha finishing off with a wide pleased smile and pressed herself more into Jaune's chest.
Jaune blushed and looked away, feeling what Pyrrha was pressing into him, the two were so large and soft and firm. Thoughts of her and Weiss and Yang and Blake and Ruby modelling outfits also made him close his eyes. He wasn't sure what to feel about his sudden excitement, was it bad, it wasn't like any of the outfits would show a lot of skin if they were supposed to be actual armour.
Pyrrha saw his blush and smirked, Jaune was so adorable. Pyrrha never knew how he didn't already have a girlfriend from home. She really didn't know why no girls tried to get to know him… Oh well, their loss.
Jaune pulled himself from some scandalous thoughts, Pyrrha in bikini armour scandalous, Ruby in bikini armour scandalous. Yang and Weiss and Blake posing scandalous. While he did believe that with enough prodding or daring, Yang would wear that kind of 'armour', the rest, no way in all the hells.
Jaune cleared his throat and tried to fight down his blush "Yeah, if we have time and everyone agrees."
Pyrrha just continued to smirk at him and poked his nose "What were you thinking about there Jaune?"
Jaune stuttered "A…anyways… I… speaking about Ruby and her team, do you know why they were acting weird towards me this week?"
Pyrrha lost her smirk at that question, she wondered what she should tell Jaune… "Well… that's actually my fault…"
"Your fault? How?" Jaune asked wondering what Pyrrha did.
"Umm, on Sunday when they came into the room to get me, when I got out of bed, I… umm… kicked off the blanket and they saw you."
Jaune smiled when Pyrrha said kicked off, she was really turning into someone who hated to get up before she had to. Jaune wondered how many people would have guessed that 'perfect' Pyrrha was so grumpy in the morning.
But what did that mean? He was sleeping in his pants, so aside from seeing his chest then what? Oh no… Jaune opened and closed his mouth a few times "Saw what? You don't mean…" Jaune looked down at his dick which was slightly pressing up against his pants.
Jaune held back a sigh, it seemed like even though he was getting used to Pyrrha's closeness and not reacting to her like a horny teenage boy. He was still a horny teenage boy and Pyrrha was one of the best-looking girls he knew, a gorgeous woman who was close to him, kept touching him and slept with almost nothing on pressed against him.
But the girls seeing his erection could be very bad…
Pyrrha nodded against his shoulder "Yes, they saw your… umm… erection… covered by your pants…" Pyrrha paused for a second feeling a blush grow on her face. It felt like they were breaking their unspoken rule.
Blushing terribly she continued "When we sleep with each other, I generally always feel it against me in the mornings and as you are a teenage boy and it is a normal thing for you… I don't bring any attention to it… like you never said anything about my chest pressed against you or… my… habit of touching you when we sleep."
Pyrrha's blush exploded and she pressed her face harder against Jaune's shoulder.
Jaune blushed as well, he knew they never really talked about what happened during the nights, even from the first night when he rubbed Pyrrha's butt and she rubbed his. He also tried not to make a big thing of the touching Pyrrha did, the rubbing, and her constantly squishing her boobs against him.
But oh gods, they saw his erection... Weiss and Yang saw… Ruby saw… Jaune swallowed "So… what did they do? Ruby saw? Why didn't Yang do something? Or Weiss?"
Pyrrha chuckled into his shoulder "They didn't do much, they looked and were shocked, but that's about it. I did have to get in Yang's way or she may have done something…" Pyrrha paused for a second "You are big… bigger than normal so… it surprised them."
Jaune's blush increased and he felt a surprisingly large surge of pride and happiness… confidence… and deep embarrassment. "Oh gods" Jaune whined out and turned around from Pyrrha, showing her his back, curling in a bit.
Pyrrha sighed and snuggled against Jaune's back, she wrapped an arm around his chest and her other hand went to his head and she started petting Jaune's soft and fluffy hair. Jaune was so adorable, and it was times like this that she was glad that she was almost as tall as Jaune. She could be the big spoon with just some adjustments.
"It's okay, the girls will be embarrassed for a bit, but they will get over it and everything will go back to normal… well maybe Yang will have some new jokes… and Ruby may be a bit more shy…" Pyrrha said as she petting Jaune and pulled his back closer to her front.
Pyrrha continued "In a way, that was the best time it could have happened, we are not on a mission or in some small town and there were exams right afterwards. So, they saw it in a… controlled environment."
Jaune whined loudly and felt Pyrrha snuggle even more into his back, her arm wrapped around him pulling him closer to her. The petting was nice. "Still… I… it's an embarrassing thing, you know, that out of the 6 girls between the two teams 5 saw…" Jaune grumbled.
Pyrrha nodded "Yes, I imagine it is, though I think you showed it to Nora as well when you went to the bathroom during the night Tuesday…"
"Gods…" Jaune muttered and curled in his legs a bit more.
"Don't worry, this week will keep everyone busy, then we will have classes and exams and the next semester. They will forget about it." Pyrrha told Jaune while petting his hair and rubbing his side with her other hand.
Jaune nodded, feeling a bit of his blush leave, really hoping that what Pyrrha said would come to pass.
They talked a bit more about the show and how unexpectedly cute it was that Blake liked it and they drifted off to sleep.
- Scene Break -
Saturday was a lazy morning with both teams sleeping in, even Ren and Weiss slept until 9 before they woke up. The rest woke up closer to noon and they met up for lunch.
Though at the table Pyrrha had a overly happy expression and Jaune had an embarrassed look on his face. Both of which caught team RWBY's attention. They looked at each other for a moment before Yang smirked and opened her mouth to ask.
"So, Pyrrha, Jaune, eventful night?" Yang looked from Pyrrha to Jaune and back.
Pyrrha and Jaune looked at each other, Jaune shook his head at Pyrrha, he really didn't want her to tell the girls that he knew that they saw his erection.
Pyrrha raised an eyebrow at Jaune's expression and turned to Yang "Not really, I think Jaune is just out of sorts because when we woke up, he was the little spoon. For the first time. And it looked like he might have enjoyed it."
Pyrrha smiled at Jaune and wrapped an arm around his waist squishing him to her side. She made herself very comfortable there. Jaune groaned and pressed his face against Pyrrha's shoulder while he grumbled out "Why did you tell them that."
Nora jumped in "I saw them, Jaune looked so cozy in Pyrrha's arms. And Pyrrha had such a big smile of her face. It was such a cute sight."
Yang smiled widely while Ruby cooed. Weiss shook her head and even Blake looked from Pyrrha to Jaune.
Pyrrha rubbed Jaune's soft hair "It's nothing you should be embarrassed about. We are similar in height and I guess from time to time during the night we may change positions to me spooning you. Though I much prefer you spooning me or me sleeping on top of your chest."
"You are a much more comfortable pillow." Pyrrha finished and felt Jaune press his face even more into the crook of her neck.
Jaune was grateful that Pyrrha didn't say anything about he knowing about the erection episode, but he felt she could have gone about explaining his embarrassment away in a different way.
Yang smirked "You enjoy Pyrrha's big boobs pressed against your chest more than your back, I get that. But still if you like little spooning, I can be your big spoon. Or Ruby. Oh, I know, Weiss can be the big spoon."
Jaune groaned louder and Yang chuckled. Pyrrha just petting his hair more, oddly enjoying Jaune snuggling against her for once.
Ruby gasped and stuttered out "Yang!" while Weiss grumbled a "What are you talking about?"
After a few minutes, where Yang wondered out loud how it would feel for Weiss to spoon Jaune, conversation turned to what everyone had planned during the day.
As no one had any concrete plans Pyrrha decided that today and maybe tomorrow might be a good time to start with the change in their outfits.
In a lull in conversation Pyrrha looked at everyone "I've been thinking."
Everyone at the table turned to her and Jaune along with Nora and Yang ask "About what?"
"Something that came to me while I was thinking about training. We all need to change our outfits to ones with more protection." Pyrrha said as she looked from person to person.
"What do you mean, what's wrong with our outfits?" Ruby asked, confused and very curious about where Pyrrha was going with her change outfits thought.
"Well, apart from most of our clothes being somewhat reinforced and Jaune and I having some armour, our outfits have no good protection if your aura goes down to a low level. Even some protection can be the difference between living to run away or dying." Pyrrha said with a serious look on her face.
Everyone at the table looked at each other and considered what Pyrrha just said. They were kind of open to getting other outfits, but the ones they had are ones that they chose after some consideration. They all liked their outfits.
Pyrrha nodded to their feedback "Yes, I know that you all like your outfits and you all look good in them. But, even though hunter outfits are more about fashion and attention than being actual armour, it doesn't mean that an outfit can't be both."
Before anyone could say anything Pyrrha continued "There are a couple stores in Vale that I want to show you and if you all don't like what they have then I won't bring up outfit changes again. So what does everyone think?"
Everyone looked around at each other and Weiss nodded "It's a good idea, we could take a look and see what else is out there." If there was a chance that Pyrrha had some idea as to what could be better outfits then Weiss wanted to know.
Plus getting Ruby and Blake to agree to go clothes shopping was almost impossible. Even though Yang liked clothes shopping more than she did, Weiss always did like to see what huntresses were buying. Call it an aftereffect of always hearing and learning about businesses and trends.
Yang smiled "Sure, I'm free today to look around. Might even find something good." Yang was open for a change of outfit, sure she liked what she chose, but getting an upgrade or even updating it would be fun. And she could admit that her current outfit apart from looking good, didn't have any protection.
Though that was due to her semblance, she needed clothes that could let damage get through. So it really was an interesting question, what kind of outfit could both allow damage and offer protection. Hmm…
"That sounds like a great idea, wonder what I could get?" Nora said smiling widely, she had an idea of what to get, but they never had the money to buy most of what they wanted. Now with their Beacon discount and support, Nora wondered if she could actually afford the outfit.
Blake and Ruby looked at each other, neither were big fans of clothes shopping or browsing. Both liked to walk in, buy what they wanted and walk out. The shopping they did like was books for Blake and anything weapons related for Ruby.
But if Pyrrha had an idea, then, after a moment of looking at each other they both nodded and said "Sure". They had no other plans and they could just hear Yang trying to convince them to come along.
On the other side of table a similar thing was happening, Jaune and Ren were looking at each other and sighing. Neither liked shopping for clothes much, Jaune from his experience with his sisters and Ren from not being interested and Nora's shopping habits. Habits that though cute, were slightly destructive.
But, both came to the same conclusion for different reasons, that shopping today would work. Ren did have an idea of what he could get, plus seeing what Nora would get and keeping a lid on what she could do. Jaune had no idea of what to get, but it sounded like Pyrrha had an idea. Plus if what they talked about last night did happen…
Pyrrha smiled getting okays from everyone "That's good, so we get ready and meet up in 5 minutes.."
Pyrrha was cut off by Weiss "We would need some more time, 20 minutes or so." If Pyrrha was taking them somewhere then Weiss needed to make a good impression. And it would be good if the rest if her team didn't mess something up.
Pyrrha nodded "Sure, sounds good. We can meet up outside the rooms."
Everyone nodded and they all make they way back to their rooms Nora, Ruby and Yang asking Pyrrha where exactly they were going, Pyrrha replying that it was a surprise.
As team RWBY walked into their room and everyone started to get ready, Weiss turned to her team "Okay everyone" she gave them a second to pay attention to her. Once she could feel their eyes "I need the best behaviour out of all of you. Pyrrha will be taking us somewhere to people she knows, so nothing that could get Pyrrha or us in trouble…"
Yang cut off the rest of Weiss's rant "It'll be fine Weissy, it's not like we don't know how to shop." Yang said while shaking her head and walking over to her closet to grab some other clothes.
Weiss glared at Yang's back "So you say, next thing we know you're in a brawl with some huntress over a pair of boots." As Weiss talked she heard Ruby giggle and Blake sigh.
Weiss turned to look at them "Ruby don't encourage your sister's bad behaviour and Blake please keep an eye on your partner." Weiss paused for a second before remembering "And Ruby, no hiding in the corner watching something on your scroll or going to a different store. Stay with us and do what Pyrrha asks."
Ruby, still pretty uncertain about shopping for clothes when she already had her favourite outfit nodded "Sure Weiss, sure, I'll do what Pyrrha says." Ruby crossed her arms and huffed. What did Weiss think she would do? And did that mean she would have to try on multiple outfits 'just to see how they look'.
Weiss shook her head and went to brush her hair. Ruby changed into her 'Vale' clothes, the ones Yang forced her to buy, Yang changed into her nicer clothes as well and went to brush her hair as well.
Blake after a moment of thinking and wondering how much Weiss would… nag… changed into her 'better' clothes as well.
- The clothes that team RWBY are wearing are what they had on in Volume 2 episode 3 and 4 -
Across the hall Pyrrha had a problem, a she would be recognized kind of problem, she was thinking what she could wear to hide herself from people but not look suspicious. Hmm…
As Pyrrha was thinking Jaune walked back into the room from the bathroom and threw his hoodie on his bed, he now had on a zip up hoodie, dark blue and soft looking. Though all of his hoodies were soft. Wait a second, Pyrrha looked at the hoodie Jaune threw on the bed.
It was from yesterday evening, so it was still clean, so "Hey Jaune?" Pyrrha asked.
"Yeah?" Jaune answered turning to look at her.
Pyrrha walked over and picked up the hoodie "Why did you change hoodies?" she asked.
Jaune blinked "Umm, since we are going clothes shopping… I thought something with a zipper would be better to take off and put back on quickly." Jaune paused "Why, do we need to wear something fancy?"
Pyrrha shook her head "No, what you have on is fine…" She looked at the hoodie in her hand and nodded to herself. Pyrrha looked back up at Jaune "Would you mind if I wore your hoodie? To… uh… help hide myself." She felt a light blush grow on her cheeks.
This is something girlfriends did, right? Wear their boyfriend's jackets or dress shirts or sweaters. Pyrrha felt a warm bubbly feeling grow just imagining that.
Jaune felt a weird tension shoot through his chest and legs, what was that? Why did the image of Pyrrha in his hoodie, outside in Vale, where everyone could see her, make him feel that. "S… sure Pyrrha, if you… you know, want to then sure… feel free…" Jaune forced himself to stop talking before he started babbling.
Pyrrha smiled at him and gave him a quick hug before walking over to Jaune's closet and looking through his clothes. A sweater with no hood, a jacket with no hood, a too warm winter jacket that had a hood, a way too warm hoodie with a hood and another hoodless sweater… She looked down at the hoodie she had in her hand.
Okay then, after a moment she took off her light sweater and shirt, she put on a crop top she forgot she had and Jaune's hoodie. It was so warm and even smelled like Jaune and thankfully wasn't too big on her. She snuggled into the hoodie a bit, it was very cozy and not overly thick.
Pyrrha turned to her team and saw Nora's smirk, Ren's slight smile and Jaune looking her up and down. Pyrrha smiled at him and walked over to stop right in front of him.
"See something you like?" Pyrrha asked, feeling so good, putting on Jaune's hoodie looked to have been the right choice. Pyrrha placed her hands in Jaune's chest and smiled at him.
Jaune swallowed, felt his blush grow and nodded "You… you look great Pyrrha…" He then smiled again and turned around, walked to the door and asked "So, everyone ready?"
What? Why did Pyrrha do that? Jaune looked at a widely smiling Pyrrha, who walked over to stand beside him. Why was seeing her in his, too big for her, hoodie something he was focusing on… Jaune shook his head.
Pyrrha kept smiling as Nora and Ren walked over to them, "We are ready" Nora said happily smiling at Ren who had a light, relaxed look on his face.
"Okay, just let me make a call." Pyrrha said as she walked to the far side of the room and brought out her scroll.
Jaune nodded and sent a message to Ruby that they were ready. A second later heard knocking and Ruby saying that its her.
Opening the door led to a surprise, he never saw Ruby in those clothes before, they looked good and seemed more protective than her normal huntress outfit.
Ruby smiled up at Jaune "We need a few more minutes, Weiss and Yang are just finishing off their hair. It takes them forever."
Jaune and Nora who was standing beside him chuckled.
Several minutes later the rest of team RWBY made their way out of the room and Pyrrha walked out as well.
"Okay, they are expecting us, so we should make our way there." Pyrrha said as she put away her scroll and came to a stop in front of everyone. They all looked at her with wide eyes, or in Yang's case a smirk.
"What?" Pyrrha asked.
Weiss pointed "Is that Jaune's? What he was just wearing?"
Pyrrha nodded "Yup, since it is a hoodie and baggy, it should hide me pretty well. I'll be just a person in a hoodie." Pyrrha smiled at Weiss and pulled the hood up to cover her face. Her hair which she put in a messy braid spilled out on her left shoulder.
"So, how do I look?" Pyrrha asked and spread out her arms to the side.
Weiss sighed "You are correct there, it hides you pretty well and you look like well…" Weiss trailed off.
Ruby nodded at what her partner said "Yup, no one should recognize you."
Yang just smirked at her and even Blake looked her up and down. Pyrrha smiled back at them. She saw Jaune look away from Yang's smirking with a light blush across his cheeks and nose. He was so adorable.
A couple minutes later found them walking to the bullheads and Jaune taking a deep breath, hoping that the medicine that Pyrrha gave him would hold up for the trip to Vale and back.
They all piled into the Bullhead and made their way to Vale.
- Scene Break -
After the flight and long walk, they were nearing the place, based on what Pyrrha saw. She looked at her scroll, smiled and pointed to a store down the street as the one.
Pyrrha was in a surprisingly happy mood, so far her hoodie plan was working, no one they passed on the street recognized her. She smiled and snuggled even more into Jaune's side. She was just a tall girl out with her friends to everyone else. It maybe even looked like Jaune was her boyfriend due to how they were walking.
And bonus for her, she wasn't getting flashes of images from the vision.
The walk down the street was quick, with Nora and Ruby commenting on what they saw in the windows and Yang making guesses at what outfits Pyrrha would have them try on. Yang came to the conclusion that they were either some plated armor thing or a reinforced bodysuit.
Pyrrha shook her head as she opened the door and led everyone inside. Once inside she pulled down her hood and looked around.
A second later a loud "AH, she's here" from another room caused everyone to jump.
Ruby grumbled "Stupid jump scare."
To which Jaune smiled at Ruby.
Blake took a second to calm down as well, she nearly grabbed her weapon.
A quick moment later a older, short man in very loud clothes with a very pointy mustache came to a stop in front of Pyrrha. He was bookended by 4 young women, 2 on each side.
"Pyrrha, my dear, so good to see you. What are you wearing?" he paused and shook his head "Never mind that, I got your messages. So these are your friends, let me take a look."
Pyrrha smiled at him "Yes, uncle Herbert, these are my friends. Thank you for making the time."
Herbert waved his hand "No problem at all, it's not everyday my dear niece asks me for something." He looked at the kids in front of him, an interesting group. He turned his attention back to Pyrrha "How is my dear cousin anyway, she hasn't called me in a while."
Pyrrha nodded "Well you know mom, she is pretty busy, especially now that uncle Ralph got married again and left all his work for mom as well."
Herbert sighed "Yes, I heard about that, who did Ralph marry this time, that police officer or was he a politician? Poor Cass, having to do all of Ralph's work as well."
"He is a police officer… I think… he works in the central police station." Pyrrha said, a bit confused.
The rest of team JNPR and team RWBY all looked with confused faces at Pyrrha and the man who was her uncle Herbert. Blake was slightly interested in hearing more about this uncle Ralph and what happened to his last marriage and what was this marriage about. It sounded like some sort of romantic drama.
Herbert chuckled "Well, knowing Cass, she will manage. And I doubt that this marriage will last any longer than any of his previous ones. You know Ralph, he always thinks that this time they are the one and he will live forever in romantic bliss. Then 3 months pass and the complaining starts…"
Pyrrha sighed along with her uncle.
Herbert then clapped his hands "Anyway, onto better things, welcome to my shop, I am Herbert Priam, Pyrrha's uncle as you heard. Forgive the family gossip. Who would you all be, friends of my dear niece?"
Weiss stepped forward, she heard of Priam Outfitters, a pretty expensive shop for both hunters and civilians. Priam also had a contract to make undershirts and pants for Atlas's military. Weiss couldn't have ever imagined that Pyrrha was related to the Priam family.
Weiss nodded "I'm Weiss Schnee, Pyrrha's friend and a member of team RWBY, Pyrrha's team's sister team."
Herbert nodded "Well met Ms. Schnee, may I say the Schnee heir is always a great person to see."
Weiss smiled and turned to look at her team. It felt oddly good to introduce herself as Pyrrha's friend.
Yang looked at Ruby hanging back beside Jaune and Blake, also hanging back, and sighed. She took a step forward. "I'm Yang Xiao Long and she is my sister Ruby Rose and she is my partner Blake Belladonna, we make up the rest of team RWBY." Yang saw both of them nod as she pointed to them during the introductions.
Herbert smiled "Hello Ms. Xiao Long and Ms. Rose, your father wouldn't by chance be Taiyang Xiao Long?
Yang nodded "Yes, he's our dad, why?"
"You remind me of him quite a bit actually" Herbert said and paused before continuing "You know that I actually had the fortunate pleasure of meeting your father once. Yes, must have been 10 years ago, ran into him in some small village. Great man, never forgave his parents for calling him Tai. Not much of a drinker, but I guess Qrow covers that."
Yang and Ruby looked at each other at that. It looked like Qrow's reputation was actually worse than they thought.
"And Ms. Belladonna, welcome, I never had the fortune to meet your father, but I did have dealings with your mother, you are the spitting image of her. Kali is something else isn't she, didn't much care for her young friend, she had a much too acidic tongue for pleasant company." Herbert said much to the shock of Blake.
Blake smiled weakly, Pyrrha's uncle knew?
Pyrrha cleared her throat "Dealings? How did you meet her? Blake's mom I mean."
"Oh, I never told you about it? It is a story, must have been 12 or so years ago, she came to Mistral looking for a certain cloth. As our company was one of the few that had it in stock she came to us to buy it." Herbert explained.
Blake blinked, cloth? 12 years ago? Wait… the original protective uniforms. Pyrrha's uncle sold dust reinforced, military grade, body armour to the White Fang? Blake looked at him and saw him wink at her. What? How could the White Fang have even afforded that? Blake always thought that the Fang stole it from Atlas.
Pyrrha looked between her uncle and Blake, who looked like she had some sort of revelation.
Herbert turned to look at the other three kids.
Jaune stepped forward and nodded "Hello, I'm Jaune Arc, Pyrrha's partner…"
Nora jumped in "I'm Nora and this is Ren, we make up the rest of team JNPR. Pyrrha is awesome, she is super strong and a great study buddy."
Jaune smiled "Yes, Pyrrha is a great partner, um, they are Nora Valkyrie and Lie Ren."
Herbert smiled "Welcome, yes you could have only been an Arc, tall, blond hair, blue eyes, you must be Louis's only son. I heard that he didn't want his children to become huntsmen."
"Well… I managed to convince him. Do you know my dad?" Jaune asked.
"No, I never had the pleasure of meeting him or your mother. I do know your grandfather, Arthur is quite a character. I have to say you look very similar to him you know. He was quite the ladies man back in the day, many a young maiden's heart broke when he married your grandmother. But one of the best men I have the privilege of knowing." Herbert said smiling widely.
Jaune chuckled weakly, he heard the stories of his grandfather's younger days as well. He was always surprised that he didn't have more aunts and uncles based on how much his grandfather got around. He held back a shudder.
"Well, such are the things of youth." Herbert said, he then turned to Ren and Nora "Unfortunately you have me at a disadvantage, I've not met or heard about your families."
Ren and Nora looked at each other and nodded, "That is to be expected." Ren said and looked down. Nora squeezed Ren's arm.
Herbert looked from them to Pyrrha who was shaking her head with a sad look on her face. "Yes, apologies for bringing a dark past up. That is an unfortunate commonality in this world."
He then cleared his throat and looked at all of Pyrrha's friends, a good looking group, each with an unique or distinctive style. "Forgive my crass change of topic, I've been informed by my niece that you all are thinking or looking to get new hunter outfits and if I may say so, outside of Atlas's labs, you will not find finer material or designs."
Herbert spread his arms and said "Please have a look around if you have any questions ask one of my lovely associates here. I have some notes that my dear niece wanted me to read so I will be back as soon as possible."
Herbert then nodded, smiled at Pyrrha and made his way back through a door.
Everyone looked at each other and Weiss turned to Pyrrha "You're related to Mr. Priam? He called your mom his cousin…"
Pyrrha felt a light blush grow on her face "Yes, my mom is from the Priam family and she helps run the store in Argus."
Weiss blinked, "How…"
She was interrupted by Yang who asked "We get a discount right?" and Nora asking "Yeah, we get a family and friends discount right?"
Weiss glared at both Yang and Nora, she opened her mouth to tell them that they were being rude asking for a discount, but she was interrupted again, this time by Pyrrha.
"Yes, but you don't need a discount, uncle Herbert and I will cover the cost of anything you want from the store." Pyrrha said smiling at Yang's and Nora's sudden excited looks.
Ruby walked to Weiss and patted her shoulder, Weiss had such a grumpy look on her face. Weiss let out a breath and raised a hand to put on Ruby's, she then squeezed Ruby's hand. Weiss appreciated the support from her partner.
Weiss looked at Pyrrha again and asked "Did you know that he knew most of our families?"
Pyrrha shook her head "No, that was a surprise to me, I unfortunately don't talk much with uncle Herbert, he is always travelling and working. So not much time for longer talks."
Weiss nodded, she saw that Pyrrha was truly surprised that her uncle was familiar with their families.
Pyrrha scratched her head "My uncle always did say that the world was smaller than we thought. I guess as someone who sells expensive hunter clothes there aren't that many people buying them."
Weiss nodded to what Pyrrha said.
After a pause Jaune looked around and asked "So we look around and see what looks good?"
Pyrrha nodded "Yup, I think there are some shirt and pants for you Jaune over there and the woman's section is over through that door." She said and pointed to where they should go to find something maybe useful.
The teams nodded and walked to where Pyrrha pointed followed by the young sales associates.
Yang walked up to a set of shelves that had interesting jackets on them and started looking through them. She was joined shortly afterwards by Blake. The both browsed for a moment. Yang picked out a jacket and she saw Blake picking something out as well.
Yang was looking at a pretty good looking dark tan biker-like jacket. It said that the jacket was made from reinforced nano-weave, whatever that was. But it looked good, had ¾ length sleeves and she could unbutton the top and bottom buttons to allow some damage to get through. Plus it looked like it was in her size. Though it was expensive, it alone cost more than her whole current outfit.
Yang did wonder if a shorter style jacket would work better, it would look better and let more damage through, but… after a moment of consideration she shook her head and took the jacket to try on.
"Hey Blakey, see anything you might like?" Yang asked as she turned around and saw Blake looking over a jacket.
Blake nodded "This looks okay." She said as she looked at a white long-sleeved jacket. Blake recognized the material as the same thing that the Fang make their uniforms out of. Not the best armour, but light and flexible. Though there was a short sleeve version as well. And one made out of a more expensive material.
Blake turned to Yang and showed the jacket "You think that something like this would work?" She held the jacket in front of her.
Yang nodded, it looked good, longer in the back than the front mostly white with some highlights here and there. "Yeah, looks good, though won't a jacket get in the way for you?"
Blake shook her head "If it's comfortable and not baggy then it shouldn't be a problem." Blake felt a light smile grow on her face. Maybe this outfit update would work out in the end. She started to look at some undershirts when she felt something grab her arm.
Yang smiled and looked around, on a rack on the other side of the room she saw a pair of pants that looked perfect. She turned to Blake and grabbed her arm with one hand "I see the best pants over there, come along partner, to shopping adventures." Yang said pointing forward, she then set off, pulling Blake along.
Blake sighed and let herself be pulled along, she did see what looked to be a pretty good looking pair of pants as well. She could always come back for the shirt.
Behind them one of the sales associates followed along chuckling to herself. It looked like the one named Yang knew what she liked. That made her job so much easier.
By another shelf of clothes, Ruby was looking through some shirts and corsets, under Weiss's orders. Ruby wanted to find something similar to her current outfit, but better. She did find a black and red shirt/vest/corset thing that looked pretty good. And it was made out of the same material as her current outfit, so bonus.
Ruby looked around to see if anyone noticed her smiling while shopping, she saw Yang and Blake walking over to look at some pants, not paying attention. Weiss was also looking at shirts beside her, not paying attention. That was good, no one saw. More importantly Yang didn't see.
Ruby could just imagine what Yang would do if she even thought for a second that Ruby liked clothes shopping. And hopefully her finding this shirt would show Weiss that she was taking this seriously. Ruby didn't want to shop for the whole day.
Weiss was enjoying herself, looking through shirts and dresses and jackets, all so different from what she would normally look for and wear. She had a sudden impulse to change her style a bit. Everything she was bought before were basically the same, combat skirts and dresses. Weiss wondered what she would look like if she copied her sister's style.
Even before the Atlas military uniform, Winter always liked wearing military style outfits. For a short while Winter even wore a combat version of the Atlas academy uniform. Weiss wondered how something like that would looked on her. Plus no one from her family would be able to complain since she could just say she was copying her sister.
Weiss did find a white formal style shirt and silver coloured military styled jacket. Kind of similar actually to what Winter wore. Weiss smiled and began to look for a coat even more similar to what her sister would wear.
Out of the corner of her eye Weiss did see that Ruby picked out a shirt which she was looking over. Huh, maybe even Ruby would buy something, wouldn't that be a surprise. Weiss then looked around to see where some pants would be.
A few feet away another sales associate, the loser of the rock paper scissors that decided which one of them would follow what pair, was surprised. All of them thought that dealing with the Schnee would be a horrible experience, but it was proving to be far better. Weiss just asked questions about everything she picked up, but nothing more.
In another room Nora was rummaging through a few shelves of clothes looking for some sort of shirt or jacket that would look good on Ren. She already got a cool looking, partly armoured jacket for herself, along with a soft shirt. Best of all Ren approved of both and said that they looked good.
Nora really wanted to try on her new clothes and show Ren how she looked, but finding something for Ren was more important. Looking over another jacket Nora shook her head and threw it aside, it really didn't fit Ren's style.
On another shelf Nora saw a flash of green while rummaging and stopped, she pulled out whatever clothes had that nice green colour and smiled widely at what she saw. A Mistral style coat, green and on the longer side as well. This would look perfect on Ren.
Nora was feeling pretty happy and even slightly excited. She and Ren could get new hunter clothes, anything they wanted, for free! Pyrrha was the best! Last time it took months of working odd jobs to scrape together enough money to buy their outfits for Beacon. Good huntress outfits were ridiculously expensive.
But now, whatever they picked would be theirs. Nora smiled widely looking at the clothes she picked out and wondered if she would be able to get more shirts than just the one. She really didn't want to take advantage of Pyrrha or her uncle, but these clothes could or maybe would have to last them until they became official Hunters. So a couple more wouldn't hurt.
Nora shook her head and brought her thoughts back to what she was doing before. She turned around and saw Ren looking at some t-shirts "Hey, Renny, what do you think of this?"
Ren was looking at shirts when he heard Nora call him, turning around he saw the coat that Nora had in her hands. Presenting it proudly to him. It did look good, Mistral style, not baggy and in one of his favourite colours.
Ren took it from Nora and saw an expecting look grow on her face, "The coat looks good, I'll try it on." He said much to Nora's joy. He got a full force smile from her.
Nora nodded smiling widely "Great, now we just need pants and a shirt for you Ren." She said as she moved over to look at different shirts.
Ren pulled out the white shirt he was looking at and said to Nora "I think this will work." He showed it to Nora.
Nora looked it over, light looking, form fitting, nice white colour. Yeah, it would totally work. She smiled and nodded "Yeah, that looks great. Okay so now pants." Nora looked over through the doors to the woman's side of the store and more specifically to where Yang, Blake, Weiss and Ruby where. Going through piles of pants.
"Right, you won't mind if we looked for pants or a skirt for me? Looks like team RWBY will take all the good ones first if we don't get there soon!" Nora said looking at Ren with pleading eyes.
Ren shook his head and felt a light smile grow, "No problem, let's go find you something."
Nora smiled and took off to the other side of the store. Ren shook his head again and followed behind her looking over the shelves and racks for anything else that might be good.
A couple steps behind him the third sales associate followed, slightly bewildered, the Nora girl was no joke. She tore through shelves and racks of clothes with a speed she never saw before. But the girl and the boy named Ren did look cute looking over shirts together. Even finding things together was almost like a dance for them, they never got in each other's way, always knew where the other was.
Though the girl did glare at her when she suggested that she could measure Ren to know what size to look for stuff in. She backed off a few steps and hung around to answer questions for the cute pair. But yeah, she was in no hurry to anger a huntress that could probably snap her in half with no effort
Over by another rack of shirts was Pyrrha, going through them, trying to find something for Jaune. He was slim now, but would bulk up due to training, so she needed to find something with a bit of give. Not stretchy, but flexible and light. Hmm…
Pyrrha already ran over and picked out what she wanted and could now focus on her main goal, finding something good for Jaune. Shopping for Jaune did feel kind of intimate. Pyrrha smiled as she looked over a black shirt, reinforced like the rest and with a bit of give. It may work.
At another shelf Jaune was looking at a breastplate and comparing it to a chestplate. They looked the same and Jaune really didn't know why they had different names. Both looked to be an upgrade to his current one, but Jaune wondered if he should get something besides a metal plate.
Some of the armoured jackets looked cool. And the so called tactical armoured vest was pretty interesting, it looked kind of like a heavier version of a bulletproof vest. A flak jacket looking design looked a bit too bulky, but could work.
Though a white and gold metal plate chestplate with arm guards and pauldrons looked the most interesting. The metal plate only went down to the stomach, which was a problem, but it did have the same metal plate on the back. So it could work. He would just need a good shirt.
Jaune really didn't want full plate armour like Cardin had, it looked difficult to move in and made some moves that Pyrrha showed him impossible to do.
As Jaune was looking at the armour Pyrrha walked over to him with what she thought might be the perfect shirt. It was a nano-weave, multi-layered reinforced shirt. It was slate black with some give and pretty light and breathable. Horribly expensive though, cost more than a full metal plate suit.
Pyrrha stopped beside Jaune "Hey Jaune, I think I found you the perfect shirt. What are you looking at here?" Pyrrha showed Jaune the shirt as she looked down at the armour Jaune was looking at. It was eerily similar to the armour he wore in Atlas.
Jaune looked over and took the shirt from Pyrrha, it looked good, he would have to try it on. "Yeah, that looks like a great shirt. Umm, I'm looking at this armour. It looks good, but I don't see a price anywhere."
Pyrrha nodded "The price would depend on the type of metal you want it made out of, this armour is just a demo one made out of cheaper metals. The weight of it would be kind of in the middle of what the actual armour would weigh." Pyrrha explained to a nodding Jaune, feeling like her mom just talked through her.
Jaune grabbed the armour and smiled at Pyrrha "Right, let's get some pants, leg armour and see how it looks." He said in a hopefully neutral voice. He was kind of enjoying himself looking through all the different armours.
Pyrrha smiled back at Jaune "Sounds good, the pants are over there." She said and tilted her head in the direction of the other room where everyone was currently.
As they made their way over to everyone else the last sale associate smiled and followed them. She didn't know that Pyrrha was so tall in real life, she heard her boss go on and on about his niece Pyrrha, but he never said that she was so tall. Though Pyrrha and her partner were adorable together.
After some time and a quick argument between Yang and Weiss on the subject of if armoured hot pants was actually armour. Everyone got some pants and any leg armour they wanted and made their way to the changing rooms.
Yang turned to everyone and smiled "Hey, I have any idea, why don't we all put on our new clothes and show them to each other at the same time?"
Ruby and Nora nodded happily "Yeah, that sounds fun." Ruby said and turned to stare at Yang "No funny business." Ruby pointed at Yang while she said that. Yang chuckled.
After a few clothes swaps to get the right size, Yang grabbing a different style jacket and Nora grabbing a different shirt for Ren, they all put on their new outfits and stepped out on the count of three.
Pyrrha smiled as she looked over everyone, they all thankfully took her advice and choose more protective options.
Yang now had on a dark tan jacket that came down to just above her midriff, showing off her stomach, it was also zipped down to below her breasts showing a black undershirt. The sleeves of the jacket went down to her elbows. She had on black pants and dark tan knee high boots. With a dark brown belt. Pyrrha had to admit, it was a good look for Yang.
- Yang has on her Volume 4-7 outfit, without the coattails and a black shirt -
Blake now had on a white jacket that she didn't zip up, the jacket had full length sleeves. Underneath she had on a black crop top with a diamond cut-out pattern at the top. The crop top showed her midriff and Pyrrha wondered if Blake and Yang made some sort of agreement. She had on black pants, black knee high boots and a white belt. It looked good on Blake.
- Blake has on her Volume 4-7 outfit, without the coattails, a longer black shirt and knee high boots -
Weiss had on a white, almost silvery coat with a white dress shirt type shirt underneath. The coat had full length sleeves that had a dark blue stripe running on outside from her neck to her shoulders and down to the elbows. She had dark blue, almost black pants and black boots. She also had a white, double looping belt. Pyrrha had to blink, Weiss looked so different, she almost looked like her sister.
- Weiss has on Winter's Volume 7/8 outfit, changed a bit, without the armour, tie and girdle thing -
Ruby now had on a black lace-up corset that was red in the middle. She had a gray with white sleeves shirt on. The shirt's sleeves were full length stopping at her wrist. Ruby stuck with a skirt, but it was now a short red skirt over gray mesh type pants and black knee high boots. She had on a dark brown belt and her red cape. Pyrrha nodded, it was a good look for Ruby.
- Ruby has on her Volume 8 outfit, though changed, no random belts and the top is one shirt -
Team RWBY was looking good, Pyrrha would need to just confirm that all the shirts they had on were the reinforced kind and see if she could get Yang and Blake to wear a nano-weave mesh vest under their shirts to cover their stomachs.
Looking over to her team.
Ren now had on a dark green sleeveless Mistral style top that was longer than normal vests and when down to below his waist. He had a white long-sleeved shirt underneath, the shirt looked dress shirt like as well. He had on white dress pants style pants and black boots. He also had on a black belt and black gloves. Pyrrha saw Nora staring at Ren and had to agree that Ren cleaned up nice.
- Ren has on his Volume 7-8 outfit, without the armoured arm -
Nora had on a pink and white coat, with the white in the middle. The coat had full length white sleeves. Underneath she had a black shirt and a short black skirt. Thankfully she also had on what looked like white nano-weave mesh stocking and black boots. She also had a black belt to complete the look. Pyrrha was happy that Nora did find something that she liked and that also was protective. She could also see Ren looking Nora over.
- Nora has on her Volume 7-8 outfit, with the coat having sleeves -
Pyrrha now really focused on Jaune, he had on a white and gold chestplate that went to his stomach, underneath he had the neck high long-sleeved black shirt that she found for him. He also had white and gold arm bracers and pauldrons. He had on dark navy blue almost black pants and dark brown boots. A dark brown belt completed his outfit. Pyrrha smiled, Jaune looked good, really good. Pyrrha could just imagine him as a knight saving the day. And taking her back for some well deserved rewards.
- Jaune has on his Volume 7-8 outfit, with the black shirt having long sleeves-
Pyrrha was pretty happy with what she picked out as well, she had on a similar outfit, but with improvements. Her corset was now a slightly more armoured bronze brown coloured overbust corset with a now gold brown middle colour. Underneath she had a black long-sleeved shirt made out of the same material as Jaune's shirt. She kept her red sash that wrapped around her waist. But underneath she now had black pants and knee high armoured bronze brown coloured boots.
Pyrrha was also pleased that none of the girls had high heels. Everyone had boots, all of them reinforced.
Pyrrha smiled at everyone "You all look great" she said very happily, she turned to Weiss "Wow Weiss you completely changed your style, it works for you."
Ruby looked around and had to agree, everyone looked great, Weiss looked so different! And Jaune looked like some sort of knight. Even Pyrrha looked quite different with the black shirt.
Weiss smiled at Pyrrha, "Thanks Pyrrha, I felt like a change." She could feel a surge of warmth from Pyrrha's complement and from the rest of her team agreeing with Pyrrha. She even felt better, looking at herself in the mirror. She felt like she took a step away from her father and the whole Atlas upper-class.
Jaune nodded to what Pyrrha said, everyone did look great. They all looked like dare he say it, real huntresses and Ren looked like a proper huntsmen.
After a few minutes of everyone admiring each other, they heard a loud "My, look at all of you."
This time Ruby didn't jump, she was keeping an eye on all the doors as everyone compared outfits. So uncle Herbert's entrance didn't catch her off guard. Ha, take that jump scare.
Herbert looked over each of them and smiled. It looks like they may not need his designs in the end. Everyone chose pretty good outfits. Proper hunter outfits.
He looked over all of them again "Now, does anyone have any questions for me?"
Nora shared a look with Ren and raised her hand "Yes, just being curious."
Herbert nodded.
"By chance would we be able to take two shirts and pants for when we would need them?" Nora asked slightly embarrassed.
Herbert smiled "That shouldn't be a problem, my dear niece asked me to help her outfit all of you for whatever may happen during your time at Beacon."
Ren nodded, while Yang smiled giving a widely smiling Nora a high five. Weiss sighed into her hand, everyone was doing so well, acting properly until now…
Pyrrha nodded along with her uncle and smiled at Nora and Yang's high-five. She turned to her uncle "Uncle, did you have a chance to read through everything I sent you?"
Herbert nodded "Yes, it shouldn't be a problem, though it may take a few days to finish."
"That should be fine." Pyrrha said smiling, much to the confusion of everyone else.
"So… what will that a few days?" Yang asked looking at Pyrrha.
Pyrrha turned to Yang "Getting your outfits ready, I asked Uncle Herbert to add a coating to all the clothes and to make everything possible out of the same material that this shirt is made out of. So it will take some time."
"Yes, I should have everything ready by Wednesday." Herbert said looking over everyone again. "Though one last thing, if everyone could take off any jackets or coats and step here. I will need a proper measurement of everyone."
Several minutes later everyone was done with the scan and changed back to their clothes.
A final goodbye and promise from Pyrrha to call more found them all waving goodbye to Uncle Herbert and the 4 young sales associates that helped them. Nora and Pyrrha did both give a final glare to two of them. Nora to the one that wanted to measure Ren and Pyrrha to the one that winked at Jaune and said that he looked good.
It was a couple hours of shopping and they were all getting pretty hungry, very quickly everyone agreed to get some food and they made their way to a out of the way diner. It was a greasy looking place, but had a warm atmosphere inside. Even Weiss only sighed once when walking into the diner.
Everyone sat down and order something, their waitress was an older, tired looking lady, but she was very pleasant. They all talked about their outfits as they waited and Pyrrha would not, no matter how much they asked, tell them how much their outfits were costing her and her uncle.
Weiss even offered to pay for part of the outfits for her team, she was thinking that half would be a small enough amount so that her father wouldn't notice. But Pyrrha was hearing none of it. The outfits were her idea and were more than a gift or investment, they could help everyone survive.
After a very good meal, they left an overly generous tip, the result of Weiss, Jaune and Pyrrha all insisting to pay for the meal and tip. Weiss said that Pyrrha already spent enough today, so she could pay. Jaune said the same thing and that as an Arc he couldn't let such a debt with his partner stand. Pyrrha waved both of them off saying that she had more than enough money.
As they left the waitress blinked at the amount of money sitting there. Three times what their bill came out to. She made more of this tip than tips for all of the month. She felt a smile grow on her face as the young kids left. And to think she even had a thought that they might not pay for all their food. Only a few more hours then she could go home and share the good news of the extra money with her family.
While the waitress smiled and tired to not cry from the unexpected generosity, everyone agreed to go their separate ways.
- Scene Break -
Ruby wanted to wanted check if the new gravity bullets she ordered came in yet and the owner just forgot to message her. Plus she could restock the rest of her ammo.
Yang decided to join her sister, she needed to restock her ammo as well, she was running really low on her regular fire and explosive ones.
Blake set off to a book store to pick up a book she had her eye on for a while and to reserve the upcoming mystery novel.
Nora and Ren went to a specialist store to pick up more grenades as Nora was also running low on them.
Weiss, Pyrrha and Jaune had no real task in Vale so they made their way back to the bullhead commute site and waited for a Bullhead.
Weiss and Pyrrha spoke about the store and how much Pyrrha knew about the business, not that much as it turned out. Though Weiss did understand that as Pyrrha spent most her time training.
Though Pyrrha did get curious as it never came up last time, or at least so far the vision didn't show her anything. "So what does your family do Jaune?" Pyrrha asked.
"Oh, I haven't told you yet? As you know why dad is a Huntsman, but most of my family's money comes from umm… two places." Jaune said slightly embarrassed.
Pyrrha raised an eyebrow "Two places?" she asked and even Weiss looked slightly interested.
"Well… my family is pretty old, we have records of the Arc family going back like 750 years. And for a long time Arcs were actually nobles. We owned a bunch of land and businesses. So we have some old family money." Jaune said as he scratched his head.
Pyrrha blinked "Really?"
Jaune nodded and Weiss looked shocked. Oh, Weiss knew that the Arc name was old and pretty well regarded, but that it was so old and that they were nobles? Weiss needed to check it out.
"Yeah, so that old family money is invested in business and stuff, my grandparents take care if that. My mom runs the vineyard where we make wine." Jaune said to surprise of both Pyrrha and Weiss. A vineyard was out of left field. That the Arc family ran one…
Pyrrha nodded "That's interesting to know, I never knew that your family was so old or that you made wine."
Jaune chuckled as a Bullhead came in to land.
A short while later found them walking to their dorms, Weiss said a goodbye as she wanted to go to the library to check a few things out.
Pyrrha suggested that they could get some training in before dinner and Jaune agreed so they grabbed their hunter outfits so maybe the second last time and made their way to one of the training rooms.
Pyrrha wanted to do a pure endurance test to see how Jaune's looked now.
- Scene Break -
In the somewhere the red hair and green saw an unfortunate probability raise its ugly head as more and more bad future probabilities blinked out of existence with every chance Pyrrha made. The red hair and green eyes felt a twinge of concern rise.
The better outfits could lead to a bad end, an overconfidence that could spread across the teams. Everyone would need to keep training and losing to prevent that overconfidence. Though the red hair and green eyes was pretty certain that Pyrrha would be able to fulfill that requirement.
Though the red hair and green eyes was getting excited, in a few short mortal months a series of decision and nexus points will happen. Big far reaching changes. The godlings might even be paying attention and wouldn't it be just great to have all the points, all the probabilities go not their way.
Chapter Six End
Hope everyone liked chapter 6, it changed multiple times during review. We changed most of the next few chapters as well. The flow will change a bit.
The next chapter will continue break week after midterms, and the next couple chapters will be the rest of the first semester.
The Huntsman movie chapter will be in a couple chapters, if anyone is waiting for that… no one… yeah we guessed that.
Just a continued reminder, this will not be the "Prime" timeline, we are changing when some events happen, as the timeline of show is not clear.
A massive thank you to HelpingHand for all of your ideas. You'll see some of them come up in the story.
For the some of you worried about Pyrrha's behaviour, she is not in the best place now, just a week and a half after a traumatic experience. She will get better and she won't be doing anything worse than what she already did. Though she may kill someone who really deserves to be killed.
For the couple of you that brought up Jaune's behaviour, he is just trying his best in a very confusing situation. Seeing a hurting Pyrrha threw him for a massive loop, the strongest person he knows in such pain. He just wants to help her.
In regards to our characterization of Yang, Nora and Ren, we hope to improve it and give some more time to Ren and Nora.
See everyone in the next chapter.
